Cadillac Automobile Model 2022 Cadillac CT4
I bought a 2012 Cadillac SRX 9/26/2016, its my first Cadillac and I take pride in all my vehicles. Since having this vehicle, replaced alternator in November 2016 because it went bad (Figure that) $475.00 later. Now Im taking it to the dealer again for my manual lift-gate because I cant open from outside of vehicle. My mechanic said its a wiring problem because the rear defroster, rear wipers, license plate light and lift-gate light are not working. He would of fixed this but he doesnt work on very many Cadillacs. I even called Cadillac and they said it would be under powertrain warranty if it happened in 2016 or under 50,000 miles. I told them Im under 50,000 miles and I bought 9/2016. They said I would have to bite the bullet and get the electrical looked at. Customer service is below expectations even after finding out that the lift gates have been a problem for this year. Its hard to believe that so many customers have problems and nothing is resolved. The customer doesnt have a open checkbook to fix these problems that should of been a recall in the first place to correct any and all factory issues. Anyways thanks for reading.
My 2015 Cadillac CTS CUE touchscreen freezes up (no response), blinks on and off and needs to be repaired. I see hundreds of people have this same problem. GM needs to address this problem with a recall. I see the CUE system is no longer produced (go figure). I plan to address this issue with MANY social media sites to force GM to listen to those of us who have this issue.
Cadillac ats 2013 - Vehicle makes loud clunking noise when in drive and at a stop. Feels as if engine is shaking. For 50,000 miles and engine noises to appear seems as if Cadillac is a rip off. The worst, the dealer doesnt help unless you pay for them to diagnose what is so loud and clear. GM needs to get their crap together. Cadillac vehicles are beautiful, but will become ugly to an owner that has to spend so much money on an issue that is obviously from the maker. How do you expect to compete with BMW?
2012 CTS Bought from Crest Cadillac in Hoover, Al. Bought car new off lot Nov. 2012. Within 3 months engine light on. Took to dealer said nothing was wrong. Another month light came on again. Took back said something with injectors. Was not sure. I think they replaced one. Car hesitates, the RPMs rev up to 4K when Im going downhill or even going around 45 MPH. While sitting still, rpm goes from 1 to 0 constantly and the air stops cooling at same time. I have taken back so many times I have lost count. I ask before 50K warranty went out to put on diagnostic. They said nothing was wrong with it, no reason to. Still doing same thing. I have been called a liar and made fun of. When I pull up, I am treated like I am there for nothing. My car is a LEMON and I am not going to stop till something is done about it. This is the first new car I have ever bought. I thought it would be the last due to the reputation and supposed quality of a Cadillac. If I ever get out of this car, I will NEVER buy another Cadillac. I have contacted a lawyer and I do want something done. I was told that if the car computer doesnt say it happened, it didnt happen (Wow, a manmade computer). I need someone to contact me so that I can get info on who to speak with about car asap.
I purchased 2004 Cadillac SRX and thought it was a nice car. That has turned out to be the complete opposite. As of this writing, the car has only 90000 miles, the engine has been replaced, and for what my dealer said was a dropped valve. The radiator has been replaced, the transmission and/or its parts, and so many other problems that are too numerous to mention here. The car was towed in again last night with a bad water pump. The dealer said it is still under warranty and will cost me nothing, thus, being the good news. The bad news is the transfer case chain is slipping and is going to be 1,700.00 dollars. I thought, how much have I spent on that car? I called Matt, the service manager and he only said its a ridiculous amount of money. I suppose the bills on this car is well over what I spent buying the car 2-fold. I want to mention the $400.00 headlight and the $1000.00 plus radiator that got broken while fixing the engine, that I paid for. I have owned several Cadillacs and that my friend is about to change. I wish this to be over.
It took me a while to just figure out what I was really looking for in a Cadillac because their cars were all good quality models. When I narrowed it down a bit, I still had trouble deciding other features of the car which were also varying. I got a sleek, classy DeVille in a dark blue color that isnt too flashy but still retains the prestige of a cadillac. It has a tan leather interior with heated seats as well as settings that can stored for up to 2 drivers. Its passenger capacity is up to 5 people with a driver, passenger seat, and 3 people in the back, although it might be a bit of tight squeeze, but that has not been an issue. The actual specs and parts of the car were not really a great concern of mine considering I wanted to keep the car the way it is for a while.
Well I have heard a lot of stories about the Cadillac CTS and did not believe them until now. I bought my 06 CTS in February 2012. The car only had 38,000 miles on it. I heard a little ticking sound coming from the driver side part of the engine and had it looked at. The maintenance tech said it might have just needed an oil change so I had him do it. Which of course did not stop the problem. So I had spoke to a couple of friends and family members to ask them what they thought and of course no one really knew. I kept up on the oil changes and always checked my fluids since I drove this car a lot back and forth between my home and Columbus and the car never gave me a problem just had a light ticking sound. Well needless to say August 20th 2013 I was heading back to Columbus and my engine gave up and was done. It blew up at my half way point to Columbus so I had my car towed to Germain Cadillac and paid $260.00 in a tow fee and asked them to look at it while I called GM. I waited a month just to find out my car was not going to be covered even though my warranty ran out of time not mileage and now they are wanting $200.00 for the inspection they did. GM is saying that there was burnt oil and that my car threw a rod and a bearing through the block. I still owe on the car and have not had it long enough to have these kind of problems with it. This is crazy. I showed them where the car had maintenance done on it every time I traveled and that the oil was changed every 6,000 to 7,000 miles. I am now looking to go forward with a class action Lawsuit.
I purchased a brand new, off the showroom floor, 2017 Cadillac CT6 in February, 2017. On March 27, 2017 while driving in Rowland Hts., Ca. I was rear ended by a motorist who was not paying attention to the fact that everyone else but her had stopped. I had my vehicle towed to a Cadillac dealer for repair. 2 weeks later that Cadillac dealer contacted me and stated that they could not repair my car as they weren’t aluminum qualified. They found another shop in the area that was aluminum qualified but, in about 2 more weeks, I found out that this repair shop was not GM aluminum qualified. GM finally okayed a shop in North Hollywood that was qualified to repair my vehicle. My car was transported to this location but the vehicle could not be repaired at this time as there were no replacement parts available for my vehicle. Long story short: my vehicle is still in this shop and tomorrow will make it the 4th month that I have not been able to get my car back. In fairness, the Cadillac dealer that I originally took the car to has supplied me with a loaner car for the duration and they also assisted in getting GM to reimburse me for 2 months of payments on my car, but I have not seen my car for almost 4 months! Car is not totaled. My experience tells me that I will NEVER purchase another Cadillac as GM has truly dropped the ball in regard to supplying parts and a qualified repair shop. The shop that my car is still currently at is the only one in Southern California at this time so, again, I blame GM for really dropping the ball. My insurance company told me that I could take my car to any qualified repair show but by whose qualifications??? Again, I commend the dealership that has supported me during this time frame but I have lost all faith in GM.
I am a 75-year-old widow who has owned Cadillacs for 30+ years. On August 14, 2012, I rear-ended a truck pulling a trailer that was stopped at a stop light. I had severe front-end damage to my 2011 Cadillac DTS. I was wearing my seat belt; however, the air bag did not deploy. I hit and bent the steering wheel, which caused a severe concussion, five broken ribs, and facial lacerations. I was in intensive care and in the hospital for nine days. I then went to a rehabilitation center for 20 more days. I am now home, in pain, and walking with the aid of a walker. I would like an explanation for why I purchased an expensive car to get me where I needed to go and keep me safe if the main safety mechanism wouldnt work. I will never again sit behind the wheel of a Cadillac and I will encourage others not to as well.
I purchased a 2006 Cadillac CTS November 2010. Prior to this, the vehicle was under my mothers ownership and care. She purchased the vehicle directly from the Cadillac dealership. While using the CTS I assured it received the required maintenance such as oil changes, etc. February 2015 I noticed one night the vehicle began driving a little sluggish. I decided once I got home I would call in the morning to schedule an appointment. The next day I started the car and it would not turn over. It was below zero degrees that day so I accounted the issue to the weather. A few days later when the temperatures improved, I started the vehicle again with negative results.I had the vehicle towed to the local Cadillac dealership. They conducted a diagnostic exam of the engine (taking it apart) which costs $500 just for the techs to examine it. They called advising me the timing chain jumped 5 teeth on primary gear at crankshaft and there was low pressure in cylinder #6. In other words, they told me I would require a new engine at $9000! That is the new engine price and labor costs. I said no thank you, so they put the parts back in and I had the car towed to my residence. After further investigation, I realized this issue is more common than I thought. Several Cadillacs that are a CTS and other models have experienced similar issues. When I spoke with auto technicians about the issue for a second and third opinion, they gave similar responses. One auto tech that teaches automotive at the local high school and a technical school stated there are a lot of problems with Cadillac engines, especially North Star engines. He didnt even want to get a used engine for me afraid that it would also have engine trouble eventually and waste my money. He said my year and model are commonly known to have this issue. If this is indeed a common issue, why is there not a recall or lemon law case introduced? The dealer and Cadillac Corp is refusing to fix it because they state the power train warranty is up. Of course its up around the timeframe the engines begin to fail. A guy once told me when he saw me with the car be careful because after 100,000 miles they go downhill. They dont make them and build them to last like the old schools. I chalked it up to him being bitter. His Cadillac DTS transmission had to be replaced. He sold the vehicle quickly after and now I see why. I should have listened to him and sold it then.
