The M5 Touring is crafted for those who refuse to choose between dynamic driving excitement and practical versatility.

Design & Exterior Identity

The exterior of the 2026 BMW M5 Touring strikes a distinctive balance between performance aggression and functional elegance:

Wide, assertive stance: A broader track and muscular wheel arches signal performance intent while accommodating wider tires for grip and control.

Sleek wagon silhouette: The extended roofline and larger cargo opening give the Touring its practical identity without diluting the sporty proportions.

M-specific details: Aggressive front air intakes, sculpted side skirts, a bold rear diffuser, and quad exhaust outlets communicate the car’s performance DNA.

Aerodynamic enhancements: Carefully integrated spoilers and body contours help manage airflow and reduce lift at higher speeds, contributing to stability.

Visually, the M5 Touring maintains the refined aesthetics expected of a premium BMW while broadcasting its performance capabilities.

Powertrain & Performance

At the heart of the 2026 M5 Touring lies a high-output engine and advanced drivetrain engineered for dynamic excellence:

Potent high-performance engine: A powerful turbocharged engine delivers abundant horsepower and torque, providing exhilarating acceleration across the rev range and confident power delivery in everyday use.

Sophisticated automatic transmission: A performance-oriented automatic gearbox provides rapid, seamless gear changes, enabling both nippy off-the-line throttle response and smooth highway cruising.

All-wheel drive dynamics: Intelligent all-wheel drive helps maximize traction and stability in various conditions while enhancing cornering confidence.

The result is supercar-like responsiveness and acceleration, yet with the smooth ease expected from a touring-capable vehicle.

Driving Dynamics & Handling

The 2026 M5 Touring’s chassis and suspension are tuned for sporty engagement without sacrificing comfort:

M-tuned adaptive suspension: A versatile suspension setup balances firmness for dynamic handling and compliance for daily comfort, adapting to driving style and road conditions.

Precise steering: Steering is communicative and direct, supporting driver confidence at low speeds and high speeds alike.

Performance braking system: Large, capable brakes deliver consistent stopping power and fade resistance, even under repeated hard use.

Chassis poise: Suspension geometry and tuning minimize body roll and support confident entry and exit through corners, while advanced stability systems assist without intruding on engagement.

The Touring remains agile and composed, even when the cargo area is in use, preserving the M5’s athletic character.

Interior Comfort & Practicality

Inside the 2026 M5 Touring, performance cues and premium comfort combine with everyday utility:

Sport seats with bolstering: Drive-oriented seats offer strong lateral support during spirited driving, while remaining comfortable for long journeys and daily travel.

Premium materials: High-quality leather, soft-touch surfaces, and refined trim elevate the cabin, striking a balance between performance focus and executive luxury.

Driver-centric layout: The cockpit puts key controls and performance data within easy reach, reinforcing connection between driver and machine.

Spacious cargo area: The touring body style provides generous cargo capacity, making it practical for luggage, gear, and everyday hauling — a significant advantage over traditional performance sedans.

In the M5 Touring, comfort and performance share the spotlight without compromise.

Technology & Connectivity

The 2026 BMW M5 Touring integrates modern technology to support convenience, safety, and performance feedback:

Digital driver display: A configurable digital cluster offers key performance data, driving information, navigation, and vehicle status in a clear layout.

Central infotainment system: A responsive touchscreen interface manages navigation, media, climate control, and vehicle settings, with intuitive menus and smart connectivity.

Smartphone integration: Wireless smartphone compatibility enables seamless access to calls, music, maps, and apps.

Performance feedback tools: Driver displays and interfaces provide detailed performance metrics such as acceleration, torque distribution, and driving mode configurations.

Technology in the M5 Touring enhances everyday usability and performance insight without overwhelming the driving experience.

Safety & Driver Assistance

The 2026 M5 Touring includes an extensive suite of safety and assistance features designed to boost confidence and reduce driver workload:

Adaptive cruise control: Helps maintain safe following distances and speed during long highway trips.

Lane-keeping systems: Support stability and positioning on sustained drives.

Automatic emergency braking: Adds mitigation support during sudden slowdowns.

Blind-spot monitoring: Enhances awareness during lane changes and in dense traffic situations.

Safety technologies operate seamlessly in the background, supporting both relaxed cruising and performance-oriented driving.

Strengths of the 2026 BMW M5 Touring

Supercar-level performance in a practical package: Explosive power and dynamic tuning make it thrilling to drive.

Versatile utility: Wagon cargo capacity and rear-seat space make it suitable for families and gear-centric lifestyles.

Premium interior: High-quality materials and technology create a refined, comfortable cabin.

Balanced dynamics: Suspension and steering tuning deliver precision and comfort in equal measure.

All-weather confidence: Performance-oriented all-wheel drive enhances traction and stability in varied conditions.

Trade-offs & Considerations

Ride firmness: Performance suspension tuning can feel firm compared with comfort-biased wagons or sedans over rough surfaces.

Fuel consumption: Powerful engines and dynamic driving can result in higher fuel use compared with mainstream wagons.

Premium ownership costs: Insurance, maintenance, and tires reflect the performance and luxury positioning.

Performance focus: While practical, its greatest appeal is to drivers who value sporty dynamics and handling in everyday use.

Who the 2026 BMW M5 Touring Is Best For

The 2026 BMW M5 Touring is ideal for drivers who:

Want supercar-like performance in a vehicle with practical cargo capacity.

Appreciate dynamic handling and sharp steering alongside everyday utility.

There is something so wrong in a car that has a guarantee of 50,000 miles and at 51,000 miles starts to break. My car has 62,000 miles and I have spent about $5,000 on repairs and I need to spend another $5,000 if I want to do everything that the house recommended. My guess is that BMW is learning from Detroits old book of how to go down.

2007 BMW M6 - The fastest lemon on earth: I bought a used 2007 BMW M6 with 20,500 miles in January 2012 from Dave Walter BMW of Akron, Ohio. I drove from Detroit to pick the car up. Upon driving home to stop for gas (This car averages 10 mpg of premium, for your information.), my father noticed the BMW emblem was gone on the front. Needless to say, driving off the lot without a BMW emblem they blew off was very irritating, to say the least. But the dealership was surprised and said they will mail me one to put on. (By that, I mean I had to have a dealership put another one on because I broke the tiny plastic trying to squeeze it on the holes on my first attempt.) Prior to me receiving the new emblem was day two where while driving, a warning light came on that said passenger restraint warning. Now, I was very pissed. And just as this had happened while driving, the screen just went blank and would not turn on for the navigation or iDrive system. Now, the dealer was confused and said, We will see if we can get a dealer closer to you to handle this. Well, after a few days, they called saying I will need to bring it back to them in Akron, Ohio. I am now really pissed. Its winter, so I just tell them when the weather breaks, Ill get it to them. About a month later, I have a friend in Toledo drive the car back to them which results in no M6 for 2 weeks. They fix it, I get my car back. One day, thats right one day, after I got it back, the light returned! Great Job repairing that! So, I now just tell them to send a transport to my house and pick this pig up. Im not adding more miles and gas money, because you didnt fix it the first time. They agreed.Another few weeks passed, and I got the car back. Wouldnt you know it, they left me with 1/10th of a tank, despite promising to have it cleaned and full (I had over half a tank before they took it.). So I think Ok, the worst is over, right? Wrong! While driving home in July, the car literally died while driving and a light stated increased battery discharge. And my screen died, and I could not change gears! I got home, and now, I am not even on speaking terms with the dealership as I have been so pissed about how they handle everything. I had to jump the car (New battery was installed when I bought the car.) and drive it around to try to recharge it. This worked temporarily, and the light cleared. 3 days after the power dying issue, lo and behold! The passenger restraint light is back to its usually warning position. I have now made up my mind to sell this car asap as I fear the worst. 6 days after this and one day after putting it up for sale, driving home from work, theres a warning engine malfunction (reduced power). Thats right, its now 500 horses. I honestly was scared. Oh, and I forgot the trunk wouldnt open. You had to use a key, and the center consoles locking mechanism made it where you couldnt open the center console. I have since traded this car in, but I want it to be known that this story is 100% true and actually longer and more depressing. But this was my shorthand version of this POS. Dave Walter BMW of Akron, Ohio. It should be shut down! They do not deserve any business, and I assure you they did nothing to try to help me out in any way. Do not ever buy a BMW. Dont even take one, if its given to you, because the repair costs will break your bank account!

My girlfriend drove her BMW 328I up from Florida on Sept. 24th, and when she got it here, she noticed that the window was down and would not roll up (motor broken). It was late at night, so we didnt want to leave the car out on the street with a window down in NYC. We called BMW Roadside Assistance and they had a tow truck company come pick up the car. Since it was late, they said they would take the car to their lot and then drop it off at BMW Dealership the following morning. The next morning, the tow company called us and said they dropped it off and it would be ready in a couple of days. We then called the BMW dealership when we thought the car would be ready, and they informed us that they never received the car nor had any information on the car. It turned out that the tow company wrecked the car, and they were trying to cover it up and fix the car themselves. They basically took the car to a chop shop in the Bronx and it looked like they were trying to replace parts of the car with aftermarket parts that were not BMWs. We went to the Bronx with the cops and had another tow truck come out and move the car to the BMW dealership. It has now been exactly 1 month and BMW has not even started working on the car yet. We filed claims with BMW Roadside Assistance and BMW Customer Service, and they never get back to us when we call to try and figure out what is going on. I have been getting the runaround from everyone I speak with and when I ask to speak to a supervisor, they say they have no other contacts they can give. The BMW dealership has tried to contact Roadside Assistance, and they are not even able to get a hold of them. Now the dealership wants to charge $85 a day for storage of the car. Meanwhile, weve been without a car this whole time and there is no end in sight on when the car will be fixed. At this point, Im not really sure what to do, or what legal action we should take. Any help you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like a tractor and it drives like one. Engine is struggeling under 3000 rpm and above it, the vibrations are so severe that you will think twice about driving above 60 miles per hour for extended periods of time. The Rotax engine is the worst engine I have ever driven. Good for your lawnmower but that,s it. And, in my opinion, not worthy of the BMW badge.Pro,s: it is reliable, cheap to maintain, and easy to handle.

I bought a 2009 BMW X5 4.8i V8 from my son-in-law who bought it new. The car had 37,000 miles on it when I bought it and now has 87,000 miles. Half of the mileage has been on 1000 mile trips. The car has been well maintained with all recommended services throughout the period. My wife and I are over 70 and do not drive the car aggressively. Here is my repair experience with this car. All but the first occurred after the 50,000 mile warranty expired: Air conditioner hose connection leaked refrigerant -- replaced hose. Headlight washer nozzle dropped off -- replaced nozzle. Plastic water overflow tank seam separated -- replaced tank. Vacuum pump leaked -- replaced vacuum pump. Oil leaked through several front engine seals and valve covers -- replaced seals. Burnt oil of 1 quart per thousand miles, through valve seals -- replaced valve seals. Vacuum leak through fuel pump activating engine/emission light -- replaced fuel pump. Total cost for these repairs was around $15,000 over 3 years. All of the repairs were done at BMW dealerships. (This, of course, was over and above normal maintenance like oil changes, adding oil, alignments, tires, brake pads, inspections, etc.) Fortunately, I had third party extended warranty coverage. The dealership mechanics told me these problems are common with BMW V8 engines. There are several reports on the web of these same problems. While BMW touts their engineering, they obviously dont engineer seals that lasts 100,000 miles. If you are considering a used BMW V8, count on $3,000 to $5,000 in repairs a year plus typical maintenance. By the way, I generally keep a car for 200,000 miles or more. The BMW is the priciest car I have owned. It also has had more repairs up to now than any of my other cars throughout their 200,000 mile life history. The car is a nice car to drive. However, given my experience, I cannot recommend a BMW. The problems I experienced had nothing to do with the the sophistication of the design. They were all basic part failures!

