Find big savings on BMW Automobile(s) at Auto Helpers. Low Prices.

The 2026 BMW 5-Series continues as one of the premier executive-class luxury sedans in BMW’s lineup, blending comfort, refinement, performance, and advanced technology into a versatile and compelling package. Positioned between the compact 3-Series and the flagship 7-Series, the 5-Series strikes a balance between everyday usability for commuters and dynamic capability for driving enthusiasts. With a reputation rooted in driver engagement, smart engineering, and upscale appointments, the 5-Series remains a strong choice for buyers seeking a luxury sedan that can serve both professional needs and personal enjoyment.

Design & Exterior Identity

The 2026 5-Series presents a sophisticated and athletic exterior:

Understated elegance: A sleek silhouette with clean lines conveys premium presence without distracting flashiness.

BMW styling cues: Classic design elements — including the iconic kidney grille, slim headlights, and precise surface detailing — communicate both tradition and forward-looking design.

Proportional balance: A long wheelbase and well-scaled overhangs give the car a poised stance that looks strong at any speed.

Refined details: Subtle enhancements such as premium finishes, aerodynamic shaping, and distinctive lighting elements reinforce luxury and quality.

The overall exterior design is modern, confident, and suitable for both executive settings and dynamic driving.

Powertrain & Performance

Performance in the 2026 BMW 5-Series is centered on balanced power and efficiency:

Dynamic engines: A range of turbocharged powerplants — typically four-cylinder and six-cylinder options — deliver confident acceleration and smooth power delivery across various driving conditions. Higher performance and hybridized options broaden capability for those seeking more power or improved efficiency.

Automatic transmission: A refined automatic gearbox enhances both shift quality and responsiveness, supporting relaxed cruising and brisk acceleration when needed.

Drive configurations: Rear-wheel drive provides classic BMW handling balance, while available all-wheel drive adds traction confidence — especially in wet or slippery conditions.

The result is a performance profile that feels eager yet composed, well suited to urban, highway, and back-road use.

Driving Dynamics & Handling

The 5-Series is crafted to be both comfortable on long journeys and engaging in spirited driving:

Precise steering: Steering feel is tuned to deliver accurate response and driver feedback without harshness.

Balanced chassis: Suspension tuning finds a middle ground between smooth ride quality and composed handling, keeping motion controlled without being too firm.

Stability and control: Chassis and traction systems work in concert to maintain confident handling through corners and at speed, enhancing both comfort and driver confidence.

Adaptive options: Available adaptive suspensions or dynamic driving modes allow drivers to tailor the ride and handling to personal preference.

The 5-Series drives with confidence and composure, offering a dynamic blend of comfort and control.

Interior Comfort & Luxury

Inside, the 2026 5-Series delivers an upscale yet functional cabin environment:

Premium materials: Soft-touch surfaces, refined upholstery, and crisp trim details create an elegant interior atmosphere.

Supportive seating: Front and rear seats are shaped for comfort and support, suitable for long trips and daily commuting alike.

Spacious layout: The cabin offers ample room for passengers, with thoughtful space utilization and comfort enhancing features.

Driver-centric ergonomics: Controls are intuitively placed and enhance ease of use without distraction, keeping the driver focused and comfortable.

The interior blends subtle luxury with practicality, supporting both passengers and drivers equally well.

Technology & Connectivity

The 2026 5-Series integrates modern technology that enhances convenience, safety, and connectivity:

Digital displays: A configurable digital instrument cluster presents key driving information in a clear, customizable format.

Infotainment system: A central touchscreen provides access to navigation, media, vehicle settings, and connectivity features via an intuitive interface.

Smartphone compatibility: Built-in systems support seamless access to calls, music, maps, and apps.

Performance and assistance displays: Additional data related to driving modes, efficiency, and trip info help drivers stay informed and engaged.

Technology supports the driving experience without overwhelming the user, blending modern capability with classic usability.

Safety & Driver Assistance

The 2026 BMW 5-Series includes a comprehensive suite of safety and driver assistance systems designed to support confident and relaxed driving:

Adaptive cruise control: Helps maintain a safe following distance and reduces fatigue on longer highway drives.

Lane-keeping features: Support stability and centering during sustained travel.

Automatic emergency braking: Provides mitigation support when sudden slowdowns are detected.

Blind-spot monitoring: Improves awareness during lane changes or busy traffic situations.

These systems work in the background to enhance comfort and confidence without intruding on the driving experience.

Strengths of the 2026 BMW 5-Series

Balanced performance: Engines and chassis deliver confident acceleration with composed handling.

Premium interior: Quality materials and thoughtful design make the cabin a pleasant space for all occupants.

Everyday comfort: Suspension tuning and ergonomics support both city travel and long highway journeys.

Modern technology: Digital interfaces and connectivity features enhance usability and convenience.

Versatile drivability: Rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive options offer tailored handling confidence in varied conditions.

Trade-offs & Considerations

Ride firmness in sport modes: Sport-leaning suspension setups may feel firmer on rough road surfaces.

Fuel economy: Performance-biased driving will increase fuel usage relative to efficiency-focused alternatives.

Cargo and rear space: As a sedan, cargo and rear headroom are competitive but more modest compared with larger or crossover alternatives.

Price range in higher trims: Advanced options, hybrid powertrains, and luxury upgrades can push the 5-Series into higher price segments.

Who the 2026 BMW 5-Series Is Best For

The 2026 BMW 5-Series is ideal for drivers who:

Want a premium executive sedan that balances comfort, technology, and performance.

Appreciate engaging dynamics without sacrificing ride quality.

Value modern connectivity and advanced safety features.

Prefer a vehicle that feels at home on both urban streets and open highways.

Desires a refined interior environment for driver and passengers alike.

Bottom Line

The 2026 BMW 5-Series continues to deliver a well-rounded luxury sedan experience that, for many buyers, sets the standard in its segment. With balanced driving dynamics, refined powertrains, a premium interior, and modern technology, the 5-Series appeals to those who want a capable daily driver that doesn’t compromise on comfort or sophistication. Whether used for daily commuting, executive travel, or long highway journeys, the 5-Series remains a strong and versatile choice in the luxury sedan landscape.

I placed a new vehicle order for a BMW X5 in September 2014, at BMW Monrovia, CA. BMW North America (NA) changed the delivery date several times. I had no confidence in them but my sales guy kept telling me different stories why they had to put off the delivery. I finally got my vehicle in November 2014. BMW NA then said they would give me a goodwill check ($1,028) for late delivery.I started to have a nightmare for this check. After two months I did not see the check, I went to ask my sale guy at the dealership. He later told me BMW NA sent a $500 check to my previous address. (My sales guy made a mistake by giving BMW NA that address as I had not lived there for two years). He said he had contacted BMW NA several times to ask for the check. It appears no one there was taking care of this matter. After hard pursuit, I finally had my check delivered to me in May 2015. That is six months later after they made their promise. I had to chase after my sales guy who was lazy by not advising me timely what was going on with this matter. The experience was horrible. There was no such thing called customer service with BMW NA. It is shame you have to keep chasing after them closely for more than six months to do their work. It is a shame with BMW NA.

I purchased a 2005 X5 last week that had been in two accidents from BMW of Oyster Bay located in Oyster Bay, Long Island. I traded in my Volvo XC90 towards purchase of the 2005 X5 grey color SUV. I brought the truck to my regular mechanic to get new front tires and my mechanic found and showed me the left and right front axles were shot and it was dangerous to drive the vehicle. So I replaced them, cost me $850 for parts alone plus labor. My mechanic also pointed out it needed lower ball joints and front control arms so I brought it back to the dealer and raised hell, How can you sell me a vehicle with all these problems? They sold me a piece of junk. They sold it to me for $16000 less my trade. I laid out 8402 dollars for the balance due. They are now fixing the vehicle and called me today to let me know they ordered air bag parts. They wont be in until Thursday. Also, I gave them a list of all the problems that have to be fixed. The drivers door has a rattle in it and closes sloppy. The front end is shot. They gave me loaner car while I wait till they fix it. They sold me a lemon.

2013 BMW X6 M - I bought this piece of crap used with only 20,000 miles on it. I drove it for only 4000 miles. After 2 months in and out of BMW dealership they are not capable to find out the solution for these issues with the front lights. Im totally frustrated and mad for the lack of response of BMW on this case. I paid 85,000 dollars for this piece of trash. I cant believe Im totally disappointed. BMW sucks. This is the last time Im going to buy these cars.

We purchased a 2005 BMW X3 in 2007 to be my wifes car. It had 22,000 miles, not bad. While its styled nicely, also with ample room for an SUV and it handles nicely, it has been a mechanical nightmare. Its our first BMW and I assumed it would be reliable and be of high quality. WRONG. It was OK for a couple years of use, up to 35,000 miles, but since then, its been one expensive repair after another. Things that SHOULDNT break in a relatively low-mileage automobile. First, it was the liftshocks that raise the back tailgate. It would drop down on your head if you didnt keep one hand holding up while unloading groceries, etc. I was able to do that repair myself with new shocks. Next, it was the back passenger window mechanism in which a plastic piece along the ridebar broke. No one was messing with the window. There was no abuse, just my wife lowering the window to bring in air. Of course, the plastic piece is part of a whole motorized ridebar/lift assembly and in order to fix (only a dealer has the parts, btw) cost $575! Ridiculous. Next, a cracked intake manifold, along with several other parts (faulty PCV valve, breather hose, vent valve) that required replacement. Cost: $1,500! This last October, it was a leaky oil pan and oil filter housing, $450! Finally, about six months ago, four lights appeared on the dashboard, AWD, brakes, I forget the other two. Well, theyre all related to the same thing: a small motor beneath the drivers side undercarriage that distributes torque to the four tires independently, thus AWD. Great concept, BUT NOT IF THE GEARS INSIDE THE MOTOR WEAR OUT which is exactly what happened. The car had about 51,000 miles when this occurred. The motor is inside a housing about the size of a football. The motor cost $1,800, plus $1,200 labor, grand total of $3,000! The labor is high because numerous things have to be removed under the car to get at, and replace, the AWD motor. Well, we have to wait to get this last fixed, but I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER BMW AGAIN, EVER!! I could understand one fluke, one faulty part, but this has become an awful financial burden for us. My Toyota, on the other hand, has 74,000 miles and never a problem! Only basic maintenance: oil, tires, brakes... So you figure it out, which is the better vehicle?

