Mazda 2015 - Im wondering if anyone else is having the same issue with Mazda windshield breaking easily when hit by a rock. We only had our car for 9 months and we had our windshield replaced twice already! The first one happened twice in one week after 3 months purchasing the car. Now, it happened again after six months. The first replacement was an original Mazda windshield, now we are trying a different brand to see if it happens again. I had a Toyota Celica year 2001 for 12 years but never encounter this type of problem, so I dont think its my driving. I hope they do something about this, because according to the company that did my car the first time, they have also had plenty of repairs done for the same car. Hope this review helps!

Front Axle on 2005 Mazda 6 - I just drove from Clemmons to Wendover Avenue in Greensboro and suddenly the front of the car sounds like I drove over a boulder and the engine fell out. I managed to coast to Sheets Gas Station. The car would turn on but would not go forward in drive or reverse. Called a tow truck and took it to the Mazda Dealership. The front axle is broken... I could not imagine how though... have not run into anything or rear ended anyone. I just had the axle worked on in Hickory. Not happy but blessed it was not the transmission.

While the 2014 cx-5 has some nice features such as blind spot monitor, (which is kind of necessary since rear visibility is not that great) it has some quirks that I dont like. If you live in the hills, the fancy moving headlights are horrible, visibility on low beams drops off so that if you are traveling up or down hill you have to put on your brights to see. We have the touring model which has a push button start but no button on the door so you have to pull out the fob to enter the car. A minor inconvenience but the most annoying thing I discovered the hard way is that if the fob drops out of your purse into the seat, and you lock the door, you will get locked out of your car. We had Push button start Nissans for 8 years and if you tried to lock the door with the fob inside it would alert you with a beep and open the doors. In the Mazda, you just get locked out. The final issue is the climate control knob. Shortly after purchase, the climate control knob would not stay on defrost and the air wasnt coming out of the vents it was supposed to. We contacted the dealership and they checked it and fixed it, but a month later it did the same thing. We contacted them again and they said that Mazda was aware of the problem and they had to special order a part by vin # to correct it. We had it fixed a second time and its been 3 weeks and the climate control wont click into defrost again! The dealership has been good about wanting to fix it, but so far they havent been able to figure it out. The dealership said our cx-5 was not the only one with this issue. Perhaps they have fixed some of these quirks with the 2015 /2016 models? I wont buy one again. Im going back to Nissan.

Their company does not take responsibility for their own defects. They manufacturer things incorrectly then expect you to pay for it. The dashboard on my Mazda 3 was separated from the digital screen. According to their customer service my 2010 vehicle was only covered for 7 years for this and a recall was sent out for this but if you did not have the issue at the time they wouldnt fix it for you. Now 9 years later, my dashboard has disconnected due to their ERROR but they refuse to cover it. I will never buy another Mazda again.

I purchased a 2014 Mazda 6, loaded with their technology package. The GPS was the worst ever experienced. The speaker in the front passenger door vibrated so badly it was hard to use the system, even with the bass turned off. The GPS would indicate a turn 400 yards away when basically at the turn point. It would then suddenly advise to turn, when almost through the intersection. The front drivers seat had limited settings. I went to Mazda for service and all I got was a shoulder shrug. I sent a note to Mazda and didnt even get a response. After 8 months of problems I dumped this car and took a loss of approximately $8,000. I have now owned about 12 cars and the Mazda 6 was the worst experience ever.

Bought a 2012 CX-9. First 2 years car ran great then 500 miles past warranty driver window motor goes out. Then a week later passenger window motor goes bad. Battery goes out. Car was only 2 years old. Now under recall which part needs to be replaced and both wheel bearings are going out after only 50K miles. What a POS. These parts should not be going bad this soon. Will never buy another Mazda again. Just lost my business because was going to buy another one next year.

I drive a 2009 Mazda CX9. On Friday Sept 18th I had picked my kids and friends up from school. Normally I wouldnt stop and grab a coffee but I did. When we came out and were getting back in the car I heard a bang, I looked and my front left tire was just about falling off. Thank God we stopped because I would have been driving with 4 kids in the car. I had to have the car towed, and have my brothers friend that is a mechanic look at it. One week later on Friday, Sept 25th I got a safety recall letter in the mail saying lower control arm ball joint can corrode, well that is what happened to mine. I Had it towed to a Mazda dealership. The Service Manager called to tell me I need new front tires. I said that should be part of the recall because everything I have read about symptoms of ball joints going bad is front tires balding. Well I have called Mazda three times and spoke to different people and nobody will help me. My back tires are just fine. I bought Mazda because I thought it was a safe family vehicle, I will be selling and getting something different.

I bought my Mazda CX9 used (2008) Grand Touring. Loaded. 61,420 miles on it. I bought it from a dealership that is owned by the Major Mazda dealership in our area. 3 months into ownership, my husband noticed a dark sludge like oil dripping on our garage floor. There was also a lot of rattling when you stepped on the gas and high whining. Took it right to the dealer, they sent us to Mazda. Said it was the transfer case and they would put a new one in, but it cost 1100. It took 4 weeks, maybe 5 to get it done. Got it back, and it was ok for awhile. 3 months later the same thing happened again. This time they said it was under full part warranty and they would replace it yet again at no cost. I was without my car for another 6 weeks. This was all rectified by 2013. Here it is July 2015 and I just had it diagnosed that the transfer case is AGAIN gone bad. This time there is no warranty and it is going to cost me 6000 to fix it.They told me the first time it was being replaced with a new one. Why was that cost only 1100? And now it is 6000? I am probably going to have to get another car because it just isnt worth spending that kind of money to fix a car that has 115K miles on it. I just recently put 1000 worth of four new tires, and new front left wheel bearing (300) not to mention the FOB I had to have replaced for 325.00. I am not a happy camper. I have been reading about the exact same problems others have had. There is no recourse to hold them accountable? My car was very well taken care of too.

I love my car. Living in Michigan, I needed a vehicle that handled well in snow but also with good gas mileage and being able to adjust the drivers seat is very important. After test driving several models, I was extremely impressed with Mazdas handling. I also love how the looks of the car. Its very stylish and its fun to drive. Definitely spend the extra money and get the navigation. I use it all the time. But I wish the rear seats were more comfortable. When test driving cars, I never thought to sit in the back. A word of advice, next time test driving, sit in the back and feel how your passengers are feeling.