I got a lemon. This is the most expensive car I ever paid for. I had driven many different types of cars. So far this 2009 BMW 335i gave me so many troubles. My car is 19,500 miles and since December 2011, my car had been at the shop for 13 times. It’s in the shop again right now and I dont know when Im going to get it back. Its one problem after another. BMW advertised their cars as the ultimate driving machine, I think the quality of their cars had felt way below standard. There is nothing I can do about it since besides selling it. Dont bother to call their service manager or BMW of North America to waste your time. You will be going around in circles and you will find yourself angrier with gaining nothing. I had drove BMW for many years. Bottom line is, do not buy any BMW, the quality of their cars is not built like before.

Im a 19-year-old full time college student and full job worker. Im broke and I dont have money for anything besides my studies. Im on an extremely tight budget. Anyway one day Some guy contacted me from Craigslist since I posted my Honda for sale since I have been wanting to get rid of it and get something more decent since I have a professional job. He asked if I wanted to trade my 01 Honda Civic for his 1999 BMW 5 series. The pictures of the car were so beautiful and I said immediately, Yes! Can I see it? Where can we meet? And we met up 20 minutes later. I was alone (I know Im an idiot). He was w/ his baby and his girlfriend and he said he already had the same BMW sitting at home and he wanted a Honda for his GF because of the good gas mileage. I then test drove the Beamer and it didnt feel quite right, but I told myself, Oh well, Ill take it to a mechanic and Im sure its something minor. The guy who traded me didnt ask for cash on top which was sort of sketchy. All he said that was wrong was that it needed an oil change and power steering fluid, hence the check engine light on the dash. I come to find out that the BMW couldnt even start the second day I had it and it began to make this LOUD air noise when I would hit the gas. OMG, I was having an anxiety attack and immediately took it to a fair priced mechanic who works on marine and automotive here in Salem, Oregon. The Mechanic felt so bad for me I could see the sympathy in his eye. I basically told him the story and he couldnt stop staying how BMWs are pieces of ** and I should have never ever traded my perfect beat up Honda for it. I also came to find out that it would cost over 7 grand to repair the vehicle back to good condition since it had OVER 10 CODES or mechanical work needed to be done to it. Now my car still wont start because the battery died and I live alone and have no one to help me. Im broke as hell and I dont have money for ANYTHING not even to register it under my name so I get the title in hand to get rid of it.

I own a 2007 335i, which I purchased from BMW dealer, and always had it serviced by a BMW dealer. Around 35,000 miles I began having repeated problems with oil leaks, the service engine light would constantly come on and the engine wasnt performing properly. I was told that the codes just needed to be reset and that the problems were fixed. A few days later the check service engine light came on again. I went back to the dealership and was told it was the code for the fuel pump plausibility and all they had to do was to reset it with the software and it would be fine.A week later the same thing happened. This time around I asked them to take a look at the issue. I once again was told that the problem was fixed and that the codes just needed to be reset. The check engine light would come on regularly and I was always told the same thing - that it was due to the software update but the car had no issues.I took my car in to the dealership right before 50,000 miles and before the warranty expired to have an oil change and at that time I was told that the car had an oil leak and the fuel pump had to be replaced. They replaced it and reset the codes once again. I explained the car was not driving properly, as it would jolt and it wouldnt accelerate. The service rep said he would check on that and make the necessary repairs. I left the dealership and on my way home the service engine light came on once again. I went back to the dealership and was told they needed to reset the codes again.A few months later, I noticed the car was leaking oil and the engine was not running properly. The service engine light was also back on. I took it to the dealership and was told it was the fuel pump, and there was a problem with the turbochargers and engine. I was told it would not be covered under the warranty as the warranty had just expired. I had them do them complete the repairs as it was necessary. In less than 24 months, Ive had to have the fuel pump and oil gaskets replaced three times. The car went into limp mode as I was driving on a busy intersection and just turned off in the middle of traffic, putting my life as well as other drivers lives in danger. I was struck from behind by a van because the driver didnt anticipate me just stopping without warning. This a huge safety issue and BMW needs to be held accountable for withholding this information from customers. I had to have my car towed to the dealership and they refuse to warranty the defective items.I called BMW North America and spoke Leah in Customer Affairs and she informed me that it was up to the dealership if they wanted to apply the warranty or not. She said it is not up to the corporate office to make those decisions. I also demanded a copy of all my service maintenance records from the BMW dealership where I had the car serviced and they refused to provide them to me.I asked to speak to a supervisor and was transferred to Ross at BMW corporate office. I told him I wanted a copy of all my maintenance records from the SM BMW dealership emailed to me, as I couldnt go there in person but needed to the records to show proof that I had the fuel pump repaired numerous times. He told me he called over to the dealership and requested the records but they refused to email them to me and proceeded to say that they dont have to give me those records.I was beyond appalled that I would be treated that way, after all I had been through given they sold me a product with a manufacturers defect. I explained that the dealership was charging me over $5,500 for the fuel pump and oil gasket repair, yet I had already paid over $8,000 to have it repaired numerous times. The dealership refused to warranty the defective items. I am beyond disgusted with their lies, fraudulent practices and their sheer incompetence. Ive decided to retain legal counsel at this point.

All this is included in the class action suit they claim I have a engine leak. The engine is leaking because the valves are worn and need to be changed. I need help getting them to conform to the ccp. The people at BMW say I need to replace my engine at a cost of more than 15 thousand dollars and due to the mileage on my car 106 thousand they are on going to pay 4 thousand dollars. So I’m stuck paying more than the car is worth unbelievable. Don’t buy BMWs because it’s only a matter of time before your valves go bad as they use plastic parts throughout the engine.

IM lucky to be alive. What first began as a smell of fuel inside the car escalated to a strong smell of gas. After looking at the undercarriage of the vehicle, I discovered fuel leaking down the drivers side gas tank inches away from the hot exhaust. Tracking where the leak was coming from, I removed the passenger rear seat and discovered that the fuel pump plastic housing developed cracks all around, causing the fuel to escape below the passenger seat down the gas tank. The vehicle operates fine and there are no dash lights indicating that there are any failures of fuel. However, it seems the fuel has broken down the plastic housing of the fuel pump over time, resulting in an enormous loss of fuel when the vehicle is running. I am very glad I discovered this issue, which I believe is an enormous safety issue and consider myself lucky that I didnt catch on fire on my last drive. I will follow-up with BMWs hotline because I am certain there are other drivers that own the E90 series that may be having the same issue and hope NHTSA can put this on their bulletin and open an investigation on the serious issue. As far as BMW Coggin in Fort Pierce, FL, Richard ** politely kicked me out and told me he had an appointment with a doctor and did not even hear my issue out.

Im a long term BMW customer that took pride and enjoyment in driving BMW products. I have purchased 4 motorcycles and 2 cars. Sadly, I had the misfortune of purchasing a 2009 BMW 1300 GT (vin # **) with 11 pages of recall repairs. I purchased the bike from BMW of Oklahoma in 2010. The bike was a demo. I have found out that the dealer had stalling problems with the bike because in 01/23/2010 (6510 km) the shop worked on testing software. At time of purchase, I was not informed that the bike had a serious problem or that BMW had issued a Recall 09V471000 on the bike - Engine stalling could result in vehicle crash dated 12/04/2009. Remedy: BMW will notify owners and repair the motorcycle free of charge. BMW did not notify me of the recall. If I had been notified of the recall, I would never have driven the bike and would have gotten in touch with BMW.On 07/29/2011 (33234 km) I took the bike to Bobs BMW because the engine was stopping: again testing software. On 06/22/2013 (65734 km), while on vacation, I took the bike to Eurosport BMW of Asheville for the same problem: same repair. I did not ride the bike in 2014. I started having same problems again this year. While on vacation, I stopped at BMW dealer of Montreal on 07/08/2015 (38493 miles). They said the problem was not software but the stepper (idle) motor and airbox. On way home, I stopped at Velocity Cycle BMW dealership. They made the same recommendation as the Montreal dealer.I have been in touch with BMWs customer service and all I keep hearing is stalling tactics: bike is out of warranty, waiting response from regional representative... Im tired of being ignored and given bad information. Its fortunate that Im a good driver and have not crashed when the engine stopped. I have taken the bike off the road and will not drive it. Will someone in BMW please take action and solve this problem.

Poor BMW service at Performance BMW in Chapel Hill, NC - When I purchased my pre-owned, certified 2006 325i, I also purchased the extended warranty which ran through to Oct. 31, 2012. Fifteen days after my warranty expired, apparently the bushing on a thrust arm (I am told) popped and was leaking some kind of viscous fluid. I was told it would cost $690.13 to repair which included realigning my car. I had, less than a month ago, purchased four new tires and a realignment to the tune of $1,200. When I complained about this happening 15 days after my warranty expired (and my car only has about 50,000 miles on it) and having just paid for a realignment, I was told they would knock off the $150 realignment and a $50 co-pay. So now I am still having to pay almost $500 for this problem. What a ripoff.I also tried to get my oil and filter changed before my service contract expired, but was not accommodated. I was told by the service rep to see him next time I brought in my car and have asked for this service while my car has been in their shop for almost a week now. Dont know if they will do this for me as they are very unaccommodating. I am still upset about their inability to accommodate me.

Love this car (X1) great value for the price. It drives beautifully and has UNBELIEVABLE radius. Its extremely solid and easy to keep clean. However, its small inside and will not fit standard car seats. Also, the beeping and chimes are total overkill and cause anxiety. The clock cannot be seen well. The worst part is the locks. You cannot open the door and then immediately open the back door or hatch. It requires crawling back in to push the unlock button TWICE and the button is near the center instead of the door. Dumb and difficult spot! But we feel safe in this car.

In this day and age vehicles have issues I understand that but BMW should have stepped to the plate and at least offered a loaner for a 7 hour repair. I bought a CPO - BMW E92 M3 2008 model, which had done 39,000 miles. Car was good. Clutch was hard from the beginning. Just drove 4000 miles over a period of 3 months... and then I keep hearing this click sound every time I changed gear... and the car diagnostic showed no problem. But when I went for servicing, they told me… broken pressure plates which I paid $2400 to get it fixed, and told me its not covered under CPO. I was very upset. Then after a week I got the car and just driving the car for 100 miles, the clutch gets stuck to the floor and I almost missed a major car accident. I was this close to death… because the car halted at 40 mph in the middle of the road. I am so disappointed with BMW. The car is still under CPO.

In the last two months, Ive had to replace the battery and the ENTIRE I-drive (a.k.a.--brain) in my 2009 BMW 328I series with 26,000 miles (not a typo, I have another car) to the tune of nearly $3,000! I purchased the car new at the BMW dealership in Tulsa. I am furious and disappointed in BMW! I had such high hopes for this supposedly high performance auto. The dealership in Tulsa seemed at a loss to explain why this would happen in a car with such low mileage, yet didnt hesitate to charge full fees. The car is barely out of warranty. I would love to find out who the regional manager is in Oklahoma and am pursuing that now.

