They make lots of other models, but nothing can hold a candle to the Roadmaster... I had to go to Lincoln to find one almost as good as the Roadmaster. The car was elegantly styled, with comfortable seats, power steering, power brakes, a headliner that was firmly anchored to the ceiling of the car, front and rear defoggers, and heated rear window plates that would quickly melt ice and snow. The 8 cylinder engine had more than enough power to tackle the steep mountain roads, even in the Tetons. Also, the audio system was superb and an upgrade would have been a waste of money. Although rated as a 6 passenger vehicle, the nice middle arm that folded down in front made it essentially a 5 passenger vehicle... but 6 guys of my build (6 ft. and 350 lbs) could easily fit.
I went to service my car for the ABS. They ran a diagnostic and told me it was my left front hub. The mechanic never checked it. I took it to a mechanic and ordered the front left part. Buick wanted to charge 400, my mechanic charged 280. They installed the part, but ABS was still on. I took it back and they checked my car and found out that it was the left rear hub that was completely damaged. I showed them the estimate from Buick and they told me to go there and ask for a reimbursement for a false diagnostic. They started throwing out words like speculate and cant confirm. I spoke to the General Manager and he was a complete sarcastic ** with a snooze you loose attitude. What the hell. Did I pay them for inaccurate information and a waste of my time?
Bought a used 2012 Buick Enclave with just 60k miles on it. I was told it was a great safe family vehicle (by sales associate). 3 days after purchase the #2 injector failed and stranded us. We brought it back to dealership and they took it to Buick hall and had it repaired. A week later we were stranded again for the same issue (reduced power, smoking, fumes in car, stabilitrak alert all the same symptoms). This time we took it back to Buick hall and they said it was just an injector misfire, refused to replace it. We asked about recalls and they said there were none. A few weeks later all the same things happened and we called them. They wanted 200 to test fuel system, knowing we knew what the issue was, then said if it was in fact the injectors again its eight hundred per faulty injector. I have NEVER had so many issues with a vehicle in my life. We are a single income household with four young boys, we cant afford to shell out all this money and now we are stuck in an unsafe lemon that has stranded my family on the side up the road for this same issue several times since. Total of 6 months weve had this LEMON!!!
The Buick has cruise control, air conditioner, power windows. Its good on gas mileage, has airbags, all wheel drive, manual trunk, GPS, and leather seats. Its a very beautiful designed vehicle. It has great bumper to Bumper warranty, and good prices. Its a good performance vehicle, and has lot power, lot of color design on the vehicle, and comes with extra seats. There are vents in back for Ac and heat. This vehicle upgrade is wonderful and the technology they did to this vehicle is awesome. Its a wonderful personalized vehicle for customers looking for in a vehicle. There are more rooming vehicles on the market. The extra seat in the back helps out a great deal. You can the back seats down, tuck them out also. You got to look at this vehicle.
The Buick Enclave for my family of six has given me nothing but problems. My check engine light would stay on majority of the time. It use to sound like something up under the vehicle was loose because it would rattle really badly. Whenever you started the truck up, it would make a loud roaring sound and grinding when making a left hand turn. My heat/air went out. All of the warning signals began lighting up. My front driver tire would always go low; but I was told by the dealership that the passenger back tire sensor needed to be replaced. The list goes on and on, but now it has been inoperable and parked in front of my garage since May 4, 2017. I had just got the vehicle used from a car lot; that had just purchased it from the dealership next door to them that morning. The downside was that it was purchased AS IS and with no extended warranty. The worst part is that it was purchased to replace a car that I had just lost, due to a total loss of being in an accident where I was not the at fault driver. I went months without a vehicle after being forced to turn in the rental. Now, my family has to endure being without a running vehicle now for almost a year. It is extremely unethical on GMs part because they were already aware of many of their plethora of models/years before they even started. Now, my family has been going in debt to pay for a vehicle that we cannot drive. I have been forced to turn down temp jobs because the strain of lack of multiple public transit routes not coinciding with job schedules. Most people in social media groups have been bragging about at last getting rid of their money pit vehicles. I wish that was even an option for me. However, if I was even able to afford to get it fixed, I would still be taking a major loss with the $4000 that I put down plus the loan payments that we are currently still making in addition to when I was still making full coverage insurance payments. That could have been going towards the loan payments, repairs, or even another vehicle.
My 2005 Buick Rainier is an older car, but has not given us any problems. It has been very reliable and the only things we have had to do are just considered regular maintenance. I like the leather seats and the wood details such as the steering wheel. I love the amount of space in the back as well as the dual climate control. The only features I would add are a sun/moon roof and maybe a DVD player for the back for long trips. Other than that, I just love the entire look of the car and it is also a very smooth ride.
My sister went to start her car after getting off her graveyard shift and she heard an explosion and black smoke was bellowing out from under the hood! She immediately got out of the car and wondering what the heck was going on, and then the engine burst into flames! She works at a facility where people are treated for dementia! One of the residents was frightened so bad they had to calm him down! What in Gods name is GM doing? Id never buy a GM product especially after reading the complaints other people has experienced! My sister is without a car now!
Hi I have a Buick Rainer 06. Im on my 3 drivers side door handle with in 2 yrs of owning this SUV. Door handle broke a week after buying it used with 82k on it. Didnt know my back door would have to become my front door. Very unhappy with quality.
One of my first cars was a Buick so buying another I was confident with the brand. The style and comfort was above expectation. The engine and handling was on point. My only complaint was the blindspot. But the outside style was sleek, sporty and looked of luxury and classic lines with just enough of toughness. The wheels looked and were an upgrade to your standard style too. The heated leather interior was on point but is hot in the summer and my pupper slide around on the seats. Wow the legroom in the back seat was amazing. Im short so of course it worked for me but my 63 husband fit comfortably as well. Plenty of leg & head room.
I just purchased a 1995 Lesabre for basically nothing so I cant complain much, but the problems Im facing is about 5 minutes after I first crank the car, it suddenly dies. It cranks right back up but the Security light comes on and about ten minutes after that, the engine light comes up. It seems to run better after the engine light comes on, which I figured is the computer trying to correct something that is wrong. Other than that the steering is super noisy, which is expected out of a 20 year old car. I love the way the car rides, its super smooth and runs great other than the problems Ive listed. The car is a 3800 with around 220k miles on it.
We have a 2011 Buick Regal with 60,000 miles. Transmission went this summer. Got that fixed. Now the timing chain is broke. Because the timing chain broke the motor went. The car is an absolute lemon and we are told nothing is covered. I wish I knew how GM could get away with this.
I bought my car a year ago. Both interior door panels on right side are damaged. They said they would order them and replace both. I have literally called them every month and there’s some excuse! I still have never gotten a follow up call from anyone! All the managers in all departments know me because of how many times I’ve been in. Now my engine light has been on 3 days! I’ve left 7 messages between my service guy and his manager. I need to make service appt. No one will call me back! It’s horrible service. I asked to please let me know even if they are too full to fit me in. They just ignore me. Maybe I’m being too nice??? I would never buy a Buick again!!!
