While driving my 2005 STS Cadillac, the back brake system locked while I was driving about 45 miles a hour. The back wheels were locked sending the car spinning out control. I had my son and daughter in the car as well. I almost hit several other cars. It finally stopped in the middle of the intersection of a very busy street. We could have been killed. I am in the process of contacting the dealership to see what malfunction. Just wondering, has anyone else ever had this to happen?

I am very pleased overall with the Cadillac that I purchased a few months ago. This car is smooth on the road and there are many choices to choose from. I chose a gold Cadillac and the capacity of the car allows you to carry 3 or 4 passengers. The cars interior was very nice and the hubcaps on the car are very appealing to ones eye. The steering wheel is very nice to grab, as well. The car is even better if you decide to upgrade the cars interior and paint.

At 52,000 miles my computer screen on my 2014 SRX frozen up effectively paralyzing my ability to direct my cars operations. The new radio will cost 1,500.00 and is back-ordered for months. It seems to me, that this problem is prevalent and reflects a design flaw issue. This is the last Cadillac I will purchase.

Cadillac offers a variety in types of vehicles that would meet your needs for both luxury and style. It is a brand that in my opinion you cannot go wrong with. The appearance of Cadillac vehicles are outstanding. The features are also top of the line from GPS to rearview cameras and self parking. I love the space that you get with Cadillac. I am always very comfortable with the amount of space that I get in my vehicle even with a car full of people.

My son was involved in an accident in my 2006 Cadillac STS in the mountains of Dahlonega, Georgia. The accident was an off the road incident where son lost control of the car and impacted several trees with the side and front of the vehicle. The impact was severe enough to push the front bumper back to the radiator and front frame rail. The airbag did not deploy, and OnStar did not notify us of the accident. Though my son made it out with just mild injuries, if he hadnt we may not have known of the accident for hours. OnStar claims that they have other sensors other than the ones on the airbag deployment system. From the degree of impact they should have be notified. The airbag problem seems to fairly prevalent and there are several complaints of the failure. IT happened to my car, could it happen to yours?

What they had then and what they have now are different. A Cadillac no matter what model is a prime car at that time and very dependable. You cant go wrong with one. This was my 1st car in 1962. It had a sleek body style with sort of mud flaps called wings which clipped on the back tires. It had everything the cadillac had to offer. Radio, heat, air which was about it back then. The car had both a front and a back full bench seat that would ride 6 to 8, very comfortable and has plenty of leg room.

No Spare Tire! Sorry I bought this SRX. I bought a Cadillac SRX brand new From Massey Cadillac North in Orlando. After all the paperwork I was handed the keys and the salesman and I went over the car. I asked, Where was the spare tire stored? The salesman said, It did NOT have a spare tire just a small compressor with adhesive for a flat tire. Caught up in the excitement I left but called the next day. I asked the price of a spare tire and was told $800.00. I asked why so much, the dealer spokesman said, Because we have to make the hole bigger in the rear storage compartment.I just bought a spare tire kit last week online from a Cadi dealer and paid $600.00. There was a tire, rim, jack, and jack handle everything else was FOAM painted black. What a rip-off. I have been buying Cadillacs all my adult life. I am very unhappy with what GM has done to consumers to lessen the weight to meet standards and at the same time reduce costs and the hell with the consumer. I think the dealer should have done better by me. I am done with buying Cadillacs. I will keep my SRX until... Thank you.

GM Cadillac start to disintegrate at 55,000 miles. Not worth the money. No customer service. GM makes the worst cars and GM executive customer service is even worse than their cars. I will never buy a GM and my family and their families will know my disgusting experience with your GM vehicle and horrible staff especially the CEO of GM. NEVER PURCHASE A GM. Horribly manufactured with horrible customer service, if you can ever get a one the phone. My customer service on my Caddy was just horrible and the repair warranty was the worse. Plus, all inferior plastic parts in the Cadillac are disintegrating before my very eyes. And this a low mileage car that was very expensive but built with inferior materials. All glam and hype but no quality. NO MORE GM FOR ME, FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND FRIENDS OF FRIENDS.And one more thing, there has been a knocking in my engine from the day I drove it off the lot but somehow every time I took it in to have GM their mechanics always told me thats normal for this type of vehicle to have knocking in the engine. When I took my vehicle outside of GM to be looked at by Cadillac mechanics, I have been told that this was not normal for this Cadillac to be knocking all the time. I rest my case with GM and whoever is running GM. Plus the windshield was never put in properly. It is just a badly made vehicle with the brand name Cadillac. What a shame for such a classic. Horrible experience with GM dealership, GM customer service and tried to reach the CEO Mary.

Love my car but hate the radio or cue system. From the first year we bought this car the screen on the radio would freeze up. But after a day or so it would be ok again. Not sure why it would work again but happy it was working. Then this past month it froze up and we have tried everything to fix it. Just called the local Cadillac dealer and they said it is common but my warranty is out and it could cost anywhere between 1500.00-2200.00, yikes!!! There should be a recall on this radio system because I have read many reviews this past month while trying to figure out why mine wasnt working.

Recently purchased this as a new car from a local dealer who used it as a courtesy vehicle. It had only 2500 miles and had most of the factory warranty remaining. I am glad I did not pay the new car price and paid at a nearly 40% discount off sticker. This Cadillac defines why discerning luxury car buyers never cross shop Cadillac and laugh at the notion of Cadillac being a luxury brand. This car is rife with rattles, poor fit and finish, low quality materials, the failure that is CUE, clouding headlamps (at 4000 miles), constant headlight malfunction warnings, misfitting panels, steering that seems to have a mind of its own often failing to turn with input or causing the wheel to jerk without input. This is the sorriest excuse for a luxury automobile ever and explains why Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Lexus, Volvo, Jaguar, and other traditional luxury brand owners will never cross shop a Cadillac.

My wife and I traded our Yukon Denali in on a new Cadillac XT5 on 2/21/2018. Four months after our trade, we got a correspondence from a Seattle detective indicating that our former Denali had just been involved in a criminal activity and wanted to question us about it since it was our vehicle. Turns out Larson Cadillac had not removed our license plates from the Denali and the detective thought we were the criminals. Last month we started receiving toll charges by mail related to our former Denali. Larson did take the proper, common actions to remove us from the Denali when we traded it in, and now say that its up to use to clean up the mess. Very disappointed in their lack of professionalism as we havent had that same experience with any other dealer we have ever done business with?