I own a 2011 BMW X3 with 98,000 miles. Bought it new. Never an issue with car. Out of blue it refuses to go into any gear other than park. Have it towed to BMW dealership in Tenafly, NJ. Am told it needs some sort of electronic component replaced in transmission. No indicators of issue prior to this. Repair charge $5000. So I now have to pay 10% of original purchase price for car to be drivable. A car with very normal usage and no problems. I have no recourse. BMW deaf to my concern about the costs. Done with BMW. Never again.

Between replacing wheels and tires the electrical problems are mounting up. Now I hear clunking from the transmission. I have had injectors replaced two times, fuel pump two times, rear tail lights, one front headlight and I wish I could only tell you about the gremlins with the seat belt, turning the wheel and having the phone call someone. Having the roof not open and close properly. You wouldnt believe.

I was sold a lemon, bought brand new car (2012 BMw x6 35i drive) with only 10 miles that had a manufacturers defect that had to be fixed 3 more times within a 24 month period. Asked to be put in a new car because it had not been 30 days since purchase and was denied. BMW changed my oil and a month later my engine locked up on me because of their negligence. Horrible service treats you like a number, damages your car purposely if you ask me so that they can make $$. All of a sudden I have all these MAJOR issues when car goes out of warranty.Looking for a good attorney because I want every penny I spent back for all the pain, and suffering. My car constantly had oil issues with leaking oil and exhaust issues. The car rides like crap since they have called themselves fixing it. Help. Anyone out there with similar issues. Maybe we can try and get a class action going, or if you know of a good attorney that specializes in lemon laws please I would be ever so grateful for the information. The car has had 3 safety recalls on it. I will NEVER purchase another BMW!

As a midlife crisis buy, I sold my very dependable 05 Honda Pilot and opted for a 1 owner, exceptionally clean, 3rd row X5 with 96K. I got it for a good price at the auction, but it was an as is sale. Immediately after purchase, I noticed an intermittent clunk and bounce in the transmission/motor area about 1 second after startup. I took it to the dealer, and they told me the fix was a software issue for which I paid $340 for. Well, that didnt work. The repair rep told me there was no other fix, that it would be a waste of money looking for the problem, and to live with it till it broke completely. That was comforting. Then the other day, the radiator reservoir blew up which cost me another $290, because it happened in the middle of nowhere and the only repair shop knows that. I knew the windshield washer pump wasnt working, now the fluid is leaking out and the the washer fluid low light is permanently on. To fit it, you have to take the right tire and wheel well liner off. Another $200 fix. There is a loud clicking noise from the motor which seems to come from a design flaw in the head which doesnt allow oil to get to the lifters fast enough. Ive only had this POS for 3 weeks. I cant wait to see what failing item sucks my wallet dry next. Ive never had roadside assistance insurance with any of my cars, and never needed it, but with BMW, its a must. Definitely wont be buying a money sucking BMW again.

Im owner of BMW X6 5,0 Xdrive (2009). I bought this car like a new one. This is my third BMW. After 63 000km BMW service-car repair-a new engine. Because the car big, oil losses. After this repair many times Engine Fault on my board computer BMW X6. After Engine Fault a complete loss of power. Very danger! Every time in BMW service they told me... Dont worry.. we will repair it. After BMW service -car repair - a new both turbo there - but next ENGINE FAULT, BMW service-car repair- a new injections there - but next ENGINE FAULT, BMW service-car repair- a new cylinders, but next ENGINE FAULT, BMW service-car repair-a new injections again, but next ENGINE FAULT. BMW service-car repair-fuel pump, but next ENGINE FAULT... BMW service-car repair both catalysts and more other parts... but ENGINE FAULT.. is still again and again there! The inappropriate condition of the car (BMW X6 5,0 xi) has several times put not only the lives of my family and me at risk but threatened also the lives of other drivers on the road. All these extremely risky situations were caused by repeated errors in the engine when in use followed by a complete loss of power. Dont buy BMW, if you love your life and your family!

The car worked pretty well overall, but occasionally there were issues with the iDrive. The iDrive just shut down a few times. Also the UI of the iDrive is annoying - using the radio is a hassle. I had the car for 5 years and never really learned how to use the radio. I liked the All-wheel drive feature though. Overall I was satisfied and would consider getting another 5-series. Im 67 and the car fit me well enough. I never had to spend any money on repairs. There were some issues such as Bluetooth not working great that bothered me, but no dealbreakers.

I filed for bankruptcy on the 7th of July, 2010. BMW financial services was not listed. I kept the vehicle (certified used, finance purchase in 2007) and continued my monthly payments as per contract which was signed when I purchased the vehicle. After a year out of bankruptcy, this August 2011, I was informed that I do not have any grace period. I have written to BMW and the reply was, the contract can not be changed because of bankruptcy. I am not asking to change the due date which is the 28th of each month, the 8 or 10 days grace period is in question of which I had the advantage of, before and after bankruptcy which helped me to meet my monthly payment. BMW has taken away this grace period. This is terrible in these days when the economy (lack of jobs) is a bad shape. I just have merely a year to pay off on the vehicle. Does BMW care about good customer relationship as they can re-posses the vehicle and sell vehicles more than the owed balance?

We purchased a 2010 BMW 535i station wagon from Bob Smith BMW in Calabasas 4 years ago. We even paid for extended warranty to 100k miles. The engine broke down on 89k miles. Contacted BMW North America AND Bob Smith to repair, no one takes responsibility to help us. After the car had to towed to Bob Smith for diagnosed (it was already diagnosed elsewhere to determined the engine went bad already) they told us it will cost over $1600 to diagnosed. Then they told us it will cost us over $20,000 to replace the engine. Yes, you read it correctly... $20,000 NOT $2,000.Bad customer service when it comes to warranty. Only if we could beg the public not to purchase BMW, we would. If youre thinking of owning one, please think twice before you do it. BMW will give you the best service when everything is going well, but the minute something is seriously wrong with the car they will show their true color. So sad & extremely disappointed with the way BMW handled the whole situation. Weve owned 4 BMW but we are going a different direction now. Unfortunately we still have another BMW 328i, cant wait to just get rid of it as well. Sighed.

My girlfriend drove her BMW 328I up from Florida on Sept. 24th, and when she got it here, she noticed that the window was down and would not roll up (motor broken). It was late at night, so we didnt want to leave the car out on the street with a window down in NYC. We called BMW Roadside Assistance and they had a tow truck company come pick up the car. Since it was late, they said they would take the car to their lot and then drop it off at BMW Dealership the following morning. The next morning, the tow company called us and said they dropped it off and it would be ready in a couple of days. We then called the BMW dealership when we thought the car would be ready, and they informed us that they never received the car nor had any information on the car. It turned out that the tow company wrecked the car, and they were trying to cover it up and fix the car themselves. They basically took the car to a chop shop in the Bronx and it looked like they were trying to replace parts of the car with aftermarket parts that were not BMWs. We went to the Bronx with the cops and had another tow truck come out and move the car to the BMW dealership. It has now been exactly 1 month and BMW has not even started working on the car yet. We filed claims with BMW Roadside Assistance and BMW Customer Service, and they never get back to us when we call to try and figure out what is going on. I have been getting the runaround from everyone I speak with and when I ask to speak to a supervisor, they say they have no other contacts they can give. The BMW dealership has tried to contact Roadside Assistance, and they are not even able to get a hold of them. Now the dealership wants to charge $85 a day for storage of the car. Meanwhile, weve been without a car this whole time and there is no end in sight on when the car will be fixed. At this point, Im not really sure what to do, or what legal action we should take. Any help you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated.

In addition to this issue I have had other issues as well. My first impression Car: Terrible Car. Please do not buy BMW!!!

I took my BMW 328i with 48,000 miles in to the BMW Birmingham service department on a Friday afternoon for a new battery. I was told by the service advisor that it needed coils, a new belt, belt tensioner, and some type of “boot” due to an oil leak. They quoted my over $2,000 for the repair. I told them I could not afford that much unexpected repair work and agreed to the battery and coils, which they said were a minimum to get the vehicle running properly at a cost of about $1,250. I also told them that my 16-year-old daughter drives the vehicle to school (around 5-10 miles a day) and that I was having it repaired because she wanted to drive it to a school dance the following day. 10 days later and less than 100 miles following the $1,250 repair, the vehicle was towed to the private garage of a retired BMW technician due to a coolant leak. After he inspected the vehicle, he told me that there was nothing wrong other than the radiator hose clamp had been removed and slid down the hose at the heater core. This could be seen easily by a BMW technician. He repaired the vehicle by reconnecting the hose/hose clamp and replacing the coolant.I called Birmingham BMW 6 times without a return call over a 10 day period and went by the dealership in-person once to speak with them about my issue and no one would talk with me. When I asked to speak with a manager and for a business card for the manager I was told that everyone was in a meeting and that they did not give out business cards. I persisted for a contact in writing for management and the wrote a name and number on a post-it note.I shared this with BMW of North America and asked for help contacting the dealership. I received a call from a service advisor the following day, who proceeded to make excuses when I shared my concerns then he transferred me to a service manager who acted in disbelief when I told him what happened to me. I shared my concern that the service department was pushy about the need for service with urgency to do it quickly before something broke and rendered the car undriveable. I question this culture within the dealership and asked the service manager how a technician could miss something as obvious as a clamp that had been disconnected and slid down the hose? I was told that the technician would not see an issue with the cooling system since he was working on the battery/coil pack/electrical system. To which I replied, then how did they find issues related to an oil leak and the belt and belt tensioner? And they had no response other than they would check into it. I have had no further response and feel that I cannot trust BMW Birmingham, Alabama to service my vehicle.

BMW is the Toyota of Germany. Reading all the reviews, the non-response of the company, and the mechanic/engine problems of the car, I cant help but remember what this company is selling - a prestige status symbol. Anyone whos thinking of buying a BMW needs to take a trip to Berlin, Germany first. In the debt-ridden capital, you will see that BMWs are the bread and butter cars of Germany. BMWs line up the streets next to homeless shelters, graffiti parks, and taxi stands. Delinquent juvenile teenagers drive a BMW. Older middle class ordinary citizens drive a BMW. People who have no teeth have a BMW. BMWs are just about the most commonplace car in Germany, like a Toyota Camry here. Somehow, the brilliant marketing campaign and the high price tag for initial purchase and maintenance have convinced North Americans that BMWs are a luxury ultimate driving machine. Autobahn sounds so cool in English. In German, auto means car, bahn means way (as in U Bahn, sub-way, S Bahn, another type of subway, and autobahn, car-way or highway). Before you think that the company will value your $400,000 spending over 10 years, think again. They dont really care as they are already laughing all the way to the bank. In fact, the more expensive the maintenance, the more prestigious the brand. The brand is for people who have money to burn. The more mechanic problems, breakdowns, and barriers the company creates, the more it sets the people apart in who can maintain this prestige factor. Before you buy a BMW, go to Germany and spend a week in the major cities and walk around the poor areas. And once you see how commonplace BMWs are, the more youll think twice about doing what you are doing.