Mazda 5 is sharp looking car with lots of great features for an affordable price. Great experience driving for everyday and long road trips. Very roomy with the third row seating option. We have had very positive experiences in owning 3 other Mazdas. Great driveability in town, freeway or long distance. Gets good gas mileage. Has Bluetooth feature for answering and making phone calls hands free. However, it does not have power seats or lighted mirrors on the visors. Sometimes the catalytic converter has an odor of sulfur that service technicians do not seem able to smell or find the cause of when we have it serviced.

Hi - My 2010 CX7 with full Mazda service history and only 57600 miles on the clock, stopped at 60 MPH on a busy dual carriage way with my kids in the car, I could barely steer or brake it was terrifying! Luckily we managed to come to a stop only because it was a quiet time of day on school holidays or god knows what could have happened. I called Mazda to advise them as I thought they would want to know about the issue, total stone wall.I had the car towed to a garage nearby who told me the engine had seized due to it being starved of oil, the car was FULL of oil. They checked and it was a block in the sump. After doing research I realise this is a very common problem with Mazda and I cannot believe they are totally ignoring this issue, not help offered. My car was worth #7.5k now its worth nothing! Where is Mazdas duty of car to customer driving this car, why are they not making sure dealerships are checking this issue to protect people at service, what will it take, someone to be killed! I am just disgusted at their refusal to acknowledge this issue.

I have a 2008 Mazda CX-9 with 139,000 miles on it. I bought the car because Motor Trend gave it import SUV of the year and due to its positive reviews on maintenance. So far weve had pretty good luck with this SUV until now. From the research Ive done and from whats been confirmed by both Mazda USA customer service and a local dealer service the transfer case out of the factory is in fact faulty and did in fact ruin the transmission. Ive done extensive research on this and this is absolutely a known issue that the transfer case is ruining these transmissions. Ive also discovered that the Mazda dealerships in my area are selling upwards of 4 transfer cases per week and often out of stock due to this replacement of the faulty transfer case coming out of the factory. I cannot understand why Mazda hasnt sent out a bulletin to its valued customers regarding this. I can only imagine the lack of transparency on this is due to the large financial impact it may have. I am contacting you to request that you take this issue to whomever can help resolve my case and provide significant financial assistance towards the replacement of my transmission and faulty transfer case. Ive been told that Mazda apparently has a software update that would fix this issue--but I find it impossible to believe as I have never received any notification of this being an issue or any software update to fix this faulty transfer case. I find it hard to believe that a software upgrade is going to fix a mechanical issue and cannot find any evidence of this software update being legitimate.Mazda supposedly makes a quality product and supposedly cares about customer loyalty and service. I would say that not telling your customers about a faulty part (known issue on factory transfer case) that DESTROYS the transmission and causes SIGNIFICANT financial hardship is not fair or reasonable customer service.

2012 CX9 Transmission failure. I bought a new CX9 in 2013, primarily because we wanted a reliable car for my wife. It was a good car up until about the summer of 2019 when the transmission started to shudder in 5/6 gears. With only 118K miles, we took it to the dealer and they confirmed the torque converter was bad. So I was 18k miles past my extended warranty mileage and I was told it would cost me $3600 for a new transmission...and could be more if the front transaxle has issues. This was our first Mazda and we are so disappointed in the quality of these cars and with the response from mazda...which was no response. Ive owned many cars and never had any transmission issues of this magnitude. So going forward, I will only buy Honda or Toyota cars. Mazda should be ashamed of putting out this crap to consumers and sticking them (us) with a bill that we cant afford.

The 05 Mazda 6 Mazda transmission valve body failed at 28000 miles. Mazda knew about the problem back in 2006 and have not informed the owners so the part can be replaced under warranty. Now, they rejected a request for help; and the local dealer, Colonial Mazda, wanted $1400 for the parts and $400 to install it. I was able to get the part from another Mazda dealer at $1000 by mail. Now, Colonial Mazda refuse to install the part. What a joke - a bad design followed by bad service and a company that does not stand behind their products. In addition, they think people are stupid to pay 40% more on a part that Mazda should be responsible to replace.

I bought a brand new 2005 Mazda RX-8. I loved the car, until about 60,000 miles later when the car started stalling, even after I brought it up to operating temperature. It took about 6 trips to two different dealerships to discover that the problem was a bad engine that would need to be replaced. I was still under warranty. However, Mazda did not want to replace the engine. They said I did not properly maintain the car. After proving that I followed maint. schedules and all oil changes at Mazda dealerships, did they replace the engine. Now my new engine is at about 80,000 miles and the same problem! I need another new engine! But because my car is over 100,000 miles, Mazda will do nothing for me. They offered me loyalty offers for owning a Mazda. Public Service Announcement: Dont buy a Mazda AND do not use Passport Mazda in Suitland, MD. My daughters Mazda 6 had a sunroof that literally exploded on Jan 11, 2017 while she was driving. She said it sounded like a gunshot and she almost wrecked. It exploded upward and out of the vehicle although she had A LOT of glass that rained back in on her and the inside of her car. The vehicle was only 8 months old. Mazda replaced the sunroof out of goodwill (as they put it) and informed us that it was probably due to a shard of metal in the track left over from manufacturing... pressure built up on the glass and it exploded. Her vehicle is not the first vehicle to do this - Google it! They are refusing to repair the leather seats that the glass got embedded in and ripped and are refusing to fix the paint where the glass flew out and took a chunk of paint off the roof and the trunk of the vehicle. We have been trying to work through this with them since January. I have been on the phone with Corporate Mazda who in turn have been trying to get Passport Mazda on the phone for 2 weeks to get their side of the story. They have not made a connection with Corporate in over two weeks. Isnt that like ignoring your boss? Besides the fact that Mazda will not stand behind their product and quality. One of my daughters first adult purchases has not turned out to be a disheartening experience. They have not heard the last from us as we stand up for what is right! Do not purchase a Mazda as their customer service is LESS THAN SATISFACTORY and we purchased not ONE but TWO MAZDAS ON THE SAME DAY! Its all about how you respond to what goes wrong, Mazda!