We purchased a 2014 Cadillac SRX and have been very delighted with its ride, performance and overall comfort. One year after we purchased it our rear power liftgate stopped working. I looked online for an answer to this issue and was very disappointed to see that the issue is an ongoing problem with MY 2010-2015 SRXs. I also discovered this issue is far more serious. Apparently there are drain tubes along the top on both sides inside the car. These tubes clog and cause water to instead run off back into the car soaking the front carpets, rear carpets and more importantly the control module for the rear power hatch which is located in the spare tire compartment. It was easy enough to open the rear hatch manually and also get to the module I understand, I can replace this, however the most disappointing issue overall is that Cadillac is aware of this issue from numerous complaints previously but refuses to step up and both recall and repair this issue. No wonder Cadillac has an overall satisfaction rating of 2 Stars. I would be very interested in joining a class action lawsuit with other SRX owners to force GM to fix this and cover all costs. It could be like the strut issue they are being sued for and someone may have to die before they decide to spend the money to do so! A month ago the tailgate started coming down on my girlfriend who was reaching in the back for something. Had she not noticed and got out of the path of the door this could have turned out a much worse story. I now realize this was the beginning of the circuit board deterioration as it quit just a month or so later. This issue obviously also hurts any resale value we had which was also an important part of our decision in purchasing the SRX. Anyone reading this that may have any info on a possible lawsuit please feel free to advise us so we may jump in. I am beginning to understand why American products are losing to our foreign competition. GM, the right thing to do is to step up for the Americans that you are supposed to represent and that put you on the map to start with, so admit this default, recall and repair this issue for us all at your expense and let us get on with our lives. Otherwise, I will never purchase another GM product again!

My company, Yellow Cab, owns a 2003 Cadillac Deville, vin#**, that needs a lower control arm, GM part#25701173. I contacted the Cadillac dealer, Rimrock Auto, in Billings, MT parts dept (Jeff) **. He states that part is no longer made. It is now made by AC Delco. The problem is that part is not the same and does not fit. He suggested contacting Cadillac. Cindy at Cadillac said I had few options including a junk yard part. I said that would not be acceptable because of being a public transportation company safety is a concern. This car is out of service and costing money daily. Are they required to have new parts for 10 years or what? Thanks.

I purchased a 2012 Cadillac SRX with navigation package in February 2012. Upon first use, the navigation system placed me about 1/3 mile away from destination. I contacted the Cadillac dealer and they verified the problem. The dealer ordered a new navigation disk but the same errors occurred. The dealer tested the navigation system on other SRXs on the lot and all had the same problem. The dealer contacted the Cadillac representative who said that nothing would be done until the 2014 model year. I noted that the navigation system instructs the driver to make wrong turns which could result in a fatality if the driver was to enter the wrong way on a one-way street. Cadillac would not correct the problem! The Cadillac rep said that Cadillac plans no correction. If I learn of a fatality, I can document everything stated above.

Leased a 2014 Cadillac in November of 2014. Had no issues with the car up until March of 2016, when use of the air conditioner resulted in a strong musty odor being blown in my face. Took the vehicle to the local Cadillac dealership, Holman Cadillac, in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, where I was told the musty odor was a result of mold development on the air conditioning evaporator. After treatment at HOLMAN Cadillac with some type of chemical they used, the vehicle was left reeking of a strong chemical odor. Holman service personnel told me the odor was not harmful, and would dissipate in a few days, but it did not. Six days later with the first use of the air conditioner I ended up at the emergency room after coughing and spitting up blood with use of the vehicle. Holman has denied that there is any chemical odor in the vehicle whatsoever, in spite of a GM inspector, an industrial hygienist, and another Cadillac service manager confirming the chemical odor. GM has refused to allow any Cadillac dealership to do warranty work on the 11,000 mile vehicle, as one can only presume they are concerned about possible litigation due to their defective vehicle. At this point, I have a vehicle with no HVAC system, and I am forced to drive in hundred plus degree weather with NO A/C, and in downpours with the windows open due to NO DEFROSTER. Nobody at HOLMAN Cadillac or at GM could care less if I live or die, as I have now been HOSPITALIZED a second time after an attempt to use the AC with the windows down as temperatures reached 95 degrees. I am now forced to go buy another vehicle just to go to work, as it is unsafe to drive the Cadillac. I hope that someone can benefit from what Im typing here as I had to type it four times.