Frustrated and disappointed owner of a 2010 Buick Enclave CXL with 86,000.00 miles. I cannot begin to describe how awful my experience with Buick and this Enclave has been. Ive owned this vehicle for 3 years bought it used at 30,000 miles with full maintenance records including tune ups and oil changes. Since Ive had the vehicle I have experienced the following: I have been left stranded on the freeway 4 times with 3 small children ranging from ages 3 months of age to 5 years of age with the same recurring issue Reduced engine power. I kid you not, the vehicle begins to fail locks up and then shuts off. I cant begin to describe how incredibly dangerous and frightful that experience is of having your vehicle shut off on you while traveling at 50-70 miles an hour with small children in the vehicle. And to make matters worse its out of warranty so I have paid over 13,000.00 in repairs alone. At least once a year our beloved family car shuts off and leaves us stranded in an incredibly dangerous situation and all Buick can say is we are sorry, you have had such a negative experience with this vehicle. Maybe its just a bad batch, lets offer you a newer model. As delightful as that sounds its not something I cant afford to do when I have paid you in full for a vehicle that doesnt work. And these vehicles are not cheap. Yes its a beautiful vehicle and has great features such as on star, blue tooth, heated leather seats, full 3rd row, towing capabilities, wood trim and all the other bells and whistles but Ive spent more money than any consumer needs to pay for a newer vehicle with low mileage. Since May of 2013 Ive had the following issues, power steering failure, reduced engine power (yearly occurrence), replacing a water pump twice, fuel injectors twice and transmission issues and those AC failing on one side of the vehicle. My biggest concerns are Safety and Reliability, your vehicles are not safe. I am proof of that and I have all the towing documents and dealership repair receipts to prove it. When you hear Oh my goodness, you are all lucky to be alive from your own Buick service technicians and other customers when explaining to them why your car is not working and why you were walking in from a ride on a small and uncomfortable tow truck with 3, yes 3 small children in car seats... you might just want to reach out to your customer and offer them a replacement or reimbursement. This is not how I would handle my business, this is not the type of poor service or experience any customer should endure, especially a client who has been loyal and understanding and paid their vehicle on full. I hope this helps other very frustrated consumers like myself who do not plan on remaining silent while companies like Buick continue to make money and make mistakes that might one day cost us our lives.
Buick offers a lot of models which I will totally recommend to family and friends. Its totally useful, effective and a brand that I simply love. I wish that I tried it out sooner. My car has a fine appearance and it has wonderful features that I like which I prefer over the other features of some models. The car capacitys all right even though it doesnt hold a lot, on a scale of 1-10 (10 being satisfying) I would rate the capacity 8 out of 10. I love the upgrade and the options they offer. Its easier and safer to use with every upgrade it keeps getting. Making more people switch over, this is one thing I love about it.
I owned a 2010 Buick Lacrosse Touring with less than 55,000 miles that was diagnosed as having a serious lower engine problem and malfunctioning transmission by a GMC/Buick dealership here in St Louis, MO. All but $1000 of the $4000 repair bill was covered by the 5 year drivetrain warranty. So I sold it at a big loss and found a 2012 Lacrosse Touring with low miles because my wife insisted on buying an American car. Guess what people, same problem. Bad engine and transmission. My engine sounds like its ready to quit any minute and my transmission revs up to 1500 RPMs to shift gears. Its my experience and opinion that the Buick company officers should be held accountable for blatant fraud.
The cars come in so many different material types, big, small and different colors, its just amazing. The different models in this brand of car come in different years which means that one car may have this one thing in it but a newer model may have something better than the other ones. The car brand is very nice and up to date, too. They have the feel of a luxury car with a price you can afford. The insides are very easy to keep up with and to keep the Car clean as well. This is a family car. It can hold up to five people which is perfect for the average family nowadays. It also has great trunk space for those big shopping trips that you take.
I have a 2012 Verano. Paint started coming off hood. It has never been parked under trees. Now paint on roof and top of truck is all faded. The sides are starting to look the same. Out of my bumper to bumper warranty 3000 miles ago. It has to be defective paint. GM is going to look at it they said.
Bought my 2017 Buick Cascada new and had no problems until June 29, 2019. Since then nothing but problems. Four attempts to repair at one dealership between June 30 and the middle of July. The dealership claimed they fixed/replaced crank shaft and can shaft three times and the issues were unrelated. Returned car to me leaking oil. Second dealership has had car since first week of August with turbo part 30 to 60 days out. GMC representative informed me that’s a parts issue not theirs and since they plan to repair it they are upholding their end of the deal. I thought the deal was a quality car?!?? Apparently the deal is provide bare minimum and expect consumer to be happy. I expected more from Buick. Should have stuck with Nissan. Less flash but a lot more reliable!
We bought this vehicle in January 2016. 13 months after purchase the engine jumped time and the whole engine needed to be replaced to the tune of almost $10,000. Repairs are expensive on this vehicle.
The Buick LeSabre was an affordable means of transportation and a comfortable riding car. It was a four door sedan, nothing more or less. It also has average looks and good gas mileage. I could not have asked for more at that time of purchase.
I just discovered a leak in the base cover from the blower motor. I was very disappointed to learn from the Internet that this problem is a reoccurring problem on Buick Enclave from 2008-2010 and the dealer that sold me the car never disclosed said problem. I own a 2010 Model and I am sure that the floor and electrical have been damaged by water. This a an issue that demands a recall of the vehicle. I have been trying to have Buick fix the problem at their cost but I need authorization not to charge for the repairs and assurance that it can be fix. Please help.
Buick comes pretty much standard with all that comes on ANY new car in this day and age. Electronic locks and windows, sleek, almost space time looking, nice four tires and rims, four-door sedan model with boot assist trunk for when your hands are full, looks incredible and we love it. There was plenty of room for 3 adults in back or 2 full-size car seats or boosters plus room in the middle for a third passenger.
I bought a 2003 Buick LeSabre from Faulkner Ford in Quakertown. It had 74,000 miles on it and I thought it would be a good used car. I didnt drive it right away due to car insurance problems. We took it on vacation and the air conditioner worked until we reached our destination. I couldnt take it in for service due to my work schedule. Once I took it in, they told me that the air compressor was cracked and leaked out all the freon. I believe they knew about this repair when they sold me the car. The repair is going to cost between $500 and $800. I looked around and cant afford to fix it since it was financed. I believe it was a deceptive deal. They sold the car advertising that it had air conditioning when in reality it didnt. I was furious. I talked to the service department and also the sales manager trying to get them to do the repair. I have a warranty but of course, it doesnt cover those repairs.
I am driving a 1992 Buick that is undoubtedly one of the finest cars ever made in America. My older brother, an engineer, worked for GM for many years. Hes the source of some of my information, the fact that with proper preventive maintenance, this vehicle is as powerful today as it was when it was produced.
I purchased a 2015 Encore in 2016. I took it in for regular service at the dealer from which I purchased the car. Didnt have any problems with it until this year. We were taking a cross country trip to Albuquerque. On 6/23, we were about an hour out of Albuquerque when there was suddenly a loud noise coming from the engine. I immediately took it off cruise control and the noise stopped. I reengaged cruise control and the noise started again. So I disengaged cruise and every time I tried to accelerate, that noise started again. I took the car to the dealer the next day, and was told that the turbocharger was gone. Then the bad news got worse. They told me there were no spare turbochargers in the country. They put it on national backorder and couldnt tell me when one would be available. After nearly a week, the dealer told me that they had made arrangements for a one-way rental which I would have to turn in when I got back home. They also told me that I could then rent another car until mine got fixed, and then they would ship it to me here in Maryland. They also told me I could submit the rental car bill to GM and MAYBE they would pay it. I decided to buy a new car instead, primarily because I had no idea how long I would be driving a rental car and there was no guarantee that GM would pay the bill. Now my brand new 2019 Encore is in the shop with a broken charge air plate. No idea how long it will take to get the part. Meanwhile Im in another rental. What happened to quality control??