I have called Mazda corp, Mazda Financial as well as the Mazda dealership for some help with no returned phone. My brand new 2014 Mazda6 Grand Touring is a very lovable car. Great gas mileage, comfortable seats, smooth ride & drop dead good looks. My issue is with the Bose Audio speakers. Specifically the rear speakers. While traveling with some friends, our friends mentioned that the rear speakers were not working. So I tried to adjust this through the menu on the infotainment system. Even after moving more of the audio to the rear, the sound was barely audible.I had the dealership look into this the next time I went for an oil change. They agreed that the sound level was very low. They said they checked similar Mazda6 vehicles on the lot and found them to be the same. The response was that the minimal sound from the rear was part of the Bose design, or at least that is the official Mazda reasoning. So I sent a letter to Bose and actually got a response, but still no fix. They said their engineers would look into the concern, but I have not heard back.I upgraded (spent more) to the Grand Touring to get the Bose system at significant expense. I am very disappointed with the performance and the sound emanating from the rear of this vehicle. In my opinion, Mazda has tried to reduce the weight of this car in so many areas, that they sacrificed a proper power amplifier to drive the rear speakers. I have had Bose systems before, and found them to be superior to this unit in my 2014 Mazda6. I wish Mazda would fess up and deal with this issue rather than point to Bose intended design as the scapegoat.

And when I asked Mazda Canada to have the engineer working on the issue call me, nothing... I asked them for compensation. Nothing... Now, I have a car where $2,500 worth of options dont work. I cant sell the car and I cant trade it in. Mazda has left me stuck with a car they cannot fix. Mazda Canada has put it back on the dealer and is even treating them with disrespect and indifference. Feeling left in a lurch! DONT BUY A MAZDA, STAY FAR AWAY....

The clutch on my Mazda 6 (bought new) wore out after approximately 10,000 miles. Replaced by Mazda Main Agents, this also failed after approx. 10,000 miles. Again replaced by Mazda Main Agent, and lasted only around 10,000 miles. Regularly serviced by the same Mazda Main Agents (except just once).I am 81 years old, have held a driving license for well over 60 years. For many years did all my own servicing, maintenance and repairs. You name it and I have almost certainly had it in pieces. The exceptions being gearboxes and differentials. (Never had one of these fail). I claimed reimbursement for these repairs, but was told it was due to my riding the clutch. Rubbish! when I learned to drive back in the 1950s riding the clutch was a sin because, in those days cars were fitted with carbon (graphite) clutch thrust bearings which being soft would wear out very quickly if one rode the clutch, modern cars are fitted with tapered roller bearings or simple ball races. I never wore one out but the ingrained lesson never to ride the clutch has stayed with me ever since.A letter later from them suggested that I was accelerating away from traffic lights etc. too hard, insinuating that perhaps I was a bony racer. In my 20s, 30s and 40s this MIGHT have been the case, but in my 70s and now 80s I am long passed such behavior. I have done everything required of me prior to taking them to the small claims court, including utilizing the facilities of Mediators but they still keep coming up with silly replies. The latest being that I have the clutch examined by an authorized independent company. They also said that this would be impossible because the parts were thrown away on being removed. I am about to write to them yet again informing them that I have, together with other items, both the clutch and the scored flywheel that was replaced in my garage.Advice to everyone considering purchasing a new car, DO NOT BUY A MAZDA without checking the record of service one can expect from your Mazda main Agent. If anything fails, it would seem that they will do anything to avoid recompensing one for anything failing. My claim will be made under the Customer Rights and Protection Act, under the section stating that any purchase should be fit for purpose and last a reasonable length of time. All the time that this correspondence has been going on, (several months) the worry and stress has had very severe adverse effect on my health. They have been informed of this but apparently consider it not worth their while to make any comment on it. Hopefully, if you wish, I will come back to you and let you know the result.

I purchased my vehicle 2 years ago and just recently got to 20,00 miles and had to have the rear disc brake pads replaced because they barely passed inspection. I called the customer service number and they said they would gladly replace them free of charge if I went back to the dealer immediately that day to get it done. I then learned that this is a flaw that some of the CX-5s have including the current models. I leased my vehicle so I will be returning it before the 40,000 miles when it will probably need them again. It is expensive to replace them every 20,000 miles when they should last at LEAST 40,000 miles. If I owned this vehicle who would have to keep replacing them when they wear sooner than they should, ME!!! That is an expense I can not afford.I also have an issue that when you open the back hatch there is not enough light to see what you are doing. I like the way the car handles in the snow, which is why I leased it to begin with, to see how well it did. I like the car and would love to buy another when my lease is up but I dont know if I will because of the expense of replacing the discs every 20,000 miles.

My Mazda Tribute caught fire sitting in my driveway due to a recalled ABS Module failure. Mazda admitted blame after over a week and said they would fix my car at no cost to me. After eight weeks of constant battle with Mazda USA and Hiley Mazda of Huntsville, Alabama, I was told my car was ready to pick up. The repairs of the car are a complete mess. The badly burned brake lines were not replaced and the badly burned wiring harness was spliced back together in pieces. They didnt even match the insulation colors to the existing wires and mismatched the wire size! After two more weeks of arguing with Mazda Customer Service Center in Irvine California, I was told by telephone call that Mazda engineers reviewed the photos I sent them and determined the repairs were Just fine, but they would gladly add some more electrical tape to the harness if I would like. I demanded to talk to someone in higher authority and was denied. I asked to have a report of their findings in writing and was denied. I just took my car to an independent repair facility for inspection and they agreed with my complaints 100%. Their estimate to repair is going to cost me and my insurance company $2600. Mazda is the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with in my life. I will never purchase another Mazda as long as I live.

Got to love the great comment We have to verify if its on warranty 1st. In July 2010, I drove out of the Mazda dealer with my Mazda Tribute. In 2012, the back hatch lock was broken. They fixed it on warranty. Then again, this past May 2014, it broke again. They said it wasnt on warranty anymore, and it would cost $250.00, which I went ahead and got fixed. This did not seem to me like normal life of wear and tear. At the same time, my AC stopped working. They charged me another $100.00 to tell me that it could cost up to $700.00 to fix it. Again, this is not to me acceptable wear and tear. I live in Canada and use the AC 2 months out of 12. They said that the vehicle still runs the AC in winter to get the humidity out. Anyhow, I figure that if they had told me as a selling point, buy this vehicle and you will need to spend money to fix things that should be normally working given the age of the vehicle, but wont. Sign on the line please. In June 2013, I went in for some noise in the front undercarriage. They said that they had to check if the warranty was still on. Now, I drove the vehicle out for the 1st time on July 9th, 2010. They were arguing with me that it was in May, at 1st. Then, they gave me another date in mid-June. I said that I would go home and get my purchasing contract signed and dated. I came back with it, and there it was. July 9th, 2010. Still, they were not convinced. I said that any half bit lawyer would agree with me, since there it was on paper. A day later, I went back, and they said that the financial adviser had filed the wrong contracts. Imagine my surprise, they were finally willing to take my original contract as being the correct one. I am not at all satisfied with the service nor the quality of this vehicle I have at this time. I am still making payments on it, and on top of that, I need to fix things that should be almost outliving the vehicle.