This is all about the Cadillac CUE system. You will never realize just how integrated into the CUE system these vehicles are until you lose complete use of the CUE system. I purchased a 2015 Cadillac SRX and to be honest it was the only vehicle Id ever sat in and felt like it was meant to be. I was living in NY State at the time and had a Jeep that I drove most often so the Cadillac get too many miles on it or lots of drive time. However, when driving the Cadillac the CUE system would often lag like a slow computer. I did not drive it often enough to see it as a huge issue and just dealt with it which I now regret. Flash forward three years and Im moving back to California and I decide I can get rid of my Jeep as I will no longer need said all Terrain vehicle and was excited to be able to drive my Cadillac regularly. I decided to drive my Cadillac from NY to CA and not long into my cross-country trip did I start to worry about the way the vehicle was functioning. On day number two of my drive the CUE system became unresponsive. I lost the use of navigation and all features linked to the CUE. In doing so I realized just how many of the luxury features we pay for are integrated into said CUE system. In any case my vehicle was under warranty so I made an appointment to have the CUE system repaired. Id taken my vehicle in before to have the oil change and the customer service was unmatched. Taking my vehicle in to have the CUE was also an amazing experience and the CUE was replaced. I was nearing the mileage allowed before the warranty expired but I spoke with my Cadillac representative about the issues Id had with the CUE and explained my concern that my warranty was nearing expiration and wanted to know if this recent CUE replacement had a guarantee or warranty if it happens again. I was told as long as it is within a reasonable amount of time. Flash forward to four months after the CUE system in my Cadillac was replaced and my warranty has expired. The CUE goes black and is stuck on a reboot cycle with the screen constantly trying to turn on. The temperature controls for the vents and seats are controlled through the CUE with a host of other things. Temperature control stability is kind of important in the winter along with the cameras and again a host of other features safety and technology alike. So I called the closest dealership (45 mins.) and made an appointment for the CUE. I spent the next eight days calling and leaving messages trying to speak with ANY service advisor. Four messages, an online email and no less than 10 calls I could not get a return call. I drove the 45 minutes to my appointment after taking the day off of work because Cadillac does not do service appoints on the weekends and drop offs before 4 pm. I tried to speak with my service advisor but was just told Id have to pay for it to be fixed or at least be liable for the $180 diagnostic fee. I guess four months was not a reasonable amount of time for Cadillac to guarantee the work done in replacing my CUE system now that I am no longer a valued customer. I actually had to tweet Cadillac from the dealership just to get a call and was able to open a case for this now recurring issue with who I now know is the customer support warranty group. In any case I sat at the dealership for five hours when my service rep told me that my CUE became non functional due to an update by Cadillac which corrupted my data. I was told that Id need to bring my car back again because the 45-minute update was taking too long and Id still be responsible for any work done since I am out of warranty. I asked how it is that I am liable for an update that I did not initiate and how I could prevent Cadillac from pushing future updates to my vehicle that may corrupt my vehicle. I was told that my vehicle is out of warranty and there was nothing I could have done to prevent the update. So, there I was a day off work and five hours at the dealership still with no resolve. I called and spoke with my case manager and explained that I did not want to take my vehicle back to the same dealership, how I felt that I was no longer a Cadillac customer simply because my warranty expired and my concern that my CUE system was just replaced four months prior by a certified Cadillac service department, and I was concerned that Cadillac will continue to push data to my vehicle that subsequently makes the car features inaccessible forcing me to pay again to have it fixed. The case manager was very nice and understanding after I explained my situation and how after now taking three days off from work over a four-month period to address car issues is becoming excessive. I let her know which dealership Id like to take my car to which is 1.5 hours away and was told that shed work between both dealerships and get me into a loaner vehicle if necessary as Id already taken three days off for a recurring issue. This was on a Thursday and she said shed call me on Monday to follow up with me in regards to my new appointment at a different Cadillac location. Flash forward to Wednesday and I have not heard from my Cadillac case manager so I followed up with a voicemail. Still, no call back so on Thursday (today) just one day before my new appoint I call the dealership and find they were never contacted by anyone. I call Cadillac to try and reach my Cadillac case manager and cannot get through again. An hour later I get a call from Cadillac and am told my case manager no longer works there, no notes or anything but my name, vehicle make/model and a case number. I get a new case manager and have to go over it all again. In a nutshell my only option at this point as I am told is to take another day off, drop my vehicle off and if they need to keep it overnight Ill need to get my own rental and I will be responsible for the charges. I paid a lot of money for my vehicle and had no idea that Id only be able to retain the expensive features I paid for only for the duration of the lease. I had no idea that once a Cadillac lease expires you are no longer considered a customer and Cadillac certified work is not guaranteed. Id recommend getting an extended warranty or trading the vehicle in once the warranty expires. My Cadillac is the most expensive vehicle Ive owned to date and has been the most problematic. Unfortunately it looks like I will be stuck doing with costly repairs on my Cadillac every few months until I can get rid of this 2015 40K mile Cadillac Lemon. I would be too afraid to buy another Cadillac because when you spend this kind of money youd never expect to have so many problems with a relatively young vehicle. Buyers be aware.

I acquired a 2004 SRX with the Northstar 4.6L engine six months ago with 131,000 miles on it. The car looked immaculate and had every option known to man so I tried to block out all that I had previously heard/read about maintenance problems with Cadillacs. On the first day of ownership, I noticed the coolant reservoir was dry so I filled it up. That quickly became a ritual. I now understand why reviews I read said their SRX spent more time in the shop than out. Within six months, Ive had to replace the power steering pump, alternator, battery, headlight, radiator, thermostat, brake pads, catalytic converter, exhaust manifold and emergency brake. As if all that wasnt bad enough, it was confirmed today that Ill need a head gasket or a another engine (which in some cases is cheaper). All this within 2,000 miles of driving!Well its game over for me. Ill take whatever I can get for this dog and NEVER buy a GM vehicle again. Bailing out GM was the last thing the government shouldve done! They dont care about their customers! And to think, my last car was a Mazda 3 that I drove for 10 years with $670 in total out-of-pocket maintenance costs. NEVER AGAIN...

My 2015 Cadillac CTS CUE touchscreen freezes up (no response), blinks on and off and needs to be repaired. I see hundreds of people have this same problem. Over 2 weeks ago, the brakes on my 2007 Cadillac DTS suddenly felt soft as I was going down a hill. This was immediately followed by the following warning signs lighting up on the dash: Check Brake System, Check Brake Assist, Check Traction Control. I managed to get the car down the hill without going over the edge and took it to the GM dealer in town for repair. They advised me that 3 of the brakes needed to be replaced but that there was one part they did not have in stock. After a week of them being unable to locate a dealer in Kentucky that had this part, they were allowed to access GMs system where GM locates and arranges for shipment of the needed part. More than 2 weeks have now passed and no part has been forthcoming, nor do I have any idea when (if???) the part will arrive. So meantime, I and the dealership are a captive audience to this. I would trade the damn thing in but not for another GM product; except, of course, I cant move it as it has no brakes. It is just stuck there in the dealers service department while GM has failed to find and provide the needed part. What happened to the law that says auto manufacturers must make and retain parts for every vehicle they make within a ten-year period? I am not sure how to proceed from here as to if it would do any good to complain to the federal government with regards to lack of available parts or whether to go see a lawyer.

Cadillac has a great selection of models from mid-sized, full-sized and SUV vehicles to fit any need with top-notch quality. The current line-up can compete with the luxury vehicle offerings from domestic and foreign car manufacturers. The interiors are luxurious and the exterior has interesting styling with many modern concept cues. The higher-end models have spacious seating and cargo. The options that come standard are decent and the fit and finish is well worth the price paid. I would definitely recommend their offerings over competitors.

We have a 2014 Cadillac SRX... One of the key fobs went bad. Called our Cadillac dealership (Sunset Cadillac) and was told the cost was $200+.. Took the car in and they said it would have to be programmed, still no mention of extra charge for programming. Got the bill and the total was $447.74. Was not told the programming was extra!! $155.00 for programming. $35.00 for miscellaneous charge. We could have bought a fob off eBay for $32.00 and had it programmed for the $155.00 and been a whole lot cheaper! But since we thought Cadillac’s pricing included programming we didn’t go this route. I called the dealership the same day and vented my frustration, to no avail. On top of that they kept our old fob, which we were going to keep for the key. Not happy customers. We are in the market for a new vehicle, it will not be a Cadillac...

