2026 BMW 3-Series

Find big savings on BMW Automobile(s) at Auto Helpers. Low Prices.

The 2026 BMW 3-Series remains one of the most influential vehicles in the compact luxury segment, known for its engaging driving feel, balanced performance, and refined everyday usability. Builders of the modern sport sedan, the 3-Series has long blended agile dynamics, premium comfort, practical usability, and modern technology into a single package that appeals to drivers seeking excitement without sacrificing everyday comfort. In the 2026 iteration, the 3-Series continues this legacy, appealing to buyers who want a sedan that can be equally at home on twisty back roads or city streets and highways.

The 3-Series targets enthusiasts and premium buyers alike — drivers who value handling precision, responsive power delivery, and a refined cabin experience.

Design & Exterior Identity

The 2026 BMW 3-Series projects a modern, athletic look without abandoning class or sophistication:

Sleek proportions: A balanced wheelbase and taut body surfaces give the sedan a poised and purposeful stance.

Distinctive BMW styling: Traditional elements like the iconic kidney grille, sharp LED headlights, and precise creases add both personality and premium presence.

Dynamic silhouette: The car’s profile conveys motion even when standing still, combining elegance with a sport-leaning attitude.

Aerodynamic design: Thoughtful shaping reduces drag and contributes to both efficiency and high-speed stability.

The 3-Series manages to look modern and sophisticated without drifting into overly aggressive design theatrics.

Powertrain & Performance

A key reason the 3-Series remains a segment leader is its balanced and lively powertrain offerings:

Turbocharged engines: A range of turbocharged four-cylinder engines (and available six-cylinder options in higher trims or sport variants) provide responsive acceleration and solid midrange torque. The result is confident passing power and lively response whether in city traffic or on open roads.

Transmission: A refined automatic transmission delivers seamless shifts that contribute to smooth everyday driving and brisk performance when demanded.

Drive options: Rear-wheel drive maintains the traditional BMW driving feel of balanced handling and steering feedback, while available all-wheel drive adds surefootedness in mixed conditions such as rain or light snow.

The powertrain lineup is tuned to emphasize a blend of efficiency, comfort, and response rather than outright extreme performance — while still feeling lively.

Driving Dynamics & Handling

The 2026 3-Series continues BMW’s reputation for engaging dynamics:

Precision steering: Steering is direct and communicative, helping the driver feel connected to the road.

Balanced chassis: Suspension tuning strives for a blend of agility and ride comfort — tight enough for confidence in turns, yet compliant enough for daily travel.

Corner confidence: The car feels poised through corners, with body control that supports enthusiastic driving without feeling unsettled.

Braking response: Responsive brakes offer dependable stopping power with clear pedal feedback.

The 3-Series feels compact and agile, giving drivers confidence whether navigating back roads or merging onto highways.

Interior Comfort & Design

Inside, the 2026 BMW 3-Series combines luxury cues with driver-centric ergonomics:

Comfortable seating: Supportive seats with a range of adjustments make both daily commutes and long highway journeys more comfortable.

Quality materials: Soft-touch surfaces, refined trim elements, and thoughtful attention to detail elevate the interior above many mainstream sedans.

Driver-oriented layout: Controls and information displays are positioned to reduce distraction and keep the driver engaged.

Cabin space: Front seats offer generous comfort; rear seating provides competitive space for adults, making the 3-Series practical for both driver and passengers.

The interior blends comfort and premium character while emphasizing ergonomic ease for everyday use.

Technology & Connectivity

The 2026 3-Series integrates modern technology to support connectivity and convenience:

Digital displays: A configurable digital instrument cluster presents key information — such as speed, navigation, and performance data — clearly and intuitively.

Infotainment system: A central touchscreen provides access to navigation, media, vehicle settings, and connectivity functions via an intuitive interface.

Smartphone integration: Seamless connectivity allows for wireless access to calls, messaging, music, and apps.

Performance feedback: Available displays provide information on driving dynamics, efficiency, and other useful metrics.

Technology is integrated in a way that supports the driving experience without overwhelming it.