My 2007 Mazda 6 4 cylinder engine failed with only 107,000 KM. This was 7000 KM after my warranty expired. The whole engine needs to be replaced as it was a catastrophic failure. I had fully maintained my car at the Mazda dealer, changed the oil on schedule every time and had only Mazda technicians working on my car. Mazda Canada would only cover 33% of the replacement engine. This will be the last Mazda I ever buy, very displeased with Mazda Canadas lack of concern for their own reputation and customers.

I would like to warn you people out there about this dealership, seems to be a common theme with Mazda. This link verifies that the entire Mazda corporation has a systemic problem with accountability and safety measures. A dealership that sells a vehicle to a senior citizen with dementia is an all time low, unless youre Midway Mazda which seems to be acceptable. You can get this information from the MVSA BC complaints and cases against this particular dealership under the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA). Actually you can see it online as well, because it did go to court.Furthermore, they have had at least 9 abandoned cases all in a row, dating back to 2008 courtesy of the MVSA (Motor Vehicle Sales Authority which is Non-Profit, meaning donations and taxpayer funded) in which the MVSA manager indicates they lost those files, updating the computer system. MVSA is no better than the slum dealership it represents. They talk their way out of any type of action. If youre thinking about filing a complaint against Mazda through MVSA, make sure you read the policies and know your rights. Funny thing is that the MVSA Manager didnt even know what his own policies were, and when I told him, he was in disbelief and denial. If its in writing then its legal, talk is cheap. I waited over 9 months just to get a meeting, because they kept blowing me off, and didnt even bother to tell me why? This dealership falsified the inspection reports and would not take care of any issues brought up that were safety hazards, or even non-safety issues that cost me money out of my pocket. Its simple, downright neglectful and deceitful. The entire process from start to end was absolutely ridiculous from non-service to the product. I have been dealing with this issue for just about 2 years. I have wrote reviews, and sent letters to every organization and governing body under the sun. I have all the proof in the world, and civil court is the only way to go now. I would think twice about this dealership and I will make sure everyone knows about it too. I also would not buy from the Nissan next to this dealership as it is the same owner. Make yourselves accountable, instead of hiding behind poor policy, excuses and lies, because in the end it will hit your wallet! Disappointed taxpayer/owner of a Mazda.

I left it at the dealership for resolution. After 8 weeks of no response, we had the car towed back to the house. We called the Mazda Corporate Office but to no avail. Im disgusted with it all. My Four door Mazda 2 Hatchback is Black. It is a nice good car with basic features nothing too fancy. It gets me from point a to point b. I just pay way too much for it because I got with the wrong dealership. It was a smaller car with gas mileage good. I do not like big cars and maneuvering those so the outside size was perfect for me. Once I had kids I did not like that it was so small and no space for car seats and strollers. You have to scoot the seats all the way up in order to fit everything and that is very inconvenient. Now I am trying to trade the car in.

Recently, I had an issue with my vehicle when it wouldnt start. I had my car towed to my mechanic in Indialantic. He ran the diagnostic test on my car and found out that the ECM computer system had failed, and also fried 6 of my coils. My mechanic had given me a quote of $1,400 for repairs. In the meantime, I was calling around to see if I could find an ECM for a cheaper price. I came across an EPA federal warranty that stated: Any vehicle with less than 80,000 miles and less than 8 yrs. old is entitled to this EPA warranty on any specified major emission control components. The warranty states that all components are covered and the manufacturer will have to repair the components free of charge. I brought the warranty over to my mechanic to look it over. He stated that he would call Mazda and find out if they will honor this federal warranty. My mechanic spoke with a gentleman named Robert **. He approved the use of the warranty and told the mechanic to have us bring the vehicle over to Mazda. The next day, I paid to have the car towed to Mazda. Robert ** stated that he would call me before he started to give me a price on the repairs. When he called later that afternoon, he gave me a quote of $1,700. This was $300 more than my mechanic. He then called back again and stated that he would drop the cost to $1,345. It is costing me the same price with the warranty as it would have at my mechanics garage, without the warranty. I also had to pay to have the car towed to Mazda. I only brought it over to Mazda because the gentlemen stated he would honor the warranty, and he is charging me more. I feel belittled and taken advantage of.

I bought a car here 6 months ago. I had some bad experience but my wife insisted on buying something, so I did. Paperwork included many extra charges. They sold a prepaid maintenance plan - charged us for premium plan but paperwork said basic plan. Took me a while to get the errors corrected. Recently my car had a recall. Called the dealer. Literally, the conversation with dimitry went like this:I: I heard there is a Mazda recall. Dmitry: Yea, dont worry, we will call you. I: this sounds bad. Whats the issue? Dmitry: hey, no one died. So dont worry. I: are you sure? You sound so casual about it. Dmitry: are you looking for a free loaner or some free things? I: what? You sound bad. Is there a manager I can talk to. Dmitry: this is as good as it gets. What else can I do for you.WOW! Called the manager later on. Sal. He was no better either. This dealership has NASTY scammers masquerading as salespeople and service folks. Try calling the service dept to talk to a service specialist. You will NOT be able to reach anyone, no matter how many times you try. I regret buying Mazda and especially from this dealer. I will not go back to this dealer.

I own a 2006 Mazda 6. I purchased the vehicle in September of 08 with 20,000 miles, and all remaining warranty in force. In June of 2011, the check engine light comes on, and the engine begins to make a loud noise. I immediately had the car towed to the dealer, who notified me the next day that I will need a new engine. At this point, the car has 42,000 miles on it. The cost will be $6,600 for a brand new engine; they will only provide warranty for one (1) year, and because my warranty was up a few months prior, they will not stand behind it.While speaking to somebody from the Mazda corporate office, I was given only given a “sorry about your luck” attitude. As a result of the cost, I sent the vehicle to an independent mechanic, who replaced the engine with a used engine that has warranty for three years. I was also informed that there is a well known issue with Mazda engines, but the company refuses to stand behind their product, or remedy the problem.I dont think its unrealistic to expect a vehicle to last longer than 5 years (that only has 42,000 miles, and with only 20,000 miles is mine). Clearly by just reading problems posted online, there are many issues with Mazda products. Judging from my experience, speaking to somebody from their corporate office who would neither allow me to speak to anyone with authority, or offer any resolution to the problem to keep a customer, I certainly will not be purchasing any of their products in the future, and I would advise anyone I know to look elsewhere.