I purchased a 2013 Cadillac ATS in 2014 with 11,000 miles on it. I wish I had read about the problems with the Cue system freezing up. I now have that problem, mine is frozen. I called Cadillac and complained about it, case # ** and asked if there was any recalls on this. I spoke to Ashley on 1/17/18 and she said that I should take it to the local dealer to see what the problem is. I told her that I did not want to pay 100.00 for someone to tell me that it needs replacing. Ashley told me that I may get some help from Cadillac to replace the unit. I dropped the car off on 1/25/18 for my 10am appointment, it took all day for the dealer to look at the car and in the end they told me that it needed to be replaced at a cost of 1479.00 and gave me a bill for 143.81.1/29/18 Spoke to Ashley at Cadillac and told her what transpired and told her I was not happy. Ashley said that she would look into it and get back to me within 72 hours. On 2/6/18 I finally received a call from Ashley at 10:31am at the time I could not talk and that I would call her back in an hour or two. I called back at 12:26pm left message to call me. On 02/7/18 Ashley called back and told me there is nothing they will do for me. I told Ashley that after owning many Cadillacs over the year and that we have two Cadillacs now, that I will never buy another Cadillac.

I like the sub while my grandma enjoys the Eldorado. I have driven both and its a good car experience. The appearance is one of the best qualities of these cars. I mostly drive one because of brand recognition. Mine is an older model that is holding up well on the road. Sometimes I wish they got better mileage though. But I am very happy with this brands passenger capacity. I went to swim practice and picked up 8 kids. I never upgraded anything on my car. I think the factory installed parts are satisfactory. However, I would like to take a reciprocating saw and cut a new moonroof in the car of mine but it seems like too much work. I wish moonroofs were standard.

Took back said something with injectors. Was not sure. I think they replaced one. Car hesitates, the RPMs rev up to 4K when Im going downhill or even going around 45 MPH. While sitting still, rpm goes from 1 to 0 constantly and the air stops cooling at same time. I have taken back so many times I have lost count. I ask before 50K warranty went out to put on diagnostic. They said nothing was wrong with it, no reason to. Still doing same thing. I have been called a liar and made fun of. When I pull up, I am treated like I am there for nothing. My car is a LEMON and I am not going to stop till something is done about it. This is the first new car I have ever bought. I thought it would be the last due to the reputation and supposed quality of a Cadillac. If I ever get out of this car, I will NEVER buy another Cadillac. I have contacted a lawyer and I do want something done. I was told that if the car computer doesnt say it happened, it didnt happen (Wow, a manmade computer). The 2015 Cadillac is nothing but a hot mess!! Ive dealt with headlights so dim I could not see to drive at night. After four tries, Cadillac Service finally figured out a fix. There were transmission issues: the car would hesitate when giving it the gas from a stopped or slowed position to the point it jerked you back in your seat. The battery completely died at 30,000 miles. The lift gate motor died at 32,000 miles because water from the sunroof drainage tubes literally soaked the motor, ($1800 fix). So, take my advice and just run as far away from this car as you can.

But I really would like a more sporty look to should off on the road.I also like the various upgrades of the vehicle and the satellite radio and Beats studio built in speakers. General Motors has extremely horrible cars. Now that I am reading their reviews, I am appalled and disgusted. I have a 2006 Cadillac CTS, my car has just reached 70,000 miles and now the timing chain needs to be replaced. I admit my car has been in an accident but I spoken to many professional mechanics, even ASE certified mechanics. And they stated even with the kind of accident the car had, it would not affect the timing chain. If the timing chain is worn, it is because the manufacturer. They stated to try to see if the manufacturer will try to give you a goodwill warranty because they are noticing a big trend of Cadillac CTS coming in with timing chain issues with low mileage. I called General Motors to see if they could do anything to help, and they said they will call the Cadillac dealership in my area. After basically harassing the dealership, calling them a million times, I finally went up there. The service advisor stated that GM will not do anything because my car has a salvaged title because it has been in a car accident. Thats a dumb ** reason and a pretty bad cover up if you ask me. So they told me to repair my car would be close to $3,000... Why on earth should I or would I pay that. General Motors is getting over on their customers and stealing their money and personally, I am not going to take this from them. I will be contacting a lawyer for them to conduct an investigation with General Motors because I know there are others with this same issue. They want to get people out of thousands of dollars. If I have to continually fight with General Motors for them to get a recall, I will spend several hours a day calling, emailing, and contacting whoever it is I need to contact. If they are going to continue to put out garbage cars, then they should go bankrupt. I believe if enough people come forward with their garbage GM made cars we can file a CIVIL case, and I wont stop until something is done. Either GM make a recall for timing chains in all Cadillac CTSs ... or they can face a lawsuit and end up in bankruptcy. Either way I will not stop until something is done. I would not recommend anyone buy a Cadillac or for that matter any GM car... let them go bankrupt and out of business. Save people their money. I will be consulting a lawyer no matter what the cost. General Motors is a get rich scheme and they will be stopped. Everyone involved and that has invested in General Motors will take a loss since their customers have to.

It has been issue after issue with this car. The day I bought it the service engine light came on. Took it to the dealer and they just reset the computer. Long story short, it took over 30 days of it being in the shop to then finally get the rear differential replaced. I did online research and found some 1000 rear differential were faulty. The guy at the service department really didnt care. GM never recalled or made it public even after they knew. Then the horrible Pirelli tires started losing air pressure. Had 2 of them replaced, fast forward 1 1/2 years, I just replaced 3 of them replaced. The cherry on top is now the AC doesnt function properly.I have taken the car in several times and after several attempts they only replaced the compressor. The issue is still there and they are telling me theres nothing they can do. I am in Florida and cant afford a car without AC which cost well over 50k. Bottom line it has been issue after issue. I have gotten to the point where I want to trade it in and get a different brand. To GM: you really dropped the ball on the quality of parts you assemble Cadillac with.