The 2003 Buick Century was originally purchased by my mother in 2007. I inherited the car in 2010. At the time the car was purchased, my mother needed a car that was easy to get in and out of with limited mobility. It has been reliable, comfortable transportation for 9 years. The bench front seat has been especially welcome when driving with two small dogs. Ive never owned an American car that has lasted so long. However, there is a switch for the heater and air conditioner that corrodes from condensation. The entire dashboard needed to be removed to replace it. They should make something like that easier to access for repairs.
I liked my Buick. They offer a vast variety of cars, I had a hard time choosing between a Buick LaCrosse and a Buick LeSabre. I ended up getting the LeSabre. My Buick LeSabre was red with red interior wood panelling on the dash with a wood steering wheel. It was an automatic and it drove smoothly. My Buick LeSabre had seating for six, three in the back seat and three in the front seat. There was bench seats in it and it sat each of my family members comfortably. I choose to upgrade the radio to a CD player, windows to power windows and locks to power locks upgraded to anti-lock brakes.
Purchased this 2013 vehicle used in 2015 from GM dealership. Noticed immediately that the airbag warning kept coming on and going off.. When I asked about this, I was told, not a problem. Over the years, other problems are creeping up... All electrical. Car will not start for no apparent reason, (often) battery good, alternator good, starter good, but car just wont start. Ive had more jumps in the last year than I can count. In fact, Im sitting in this car now, waiting for another. Im sooooo disappointed. All I wanted was an American made car, reliable and lasting. I barely have 42k miles on this car and it is difficult for me to express just how truly disappointed I am. Although, in instances such as these, gender doesnt matter, but as a lady, this frightens me.
What a waste of cash paid out of pocket!!! LEMON LEMON LEMON!!! Future I will buy foreign! Just after purchase wheel bearing out - dealership replaced the part and new tires. Engine out before 60,000 miles-necessary towing from interstate. Trunk release had to be replaced... fixed with key chain. Transmission out before 80,000 miles- towing necessary broke down in parking garage. 3 windows would not work up or down- replaced. 4th window out- someone suggested replace door panel unit to operate windows which Buick knew was a problem rather than previously spent $400 per window. AC problem - have constantly had to add Freon every season and now for second time since 2 months ago needs it again... LEMON!!! Bag of trouble! Now 104,000 miles from since I bought it and seals need to be replaced. I have to rent a car to drive any distance since afraid I will break down again! Not dependable at all!!! Women DO NOT BUY BUICK BECAUSE IT IS NOT RELIABLE!!! Contacted Buick 7 years ago but no response! Horrible experience and expensive to replace all these parts and towing!!! Attorney may contact me if you take it out of the winnings! Think still have original receipt... in SUV.
Purchased Buick Lacrosse 2010, not thirty days in, the power begins to slow down at 23 to 24 miles. Take to dealers, they charge me 115.00 to tell me it may be my air filter and may need throttle body induction. Now in my mind, youre a Buick dealership and you have no clue of whats wrong. And Im forced to pay for that information. My check engine light comes on soon as I left, I call back. They tell me they will charge me 150.00 to put a machine under my trunk switch that advance auto uses for free to read me the codes. It is because Im a woman or dealerships are heading to hell in a hand basket. Signed dont trust ideal Buick.
Buick has a great variety of vehicles. It was a wonderful color, kinda looked black but in the sunlight it was a deep purple. It had an on dash Gps that was placed very nicely, I didnt have to take my eyes off the road to look at it. It also had heated seats, for Michigan that is wonderful. My son is over six foot tall, and he did in the passenger side with comfort. The back seat was quite roomy as well. It had a hatchback making it easy to load and unload groceries. But I would love to buy the smaller Suv they have out now. It seems very stylish and so Good be excellent on gas mileage.
Theres a lot of different models to choose from especially for a young person and first time car buyer and high school student even from a want ad purchase. It has good General Motors automobile with automatic transmission and a great look on the 1982 Buick century I purchased from an old woman in a neighboring town. Buick had some great options in the car including power steering windows and brakes solid am/fm stereo and cassette as well as safety features which could come in handy. It has bucket seats with room for three more passengers in the back. It has good leg room and seatbelts for everyone.
The Regal is a great car. It is good on gas 22 mpg and has great acceleration for a 2 cyl car. It has plenty of room for the front seats. The ride is very comfortable, has a large trunk area, good vision all around.
I have owned my Rainier for 4 1/12 years and have recently had issues with the air suspension system. As I drive or when it’s parked, the vehicles rear end drops, which causes headaches and stomach pain from the bouncing around as I drive. I have researched this issue and found numerous complaints with the same issue. I have taken very good care of the vehicle, and feel that Buick/GM should cover the costs of the repair, since this is a default/defect in the manufacturing of the vehicle and no fault of my own. I am paying a 450.00 monthly car payment that I feel is a LEMON, and I am very frustrated, embarrassed, and dismayed.
I just noticed the dash coming loose from the window in front of the drivers seat. I went online and found there have many complaints of the same problem. There is a concern of the air bags deploying. Besides it is very unsightly. I love my Buick and would buy another one if I needed another vehicle. Apparently Gm is not interested in keeping their customers. Other Buick owners feel the same as myself. Would really like situation rectified.
Buick offers a wide variety of sedans and suv like vehicles. They are all very luxurious and they ride very smooth. My Regal has a turbocharger that keeps the engine rpm really low. I love that my car can climb my hill ridden terrain and still get phenomenal gas mileage. The car has a wonderful sound system and Bluetooth connectivity, too. Also, the car is extremely roomy. I can fit four adults rather comfortably in back seat of the car and I love the dual climate control up front because my wife is always cold and I cant stand having the heat blow on my face. They are a very high quality vehicle manufacturer. I would recommend them to anyone.
We have a 2011 Buick Regal. Its a nice car, but it couldnt make it past 7,000 miles before the check engine light came on three times. The first time it came on, it turned out that it needed a new timing chain and 4 new valves. The second time it came on, the fuel injectors needed to be cleaned. Then, time went by and after five months, the engine light came on for the third time because the car needed a new fuel pump. So far, everything has been fine with the car.
My 2012 Buick Verano at around 15,000 miles makes a noise when it shifts from park to drive and reaches 10 mph. I have had the part replaced once, the dealer and GM will not replace it again. I am supposed to live with this sound my car makes daily. They told me its the ABS sensor and its supposed to make that noise. Its not the clicking noise that I was told the sensor was supposed to make, it clunks like the transmission is having trouble with the first shift. I could not sell this car on my own while its making this noise, they refuse to replace. Why should I be expected to drive a car, still under warranty, while it makes this clunking noise daily? If its the ABS, should they not replace that, can this not be a safety issue?
I have a 2006 Buick Lucerne, purchased new and maintained regularly at GM dealership as per the maintenance manual. Last week of December 2012, a grinding noise was heard. My wife took it in to Highland Dealership in Aurora, ON and she was told after a thorough check up that there was nothing to worry about and she could drive it safely. Four days later, I took the car back to the dealership complaining about the same noise. Later on that day, they called me to let me know that the transmission broke down while they were test driving it.Again, the car was maintained regularly as per the maintenance manual at the GM dealership and they had flushed the transmission at 65K. The transmission broke down at 124K. I have never pulled or towed anything with the car. I was surprised, called in to GM Canada customer service to complain and was told by a manager that regular car maintenance at the dealership means nothing and will not elongate the life of the car. What had happened was an expected mechanical failure and is due to bad luck! Sorry, you are on your own and the dealership that repaired my car gave me an excellent deal and I should be happy. I just could not believe my ears and after all the expensive maintenance as recommended by GM at a GM dealership, it does not elongate the life of a car and GM Buick transmission is made to last only 120K?!