Mazda has a horrible policy. They do not contact users through DMV so if your information for your car is not up to date through a dealership then you will not get notified if theres a recall or repair for your car. So in my situation the extended warranty for the part I had a problem with was 10 years and the 10th year was covid year. I found out there was a warranty replacement but it was too late and they wont own up to the fact that they dont notify everyone that has the car/issue and said its my fault for not taking my car to a dealer to get service? I purchased a used 2008 Mazda CX-7 in 2010. The car was in mint condition. A few months later, I would occasionally hear a ticking in the engine but the car ran fine so I thought nothing of it. I kept up with my oil changes. Last Thursday, I started the car and heard a terrible noise in the engine and my check engine light came on. I went home and did some research and discovered that the timing chain on the VVT is a huge issue with this vehicle. Thousands of inquiries and complaints. I researched recalls and discovered that Mazda has extended the warranty to 70,000 miles. My car has 52,000 miles. I called the dealership and they confirmed the extended warranty and told me to bring my car in. He said nothing else except that it would be covered. When I got to the dealership, they inspected the vehicle to make sure it was the timing chain problem before I left it. The service manager came out to the waiting room and asked me to talk with him privately in an office. He showed me a paper towel with what looked like chunky oil. He told me he would not be able to cover my car under the extended warranty because I had sludge and did not maintain my vehicle properly. I took that as an insult and told him I did get my oil changed. He asked me to provide receipts which seems ridiculous to me. Unless someone goes to one oil change place religiously, how do you keep track of all of those receipts? In my case, I have a friend do most of my oil changes. No receipts. I called Mazda direct to complain. They told me that they would forgo the receipts if they had permission to remove the valve cover and check the condition. At my expense! I called about 6 independent mechanics around town and they all told me the CX-7 has a sludge issue. That no vehicle with 50,000 miles would have sludge that bad even if oil changes werent performed at regular intervals. That no vehicle should need a timing chain at 50,000 miles. It is an obvious defect in the design and Mazda doesnt want to pay out millions to correct their mistake. I cannot afford a $1200 repair and now after reading all of these complaints, Im afraid my engine is going to blow. Mazda needs to take care of their customers!

2006 Mazda 3 - I had increasing problems with oil burning. I first noticed the problem when my car was still under warranty and mentioned it to the mechanic who said it was normal. My car slowly using more & more oil. I would check it weekly, at 8 years old and 138000 km putting in 1 liter of oil every 7-10 days. Last week had complete engine failure. Told I need a new engine. I think that is crazy for a car of this age, with this mileage that I have been very conscientious re: maintenance, oil changes, etc. Mazda no help at all. Since this has happened just through conversation in the past 5 days, I have learned of 2 other people with the same issue. This should be a recall issue. I had the same problem with my the locks (being kicked in to access car), Mazda was very little help. Finally paid for updated door locks but would not pay for damage done to my door.

Help me please! My engine problems began at 38,000 mi. Another dealership fought corporate to have it covered. I was thankful! Then real problems began. Two turbos later and many code lights naming everything under Mazda sun, I had the last ever illuminating engine light that would not clear regardless of what Mazda service did. I hate this company. Had vehicle towed in for noise in upper engine area (VVT). Towed in not to do any damage. They took off oil pan (was tapping not knocking) now this is a 2009 Mazdaspeed 3 with a k&n air filter and a street unit blow off valve no big changes and no issues at all besides the tapping. Well long story short, they took the bearing out (crank) and when i said put it back together i need a second opinion. Had it towed to another Mazda dealer who found out there was a problem with the covered VVT valve issues but did not cover the engine (34,600 miles) because of the air filter and BOV. I called BS but some stupid fool tech said my car was highly modified (what!!!) so they did not cover it and i paid out of pocket $6000 plus for a new engine. And yes i have video and written proof that they put the bearings back in backwards and ruined the engine for a simple fix. Since then, I do all my own service and have had 0 problems with 86,00 miles with the k&n filter and BOV. Should i be pissed? Yes! But I love my Mazda and I am sure they know they abused this customer with tech experience and knowledge of cars and trucks for 30 years plus and would think they all knew better when it is under warranty. This is where the term Stealership came from. Sad but true. Even worst I am not the type of person to hunt down these fools and drag them in court just to make a point and get my money back. I purchased my Mazda Cx-7 in December 2009. Only one week after my purchase, the engine light came on (12.17.09). I took my car to Sussman Mazda for service and they replaced a valve. Shortly after that, the engine light came on again (3.10). This time, a timing chain/belt was replaced. A couple of months later, the engine light came on again with the car now needing a transmission sensor replaced (10.10). On June 25, 2011, the engine light came on again. I took the car back and was told that the car could not be seen until June 28. I decided to keep the car there due to the driving condition while taking the car to the dealer. On June 28, I never received a phone call and had to call the dealer. I was informed that the machine that read the problems with Mazda cars was currently broke, and they had no idea when the machine would be fixed. While waiting, I rented a vehicle, which was not covered by my warranty because they were not able to state what was wrong with the car. I was told that I should now pay for a tow truck to have my car taken to another dealer. I expressed that when my car was dropped off on 6.25.11, the machine was not broken; therefore, I should not be responsible for towing the car. The dealer indicated that they would try to fix the machine in the meantime and get back to me. While waiting, I contacted the Mazda headquarters concerning this matter. They concluded that Sussman would pay for the rental car. My car stayed with Sussman for about two-and-a-half weeks. Sussman dealer stated that they wont have a new machine anytime soon and they agreed to transport my car to North Penn dealership, which concluded that my car needed a new turbo and possibly a new engine. Im very confused on how a car, which was purchased not even two years ago, would need so much work. I recently picked up my car on August 4, 2011. It is my understanding after completing some research that the Mazda Cx-7 has had several issues concerning the engine in the later models. I conclude this letter by stating that service at Sussman was horrible. This is my first experience with Mazda cars and based on this, I would never recommend this vehicle. I hope that you can shed some light on this matter concerning engine concerns. Also, until this day, Sussman has yet to phone me concerning the rental car fee, after copies of the receipts were sent for over $900 in payment. I look forward to hearing from someone in the near future.

My mom gave her old mazda. We had no problems with it until we were stopped at a light and the oil light came on. 30 sec later the motor seized up due to a cracked housing for the oil filter. Out of the blue the housing cracked blue oil all over the bottom of the car and seized the motor. After talking to mechanics junk yards and other people on the Internet, we found that this was a very common situation. I put in a complaint with the NATSA the ph number is 888 327 4236. The more complaints the better the chances are of us getting our cars fixed to everybody that has had this problem.