I have a 2008 XLR with 2 years warranty outstanding. The nav system has been replaced 3 times in 22K miles. Now it does not work because it needs a new east coast disc. I believe that Cadillac knew in 2008 that there would be no replacements since they stopped offering 2 yearly disc updates in the sale price of the vehicle. I was offered 300 minutes of On Star or 2 years of free oil changes, but would still leave me without a nav system. Can anyone swap an east coast disc for an unused west coast disc? So far I have had nothing but problems with my 2009 CTS. Ive gotten to the point where I absolutely regret even seeing it for sale on the lot, I wish I had bought ANYTHING else. I bought the car last year with around 80k miles on it. The first thing that should have been a sign that their customer service was in the toilet was when my local Cadillac dealer did a $100 oil change for me. They failed to attach the rock shield to the bottom of the car and after it tore off sounding like all hell breaking loose in their lot, they blamed me for my car missing a screw.. underneath... like I daily check those screws. And if it was missing why the heck did it stay on the car until they worked on it? My car is still naked under there. Thanks Cadillac. After a month of having the car I get the check engine light. I connect to OnStar who tells me my Auxiliary Water pump is going out. $250 later thats all better. After two months my rear door locks stopped working, I called the dealer and gave up when I was quoted $400 in labor alone. Fast forward another two months and now my car consistently overheats. Additionally I got that bad water pump code AGAIN (gosh those things are made well) - $250 AGAIN and its all better. My Daytime running lights go on and off randomly, one at a time. I look so great in my car. No one even has a clue as to why this is happening. Now my Forward adaptive lighting has started to malfunction. The passenger side bulb has turned completely purple, which sounds cool but none of the other ones are. I didnt mind replacing it myself so I started looking into it. So I have to remove the entire front of the car to change the headlight. OK no problem, Im no Einstein but I can handle some screws right? That wouldnt be a problem if I could find the bulb.I contacted Customer Service and they were anything but friendly. I tried to get help finding out where to get the bulb, but the guy copied and pasted me a bunch of website addresses that I had already searched to no avail trying to find the headlight assembly. Then asked me what I was hoping to get from contacting them, what an **. I just WANT A PART NUMBER. WHY IS THAT SO HARD?At this point Ive decided I HATE my car and Cadillac in general. I thought they had really shifted gears, and I really enjoyed my older V which is why I bought this car, but boy howdy this is the biggest piece of junk Ive ever owned. So now I have a 2009 Cadillac that I cant lock the doors on or drive at night, and Im scared to take it out of town because Im afraid the mystery auxiliary water pump will strand me. Im borrowing a friends 2000 Toyota to make my trip. Is this really the new Cadillac? I feel duped, tricked and stuck with this thing. If anyone from Cadillac happens to see this, Id love to know where to get that bulb. Im visually impaired in one eye so having two headlights would be great. Let me know.

All it needed was to have the laser aligned and it was replaced with some other unit from Cadillac (remember R & R no actual fixing here) so someone else has my used $2500 player that probably took about 2 minutes to realign the laser... What was I expecting for $2500?Very quickly found that the car uses a quart of oil about every 1000... Do you want to hear what the Cadillac tech told me when I asked him what should I do? He said, I recommend keeping a case of oil in the back - nice. The cars original sticker was $55K. The steering rack at 40K started to leak... R & R 1000 bucks later... brought home. Next morning, the AC Delco unit they put in leaked worse. They replaced it... Does that mean it was free?At 60K, the right front wheel bearings at $450. I cant tell you how many times Ive had to replace the right front directional at $125. Now I use my fist with a good glove and bash the directional and at least for a while it comes back on (Cadillac glove) - saves a few $100 every year. About 80K, the left front wheel bearing replaced... another $450 repair. Did you know some places on the road get almost $10 for a quart of synthetic Mobil One? Is that synthetic or pathetic? I lost track of how many quarts Ive added in 4 years...I actually had a pretty good stretch for awhile until last week... just turned 100k... Seems the timing chain loosened up, slipped a couple of teeth, valve spring broke, bent a valve and put a hole in the valve cover. $55K and the motor cant go 100K without detonating... As I write, the motor is apart waiting for GM parts (Please...cant we use some aftermarket parts instead?) This bill ought to be a whopper! Ive spent more money on this car for maintenance than the last 10 cars I have owned. Buy American? Buy GM? NEVER AGAIN.

Its a BMW with nice big wheels, a good engine, runs 15 miles, has nice beautiful windows. Gas is good. It runs really fast with a high speed limit. It is the color red with some white in it. Red cars are the best. Has a nice big stereo. However, it will need a lot of work like nicer, better, big wheels, more windows, and a different color would be nice and a better stereo, long distance and more miles. The miles could be better with more room for a bigger family. But the capacity of this car is good. It was really good experience.

Earnhardt Cadillac, Scottsdale LIES AND COVERS UP, WHAT A CUSTOMER SERVICE
Earnhardt Cadillac, Scottsdale LIES AND COVERS UP, WHAT A CUSTOMER SERVICE NIGHTMARE! In January of 2011, I purchased a 2008 Cadillac STS in excellent condition, with less than 20,000 miles 20,000 ARIZONA MILES! That means no snow exposure and little, if any at all, rain exposure. With such low mileage and the excellent condition of the car, I was looking forward to several years of enjoying it.Cadillac vehicles have been a constant in my family for as long as I can remember. My grandfather bought a new one every 12-18 months and my father has ALWAYS had a Cadillac - a new one every 2 years. I was excited to continue this family tradition. I took extra special care of the cars I do all my cars. I purchased the extended warranty and serviced the car, oil changes and ALL other service, ONLY at Legends Cadillac, which became Earnhardt. In the early part of 2014, my car began making an unusual noise only upon the first cold start in the morning. Of course, I took the car to Earnhardt for a diagnosis. I was told that the service department was unable to replicate the noise and thus could not provide a diagnosis, but that the car seemed to check out and be running just fine. There were no concerns. The power train warranty expired at the end of June, while the car was still well below 70,000 miles. In August of this year, while driving with my 2 young children, I received a message stating OIL LOW, TURN OFF CAR. I was able to drive to the dealership for service. This appointment revealed only, according to JD our service manager, that an oil pressure sensor wire had come loose causing the alert message. I asked if this could be related to the noise that they had been unable to diagnose, which had significantly worsened over time. JD told me no, stated that the car was running fine and sent me on my way.A couple of weeks ago, with the noise now EXTREMELY loud and a noticeable hesitation on acceleration, my wife contacted JD and told him that there was definitely a problem and demanded to drop the car off at service. Two days later, I received a call from JD stating that there was a major problem, oil pressure related, that had caused extensive damage to the engine and would cost $4,800.00 to repair! Oil pump issue. I ended the conversation knowing that I did not have $4,800.00 laying around and available, to fix the car. I also stated that a Cadillac that has been babied, with less than 70,000 miles, should absolutely not have repair issue of this magnitude.I then received a call from JD, much later the same day, stating that he had taken it upon himself and spent several hours on the phone with Cadillac, going to bat for me, to have the repair costs reduced. He then revealed a reduced repair cost of $1,800.00, and acted as though I should be forever grateful for this good deed on behalf of himself and Cadillac?? This good deed, if anything, indicates to me a sense of guilt or responsibility. I responded stating that this was still an enormous amount of money and a problem that should not exist at less than 70,000 miles. Additionally, I reminded him that I had brought the car in to service, prior to the expiration of the Power Train warranty, for this issue AND that the car had been in service for an OIL PRESSURE ISSUE in August. Again, he mentioned the good deed offer that Cadillac was willing to extend. My wife went to the dealership to pick up the car. She requested full service records and was told by JD, that he was unable to print them, and that he could only see them on his computer screen. He blamed this issue on the Legends/Earnhardt transition. My wife insisted on obtaining the service records, even if it meant that she would need to take pictures of his computer screen showing the records. JD replied saying that he would try. He then returned 10 minutes later with printed service records. My wife noticed that the most recent records were missing and asked JD about them. He acted surprised and said that he would check again. He returned with the service record from August 2014. My wife proceeded to ask about the record for when the car was brought to service for the unidentifiable noise, PRIOR TO THE POWER TRAIN WARRANTY EXPIRATION. She was told, by JD, that because there was no service completed, there was no official record of the visit?!?!?In summation, neither Earnhardt nor GM/Cadillac, has made any attempt to follow up with me regarding the situation, even though I have pursued an answer on a management level. They have clearly demonstrated that the loyalty in this relationship was one sided, on my part, and that they clearly do not value my business. Do yourself a favor, STEER CLEAR OF EARNHARDT CADILLAC IN SCOTTSDALE, AND CADILLAC IN GENERAL!