I love to drive the BMW 640i (plus the look). And people love the look too. Its fun, responsive, fast, gorgeous, awesome driving machine, tight (no rattles or squeaks), super-incredible convertible and eye catching! You feel totally in control when driving this 6 series car. Turning radius is awesome too! Need acceleration? No problem. Ever. Fully loaded this car does almost everything! Cameras all around can show if you are evenly in a parking space! Write addresses on the ceramic dial for navigation. Or talk to the car to get directions or to make a call on the phone. On cruise control, it will slow itself if a car gets too close! One touch and the convertible top opens or closes by itself. Check the car, unlock it, turn on the lights, or even sound the horn from my phone! Or turn on the ventilation in the car from my phone if it is too hot out so the car will be cooler when I get in! And if I need any kind of help - at all - I can contact my “always there” BMW assist! They will answer questions, send directions, give suggestions, talk to me, read to me, anything! Seems like there is nothing that this car isn’t able to do! Cannot imagine a better-looking or driving vehicle!!!

I am leasing a 2017 BMW 330i BMW. I really like my BMW car. On Sunday July the 30th my daughter and her daughter three month old baby girl were in the back seat in my BMW. My daughter ask if I would stop her Wendys at 3041 Headland Dr. When my daughter got out of the car to go into Wendys her daughter was asleep. I was sitting in the first seat on my phone. After about two minutes later I heard my granddaughter crying. I opened my door to get out and to get in the back seat with my three month old granddaughter. I shut the drivers door and went to open the back door and it was locked and went back to open the drivers door which I had just got out of and it was locked also. I checked all doors and they were all locked. I was devastated. My three month granddaughter was lock in the car and crying. I could not understand this at all because my keys to the car was still in the car and the car was still running. I was so upset, I ran into Wendys to tell my daughter and to ask for help. All this time my three month old granddaughter was in the car still crying really bad. My daughter and about six other people ran out of Wendys to my car to help. Because all doors were locked a young lady had to break the back window on the BMW for us to get the door open to get my granddaughter. We got my granddaughter out ok but she did have broken glass all over her from the young lady breaking the window. Your BMW Lover.

BMW screwed me big times after returning my lease. I have received 10 weeks later a bill from BMW stating I owe them money but before my lease ran out 2 months before I went for inspection and did what they have told me to do but then I got the charge 10 weeks later when they have sold the car. $900 for 3 tires oil change $250 and etc... Just be careful when you lease a car from BMW unless you are stick around with that brand otherwise they will screw you over big times and also the dealer wont help you out after you turn it in... It is a shame.

I bought BMW X1 2014 model and it has Run Flat tires. I had worst experience with these tires. I had to change 4 tires within 2 years which costed me $1200. I never had any problem with other cars with regular tires and never had any flat tire with regular tires. I do not understand why BMW RFTs (Pirelli Cinturato tires) giving so much trouble. Every 3 months one of the tires will be flat and there is no fix except new tire which cost me $300 and waste of time to visit the dealer and not having car for 1 day. Worst thing is I had to replace the same tire (brand new) within 3 months. Enough is enough. I am selling my BMW and going for regular tire vehicle. Its nightmare situation with the Run Flat tires. The road condition where I drive is pretty decent and very less probability of nails and flat tires. There is flaw with these Pirelli Cinturato tires which is giving me nightmare and financial burden.

Ordered a custom built leased 328i Luxury Line. After a few months of ownership, I noticed that the wood trim on the right rear door had a crack in it. Although it was minor, it could be felt and didnt want BMW to charge me when I turn in my lease. Went to South Motors BMW to tell them about the problem. The first service guy was an idiot who said that I should have bring up the problem earlier and that it was too late. Upset with this, I emailed BMW of NA included VIN, name, photos, and description.Within a week, I got a call from my the person who sold me that car saying that he was so sorry and to bring in the car for another look. I went back and was met by my salesman and service manager. He took photos and ordered the new part which they installed a week later. Apart from the first idiot service guy. I want to thank both BMW of NA, my salesman and the service manager for resolving this problem in a quick and responsible matter. On my 4th BMW and very satisfied. Car has been flawless since.

Share my unfortunate experience with BMW quality! I bought a BMW X1 about 4 years 9 months ago. Troubles started just after bought it. This and that warning lights came up often. After about one year, the battery drains all the time, have to replace the whole electric and battery system. A few weeks ago, just about 9 months out of the warranty, I drove it to Utah for a vacation. When I drove back home, it broke down in a city with transmission malfunction warning on the way. I have to tow it to the city BMW service for repair. After spent more than $1200, I still cannot drive it back home. It needs to replace the transmission, costs more than $11000. Left me with no other options, I have to sell it to the BMW dealer cheap and rent a car back home! This car only has 47000 miles, the transmission is gone!

I keep getting a warning sign on my BMW 1 Series, which reads Drive train, continue to drive slowly. This has been happening at regular intervals and I have been taking it to the dealership called Club Motors Randburg, in which case they have not been able to fix it. The query is now at the hands of BMW SA and I am not getting any joy as I am disgruntled and pained by the way I have been treated by BMW. I have now requested for the dealership I bought the car from to take their car back and organize me another deal. The dealership is telling me that they can only trade in the car and I will have a shortfall of R100,000, which is extremely unfair from BMW as I got this problematic car in April 2012. Ever since I bought the car, it has been problems after problems. I regret the day I decided to buy a BMW ever in my life. That was the worst decision I have ever taken in my life. I have had the worst experience in my life. If this is the way BMW treats its customers, then they do not deserve the status they claim to give to their client - which is sheer driving pleasure. I am deeply disgusted and I feel ridiculed by BMW. While all I wanted was to have a great German machine, instead I found myself the biggest lifetime liability. My wish is for BMW to deliver the promise they give to the customers, which is a world class product and great customer experience. I would like BMW to contact me urgently as I am faced with a problem. The dealership is now forcing me to bring back the loan car that they have lent me as they feel that I must take my scrap car and it is not their problem, but mine.

I have a 2009 BMW 3 series. I got a flat tire and was lucky to find a tire shop nearby. They did not have the tire for my car, so I called Roadside assistance to see how they could help me. They said I was entitled to a free tire and tire change, which was not true. So I agreed to have my car towed by a tow company, All About Automotive II on that Saturday night, until Monday morning when they would deliver it to Life Quality BMW Service Center. When I received my car back from the Life Quality BMW, the tire rims had been replaced on all four wheels with older, more damaged and dirtier rims, as if from a car that had been sitting in a dirty lot for years. I was outraged. I brought it to the attention of Life Quality, and their answer was that they could wash the car for me. These were not the original rims on the car. I foolishly believed that BMW would be working with a respectable tow company, even though when the company towed my car they did not take pictures of it, and one of the women who came to get the car was visibly a substance abuser. I was so foolish for trusting BMW. I put in a claim, and they denied it, without even trying to get evidence of my claim. I plan to continue fighting this case, but my advice to you is never to trust BMW roadside assistance.

I purchased a new 325i in 04 and drove it for 11 years. For the first 100,000 miles, it had absolutely zero issues. Never had to take it in unless for an oil/battery change. Overall I was very pleased with having purchased a German car, until it reached 140k miles. In a 6 month span, my 04 325i (worth only $5,000) has broken down SEVEN times. In this timeframe I have invested close to $7,000 solely in repairs. This car has broken down on the side of the road (needed new fuel pump, $700), the window motor needed to be replaced ($600), crack in radiator (had to replace entire radiator, $1,400), needed new air pump and strut replaced ($1,800) yet another radiator replacement ($1000), and finally, when I started my car the exhaust spewed white smoke with the smell of gas (hoses and valves and a gasket were replaced, $1,400). Do NOT purchase a BMW or any German car for that matter. These cars are completely unreliable and not meant to be driven for hundreds of thousands of miles. There is a reason dealerships will only cover maintenance for the first 90k miles. Dont be penny smart and dollar stupid! These foreign cars are not worth it!

I purchased an R1200 ST in March 2011. The bike was not serviced or registered in my name upon delivery, and came without the spare key. A week later, the clutch gave in. It was only three weeks later before the registration and an agreement to repair the bike were done. After the second wash, scratches appeared on the tank and covers. A long debate and threats ensued to have the bike repaired, with a promise that it would receive priority treatment. A month later, the bike was delivered without keys, service book and the same scratches. The keys were delivered two days later at 02:00 in the morning. Currently, Im trying to locate my service book from the dealer with no response. BMW SA refused to assist me with my original complaint, and now with the service book. The product may be good, but the after-sale service in South Africa is non-existent.

I have a 2007 BMW 335 with 68,000. I took it to the dealer and came up with $3600 repairs. How can a reputable car manufacturer produce cars that have an oil leak and to repair it, you need to remove the casket of the engine for a car with such a low mileage? I am saying goodbye to BMWs. BMW Serpa, in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada - has the most unprofessional service provider that are more oriented towards how much money they can get out of your pocket (Consumer) before they decide if they will provide you with WHAT GRADE of Service or if they will decide to provide you with a Car for your use while your BMW is in service. BMW Serpa has gone from being low class BMW service Center to the being Most Unprofessional and most horrible place to take your BMW for service or less even to buy your next BMW. They will wipe your feet if you are trying to Buy Your Next BMW, but the minute the funds have exchanged hands, you are in the Doom Land - They do not know you any more. Now only money will talk - if you spend more money at their service desk, then you will get a LOANER CAR - if your work is under the Warranty, then you will be told sorry we do not have any LOANER at this point but we will try our best to get you one very soon. WELL, THE SOON WILL NEVER COME!!!!!!!I bought my BMW X5 from BMW Serpa in Newmarket, Ontario and soon after the driving became kind of rough engine sound and driving experience. Well I called BMW Serpa and was asked to come-on in for service. Well I took my X5 in for service and filed the report with the Service of Engine running rough that was covered under the WARRANTY. First I was asked to pay $158 for Diagnostic check, which I did and asked for a Loaner Car - But was told they had none available at this point (DAY #1).After 2 days and ME Calling them to get update on my BMW, I was told that the Spark Plugs need to reset and they are good and X% running fine now. I picked up the BMW and drove home that late Evening (Day #3) - Well I do not what the hell BMW Serpa did, but the car did not run smooth and was giving the same engine trouble as before. The next morning (DAY # 4) I took my car back to BMW Serpa and filed the same complaint and report of Engine Running Rough, Still giving NO LOANER CAR. Next day (DAY # 5) I did not receive any call from BMW SERPA. (DAY # 6) I called BMW Serpa and request for the service department and was given the Voice Mail and so left a message for them to call me. Well No Calls were received. NOW I AM WITHOUT A CAR for 4 Days. Finally I went to BMW SERPA and spoke to the Owner of the events that took place and Unprofessional Approach of the Service Department of his BMW SERPA.Well, during my visit to BMW Serpa, the service agent said he was going to call me today and that my BMW X5 had some Engine problem and they need to order various engine parts to get them changed that will be done in 4 -5 days. They still did not have any Loaner car for me. WOW! By gods Grace I was called by the service agent and said to come and pick up the LOANER CAR the Next day (DAY # 7).Well the 5 days that was told for repair of my BMW X5 by BMW Serpa was really 14 days. And NO SIR, I did not get any update calls as stated by BMW CANADA (Service Promise to Customers). It was me who was calling BMW SERPA at all time to get update on my car. Well finally after had received NO CALLS from BMW Serpa for 4 days, I called them on Friday Early Afternoon and was told, OH! The papers just came from the service desk, and that they were about to call me as my BMW X5 was ready, but as they were putting the paperwork together, they will call me in few minutes. The few minutes really was few hours. I received call back from BMW SERPA at 17:30 hours and was asked to pick my BMW and it was all tested and ready to go. Well I picked my BMW next day and drove home.Well, the BMW X5 started with same engine trouble within 24 hours of bringing it home from BMW Serpa after having it repaired and tested by the BMW SERPA Service Department. I called the Service Department on Tuesday (DAY # 18) and was attended by Female Service Agent and said she will ask the other Service agent working with me to call me in One Hour. WELL, NO Sir! No calls were received and Next day I called back in the Morning and was asked for Voice Box. I refused and asked to be put on hold until the Service Agent was free to speak to me. After 18 minutes on Hold, he answered and took down my complaint and asked me to drive the BMW back to BMW SERPA, which I refused as it was not safe and asked to arrange Tow to bring the car to Service at BMW SERPA. At 12:16 hours the Tow truck arrived and I went with the Tow truck to BMW SERPA. On arrival, I spoke to the agent at the service desk and was told that I should wait for the service agent who was dealing with me and was on lunch at this point. Also instead to asking me to wait in the waiting area, was told to go for lunch and come back. Well I decided to just wait there as the time was 12:30 hours and I was told the agent will be back at 13:00 hours. At 13:25 hours I went back to the service agent and asked when the other agent was expected back from lunch and was told very soon. So after 30 minute later than what I was told, the agent arrived and at 13:47 hours he came to me and asked for my BMW KEY. At 14:25 hours he came back and said the fuel in the car was only good for 6 KM before empty, I said that was not true and took him to the car and after starting the car, showed him that the car showed still good for another 68KM before reserve (He was trying to put the engine trouble on lack of fuel in the car). Well at 14:38, the agent drove the car to the service line and spoke to the BMW service supervisor to look into the X5 and get it diagnostic tested. Again I was told in few minutes it will be all done and ready to go. This was at 14:55 hours. Finally at 15:45 hours I again approached the service desk and asked for any update was told, OH! I was about to come to you, the problem was in the spark plugs, and as they do not have all the required plugs the car will be ready the next day by late morning.NEXT DAY NOW - I waited for a call from BMW SERPA - But No calls - so as always I called them and again left a Message for them to call me back. No Call back and neither I have any transport at this point. So I called them back and again I demanded to be put on hold, until the service agent was ready to speak to me, In 7 minutes I was speaking to my service agent, who said - he had no idea what was going on, but will find out and get back to me in 10 minutes. Well this time he did call in 10 mins and told me now the spark plugs were okay, but the problem was still existing and that the team was working on the electrical system now, so I said it was all covered under the Warranty and he said YES it was and so I asked for a LOANER CAR and he said they had NO LOANER CAR and he cannot be sure as to when he will have a loaner for me. Also he was unsure as to how long it will take for my BMW X5 to be ready or what was going on.I was once again, left hanging with No CAR, No proper information, No Details on how long the fix will take and neither any words of professional courtesy of what will happen to all my work meetings and my transportation. I had changed from AUTOHAUS BMW to BMW SERPA about 8 months back after 9 years of being a BMW AUTOHAUS customer (Happy One), as the BMW SERPA was closer to my house. But I do regret going to BMW SERPA and am most disappointed in the level of service provided by this BMW SERPA in Newmarket, Ontario, CANADA. Be Smart and stay away from BMW SERPA. Unless you like giving away your money with NO Accountability at all with this service provider, BMW SERPA. Best to go to other BMW Dealer! BMW SERPA = UNPROFESSIONAL.