I really enjoy my car. It is really wonderful, works well, and gets everything done. It was quite easy to pick out. Buick is wonderful because they care about their customers and will help you find the car that meets all of your needs. I have a radio, television, and air bags in the front and back seats of my car. These came with a family plan that was no extra charge, just for safety. I found this to be really awesome and convenient since I have children and am generally transporting kids from school and such so it helps. Also, I got an upgraded sunroof for the summertime and it works amazing! It opens automatically with a small button that I have in the drivers seat so I dont have to fiddle with the roof while I am driving when I am in need of fresh air. And I love that this car has so much room and space for my family, kids, and even friends of friends of friends! Everyone can fit and we can carpool.
I have had to replace 4 window regulators! The windows just stopped working without any warning. Theyve been very expensive! There needs to be a recall on them and refund customers.
2011 Buick Enclave - I purchased this car new in August of 2010. Beginning December 2012, I have had it in the shop 10 times. The following items have broken down: water pump, passenger A/C temp actuator, memory seat motor, steering gear replaced, shift control and actuator, both front lower control arm bushings, brake vacuum booster, crank shaft seal, bad engine mount and the rear temperature control head which burned my daughter. The rear temperature control head that was replaced still gets so hot it could burn you. I was told there is nothing more that can be done. They suggested I turn down my interior lighting. Thats not going to happen. I am so disappointed in Buick.
I purchased a Buick LaCrosse Flex Fuel vehicle and have been having issues with my fuel system since using E85 gas. I was told that I could use regular gas or E85 because its Flex Fuel. I had my fuel pump replaced, had to have my fuel drained, lines cleaned and because of the E85 gas I used Im still having issues. The dealership advised me not to use E85 again. GM has a bulletin out since Jan. 30, 2017 saying E85 is damaging these vehicles but REFUSED to help me when I filed a complaint. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM GM. They will not back up their product ESPECIALLY since this is a mistake on their part! I will be contacting legal help concerning this matter.
While driving my 2014 Buick LaCrosse to exit from the interstate, I let off the gas to reduce speed and when attempting to pick up speed, car would not accelerate at all but the start button was green. There was no jerking or shaking or any noise from the auto. Turned on my hazards, placed car in park, turned the car off and restarted. The engine light did not come on and car worked as normal. Not sure what happened but wanted to place the incident on record.
I have a 2014 Buick Regal. This morning I took it to the dealer because there it was a message on the car regarding the power steering. They changed the car battery cause they said that was the reason of the message. I just want to let people know that I previously had a brand new Buick Lacrosse 2013 that I changed for this Regal and that it gave me the same problem with the battery in less than 2 years. Im not a mechanic specialist but how it is possible that 2 different brand new cars are exactly giving the same problem? It means that the manufacturer it is using a very low quality batteries on their cars to reduce their costs. I was thinking to buy a Lacrosse again but I will think it three. What a shame because I really like Buick. However, I recognize that the service at the dealer is extremely good. The guys over there are awesome, excellent attention. Thank you guys!
Anyone having rodent/mice problems? Well, apparently the auto industry in attempt to go green has put SOY in their wiring, making your wiring very attractive to mice. My vehicle is currently in shop being repaired, although I have comprehensive coverage and the damage is covered, however, I have to the $500 deductible. Does anyone know who I take up the $500 deductible with, I dont feel I should have to pay this whatsoever. Ive read several class action lawsuits being taken against Honda right now for the same reason, I have not seen anything for Buick/GM as of yet. Any advice would be great, thanks in advance!
The variety of models is very selective and the colors and the new designs are simply the best out there. The new safety features are one of the many reasons why I purchased Buick. The wide selection of new colors and new styles made my decisions so much easier. The dealership sales people were extremely helpful and this made my shopping experience a great joy. Over the years Buick was really stepped up the overall look and design of their vehicles, and the new looks are extremely stylish and great looking. We can sit 6 people comfortable in my car. There is plenty of leg room and head room and no one is crammed up. The trunk space is wider and deeper and gives me the ability to put more in there.
Now that I know that the Buick Rendezvous is a money pit, I am certain that the dealer does not care about the quality and reliability of the cars it produces. I have sunk nearly 8,000 dollars into a 2002 Buick Rendezvous because I was locked into a car note and could not afford another car. Sad day when you want to buy American but the product is subpar to competitors. Not only that most of the owners of these cars dont even know that they will never be able to go more than 3 months without an expensive repair of some type, be it transmission, hub bearings, differential, cooling and heating, relays, window motors, power steering, etc., it goes on and on. I will never buy another Buick and hope others will take the time to research the product before they purchase this money pit. I love American products, I wish that the producers loved us enough to produce something that wont bankrupt you, or at least pretend you are listening. I have no transportation after paying 12,000 car note plus 8000 dollars + in repairs.
Stalling and not starting of 97 buick lesabre - I have watched the recalls and saw that they go back as far as my year but not the model. My one owner 97 was purchased from a Buick dealership 3 yrs ago with only approx.117,000 miles. I figured was going to last until I quit driving as Im 66. In the first 5 miles I drove, the check engine light came on. My sister who got the car for me was adamant it was fine when she drove home and dew places trying it out. She had to have them replace the battery before she got it. We took to a garage where the gas cap was replaced and the man said that was probably all it was. Light went off till filled up next day to return back to me home...right back on, was running fine so ignored it, drove 225 miles home. About 2 months later after having auto parts house check codes went off. Stayed about 1 month. The next time came on, different code showed up. Had towed in to shop after wouldnt start and they kept 2 days, said couldnt find anything wrong. Week later stranded me a second time ..so after waiting about 20 min it started up. Got home...son looked, checked all wires etc...said didnt see a problem. I drove back 225 miles. Back in July, got there - had to have water pump replaced and the air quit working on. Hi fan only works on med. Now for 3 yrs I have had nothing but problems. Replaced starter because after having to bump start to try get going, it went out. Wires plugs all small stud trying to fix, nothing has worked. The car cut completely off while going down highway at 55, 6 months after got it. Now happens about once every few weeks, nothing works at all. Cant steer and so afraid someone will hit me trying to get off road. This car is only transportation I have and on fixed income. Cant afford another one, still owe my sister about 1000 dollars on it. She pd $3500.00 at Buick dealership in Statesville N.C for it. She just recently had to replace thermostat and needs serpentine belt which I have but not on yet. The other thing is the not starting when you drive. Make a stop or 2 then wont crank....have to wait at least 12 - 15 min. Sometimes you get lucky and it started. Most of time you have a cycle 1st try 12 min....2nd, wait 15 - 20 more min, then wait full 20 min again. Usually 3rd time after waiting up to as much as an hour she cranks...but has had to be let sit in yard at home for several hours before will start. This is serious and needs to be addressed, this car is dangerous and needs to be on the switch problem recall. Im at my wits end with nothing to fix it with. Yes it was a used car but supposedly according to your dealership was a heck of a car. Nothing but worry and problems, since Ive had it Im stuck. Please help me before I become one of your GM statistics.
This car dont have a lot of the update in them. It has no backup image and is not good on gas. Hard to find parts for the car, too, but the car drive smoothly and is easygoing, too. And its good for the space inside the car. You can set 4-5 people in the back and its got very Nice seats, heats very quickly, cool off very fast. Theres lots for room in the trunk, too, so its great for travel, and it is nice looking on the outside. Its very good quality.