I cant press down, so I have to pull my E-brake, turn my car off, take my key out then I put my key back in and start my car and its all fine. Luckily its only ever happened to me when there are no cars around but its getting more consistent 2 times in 1 week.

After 17.000 miles on my 2016 Mazda CX3 the driver’s side headlight housing failed and was filling up with moisture. MAZDA replaced it free of charge. The dealer tells me that Mazda is having trouble with these housings and that they have not put out a recall, Ok? At 40.000 miles it failed on the other side. MAZDA will not replace it. They say because I am 4.000 miles over the warranty. A 2 year old car and both headlights have failed. They want over $400+ labor. My first Mazda and my last if they can’t stand behind a 2 year old car and replace it. I would be willing to even pay for the labor at the dealer. Maybe someone here can get them to step up to the plate. Thank you.

On May 21, 2013, I bought a new Mazda 6 Sedan - full optional, including the Red Soul extra paint. Just few miles away, I noticed 3 spots on the front hood. The paint is extremely thin and it is difficult to see the clear coat with a magnifier lens. I brought the car to the dealer and they said it is normal to get spots because of road sand. I washed the car and one more spot appeared. Because of my firm complaints, I was able to get an appointment with an inspector from Mazda and now Im waiting to see him. Paint quality is unacceptably cheap for that car standard. Should I expect the car surface to be pitting away day by day?

They did eventually cover the turbo under warranty, I had to pay $300 for an oxygen sensor and I still wont do the wheel bearing, but at least they covered the expensive part. I called head office, they called the dealer, back and forth and it was eventually covered. The main root cause is that when I purchased the vehicle and asked to extend the warranty, I thought I was extending the original warranty which is covered under Mazdas Added Protection plan for new vehicles. What the salesman actually gave me is a two year powertrain warranty. Im not sure if this was miscommunication or an error on their part, difficult to prove at this point.

I have a 2008 CX7 with 28,647 miles. On 7/7/13 the air conditioning began blowing hot air. I contacted the dealership on 7/8 and was informed my warranty expired on 6/14 and I should contact the Mazda Customer Satisfaction number for filing a complaint to see if they would replace my compressor. I contacted 1-800-222-5500 and spoke with Stephanie ** who provided me a file number and informed I needed to have the dealership confirm the issue was the compressor. The dealership confirmed the compressor and belt need replaced. I contacted the Customer Satisfaction number back and the complaint process began. I was notified on 7/15 that Mazda will not provide any financial assistance as it is outside of my warranty period. Considering the low miles on my vehicle, the warranty JUST ran out and there are apparently issues with the air conditioning on my vehicle as there are SEVERAL complaints online, I was very disturbed that a corporation who is supposed to be reputable will not stand behind their vehicle.

At 54,000 miles, our Mazda 08 CX turbo went out. We had it towed to the dealer where we bought it and they said the turbo had sludge in it. Every time we had our oil changed, they would say our oil is dirty and low. How is this possible when we did regular oil changes? Now, doing a little research on our model year, it turns out that many people have had this very same issue, with the same results. Mazda will not warranty the part without service records. Well, I dont have all my oil change receipts for the last 5 years, so now what? Mazda even extended the warranty for the turbo because they know its bad. Has anyone been able to get this part fixed under warranty? If so, tell me how you did it so I can get this done. Thanks.

I own a Mazda 6 2007 model. I have been very displeased with both quality and reliability of this automobile. The problems I have had: interior roof light fell out, clips on light broke, coil pack shorted, catalytic converter, A/C compressor, rod bearings (ruined engine). My family currently has 5 Hondas, 2 CR-Vs and 3 Civics and all bought new. Together they have over 600,000 miles and other than wear and tear items (tires, brakes, oil filter), have had zero problem. Honda also has excellent customer relationship department at every dealership I go to. Advice to everyone, when driving down the road, notice what brands you see the most (in parking lots, on the road) and go buy from them.

My husband bought me a 1998 Mazda 626 in June. In July I took to car to get a tune up and to see why the check engine light was on. When they hooked the car up to the machine they told me that the the first spark plug was misfiring and that it showed up that the threads from that spark plug was crossed. I took the car back to the dealership and they told me that someone had glued the spark plug and all my mechanic had to do was to wipe the glue off and the do the tune up. So I said okay and took the car back to Mekinee here in Raleigh. Well, they said they werent going to touch the car so I called up the dealership and they said for me to bring the car to them, I said okay. While Im on my way to take them the car, all of sudden the car broke down along the side of the highway. They came and towed the car, so the following day my husband who is in the military came home and we went down to check on the car and thats when they told us that the transmission was gone on the car. This car only has around 100,000 miles on it , now I dont know what to do and the dealership has completely stopped having contact with me and my husband.

I recently bought a Mazda CX-5 (2 months ago). At the time of purchase I had only a couple of criteria but they were very important to me since I put A LOT of mileage on my cars. (My last car was a 2007 and it had 380,000 km on it when I finally decided to buy a new car.) My criteria: The car needed to have XM/Sirius availability, a bluetooth that enabled true hands free use of my cell phone calls and an easy to use, straightforward navigation system. I was told the CX 5 I was purchasing had all three… WHAT A LIE!!!I paid an extra $1300 for the tech package to be installed into the car that would supposedly allow all three of above criteria. Immediately it was evident that something was wrong with the navigation (or so I thought). It took no less than 7 step to input any address into it. It was impossible to use on the fly and required not only pulling over to input info BUT it demanded 6 more levels of information before it would give me directions! Im serious. After returning to Budds dealership to attempt to gain further insight on how to correct this issue it became evident that NONE of the salespeople knew how to operate it! NONE! Not even the sales manager. We had to contact the Navigation system manufacturers in the state to find out what the problem was. Turns out, there was no problem. That was the crappy-ass cheap nav system that Mazda had ordered for their 2016 CX line of cars!!! Oh - by the way, the voice recognition is non-existent. Now I am back to driving around having to rely on my iPhone Google Maps to direct me on my travels. Nice to know Mazda has our backs (tongue firmly planted in check) helping its customers abide by the hands free driving rules now strictly in place in Canada and the US. There is no excuse for this type of 20th century technology in todays 21st century, seriously?? The XM was a joke, it does not actually show up on the in-dash display. It is provided exclusively by a tiny little remote that has push buttons. No scrolling capability, no visual feedback about what station you are on or listening to, unbelievable. By the way, I had the tech package removed and requested my $1300 back. My Bluetooth is another matter, cuts in and out on a regular basis. I have to reconnect my phone and the cars bluetooth at least 4 times a month. Again, as with the nav system, the voice recognition is non-existent.I HATE THIS CAR. $40,000 and 7 yrs of car payments for the privilege of driving a car with no nav system, XM/Sirius or bluetooth capability. So basically I am back driving around having to use my iPhone for cell calls and google maps. One more thing, the gas mileage sucks, the tank is the size of a football. I am filling up every second or third day AND it sounds like a diesel engine when you first start it up. I thought something was wrong with the muffler when I first started driving it. Turns out the loud engine and exhaust noise is the result of the skyactiv technology they use, another huge marketing BS story they try to sell you about why Mazda is so advanced. Did I mention HOW MUCH I HATE THIS CAR??