Im a repeat owner of convertibles and on cooler days it is VERY common to place the heater on high when the top is down. I purchased a 2011 BMW 128i convertible with 30k miles in April 2014 and immediately discovered that when the heater was on very high or high for a period the radio will shut down and refuse to work. After an attempt (not knowing what that attempt was) to fix this car the dealer and BMW complaint division refuses to fix it or admit to a design FLAW. Has anyone else experienced this problem. My ADVICE to anyone thinking of buying a BMW convertible - check this out closely or shy away. They will not attempt to fix it nor admit it is a Design FLAW. It is REALLY inconvenient to drive in the cooler weather. Once the radio shuts down the heater must be turned off and returned to cool to continue listening to the radio. Never had this problem with any other convertibles. I will be selling this car!

Over the past 2 years my vehicle has been in the repair shop to have the following fixed and they simply just say they cant fix the following: a) A car that just stalls out of the blue for no reason. b) Brakes that squeal in reverse. c) Also the brakes needed to be replaced after 10K km!!! Which was not covered by warranty. This is ridiculous and there needs to be a recall on that model - 2018 X1.d) The trunk closes when you are half way inside of it. Very scary. I requested they disengage that automatic setting and they were unable to do it. ???? My 2005 645 CI is as awesome as it is a nightmare. It drives great, it looks great but I have had problems with the convertible top since I bought the vehicle. While driving with the top closed, a warning comes on: convertible top not locked. At this point the convertible top and the rear window cannot be operated, and if the rear window was open at the time that the warning came on, such window is stuck in the open position. At times such warning disappears while I continue driving a few moments or a few miles, at times it disappears after the engine has been shut down, and at times it continues to stay on until the problem is fixed by the dealer. The car has been at the dealer for this reason more than 15 times, the rotation sensors have been changed three times and they have been re-adjusted and/or re-positioned the other times. In 2010, I wrote about such problem to the management of the local dealer, as well as to BMW USA. The malfunction continues to happen, regardless. I just got back the vehicle from the dealer 2 days ago (beginning of August 2012), still for the same reason. I am reaching the point where if the problem re-occurs, I am going to dump my loved/hated car.

After driving Mercedes Benz for over 10 years, I wanted something different
After driving Mercedes Benz for over 10 years, I wanted something different so I purchased a 2009 BMW X6 50i. I had this vehicle for 3 months already and my vehicle has been to the dealership thrice for major issues, fuel injection, oil leak, and now, something about the damn exhaust or whatever. I have warranty but to be having these issues and my vehicle is at 51k miles makes no sense. The techs have no idea what they are doing because they rely on diagnostic test that don’t tell you everything. I found out that the issue I’m having now was replaced previously. I contacted corporate and told them that if this vehicle is a lemon, I want a replacement vehicle or reimbursement because this makes no sense. Also, they don’t give loaners unless you purchased a vehicle from that dealership. **. I have a rental for over a week and my vehicle is still not fixed. I get a phone call from the dealership tech saying, oh we found more issues. Just fix my damn car so I can move on. I’m already looking to switch out. Don’t buy BMW products, a waste! I didn’t have this issue with Mercedes or any other company.

I have purchased 3 consecutive BMWs. I love the brand. Ive had my most recent vehicle for 3 months, a 535i, and its a great car. I noticed that one of my door handle trim pieces was missing and the other was loose. I looked for damage and there wasnt any. I went to the dealer and they were very helpful and accommodating. They took pictures, took notice of there not being any damage, and they said they would contact BMW on my behalf. A few days later the dealer called me to let me know that BMW would not offer assistance. The resolution they suggested is that I purchase new door handles plus the cost of programming comfort access because the trim pieces are not sold separately. ($500+ Per Handle.)After, I have spoken to BMW independent of the dealer and they are asking for more pictures. I dont understand this since they already have them. I conclude that the trim pieces have fallen off due to a problem with the adhesive not performing to specs (The trim piece itself is made of plastic with tape strip on the inner side). I am very disappointed that as a loyal customer, I would be dismissed in this fashion. I just spent over $60k for this vehicle.

I have a BMW with this aftermarket warranty. The front seat stopped working so I brought it into BMW. They told me that it was the motor, chair rail and regulator that need to be fixed. The warranty people told BMW they would only authorized the motor.. All other parts and labor associated with those parts are not covered. BMW mentioned to them that it all comes as one unit. All parts work together and need to be replaced together. Customer service stated that they did not want to cover it since on the paperwork it only stated MOTOR was to be covered. Seriously??? They are going to cover the motor but none of the components that go along with that motor or what actually needs to be replaced because of that faulty motor?? OHH.. BMW also told them that my oil filter housing is slowly seeping oil and needs a new gasket/seal. Warranty people denied claim stating they will only fix it when the seal is actually leaking oil and not just seeping! Really, so basically lets not be proactive and fix it now before it turns into something major! Then they can cherry pick what they want to fix and leave you with the rest of the bill. I hate this warranty company!

BMW Nightmare! 7 months ago my 2008 X5 died while I was driving the vehicle. Fortunately, there were very few cars on the road at the time. I jumped the car and took it straight to United BMW in Duluth, Georgia. They informed me that everything checkout fine and I simply needed a new battery. Fast forward 7 months and the vehicle died again while I was driving at a speed of 45 mph. I nearly got rear-ended. My family and I made it home after getting the car jumped, only to have it die in my driveway. Oh wait! It gets better. The vehicle was towed to United BMW in Duluth this morning. I explained the history to the representative named Scott **. Scotts response to me is as follows: 1. You must drive the vehicle at least 20 miles a day. 2. You must lock the vehicle when youre not driving so the system completely shuts down. 3. We recommend you purchase supplemental power for the vehicle to ensure the batter is adequately charged.4. If your fuel is low you may also experience problems. My response to Mr. Scott **: No one in their right mind would purchase a BMW based on what you described! His response, My job is to give you the information. I apologize if your sales representative failed to do so. Needless to say, Im afraid to let my wife or kids operate this vehicle. BMW, IF THIS ISSUE DOES NOT GET FIXED ONCE AND FOR ALL, AND WE END UP IN AN ACCIDENT, YOU WILL PAY DEARLY!

The car shuts off, stalls and shuts off, air conditioner doesnt work, alert lights on dashboard light up and now gears arent shifting and car cannot move into drive, reverse, neutral and park. So now I have no car. BMW has just given me the run around not addressing the problems finding other issues just to cover and hide their blatant disregard of the 3 series issues. I saw that there are many complaints and the there is a place to officially file a complaint to NHTA 888-327-4236. Please file a complaint if you’re experiencing any issues. 2013 335xi CPO 3 bent rims sold to me by BMW of south shore Hingham Mass. First I must start by saying Im writing this review with the facts and non-bias against BMW South Shore Gallery. I have owned 4 BMWs within the last couple of yrs. I recently went to BMW of south shore to trade my SUV for a sedan. Upon my arrival I notice that they had a new facility quite spacious and clean. Not many sales folks on the floor... However after a few minutes I was approach by a young gentleman which was quite articulate. We struck up a deal on my trade for a CPO sedan. After signing and ready for pickup a few days later I notice the car was not cleaned to my expectation... So I told them about it and they asked me to bring it back... so I did. After a few weeks later I was driving going 93 north. During my acceleration I notice that there was heavy vibration when the speedometer was 70 mph... I did not think anything of it... I thought this was just maybe balancing needed. Within a 2-week span I decided to call and make appointment to take a look... After arriving at the service area... I was in quite shock because the first thing the service advisor said was you will need wheel and tire insurance... Im like wtf in my mind... Ok I humored him... Then he said hes going to put it on the lift and show me that its not uncommon that I have bent rims? But 3 rims... How the hell did he know that the rims was bent... After putting it on the lift... he called me to look. He stated that 3 of my rims was bent and needed to be fixed. Keep in my mind I barely had this car for less than an month prior to observing this problem.I told them that Im not responsible for this, as this car is fairly new and I just picked it up. I was appalled by the next comment... that its not uncommon to have 3 or 4 rims bent... Seriously. I said I was going to go directly to BMW and complain of this deceitful practices on CPOs... and especially the folks in the service area selling you unnecessary things... BMW puts a lot into their CPOs and South Shore is putting the money back in their pockets... Right now Im still waiting for a call from them to fix my 3 bent rims which they knowingly sold the car to me with. The average driver would not have notice this issue if they were driving at 55 mph... So beware...Always go over the car thoroughly with the sales person... and have them put it on the lift and have 4 tires rotating so you can see if the rims are bent. My wife brought her car there several times for service and each time it has always been a problem because they serviced the wrong thing... including taking off parts and not putting it on back correctly... Theres no accountability with the service advisor... and mechanics. If you do purchase a car please take to another BMW dealer and have them go over it and I bet you will find quite a few discrepancies...

My 2009 BMW 328xi had trouble starting one day. I brought it to my mechanic
My 2009 BMW 328xi had trouble starting one day. I brought it to my mechanic and he said everything looked fine. My car had been serviced by BMW until I bought the car in December 2014. So in Feb 2015 when I was driving my car on the NYS thruway, it shut down!!! The car shut down!!! Fuel Pump warning came on. I was fortunate I was able to steer the car off to the shoulder and called AAA. They towed it to my mechanic less than two miles (how lucky) and my mechanic replaced the fuel pump, even though he said, it looks fine. August 2015 (less than 6 months later) I was traveling in the Bronx going through a light when AGAIN car shut off. I was able to coast to a gas station. Lucky again. FUEL pump warning again. I called my mechanic and he said it seems like something more serious.I called corporate and they suggest to get my car to the Spring Valley NY BMW dealer where they say first, the pump was not a BMW pump (it was, my mechanic actually bought the part from the dealer!!). Then dealer said it was on backwards.. PLEASE!!! They had my car a week and I asked if they diagnosed the problem. They said no but they replaced fuel pump AND fuel tank. 3 weeks later I am driving on Route 17 South Middle lane, 60 miles an hour, traffic all around, and YES fuel pump light and car shuts down!!! I swerved and was able to get the car to safety. LUCKY 3 times!!! BMW has a serious problem with fuel pump. Today the car is at the dealer. I logged a formal complaint, a Liability complaint with BMW 3 weeks ago and again this week. This is a serious matter. This car is a DEATH trap!!! Today I received a call from Corporate stating that they will Not pursue this matter in any form!! Can you believe this?? BMW needs to accept responsibility on this. I was told by a lawyer that if I was hurt or was killed I would have a case. I will not wait until there is a fatality. We need to do something now. Please anyone with fuel pump issues, please contact me. I am relentless and will have BMW accept their responsibility.