Bought a 2016 Buick Verano for my son. Monday morning he was coming home going 65 miles per hour. The car stalled or completely turned off. He managed to get to the emergency lane. Today is January 4, 2017. This car was purchased on November 29, 2016. His first payment isnt due till January 13. He called the dealership. They wanted him to bring it in the next day. I talked to the salesman. They got him a loaner car for Monday. They called me today and said there were no codes and they took it out to drive and everything is OK. Well its not OK for me. They have no idea whats wrong. The GM rep at the dealer told me the same thing Ive seen on other sites. No codes no problem it drives OK. Finally this car had 29 miles on it when bought it. Now has just under 300 and the first payment hasnt been made yet. My son is worried about driving the car. I hope this isnt a lemon.
Just love how so many different modules, colors, interior and options from young to older generation. The appearance is very classy for the young and hip to the soccer mom style and keeps up with the technology changing so fast. I was given options on how I wanted the interior of my car to be, the texture of the seats to the colors of the rugs. It’s spacious and has plenty of room for my growing family and the dogs. My son’s Caraway fit perfectly, has leg room and lots of room in the back seat.
I bought my 2002 Buick Rendezvous in 2006. It had 43,000 miles on it. Not bad for a four-year-old car, or so I thought. The guy who sold it to me said it was their second car and did not use it much. I later think that he did not use it because it is not worth it! Within a month of purchasing the car, the drivers side window went out. I had that replaced, no biggie, I understand there are costs with cars. Then a year later, the air conditioner went out. I live in California and with temps over 100 degrees in the summer, my small children and I need air. The repair was just under $1,000. That repair lasted a year and a half. The air went out again. However, shortly after the air went out, so did the engine! To have the heads replaced, it was $3,500. I contacted Buick directly at that time and got the Oh, well, sorry you are having problems, but thats not our problem response. In paying for the engine work, I could not afford the work on the air again. So, I have been without air and just try to drive as little as possible when it gets hot outside.I get my regular oil changes and took it in for that last week and was told I have an oil leak now. There goes another $500 dollars. Well, that is what they quoted me. I need a few weeks to come up with the extra cash. But once they get under the hood, we will see how much more they find. If I could stop paying for repairs long enough to save a little money, I would definitely be using it for a down payment on a non GM vehicle! But GM has made it practically impossible. I have since read about recalls that Buick has had over the years on this car. However, I have never been contacted over a single one of them! The car is now 10 years old and only has 112,000 miles on it. The reason, because it spends more time broken than it does running. Highly unhappy with Buick, I will never buy one again and will make sure my children do not either!
After buying Buick for many, many years, I bought a Honda - I hated it. It was like driving in a tin can. After one year, I sold it and went back to a Buick - it was a costly mistake.
I purchased a 2019 Buick Enclave $32,000 in March 2020. My vehicle has now been in the shop for 5 months with airbag problems and Buick can not give me a date of when the part will be shipped and my car repaired. Every week the advisor said she can not give a date and no updates. I have only driven my new car for four months, Im still making the high payments, paying the insurance etc. I ask them to buy the car back and they refused. I would never recommend Buick and they do not care about their customers.
I really enjoyed all of the variety of cars that were available to me. Not only are there different companies of cars but Buick always seemed right. They have many kinds of cars that will fit any different lifestyle. Im always amazed how many compliments I get on my Buick. It looks so snappy and elegant. I like all of the features like the sunroof and the seat warming because it makes me feel superior. It was really great that I was able to choose what I wanted from the car. I am planning on having a bigish family. I wanted to have enough room in my new car to be able to grow into. And I think that Buicks passenger capacity is just right for me.
I never thought I would drive a Buick but after getting behind the wheel, the rest is history! It floats when you drive, is super roomy, repairs have pretty much been maintenance and I cant believe how easily it maneuvers this vehicle cam turn on a dime! Over after driving and owning numerous different vehicles from Nissan, Toyota, and Dodge I have to say this one is my all time favorite.
I liked my car and I recommend this style. It holds six people very comfortably. It has two door with nice car seats, seatbelt, nice stereo, compact, gas saver and great motor. Buick also has very modern cars in variety of colors. They are always coming out with new styles.
We have a 2007 Buick with 25,000 miles on it and the GM engineers cannot figure out what is wrong. First we took the car to Richard Kay Superstore in Anderson, SC. They had it for 3 weeks, told me they called the GM engineers but never documented it. Gave us the car back, said it was fixed but the engine light came on within one hour driving the car home. Called the dealer back, they offered no solution, left us very disappointed. We decided to try the local Chevrolet dealer, Sonic Chevrolet in Walhalla, SC. They had the car for two months, replaced a number of sensors. Contacted the GM engineers, started a issue ticket with them. Sonic Chevrolet took the time with us and said if the light comes on again there are only two things left, one that will cost $700.00 and the other that costs $1,000.00. They said the engineers told them they have never seen this happen before.Well after two days the light is back on. Since we have already spent $1,000 on parts and another $650 on new tires. I should say we originally purchased the car new and always had it serviced by GM dealers and mechanics on a regular basis. We will be bringing the car back to Sonic Chevrolet in Walhalla SC. With this issue, one needs to ask, why would anyone want to buy a GM vehicle when the computer or engineers cannot find out why the engine light is on? Seems to me that if there was no computer you wouldnt need all of the sensors and there wouldnt be a issue with a engine light, and I wouldnt have had the car tied up for three months or had to spend the money on top of the regular service we had done.
Been fighting Buick for 4 months to get them to reimburse me for known fuel system issues just because I didn’t take to Buick dealer (I don’t trust the Buick dealership in the town where the car wouldn’t start). Ridiculous how bad the communication has been! Family has been loyal Buick family for over 60 years but we will never own another Buick and we will discourage any family members or friends from ever purchasing a Buick!
I purchased this car almost 2 months ago and have driven it all of 4 days. During that time the vehicle shut off and lost power while I was going 75 to 80 miles per hour on a freeway. I almost got in a horrible accident each time. I took the car back to the dealers so they could figure out what was going on. After having the car for almost 30 days, they call me and say they have no idea what is making it do that. Told me I need to pick up the vehicle and release the loaner and want me to drive this unsafe vehicle! They are crazy!
This car is meeting all my needs. It is just the right size, sit high up and not too large but big enough and lots of colors to choose from. I like that it has on Star and XM radio. However, the back windshield wiper does not lift up to get the glass totally clean and this really bothers me a lot. They need to figure a way to fix this issue. But other than that, the Buick Encore was the most comfortable car I test drove. It also easily seats five people comfortably. It handles well in all types of weather and is good on gas.
I purchased a 2011 Buick Regal CXL literally 73 days ago. It only had 56,000 miles and came with power train warranty. After acceleration issues on the highway I have been informed that I should also have a manufacturers warranty on the vehicle. It spent about a week in the service department at the dealership. I purchased it at for a cosmetic piece, they agreed to fix when I purchased it. During that time they were supposed to inspect my current problem which was that the check engine light came on while on the highway and I could not fully accelerate. Their conclusion was that they could find nothing wrong. So about 24 hours later on my trip back on the highway, the check engine light went back on again. Not only could I not fully accelerate, I could not get the vehicle to go into gear at all. The gear shift would blink when I put it into drive but would not go. I had to get towed to the dealership which I had to pay $100.00 for. And now after getting my vehicle back yesterday afternoon (after two weeks) and being told it was a system update that needed to be done and all was well, I found myself once again on the highway with a check engine light and not able to fully accelerate. I was able to coast home obviously under the speed limit but I have called the dealership where I bought the vehicle and tried two different 800 numbers that I have and cannot find anyone jumping out of their seats to try and fix my car. Needless to say I am displeased and concerned. I just want my vehicle running correctly and safely and want to feel good about this purchase. And I would love some assistance in making this happen!!!