I purchased it last year after I got hit in an automobile accident that left my previous car totaled. I paid for the Mazda 2 in full. This is about my second consecutive Mazda sedan I have owned. After I was notified of the recent recall of the passenger side inflator on my 2012 Mazda 6 I wanted to also have the drivers side one replaced, at my expense, and when it was later recalled (as it most likely would be), I wanted to be reimbursed for whatever my cost was. I first presented this request to the dealership who told me the cost would be around $700, because they said the inflator part alone could not be replaced. Because I am willing to pay this amount I then contacted Mazda Corporate Customer Experience where I was told Mazda could not promise any reimbursement but would “review” such request. Finally, I contacted two executives at the Corporation with this request. My last request to one of them was made by letter mailed by certified mail. Although the letter mailing was verified received by USPS, it has now been some 3 months and I have not received any reply and I dont expect to. My Opinion: This clearly shows me: MAZDA DOESN’T EVEN CARE ENOUGH ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS TO EVEN RESPOND TO THEM IN THIS SITUATION. This experience has now cemented my decision to never purchase another Mazda again. I probably should not have purchased this one because I had a problem with the moonroof not always closing on the last one that was only fixed because a friend of mine knew someone at Mazda that I was able to connect with who got the problem finally fixed after my having taken the car to the dealership numerous times and told they “had to replicate the problem” before it could be fixed.

I went in for an oil change and full circle inspection, but little did I know that Ill be unhappy with service. About a week or so later, I actually took notice that a/c was not working as good as it did before serviced by Mazda, and as a normal routine of checking fluid levels, I also noticed that the oil was low. On 9/25/11, I called the Mazda service department and spoke to Lee. I informed him the exact information and he told me to bring my car in for service. So, I schedule an appointment for 9/27/11 at 2:15 pm.I went in just to be told that in order for Mazda to service the car, I would have to pay $129 for the a/c and that if oil was short, I would not have a problem unless it was below low. I did explain to him that my husband had to put in a quarter of oil because it was so low. He suggested that I bring it back for another oil change and they would deduct a quarter off the amount. He was not willing to consider by chance that air was leaked out of the car by Mazda technician and not enough oil was put in the car by Mazda. He never stated over the phone about paying for them to check a/c or anything. I drove from another city just for poor service once again.

Back in June of 2015 we purchased a new 2016 Mazda CX5 from Fremont Mazda in Fremont CA. Once we agreed on the price, the car was delivered to us in poor condition, the paint felt like sandpaper (it was not prepped right) and we found cookie crumbs in the cup holder and candy wrappers under the drivers seat. By the time transaction was done it was late (about 9:30PM), but even with the poor outside lighting, we noticed defects in the paint on the hood of the vehicle. The dealer assured us they would take care of it. It was late, and even with all these issues we took the car home, trusting that all would be made right. I could look past the cookie crumbs and the candy wrappers, but in daylight the next day, multiple defects in the paint were very apparent. We took the car back to the dealer, they had a Mazda rep look at it. It was determine that the defects were under the clear coat of the paint, but they were severe enough to do anything about. The dealer offered after some complaining to repaint the hood (could not guarantee it would match) or get us a VISA gift card for $500. As I was pretty fed up with the dealer, we opted for the VISA gift card. It took about 6 weeks and lots of calls, but what finally arrived from Mazda was a Mazda gift card, good for only 1 year, but for Mazda mechanical repairs only. What good is $500 of credit for repairs on a brand new car that has a 3 year warranty? By the way repairs dont include painting the hood. So now I have a car with defects that came from the factory that no one will do anything about. After multiple complaints, the dealer said, Mazda will make the next 2 lease payments to make it up to us, nothing ever happened. Then the dealer said instead we would receive a $500 check from Mazda. That was at least 4 weeks ago, NOTHING!I wish I could say the story ends here, but it got worse quickly. A couple of weeks after buying the car, a piece of gravel hit the windshield and cracked it so badly - the car is not drivable as the crack is along the drivers side of the windshield and quite large. The insurance company authorized a replacement ASAP. This was in early July. Turns out Mazda does not have any replacement windshields anywhere in the US as the model is so new, yet they continue in production somehow. It is now almost 3 MONTHS later and still no windshields available, no date as to when it will be, and no offer of help from the dealer at all.We have made multiple payments on this car since early July, have not been able to drive it and have defects that are permanent in the paint before we even got it home. The dealer not only did not keep the commitment of compensation for the paint, but offered us no help when we found out the back ordered windshield could take months to come in (and it has). We even checked into aftermarket windshields, but were told, they are also not yet available. As a consumer, I believe there is an implied understanding when you buy a new car, that typical replacement parts will be available, clearly not the case with Mazda and the 2016 CX5. We will never look at another Mazda, not because of what happened, but rather because the company and the dealer offered no help. I called Mazda corporate helpline many times. They dont return phone calls and when you do finally get someone, they tell you, you need to be patient, and we value your business, right!

Mazda CX-7 2011: In June of 2014 I lost my first turbo, at 54,000 miles. After having the turbo replace it turned out that my fuel pump was also bad, had that replaced. In July of 2015 a weird noise began coming from the area of my turbo. Brought it to the Mazda dealership and was told it was probably a wrist pin. Brought my car to another dealership and it turned out a few bolts between the turbo and manifold had broke and the gap was causing the whistling noise. Had to pay for bolt replacement out of pocket (over $1000 because they also insisted on replacing the seals on the turbo). November of 2015 my second Turbo went. I was over the Warrantied mileage and warranty was denied. The turbo warranty from previous installation had also expired after 12 months. Replaced turbo at my own expense. January of 2016 the car flashed a check engine and oil light. Pulled over and immediately shut the car down. After having the car towed to a repair place it was discovered that the crankshaft bearing had gone bad and destroyed the motor. I basically have a worthless car with only 67 thousand miles on it.