On October 22, 2018, the CUE system on my 2016 Cadillac SRX, serial #3GYFNCE35GS548248 malfunctioned. The car had approximately 30,000 miles on it when I took it in to Myrtle Beach Chevrolet-Cadillac, in Myrtle Beach, SC, for repair. After they began the repair, they observed that I had drilled a hole in the rear of the storage compartment which is below the CUE screen & informed me that warranty would not cover the repair because I had altered the unit. They were very nice, and I am aware they have rules to go by, but this hole touched no wire or circuit board. The malfunction was not due to the hole I drilled in no way, but it was a defect in the CUE unit. There are forums all over the internet discussing the problems that Cadillac is having with the CUE system. On October 22, 2018, I contacted Cadillac Customer Service and talked to Shenevia, who set up case **. She told me she would be back in touch with me in seven days with a decision. She called back approximately ever seven days, telling me a decision had not been made, and on November 15, 2018, she called and told me that Cadillac had denied the claim. I do not agree with their decision & I do not think it was a fair & honest, because the hole I drilled had nothing to do with the malfunction of the CUE system. It is common knowledge that the CUE system has been a problem since day one! If I had drilled into a wire or circuit board, I would not be writing this letter. I could understand if Cadillac had paid for the repair, but billed me Core Charge, but I feel it is not an HONEST decision for the claim to be denied. Cadillac is using a small technicality to avoid paying for their mistakes!I have been a GM person all my life and always respected their reputation, but this case makes me wonder. I owned a Chevrolet Dealership in North Myrtle Beach, SC from 1981 until 1991 & presently own a 2017 Corvette, 2014 Cadillac CTS, and a 2016 Cadillac SRX, and I am aware that my business is like a Pea in the ocean! Sometimes COMMON SENSE should be an exception to rule! I would really appreciate you reviewing my case again.
So far I have had nothing but problems with my 2009 CTS. Ive gotten to the point where I absolutely regret even seeing it for sale on the lot, I wish I had bought ANYTHING else. I bought the car last year with around 80k miles on it. The first thing that should have been a sign that their customer service was in the toilet was when my local Cadillac dealer did a $100 oil change for me. They failed to attach the rock shield to the bottom of the car and after it tore off sounding like all hell breaking loose in their lot, they blamed me for my car missing a screw.. underneath... like I daily check those screws. And if it was missing why the heck did it stay on the car until they worked on it? My car is still naked under there. Thanks Cadillac. After a month of having the car I get the check engine light. I connect to OnStar who tells me my Auxiliary Water pump is going out. $250 later thats all better. After two months my rear door locks stopped working, I called the dealer and gave up when I was quoted $400 in labor alone. Fast forward another two months and now my car consistently overheats. Additionally I got that bad water pump code AGAIN (gosh those things are made well) - $250 AGAIN and its all better. My Daytime running lights go on and off randomly, one at a time. I look so great in my car. No one even has a clue as to why this is happening. Now my Forward adaptive lighting has started to malfunction. The passenger side bulb has turned completely purple, which sounds cool but none of the other ones are. I didnt mind replacing it myself so I started looking into it. So I have to remove the entire front of the car to change the headlight. OK no problem, Im no Einstein but I can handle some screws right? That wouldnt be a problem if I could find the bulb.I contacted Customer Service and they were anything but friendly. I tried to get help finding out where to get the bulb, but the guy copied and pasted me a bunch of website addresses that I had already searched to no avail trying to find the headlight assembly. Then asked me what I was hoping to get from contacting them, what an **. I just WANT A PART NUMBER. WHY IS THAT SO HARD?At this point Ive decided I HATE my car and Cadillac in general. I thought they had really shifted gears, and I really enjoyed my older V which is why I bought this car, but boy howdy this is the biggest piece of junk Ive ever owned. So now I have a 2009 Cadillac that I cant lock the doors on or drive at night, and Im scared to take it out of town because Im afraid the mystery auxiliary water pump will strand me. Im borrowing a friends 2000 Toyota to make my trip. Is this really the new Cadillac? I feel duped, tricked and stuck with this thing. If anyone from Cadillac happens to see this, Id love to know where to get that bulb. Im visually impaired in one eye so having two headlights would be great. Let me know.
This is great, and reliable choice of vehicle. It may be expensive to buy new, but just buy it used at a good price, and you will be more than happy. Its fancy, and makes you feel good. Its silver, with nice trim, and good rims. Its also a smooth ride. The name brand says it all, its definitely a caddy. There is many different choices you can pick from when it comes to upgrades and whatnot, but mine was bought used, so it came with whatever. You can also fit a good amount of people in the car, and still is comfortable because its such a nice car. It just depends on how large the other passengers are. Its worth every penny.
I bought it used! 2nd Cadillac Ive ever own. 1st cadillac was the same as this one. Motorist ran a stop sign and I T-boned him. Cadillac was totaled! Front end totally smashed in.. I walked away with just a scratch on my finger. Caddy saved me! So I found another one, had to do some maintenance to it (Battery, radiator & transmission flushed, alignments and tires balanced! Wanted that done whether it was needed or not), it runs great! Comfortable ride, quite and the V6 performs close to a V8. Its a luxury model! The AWD is great in snow/ice or rain. Just a solid gripping ride! Not happy with local Cadillac dealer so I go to Chevy/Buick dealer in Mendota! Very happy with them..
The engine had to be replaced with less than 95,000 miles. Perfect maintenance and multiple repairs.
The car bucks when it goes to the auto/stop on my 2017 ATS. Have told dealer several times, and they state it cant be disabled, and that there is nothing they can Do? Have had 5 CTs, and ATS, and will buy another with auto/stop.
I have extremely frustrated and disappointed with my 2013 Cadillac SRX. We purchased with 28,000 miles and one previous owner. Around 42,000 miles the CUE system stopped working on the bottom (radio) buttons. I called the local dealership and brought it in to have it looked at and they said they could not detect a problem. Around 51,000 miles the entire CUE screen stopped responding. I called the dealership again and they told me to bring the car in. I did and they told me that the whole CUE system will need to be replaced. The cost would be $1,400+ for parts and labor. Since my warranty expired at 50,000 miles they said it would not be covered under the warranty. I asked about a warranty if I were to replace the part and they told me it was 12,000 miles/12 months.I contacted Cadillac directly after speaking to the dealership to see if there was anything they could do since the problem initially started before my warranty expired, they said there was nothing else they could do and that I would have to pay to replace the CUE. I am not willing to spend $1,400+ to replace an item that Cadillac will not take responsibility for and fix. I will just have to replace the CUE system again in another 40-50,000. This is very upsetting that Cadillac was not willing to make this situation right or fix the ongoing issues with the CUE system. I am extremely disappointed in the money I spent on this car and the lack of customer service.
I love Cadillac and the style, innovation, how it feels to drive. All around class and statement of character. It’s the only car I’ve driven the last 10 years.
With barely 60,000 miles on my 2014 SRX, the CUE system began to fail. It started with the bottom middle not being able to be accessed. After a few weeks, the entire touchscreen is inoperable. I took it in for service and was told by my service advisor that it needed replaced. I asked him why - I wanted detailed information as to what was wrong with the screen. He said, I dont know, I only know it needs replaced. Of course, the Gold $3000 Extended Warranty that I purchased from my dealership doesnt cover the CUE system. I was told it would cost $1500 to replace it. He went on to tell me that it is a very common problem with Cadillacs... So much, that the part is out of stock and would be indefinitely. I have owned both BMW and Lexus in past years, and I have never had a problem this costly. I went to Cadillacs website and contacted customer service through email with the details of my complaint and was told that they couldnt do anything. Yes, it is a problem that they are aware of, but since it wasnt a safety issue, they didnt feel they had to remedy the situation. All I can say is, Thanks, Cadillac... You are a class act all the way! Never again will I purchase a Cadillac.