Buick offers a variety of sleek yet safe luxury vehicles that are guaranteed to leave you with leg room and trunk space, even in the smallest sedans. This car can hold up to six people comfortably because there is a secret seat between the driver and the passenger. You could fit three car seats in the back, though it would leave you limited room for diaper bags. This car has a modern design that is not too flashy. It is equipped with radio and cruise controls on the steering wheel, so you never have to take your eyes off the road, and a day/night sensor for the rear view mirror so that glare is less of a problem. You can upgrade and customize to include a moonroof, driver memory key sets, and a variety of other comfort features including radio and interior fabric, as well as screens and gps.
Buick does not have too many models, which might be a good thing, since you dont get confused. And the models cover most of what you really need. It was white and actually the biggest car I have ever driven. The interior is pretty roomy with three sets of safe belt in front seat, so I guess it can take three people. Never seen this in other cars. It is a sedan holding six people. This is the only car I have seen with such high capacity. Although maybe you need some pretty slim passengers.
I purchased a 2011 Buick Enclave with 35,000 miles on it a year and a half ago. First 3 months I had it the transmission went and needed new brakes. Its been in dealership 2 more times with a squeaking noise that steering wheel makes. Both times I was told it was fine. Now its back at the dealership because it suddenly wouldnt start. When I finally got it started a message appeared stating that engine only has half power. Not to mention that as you are slowing down from a speed of about 50 mph the front end feels like it is skipping. Guess I will be told that is nothing either. Each time I am without my vehicle for days. Guess I should have kept my Honda Pilot.
Have had a problem with my 2002 Buick LaSabre Limited for months and had it in the the Garage down the street from me and now at Palm Chev in Ocala, Fl. When driving this vehicle down the road, a red light comes on and then a beep beep, and it stops. This has become a safety hazard and after 5 times and 4 new sensors, its still doing the same thing. I am wondering if someone higher up could be contacted to see if there is something the dealer has missed. They have had my car now for 3 days and nothing shows up on the computer, and when they drive it nothing happens. I have spent over 1700.00 getting this car right and now I am afraid to take it out on the road anymore. It have around 50,000 miles on it and is a beautiful riding auto but I would like to find somebody who knows something about this problem. Can anyone advise me as to who to contact?
The car has enough space and enough room. The passenger side is very comfortable, easy access to get in and out. No trouble with leg room and very relaxing. It rides smoothly and offers phone space and phone cord. The appearance is pretty, in a pretty beige color, and looks as if it was brand new and in good condition. No distinctive scratches or marks on the car. The color is shiny, and the inside has a very nice, good looking interior. The upgrades are nice since my stepfather did some of his own work and contributed to the car to see if anything needs to be done or worked on, which is a good thing.
I purchased a 2010 Buick Enclave CXL. This car is the most unreliable car I have ever owned by FAR. The steering column has been replaced twice, the car has leaked water into the passengers side cabin, and then the car leaked water again due to the sunroof rails and caused my Bose amplifier ($1000 to replace) to burn up. Today the wave plate for the transmission is gone ($3500) replacement. Apparently the wave plate is a consistent issue with any of the GM products but they have refused a recall. Also, the air conditioner will now blow in all vents except for the front blowers. Apparently an evaporator issue. I will never purchase a GM product again. It doesnt matter how beautiful a car is if you cant drive it because it is always in for repair. The scary and irresponsible fact is that the steering column and wave plate issues are very dangerous for the families driving the car. GM should take responsibility for their faulty parts and recall both. I contacted three different people at GM to discuss the steering column issue and they stated that because I didnt purchase the vehicle brand new that they wouldnt assist me. The car had 68000 miles on it when I bought it. I contacted them with 69,000 miles.
The Buick Rendevous is very dependable, durable, and comfortable for long car journeys. The car is very roomy with lots of space to not feel claustrophobic. In addition there are plenty of seats, vents for air, and windows to individually control. All the electronics work and function for my needs with nothing I dont know how to use. However, Im not a huge fan of the blind spots in the car as Im sure design wise could have been avoided a bit more. I also wish that the car would have more cup holders in it. I believe there are only 2 for a car that is able to seat up to 5. Lastly, I wish my model had a truck door that could open and close on its own so putting bags and groceries in the car would be easier. Other than that, I like the size of the car being bigger to be able to carry lots of things and match equal in size to other cars on the road. I liked the fact that for a bigger SUV, this car gets great gas mileage as I drive long distances often.
There are many different kinds of Buicks. Personally I like the less compact and smaller kind, but theres something for everyone. Buick has continued to make many different and great models of cars. The variety is my favorite thing about them, honestly. The appearance is one of my favorite things, too. The look of the car is what first made me want it. It was the perfect color and the perfect size, my ideal car. Its a very roomy car. Big enough for my Great Dane and my very petite friend. I would recommend it to a friend or somebody car shopping. I think the options could be better when it comes to upgrading though. But I cant complain much because Ive seen worse.
Buick commercials joke about the lines new and sleek look but the appearance is no joke. My car is a showstopper and I love seeing it parked outside stores. It offers a wide variety of models, offering a good fit for any family looking for a bigger car or retirees looking for classy elegance. It has plenty of space for my bulky car seats and wider passengers! Good trunk space too. Car seat and groceries fit, a big win in this moms book! Various upgrade and personalization options include sunroof and leather. You name it and you can get it in your new Buick. The extra touches show how Buick goes the extra mile for customers.
I own a 2012 GMC Enclave and I have the same problem with the timing chain. The problem is not with the timing chain but rather with the motor. Every model of GMC auto that has this motor has the same problem. After several conversations with the executive customer service department I came to the conclusion that they will not acknowledge this problem unless we force them to. If everyone that has experienced this problem begin by writing unto their state consumer protection dept we can begin to put pressure on the company to acknowledge the problem. If this does not work then there are other steps we can take.
Buick has a very large variety of models from cars to suvs. A great addition would be trucks!!! However Buick offers great vehicles at an affordable price. I have yet to see a vehicle made by Buick that was not modeled to please the eye. While Im not fond of the Riviera many people seem to love them. Buick makes very roomy vehicles. In the Century that I had 6 people could ride comfortably while 5 could ride luxuriously. The cars are very roomy and the dubs are even roomier. Buick offers many upgrade and customization packages. I had many upgrades on my second Buick and the upgrades didnt impact the price that much.
We got a used car from Billion in Bozeman, MT and we asked them to fix the door locks. They said all they had to do was put a fuse in. But when we could not get them to work from two month, we had someone check it out. It was found that the fuse was not working. When they pulled out the fuse, it was a 20-amp fuse and not a 15-amp fuse. We tired a new fuse, and it blew it out as soon as we hit the button. Then we took the car to Beaverhead Motors in Dillon, MT and they check it out more and found the wiring was all melted together. When we asked Billion auto group they help with it, they said no and that they would not help. We had a lot of Buicks in the past and have liked them, but with the way Billion was with us, we will not have anymore Buicks or GMC cars or trucks.