There once was a time when Hyundais and Kias were the cars that would have folks stranded and broke from repair costs. Now do the research and see where Cadillacs/GMCs stand among consumers relative to them! Although I have exceeded 100,000 miles, I had no idea that a Cadillac product could ever be so very substandard in quality, craftsmanship, and durability. I paid a lot of money, and I only average about 15,000 miles per year. There are 8 major issues: 1. Failing paint on my hood. Its bubbling, and I did some research to discover that this problem is widespread, and is a well-known defect in the paint on the SRX. Every month, this bubbling gets a little wider and more unsightly.2. Drivers side headlight suddenly went out. I didnt realize it until I was stopped by the police near my neighborhood and given a ticket and repair order, which needed to be fulfilled in 30 days or my vehicles registration would be suspended. Unfortunately, unbelievably, and outrageously, I discovered from a Cadillac technician that I could not simply replace the burned-out bulb; that the real issue-- also a widespread issue among SRX models-- is that the seal around the entire headlight assembly had failed, thereby allowing moisture and condensation to seep through to cause the damage, and that it would cost $1,400 to fix.3. Catalytic converter has triggered the engine light, and when I had it checked, the Cadillac technician told me it was failing and could go out any moment, and that it would cost $1,800. Now I have been driving for 25 years and have owned 5 cars, and I have NEVER had a catalytic converter fail, and not in my wildest dreams had I ever thought it would happen under 120,000 miles.4. Passengers side headlight is now going in and out, perhaps for the same reasons of faulty SRX design that I experienced with the drivers side headlight barely a year ago. I see the same condensation and moisture building within the headlamp assembly as before. Once again, I will be expected to replace the entire assembly due to a manufacturers failure with the seal around the assembly, $1,400 again.5. When it rains, there is water from the storm finding its way into my cabin. A lot of water leaks onto the drivers side from under the dashboard and onto my shoes. This is also happening to the passengers side, and I have to place large bath towels on the left and right sides of my floors to catch the water-- when I expect rain. When I dont realize it will rain, water leaks in and drenches my floors, contributing to a mold and mildew issue.6. One day I tried to turn on my SRX radio, only to discover the sound system was mute. I did all I could to adjust the volume in my configuration settings, because I could not do OnStar, cannot place nor receive Bluetooth phone calls, cannot listen to AM/FM/XM or CDs, cannot hear my signals, cannot hear my door tones, cannot hear my navigation turn guides, and I cannot hear my rear camera indication warning tones. This is very frustrating and unnerving, because I have discovered that the SRX amplifier has failed, which prevents possibly life-sustaining and critical safety features!7. As I drive along with no sound, one headlight working, water leaking in on my designer shoes, mold and mildew building in my car, defective paint on my hood, and an engine that could stop working at anytime due to a shoddy catalytic converter-- the most frustrating recent development is that my engine is loud as heck. I am driving a Cadillac SRX4 but I sound like I am driving a lawnmower. It is an embarrassment as people, colleges, clients, and neighbors stare-- even deer-- while I am at stoplights, parking lots, and in my own driveway. The Cadillac dealer said this is most likely an exhaust system concern now!8. My trunk door sinks down after I open it but I dont close it. I have been caught in the trunk with the door pressing upon my back. Please do not be deceived by the sexy design of the Cadillacs. A failing commitment to quality and reliability will leave you frustrated. I understand cars need maintenance but these issues are beyond routine repair.

In the past other cars I have had have struggled to fit my friends inside, but the Cadillac is awesome. It also makes me feel good to look at it and looks definitely play a role in my purchasing. They have lots of upgrades available, lots of personalization options. I was very pleased with the cup holder and stereo. Overall I was very impressed.

I purchased a 2006 Cadillac CTS November 2010. Prior to this, the vehicle was under my mothers ownership and care. She purchased the vehicle directly from the Cadillac dealership. While using the CTS I assured it received the required maintenance such as oil changes, etc. February 2015 I noticed one night the vehicle began driving a little sluggish. I decided once I got home I would call in the morning to schedule an appointment. The next day I started the car and it would not turn over. It was below zero degrees that day so I accounted the issue to the weather. A few days later when the temperatures improved, I started the vehicle again with negative results.I had the vehicle towed to the local Cadillac dealership. They conducted a diagnostic exam of the engine (taking it apart) which costs $500 just for the techs to examine it. They called advising me the timing chain jumped 5 teeth on primary gear at crankshaft and there was low pressure in cylinder #6. In other words, they told me I would require a new engine at $9000! That is the new engine price and labor costs. I said no thank you, so they put the parts back in and I had the car towed to my residence. After further investigation, I realized this issue is more common than I thought. Several Cadillacs that are a CTS and other models have experienced similar issues. When I spoke with auto technicians about the issue for a second and third opinion, they gave similar responses. One auto tech that teaches automotive at the local high school and a technical school stated there are a lot of problems with Cadillac engines, especially North Star engines. He didnt even want to get a used engine for me afraid that it would also have engine trouble eventually and waste my money. He said my year and model are commonly known to have this issue. If this is indeed a common issue, why is there not a recall or lemon law case introduced? The dealer and Cadillac Corp is refusing to fix it because they state the power train warranty is up. Of course its up around the timeframe the engines begin to fail. A guy once told me when he saw me with the car be careful because after 100,000 miles they go downhill. They dont make them and build them to last like the old schools. I chalked it up to him being bitter. His Cadillac DTS transmission had to be replaced. He sold the vehicle quickly after and now I see why. I should have listened to him and sold it then.