BOUGHT 07 cts in 2010. At 34000 miles replaced 3 engine coils, fuel injection cleaned and replace all filters. In Sept of 2013 replaced radiator with hoses and Trans and water pump... In Jan 2014 replaced all 6 coils and plugs... now the recall for the airbag sensor was fixed in 2011 and has gone bad again and Im fighting with corporate to cover it again!!! $7000 later and they have the nerve to charge me 400. I told them, no you cover it, this has nothing to do with wear and tear. Not only that but 6 forums have said this is a problem around 80,000-85,000 miles, guess who has 81,000 me! The dealer is telling me to fight and not stop because they feel the same way I do! Corporate will not budge. I spoke to a lawyer who informed me since they are aware of the problem and refuse to warranty the sensor if I get into an accident I can sue the hell out them! Im 3 steps away from calling channel 7 news and channel 11... Its time Cadillac corporate gets put on blast! I have no problems showing receipts to show what kind of car I got stuck with! One more thing Cadi converter and power train and alternator was replaced also under warranty... This is by far the worst car anyone could own!!!!!!
I have had my 2014 Cadillac SRX for 15 months. It has been in the shop for major repairs 3 times in that time and the car only has 24,000 miles. I have been communicating with the Cadillac Corp 800 # and have been treated in a way that shows I am not valued as a customer, even after owning 5 Cadillacs over the years! I was not even allowed to speak with a supervisor and was told a supervisor would call me when it was convenient for them! I became so frustrated, I finally called an attorney. Do not think that buying a luxury car will provide you with luxury customer service.
It’s an awesome vehicle. Theres a lot to choose from. They are all great choices but couldnt make up my mind so I test drove a lot of them and finally chose a winner. It came with all the features I was looking for. Bluetooth was a must and satellite radio. Electric windows and touch screen radio also and back row seats. Upgrades are a plus like seat warmer, sunroof, and all the extras. But I got those cause they are a must to me, and its more convenient. Space was also a must for me, and the vehicles capacity is awesome! The leg room, arm space are not cramped up like the other car Ive had previously. Everyone is satisfied and comfortable.
The Cadillac offers many different models, but we drive the 2006 DTS. It offers a smooth ride and a responsive engine. The model is also equipped with a digital read outs that check condition of the car. The DTS has leather interior it makes the ride extremely nice. The car comes with a large trunk which makes it easy to carry luggage and other items as well. One of our favorite upgrades are the seats, they have the option to make them hotter or colder. We also love the digital readout of tire, and engine conditions, as well as the temperature read out of the outside and inside of the car. The car can hold up to three passengers in the front and back with bench seats up front. There is plenty of leg room for passengers as well.
Cadillac has a large variety of cars that come in very upper class styles. It is very good for the older class of people and the very wealthy upper class. It is very regal in styling and uses very good edges. This is a very good brand that has a lot of high marks that makes it such an amazing brand. It can hold many people which makes it seem more roomy. The space in the back for tall people makes the car feel more accepting for the vertically gifted. It usually has all the best gadgets like a backup camera and heated steering wheel and seats that make the car feel better for the general population.
2007 Cadillac DTS very roomy, smooth ride and very comfortable. Have had no major issues since owning this vehicle, other than cracked windshield from a rock thrown by passing car and someone keying side of car.
I purchased a 2010 Cadillac SRX in December of 2009. Four years later, the cars hood had bubbling of paint where the aluminum meets the paint on the hood. I watched it increase for 2 years and to prevent any rust from forming took it to Perfect Ten Auto Collision to have it repaired. Then I heard about this happening because Cadillac had used a lower grade aluminum around the hood that butts up to the hood paint. It cost me $789.61 to have this fixed. I would just like to know if Cadillac is responsible in any way for the damage?
Cadillac cts 2007 - The transmission lines entering the radiator disconnected from the radiator causing a loss of transmission fluids. Is there a recall on this?
My experience with this car is becoming a nightmare. How could a high priced car have so many problems. I did my oil changes as required and car maintenance and now the engine is gone up. How could this happen, I need help with repairs from General Motors are a total refund for repairs. How do I get in contact with GM for help and answers? Car was bought used in 2015, it only had one owner and I had the Carfax report and service details.
Adding a follow up to my previous post regarding my CTS, the radiator blew the main hose right out of it and took out the transmission lines. The car has less than 60,000 miles, but because the warranty is up, Cadillac refused to accept responsibility for poor quality and a defect in the radiator. I paid $1,225.00 to fix the problem and put only 300 miles on the car before it was leaking transmission fluid. The GM garage sent a wrecker after the car (all the new parts were under warranty) and the problem they found was a defective new radiator. Everything needed to be replaced again! Interesting that this genuine GM part was defective, but Cadillac refuses to accept responsibility for the first one. I have read other consumer reports of the same thing happening to other CTSs. How many does it take for a recall to be issued and for Cadillac to acknowledge the problem?
My car has a Vin number that is described in the service campaign #99086. I have a blown head gasket and leaking coolant in the described campaign. Note none of the vin numbers described in the campaign have had formal recalls issued. My Vin numbers last 8 digits **. I have a work bench work history on my car from Cadillac. The campaign was issued in 2002. My car was never corrected. Miles on car is less than 80k. Northstar engine, Local Cadillac dealership in Bentonville, Arkansas states since no formal recall on my vin number they must get approval from their gm rep. Gm rep has called and denied the repair. I have filed service claim with Cadillac. Please help.
I purchased a Cadillac ATS in April 2014. Within one month it developed an extreme odor from the ventilation system. Went to the dealer in July 2014. They minimized the odor, it returned with a vengeance. In July I had my 4th visited where they implemented a Service Bulletin for the odor. Apparently there are many people with stinky Cadillacs. Within 2 weeks the odor returned worse than ever. I called the dealer and they advised they would contact Cadillac Engineering. I wrote to Cadillac who sounded sympathetic, but no real response for a remedy to my extreme problem. The problem comes from mold forming in the ventilation system. I am concerned about potential health issues as the air is very bad. Has anyone else had the same problem where Cadillac made a successful repair?
For years now my 2002 Cadillac STS have had vibration at highway speed specifically from 64 to 72 miles an hour. I gave up fixing this problem after many trials and errors and finding out that its a common defect with many Cadillacs. They do not want to admit this is a defect, shame on them. Its because of this that Im really having backaches.
I purchased brand new Cadillac Xts in 2016, after being a proud cadillac owner if several prior vehicles. From day one, this car has been a nightmare! When it was delivered the paint was messed up and it took so long to repair I made my first payment before I received the vehicle (paint still not perfect). It was so bad a cadillac rep had to come view it. My car since day one has occasionally shook when being crunk. The check engine light would immediately pop on, but when car was restarted it would go away. I was told several times by the dealership that they could only fix it if the check engine light stayed on.There were other issues as well, We were told by the General Manager not to worry. Cadillac would do a buyback and gives us 10% off of msrp of a new Cadillac. The dealership has since closed, getting Cadillac to do the right thing seems to be a nightmare! We have been dedicated Cadillac owners and never had a prior issue, this is extremely disappointing!
I purchased a 2012 Cadillac SRX with navigation package in February 2012. Upon first use, the navigation system placed me about 1/3 mile away from destination. I contacted the Cadillac dealer and they verified the problem. The dealer ordered a new navigation disk but the same errors occurred. The dealer tested the navigation system on other SRXs on the lot and all had the same problem. The dealer contacted the Cadillac representative who said that nothing would be done until the 2014 model year. I noted that the navigation system instructs the driver to make wrong turns which could result in a fatality if the driver was to enter the wrong way on a one-way street. Cadillac would not correct the problem! The Cadillac rep said that Cadillac plans no correction. If I learn of a fatality, I can document everything stated above.
I switch from a Lincoln MKX to this Cadillac. I am very impressed with it. The Cadillac is a bit smaller but has nearly as much interior room and is more comfortable. Driving is better as you can see better, is a better ride and has better power plus better gas mileage.
I like the sub while my grandma enjoys the Eldorado. I have driven both and its a good car experience. The appearance is one of the best qualities of these cars. I mostly drive one because of brand recognition. Mine is an older model that is holding up well on the road. Sometimes I wish they got better mileage though. But I am very happy with this brands passenger capacity. I went to swim practice and picked up 8 kids. I never upgraded anything on my car. I think the factory installed parts are satisfactory. However, I would like to take a reciprocating saw and cut a new moonroof in the car of mine but it seems like too much work. I wish moonroofs were standard.
My wife and I traded our Yukon Denali in on a new Cadillac XT5 on 2/21/2018. Four months after our trade, we got a correspondence from a Seattle detective indicating that our former Denali had just been involved in a criminal activity and wanted to question us about it since it was our vehicle. Turns out Larson Cadillac had not removed our license plates from the Denali and the detective thought we were the criminals. Last month we started receiving toll charges by mail related to our former Denali. Larson did take the proper, common actions to remove us from the Denali when we traded it in, and now say that its up to use to clean up the mess. Very disappointed in their lack of professionalism as we havent had that same experience with any other dealer we have ever done business with?
The 2015 Cadillac is nothing but a hot mess!! Ive dealt with headlights so dim I could not see to drive at night. After four tries, Cadillac Service finally figured out a fix. There were transmission issues: the car would hesitate when giving it the gas from a stopped or slowed position to the point it jerked you back in your seat. The battery completely died at 30,000 miles. The lift gate motor died at 32,000 miles because water from the sunroof drainage tubes literally soaked the motor, ($1800 fix). So, take my advice and just run as far away from this car as you can.