BMW is claiming that a bird could strip paint from my 2014 X3, which I purchased just 3 months ago. This pre-certified car is awesome in every way, but I have owned 2 BMWs and 4 Volvos prior to this and have never had any damage to the finish from a bird. They are telling me that the damage is outside their warranties. I find it hard to believe they do not warrant their finishes. Stay away from this car; paint is fragile. 2006 BMW 5501 - I purchased my car new from Santa Barbara, CA dealer in December 2006. I paid over $60,000. By the end of 2010, I noticed the paint on hood was fading and a white cloud began to appear. I took it to the dealer, who did not have any suggestions and thought it might be from car washes. But there was nothing they could do, it was not covered by the warranty. It got worse and spread to the roof of the car (but the sides and back look like brand new). I had another shop look at it. He said waxing would do me no good, that the car would have to be repainted and that the car was likely damaged when it was brought in on the boat. They probably repaired it and in doing so, had to repaint or touch up the paint, altering the original paint job and the clear coat finish. I have brought the paint condition to the dealer both in person and in writing, but I get the same answer - not warranted. In addition, the rubber around both my front and rear windshields has totally disintegrated. There is nothing left. I brought this to the attention of the dealer. I was told my car was out of warranty. Other BMW owners have told me they have experienced the same. This seems to be a common problem. You would think BMW could afford to use a higher quality rubber on their vehicles. I have had several issues with this car. A bad exhaust smoking problem, while my car was under warranty, which took months of complaint writing to the dealer as well as BMW North America to finally have them diagnose the problem and make the repair. I love driving the car and the BMW look, but I am so disappointed with the quality and the service of BMW. For the amount of money they charge and the advertisements regarding ultimate driving machine, you would think they would do better in the customer relationship department and stand behind their product.

I have a 2004 BWM X5 4.4, sticker price of just under $66K in 2004 dollars. In August 2014 I installed a BMW trailer hitch so I could tow my travel trailer. Today Im told by BMWNA customer relations that BMW will no longer be providing that part for the older X5s. Is a 10 Year old $66K vehicle really disposable? Shame on BMW for their practices and policies. Anyone else interested in filing a class action lawsuit?

Both BMW of Dallas and Classic BMW of Plano have horrible service centers. Most recently, my service adviser, Richard ** insisted I missed my appointment day because the online appointment scheduler didnt catch the update I sent him, even though I was sent an email reminder for the day I showed up. ** left me a message on estimates but never answered or returned a call to confirm authorized work. I left a message with the service manager, who never called back either. I never saw him while paying the invoice and only while driving home and the left signal stop working did I realize they disassembled the tail light power supply.Last month, I made an appointment over the phone to have the door handle fixed at Classic BMW of Plano. When I arrived that afternoon for the arranged appointment where I described the issue, they said they wouldnt even look at it until the next day, if I leave it overnight. I left and called for the service manager. He/She never called me back. I talked with someone at the BMW USA toll free customer service center. They never followed up.Last year, I had a bad experience with BMW of Dallas and ** when I explained the passenger window was rattling, ** kept the vehicle the whole day and call me later to explain the rattling was music CDs in the door pocket. I took my husband back with me who demonstrated the rattling noise without the music CDs in the door pocket. We had to bring the vehicle back another day for repairs. Back in 2007, I wanted to purchase a vehicle from BMW of Dallas and they wouldnt let me test drive the vehicle. Because of this, I shop and purchase my vehicles from Autobahn BMW in Fort Worth.I love driving the ultimate machine. I have never complained about the expensive cost of maintenance even though reliability is awful for such a high priced vehicle. My biggest complaint is the service I receive at the Dallas area dealerships. And because service is so poor, it is time for me to admit to my friends and family BMW is a poor option and consider another make of vehicle.

This car just fell apart. Its a 2008 BMW 750Li. The transmission went bad, the electronics went out and the worst part was the door would just open and not close when moving. I complained and they said they would recall but I have not heard anything about fixing the cars. A rep sends me an email for almost a year now many more saying that BMW in Germany is working on it. I had to get rid of the car because it was unsafe. I dont want the car fixed. I want compensation for my anxiety. Who protects consumers... who fights for the rights of the consumer. These cars should never have been allowed on the road. They have been numerous complaints about the safety and mechanical design quality of this car from a certain time frame. The complaints seem to disappear from the web after a period of time.

Our 2003 X5 has just hit 50,000 miles. We have replaced the battery 6 times. Our drivers side door and passenger door would not close in cold temperatures. Our air conditioner quit, was replaced and never worked after spending $1000 for the repair. I could go on. But this time, I went to Watertown BMW CT and after being told countless times about how my issues (11+ repairs that have recurred), that these things are normal and I just dont drive my car enough. The air bag that never worked when we bought the car and finally paid to have repaired post warranty. It still never worked. It was a different part this time and would cost another $600, and on and on. I heard excuses every time. The loaner is all good, but I dont have time for this. Finally this time, I asked about a tail light. The warning was check brake light, check rear lights. I was told by the service manager that my $516 diagnostic fee would have picked this up, it must have been because my brand new one week old 7th battery died right before I took the car in. He swore that their diagnostics picked up everything including the auxiliary fan that wouldnt shut off causing my brand new battery to die for the 6th time. The minute I got into the car, I discovered the same check brake light warning. It is a tail light out. I called and he said, we do have intermittent problems with the lights. I said, I asked you to check it. He blew it off then oh well maam, you can bring it back in and we will fix it. So much for the reliability of their diagnostics! We have owned 4 BMWs in our lifetime. This one has been a joke literally. My car hood is always up outside of our business in town charging the car battery where all can see. The service guy said, we sell extension cords for that. Do you want to buy one?. I say we use it all the time!. BMW has lost their way. I cant say enough about how the dealership will not pay anything that BMW wont pay to them. Therefore, they are experts at making excuses that seem plausible until your warranty is up and you have no recourse. Dont buy a BMW. Also, may I add that the parking lot was full of repair cars that I couldnt find a place to park the loaner when I returned it?

I purchased a 2013 328xi for my wife in June 2016. It came with 18 alloy wheels and brand-new Pirelli run-flat tires. After a few months, the rear passenger tire kept losing air. I took it in for inspection 8/23/17 and was told it was due to a cracked wheel. My wife never hit anything with that wheel that would cause such severe damage. The service rep said that she probably hit a pothole and that the run-flats dont provide enough cushion to protect the wheel. In other words, its a defect in the wheel/tire assembly (borne out by a class-action suit settled by BMW for cracked wheels on the Z4 in 2015). The solution offered by the service agent was to replace the wheel and tire for $1,035. I asked if BMW would take back the run-flats (with only 5700 miles) and replace with conventional tires so I wouldnt risk another wheel crack from a pothole. The answer was no.So I paid for a new wheel (discounted 50% by BMWNA after filing a complaint) and took the car to Discount Tire and bought 4 new Conti Extremes in trade for the run-flats at $30 each. Cost me $758. They inspected the right rear tire and saw no evidence of damage. There was also no evidence of impact to the wheel - just the hairline crack. BMW of San Diego could have done the right thing by replacing the defective wheel at no charge (the car is still under warranty), but instead tried to fleece me for the full cost of a new wheel and a tire that wasnt damaged. In fairness, the service manager, William **, made a good-faith effort to make this right. But the dealership and BMW didnt care. BTW, the car actually handles much better with the Continental Extreme Contacts, and the ride is much more comfortable. We just have to pray that she wont get a flat, because there aint no spare.

I purchased a used 2005 BMW 525i almost two years ago and it had 52,000 miles on it. Thank goodness I decided to purchase an extended warranty through my lender because at 75,000 miles or so, my transmission started acting up. This vehicle has not been neglected and has been taken good care of. However, I had transmission fault messages on my computer, so I took it in. Turns out that my transmission needed to be replaced. After my $7,000 transmission was put in, I still had problems. They reprogrammed the vehicle to try and fix the problem, and Im still having problems. Its also really slow on take off and it shifts from 2nd to 3rd really hard. And when I slow down, it shifts really hard from 2nd to 1st. All in all, my warranty company has paid out over $10,000 in repairs over the past two years, almost half of what I paid for the vehicle. That is just ridiculous. Ive read so many peoples horror stories about their BMWs transmissions failing and I just wanted to share my story too. I know that BMW is not taking responsibility for any of their vehicles so I felt like I should share. The more people that come forward, the better. Maybe one day BMW will own up to producing some rotten transmissions in their vehicles. All I can say is thank goodness for warranties. But its not about that. Its about your car, your BMW that you love so much, being in service for a month, and having issue after issue. Its frustrating and BMW needs to to tighten up their products.

Bought 2014 BMW X3 with 3900 miles and used as loaner at Silver Spring, MD BMW dealer. Right after 1st oil change at the dealer, I can hear loud ticking noise coming from the engine. Strange!! Next week took back to dealer to get it checked to get it fixed. At the end of the day dealer called me saying they could not find any trouble with the car and they compare the noise with brand new 2014 BMW X3 and the noise is normal. Took the car back home and after week the ticking noise is still constant and now I can hear it on the upper first floor window of my home. What a disappointment!! I will take back to dealer as I did research on internet and found that this kind of trouble lot of other people have also. I have 2012 Honda CRV and it still runs very silky smooth and cost half of this BMW X3. If BMW dealer cannot fix it, I will fight till they buy back it from me as this is nothing but a lemon. No more BMW in my car shopping ever!!