I purchased a certified pre owned (CPO) 2006 325i sedan from Center BMW in Sherman Oaks, CA. with 54k miles for less than $30k. I was 24 years old, recent college grad, and just bought my dream car, I was happy. Within a year of purchasing, I experienced problems. The dealership fixed whatever was under warranty for the next 2 years (as per the CPO warranty). In the 6 years I have had this car, I have put on 63 miles, so now it is over 100k miles. I took care of my car and gave it whatever attention it needed, right away.Once the warranty was over, I experienced more problems that I had to pay for on my own: new Xenon headlight, all 6 pistons back firing (at different times over the 6 years), transmission gave out, power window on rear passenger side broke, window locks broke, driver side door handle/lock broke, display on radio broke, starter broke, rear view mirror broke off window, interior of steering wheel peels off, rear window molding had to be replaced twice, driver window motor stalls, passenger front door lock motor stalls, molding around passenger rear window leaks and water gets in with rain/car wash.Molding of roof racks peeling, car rattles when you turn the wheels to the furthest point possible while driving, especially on an incline, car rattles/shakes when the AC is on and car is at a complete stop, AC turns on automatically randomly, exterior lights on drivers side stay on when car is off and locked (randomly), BMW symbol on hood peeled and faded, and there is a loud, embarrassing rattle coming from underneath the car.For 20% of these problems, the dealership fixed under warranty. The rest they claimed were not under warranty and I had to pay for out of pocket. For about 30% of these problems, I took my car into the dealership 3 times and they could not figure out the cause and suggested I would fix and pay out of my pocket, even when the warranty was still valid. They claimed the warranty did not cover since they could not find the root of the cause and I would have to pay for time and labor for the dealership to take the car apart and figure out the root of the problem and then determine if the problem would be covered by warranty. The third time I caved in and paid for labor/time for the diagnostics and after all that the dealership told me the problem was not covered by warranty.Center BMW just sold me a lemon and sucked every penny out of my dream car. I finally got fed up and wrote a letter to the corporate offices explaining to them how unhappy I was with my BMW and how the dealership handled the problems and also mentioned how the lemon I purchased was a disappointment since I received a poor quality car that did not live up to the reputation BMW holds. Their response was there was nothing BMW would do once the warranty expired and the owner was responsible for all repairs.

My car battery suddenly died on my new 335i 2011. They wanted $195.00 to diagnose the battery and $435.00 (totaling $630.00 for parts, not including labor). What use is a warranty if you have to pay as much to repair it if it was out of warranty? It took them 2 days to diagnose it, and they wanted to keep my car over the weekend. Its not rocket science to replace a dead battery. Its literally a 5 minute job. Im disappointed at the amount of my time that they have wasted. The battery only charges to 10.6 volts (dead cell, faulty product). I have completely lost faith in BMW. I have had transmission problems since 5,000 miles (2nd gear synchro 6MT) that the dealer has failed to replace under warranty. When I purchased the car, it came with 2 bad rims.Heres my current BMW Warranty experience: Did the custom-ordered car come with bad rims? Blame customer. Is the car transmission failing at 5,000 Miles? Blame customer. Does the car battery have dead cells? Blame customer. There is poor communication with customers and lack of communication.

The appearance of the 330is is way off. The reason why we as public is going wild over the e30 325is is because of its boxy body shape as it is to perfect, the amazing sound of the M20 2.7 motor and interior. I bought a 2006 BMW 750i and it comes with CPO. I also paid for maintenance program up to 6 years or 100,000 miles. So the BMW NA and dealer should really take good care of the car until 2012, right? Nope! Right after my warranty expired, which was Feb 2012 and did 100,000 services, the dealer listed over one hundred things that need to be taken care right away. My car broke down twice on the road (fuel injection systems and transmission fail) and I have complained those issues (27 services record for 4 years), plus more (line motor oil burns too fast and the dealer answered me that its normal right after the warranty). The dealer warned me and now reported: 1. Rec replace sealing sleeve assembly (found sealing sleeve assembly leaking) - Fail $901.47 X. 2. Replace valve cover gasket (found engine oil leak) - Fail $2,376.13 X. 3. Previously declined recommendations status. 4. Replace blushing caution $1,076.50. 5. Perform power steering system fluid exchange service caution $169.00.6. Perform coolant fluid exchange service caution $199.99.BMW CPO is a fraud. I just keep asking and the dealer declines, stalls for the mechanic issue and not fix it. I believe Consumer Affairs should look into it. I called and wrote an email to BMW NA customer relations. They changed the rep and even used lousy excuses. They said I did not pick up the phone. After a callback and not returning my call, they changed the rep and sent me another email. Speechless. The website for BMW Fi is NOT user friendly. Every time you want to get online you need to ask for a code. Then hopefully enter the code in the time allowed, or you will start over. The courtesy and friendliness of BMW Fi can be a lot better than it is. Overall, I would certainly not recommend them, but this is what is offered at the dealership. Ive had 3 car loans with them and they are all problematic in one way or another.

I love BMW and always will. It’s best car in the world. I’ve bought a BMW 320msport convertible 7 months ago and one day when I used the headlight washer on the motor way, they blew off. After checking on the web, I found that it’s a common fault. It’s in a BMW forum. You can check them. Many people said that BMW done theirs as a courtesy and now BMW are doing it under warranty. But my dealer wants to charge me. My reg # is **. It’s a common fault and I am not happy to pay for mine. Why are they blowing off?

Ive been driving BMWs for 15 years and had come to trust the brand. I decided to spend a bit more than I wanted to buy a newer version (6 years, 2007 320D model) to try to reduce the generally high costs of maintaining old BMWs. The car had 80k miles, sounded and drove OK. Little did I know that between 2007 and 2009, BMW built their cars with weak timing chains and located them at the back of the engine where they could not be replaced without complete engine removal. Furthermore, the lower timing sprocket is integral to the crankshaft, so the latter has to be replaced as well even though the shaft is hardly worn (600 for the bit). If the timing chain is slightly noisy (not noticeable to most people), the cost to fix is at least 2000. If the chain fails, the engine instantaneously loses power without warning. If you can recover yourselves safely on foot from the fast lane, or wherever, the bill is at least 5000.My local mechanic noticed the slight noise under the engine. I took it to the BMW dealer who agreed that the chain should be replaced. BMW then declined to offer any good will contribution to the repair cost because the car was out of warranty and had been bought from a non-BMW dealer, even though all but the last two services were carried out by the BMW dealer. I have been advised by an engine repair company that they are repairing 3 or 4 of these engines per week (including other models made in 2007-2009) and that the new timing chain is stronger than the old, implying that a design-failure has been admitted by BMW in practice, if not officially. There is no instruction in the owners manual to check the condition of the timing chain (as there is for cam-belts in other makes) so owners are unwarned of this costly maintenance task. In my opinion, BMW, by not admitting their calamitous design errors, are foisting the massive costs onto owners. Be warned of BMW incompetence and insensitivity if you are thinking of buying one of their cars. I would be pleased to consider taking part in a class action against the company, alleging that their denial of fault is false and that they are liable for all repair costs. This would need proof with expert witnesses but might be affordable if enough people come forward.

I bought a 2007 BMW 550i with 50000 miles on it. So far I have spent almost 2000 in repairs but nothing has really been fixed, my transmission hard shifts between 1 and 2nd same downshifting, it jerks when taking off basically giving you whiplash starting off. Ive had the car reprogrammed twice, all that did was turn my entertainment screen sea green. They say I need a valve body which is a $2000 dollar part inside the transmission which my aftermarket warranty would not cover because they said since its electrical they wont cover it. But the warranty states they cover internal tranny parts which is another rip off these warranty companies. AC compressor failed, water pump failed. Suspension sucks, it shakes. Have bought new tires and like 5 wheel balancings and still vibrates at 60 mph. And the car only has 61000 miles on it right now. This is my second BMW, they both sucked, spent way too much repairing these cars and time wasted. It will be my last BMW and the dealer will not address most of these problems, they recommend getting just a whole new part so 40,00 miles later that part will do the same crap. Fail!

2009 BMW 335I - Battery was removed to be replaced. Closed trunk as car was in public place, now I cannot access trunk to replace battery, cannot use front jump option under hood as cables in trunk are touching or grounded. At this time the only option BMW is suggesting is to have car towed to BMW so they can troubleshoot at $175 an hour - and from what I have found is they will locate the fuse wire and use that to open trunk. They removed the key hole in 2009 with this car thus leaving the consumer in the lurch.