I purchased a new 2013 Cadillac CTS Coupe in July 2013. A week after purchasing the car, I noticed a popping sound when I put the car in reverse and turned the wheels. The dealership determined that the rear differential must be replaced. They replaced rear differential and 2 month later, the right rear differential seals were leaking fluid. Car returned to dealer for this repair. I have since contacted an attorney to pursue a buyback from Cadillac under the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act. The right side weather stripping/molding had to be replaced as it would not seal completely and water would enter my vehicle when it rains or when at the car wash. Cadillac says this does not qualify as a defect therefore they are only willing to grant a minimal goodwill cash offer. Cadillac/General Motors is pathetic.
We own a Cadillac CTS and had it in the shop to have a Throttle Body (part no. 9128412), Connector (part no. 15306420) and Seal (part no. 90412566) replaced. We paid $1,425.82 on 31MAR2011 to GREEN BUICK GMC (who we stopped going to because of other misdealings, i.e., they attempted to cheat us on the cost of replacing the trunk struts (They wanted $400 when the parts INSTALLED only cost us $77 at a competitor). NOW this Cadillac CTS is LuJacks of Davenport Iowa and their $130/hr diagnosis machine indicates that the THROTTLE BODY etc needs to be replaced, AGAIN!???I called GM and they refused to let me speak with Mary Barra, CEO or her executive offices. I spoke with a number of do nothings and unfortunates there. They assigned THREE (3) different case/file numbers (** then **, then again today: **). They keep putting this off. I want them to pick up the bill, pay for the repairs, etc. I should NOT have to be put through the inconvenience of being without my car for another two weeks for the exact SAME problem I already paid for three years ago. This is INFERIOR QUALITY products, aka PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE aka Quality Control aka Marketing aka Criminal Conduct aka Business As Usual at GM. This is WRONG to do people this way. They need to be held accountable. Call 855-880-1500 and let them know.
This brand has a good selection of models to choose from whether it be 4 door, one, 2 door, or sports type car. I like to have a fun car and I like to buy something that gets my friends and family attention so having a Cadillac is a eye catcher within itself and I like that. The car is totally loaded and has everything a car seeker with prestige could ask for. Its style and easy to maneuver. The color is shiny and holds its coloring so when it is dirty it does not even look that bad. The system in the car sounds good for an manufacture system. I trust the brand and I like the way it flows when I drive it and the attention I get from driving the car. I love the cd player and I like being able to take along my phone and use it in my car to hear different tracks. I like that the model every year is adding different options for their customers to select from. Now this kind of car is not really for the whole family if you have a lot of children and even though I have the grandkids it is enough room for everyone to safely fit into without being squash.
My wife and I recently rented a 2017 Cadillac XTS. We wanted to try it out before we bought one. Immediately after starting out we tried to use the CUE system and discovered that it is dangerous to use as it is totally distracting and takes your eyes off the road. It is very difficult to use the controls and activate them. I tried to plug my iPod in and it immediately froze up the system. It was extremely difficult to activate the A/C, heating and radio, stereo controls. This system is a complete failure and a deathtrap as it is dangerous to use. I hear as well that they are very prone to failure and not covered under the radio type warranty. What a failure for a car like a Cadillac where a person lays out high multi thousands of dollars. Cadillac needs to dump this system and replace it with one that this car should have. How disappointing. The car itself had adequate power but rode no better, braked no better or did it handle on curves and straight a ways any better than my 2010 Terrain. The seats were hard and uncomfortable on a long trip. As well the transmission did not do anything better than my 2010 Terrain. I expected a lot lot more from a Cadillac especially for the asking price but the car and the company did not deliver. Cadillac is asking way to much for this car and it does not deliver In conclusion we will not be buying any Cadillac of any kind and have decided to go with an Audi. We DO NOT recommend a Cadillac of any kind to any one.
When I buy a Cadillac it usually is a Coupe or a Crossover. Some Coupes they make are the ATS OR ATS-V models. Then for Crossover they make a XT5 Crossover and a Escalade/ESV. Ive purchased the ATS. The car usually is very well made. The ride was always smooth, engine was quieter. The seats are leather so its a very comfortable ride. And it usually had a royal color in the inside like a nice wood. You can alter it by changing the wood and spray color or the cars color. Some have a clock in them and nice back up checkers. If you dont like the radio in it you can go buy one that you do like and install it yourself. Its like a regular typical vehicle four seats with a middle one in the back but some crossovers might have more seats.
01 Cadillac has been giving me issues since I bought it 8 years ago. Spoke to specialist, Joe, & was demanded to take it to Cadillac dealer. Spent money I dont have for him to say, Were not helping you. Looks like another class action lawsuit!
I am very pleased overall with the Cadillac that I purchased a few months ago. This car is smooth on the road and there are many choices to choose from. I chose a gold Cadillac and the capacity of the car allows you to carry 3 or 4 passengers. The cars interior was very nice and the hubcaps on the car are very appealing to ones eye. The steering wheel is very nice to grab, as well. The car is even better if you decide to upgrade the cars interior and paint.
With a wide variety of models to choose from. Has a smooth ride while being able to pamper myself in luxury. Also dependable reliability within the CTS and GTS. Sleek, aerodynamic shape as well as a stylish interior brings luxury to the forefront of automobiles. Brings technology and chic together, and ahead of its class. From heated seats to a high-tech navigation system, you can customize your dashboard to suit your needs. With room for four passengers and driver, drive in comfort. This spacious cabin makes each drive pleasurable for all passengers lucky enough to be inside.
I purchased a 2004 Cadillac SRX last week from a dealership that did not offer a warranty. That was not the issue, considering the car seemed to be in great condition. A few days later I noticed that my Stability Control sensor repeatedly appeared on my dash, warning me of an issue. After doing my research online in regard to the issue, I noticed that this is a constant pattern for the 2004 SRX and many thousands of owners have complained with no resolution. This is a driving hazard because the car veers out of control and the breaks lock up at speeds over 50 mph.The forum discussion also mentioned a family that was killed as a result of this issue. They also mentioned numerous accidents and near accidents as well. I also know that GM is aware of this issue because they monitor the forum site and have responded with canny and inconsiderate responses to some of the comments made. The sad thing is that this vehicle has never been recalled for this issue.Essentially, I am not blaming the car dealership in regard to this issue. However, I am holding GM responsible for not correcting this highly dangerous defect years ago. I am surprised that this car is still on the road after reading all the horror stories. Thank you for your time and I hope this can be resolved before another innocent person is killed behind a companys irresponsible behavior.
2011 Cadillac Escalade - My Cadillac will not run any faster than 79 mph. This is a real problem when passing other cars. The Cadillac has a gover on it. This is my 4th Cadillac. None of my others ever gave me any trouble. The mechanic at our dealership cannot fix it. They told me not to drive faster than 79 mph. I have 140 mph on the dash.
I recently bought a USED Escalade, but I was smart enough to buy a warranty. Unfortunately, after 3,000 miles, the check engine light came on and it had low oil pressure due to worn cam bearings. When I brought it to Cadillac, I found out it happened to also be certified, which was great because not only do I have my warranty, but it is warranties through Cadillac. Now, I know my vehicle has only 53,000 miles on it, but I cant blame Cadillac for this problem. I blame the previous owners for not maintaining this vehicle. I also own an Automotive Service Center, but because of my warranty, I did have to bring it to Cadillac, and there is no way the selling dealer would have known this was going to happen when selling the vehicle. This is why I purchased a warranty. No matter how new a vehicle is, when you buy a used vehicle, you never know how it has been maintained. So for the guy that bought his car in Naperville and drove to Tennessee, you bought a used vehicle. Shame on you for not having it inspected! Yes, they were deceptive, but how can you blame Cadillac. All vehicles, whether they are American or foreign, have their own distinct issues. For instance, Honda Odyssey. I have heard from many of my customer that they had to have their transmissions replaced. Chrysler use to have problems with their transmissions. GM 3.1 liter intake manifolds leak coolant and oil. There is a technical service bulletin in which you have to take the engine out of the Toyota Avalon to change the timing chain and guides at around $4,000.My point is that vehicles are lasting much longer than they ever use to, as they should with all of the technology. The key is to maintaining your vehicle and stay on top of them when they fail. Granted if your vehicle is within 1 to 3 years and there is a serious problem, but come on after 4 to 5 years, things are going to start failing. One of my biggest complaints with the automotive manufacturers, like the gentleman with the broken window stated, is that his glass is on back order. I find that either parts are on 5 to 6 month back order, or in some case, they discontinue parts after 7 to 8 years, sometimes less. Some of the parts are not available aftermarket, which just leads me to believe they just dont want their vehicles to last so you have to purchase a new one.