Fuel pump replaced after warranty due to it spraying fuel all over me and the motorcycle. Flange area of pump cracked. This year BMW recalls pump for cracking, says it will reimburse if you replaced with BMW part and have receipt supplied. I had both and then they say no. Asked for written reason why refusal and they say they didnt have to. Customer service is the worst. This is the second time this motorcycle has tried to kill me. The rear disc brake rotor carrier broke letting the rear disc rotor lock up my rear wheel causing the motorcycle to skid out of control. Filed this complaint with traffic administration. Replaced part. New part is now made out of steel. Old one was aluminum.

I am the third owner of an 08 BMW 535I with a bad high pressure fuel pump (recall) that has been replaced two times in the last three years. This would be the third time for replacement, but Gwinnett BMW refuses to replace it. They said it was the alternator, and OM battery that caused the problem to the high pressure fuel pump and my warranty or recall would not be honored. There is nothing wrong with my alternator or battery, they are operating properly. If there is an OM battery in the vehicle it had to be placed in the vehicle prior to my purchase. Last service was at Global Imports in Atlanta, GA.

Now I tried to lease another one, because my 2017 lease ended. They are telling me that I owed them money from 2014 lease. I called to resolve the issue, they were rude and arguing. My wife and I purchased a 2014 BMW X3 xDrive 28i in August of 2014. The car we chose was a certified preowned car, meaning it had low mileage and additional inspections/warranties applied. We purchased the car with about 7k miles on it and it was a good car for the first few years we owned it. In the last year, we needed to replace several expensive items including the oil gasket, most of which cost upwards of $1k plus. The final straw was the transmission dying. My wife was on her way home from the store when the vehicle gave her a Drive Train Malfunction warning and urged her to pull over and stop the vehicle. Once stopped, the vehicle would no longer allow itself to be shifted out of park. We managed to get it on a flatbed tow truck and then to a repair center. The repair center diagnosed a faulty transmission which baffled them as the car has less than 90k miles on it and had been maintained fully by BMW certified techs. The fact remained, however, that it was indeed the transmission that would need replaced. If we had decided to go this route, the cost would be roughly $6k and a month of time if we went with a third party repair or closer to $9k if we went with a dealership. The car at this point in its life is worth roughly $10k, so neither repair is worth it. So essentially, were left with a very heavy paperweight that we now must dispose of. Ive had low end beater variety Mazdas last twice as long as this luxury vehicle. I will not be purchasing again and will be warning anyone I can get to listen to me off of BMWs going forward.

The remote key on my 2006 330xi stopped working and would not unlock the car. Once inside the car, I tried the central unlocking button on the dash. It locked the driver’s side door but did not control any of the other doors. Before leaving the car again, I therefore pushed down the lock buttons on the passenger and rear doors. At this point when I tried to open any of the 4 doors from inside the car using the door handles, they did not open. None of the car doors would open from inside the car. This is a frightening and potentially, a very dangerous defect in the cars design. BMW of NA will not acknowledge this as a defect or a safety issue. The only thing they are sure about is that they will not pay for it.

I DID PURCHASE A BRAND NEW BMW 520 D from BMW from the Cochin dealer in India, Completed 3 years and done less than 20000KM, regularly serviced at BMW, last servicing done at 15000 km. Recently it was noticed that only one of the rear brake pads had worn out and had badly damaged the disc while all other brake pads are okay and the BMW intelligent maintenance system display showing all brake pads okay. The system is showing all brake pads okay, a rear brake pad replacement after 4100KM and front brake pad replacement after 37000KM ! THE KEY DATA AND THE Printout also confirms that while it failed to monitor and display any warning even after the pads badly damaged, the disc (we noticed it after hearing abnormal sound, otherwise we would have stranded some WHERE). Although the dealer said that he will write to BMW, as expected he came back to us asking for our consent to repair the discs for approx. US$1400. He failed to give any explanation for the failure of the BMW intelligent maintenance system, CBS, The I drive display, VEHICLE information display, etc. and is not ready to own any responsibility to ensure a reliable system, leaving us doubts about the reliability of other data shown on the display about the wear and tear, fluid levels, etc. Such an irresponsible response is unacceptable for expensive vehicles as the systems has to be reliable and if there is a fault and consequent damage, inconvenience to its clients, the company should take responsibility and get the matters sorted out at the shortest time possible.

I bought a brand new BMW 530i in 2004. Since I am an independent consultant in the software industry and often work at home, I dont drive that much so until yesterday, it has only about 80,000 miles on it. I was driving on a bridge in San Francisco Bay Area in a slow traffic yesterday, both transmission and engine burned down suddenly (with regular maintenance). The car has been giving me troubles from the first week after I bought it. Whenever I drove in slow traffic, the on board computer will show a warning to tell me Transmission Fault. I have to pull over to turn the engine off and turn it back on again; otherwise, I cant drive it.My BMW - I was told the three letters can be translated into Dont Touch Me into Chinese - finally dead yesterday. I paid $400 to tow it to a BMW (dont touch me!) dealership near where I live, and just got a call from them and told me the total cost to repair is more than $16,000. I am filling a form online to donate the BMW junk to a charity now. In my will, I will ask my son not to buy Dont touch me in his life, and ask him to tell his son not to do so neither.

I purchased a new 325i in 04 and drove it for 11 years. For the first 100,000 miles, it had absolutely zero issues. Never had to take it in unless for an oil/battery change. Overall I was very pleased with having purchased a German car, until it reached 140k miles. In a 6 month span, my 04 325i (worth only $5,000) has broken down SEVEN times. In this timeframe I have invested close to $7,000 solely in repairs. This car has broken down on the side of the road (needed new fuel pump, $700), the window motor needed to be replaced ($600), crack in radiator (had to replace entire radiator, $1,400), needed new air pump and strut replaced ($1,800) yet another radiator replacement ($1000), and finally, when I started my car the exhaust spewed white smoke with the smell of gas (hoses and valves and a gasket were replaced, $1,400). Do NOT purchase a BMW or any German car for that matter. These cars are completely unreliable and not meant to be driven for hundreds of thousands of miles. There is a reason dealerships will only cover maintenance for the first 90k miles. Dont be penny smart and dollar stupid! These foreign cars are not worth it!

My overall experience with my BMW 4-Series Grand Coupe model: sports ride, awesome performance and sleek style. I like the navigation package because visually it is appealing and has several functionalities that are easy to use. The heated steering heats up to a comfortable setting for my hands. The heated seats, front and back, is extremely useful for my family on cold days. The seats are typical for a sports car. However, for a BMW, I expect that the seat should be more comfortable. Right now, the seats are too hard and very uncomfortable. I do not like the seats at all. In fact, I use Anne sit on a cushion in the not comfortable.

To begin with, I have on six BMWs in my life. I purchased a brand-new 428i BMW from Flow BMW in Winston Salem, North Carolina. I have had the car for six months and it had 4000 miles on it. I am a single person and have only had three people in my passenger seat since owning the car. The leather started wearing terribly especially on the side bolster. I took it to the service department, as I was told to do, and spoke with the warranty guy. He informed me that BMW does not cover their leather under any kind of warranty. I calmly explained to him that only three people have been in the passenger seat and that the driver seat, which I get in and out of numerous times on a daily basis, was in perfect condition. His response was it only takes one time for something to happen! This really upset me especially him knowing that I have been such a loyal customer and took such excellent care of my vehicles. Not to mention that I have spent thousands of dollars at that dealership and my family has also. So, there I was with a six month old car and torn leather in the passenger seat. Oh I was not a happy camper. After having read all of these complaints about BMW my question is has their quality started to fail? And why do they get such condescending people to work at their dealerships? He couldve been much nicer to me instead of treating me like a second-class citizen. I know for a fact that other car companies that are not considered a luxury car manufacturer warranty their stitching and leather, so it leaves one to wonder. I started to take this higher to BMW USA, but I knew I was fighting a losing battle. I suppose it is what it is but Im still very unhappy!

In the last two months, Ive had to replace the battery and the ENTIRE I-drive (a.k.a.--brain) in my 2009 BMW 328I series with 26,000 miles (not a typo, I have another car) to the tune of nearly $3,000! I purchased the car new at the BMW dealership in Tulsa. I am furious and disappointed in BMW! I had such high hopes for this supposedly high performance auto. The dealership in Tulsa seemed at a loss to explain why this would happen in a car with such low mileage, yet didnt hesitate to charge full fees. The car is barely out of warranty. Im a 19-year-old full time college student and full job worker. Im broke and I dont have money for anything besides my studies. Im on an extremely tight budget. Anyway one day Some guy contacted me from Craigslist since I posted my Honda for sale since I have been wanting to get rid of it and get something more decent since I have a professional job. He asked if I wanted to trade my 01 Honda Civic for his 1999 BMW 5 series. The pictures of the car were so beautiful and I said immediately, Yes! Can I see it? Where can we meet? And we met up 20 minutes later. I was alone (I know Im an idiot). He was w/ his baby and his girlfriend and he said he already had the same BMW sitting at home and he wanted a Honda for his GF because of the good gas mileage. I then test drove the Beamer and it didnt feel quite right, but I told myself, Oh well, Ill take it to a mechanic and Im sure its something minor. The guy who traded me didnt ask for cash on top which was sort of sketchy. All he said that was wrong was that it needed an oil change and power steering fluid, hence the check engine light on the dash. I come to find out that the BMW couldnt even start the second day I had it and it began to make this LOUD air noise when I would hit the gas. OMG, I was having an anxiety attack and immediately took it to a fair priced mechanic who works on marine and automotive here in Salem, Oregon. The Mechanic felt so bad for me I could see the sympathy in his eye. I basically told him the story and he couldnt stop staying how BMWs are pieces of ** and I should have never ever traded my perfect beat up Honda for it. I also came to find out that it would cost over 7 grand to repair the vehicle back to good condition since it had OVER 10 CODES or mechanical work needed to be done to it. Now my car still wont start because the battery died and I live alone and have no one to help me. Im broke as hell and I dont have money for ANYTHING not even to register it under my name so I get the title in hand to get rid of it.