I have taken my Buick Regal turbo 2011 in for repairs 19 times. The serpentine belt is squeaking again so that will be 20 times. I also have a suspension light on which they report will be a 1000 dollar repair. The lemon law gave me a small amount of cash but I think Buick should have replaced this car. It all started with 2000 miles on it. It also had a cracked turbo which needed to be replaced. The dealership has been rude and horrible. I will never buy a GM product again.
This brand has so many different models to choose from, and so many luxurious styles for its wide variety of consumers. Buick is a brand that is loved the whole way around. This brand has a very distinct cloud of features that make the Buick stand out. It also has front facing features that make it look sad as you walk away from driving. Its so cool. Buick comes with a lot of space for any situation, whether its family, friends or just ring in general. Making upgrades or even receiving them from this brand makes having a Buick well worth it in the end. This is why I believe a lot of consumers choose Buick.
I like the look and feel of the Buick Rendezvous. It was in a price range that I could afford. I think it was a good choice and its very comparable other models but I do like a lot of the features that this car has. I have a fairly large family and the Rendezvous offered the space that we needed to travel comfortably. With 3 kids space is important. One important feature that I like is it easily accessible for my husband and I to use because hes taller than I am and the seats are just comfortably for both of us. I think I would have preferred 3 row seating instead of two and for some reason by Side mirrors seem to be bigger than most cars. The body of it is big and I prefer it to be a little smaller. But other than that Im very happy with the purchase.
They mostly have big cars. I like big cars but a few smaller vehicles would be really good to choose from. Other than that I like the car. I really do like the overall big professional look. It looks nice and I feel it runs well too, includes a ton of features as well. High passenger capacity and good storage for groceries, and I think its really good for traveling far and Im really satisfied. Its awesome that I can hold so much.
Buick has basically only cars and CUVs, not a variety of either. But what they do have they are good at. However, they are missing several models of cars that seem comparable to others. Cadillac had the ultra luxury space, so it makes it unclear exactly what Buick is going for. We purchased the LaCrosse and were very happy with the appeal overall. The color options were excellent and the curves were attractive. Overall the car had a modern, sleek, expensive look. Several personalization options were excellent, specifically some of the technology options. However, I feel that the Buick is lacking some of the more innovative safety features that other vehicles offer as options. While it doesnt have any huge passenger vehicles, it carries the popular and necessary options that carry between 5 and 8 people, which fits most families.
Buick Century has been an extremely reliable vehicle, and the only car we have owned in the last sixteen years. We have driven it mostly in town, but have also taken it on several road trips. We like the style, shape, and exterior design of this vehicle, as well as the comfortable, easy, smooth ride. It has a roomy interior, as well as a very large trunk space. It also gets super gas mileage. While its our favorite car to date, we are not too thrilled about the quality of the car radio as it has aged - the speakers have become quite fuzzy and the volume will not hold steady. Also, a compact disk drive would be nice.
This car offers steering wheel volume control, electronic adjustable mirrors, leather seats, and plenty of leg room. I would recommend this LE Buick LE Sabre to family and friends. Its a good value for the money! Its a pretty casual looking car. Its beige, and isnt very flashy at all. It is roomy, and it would make a great family car. Overall, its an attractive looking ride! It can be upgraded and personalized, but really not all that much. Its pretty much what you see is what you get! It is a very spacious family car. Its leg/set room is its number one feature. It is great for people who are tall! Everyone is my family has long legs, so its a great fit!
The Buick Skylark is like a sedan and sports car blend. Buick has been in business for many decades. I myself prefer the classic Buicks however the new styles are just as elegant. Buicks are conservatory priced and easily outclass more expensive car manufacturers. Buicks are classic sedans. The Skylark is a 2 door hard body sedan and is fast as a rocket on 4 wheels. For the passenger’s capacity, there are six seatbelts but you better hope everyone is very, very thin otherwise the driver will not have any elbow space to turn the steering wheel without breaking the ribs of whoever is unlucky enough to be riding in the front center seat. I would definitely recommend Buick to my children and grandchildren.
Be driving down the road and the radio just stops playing and the touch screen will not work, dont know what to do. Called the dealership waiting to see if its covered.
I purchased this brand new 2019 TourX and drove it home in March of 2019. Within a month I notice the paint job was not holding up. I don’t live on a dirt road, but saw many stone chips. The dealership ended up repainting the hood. I’m really concerned about the topcoat on this vehicle. My paint is actually stained from a maple trees droppings. This was in a small but high traffic road where street parking is the parking of choice. I have never had anything like this happen. I’ll be going back to the dealership to see what their explanation might be on this. Has anyone else dealt with this paint job disappointment? Thanks.
I have a 2008 Buick Enclave, which I thought was the perfect mid-size SUV for my 3 children and I. Needing more space, I traded in a more reliable vehicle in order to purchase it. However, my vehicle has caused me nothing but grief and $$$. Today 6/2/15 I took it to the dealer again at Fremont Buick because my air conditioner stopped working about 3 weeks ago (I live in the place with the drought, California). I first reported hearing a hissing noise last December and was told that nothing was wrong, but they did say that I needed to replace my rack & pinion and that the right axle was leaking. I spent $1,000.00 on that repair. Come March, before a road trip to Southern CA from Northern CA, I took my vehicle in again to ensure that all was well (it would feel like the car wanted to cut off at random times and the hissing noise still was happening). I was told again that the boot axle was leaking and also to replace the same rack and pinion. Umm, I just had that repaired 3 months ago?! They assured me that it was under warranty and fixed it again, now for free claiming that it must have been a defective part sent. They also told me that my timing cover needed to be replaced and was leaking. I did not elect to have that work done and didnt even understand what that meant since they said I could indeed drive to San Diego fine. Now for todays repairs needed: Timing cover plus water pump (leaking) $3,200.00, rear evaporator (leaking) $1,140.00 and power steering rack $2,079.00 for a grand total of $6,419.00. I still owe about $12,000 on the car! I just sat at work fighting back the tears... What a waste of money? In addition, I kept all services/maintenance up to date and none of this is my fault. Its not even normal wear and tear on models from the last decade according to an outside mechanic. I did purchase my car certified pre-owned from the Chevrolet GM dealership. So I decide to google for recalls... none! Google for complaints/issues with Buick Enclave and I see that tons of owners are having the same 3 issues that I am having with my vehicle. Im sure that GM is aware but for us we all simply have lemons. I work hard for my money and am a divorced mother of 3... THIS IS UNFAIR!!! SOMEONE HELP ME. I cant afford $7,000.00 in repairs for a faulty design that is not my own fault. I called GM and was transferred to the rudest senior advisor who I then ended up complaining on to a different supervisor. Guess the rep that I was transferred to is beyond annoyed with us whining customers calling daily with our gripes about safety & expensive repairs. PLEASE HELP A.S.A.P. Today I paid $160.00 which was the fee for them to tell me what was wrong. As an adult woman, standing there paying at the cashier holding my three-year-old daughters hand, tears began to fall from my eyes. These are truly widespread issues and GM is doing nothing about it. In addition, there has been no media coverage whatsoever. They have to be exposed, for these vehicles are leaving entire families unsafe!
I love that they offer a wide variety of models to choose from as well as seating options for someone with a family that can seat 6 or a single person who isnt concerned with seating. They are equipped with current technology. From satellite radio, seat warmers, back up camera. You have many options, from basic to fully loaded with all the gadgets. The vehicles are reliable for the price. Stylish but not overly flashy. The interior is sleek, very sturdy and quality made. Then vehicles are very comfortable to drive during long distance travel. The seating is spacious and doesnt feel cramped in the back seat.