Safety & Driver Assistance

The 2026 BMW 3-Series includes a comprehensive suite of safety features to enhance confidence and assist where needed:

Adaptive cruise control: Helps manage speed and distance on highways, reducing fatigue during long trips.

Lane-keeping systems: Support directions and stability on sustained drives.

Automatic emergency braking: Adds mitigation support in sudden traffic changes.

Blind-spot monitoring: Improves awareness during lane changes and in heavy traffic.

Safety systems are designed to be intuitive and helpful without intruding on driver control.

Strengths of the 2026 BMW 3-Series

Engaging dynamics: Precise steering and balanced handling make the 3-Series fun and confidence-inspiring to drive.

Responsive performance: Turbocharged engines offer spirited acceleration and efficient cruising.

Premium interior: Quality materials and ergonomic design support comfort and refinement.

Modern technology: Digital interfaces and connectivity features enhance everyday usability.

Balanced usability: Equally capable in everyday commuting, highway cruising, and dynamic driving.

Trade-offs & Considerations

Ride firmness in sport trims: Sport-oriented suspension tuning may feel firm compared with comfort-focused rivals.

Cargo space: As a sedan, cargo and rear seat room are less expansive than some hatchbacks or compact SUVs.

Fuel use: Performance-oriented driving will increase fuel consumption compared with economy-biased cars.

Price step in performance trims: Higher trims and sport variants can push the 3-Series into pricing territory competing with larger luxury cars.

Who the 2026 BMW 3-Series Is Best For

The 2026 BMW 3-Series is ideal for drivers who:

Want an engaging and refined luxury sedan.

Appreciate balanced performance and comfort in a compact package.

Value modern technology and connectivity without distraction.

Prefer premium interior quality and ergonomic design.

Enjoy a car that feels lively on twisty roads but composed on highways.

Bottom Line

The 2026 BMW 3-Series continues to set the standard for compact luxury sport sedans. Its combination of agile driving dynamics, responsive powertrains, premium interior comfort, and modern technology make it a strong all-around choice for drivers who want both everyday usability and spirited driving enjoyment. Whether used for commuting, weekend excursions, or long highway journeys, the 3-Series remains a compelling and well-balanced offering in the luxury sedan segment.

Bought a used BMW 335 with 62,000 miles on it for 1/3 the price of a new one. At 91,000 miles only basic maintenance and still does not burn oil despite twin turbos and GDI. I plan to keep it as long as it runs.

Self-adjusting strut replaced, after replacement the strut would not inflate; $900 part. Next, they stated it must be the modulation computer; replaced $900, still did not inflate. Next, they said it must be the pump, $900. Still did not work. This cost a towing fee of $200 also, the vehicle had been in their shop for the six weeks. They have now returned it to local authorized BMW repair center. The strut is deflated, causing all struts to deflate making the car undriveable without destroying all struts. Now after paying them, they tell me to drive the x5 back to them and they will take a look at it.I had to rent or borrow for seven weeks. I have paid them because they stated the x5 was repaired, but after paying them and going out to pick up my car, drove to city where I live and by the time I arrived, the struts were deflated. Now it sits having to be towed again to Little Rock BMW for $200.

I lease a $120,000 750xi and have had nothing but problems with this car. The car has been in the shop over 10 times including the recent 25 day trip where they replaced the engine!!! On a brand new 2016 lease never owned before. BMW refuses to make my payment for me. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. They lost my car once, one time gave me the car back with a flat tire. The list goes in. THE WORST COMPANY EVER.