I have severe scratch/scuff marks on my black SRX 2012 from the door moldings rubbing against the paint on inner door frames. This happened within three months of owning the vehicle. The dealer in consultation with GM engineers tried to soften the moldings using Kry-tox lubricant and polished the existing scratches out. Within 3 weeks the problem is back.I am now in discussions with main GM office for a more long term solution. They are suggesting 3m tape but this product peels and yellows over time and I feel this is just a band aid solution. The company that does this in my town stated this to me as well. They have not agreed to putting new weather stripping on, which may not be the solution either. But they have commented that this design flaw will be addresses with future models. Great, but this does not help me...! I dont know what the answer is, but they do not appear to be that worried that I am disappointed in paying big bucks for something that is not the quality that they lead customers to believe they are paying for.If anyone has this vehicle, please check this as it is not that apparent on lighter color vehicles. I also had rust already on the cross bar under the grill, and this had to be repainted as it comes from the factory with just a coat of primer! The dealer said not many people would notice this issue but check it out. Please comment if you have had any of these concerns. Will never buy another based on this experience. You are paying for the name but not the quality, and this is not fun!
I bought a 2005 Cadillac CTS. I was having to constantly put oil in it. I changed it every 3000 miles. I went to visit my dad in Iowa. During the first four hours, we had to add 4 quarts of oil to the car. Then 20 minutes from our destination, we hear a pop. The car engine dies. No brakes while driving 70 miles an hour. Thank God no one got hurt or died. We had it towed to the car repair shop. They said the engine is shot and I needed a new one. Upon researching we find out through numerous blogs that this is a constant problem with the CTS for this year, happened to numerous people and yet Cadillac does nothing to warn people or to repair the issues. What are they waiting for, people to die? Someone needs to do something about this. They should not be allowed to charge you a ton of money for their elite cars that have issues, get complaints, but yet do nothing about it.
Best luxury SUV dollar for dollar and safer to see traffic. Surprised at roomy front cabin. Love heads up display! Love the color blue and the white interior. Best New model and the best dealer, great car!
I purchased the 2015 Cadillac Escalade SUV before it came out. I purchased it in Aug. of 2014. I was so happy to be one of the only people in my area to drive the new model Cadillac Escalade. Everything was going great until I noticed the transmission slipping when I hit the gas. I took it into the nearby Cadillac dealer in Burlingame CA. They are called PUTNAM Cadillac. I pulled up to the service line. After I told them I was having issues with transmission. They told me to wait. I waited 20-30 mins later ask what happened. They told me, You didnt buy your car from us so just keep quiet and wait until we are ready to help you. Wow this was a shock to me. I couldnt believe a big brand company would say something like this. They kept my care for a 1-2 weeks and told me the slipping is normal. I had no choice but to believe them. I am not a mechanic but Im sure I know when a transmission slips. Anyway I took off. Also the navigation was freezing and the steps were not working properly. They also replaced the electrical harness said it was bad. Then 1 month later the steering started clicking. Long story short after 4 visits to the same dealer. They ended up replacing the complete steering console. NOT SURE WHY THEY WOULD HAVE LET ME DRIVE. MY FAMILY AROUND ALL THIS TIME IF THEY KNOW THE PROBLEM COULDNT GET FIXED. I could have gotten in a accident and took my family with me.Since I purchased this car for the family. After all the problems I had to buy my wife a minivan (while still paying for the Cadillac payments) because she didnt feel safe in the Cadillac. She didnt even let me take the kids anywhere. So I ended up purchasing a truck so I could safely drive my kids around and not loss my marriage over the Cadillac. After they replaced the steering console the clicking went away but now the steering console is loose. Wow what the hell is going on here. If this is not a lemon vehicle then I dont know what is. I just got off the phone with Cadillacs rep. They said, What do you want?. I told them I want my money bad at the least (minus any wear and tear. Im a very fair person, but I dont want to be taken advantage of.). They said That is impossible, but we will forward your info to the higher ranked people in GM. So I will wait to hear from them and see what they say. I will keep this review updated every time I speak to them so everybody will know how it is to deal with a lemon vehicle with GM.
The brakes fail without warning. When stepping on the brake pedal it will go to the floor with minimal slowing of the vehicle. The brakes need to be pumped quickly to get any pressure to stop the vehicle. I have 2 SRXs, a 2010 and a 2012, both have exhibited the same problem intermittently. Took both vehicles to St. Claire Cadillac in Santa Clara, California and they cannot find anything wrong with the vehicles. Diagnostics and brake system examination shows no failure. In my 2012 SRX I rear ended another vehicle due to the brake failure. There are multiple failures reported on the web for this same issue, when will Cadillac/GM acknowledge this safety issue? If there are other unsatisfied customers who have experienced the same problem perhaps we can file a class action suit.
The low beam headlights are so dim they are useless. New bulbs do not help. Forced to drive with high beams. Faulty designed headlights. Numerous complaints with NHTSA and Cadillac with no fix. Several lawsuits have been filed over the SRX headlight issue across the country. These cars are dangerous to drive at night.
We have a 14 ats. We bought new.. The cue cracked 2-3 later, it was under warranty so they fixed it.... Now it’s cracking again... They told us it’s a flaw that they screwed up, they should keep fixing it... And fix it right... We paid a lot of money for this car.
High grade luxury truck that is just as good or better than the rest. Had a Nissan truck before this but it cannot measure up to an Escalade. Pretty much power everything - almost too much power I had to turn some of the stuff off such as the seat that moves back when you shut off the ignition. Picked up rugged ridge floor mats, upgrade the speakers which sucked and put on a hood protector. Do yourself a favor and get the fuses which light up when they go bad. Saves a lot of hunting around for the problem. Will fit 5 people in comfort for hundreds of miles at a time and also tow whatever you need to take to the countryside - truck is the best at doing this. Best truck I ever had.
I love the car. It is very reliable, a great brand, and very affordable. I am happy with the choice I made. My friends always tell me how nice my car looks. You dont have to change much of the features because they are already stylish. I didnt do much upgrading on my car because I didnt have to but you can do a lot of upgrading if you wanted to. You can afford most of the upgrades and most car places do have all the parts. Though the back is a little crammed, the passengers always compliment how comfortable the seats are and how nice all the features are in the cars. I would recommend it to my friends and family.
I bought my 2013 SRX in 2014 and it had 12000 miles on it. The transmission shifts so hard, GM says this is normal. I dont think so. They had a recall on it, but I cant tell a difference. My cue screen quit working at 61k miles. Just over factory warranty. Dealership told me it would be at least 1200.00 to fix it, I opted to go without. Fast forward 6 months. My front left tire will not hold air, its a brand new tire. Come to find out, my rim has corroded and will not seal to the tire. Eventually, this happened with all 4 tires. Meanwhile, my cue screen has started cracking on the inside. I dont even use the cue module because it doesnt work. Dealership said it cracked because of the heat. I end up with a flat tire at end of my driveway, I go to change it, no spare, no donut. Just a can of fix a flat type stuff. I call dealership, they tell me to call roadside assistance. Seriously? I find out from the internet that I can order the cue replacement screen on Amazon for 80 bucks. I did. Then I took it to a local mechanic and had them install it for me. Cost me 130 bucks to have it installed. Beats the hell out of the minimum of 1200 for Cadillac. They try telling you the whole unit needs replaced. They take it, slap a new screen on it and sell it as refurbished. Crooks! So after buying new rims and an aftermarket screen and dealing with a hard shifting car, Im at 91k miles at this point, I get in my car to leave work and the ac stopped working. Took it to my fave local mechanic. He tries to fix it but apparently it is a sensor that has to be fixed by a gm dealer so it can be reprogrammed. Of course it does! To sum it all up, the Cadillac looks nice, the electronics quality is definitely lacking, and Cadillac does not stand behind their product. I will never buy another gm product again. My money will go back to Nissan.
Much to my surprise, I received a call from the dealership to bring my car in to replace the whole radio/navigation unit. The total cost was picked up by Cadillac ($1400). Hats off to Cadillac for owning up to this design flaw and doing the right thing. Trust reestablished.
Cadillac SRX: Very pretty SUV, handles good. However, acceleration is not so good. The problem is when you need to accelerate quickly you cannot. It takes the computer a few seconds to know that you need some power before it kicks in. I ask dealership about this, they said that is normal. But its risky and that hesitation has almost caused problems more than once, so now I know its just a doggie SUV. Last one Ill buy.
I have called dealers in my area, I have taken my SRX to the dealer and they cant find an issue and dont know of any recalls. If you drive an SRX at night you will experience the issue of NO LIGHTS on the dim option. I depend on the oncoming traffics headlights for me to see!!!! And Cadillac says thats my out of pocket expense, of course. They got their money and could care less about you so buying a caddy is just like buying another car when it comes to service. It isnt any different than buying a Kia. I will never buy another one!I have priced new bulbs with supposedly brighter output for a mere 99.00 and National Customer Service said unfortunately that would be my issue and expense, no recalls, no help, no nothing! You can read online hundreds of the same complaint, year after year and a settlement was done in Calif. and Florida only. Cadillac is just another vehicle and the service is just another service you will pay for.