I purchased a 2008 CX9 certified pre-owned Mazda on 10/7/2011 and Maple Shade Mazda confirmed I had 80% left on the brakes. Six month later on March 27 2012, I had to take the car in because it was making a noise when I stopped. The dealer said I need new rotors and new brakes. I had driven the car 5000 miles since I bought the car. I felt the dealer made a false representation when they stated in writing I had 80% left on my brakes. Dealer refused to install the brakes at their expense which is what I believe they should have done. I dont believe I could have used 50 of the brakes in six months or 5,000 or 6,000 miles.

Today is Feb. 8, 2013 and I bought this car (Mazda 6i Touring 2010) in Oct. 2010. When I purchased this car, Mazda sent me an email with a survey as to how my experience was with the service at the dealership and with the salesman. In the survey, they asked a very clear question if they filled up the tank with fuel. However, after I answered the question as honest as I knew of the thing they were supposed to do which was some negative and some positive, I got Schaumburg Mazda dealer doing things to the car every time I took the car for oil change. The first time, they lost the the bottom bolts of the front suspension lower control arm; then they made the tire lose air so the light for the tires in the cluster will light and the next time they had it for three days. Now, the car does not have traction and every time it spins the wheel because of slippery road. The engine lost power. The suspension does not have a grip to the floor so maybe they even took some suspension parts out. They did more to the car. I had just been honest to their survey and I believed the survey is a snare to the customers so they know who they will target to damage their car. Now, how can I prove the dealer has done things to the car with the performance of the car being diminished? I know if I take the car back to the dealer, they will finally make the car to break down beyond repair and, after the warranty is going to expire, where I can go to have them repair the car and have the absolute confidence the car will last with the care I give the years that it should. Never again will I buy a Mazda car not because they are not good but because the dealer is not honest to their customers. After they get their money, they do not care one bit about you, your car or their business. As a side note, I did talk to Mazda headquarters but it was worse than just to let it alone. Apparently, they are just so arrogant that they have the control of the dealer and they allow those things to happen.

2013 M3 6-speed manual purchased at 27,500 miles in April 2015 with transmission problems since purchase. I only have to put gas in it twice a month, but the savings over the years will soon be eaten up by a necessary total transmission replacement including master and slave cylinders, entire clutch assembly, and probably the gearbox as well. Not surprisingly, after 2 years of complaints, Mazda techs were finally able to duplicate the shifting problem (stemming from a known issue and current class action suit) on a service visit just outside of warranty, and they blamed it on user error and normal wear and tear. All the reviews youre reading are true... Mazda does not stand behind their products after purchase. Skyactiv-Gs are ridiculously frugal on gas, though! 34+ mpg in mixed driving over 72,000 miles! My issue has been overall shifting crunchiness worst in temps below 50F and failure to shift into first gear multiple times per day since day 1 no matter the weather. Just buy a Honda or Toyota...the Mazda zoom-zoom feeling wears off the moment you drive away from the dealer and the depreciation is ridiculous, so youll be stuck with it until its paid off because no one wants to work on Skyactiv-Gs except Mazda despite being nearly a decade old technology.

My husband and I traded in a BMW X5 for a Mazda CX7 (year 2007) last year, 2011. We decided to go with Mazda CX7, because we believed it would be a reliable family car that would also be affordable to maintain, and is fuel efficient. We purchased our Mazda at a private dealership and purchased the top coverage warranty since the car was a 2007 model.Earlier this month, my husband took the car to the warranty approved maintenance shop for an oil change, where he was informed by the mechanic that the car needs to be repaired due to VVT damage, and that we cannot drive the car until the part is ordered and repaired. At first we were told that our warranty will cover the repair work, but it will take approximately 2 weeks for the VVT part to come in.It has now been nearly three weeks, and my husband and I still dont have our car back, since the VVT part is on backorder all over North America. We are both working parents of a two and a half year old toddler who needs to be taken to daycare every day. The CX7 is our only car, therefore in the past three weeks; weve had to rely on friends, co-workers and now a rental car to make it to work and our daughters daycare. The rental car is costing us a lot of money, and neither our warranty, nor Mazda is willing to cover the rental car fees. We have no estimate as to when the VVT part will arrive for our Mazda CX7 and no way of getting around. We are financially unable to continue paying for the rental car.Having said all that, I am extremely disappointed and angry with Mazda. It seems that VVT (variable valve timing) part is now a known problem with Mazda CX7, so this is a faulty VVT problem that Mazda is aware of, yet no one we spoke with from Mazda is willing to show any compassion for us. Mazdas response to our problem is simply that since we dont have proof of enough oil changes (weve only had the car for less than a year), and we dont have our extended warranty with Mazda, therefore its not their problem. Ive obviously been mistaken by trusting Mazda for making a reliable car, or showing any social responsibility and compassion to their customers.

They want to tow my car without any replacement. I only have one car. I cant complain to anybody. Here they will make you feel its your fault you have flaky unit. They want to charge for the repairs. The is less than one year old. Still without warranty. I tried calling mazda Japan but they dont have contact number. Cant complaint to anybody. I should have bought German made car. POOR after sales. Not reliable. Have a back up car because mazda will break down anytime.

Mazda roadside charged me to use a towing company to pick up my vehicle and take it in for service. My vehicle never made it to the service department, they kept my car and wanted to charge me additional to tow again. I was not able to retrieve my vehicle so I lost to towing company. I called the bank they retrieve the vehicle and repoed. The car was auctioned off. Now it shows on my credit report. Im having a hard time getting a vehicle due to open loan.

It has been a great vehicle so far and its comfortable to ride in. I love how I just need the key fob in my pocket/purse and can lock/unlock with one touch and a key is not needed to be placed in ignition. It is very dependable. It is also very comfortable and fun to drive. I chose this for the third row seat to upgrade from the CX-7 I owned. I like the leather seats, sunroof, rear view camera, keyless entry and driving and fold down third row seat. But I would like for it have Apple CarPlay, more leg room in third row, seat coolers and better softer leather seats like previous CX-9 models have.

I bought a brand new CX5 in Soul Red in May, 2014. After normal driving in summer road conditions, have already noticed 2 chips in the hood paint. I turned in a 2008 Honda CRV with almost 100K miles on it and had no such paint chipping. I was told the paint wasnt under warranty and tough luck. Very disappointed and can only imagine how terrible my brand new car will look after a winter and road salt hacking away at the paint. I have never owned a car with such an issue and now see many complaints with regards to Mazda paint.