The XT4 is a great car. I bought my 2019 just recently and took a shake down trip to Dallas from Houston to see if there were any kinks in the car. It performed splendidly on the trip. I drove it 80 to 85 mph and it felt smooth and powerful. The only thing that happened and the reason for the low review score was that the car tried to kill me. I got some open road and floored the accelerator and to my surprise the pedal stuck to the floor. The turbo had kicked in and I was flying down the road. I shifted into neutral but the engine was revved all the way. Luckily I was able to take the side of my foot and manipulated the pedal back up to where its starting position. I said it must be a fluke so I did it again and I had the same outcome and same fix. I road on back into Houston with no other issues but I also wasnt going to floor the car again till I could look at the problem in day light. The next morning I found that the mud mats that came with the car was not installed in the two plastic holders and I initially thought the car was I had taken the car to had not popped them in properly but I discovered that Cadillac had left the carpeted floor mat in place under the mud mat. I didnt even know there was a mat under there. There is no way to get 2 mats to pop onto the two plastic holders so it was really Cadillac (the dealers) fault. This is a warning to anyone who has those hard mud mats to make sure they cant slide forward and interfere with the accelerator it could be disastrous.

Cadillac has a large variety of cars that come in very upper class styles. It is very good for the older class of people and the very wealthy upper class. It is very regal in styling and uses very good edges. This is a very good brand that has a lot of high marks that makes it such an amazing brand. It can hold many people which makes it seem more roomy. The space in the back for tall people makes the car feel more accepting for the vertically gifted. It usually has all the best gadgets like a backup camera and heated steering wheel and seats that make the car feel better for the general population.

On October 26th, 2012, our 2009 Cadillac SRX was hit by a kicked-up rock on a local tollway. The cargo area window on the drivers side was completely shattered. This window also houses the antennae for the navigation system. The SRX model was redesigned beginning with the 2010 models so this window is no longer used. GM has had this window on backorder for months, if not years. It does not have a manufacturer for this window, and obviously has no plans to obtain a manufacturer. There is no ship date! I will never purchase another Cadillac or GM product and I will make it my mission to spread the word about the totally unsatisfactory experience Ive had with this brand.

I bought a new 2016 Cadillac CTS a bit over a year ago. The car is a damn good looking machine. However, it’s also been falling to pieces like a cheap piece of junk. The leather interior has already started delaminating from the doors, the heater won’t work, the cue system has gone haywire and a multitude of other serious problems for a new car to be having. I’m disappointed that Cadillac’s quality turned out to be so shoddy. However, dealing with Cadillac as a company has been absolutely infuriating. I have been trying to get them to do the warranty repairs for over six months and they have been absolutely impossible to deal with. They do not stand behind their product. I’ve wanted a Cadillac for a long time and I was really happy the day I bought it but now that I’ve owned one and had to deal with their poor quality control and abysmal customer service I would absolutely warn anyone considering buying a Cadillac not to. Cadillac is a sexy car with some prestige associated with its brand but in reality it’s a poorly made car with one of the worst companies I’ve ever had to deal with.

There is many different choices you can pick from when it comes to upgrades and whatnot, but mine was bought used, so it came with whatever. Later, I replaced the AC Fan motor with an OEM unit and a new battery again OEM just recently as the vehicle had remained in a car storage unit for a year here in Ft. Lauderdale. The car does have a vibration between 64 and 72 MPH and seems to perform best at 80 MPH including best MPG. I love my Cadillac and maintain it to like new showroom condition. I need to replace the turn signal flasher at the moment, but just consumable items. I also noticed the relay for the starter is somewhat discolored due to heat and will replace it before anything happens.

I bought a car from our agency in Dubai Liberty. They sell GM Motors cars. I bought a Cadillac CTS 2011 V6. In the beginning, the car is great and without any problem. It’s the best car I ever drove in my life and I gave it as a gift for my wife. She was more than happy to have a CTS. She drove it till the first service. We took it to the service in Dubai (Garhood branch). After the service by 3 weeks, we were coming from Abu Dhabi to Dubai and driving at normal speed of 130 km/h, then suddenly the we heard a bomb sound and a smoke coming from the engine. Thank God we stopped and no one crashed us from back. The street was full of oil from the damaged engine. We called the street help and then we took the car to the service at Garhood branch in Dubai. And after a day they called us and said, “Sorry, the engine is damaged. We will send an approval to GM mother company to change the engine. But we don’t want to repair it because it wasn’t our mistake.” The car must be changed and they ignored me. Kindly support me in this.

Hello. Just wanted to seek help from this frustrating issue Ive been having with my Cadillac 2013 SRX. I purchased my vehicle in 2016 from CARMAX a certified car dealer. I drove it for about a couple weeks to have the display QUEUE system to go completely black where the radio, navigation, heat and everything couldnt be accessed and my Liftgate trunk could not open!! Carmax was very helpful to reach out to Thornton Chevrolet in getting it taken care of which I had to wait awhile due to the Radio was on back order!! My frustration is that I was told that the Cadillacs sunroofs drainage tubes are draining in the area where the Liftgate module is housed causing the motherboard to burn up or fry once the water hit it!! I feel this should be a recall and have reached out to GM with no solution being its fried again and wont open with a musty damp smell!! I am allergic to mold and have respiratory issues and I pray this situation doesnt cause a flare!! All they quoted me is a price to reseal and change the Liftgate Module out again with no guarantee that it wont happen again and Im approaching the end of my warranty!!! I feel so sad and lost because I love my SRX. Just wish they could call a recall on these issues because theres so many negative reviews about these issues!! Last it wouldve been no different had I bought this vehicle from Cadillac vs Carmax so dont say this again please, yall made the dern vehicle!!!

My family has had Cadillacs for generations and never had any problems. I thought it may just be my luck but when I went online I found out that I wasnt alone. Cadillac is losing a lot of customers and Im one. Today we took it to the shop to have a flickering headlight checked and we were told it would cost over $500 to have it fixed! I purchased a 2006 Cadillac CTS in May 2010. Since the purchase, I have had several car repairs resulting in thousands of dollars. I make sure that I receive regular oil changes and follow recommendations for Mobil 1 oil only. I have to purchase approximately 6 to 8 quarts of the oil to add to my engine between oil changes. I had my mechanic assess the vehicle and there are no leaks. The car simply drinks oil. This is quite an expense since an oil change is approximately $100 and a quart of Mobil 1 oil is $10 a quart. This is simply unacceptable. I have read many complaints where people have lost their engines over oil consumption. Its simply not fair to the consumer to have to bear this expense for a product that is supposed to be trusted. In addition to this, I am putting brakes on my vehicle (front and back) twice a year. This is unheard of. There needs to be some accountability and responsibility for the makers of this vehicle.