Im owner of BMW X6 5,0 Xdrive (2009). I bought this car like a new one. This is my third BMW. After 63 000km BMW service-car repair-a new engine. Because the car big, oil losses. After this repair many times Engine Fault on my board computer BMW X6. After Engine Fault a complete loss of power. Very danger! Every time in BMW service they told me... Dont worry.. we will repair it. After BMW service -car repair - a new both turbo there - but next ENGINE FAULT, BMW service-car repair- a new injections there - but next ENGINE FAULT, BMW service-car repair- a new cylinders, but next ENGINE FAULT, BMW service-car repair-a new injections again, but next ENGINE FAULT. BMW service-car repair-fuel pump, but next ENGINE FAULT... BMW service-car repair both catalysts and more other parts... but ENGINE FAULT.. is still again and again there! The inappropriate condition of the car (BMW X6 5,0 xi) has several times put not only the lives of my family and me at risk but threatened also the lives of other drivers on the road. All these extremely risky situations were caused by repeated errors in the engine when in use followed by a complete loss of power. Dont buy BMW, if you love your life and your family!

How many of you guys have had to replace your door handles on your BMW X5 from the year 2005 to 2008? How many of you had to replace your windows and how many times have you had to do it? Theres a defect - very very bad defective thing in their door handles to the point where they will break and you cannot get in or out of your vehicle. Also with the windows they will fall all the way into your car like theyre not like its not heavy enough to hold it. Okay its a shame that all of us have had to go through this and we repair it and we dont ever do anything about it. If I would have known that I wouldnt have purchased it. I cant get in my car from the outside at all without going through a window after breaking my car every time I want to drive it. Its a BMW X5 2005. Thats a shame. Should no luxury vehicle have a handle broke on a car. Ive never met or seen a car that had a broken door handle or is that the windows just fall down into it like the wires are not heavy enough. But BMW does not want to admit that its a defect. I dont know why theres no class action lawsuit but I will warn you do not buy yourself a BMW X5. The handles will break and you will repair them all of them. You will not be able to get into your car okay. Dont even do it. Its not even worth it their alternators. The car goes through alternators like its going out of style. Every time you turn around youll be buying a new alternator because the oil sticks into the alternator. These BMWs are highly defective mostly all of them. I dont know nobody who hasnt repaired a door handle. Do not buy one of these.

BMW Financial involuntarily repossessed my BMW after an auto accident. I was unable to walk and notify BMW of the situation as the car was in their chosen shop for repair or payoff. Insurance repaired after 2 months. I notified BMW that the car was repaired and I owed 2 payments, which I was paying now that I could walk. They said after my $20,000.00 repair, they were in repo status. I said no and that the car is back in for repair and Im on my way to pay. I was at Western Union with a witness to pay two payments. The girl at BMW was rude and said theres nothing she could do. The repo showed up in 30 minutes at BMW repair shop and took my car before I arrived. I never heard from anyone of this. I called on my way to repair shop and they said my car was taken and that was that. No authorization, no police involvement. The car could be stolen, for all I know. Then they billed me $12,000.00. I had 3 months left on lease and a $20,000.00 beautiful car repair they made out and ruined my credit. I have had 4 BMWs and they will never see my business again!

I purchased a BMW 5 series, new, on July 10, 2010. The car is 1 1/2 years old. It has been in the service center of Vista BMW, which is where I purchased it from, more than I have driven it. First of all, when I purchased the vehicle I was not informed I had run-flat tires on the car, nor was I offered a replacement warranty option. Naturally I did not think I had run flat tires on the vehicle since there is a full size spare tire in the trunk, which cars with run flat tires on it typically do not have. Then of course I have had multiple problems with the tires and the computer that registers the pressure in the tires. I brought my car to Vista BMW service several times and they kept resetting the computer system so the tire pressure did not register low pressure, never telling me I had problems with my tires. After the pressure light came on for the 10th time, I brought the car to an independent tire dealership, they put the car on a lift and showed me the tires. The front tire had a nail in it and that was why it was losing tire pressure and both rear tires had the steel belts sticking out of them and thats why the tire pressure indicator kept coming on. Yet I had brought the car to Vista BMW on many different occasions and never once did they inform me of the problems with the tires.Leaving me in a dangerous situation everyday, driving this vehicle. I ended up replacing the tires with regular tires after having the car for 1 year at my own expense. The other major problem I have had since I purchased the car, is the constant internal squeaking of the car, which sounds like all the doors are loose from the inside. The squeaking is so loud you can hear it over the radio. Again, I have brought my car into Vista BMW service and they claim the seal on the doors needed teflon tape to stop the squeaking. They proceeded with the repair and the noise was gone for a couple of months. The noise returned and I returned to Vista BMW service. I was then told 2 different solutions by 2 different service advisers. One adviser said the seals of the doors needed to be replaced, the other said no, that they were going to tape it again because that was what the manufacturer suggested, which is what they did, placed tape again. The noise was gone only to return a couple of months later. I believe I went back again another time for the same problem. I have to review my service tickets. I just brought the car in again to Vista BMW service on January 26, 2012 because the doors were squeaking again and I was having other problems which have still not been fixed ; (replaced windshield wipers, which dont clean the windshield and are extremely noisy, asked to have wiper fluid put in at service appointment, they put in plain water, interior vanity light out, still not replaced, and on curves a yellow light on my dash board which is a circle with a triangle in the middle flashes, I have brought the car in for this several times and it still has not been fixed).I spoke directly to the service manager at Vista BMW, Don ** and he reviewed my complaints, which he assured me would be taken care of. I have not heard from anyone since the car was dropped off on the 26th. Today is January 28, I called Vista BMW service today and asked for the service manager and was told he would call me back. A valet from Vista BMW called me back and started reading off my ticket of what was addressed, yet had no knowledge of me or what has been happening with my car. The service manager assured me on when I dropped the car off that the door seals would be replaced, not taped again. I asked the valet again to please have the service manager call me back about my car.Mr. Don called me back today and told me they taped up the doors again. I began telling Mr. Don what he had told me, that the door seals would be replaced as well explaining all the unresolved problems I have had with the car. He expressed that he did me a favor by getting involved in this particular situation and that he test drove my car and the squeaking noise was gone. I expressed to him again that he assured me that the seals would be replaced and not taped. His response was, “Fine, we will replace the seals but I can not promise the squeaking noise will not happen again on the interior of the car.”I expressed to him the car is 1 1/2 years old and still under warranty and this should not be the case. Mr. Dons response was, “Well, thats the way it is and there is nothing you can do about it. We will not replace your car and you are in no position to declare Lemon Law on your car since you have 30,000 miles on the car.” I told him I never mentioned Lemon Law and wanted my car fixed once and for all. When I asked him about the other problems I brought my car in about, his response was, “I did not read your service ticket so I dont know.”I am beyond frustrated, I have never had a new car in service as much as my BMW, I have also never had such poor service from a car dealership. This is my first BMW and will be my last. I had several Honda cars, new, and never had a problem with these cars or the service and I spent half the price on the car. Is it too much to ask to have your car fixed properly? Or that a new vehicle not have a multitude of problems?

I purchased a 2008 BMW 335i as a second owner. Then, I discovered after the purchase that the title was branded lemon--manufacturer buy-back. Carfax did not have the word lemon until two years later when the state of California required the word lemon be added. Regardless, the BMW was a buy-back at 4,000 miles because the fuel pump failed. Eight months later, the below recall was issued:VOLUNTARY RECALL: BMW High-Pressure Fuel Pump Voluntary Emissions Recall--models w/ N54.The upshot of this is that my car was branded a lemon due to manufacturing failure but none of the cars post recall were branded as such. BMW refuses to intervene on my behalf to the California DMV, to reserve the title branding; thus, leaving my car worth 25% less than comparable values for this particular model. While trying to trade it at a BMW dealership, they confirmed that it wasnt worth 60% of comparable values.Doesnt BMW USA have a responsibility to make this right? None of this would have been known by me had I not seen a Carfax with the updated lemon language and had I not tried to sell the car, now with 35K miles on it. Please help me. BMW has flatly said that there is no recourse for me.

I leased a 2009 328i BMW and a basic part of the car was Voice Recognition - no need to buy the navigation system. I leased the 2013 328i and of course expected the Voice Recognition to be part of the package. No one at BMW Manhattan knew that it wouldnt be. I took the car and soon learned this was the case. Called BMW and was told that this year it wasnt part of the basic package but they were fixing it and the software would be available by June 2013. June has come and gone and I am now told it will not be available at all. Never would I have taken this car. BMW will not take the car back. This is a safety issue - and I dont know of another car that doesnt provide this as a basic. BMW is arrogant about this and dismissive. I will never get another one of its cars. This is bad business.

We purchased a 2005 BMW X3 in 2007 to be my wifes car. It had 22,000 miles, not bad. While its styled nicely, also with ample room for an SUV and it handles nicely, it has been a mechanical nightmare. Its our first BMW and I assumed it would be reliable and be of high quality. WRONG. It was OK for a couple years of use, up to 35,000 miles, but since then, its been one expensive repair after another. Things that SHOULDNT break in a relatively low-mileage automobile. First, it was the liftshocks that raise the back tailgate. It would drop down on your head if you didnt keep one hand holding up while unloading groceries, etc. I was able to do that repair myself with new shocks. Next, it was the back passenger window mechanism in which a plastic piece along the ridebar broke. No one was messing with the window. There was no abuse, just my wife lowering the window to bring in air. Of course, the plastic piece is part of a whole motorized ridebar/lift assembly and in order to fix (only a dealer has the parts, btw) cost $575! Ridiculous. Next, a cracked intake manifold, along with several other parts (faulty PCV valve, breather hose, vent valve) that required replacement. Cost: $1,500! This last October, it was a leaky oil pan and oil filter housing, $450! Finally, about six months ago, four lights appeared on the dashboard, AWD, brakes, I forget the other two. Well, theyre all related to the same thing: a small motor beneath the drivers side undercarriage that distributes torque to the four tires independently, thus AWD. Great concept, BUT NOT IF THE GEARS INSIDE THE MOTOR WEAR OUT which is exactly what happened. The car had about 51,000 miles when this occurred. The motor is inside a housing about the size of a football. The motor cost $1,800, plus $1,200 labor, grand total of $3,000! The labor is high because numerous things have to be removed under the car to get at, and replace, the AWD motor. Well, we have to wait to get this last fixed, but I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER BMW AGAIN, EVER!! I could understand one fluke, one faulty part, but this has become an awful financial burden for us. My Toyota, on the other hand, has 74,000 miles and never a problem! Only basic maintenance: oil, tires, brakes... So you figure it out, which is the better vehicle?

I recently purchased a 2008 530I with light front damage. When I saw the dealer bills, (Thousands) I raised my prices up a little and bought more nice wrecked cars. My 2008 BMW calls for a $950.00 positive battery terminal, in order to start from the ignition. It took me two weeks to read online about how BMW had gone crazy on parts prices and dealer ripoffs. They are crazy on parts prices now. I fixed it for 200, the dealer wants 1,500 including reprogramming the car. You must have a special tool to install into the plug for the troubleshooting device to save the programs $100.