I love my Cadillac SUV. I have a 2012 and 2019 year models. They handle the road nicely in rain and snow. It is a smooth riding vehicle. I have never had any issues with the vehicles. Just regular maintenance has been the only thing needed.
2004 Cadillac Deville - The first regulator failed ($366.78) 2010, service advisor said a common problem for the vehicle. The second regulator ($319.23) failed in 2012 - different dealership service advisor said known problem for the vehicle. In 2012 I emailed Cadillac to see if they would cover these repairs. Escalated in GM several levels but ultimately they denied there was a problem - the parts not defective, the failure because they were beyond expected life cycle. Today the third regulator failed. This vehicle has 51000 miles and the rear windows were rarely used if ever. I have 3 other GM vehicles (92 Cadillac Allante, 1994 Saturn, 1998 Cad Deville) - no regulator problems.
I called Cadillac on 5/42018 to get warranty information on my daughters Cadillac ATS. I explained the problems and was told by Elise that a service rep would contact me in two days. I asked, Since today is Thursday will I get a call by Saturday or Monday. She stated, Monday 5/7/2018 no later. On May 8, 2018 I called again due to dealer needing to know what my decision was on repairs and again I was told I would get a call on Monday, May 7th, 2018.Here it is Monday, May 7, 2018 and I have not received a call from anyone at Cadillac. I called them four times and was hung up on 3 times. My daughter was hung up on and when my daughter called back the Rep Nash kept rudely talking over my daughter and interrupting her explaining the issues. Nash kept insisting she put my daughter in voicemail instead of putting her on hold. Our response from Cadillac is April the service advisor is not available. The Rep refused to let her hold for April. It is now 6:50 p.m. CST and still no return call from April (service rep) from Cadillac. Very poor customer service, and disrespectful. They definitely do not have the customers interest in mind.
I took my 2011 Cadillac DTS into the dealership for warranty repairs. The chrome In the 18in wheels is peeling after less than 3500 miles. The dealership said that I hit a curb. I am the only one driving the car. I didnt hit any curb and to replace the wheel will cost me $900.
A very dependable car, very comfortable and has class. I have owned 4 Cadillac vehicles and find them to be very dependable and up to todays technology. I have owned 2 Lincoln vehicles and was not too happy with the mechanics of these cars. Cadillac manufacturers are better built vehicle and they stand behind their products.
This is all about the Cadillac CUE system. You will never realize just how integrated into the CUE system these vehicles are until you lose complete use of the CUE system. I purchased a 2015 Cadillac SRX and to be honest it was the only vehicle Id ever sat in and felt like it was meant to be. I was living in NY State at the time and had a Jeep that I drove most often so the Cadillac get too many miles on it or lots of drive time. However, when driving the Cadillac the CUE system would often lag like a slow computer. I did not drive it often enough to see it as a huge issue and just dealt with it which I now regret. Flash forward three years and Im moving back to California and I decide I can get rid of my Jeep as I will no longer need said all Terrain vehicle and was excited to be able to drive my Cadillac regularly. I decided to drive my Cadillac from NY to CA and not long into my cross-country trip did I start to worry about the way the vehicle was functioning. On day number two of my drive the CUE system became unresponsive. I lost the use of navigation and all features linked to the CUE. In doing so I realized just how many of the luxury features we pay for are integrated into said CUE system. In any case my vehicle was under warranty so I made an appointment to have the CUE system repaired. Id taken my vehicle in before to have the oil change and the customer service was unmatched. Taking my vehicle in to have the CUE was also an amazing experience and the CUE was replaced. I was nearing the mileage allowed before the warranty expired but I spoke with my Cadillac representative about the issues Id had with the CUE and explained my concern that my warranty was nearing expiration and wanted to know if this recent CUE replacement had a guarantee or warranty if it happens again. I was told as long as it is within a reasonable amount of time. Flash forward to four months after the CUE system in my Cadillac was replaced and my warranty has expired. The CUE goes black and is stuck on a reboot cycle with the screen constantly trying to turn on. The temperature controls for the vents and seats are controlled through the CUE with a host of other things. Temperature control stability is kind of important in the winter along with the cameras and again a host of other features safety and technology alike. So I called the closest dealership (45 mins.) and made an appointment for the CUE. I spent the next eight days calling and leaving messages trying to speak with ANY service advisor. Four messages, an online email and no less than 10 calls I could not get a return call. I drove the 45 minutes to my appointment after taking the day off of work because Cadillac does not do service appoints on the weekends and drop offs before 4 pm. I tried to speak with my service advisor but was just told Id have to pay for it to be fixed or at least be liable for the $180 diagnostic fee. I guess four months was not a reasonable amount of time for Cadillac to guarantee the work done in replacing my CUE system now that I am no longer a valued customer. I actually had to tweet Cadillac from the dealership just to get a call and was able to open a case for this now recurring issue with who I now know is the customer support warranty group. In any case I sat at the dealership for five hours when my service rep told me that my CUE became non functional due to an update by Cadillac which corrupted my data. I was told that Id need to bring my car back again because the 45-minute update was taking too long and Id still be responsible for any work done since I am out of warranty. I asked how it is that I am liable for an update that I did not initiate and how I could prevent Cadillac from pushing future updates to my vehicle that may corrupt my vehicle. I was told that my vehicle is out of warranty and there was nothing I could have done to prevent the update. So, there I was a day off work and five hours at the dealership still with no resolve. I called and spoke with my case manager and explained that I did not want to take my vehicle back to the same dealership, how I felt that I was no longer a Cadillac customer simply because my warranty expired and my concern that my CUE system was just replaced four months prior by a certified Cadillac service department, and I was concerned that Cadillac will continue to push data to my vehicle that subsequently makes the car features inaccessible forcing me to pay again to have it fixed. The case manager was very nice and understanding after I explained my situation and how after now taking three days off from work over a four-month period to address car issues is becoming excessive. I let her know which dealership Id like to take my car to which is 1.5 hours away and was told that shed work between both dealerships and get me into a loaner vehicle if necessary as Id already taken three days off for a recurring issue. This was on a Thursday and she said shed call me on Monday to follow up with me in regards to my new appointment at a different Cadillac location. Flash forward to Wednesday and I have not heard from my Cadillac case manager so I followed up with a voicemail. Still, no call back so on Thursday (today) just one day before my new appoint I call the dealership and find they were never contacted by anyone. I call Cadillac to try and reach my Cadillac case manager and cannot get through again. An hour later I get a call from Cadillac and am told my case manager no longer works there, no notes or anything but my name, vehicle make/model and a case number. I get a new case manager and have to go over it all again. In a nutshell my only option at this point as I am told is to take another day off, drop my vehicle off and if they need to keep it overnight Ill need to get my own rental and I will be responsible for the charges. I paid a lot of money for my vehicle and had no idea that Id only be able to retain the expensive features I paid for only for the duration of the lease. I had no idea that once a Cadillac lease expires you are no longer considered a customer and Cadillac certified work is not guaranteed. Id recommend getting an extended warranty or trading the vehicle in once the warranty expires. My Cadillac is the most expensive vehicle Ive owned to date and has been the most problematic. Unfortunately it looks like I will be stuck doing with costly repairs on my Cadillac every few months until I can get rid of this 2015 40K mile Cadillac Lemon. I would be too afraid to buy another Cadillac because when you spend this kind of money youd never expect to have so many problems with a relatively young vehicle. Buyers be aware.
They have a lot of different quality cars to choose from and different looks and quality. I would be more than happy to choose from them again. They have sedans that range from mid class to upper class and they have SUVs that range the same. Their passenger capacity is great. Most their vehicles have at least room for 3-4 in the back, 1 in the front with lots of room so they can be comfortable. Most if not all their cars have upgrade options to choose from and different engine to choose from. Their interior options are very good too.
First, I will start by saying that I LOVE my car...and this has been my 3rd Cadillac that I have owned...but I guarantee that it will be my LAST! I have a 2013 Cadillac ATS and as of last August (2017), the CUE System stopped responding to touch on the screen. Therefore, like thousands of others out there...I am unable to use the airflow controls (feet, face, etc) as well as the Navigation because you have to confirm your location ON THE SCREEN which will not work! Of course this conveniently stopped working just after the warranty expired on the vehicle. Of course the only option is to have the CUE system/screen replaced at a lovely price of $1,200-$1,500 and that alone is not a guaranteed fix. I have seen so many comments from other owners who have replaced this 2-3 times for it to only continue to FAIL!!! There are thousands of vehicles out there with this exact same issue yet GM has done absolutely nothing!!! Youre a huge corporation... Stand behind it, take care of the problem and maybe you will retain your loyal consumers. Do nothing and you will inevitably lose them.