I have a 2004 Cadillac Deville DTS. I bought it with 8,000 miles. Now, its 150,000 miles and mostly highway miles. Further, its always garaged and in immaculate condition and religiously maintained at dealership. But three window regulators required replacing, including both rear doors. Now, the drivers side rear door needs a regulator and/or a control module. That door has to be manually locked or unlocked now. I have no kids, and I live alone. No one uses that door but me to carry groceries. Estimate again is $500 or so. I planned to replace this car at 200,000 miles. I have not decided that Im willing to spend another $500 on the windows and door locks. Mechanical problems at this mileage would be acceptable to a degree. However, the same failures of electrical components that secure the vehicle and passenger safety are unacceptable for a vehicle of this promoted quality. My replacement car will not be a GM vehicle.

I bought a 2009 CTS top of the line model in March of this year 500 miles after I left the dealership the check engine light came on. I put it in Levis Cadillac in Slidell, LA, for two weeks they had it and said that it was a problem with the coolant area of the car and that they had fixed it. Well in two weeks the light came on again, GUESS WHAT, the same problem. OK back to the shop I go, this time it was the end of April and they had the car for (three) weeks. I picked the car up in or on May 20th drove out the service dept. I went 25 miles, THE LIGHT CAME AGAIN !!! So I finished my business in New Orleans, LA and took it back to the Levis Cadillac. They said they would call Cadillac Technical for help. They told them to replace the same parts as before and it should be fixed. It has taken them and Cadillac until yesterday which was JUNE 25TH to so called fix the car. I picked it up at 10:30 - got on the Highway to go to the VA Hospital in New Orleans. NOW THIS IS THE PART I JUST CANT BELIEVE, THE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN on my way to my doctors appointment. When I got done at the V A I drove straight back to the dealership service department and they said they would be happy to look at but its the same problem, OH MY GOD. Could someone help me out. I bought this Cadillac CTS and have only put 750 miles on it since. The car only has 46,058 miles on it! I feel like a total jerk. Ive owned 5 Cadillacs and I also own a 06 STS4, and I have had all kinds of problems with it. Well I think its time for me to reevaluate my GM LOYALTY. This sucks.......

My 2015 CTS had the Que radio go out 6 months ago. It went out again 2 weeks ago. Today they (it was on back order) replaced the radio. To my dismay as I leave the dealership and start driving I notice the display went out again. I called the service advisor and he’s trying to tell me that something is interfering w/ the power of the car. He says it had to be my radar detector. What a bunch of crap. He also said bring it in but if the radio is out again they will not replace it. What kinda crap is that.

I purchased a 2010 Cadillac SRX in December of 2009. Four years later, the cars hood had bubbling of paint where the aluminum meets the paint on the hood. I watched it increase for 2 years and to prevent any rust from forming took it to Perfect Ten Auto Collision to have it repaired. Then I heard about this happening because Cadillac had used a lower grade aluminum around the hood that butts up to the hood paint. It cost me $789.61 to have this fixed. I would just like to know if Cadillac is responsible in any way for the damage?

The GPS quit working. I thought it was a scratched disk or something simple because the radio and CD player works fine. I went to the Lexington dealer and they told me I would have to replace the whole unit at a price of $4700 plus installation. I bought the Platinum Escalade in 2009 for over $70000 with just 60000 miles. Im upset.

I have had my 2014 Cadillac SRX for 15 months. It has been in the shop for major repairs 3 times in that time and the car only has 24,000 miles. I have been communicating with the Cadillac Corp 800 # and have been treated in a way that shows I am not valued as a customer, even after owning 5 Cadillacs over the years! I was not even allowed to speak with a supervisor and was told a supervisor would call me when it was convenient for them! I became so frustrated, I finally called an attorney. Do not think that buying a luxury car will provide you with luxury customer service.

I have a 2009 Cadillac SRX AWD Sport (top of the line!). The sticker was for $52,170. It is the most expensive piece of crap I have ever purchased. But I am stuck with it because the CARFAX and Repair history, basically, makes it non-tradable or sellable. This car has been in the shop about every 2 1/2 weeks over the 2 years I have owned it. 46 issues have been fixed or replaced. I called Cadillac Customer Service for help. I was assigned a District Rep, who does not call me back, and never answers his phone when I call. He has been dodging me for over a month now. I want my B2B warranty extended to cover the stuff that keeps falling off, because I only have 3k miles left on the factory B2B, and the extended GM warranty does not cover things like trim, vents, handles, doors, etc.The district rep said When you make as many cars as Cadillac, some of them are not going to be perfect and then proceeded to get me to hang up the phone. I have not gotten to speak with him since. I guess, once Cadillac has written you off, you are dust to them. The dealership has been wonderful but GM/Cadillac, not so much. Some of the things had to be argued to get it fixed.

Cadillacs are a huge investment. They require patience to deal with all the systems in the car and the maintenance not only of these items but also the wear items. All the modern conveniences are great but present a lot of learning plus trail and error. The comfort, power and prestige are all great but come at a cost.

We purchased a new 2016 Cadillac XTS4 in September 2015 from Cadillac Deale
We purchased a new 2016 Cadillac XTS4 in September 2015 from Cadillac Dealer Taylor Automotive in Toledo, OH. My wife is the primary driver and she drives only 4,000 to 5,000 miles per year. A few months after the purchase the battery was dead after not being driven for only 7 days. The salesman then advised us that the amount of electronic devices in the vehicle will drain the battery in a week or less. Even though he was aware of my wifes minimal driving, no mention of the inadequate battery support system in the vehicle was made until our first dead battery experience. It has occurred 5 times since it was purchased. This means that we must carry a jump start battery pack inside the car (not the trunk) and a tool to remove the key lock cover from the drivers door just to get access to the interior to pop the hood in order to do the jump start. When leaving the vehicle at an airport for a one week or longer trip, you can be assured that the car will require a jump start. How could General Motors have done such a poor, incomplete, inadequate engineering job on what they classify as a luxury vehicle for which we paid over $50,000.00? We are looking into the Lemon Laws in OH and we will pursue Legal Action if General Motors fails to correct this problem which is certainly causing many Cadillac owners the same problem. There are many other true Luxury vehicles on the market that do not have this problem because the engineering departments of those car companies figured a way to cut current drain while the vehicle is not being driven or they provided a battery electrical system that is designed to support normal vehicle operation without starting the vehicle every few days just to keep the battery charged. This problem should not exist in any automobile, much less one that represents General Motors top line brand and in this case the largest and most expensive sedan vehicle. I would caution anyone considering the purchase of any new Cadillac vehicle to question the dealer extensively and make sure the car you purchase or lease doesnt have this inherit problem. Even if you are a long term Cadillac driver you should look seriously at other Luxury Vehicle options.