My Buick LeSabre has been a stable car. In the past couple of years that I have owned it, I have purchased a brake line, 2 new tires, 2 front end ball-joints, brand new radiator and oil changes. It is comfortable, runs fairly well, four-door, good for family, fairly easy on gas and get good mileage. However, the whole underneath is completely rusted out, which causes a great deal of problems such as the brake line busted and the wheel bearings broke completely off. But all and all its a decent car that gets me here to there.
Let me start by saying that up until now I have enjoyed my Enclave, and was looking forward to buying a newer model but after today I will never buy a Buick again. I got in my car Christmas Eve to go to work and found my headlight pointing down only casting light 10 feet in front of the vehicle. I called the dealership and made an appointment only to find out the entire headlight assembly needs to be replaced at a cost of $1753.00 that’s right almost 2 thousand dollars for one headlight, so I called corporate saying in so many words, Sorry youre on your own.You would think that a part as expensive as a new transmission might have the warranty cover such a ridiculously expensive part as long as the drivetrain. Alas no. So of course not knowing if the other one is going to go in six months I would not in good conscience ever recommend buying this vehicle due to the cost of just maintaining it’s drivability. Save your money buy the Acura with more power and reliability just for your own peace of mind when a headlight on the vehicle can put you in the poor house.
I have been very happy with my Buick Regal, however, it costs quite a bit to have repairs done at the dealership.
I have a 2011 Buick Regal that I bought in 2013 with low miles. Transmission went out at 61,000 miles and the repair bill was $2800.00 plus rental car cost. Two months later it went out again and is now in the shop again for transmission failure. The previous work was guaranteed but they are having trouble fixing the problem and I have once again incurred rental expenses. The shop is well known and they state that Buick puts in cheap transmissions. I contacted Buick by email and got no response. So I will not be purchasing another Buick and would advise the same for you.
2010 buick enclave - After just 4 and a half years, the paint on the heater knobs are chipping off. I take extra care of my car, and for this to happen after the warranty expires is disappointing. The peeling paint on the dashboard buttons makes my $48,000 car look cheap. Oh wait, it is cheap. Buick Dealership cant fix this and have basically told me too bad. I will not buy another Buick product.
This car was the first model produced in this series. That said, it has quite a few problems. It consumes quite a bit of oil, as I am finding myself adding a quart of oil at least every two weeks, on average. Before realizing this, I had to replace the timing chains after the first 75000 miles, which is unfortunate.
I have had nothing but trouble with my 2009 Buick Enclave. The water pump went out and the power steering pump went out. The fuel pump is now going out. Everyone I get gas it wont start. The front struts went out. The air bags in the front has only worked part time. The timing is off. Its like it has been one problem after another. I have paid so much out in repairs and still have more repairs to do on it. It keeps throwing more and more codes every time I drive it. I cant seem to get rid of it because of all the repairs still needed and I cant get it paid down because Im spending too much for repairs. At this time I owe twice what the car is worth due to the condition it is in. I Will Never Ever Buy Another Buick.
I recently purchased a 2012 Buick LaCrosse AWD. I traded in a 2008 Chevrolet Impala LTZ. After driving the Buick for several months now, I wish I had the Impala back. The Buick is a beautiful car with a huge defect. GM has designed and programmed the 6-speed automatic transmission to shift at over 5,000 RPM. At the high RPM, the engine noise is very noticeable. Perhaps the worst effect is that the high RPM sucks gas and the car gets nowhere near the advertised mileage. The Buicks engine has as much, if not more power, than the Impala so the high shift points are completely unnecessary. They will result in higher engine and transmission wear, and they are killing the gas mileage. I am seeing growing complaints from other Buick LaCrosse owners, but when I contacted Buicks Customer Service about the problem, they blew me off saying the car is performing normal. They wouldnt admit the other complaints, and refuse to discuss any remedy. When entering the highway and accelerating to highway speed, the transmission only uses three of the six speeds before reaching the speed limit. I choked when I heard the new Chevrolet Cruze TV commercial say, With the 6-speed transmission, it allows for lower shift points. If this is the way GM is going to treat loyal customers, then its time for me to check out Toyota and Honda. I dont know how Buick avoided the Gas Guzzler Tax with this vehicle. Someone must have lied to EPA.
Within two years of owning this vehicle (2014 Buick Verano) we noticed what appeared to be paint looking dull on the hood, roof and trunk lid. The change was gradual and now there is no top coat left - did anyone else experience this with their Buicks? Our car is black. We do not live near the ocean.
In 3/2012 I had to replace the intake manifold gasket, heat upstream sensor, oil pressure switch, engine oil because of engine coolant leak that could have blown up the engine and then just today 7/16, 2014 it leaked again and I had to pay to replace the water pump and flush out the dex coolant totaling $1,142.25 in repairs because of it. I had to do other repairs not sure if the coolant caused it. This has affected my credit worthiness and resale value of vehicle.
I own a 1998 Buick Skylark. The vehicle had 24,000 miles on it when I purchased it. It now has 117,000 miles on it. Two years ago, while I was driving the car, it just stopped on me. I was told that a camshaft was broken and that it would be easier to have the engine replaced instead of trying to fix the camshaft. I kept the vehicle maintained on a regular basis. I replaced at least 3 water pumps, 3 intake manifold gaskets, 2 EGR Valves, as well as other repairs. I didnt find out about the Dex-Cool recall until 2009 when the car stopped running. This explains why I had to replace water pumps, intake gaskets, and EGR valves so frequently. Is there any help for people like myself who cant afford to keep sinking money into cars in which the Dex-Cool product caused other problems?I am without an automobile. I had the vehicle towed to a repair shop to have an engine installed but finding an engine with low mileage is next to impossible. The cost for a used engine with over 200,000 miles was $1,700. A rebuilt engine will cost $2,800. The blue book value of the vehicle is around $1,900 if its in excellent condition. The junk yard will probably give me about $100. The body of the car is in excellent condition. I have looked for used vehicles in the $1,500 to 3,000 price range and the mileage is considerably higher than the mileage on my vehicle or the vehicles history in general is in question or both.
I have a 2003 Buick LeSabre and the top of the front dashboard has warped and lifted up and the seam separated. It is owned by my elderly aunt, Mary Brunini. I am told that this could affect the operation of the front airbags. Its as if the problem was caused by the sun. but his car has always been garage kept. The car was pruchased brand new from Perrine Buic / GMC of Cranbury, NJ.I dont feel that we should have to pay for this repair. It is a manufacturers defect and there should be a recall. Another 2003 Buick Le Sabre owner on your site has complained about the same problem.Today, I sent an email to General Motors about this issue and named Perrine Buick as the dealer.
Never do anything like this, but if it saves someone going through the pain my family has, it is worth it. DO NOT PURCHASE A BUICK ENCLAVE. We were so proud of ours when we bought it, but have been so disappointed. Nothing but issues. Started with cracked transmission gear (which they DID fix). Then the front end issues began. Popping and rattling in the front end. Took it in and paid to have it fixed. Caused uneven wear on tires and had to replace those (and 17 tires arent cheap). Since then, have had front end done 4X!!! Finally a mechanic friend of the family told me to Google (Buick Enclave front end issues) and could not believe what I found. Evidently there are known issues that Buick has decided NOT to stand behind. Several of the complaints said that their repairs usually lasted 3k-5k miles and then came right back (at $1k-$2.5k a pop). Why do I still have it you ask? Because this issue is so known that the dealers I would like to trade with (definitely not Buick), comment on the issues. Dont take my word for it, Google it for yourselves!