Cadillac service WAS the best. My wife and I have had 8 in the last 20 years but ever since the big car company federal bailout they have turned into another cheap run penny pinching brand. I have always liked the styles and performance but their electronics just keep falling behind. The days of Cadillac great service are also gone. Sadly Im on my last one.
Cadillac offer many varieties, models, etc. There is something for everyone. From basic to luxury you can find it. I would definitely buy again. The appearance is sharp, nice. I like the way it looks. Features vary greatly, but there are many features that you can add or remove to make the car tailored to you. There are many upgrade and personalization options. You get to choose what you want or dont want for your car. This makes it very appealing, and customizable to each individual. Capacity is great. Very roomy without being uncomfortable. My family of 5 can easily get into the vehicle and take a trip while still being comfortable.
Nothing beats a Cadillac. Smooth looking and feeling, and powerful. 300+hp v8 gets up and going like nobodys business. Remember the last time you were in a boat? I do. The last time I drove my caddy down the street. Comfortable ride. Plush leather seats, white wall tires, wood trim and no corners are cut. Imagine being the only person in a city bus. This is how I feel riding around in my caddy. If you take people with you they will feel like that also.
Im lucky to have this car. Its a regular sedan - two in the front and two in the back. It looks great and the design is top notch. Its attractive and sleek. I get compliments from other people, too. I cant complain. There are other cars with more seats and they have all kinds of sedans and crossovers to choose from. And there are different versions of these cars. If you have the money you can upgrade to make the car flashier but its expensive. You can go from the Cadillac CTS to the coupe.
2001 Cadillac Seville STS 4 dr - I bought a used 2001 STS in approx 2010 with 96,000 miles on it. I’m a diehard GM man, my father was and my son is. I own 4 GMs at the moment. I’ve been reading these complaint issues, and as much as feel for the people writing them, my car has been running perfectly. I’ve replaced the HUD light as soon as I bought knowing it needed. Later, I replaced the AC Fan motor with an OEM unit and a new battery again OEM just recently as the vehicle had remained in a car storage unit for a year here in Ft. Lauderdale. The car does have a vibration between 64 and 72 MPH and seems to perform best at 80 MPH including best MPG. I love my Cadillac and maintain it to like new showroom condition. I need to replace the turn signal flasher at the moment, but just consumable items. I also noticed the relay for the starter is somewhat discolored due to heat and will replace it before anything happens.
The Cadillac brand offers cars for cruzin game. It has a very unique look in which it can look like a luxury fancy car, very spacious on the inside and also has a sporty look with converts me features and makes it perfect for long drives and to go ride by the beach but still looking fabulous. There has been many upgrades in the Cadillac which first is their look. It has changed but you can definitely tell it is a Cadillac only by looking at the shape of the car is more square than others. The good thing about this car is that everyone fits in the car without having to be bumping shoulders with the person next to them.
Cadillacs are the brand of many centuries, with lots of power, stability, accommodation, etc. Cadillac has so many models I cant even name, but they have great cars (selections) to choose from. Various upgrades of the Cadillac brands vary from which make and model you choose to drive, or maybe even just test drive, cause when you step foot into one, then the adrenaline rush varies by what you would want in any brand of this great, longtime brand, with lots of media speculation. The brands passenger capacity has the most capacity in the great Cadillac Escalade, so it all varies with the model you would ask for, you have to know what you want in this great company of cars, so the choice is yours, SUV or regular. The distinct appearance of a Cadillac goes to show you quality arithmetic, in every make and model of a Cadillac, especially Cadillac CTSs, in which I believe is 2015s best model on Cadillacs behalf... so there you have it--integrity with just about any Cadillac model, new or old. So go out and buy a new or used model today.
Cadillac has luxury cars in various models. They have a convertible and a truck that converts into an sports utility vehicle. They have a lot of colors and distinctive features you can see from a distance. They also have a nice resale value. We have owned 4 Cadillacs. They are very roomy, quite luxurious and comfortable. We drove ours to Florida several times and its a very smooth ride. I would recommend one to anyone.
Bought a 2015 Escalade in August 2014. Ever since then I have had nothing but problems. Had taken my car in for a vibration when I reached 70mph. Each time I had to pay out of pocket because they thought my tires needed to be balanced. The problem was still not fixed. The third time I complained and mentioned I do not feel comfortable driving the vehicle while we go out of state and demanded that they figure it out because its not the tires needing to be balanced. They fixed the problem but less than a week later, my vehicle is not blowing any cold air. I live in South Texas and it gets hot here and needless to say I also have a 2 year old who I will not put in that hot vehicle even with the windows rolled down. I brought my vehicle the day I notice the ac was out and they couldnt even look at it. Much less they didnt have any loaners to provide.I have had the worst experience with Cadillac and I will never buy another one. Also, not even having a vehicle to provide for the meantime is disappointing. I paid cash for this vehicle and they could care less if you dont have ac. I left a message to my service tech and havent received a callback. I will be trading my vehicle in for a more liable one, because not only is this an inconvenience, but I didnt pay 80k for my vehicle to give me these problems. Forgot to mention, I never even heard from the service manager or GM. If I knew a customer is having all these problems, I would make sure their needs were met. Thank you Cadillac. The only helpful person is my sales representative who doesnt have much say when it comes to service.
I own a 2011 SRX and at 77,000 Km. I noticed a humming noise coming from the rear of the car. It sounded like an exhaust leak as it varied with acceleration. I took it to my dealer and it was found to be a worn left wheel bearing. It was replaced at no cost to me. The same noise started to appear again at 88,000 km. I returned to the dealer with the same complaint and this time it was deemed to be the right rear wheel bearing. But this time since the vehicle was past the 80,000 km warranty it was going to cost me about $500 to repair. I argued that it should have been replaced with the original complaint and ended up paying for labor only $200. Is this normal for both wheel bearings to wear out with this mileage?
Very Comfortable to ride in. The overall experience of a smooth ride. The seating is spacious. Body style is sleek and eye catching. Appreciation of the bose system produces a great sound. It handles very well over the road. The automation of the seat adjustment and the back lumbar gives you a more relaxed experience while driving. During the colder days to be able to heat the leather is rewarding.
CUE stop working. Just like so many others out there who have left reviews on the Cadillac CUE, I am angry. This is my first Cadillac, and I am very surprise that GM has not addressed this issue. I have own other GM products, which I have been happy with in the past, but this issue with the CUE makes driving my 2016 SRX somewhat dissatisfied.
So many unique extras, indoor trim with an actual background light adds that extra appeal of a extra touch of class. The trunk opens with two touches of the Cadillac emblem, the powerful computer that does everything from a display of your tire inflation to how many miles you have left on a tank of gas. The navigation system that keeps you on a precise direction. Turns a long distance trip into casual country drive. You get there before you reach destination before you realize it.
I have owned my 2006 DTS for 3 years. I bought it used with 51,000 miles. It now has 142,000. The car is very comfortable to drive and ride in. I love all of the luxury features such as automatic high beams, memory seats, remote start, and XM radio. I had a roomy trunk and quiet interior. It gets between 21 and 23 mpg pretty consistently on regular unleaded. What I dont like about it is how often it needs repairs. Around 70,000 miles, I had to have the entire front suspension system essentially rebuilt, as tie rods, ball joints, and struts were worn out. I developed several oil leaks, and I have stopped trying to get those fixed. Changing front turn signal bulbs and headlights requires the front bumper be removed. Parts seem expensive. I plan to keep it for another couple of years. I doubt that I will be replacing it with another Cadillac.
The seats on my 2013 XTS are very uncomfortable. Both my wife and I can’t ride more than 10 miles. The seats are too small, and we are not big people. I will not buy another Cadillac. They dont want to change the seats for more comfort. I have a 2005 Deville. Thank God for that car. If Cadillac would do something, I would be very happy. Otherwise, I will tell everyone about this car.
This is by far my most favorite vehicle, love this car. Smooth ride, excellent sound system, beautiful style, phenomenal presence, large trunk and prestige while driving. I like the sunroof, leather seats, back up camera, dual zones for heating and cooling, heated seats, the red color and black interior, comfortable seating, roomy, Bose speakers. It is excellent and will purchase again. But I would like cheaper parts as it is too expensive to get repairs done on the vehicle and better vision hard to see surroundings. Also, the lease terms have too few miles included.
Bought my 2013 SRX off the showroom floor. Love it, my wife drives it to work and it is garage keep. After 30,000 had to have a new battery. When the warranty ran out in July 2017, the next month the CUE system locked up and the dealer wanted 1400.00 to replace it. Then I argue and beg that I am only two months out of warranty, then they replace it for 325.00. So I did some research and found the company that makes the CUE system (Infotainment) and contacted customer service who gave me a additional warranty on the system til 2022 or 123,000 miles. Now my heated seats do not work, I am a retired GM employee of 36 years and getting disgusted with this car. I drive a 2000 Cadillac STS 97,000 miles six CD changer still works along with the radio and the heated seats are hot. All four.Updated on 01/09/2018: As stated in my previous review, I purchased this 2013 SRX off the showroom floor. And now after 50,322 miles, garage kept it is falling apart. At 30,000 new battery, 48,000 replace CUE system and now the heated seats do not work.at 50,322 miles. The Cadillac dealer wants 900.00 dollars to fix. The passenger side worked the night before I took it to the dealer (Delaware Cadillac) and now neither works. Initially the service advisor told me 1600.00, but after discussing the problem with GM, they decided to pay 50%. If they are having a problem with the heated seats it should be fully covered. I am not happy as being a GM employee of 36 years. Maybe time for a change.