I recently purchased an 09 BMW 535i which had 23k miles. I have since put 8k miles on this pile and it has been in for service twice both for fuel related issues (injectors/fuel pump). When it was in for service last time, they said I needed four new tires. How could this be? I explained to the sales manager I thought I bought a certified pre-owned vehicle. After our meeting, he said he would pay for the two front and I would have to pay for the rears (ridiculous) especially when I traded in a car with brand new tires on it. Well, since he was only willing to purchase the two rear, I said okay reluctantly. But when he said the two rear tires will cost me $1,400 with an alignment, I about fell out of my chair. I then explained that I would get the four tires on my own and bring him the bill for the rear two since I know I can get them much cheaper. His response was no for the reason he did not want to take the commission from his service writer and his service department. (Wow.) This guy would rather make sure his people are making a buck rather than make a customer happy. I will never buy a BMW again. It has been the worst experience of my life. On July 31, 2011, I bought my first and last BMW. I bought a brand new X3. I loved the car at first and then months in, the problems started happening. Let me first state that when I bought my X3, the back hatch did not open and close properly. The struts were broken. The first time I had issues, I was driving and the dash alerted me that my back hatch was open when in fact it was closed. Then the alert went away, but my hazards started flashing. I called the service department and they had me bring my vehicle in. They tried to tell me that because the struts were broken, it was tripping the system. So they fixed the struts.A month later, while I stopped at a stop light, my back hatch opened all on its own. Then within that same week, while driving up my drive way at a speed of 15mph, my back hatch opened all on its own again. So I called the service department again. And again I took my car to the service department. They kept my car for almost a week, only to conclude that they couldnt duplicate the problem. Therefore, they couldnt fix the problem. Another month goes by. While driving on the freeway, this time the dash alerted me: 1) Back hatch open. Then the alert goes away moments later; 2) The hazards start flashing; 3) The windshield wipers start swiping, and the windshield wiper fluid starts spraying; 4) And an alert on my dash states, Windshield wiper system failure. That alert flashed twice.I currently have my car in the service department and I’m at my wit’s end. I thought this company built good, dependable cars. All I have experienced is problems. My car isnt even a year old. The company has told me that in order to buy back my car, I have to pay them $3,500. I think that’s totally unacceptable. I never want to do business with BMW again.

We are in the market for a newer 3 series BMW sedan. Our current 2002 325i has 240k miles. I have been a faithful BMW owner since 1970. But after the problems with our 2002 325i engine I am not sure about BMWs in our future. Last April we on a road trip to visit our son in Asheville, NC with the intention of purchasing a 3 series BMW. Our experience at BMW of Asheville was not impressive. We found a car during a web search of BMW of Asheville website. We were greeted at the door, offered a drink of water and introduced to sales specialist. The car apparently had some theft and paint damage while at the dealership. So the car was in the paint shop. But after an hour we were getting annoyed having not seen or Sat in a car. Then I noticed our sales specialist jumping in the air with a key fob I assume trying to locate the car. With Millions of dollars in inventory it would seem simple, to note on the inventory number where it is located and status. The dealership giving us excuses just lowered our confidence in the dealership. In the future I hope customers find a different experience than we had. Still needing a newer car we are looking at a 2007 328i. But after reading the reviews posted here. I am seriously questioning what I am about to do. Can I just on faith that it will turn out okay. Or will the insensitivity of corporate wear me out!

BMW has had my vehicle for over a month now for repairs. The car is less than 4 years old and has less than 35,000 miles on it. I bought the car brand new. This is not the first time my car has been in the shop. There have been numerous other occasions prior to this time. I am emailing to express my dissatisfaction with the whole matter involving my vehicle. I am very distressed at the fact that it has taken this long for BMW to diagnose the problem with my car. I have stated before to BMW North America, I have reason to believe I was sold a lemon. I was also forced to buy a battery recently (receipt of 11/2/13 for amount of $898.68) to what I believe was an original defect with the vehicle. To say that I have been not only depressed but suffering mental anguish and frustration is an understatement. I am not pleased with BMW. I have strongly suggested some other recourse in this matter but I still get the run around. Please help me!!!!

Started with bald tires (VERY BALD, bands showing) at 7K miles. Going through tires every 7K miles. Engine light issues - they blamed the diesel version of the vehicle. Was in the shop for over a month on and off for that issue. Now the car has 25K miles and both brakes needed replacing, front & back. Trunk lid issues, driving alone and light comes on. Light wont go out and lid wont close. What a disappointment.

I have a 2007 BMW for my wife. It has only 60,000 miles on it. I have bought an extended warranty for it. Every month, it has some minor issues, which i get fixed. This month again, it was the radiator hose. I have to pay $480 for a radiator hose. I am very upset. This is a very well maintained car, but it never is trouble free, and every trip to the dealer end up costing me money. As a lifetime BMW customer, I have never felt this disgusted. I definitely want to get a refund on this outrageous charges.

I purchased a 2011 BMW 550i xDrive from International Autos Group. I must say I love the car and am very happy with the purchase. The issue I have is with BMWs failure to honor the contract that was signed. The contract states the CPO warranty with a deductible of Not Applicable, yet BMW is charging $50 for every service. It took weeks for BMW North America to render a decision, and I think they knew it was the wrong decision, but nevertheless they told me to pound salt. The rep was very rude during our last call. It is my understanding that International Autos Group in Milwaukee, Wisconsin ultimately denied the request to honor the contract. I caution against working with this dealership. Have had much better BMW dealership experiences elsewhere.

Rear tires on 740li with only 22k miles. Dealer said when got the second service on car needed rear tires because of not good alignment??? What?? Inside edge worn out on both tires. I cant believe that this car would need new tires with only this mileage? The front is fine so tell me how does this happen? Hope CEO HAS TO BUY TIRES ON REAR OF CAR. This is the most ridiculous thing that has ever happened to me in all the cars I have owned. Cant believe for the $$$$ of this car that this could really be the truth that you are not telling anyone? Not very impressed now with this company. Now I am going to get alignment and buy 2 new tires for a $100,000.00 car with only 22k miles on it? Hope people that work there get to experience this?

Two months ago I had to replace a regulator in the rear drivers side window. I own a 2008 BMW 328i BMW. This past week I was on my way to work. Im a international flight attendant and my schedule was for me to be flying for 7 days straight. As I pulled out of my driveway, I tried raising my rear passenger side window. Once again it was broken and would not raise. I stopped at a nearby automotive and the mechanic was able to get the window out of the door and taped it in the up position. There are a lot of thief at any airport at any time of day. I was lucky no one touched my car but shame on BMW. Making a plastic regulator on a car that is supposed to be of high quality. I guess I need to prepare for the 2 front window regulators to go out soon. Plastic is a cheap inferior product compared to metal. It cost a lot a time I put the car in the shop. Your products and mechanics are over rated. The last time I put my car in a BMW dealership for normal check, the mechanic left his drill in the engine. I am selling this car because it doesnt stand up to its name.

Ive always wanted a BMW. When I chose this car I was not looking to buy a car but I fell in love with the look of this car. Then I took it for a test drive and found that it was such a fun car to drive. I was hooked and it drove like a dream. Its very fast and handles very well. Its also beautiful and comfortable. I loved the color combination with the black exterior and gray interior. It has many airbags and its a very safe car to drive. I also love that it has a GPS in the dash. And I like that I can switch from comfort mode to fast with a touch of a button. I like the backup camera as it comes in very handy too. But I wish I had paid more attention to the back seat as it is very tight. Although, it is comfortable if youre very short. Other than that, I would recommend this car to family and friends. Will also only buy BMW from now on.

I will never buy a BMW again. Overpriced and the quality is not present anywhere. Difficult to upkeep and customer service is nearly nonexistent at dealership AND corporate level. I bought a 320i and was so excited to run around with the BMW logo - until realized the logo was ALL I was getting. The car is subpar to my old Geo Metro from the 90s I had as a kid. NOT EXAGGERATING. As the first owner and the car is ONLY A YEAR OLD, it shouldnt have all the problems its been having. I had to buy new tires (yes, that quickly) because they come with run flats which go bald quickly. To boot, I couldnt have my usual family friend replace them because I needed some special BMW tire bolt remover to get them off. Took forever to get this bolt remover because it didnt come with the car and I ended up missing a weekend trip because I felt unsafe driving on bald tires.Engine stalls sometimes when first starting car in the a.m., door lock mechanism has broken a few times, and most of all: The car terrifies me on curvy roads on the freeway (cant have full control of the steering wheel during high speed curves on the freeway). I am terrified Im going to die in this car - Ive gone back to the dealer multiple times to tell them the steering wheel sticks on high speed turns and they only tell me they cant find the problem - because they arent looking for it!!! They just want my money and care less about fixing this car under the warranty. And I cant afford to get another car while saddled with this one or ruin my credit by dumping it because Im trying to buy a house. So I just avoid going far in this car or rent vehicles when I need to drive long distance. Ridiculous. But wait! Theres more! Every time I go make a payment online, the website is down or Im being asked to authenticate my same device I always use. Beyond annoying. I have to call customer service to pay, which is always a 20 min wait because their site never works. So EVERYONE is calling in and I go thru that EVERY MONTH just to pay my hard earned money for a car Im scared to drive! It has been a complete nightmare owning this car and BMW doesnt care. I have told my family if I die on any curvy roads to have the steering issue looked into and sue the daylights out of them. DO NOT BUY A BMW!

I say slow stop above because it does not jerk when I come to a faster stop. I usually drive in Comfort+ mode with the auto Start Stop engine engine turned off. I leased a 2015 BMW 428I - I have had timely payment without interruptions. I have had very minor maintenance issues. BUT it seems as I have found myself with an ongoing to date unresolved electrical issue -- specific to the radio. I have take this car 5 times back to the dealer to no avail. I am without my car for days and sometime weeks. And it seems as if they cant get it right. As I am now again experiencing malfunctions yet again with the RADIO. I have exhausted all energy with this. My lease is up in two months --- I have opted to contact BMW and suggest/offer to at this point just return the car two months early as it makes no sense to again take the car back to the dealer for the SAME ongoing issue and have them keep the car for days and so thereafter have the same issue reappear.I was insulted and disappointed that I was offered to take the car back early without being charged for the last two months of the lease BUT only if I agreed to purchase another car... What a major insult to my current situation. I would have expected a prestigious establishment to OWN their LEMON and offer me an amicable solution enough to have me re-gain confidence in not only there product BUT the way that treat/satisfy their customers. After rejecting the horrible offer I was told they will revisit and have me wait until June 7th -- for my final answer. Very disappointing to say the least. My situation has been established by records of the amount of times this car has been worked on for the SAME issue. But yet they want me to wait an additional week. SHAME ON BMW USA.

I have purchased 3 consecutive BMWs. I love the brand. Ive had my most recent vehicle for 3 months, a 535i, and its a great car. I noticed that one of my door handle trim pieces was missing and the other was loose. I looked for damage and there wasnt any. I went to the dealer and they were very helpful and accommodating. They took pictures, took notice of there not being any damage, and they said they would contact BMW on my behalf. A few days later the dealer called me to let me know that BMW would not offer assistance. The resolution they suggested is that I purchase new door handles plus the cost of programming comfort access because the trim pieces are not sold separately. ($500+ Per Handle.)After, I have spoken to BMW independent of the dealer and they are asking for more pictures. I dont understand this since they already have them. I conclude that the trim pieces have fallen off due to a problem with the adhesive not performing to specs (The trim piece itself is made of plastic with tape strip on the inner side). I am very disappointed that as a loyal customer, I would be dismissed in this fashion. I just spent over $60k for this vehicle.