I bought a 2011 BMW 135i (49k mileage) in the beginning of 2016 and during this short period of ownership. I have in and out the dealership(s) many times because of different kinds of failure on this Ultimate Failing Machine. The lucky thing is that I have Certified Pre-Owned Extended warranty that covers most repairs. The car has 56k mileage today. Those are the repairs I did for 9 months ownership:Weak air-conditioning due to evaporator leaking in AC system - a quote of repair cost ~$1200, fixed under warranty. DCT Transmission fluid leaking due to bad o-ring - unknown repair cost, fixed under warranty but I have to pay $2** for new DCT Transmission fluid. Otherwise they will reuse the old fluid and put them in after repair (!!!) Do you reuse toilet paper or condom(s)?Adaptive headlight control module failure - does not cover by CPO warranty. I paid $7** for the repair and reprogramming. High Pressure Fuel Pump failure and Rail pressure sensor failure - this is known issue in N54/N55 engine and the High Pressure Fuel Pump on my car failed in exact 55k mileage. The quote of repair is $17** + taxes + $175 diagnostic fee, fixed under warranty. A Xenon light bulb failure in one headlight - does not cover by CPO warranty. Paid $4** for a set of genuine BMW light bulb and DIY. Let imagine when you get this car with no warranty. How much you will have to spend on every repairs? Good luck with your BMW cars.

I am a big loyal long time fan of BMW (German Engineering).I was referred friends family to buy BMW cars based on my experience. Finally that came to an end. Little story - First time I took my 2008 BMW X5 (36K miles) on a vacation out of Colorado with my family (Wife and Little daughter). I drove from Boulder, CO to LA and was driving this big guy was fun. Stayed in LA couple weeks then I went to San Diego to see zoo and Sea World. On Saturday we went to zoo, came back and drive my BMW x5 to Los Angles Americas shopping center. Had good time shopping center and finished the dinner. Then got in to X5. Started the car. Something unusual. Heard some big fan noise and then opened bonnet and looked for noise. Fan was running like chopper blades. Thought it’s because of air-conditioning is running in full mode. Then drive the car for 1 mile and suddenly engine over heating symbol displayed on dashboard. Then I took my car in near gas station (it was midnight, 10:30 PM in new place) and stopped. Luckily internet was on my smart phone and searched the internet for this problem and found lots of postings. After reading these posts, I understand something went wrong in engine cooling system. I called my insurance guy to tow the car and drop at nearest BMW dealer. Tow guys showed up in 30 minutes and off loaded all the things out of my car and handed it tow guys. My hotel is quite far and I need a car to go to sea world next day .I took taxi to airport to rent a car. Around 2 AM reached hotel...I was trusting BMW than any other brand because all that I was feeling that BMW are made finest engineering company and will not break down at least within 60k miles. My perception was wrong. Today morning I got a call from dealer and said electronic water pump is broken. The repair cost would be 1300 USD.I searched internet and NHTSA for recalls. I found one recall 11V521000 about the same issue. BMW recalled 2008-1011. I called BMW Customer Care about the same thing. They took around 55 minutes to find the recall information. Finally they said your VIN is not under the list. My problem is same exact problem what they recalled for. The supervisor was very rude (Her name is CASEY **, Resolution Specialist, Customer Relation Department) at me and behaved like she is the only decision maker in BMW. I felt really very bad and regretting why I bought BMW. The colleague was next to me was able to hear all the conversation. He is worried now because he owns X5 and M3. What bad service from BMW.