I have a 2002 Cadillac Escalade that has been covered and babied since new. This past week, we were driving on freeway and my paint started peeling off the hood and off the roof top. I went home to wash and when I started spraying, it just kept peeling off like a big bubble underneath paint. My wifes car has been well taken cared of and has very low miles which still looks like its brand new until this paint started peeling. My wifes brother works for GM for 40 years and he said that his was an Elpol discrepancy and GM needs to re-paint. Please let me know what my next step should be.
Waited months 4 new Escalade. Had only 6 days & in shop ever since& rental car Im paying for because no loaners. Calls emails w/ advisors only delay & pawn U off! Its GMs new corporate culture? Service Request Number: **
I purchased a 2015 SRX with $13,000 miles on it. Within the last six months, the CUE screen wont work on the bottom, the wiper fluid motor stopped working, had to replace a fuel injector and just yesterday the motor on my right passenger side window went out. I drove to work in the pouring rain with my window partially down. I have had several vehicles in my lifetime, but this is by far THE WORST! These cars are not cheap but they sure have all kinds of things go wrong with them. I will NEVER buy another Cadillac!
I bought a new 2017 Cadillac XT5. I had a problem with the cruise control. It took 4 visits to the maintenance department before they fixed the problem. I had to take my Cadillac in because the fuel gauge would not work properly. I simply washed my xt5 and somehow it caused the door locks to not work. It cost me $575 to get it fixed. I called the corporate office seeking a refund and give Cadillac a chance to stand by their product but they refused. So, if you want to take a chance and buy a Cadillac....good luck.
I bought a new 2011 Escalade ESV. The rims are rusting and flaking, and the chrome trim package is rusting. Cadillac and the dealership’s response is that its from chemicals put on the road and its not their problem. My Escalade never is dirty. When I drive on snowy roads, its washed immediately. In 45 years of owning vehicles, Ive never had a vehicle with rust problems. I bought an $82,000 Escalade. I have rust issues and I have lived in snow country all my life so I know all about chemicals on the roads. This is my last Cadillac. Dont make the same mistake I did. Stay away from Cadillac. I thought that at least Cadillac would come back with an offer to replace rusting rims and trim at their cost or a discounted price. They made no attempt to rectify the problem. Cadillac customer service very poor and Cadillac is not concerned about your problems.
I own a 2009 Cadillac CTS-V. In 2014, I received a bulletin from GM that a bearing in the supercharger could go bad and ultimately seize the engine. The letter went on to say they extended coverage for this problem for 10 years or 120K miles. The letter instructed me to listen for a rattling noise when the car was at idle. It expressly said in the letter, not to bring the car for service unless you hear the noise. At my next service, I asked if the car had the problem - they said No, that is the injectors you are hearing. The next time the car went for service was 130,000 miles. I never heard a rattling noise, but the car was diagnosed with the problem. It will cost me $3,250 to fix. This is just after pouring over $6,000 into the car (new rear-end, etc.). I called customer care and explained that the letter said not to bring the car in unless I heard the noise. This was a known problem that GM was aware of - I did as they instructed and now I am facing a $3,250 bill. I realize the car is over the mileage limit (despite being well within the 10 year extended coverage for this issue), so I asked if they would consider paying half. I further explained that I am an owner of three GM vehicles and was in the market to replace one. They just said No.
GM Cadillac start to disintegrate at 55,000 miles. Not worth the money. No customer service. GM makes the worst cars and GM executive customer service is even worse than their cars. I will never buy a GM and my family and their families will know my disgusting experience with your GM vehicle and horrible staff especially the CEO of GM. NEVER PURCHASE A GM. Horribly manufactured with horrible customer service, if you can ever get a one the phone. My customer service on my Caddy was just horrible and the repair warranty was the worse. Plus, all inferior plastic parts in the Cadillac are disintegrating before my very eyes. And this a low mileage car that was very expensive but built with inferior materials. All glam and hype but no quality. NO MORE GM FOR ME, FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND FRIENDS OF FRIENDS.And one more thing, there has been a knocking in my engine from the day I drove it off the lot but somehow every time I took it in to have GM their mechanics always told me thats normal for this type of vehicle to have knocking in the engine. When I took my vehicle outside of GM to be looked at by Cadillac mechanics, I have been told that this was not normal for this Cadillac to be knocking all the time. I rest my case with GM and whoever is running GM. Plus the windshield was never put in properly. It is just a badly made vehicle with the brand name Cadillac. What a shame for such a classic. Horrible experience with GM dealership, GM customer service and tried to reach the CEO Mary.
I leased a brand new 2013 Cadillac ATS, four cylinder 2.0 turbo. According to Cadillac the fuel consumption is 21/31. That is a lie! I have 10,000 miles on the car after a year and I am getting about 18 miles per gallon. Best I ever got was 22 going from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando, all highway. They simply lied to the consumers. The government needs to step in and fine them. If there is a class action lawsuit on this, I would like to join!
2002 Eldorado - Bought it used with 18,000 miles on it in 2004. Runs fine and gets excellent mileage. It is the most economical Caddy I have ever owned. Of course I keep it serviced as I have with all of them. I still have a 1983 Coupe DeVille Ive had since 1986. I rebuilt the 4100 engine at 141,000 miles. It has 161,000 miles now. I have a 1978 Seville, a 1986 Fleetwood Brougham, and a 1984 factory Limo. All run fine, no issues. I recently sold a 1984 Fleetwood Brougham. Storage space is getting to be an issue. I only have a building large enough for 12 autos. Some of my drivers are other brands. I am not fond of the new bodies so I keep my old Caddies and drive them wherever I wish. When I need a mechanic I use certified individuals, no shade tree men. Wish you all could have the fortunate experience I have enjoyed with my family of old Caddies.
I am disappointed that 3 out the 4 window regulators on my 2004 DeVille needed to be replaced by 2010. This is quality? This is Cadillac. Its very dangerous on the highway when your window slides into the door at 60 to 70mph in inclement weather.
At first it was great, but then the lower part of the screen would no longer sense your touch. After a couple of weeks it just stopped working altogether by touch. Fortunately the steering wheel and the verbal command still works for changing the channels. Shame on Cadillac for putting a pile of crap in a flagship car line.
My Cadillac is a goldish color and black and it has beautiful tires and the rims are gold as well. This car is one of the best cars I could possibly have. It has a child protection car seat and airbags and it stops when it senses a car wreck. The passenger capability is very good as well because it has a safe proof belt as in seatbelt because in case of an accident it actually holds everything down. Driving is very easy. The car is faster with the new oils and much safer and you can drive anywhere as possible as you want even in mountains and snow sometimes and rain. It is very amazing and I would suggest this car to anyone if possible.
When new, my 2006 CTS with 3.6 liter V-6 used about 3 quarts of oil per 5000 miles. At 70,000 it was using 7 to 8 quarts per 5000 miles. At 93,000 it uses 9-10 quarts per 5000 miles. I bought an after market warranty for 8 years but kept getting the song and dance from the original service desk, and the next dealer did the same, after we moved across the country. The first dealer said oil usage was tolerable and should be ignored. Second dealer said the aluminum heads caused excessive oil use, not to worry. I told him my Toyota with well over 100,000 miles had an aluminum head and had never used a drop of oil. Then the service rep said bring it in after he was free from all these recalls and hed have a look. He said the engine would be drained and Mobil 1 synthetic oil would be put in the engine and Id have to return to the garage to get oil added so the system could be monitored. I told the service rep I had Mobil 1 five-quart jugs marked with mileage readings and I had been monitoring oil consumption since the car was new. The engine burned nothing but Mobil 1 oil. I told him repairing this engine was not an option, because it burned oil when new. It needed a different engine that would bolt in. I offered to buy an engine, but not the same 3.6 liter from Opel. He said I could schedule an appointment when the engine man came back. Had I been told the engine was from Opel, I would never have bought the car. I had to learn that on the internet. I thought Cadillac learned not to do this in the 1980s after they sold a low grade Cavalier with an Opel engine and called it a Cadillac. GM used to make good engines. Cadillac was a flagship product. What has happened? I dont blame GM, since the mistake was mine in buying a Cadillac. I recognized the decision was a big risk. But mostly Im just disappointed GM continues to market Cadillac heavily with glitz and sex appeal and make such a horrible product. How many American consumers must be duped?