I purchased a BMW 228i from a authorized BMW dealer and right after one year with 12000 miles on it the original Pirelli tires on the car split from the sidewall. I know for sure that I didnt hit the curb or anything and the car is always garaged. When I spoke with BMW they said they cant do anything about it and you need to contact dealer. So I contact my deal and he said since you didnt purchased any tire warranty with us we cant do any thing and you need to pay $400 to replace the tire. Since it was important I went ahead and spend $400 for just one tire. Now its a month passed and the exactly same thing happened on another tire and this time I again contacted BMW asking if there is any manufacturing defect with the tire or wheels. They opened the case and asked me that we will take 3 days to revert back with the case. Its already 1 week passed and they never bother to revert back to me on whats going on with the case. Couple of days back I called customer service and they said its being assigned to the service manager Matt ** in BMW and if you want you can call at his extension otherwise he will revert back to you. I called at his extension 3 times. Left a voice message but they just dont bother to at least call me back and tell me we are working on it. It feels like they just dont care about they customers, not sure if they are working in the office or not. THE MOST PATHETIC customer service from such a big company. Now that not over, this time I went to discount tires for this tire issue and they said if you are at tread count lower than 2/32 (which is 8/32 since the new tires are at 10/32) since you purchase the new car which and if it is a run flat tires Pirelli (Original tires from BMW) will replace it for free and if the tread count is lower than that (8/32) it will calculated as pro rated basis. They called Pirelli themselves and give me after pro rated calculation. They gave me $100 back and also replaced it with new tires. Now when this happened to my another tire neither BMW or their authorized dealer (Ralph ** BMW), that you will get the pro rated amount back. It felt like Ive been cheated by BMW and their authorized dealer.

Not clear about durability as I have the car only one year, but maneuvering, acceleration, safety mechanisms, etc., are excellent. 228i is a relatively small coupe with rapid acceleration (0 to 60 in seconds), great maneuverability (takes corners sharply and with stability), good safety mechanisms (rear view camera, alarms/reminders for seat belts, emergency brake, parking, etc.). Windows provide good visibility all around though I wish there was a rear window wiper. Has driver & front passenger heater seats, automatic air conditioning and seat settings that driver adjusts to his/her comfort level, etc. Trunk is a good size. Back seat is a bit small if youre tall, otherwise comfortable. Could use a bit more storage space (console, glove compartment and very small compartment next to driver door to lock up keys for glove compartment if valet parked). Remote keyless access. Great car/value for the money. Good support service from BMW.

I bought the car on July 2011 as a brand-new BMW 316i from the Bavarian branch. I complained 3 times to the Katamia 4 Maintenance Cairo Branch Bavarian Auto Group after-sales department that there is noise while driving on the right chair and door. I didnt fix it yet as it is a new car. I was very frustrated that a BMW car makes such noise, and this is my first time to drive a BMW car. Then I had the accident. The car was entered in the maintenance section on January 30, 2012. The first report of the BMW-Kinematics Diagnosis system didnt show the chassis issue. Then suddenly, I received a call last Thursday that the car has issue with the chassis and that it needs to be fixed. Please find below today update:Today, I went the Katamia 4 Cairo Branch (BMW Bavarian Auto Group after-sales department). The maintenance engineer Mohamed ** responsible of my car highlighted that the car chassis needs to be fixed and that its not related to the car accident and not related to another accident. And he confirmed my view that its related to the car manufacturer issue. I contacted the center head, Mr. Mohamed ***. He was on vacation, and he recommended to contact engineer Mohamed **** to have the feedback and technical opinion of the car status. I requested to have a technical report from the Bavarian Group for the car status. As an overview, the car chassis has issue before I bought the car, as its not related to the current accident or another previous accident.I am really in unclear situation, since I bought the car. Actually, its my first time to bought a BMW car, and I am totally disappointed, as I am working in German Company Siemens Healthcare. I am quite sure that BMW Bavarian group will handle the case in compliance and in a fair way to ensure customer satisfaction.

For the past 10 months I have been unsuccessful in getting BMW North America to pay a rebate. If this was the first time I would accept this as just bad luck - however in ALL cases that I have applied for rebates the same BMW policy/process has been adopted to reject a rebate claim regardless if all documents have been submitted correctly. BMW should not offer rebates if the intent is not to pay the rebate or they make it so difficult that the average person just gives up as the rebate value does not warrant the effort.I have received excellent (amazing) service from Darian BMW for the past 7 years, however BMWs corporate policy regarding automatic rejection of rebates is an unethical business practice and is going to drive customers like myself to support competing manufacturer like Discovery who honor their programs and pay rebates promptly. I have applied for 3 rebates in the past 6 years from BMW, with only one rebate been paid after many months of continues arguments and re-submissions.Rebate 1: After months of following up I was informed that the first rebate was received by BMW but the voucher needed to be submitted by myself as the program had ended. BMW North America informed me that it is the customers responsibility to retain advertising documents as proof of rebate. As I did not retain a copy of the advertising documents, and was unable to get a copy from BMW the claim was rejected and not paid.Rebate 2: I submitted a rebate claim with advertising documents and BMW invoice. As with rebate 1 the application was in the system and been processed, however after 3 months of continues follow-up I was informed that the application was rejected as not all of the paperwork was received (even though BMW had confirmed previously that documents had been received and payment was been processed). In this case I had proof of submission and that all paperwork was provided.BMW apologized and said they would process, however 2 months later I followed up to query why I did not receive the rebate. BMW informed me that they are unable to process the rebate as they have no record of the rebate program. Having learnt from the first rebate I retained all documents. I resubmitted (3 times) the paperwork with a copy of the rebate advertising documents etc. BMW once again apologized and finally processed the rebate. Total process time over 8 months with numerous calls, emails and re-submissions.Rebate 3: Rebate 3 was submitted with Rebate 2 (same time) as the work was completed at the same time. BMW received all paperwork but in this case BMW North America forgot to process this rebate with rebate 2. BMW apologized and at first agreed to honor the rebate. After 9 months of continues follow-up BMW North America have informed me that they do not have the money to pay this rebate and that payment will need to be processed from BMW Germany? BMW North America acknowledge receipt of all the paperwork including the advertising documents. Today (02/07/2017) I receive a call from BMW North America notifying me that I am refusing to submit the paperwork and therefore BMW are unable to process the rebate???

Disappointing policy concerning factory tires that are sold with a new vehicle. Dont get caught in this SCAM, there is no warranty, so same day you purchase your new vehicle, if tires start losing air and you find there is a puncture. Too bad, you get to purchase a new tire out of pocket. You then purchase a new tire, same brand and model and the dealer warrants the new tire for 1 year? Huh. No offer from dealership or from the national headquarters of any discount or compensation for your trouble and issue. What type of customer service is this?? This is my first BMW so starting off with a very sour taste of things to come from this experience.

My wife and I were driving when our car just died on the highway which is a 2011 bmw 335i coupe with 94.*** miles that she recently bought used. I called the Bmw of Portland. They said to come over and bring the car because I have warranty, they said which expires on the 30th of this Month, I was surprised but at the same time happy. We got the car in the shop, they gave us a rental. After a few days we received a phone call saying they cannot detect the issue because the battery is dead and its not original equipment. Two months prior, we replaced the battery at specialized Bmw shop, the battery was programmed and registered like it supposed to. So now bmw wants $500 for a new battery so they can test drive the car and duplicate the problem, but the funny thing is they said they charged it overnight and it fired up but died after an hour. So I told him obviously there is something draining the battery and he said nope its just the battery isnt original equipment. So I called a different bmw dealership because they refused to change the air filter and oil change while you can see that the air filter is super dirty. The main technician guy is scandalous and lazy. Spark notes car lost complete power and when I mean complete its out like nothing works at all. Prior a week before a car started to have longer cranks but it would always start. There is a recall for the positive battery cable but when I type my vin in it says I dont have a recall. The husband and I both have BMWs. Mine is a 2010 and his is a 2011. After getting extremely crummy service at Fairfax BMW in Fairfax, VA, we decided to try Sterling BMW in Sterling, VA. Surely BMW doesnt hand out their Center of Excellence awards all willy-nilly-like, right? Well, apparently, they did in 2010. While there are many additional detailed points of their suckage, I will provide you the highlights:I took the 2010 in to get new tires. After spending $2000 on 4 new kicks mounted and balanced and alignment for the old girl, they wanted to charge us over $100 to fill the tires with Nitrogen. While I understand its a business, dont nickel and dime me when I just dropped $2000. After finally getting my car back, we drove it home. Traffic was a little rough that evening, so we werent going terribly fast. The next day, however, we noticed a major wobble. The vibration was so bad, the side mirrors were shaking. I got to work and felt like I had driven a jackhammer instead of my luxury car. I took it back in on Monday. They finally called on Tuesday, claiming it was two bad tires. Alright, fine. When we went to pick up my car, they couldnt find it. Let me repeat that. When I went to go rescue my car, they had misplaced it. It took the entire service department, a few of the sales guys and over an hour to find it. Immediately after picking it up, we magically had squeaky brakes that we had never had before. The sad thing is that Id rather listen to the brakes than to BMW Sterlings horrible excuses.During the same time, we had my husbands SUV in for several items that BMW Fairfax couldnt fix after repeated visits. These included brakes, slipping transmission, air conditioning and a rattle in the tailgate. They had the Bears car for over a week. They replaced the brakes and fixed the AC. They could not, however, recreate the slipping transmission and they said they could not hear the rattle, despite the fact that they let the technician drive our car home one night (Im still reeling at that one especially when they asked my husband if that would be okay and he said no)! Of course, we heard the rattle in the tailgate as soon as we left the dealership. Call us crazy, I guess. We changed from Audi over to BMW because of service issues. We had a 5 series and a Mini Cooper prior to getting our current cars. When we got these cars in San Francisco, we were in love with the cars and the dealership/service. At this point, we are about a millisecond away from switching to Mercedes. Apparently, our paltry two-car household matters not to the auto giant. Between the incompetence, attitude and just overall cheapness, I cant see spending another cent with BMW. Dare I say lemon? I dare.Ha! So we got a call from BMW USA. After playing phone tag for 3 weeks, the Rep rushed us through our side of what has happened. She kept saying she was sorry we felt that way anytime we mentioned how disappointed we were about the crummy service or the shoddy quality. When she asked what we wanted, DH mentioned we would love to be able to just settle things amicably without having to consult a lemon-law lawyer. She said that if that was what we wanted to do, go ahead. This doesnt bode well for their Customer Service. I will update with results.Update #2: We were promised a resolution within 3-5 business days. We are on the 4th business day and just got a call from BMW USA to tell us they dont have a resolution yet. Surprise, surprise. And, there is no update on when we will know something. We are not surprised one single bit, aside from the fact that they called at all. What do you want to bet that they will wait until we make our next payment in 6 days and then call to tell us they cant do anything?Update #3: My husband finally called and was told we would hear something early in the week during the week of 7/16. They are supposedly waiting to hear something from Fairfax BMW. Im not holding my breath.Another update: We were supposed to hear from Customer Service last week. Nada. DH called on Friday, 7/20, and asked for her extension. It rang and someone else answered. DH requested our rep and was asked what it was in regard to. He told her we are trying to give back our lemon. She said she would look up our case, looked up the information and surprise! She couldnt find anything. He asked then to get transferred to our reps phone and he left a message requesting a call back that day. Again, nothing. We got a call back from her today, 7/23. The phone didnt ring; we just got a voice mail. We called her back and havent heard a peep since then.We are giving her until tomorrow pm to get back with us and if we dont hear from her, we will be foregoing the niceties and proceeding directly past go to a lemon lawyer. In the midst of all this, other things have stopped working on the X5. The rear camera works occasionally, but it chooses when and where. The auto-telescoping steering wheel has stopped working. The transmission is still jerky. My opinion? Do not buy a BMW!