At the end of my wifes lease, she had an inspection report done at the BMW dealership where she had started the lease from. They performed an inspection of the car, then to find out that after she left, BMW Financial had the car picked up and brought to another state to only then get an excessive damage bill in the mail of an extra $500.00 dollars. My wife said where did this come from, we had an inspection done at the dealership and there was no such damage done to the car, my wife then said please show me pictures of the damage; they could not produce such pictures, but to only say she is being held liable for the excessive damages, and it has been harassment from that point on.Now, they have a place called vital recovery that is threatening her if she does not pay and going into our personal accounts. This is extremely poor taste of business from such a large car dealership. They cannot produce any proof of damages but to only say that the damages are there, here is a financial company that took a vehicle that she once leased and took it into another state, and then, they said that they performed another inspection and that is where they are coming up with this extra damage. Now, how much of a trap is that. My wife told them that I then needed to be at this inspection to witness it but now look what BMW financial is trying to pull, I say they damaged the car transporting it, and are looking for my wife to pay for it, and I wont have that. All they are doing is harassing my wife everyday.

I bought my 2002 BMW 330ci in October of 2011, since then I have had to have the cam shaft censor replaced ($270). It has been misfiring for an unknown reason causing the check engine light to stay on constantly and causing it to idle down and die every once in a while. Also, adding to my list of non working car parts, my trunk doesnt seal properly and leaks and the convertible top will not go down yet leaks every time it rains ($700 to fix) and my passenger door wont unlock and the lock is stuck down in the door making my passenger door unable to open ($300 to fix). Now it is February of 2012 and my reverse went out completely and with no warning at all. I have had nothing but problems in the short time I have owned the vehicle so now it is parked in my driveway until I can come up with the $4000 or more for a new transmission. I am not only dissatisfied but also angry and disappointed. I bought BMW because I thought I was buying quality and dependability. I am very let down and can honestly say once I rid myself of this money pit I call my car (which is hopefully very soon). I will never buy another BMW and will share my experience with other perspective BMW buyers.

After receiving a recall letter from BMW for the brake vacuum pump (recall campaign no. 10v-446), I took the car to Crevier BMW but was told they didnt have the part. I never heard back from Crevier BMW, and I forgot about it until the brakes completely failed without warning. I had the car towed to the nearest dealer in Irvine. They replaced the vacuum supply line but not the vacuum pump. They recommended that I replace the leaking vacuum pump at my cost of over $900. The description of the problem included in the recall letter from BMW specifically indicates that the leak from the vacuum pump into the vacuum hose is the root of the problem. I spoke to Jody ** at BMW and she said that the recall is a federal mandate and this mandate only requires them to replace the line and not the pump.I have owned BMW cars for more than 12 years, you would think they would stand behind their product and keep a loyal customer happy. They truly do not care about the customer. They will only take care of the problem if the car is leased and/or under warranty, and even then, theyll put off the work until the car is out of warranty.I have had a new 750Li since 2006. From the beginning, the engine oil light would come on and I would have to take the car in to be topped off. I kept asking why I had to do this so often and they assured me that it was normal for the 750. I had a new 745 before this car and I never had this problem. I didnt worry about it since there was no sign of a leak on my garage floor. Now that the car is out of warranty, they tell me that there is a leak.

In July 2011, I sent an email to the BMW dealer in Cairo complaining about my BMW 525i Chassis Number: CS28301. My BMW was bought in 2007, and only has 120,000 km, but I am already having problems with the radiator and water pump. It is quite frustrating and disappointing on my part because I expected my BMW to last longer. I had the impression that it is built out of high quality materials, and it will never go fault that fast. I have other basic cars; Verna, Tarcel and Vectra, the same age as the BMW and maybe even older with higher mileage (300,000 KM), but they are still in good shape and has not malfunctioned unlike my BMW.My email was promptly answered, and I was told that I have to shoulder the expenses for the repair because my vehicle is already out of warranty since December 17, 2008. I had a BMW AG warranty policy, which was two years unlimited mileage. Mr. Hassan ** apologized for the inconvenience caused, and the time I spent dealing with my car problem. However, he said that the vehicle and their parts, regardless of how well made or maintained, do not have an infinite life span, and eventually replacement costs must be borne by the customer. He added that based on the vehicle age and mileage, they cannot consider the fault as a manufacturing defect.I relied that I will repair the car; I will sell it, and buy a Mercedes or Japanese car. I told them that BMW will lose its customer because its an expensive car, but not a durable car. Finally, I said that I will not recommend BMW to anyone I know.Copies of the emails are available for inspection.

I have bought a CPO BMW 2011 328i back in April 2013 at McKenna BMW in Norwalk, California. Since day one the sales advisor was unable to do a check list with me, a bad start. I had to go back three times and ask the service advisors on how to work my vehicle. Then, not even a month later I went back for the bottom trim on the back windshield that was coming loose. McKenna repaired the trim and not even a week later it came out again. I took it back a second time, repair it again and here we go, not even a week later the trim is loose. Finally, they got it right the third time around. Now, the trim is fix. Let’s move on to the brake light inside the car that came loose. The car went back to the dealership for that repair. Two week later I found a loose plastic in the bottom part of the passenger seat, so here we go again to the dealership. They got it fixed. Not even a month later I noise started to come out from the front of the vehicle every time I exited my drive way. I took it to McKenna three times and finally the foreman ** was able to identify there was actually a noise from the suspension. McKenna kept the car for more than a weeks without any follow ups with me. I would have to call to know an update and every time I was told they were unable to duplicate the noise. I told the foreman specifically on how to duplicate the noise, and they kept saying we can’t hear it. I called BMW of North America and a Field Technician came down to the dealership and check the vehicle and I was advice unable to duplicate. Keep in mind all of these problems in less than five months with my car. All McKenna had to say is “We cannot do anything about getting you into another car. We are sorry you are having problems; there is nothing we can do for you.” I have been talking to ** Executive Consumer Care from BMW of North America and all he has to say is “Keep the car. If we can find the noise before your 50k the warranty will fix it. But if not you are liable for the cost of repairs.”

I have a 2007 BMW 328xi with 70000 miles. The car broke down on the highway few days ago. I found out that BMW from 2007 to 2011 started to have electrical problems. This makes the car shut down completely at any time.

We leased a brand new 2011 750Li. One month later, the car lost its power, and the engine light went on. We took it to the dealership, where it stayed for 10 days! Finally, they found the problem, fixed it, and we picked up the car. We drove the car out of the Vista Service at 11AM. At 6PM the same day, the car stalled in middle of the road. We called Vista to tow it, and the car is there for already 20 days. Nobody knows how long it will be stay there. They could not even find the problem. They kept telling us stories. After probably spending thousands of dollars out of their pockets, since it is under warranty (the car is 1 month old!), they told us that a rat got under the hood, and chewed all the wires. Now, they have blamed us for it, after a month in their body shop. Now we had to make a claim with our insurance, and pay the deductible fees for it. Meanwhile, they gave us an X5 as a loaner. A couple of days ago, we went to the supermarket, walked out, and found that the rear windshield was broken. Now, the dealership does not want to exchange the loaner, and I have to drive it with the broken window, with a 1 year old child in it, and a stroller full of glass. The insurance company is laming the dealership, and we have to pay another $500 for the window, and I even cannot exchange the cars after I paid. The worst dealership in the world. The salesperson was the best-James **, no hard feelings, you are the best! What cannot say about James ** in service department. The brand new car has been in service for more than 30 days.

BMW K1200r motorcycle - I bought the bike new in 2006; it now has 5000 miles on it and the transmission is shot. After being told by the dealer it will cost $6,000 to repair and BMW has a known issue with this transmission to the extent that they totally redesigned a new transmission that my existing clutch and associated parts will not be compatible with, they will not do anything towards customer goodwill even though they have known of this problem and never sent a notice while it was in warranty to get it checked out. I guess its true that BMW is an acronym for Bring My Wallet. This will be the last BMW anything I ever own. Such poor customer service!

I recently submitted a survey of my recent visit to the local BMW dealership (Schafer BMW of Wilmington, NC). I stated that I had taken my vehicle (2011 X3) in for a problem with noise coming from the passenger side at speeds of 45-50 MPH. The dealership stated that they too heard the noise and it was due to the tires. With 30K miles on the tires and their recommendation, I purchased 4 new tires, had them balanced and a front end alignment. Two weeks later I noticed the same noise coming from the same location. I returned my vehicle to the same dealership and again stated that the same noise was coming from the same location even after purchasing 4 new tires with an out of pocket of expense of $850 for tires, mounting, balancing and front end alignment. The dealership now states the noise is coming from the exhaust and not the tires. The resolution is still pending and BMW Customer Relations and Assistance states that they cannot reimburse me for the tires or accept responsibility of the dealerships misdiagnosis. Help!

This is a complaint regarding lease termination inspection for BMW and outrageous payment that BMW charges for repair. I had an inspection for my BMW 528i on March 14, 2012 for the lease termination done by reps from Data Scan. For some reasons, the inspector refused to give me a repair cost after on-site inspection and suggested to call next day. He pointed 5 scratches on the body though. When I called next day, it turns out it was the phone number of BMW Financial Services. The representative told me over the phone that complete repair cost is $900.00.About a week later a got a statement from BMW Financial Services showing that my repair cost (5 scratches, from 2.5 to 10 long) is $2,700. I have a strong feeling that BMW running a scam, trying to punish customers who do not want to continue leasing from BMW. I paid my charges already but I want everyone who consider leasing BMW what they will face at the end of the lease termination.

On Sunday, my son, whom drives a 2008 328xi was driving, when all of a sudden, abs, dcs and critical engine malfunction lights came on and the car shut off. He swerved off the road and managed not to hit anything or anyone. The people behind him were all ok as well. God was watching my child. We towed the car to BMW and when they called me with an estimate I was shocked. I asked one question, why was there no warning lights that would warn him that his engine was going to malfunction? I was told, sometimes a person wakes up in the morning and by the afternoon they had a heart attack and die. Wow! When I said that my child was the one driving, I was told, if I cared so much about my child, I should think about putting my child in a newer car that does not have 111,000 miles on it. No words! When I purchased the car 4 years ago, it had 50,000 miles on it. The salesman told me that a BMW engine just starts to put at 100,000 miles. Funny, how when something goes wrong, then its an old car. Currently, there are 57 BMWs around me that are being sold at BMW dealerships with mileage over 100,000 and they are not cheap. I am upset and saddened that a BMW service tech would be as insensitive and a whole lot more.

Driving along and all of the sudden a fan came on with a loud blowing sound. I parked my car and planned to take it to the shop the next day. I checked the coolant, it was a little low so I added. The next while on the way to the shop, still loud blowing, the engine overheat warning came on. I pulled over and towed to the shop. As soon as they hear the fan come on, they said immediately, the water pump failed - We get about 4 or 5 a week on this car. As a result, I have to replace a water pump, and cracked radiator, $2,000. I check the internet and found many, many of the same complaints. I read that there was a recall for the X5s with the V8 engine. I imagine the design is the same and therefore the recall should include the V6 engine as well.

I have a BMW X5 (2012) which I purchased new, it had an AC problem however that wont be fixed by BMW. Here is my story on the X5. After warranty is done at 50K miles this is where all the troubles start. Thermostat failure a 2500$ repair, Burnt Oil smell, fluid leak repair $2500 in 2016 by a BMW Repair service. Took it to the dealer to see if it would resolve and he replaced the same Oil Gasket leak at East Bay BMW in Pleasanton, CA for roughly $2500 in Aug 2017. Now I take it back to the dealer and ask him about the 2 year warranty and he says it is a different issue and I need to spend another $1500 to get this fixed. There is no end to the excuses for bad repairs but I wanted to call out that my experience with BMW and their repair technicians is so poor that they refuse to accept responsibility or address the issue.

I bought 2013 ActiveHybrid 3 from Patrick BMW at 15000 miles. (Certified Car), this car has been in and out of dealership for multiple issues, electrical and body. For some reason they are not able to fix the car. It is quite frustrating that both dealership and BMW North America is not willing to take up the responsibility for manufacturing the faulty vehicle and selling the faulty vehicle. The resolution that the BMW North America offered for a vehicle worth over US $30000 driven only 15000 miles that stayed in dealership (in and out) was only $1000 and thats it. I totally feel cheated and robbed in daylight by Patrick BMW and BMW North America. My suggestion: Do not BUY BMW you feel or ULTIMATE FOOLING MACHINE.

On 17 December 2015, my wife brought our 2011 BMW X5 to Elite BMW in Ottawa
On 17 December 2015, my wife brought our 2011 BMW X5 to Elite BMW in Ottawa due to low coolant light appearing on the cluster. The dealership conducted almost two-hour diagnosis and determined that our vehicle requires a new water pump, thermostat and some oil gasket. The job should have been finished at the end of the day and my wife was waiting a phone call to pick up the vehicle. My wife did not receive the phone call and now it was 18 December 2015, 2 PM. My wife called to the dealership querying the vehicle. She was put on hold and then the dealership promised to call her back. My wife did not hear anything and then she called over one hour later again, now the dealership admitted that there has been a problem with our vehicle. In the process of repairs (i.e replacing water pump, thermostat and engine oil gasket and oil), the technician during is test drive (at least the dealership report states) had seized the engine. The technician had completed the work and replaced the engine oil (as they say) and was in process conducting the road test when the engine seized. Now the dealer is denying their responsibility and is suggesting us to buy replacement engine? How generous, they are even helping us to find cheaper used engine? Dont we have laws in Canada? This should not be even a question, i.e. you broke it, you bought it. Elite BMW is now working with BMW Canada and in preliminary discussion, BMW agrees to cover off 60% of the cost and the rest is collected from the customer based on the general manager, as the dealership is trying to wash their responsibility of the accident. The whole accident is tarnishing the BMW brand. The way situation is handled is less than it is expected of the brand. This is cheap shot and poor representation of the brand and is turning off customers and investors from the brand. Mierins Automotive Group, especially Elite BMW is keeping their promise: creating a dealership experience like no other. The truth does not lie in words rather than actions. Indeed BMW military appreciation program is to sell smiling in front of you and stab you on the back - thank you BMW Canada and Mierins Automotive Group! We provided the complaint letter to the service manager (Isabelle), basically stating that you broke it, you bought it. The BMW Canada agrees to cover off 60% of the cost of the engine rebuild and the dealership and the general manager and the service manager deny their role to the cause of the damage. The general manager offered the engine rebuild for approx 15,000 CAD, which we have doubts as the technicians failed the water pump replacement. In a discussion with the senior technician, he mentioned that the dealership have difficulties to find and retain technologically incline technicians as BMWs are challenging vehicles to maintain and repair. We as consumers should have rights and laws protecting us. When a vehicle is left to the dealerships care, it should be returned minimum at the same condition it was left there. We are a military family and protecting this country and its citizens and this is the thank you for the service from its citizens as return.

I own a 2005 325CI with 51,000 miles and I have clear coat issues myself. Unfortunately, I bought the car used a few years ago. I figured I could get some assistance from the customer complaint center because the ** service manager at the local dealership basically told me ** you in a nice way. Both my conversations with management from the dealership and customer service center were futile, no assistance whatsoever. There is definitely a trend with these complaints even with cars that are garage kept. The materials that are being used here are definitely substandard. I have other cars that sit in the same driveway that are older than the BMW, and I use the same cleaning products on them that I use on the BMW and I have no issues at all. I am not asking for a freebie, but I think BMW should give some sort of assistance in these matters and take care of their customers whether they bought their cars new or used. The customer service reps and managers at the so-called Service Center are a bunch of arrogant ** that know nothing about taking care of the customer. If anyone has any info on who I can talk to other than the service center, dealership, or paint reps, please let me know. I am totally frustrated that no assistance was offered.

First, Id like to say that this Driving Experience has been the worst experience on my end. This letter is to notify you BMWNA as the manufacturer that my vehicle is once again at Fort Lauderdale BMW for the fourth time, and I will allow one more repair before my attorneys proceed with the Lemon Law of Florida State. I will also like to ask if anyone at BMWNA has any kind of consideration to at least prorate my monthly charge because of my reoccurring issues with my car. I believe thats just right being that I have to waste money, time and mostly time in traffic and off work because of this issue. Im a very unhappy customer and I will say this now and forever, I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER BMW! And everyone that I get a chance or would like to get to hear my horrible experience with BMW I will be glad to tell them of my long stressful/humiliated days. My time with BMW has been enjoying all the loaners that I have acquired since my time with BMW. I really dont know, but BMWNA keeps telling me that they have traded me out of the car twice already so they cant help me in anyway but I dont think its right for me to pay close to $1700 monthly for my car to be in the repair shop constantly. The information in red is of the lady that communicated with me that BMW OF NA cannot help me anymore, when I was having my issues with 2013 328i that the alignment was bad and BMW of Coconut Creek could not fix it. I ask for BMWNA to allow me to trade out of it because of on going issues and Margaret ** I guess said OK but its not like they give me money the first and I still carry the negative equity. Then I got into a Certified New 2011 M3 which had issues from the start. You check all service records on that 2011 M3. They changed parts and I would say out of the 9 months I was on the contract, it was in the shop 4 months. The vehicle had a stalling issue that could not be duplicated but yet parts were changed within the 3 service centers I visited. Coconut Creek BMW, Pompano Beach BMW, and Braman Bmw of Palm Beach. I got loaners so frequently that my phone would automatically sync to the Bluetooth system. Because of my numerous times at service and Margaret ** Certifying that the car would work as intended, it happened again. She first gave $1500 and the trade of my car for a certified used or new car. I said that wasnt enough because at the dealerships I went to they said the bank couldnt allow me to get in to a less expensive car so they then gave me $3500 which I thought was still a low amount being that the BMW stores could not help much so now I have a HIGHER PAYMENT WITH A CAR NOT OF MY CHOICE BUT AN EXECUTIVE DEMO, that the BMW Bank allowed me to get into because of my negative equity on the M3. But I never wanted to get rid of M3, the car was in the shop month after month and I just wouldve thought that since I was going through this issues they would have some sort of consideration and put me into the same car for the same price and not a $100,000 car not of my choice. I just want to say that when I do get the chance to leave BMW of North America I will leave running and never look back!!!BMW of North America has no consideration for your customers. I mean Im not lying of the repairs because they have my service records. I have my service records on this new 650 xDrive. This has been the worst experience and can guarantee you that I will never encourage anyone to buy a BMW and will never get myself into this mess again. Thanks but no thanks.

I owned a 2008 BMW 335i and experienced the same issue that is being recalled on the 2010- 012 models. I now own a CPO 2011 335i and the starting my car sounds as if the car hasnt been cranked in 2 months. While in park the engine is super loud and revs for no apparent reason. The dealerships are nothing but vacuums for money. After having a tire replaced for the 2008 at one dealership, the water pump failed less than 5 feet of the service garage door; but I was told this was normal and could happened. Please note that the car never had any warning signs of overheating or loss of a/c power or anything. This was $1200 to fix. The service manager was smug and uninterested in my concerns. His only offer was to allow me to leave my car on their premises and charge me a fair rate for renting a car. On the same 2008 model, I was driving on the expressway and out of the blue my car loses engine power and goes into safe mode. This was $800 to fix. I contacted BMW customer care and the rep couldve cared less, telling me I was out of warranty and nothing they could do about it. If this automaker cared anything for their customers they would deliver superior products and superior customer service. Unfortunately, this automaker fall short on both.

I bought a 2011 BMW 135i (49k mileage) in the beginning of 2016 and during this short period of ownership. I have in and out the dealership(s) many times because of different kinds of failure on this Ultimate Failing Machine. The lucky thing is that I have Certified Pre-Owned Extended warranty that covers most repairs. The car has 56k mileage today. Those are the repairs I did for 9 months ownership:Weak air-conditioning due to evaporator leaking in AC system - a quote of repair cost ~$1200, fixed under warranty. DCT Transmission fluid leaking due to bad o-ring - unknown repair cost, fixed under warranty but I have to pay $2** for new DCT Transmission fluid. Otherwise they will reuse the old fluid and put them in after repair (!!!) Do you reuse toilet paper or condom(s)?Adaptive headlight control module failure - does not cover by CPO warranty. I paid $7** for the repair and reprogramming. High Pressure Fuel Pump failure and Rail pressure sensor failure - this is known issue in N54/N55 engine and the High Pressure Fuel Pump on my car failed in exact 55k mileage. The quote of repair is $17** + taxes + $175 diagnostic fee, fixed under warranty. A Xenon light bulb failure in one headlight - does not cover by CPO warranty. Paid $4** for a set of genuine BMW light bulb and DIY. Let imagine when you get this car with no warranty. How much you will have to spend on every repairs? Good luck with your BMW cars.