I own a BMW 545i for years. I want to tell the world what a piece of crap this 65,000 $$$ car is. I mean really BMW sure did a number on everybody with this v8 engines. I want to share all my problems with this car with you guys. DME or ECU replacement and programming $ 3300.00. Alternator bracket leak $800.00. Timing cover and valve cover oil leaks $ 1800.00. Water pump replacement $600.00. Check this one out, engine transfer coolant pipe $2000.00 and thats using the bimmer pipe. Thanks to the guys. They invented this wonderful pipe that save me $5000.00. Yeah. BMW want it 7k for this job. AC heater valves $200.00, AC compressor $1050. Im the second owner of this car. I bought it with 40,000 miles. Now the car has 74,000 miles and more problems. Now the car doesnt want to start. It cant keep idle. I think its the throttle body or it could be the DME again-- look guys, Im sharing all of this with you guys cause I see all of this. People that want to buy a use BMW pls dont. Its cheaper to buy a glass of lemonade if you know what I mean. For me I rather died than buy a BMW new or used. Again thats all I have to said about that. BMW should really pay for these lemons that have sold over the years to people. Thanks for reading my frustrations.

We purchased a 2010 BMW 535i station wagon from Bob Smith BMW in Calabasas 4 years ago. We even paid for extended warranty to 100k miles. The engine broke down on 89k miles. Contacted BMW North America AND Bob Smith to repair, no one takes responsibility to help us. After the car had to towed to Bob Smith for diagnosed (it was already diagnosed elsewhere to determined the engine went bad already) they told us it will cost over $1600 to diagnosed. Then they told us it will cost us over $20,000 to replace the engine. Yes, you read it correctly... $20,000 NOT $2,000.Bad customer service when it comes to warranty. Only if we could beg the public not to purchase BMW, we would. If youre thinking of owning one, please think twice before you do it. BMW will give you the best service when everything is going well, but the minute something is seriously wrong with the car they will show their true color. So sad & extremely disappointed with the way BMW handled the whole situation. Weve owned 4 BMW but we are going a different direction now. Unfortunately we still have another BMW 328i, cant wait to just get rid of it as well. Sighed.

Cut and dry I had nothing but nightmares with my Bmw truck 2006 x5. It was my 3rd BMW and my last brought to Hassel Bmw to service every 3-5 months with higher price tags fuel pumps, tires, halo lights had shorts all the times, coolant light, check engine light. I needed a cyclone separator which cost out of pocket 1800 for just that issue. One time hassel gave me a bill total was 6k. I laughed like who yall think paying for that then I got smart. Thank God it was paid for so I traded my bmw and that was 40k when I first brought it only got 7k blue book trade in. I was hurt but got rid of it for a 2012 Toyota Camry. Best move I ever made. Word to the wise never buy pre owned bmw from anywhere. I would tell yall about the nightmares with my 330i and x3 but I have a life and will be typing till next year. Moral of story buy bmw brand new, never pre-owned.

I send my car to BMW of Main line on Bala ave, Bala Cynwyd PA to fix the engine as I noticed a white smoke come out of tail pipe. The car have only 80 K. After they take the car for about month they give me the car. I drive the car for about two months. It was time to change the oil. I go to another BMW dealer closer from my new home. After they change the oil I noticed a ticking noise. At the time I go to pickup my car, they inform me that this issue inside the engine and I should take the car to the dealer who open the engine for me as this engine should be under cover. I called BMW of main line and I called BMW of north America. NO one helped me, no one even their manager told me to take it to BMW who change the oil and the one who change the oil, they told me to take it to the one who open the engine. They forgot that both of them are BMW and I dont care how they deal with this thing. I just need this ticking noise to be fixed. They only smile on your face when you are there to buy a car, then when you go back to fix something that they cant handle they just keep ignoring you. They look for cheap mechanic to handle our cars. They are not professionals.

I brought my 2006 325i into the dealership because the molding on the front windshield is disintegrating to the point that the windshield edges are exposed and water will start seeping into the car. The weather strips on the passenger and the driver sides are also ripped, and the roof moldings are peeling and unsightly. Obviously, the materials used when building this car were cheap. The car was not cheap! The dealer indicated that BMW will not cover this service because the car is no longer under warranty or extended warranty. My argument is that if BMW is selling the ultimate driving machine, it should stand behind its product. My son drives a 10-year-old Honda Accord that has moldings in better condition than my BMW!The representative then proceeded to tell me about other services that the car needs: wheel alignment, steering wheel service, etc. that are more important than the aesthetics (molding). I told him that if the molding on the front windshield is not repaired, I will get water damage after the next rain.I will never buy another BMW and I will make sure my friends know how cheaply made the car is, at a very steep price!

Hi my name is Kizy **. I am a newlywed and also have a baby on the way. My problem is I bought a BMW 2011 X6 that was under warranty when I purchased it for my wife in 2013. it had a 3 year warranty or 50,000 miles on the car. My problem started on August 18 2014 when the car overheated. I took it to the BMW store in Rochester, Michigan. I was told that the coolant to the turbo needed to be replaced which was fine and I picked up my car two weeks later. On September 2, 2014, I picked up my vehicle and drove it to Costco but as I was leaving Costco, I noticed that my car left a puddle of antifreeze underneath my car, so I ended up having my car towed to the dealer again. They then said they found two leaks in the car and the tank was leaking. They said they repaired the cap. My car was in the shop for over two weeks then I had to have it towed again and it stayed there for another five days!A couple days later, my low coolant light came on so I called the dealer and spoke with the service rep, **. He told me it could be a bubble in the system from when they flushed it out. They handed me a quart of coolant and told me to put it in my car and if the light goes back on, to give them a call because they were busy. So I added a quart of coolant and then a couple days later, my light went back on and because it was a Friday they could not get me in that day so they gave me two more quarts to add to my car. I did not think anything of it so I did as he instructed and added 1 quart more so light would turn off.I went to the movies with my wife and her eyes started itching and we both started to feel sick and nauseous. I was getting upset that my pregnant wife and my future baby were in danger for inhaling coolant! The next day, I called BMW North America and spoke to a lady named Betsy. She advised me to take my car back to the dealer that day and I did. I explained to BMW North America my concerns and how important it is for me to make sure my pregnant wife is safe and healthy!! I explained to everyone at the dealership all my concerns regarding my car and my familys health. On October 24, 2014, I brought my vehicle in for service because of the coolant scent in my vehicle and my car had been burning a quart of oil almost every week. BMW Rochester found that the coolant/antifreeze return lines to the turbo were leaking into the engine and the car was returned to me on November 03, 2014. On November 05, 2014, my wife and I were out and she noticed the scent and told me they did not fix my vehicle because she could still smell it and her eyes were burning again. Her senses and her smell were stronger than mine because she was pregnant. So I called BMW North America and the dealership to explain to them whats going on. I brought my car back into the dealership for this same issue now being the fifth time and I had service reps **, and the head mechanical get into my car so they could smell the coolant I have been trying to get them to fix and also told them how my car had been losing its oil. On November 06, 2014, I brought my car back into the dealership and the head service rep, **, told me coolant was coming in because the bottom pan wasnt treated properly and he was going to make sure that his top serviceman was going to treat it this time. At this time, I was angry and I felt that BMW wasnt taking my case seriously and using my pregnant wife and I as test dummies. They would fix the one problem but not all of them and if it didnt work, they would keep telling me to come back in. I just dont feel like the dealership or BMW cared about our health or safety and they used us as test dummies. On December 12, my reduced power came on and my low coolant came on. I called BMW of Rochester. They told me not to bring my vehicle back into the dealership and refused services and told me to go to Erhard of BMW at 4065 Maple Road Bloomfield Hills to fix my problem. I was really upset that I had to drive an hour and some time to go to the dealer to have my problem fixed! The service guy ** at Erhard told me on December 19, 2014, that there was a coolant leak again coming in my Vehicle from the bottom of my turbo line and the computer needed to be reprogrammed. He also said I needed the spark plugs and intake replaced. I still havent gotten my car back. My biggest concerns are my familys health and safety. Im also concerned of the internal damage and the value of my vehicle depreciating. Im at a loss for words with BMW and the dealership and dont understand why I kept getting the runaround and still do not have my vehicle correctly repaired! The distress this has caused my wife and I has been unnecessary!

I am very disappointed with the service I have received from the dealership
I am very disappointed with the service I have received from the dealerships in the Atlanta, GA area. I purchased my car on January 15, 2015 and it was one of the proudest moments in my life. I have had to take the car in several time because of the oil leak and I was told by the 2 separate dealership that they cant find an oil leak. I took my car to a certified BMW mechanic and he informed me that there is a known oil leak with BMW 750li NG3 engine but BMW refuse to fix or change the engine. I got up this morning and wrote a letter of complaint and when I was looking for the Customer Complaint information for BMW I found this website. I went through and read all the posted complaints and I see I am not the only owner who is having oil leak and my air conditioner going out.It seem to be a big problem with BMWs and I am very disappointed but I refuse to drive a car that smokes, leaking oil and the air conditioner not cooling properly. I work for a major transportation company and I am going to be sure I let everyone I work with know the problems I am having with the so call Ultimate Driving Machine. Sounds like I bought a Lemon so if we are going for action lawsuit count me in. I agree that the 750li should considered a LEMON.

I have a 2012 BMW X5 and the rims are always black and dirty. I took it into my local dealer on Dixie Road in Mississauga and was told there is nothing can be done as the brake pads are made to release the black power and the rims will always be nasty. Also I have a Samsung Note Edge phone that I just bought and was also told that it cannot be paired with the bluetooth as BMW doesnt support or have the updated system to make it work. Why pay $90,000 for a vehicle that your phone cannot pair to and have to drive around with filthy rims. Help...

I purchased a new 2007 BMW 116i 5-door in June 2009. I am a good BMW owner with regular service, etc. I had no problems until March 2013. The oil light came on, smoke was coming out of the tail pipe upon turning car on, and the car also idles funny (jugging). The service technicians and manager have given many reasons. The car only has 34,000 km driven for just under 4 years. To date, the car is still giving me problems. The local BMW SAID they contacted BMW Corporation for goodwill and help, but to no avail... the car problems still persist. I just had regular car service. I do not drive the car so as not to aggravate the problem. I felt that I was spending $$$ for quality and good name. What do I do now??? Not sure! Are there any other BMW owners having this or similar problems? Any suggestions on what to do???

Driving along and all of the sudden a fan came on with a loud blowing sound. I parked my car and planned to take it to the shop the next day. I checked the coolant, it was a little low so I added. The next while on the way to the shop, still loud blowing, the engine overheat warning came on. I pulled over and towed to the shop. As soon as they hear the fan come on, they said immediately, the water pump failed - We get about 4 or 5 a week on this car. As a result, I have to replace a water pump, and cracked radiator, $2,000. I check the internet and found many, many of the same complaints. I read that there was a recall for the X5s with the V8 engine. I imagine the design is the same and therefore the recall should include the V6 engine as well.

On Sunday, my son, whom drives a 2008 328xi was driving, when all of a sudden, abs, dcs and critical engine malfunction lights came on and the car shut off. He swerved off the road and managed not to hit anything or anyone. The people behind him were all ok as well. God was watching my child. We towed the car to BMW and when they called me with an estimate I was shocked. I asked one question, why was there no warning lights that would warn him that his engine was going to malfunction? I was told, sometimes a person wakes up in the morning and by the afternoon they had a heart attack and die. Wow! When I said that my child was the one driving, I was told, if I cared so much about my child, I should think about putting my child in a newer car that does not have 111,000 miles on it. No words! When I purchased the car 4 years ago, it had 50,000 miles on it. The salesman told me that a BMW engine just starts to put at 100,000 miles. Funny, how when something goes wrong, then its an old car. Currently, there are 57 BMWs around me that are being sold at BMW dealerships with mileage over 100,000 and they are not cheap. I am upset and saddened that a BMW service tech would be as insensitive and a whole lot more.