E46 BMW M3 - I am having nightmares with my M3, SMG gear box. The fault icon came on. I took the car to a BMW dealership. They kept it for 2 weeks, said the clutch was contaminated and that air was in the hydraulic system. It was fixed at a cost of 3800+. I collected the car, and it broke down the same evening, with the same complaint after driving about 20 miles. A call was placed to the dealership, who informed me that I would have to get it back to their garage on my own, as they do not do recovery. I had just spent 3800+ with this dealership. I got the car there and they said that they found air in the hydraulic system. It was bled, road tested and returned after 3 days. The M3 broke down again (and is presently at the dealership), after driving 3000 miles, with the same problem with the SMG box. The dealership is saying that its the same symptom, but different problem. They are now saying that its the hydraulic pump. I am now facing an additional bill of 2800. My questions are: 1. Whats the life span of an M3 hydraulic pump? 2. Is there an inherent fault with the BMW M3 SMG gear box? 3. Have others experience the same problems with BMW SMG boxes? 4. Is it true, that BMW only guarantee a life span of 12 yrs for the M3?5. How can I make a claim against BMW for selling a defect ultimate machine?

While the car was there, I had them look at clear coat that was disappearing from top surfaces on my car. They informed me that it looked like production defect so they would get a BMW rep to come look. Supposedly, the rep checked it out and deemed to be environmental issue. What the heck does that mean? If you live in FL and buy a $56,000 BMW that it is normal for the paint job to last 4 years tops. My neighbors Hyundai still has a beautiful paint job (same climate). How ridiculous. On July 29, 2010, I purchased a 2010 BMW 3 Series 328xi at BMW of Orland Park. The purchase included a balance of factory warranty for four years or 50,000 miles on all parts. The air conditioning was blowing warm air when the controls were set to cool and I took my car to the service department on May 18, 2013. The service department rep said the refrigerant was low, there were no leaks found and that he will evacuate and recharge the system. He also said dye will be added to help determine the location of the leak. The system was then blowing cool. I had no reason to suspect that the service department was not working in good faith to resolve the problem. The air conditioner was blowing warm air when the controls were set to cool again and I took my car to the service department on May 23, 2014. The service department rep said the refrigerant was low, there were no leaks found and that he will evacuate and recharge the system. I requested that the air conditioner system is repaired or replaced. He also said it is difficult to do diagnostics for a refrigerant leak and that an oil will be added to help determine the location of the leak. The system was then blowing cool and I was charged $209.19. I had no reason to suspect that the service department was not working in good faith to resolve the problem. The air conditioner was blowing warm air when the controls were set to cool again and I took my car to the service department on March 31, 2015. I explained to the service department rep named, Craig, that I am not willing to pay for diagnostics, evacuation and a refrigerant recharge again. I requested that the air conditioner system is repaired or replaced. I also requested that BMW, at the minimum, assist with the cost since the warranty was still active and not utilized at the initial appointment when I reported the air conditioner not working properly. I entered a caveat beneath my signature on the work order that I only agree to have the air conditioner system reviewed for subsequent repair and/or replacement. I told Craig at least four times during the consultation, I do not want to pay for an evacuation and recharge procedure.Craig told me the AC condenser could be damaged from a rock, so hell have to check out the whole system anyway, especially since its out of warranty. I explained to Craig that since the car was not out of warranty the previous two times I reported the issue, some consideration should be given to me as a customer. Craig said he will check with BMW and see if they will help pay as a good-will gesture. He said BMW would probably pay 85% of the cost. I told Craig that I am a single small woman who is financially alone and that I cannot afford to pay $300 every year for diagnostics, evacuation and a refrigerant recharge because I do plan to keep the car. I am planning to retire within the next five years and this is not in my budgetary agenda. Also, I explained if I were to pay $300 every year for the next five years, I would have paid to have the air conditioner system replaced.Craig responded by saying that he was not independently wealthy either. So I left my car with the understanding that every effort would be made to determine how the air conditioner system would be repaired and/or replaced. Craig called me on March 31, 2015 and asked for my permission to keep my car for another day. He said, they couldnt find anything wrong with the air conditioner system and will continue to try to find the problem. I agreed.Craig called me on April 1, 2015 and again asked for my permission to keep my car for another day. He said, they couldnt find anything wrong with the air conditioner system and will continue to try to find the problem. I sighed and he said, and I quote, Hey, Im trying to help you out. Were checking out the evaporator coil and trying to see if its the factory. Even though his tone was unprofessional, I agreed. It was at this conversation I began to suspect that he was not working in good faith to resolve the problem and that there is no recourse for me.Craig called me on April 2, 2015 and said he couldnt find anything wrong with the air conditioner system or any leaks. I asked him if an evacuation and refrigerant recharge was done and he said yes. He did exactly what I asked not to be done. I told him I was not pleased that this issue was not resolved as I requested. He said he did me a favor because he charged me for only one unit of refrigerant and he put in two units. When I asked why cant the system be repaired or replaced, he said they dont know what part to repair or replace. I am so discouraged and angry that I was not given a more intelligent explanation. BMW can build machines for which they cannot repair? He said he will notate on the invoice, that next time, I will not have to pay for the diagnostics. He said maybe next time Ill get a convertible for the loaner car.Craig suggested that I pick up my car in the morning because traffic was heavy on La Grange Road that time of the evening and he wont be there. I dont use La Grange Road to travel to Ziegler BMW and I wasnt interested to seeing him considering my disappointment to the way this issue was handled. So I picked up my car within 45 minutes after being notified to do so. When I got into my car, it stunk like cigarette smoke and sweat. I was provided a loaner car in the interim. The loaner/rental car agreement for a temporary substitute vehicle indicates, No smoking or a $250.00 fine will be charged. A copy of my credit card was obtained to ensure payment should I breach the no smoking policy. However, I am not being compensated to have my car deodorized. In summation, I am extremely saddened to be treated with such disrespect and callousness. I purchased a BMW because I need a reliable car. I also chose BMW because I suspected that I would receive the kind of customer service that would equate with the kind of product I purchased. I am extremely upset and dissatisfied about this issue. I feel very uncomfortable to use BMW for any of my automotive needs. However, I am still interested receiving a satisfactory remedy from BMW as previously requested.

My 2017 330e has less than 6000 miles and broke down while I was out of state on vacation. BMW offers a reunite program but only 250 miles or under warranty repairs. I call BS! They want to charge me the difference in mileage for the return of my vehicle which is $250. For the amount of money I pay to have this luxury vehicle they can’t get it back to me? I had to get a rental car to get home, now I have to buy a plane ticket to go get it and drive it back? No one will help me and I can’t even get through to customer service. I will never purchase another BMW again. I’m going back to Toyota. They treat you a whole lot better.

I purchased a 2011 BMW 528I from Pattersons BMW in Wichita Falls, Texas in July 2011. The car almost stalls when you stop and try to start again. The car hesitates when going around a corner and almost stalls. I have almost been run into because the car cannot leave a stop light like normal cars and people are in a hurry behind you. The car has been into the dealership six times and even the factory representative tried to fix the problem. No success resulted from all these attempts to fix the problem and the BMW solution is this is a characteristic of this car and all BMWs 528I have this characteristic. The salesmans car I drove did not have this problem and I doubt if any other 5 series has this problem. This new feature on 2011 BMWs is like fly by wire, in that there is no linkage between the engine and the footfeed. The computer responds to all controls within the car and somehow I have the slowest response computer, since computers were invented. If a, F-16 had this response time, the pilot would be dead and if I continue to drive this vehicle, I may be dead also.

Last year in July, I bought a BMW 116 with 5 doors for my wife. The purchasing office was Borusan Turkey - Borusan Istanbul Istinye Branch. However since that date, we visited at least 4 times same branch for same problem (now the problem appear again). Because we usually have problem with message, right tire low air pressure. Due to this message on car screen, my wife could not use properties on screen and could not use back camera while parking, which could cause an accident while parking. We bought a new car and trust to BMW but since we bought the car, we continue to go to service and could not get the proper answer and service solution up to now either from BMW Turkey nor from BMW Germany. From now on, we decide that this is a manufacturing defect so we need your help and assistance to solve the problem. THE LAST ANSWER from BMW Germany without solution!

We are in the market for a newer 3 series BMW sedan. Our current 2002 325i has 240k miles. I have been a faithful BMW owner since 1970. But after the problems with our 2002 325i engine I am not sure about BMWs in our future. Last April we on a road trip to visit our son in Asheville, NC with the intention of purchasing a 3 series BMW. Our experience at BMW of Asheville was not impressive. We found a car during a web search of BMW of Asheville website. We were greeted at the door, offered a drink of water and introduced to sales specialist. The car apparently had some theft and paint damage while at the dealership. So the car was in the paint shop. But after an hour we were getting annoyed having not seen or Sat in a car. Then I noticed our sales specialist jumping in the air with a key fob I assume trying to locate the car. With Millions of dollars in inventory it would seem simple, to note on the inventory number where it is located and status. The dealership giving us excuses just lowered our confidence in the dealership. In the future I hope customers find a different experience than we had. Still needing a newer car we are looking at a 2007 328i. But after reading the reviews posted here. I am seriously questioning what I am about to do. Can I just on faith that it will turn out okay. Or will the insensitivity of corporate wear me out!

I purchased a vehicle from this used car dealer that was supposed to be a certified BMW and Ive been having problems with the car since buying it. Ive had the car for three months and every month, the car has been in the shop. I have spoken to the manager about the problems, but kept getting the runaround. Now Ive had the car for three months and theres a clicking sound when I make a left turn. When I told the manager about this problem, he told me I have to pay for parts and labor. I paid $2,000 for a car that was supposed to be certified thats really not. I was sold a car that is supposed to be 160 points certified and was not. This dealer is telling me that I have to pay for parts and labors on a car I only had for three months and now Im having a hard time getting anything done with the management which I paid $2,000 to for a car that I shouldnt be paying to repair.

Recently purchased 328i a month ago and was very excited! Had a big rain storm, the car was somehow flooded, floor and carpet completely soaked. Now the car will not start! It just completely shut down. Steering is locked. Has anyone had similar experience? I would like to know if even worth keeping now. Would like to purchase another BMW, but skeptical. Repairs are outrageous!!

The BMW 300 is great for everyday driving. I love driving its 6 speed manual transmission! Its super fun to drive around town as well as long distances. The hands free features are also well designed. But, even though its a German car, its awful in the snow. We were very surprised by the poor handling in snowy conditions. We would not purchase this model again because of the climate we live in. It does not handle slick roads or snow well at all. Taking this into consideration, we might look at a different model. We really only bought it for the manual transmission.