I purchased this BMW 2011 740 li for my wife 9/14 with $55k miles from BMW Murrieta. We have barely had this car two years and has been in the shop 75 days with over $23k paid in repairs. Problems began immediately after we purchased the car. BMW Murrieta told me this car had a thorough 180 point inspection, rear brakes were gone in 300 miles. I took it back and complained, BMW Murrieta warrantied the rear brakes and rotors. 58k Miles - noise in front end, diagnosed as thrust rod bushings, those were replaced. 59K miles, seat motors go out, replaced those. 60k miles - noise in the rear - cv joints went out, replace those. 61k miles, power steering pump starts leaking and making noise, belt tensioner fails as well. Replaced both as well as the accessory belt. 62k miles, check engine light comes on, fuel tank supply line / pressure sensor fails, replaced those, 68k miles, check engine light comes on - turbo low pressure, replaced, gaskets, collars and vacuum lines. 70k miles check engine light comes on, turbo low pressure - turbo failed, replaced turbos and pressure converters. All good for a while. 89k miles, check engine light comes on - fuel injectors fail, replaced all fuel injectors. 92k miles check engine light comes on - transmission leaks all over driveway and slipping. Replaced inner mechatronics seal, fluid, pan and seal. 102k miles check engine light comes on, car overheating - water pump fails, replace water pumps, coolest and various gaskets, seals. 103k miles check engine light comes on - vacuum lines on turbo fail again, also replaced valve cover, gaskets and more sensors. 103.5k miles, transmission cooler leaking, replace cooler and lines. Anyone who doesnt believe me, I have all the service records I would be happy to post.During all this time, BMW Murrieta never recommends that a factory inspector come look at the car for all the issues, BMW America never reaches out to us for any customer service (not sure if they would know this car was in the shop so much unless the dealer would have told them). I call BMW America to see if they can help us at all with all the issues on the car. They open a case to inspect service records, all the money we have spent on repairs at the shop, all the down time, etc. This gets escalated to a gentleman named Kurt ** - Executive Customer Care (the title actually sounds like they care, THEY DONT!!) Two weeks later they call me and tell me the BMW does not meet their criteria for any kind of help. He tells me they wont buy it back, I tell him I dont want or expect them to buy it back. I tell him, Im just hoping you would take a look at the service records, all the money I have spent repairing this car (over half of what I paid for it), take into consideration all the stress, frustration, down time, rental cars, etc. and see if you can help me in any way keep this thing on the road and out of the dealers mechanic bay. Maybe some help with a trade or maybe some kind of help with an extended warranty, he tells me they cannot do anything, the service records and time in the shop do not meet any of their criteria for help.I will never ever buy another BMW in my life. This car has been the biggest joke amongst friends and family. They all warned me not to buy a BMW, especially a used one, even if its a CPO or not, doesnt matter if you buy it from the dealer or not. Once you take the car, youre on your own. BMW will not help you with any issues you have. This BMW is the most unreliable car I have ever owned period. Ill stick to my Chevys, Fords and Hondas.

Bought myself a new car, very exciting right? WRONG! Not if its a BMW! I bought this car less than 30k miles, 2014. This Friday will be my 3rd time taking it to the shop in less than a month. Its still under warranty, but now Im seeing signs, as I did with my Pontiac Firebird money pit. Feels like something is wrong with the mass air flow, tranny, parking lamp malfunction, now check engine light is on. Whats next??? Idk anyone who is taking their car in every week on their day off. Contacting Carmax and my creditor to check out other options. Honda and Toyota here I come! BMW IS RUNNING A RACKET!!!

I have owned several cars, and in the modern Era, the E60 535i started off with tons of trouble, along with my X6M. My E85 Z4 was an amazing car, even if it was not a drivers car with the electronic steering, but I loved it. I got the 535i as a daily driver. Water pumps (2), fuel pumps (2), disintegrating chargepipe, multiple injector replacements (2x had all of them replaced), the mystery 30ff error nobody can fix, the seat mat/airbag issue, the wastegate rattle and it would not be a BMW without a leaky valve cover gasket. There was always something wrong. So I bought an X6M a few months ago. Airbag recall, battery recall, injector recall... I have owned E30s, E9, E38, E39, E85 and an E31. Mostly trouble-free cars, then came the turbos and BMWs total inability to make a good engine that does not start causing issues, interiors that look dated and recalls that keep it parked more than I drive it. Even the driving experience has gone to hell.

Engine rebuild after 110,000 miles - Heres the scenario. I was driving home from work and a yellow thermometer lit up on the display screen and in less than 10 seconds, a red thermometer was displayed. I pulled off the freeway and immediately felt the lack of power in the car. It felt like I was driving a 4 cylinder car. There was never any warning of low fluids or overheating before this. I filled it with BMW coolant and drove it to my mechanic. While I was driving to the mechanic, I got a low fluid warning, yellow thermometer and red thermometer within 30 seconds. My mechanic took a look at it and I have a blown head gasket, which is costing me $2200. Ive owned the car since day one and have kept up with all the maintenance, with one year out of warranty. I didnt expect this to happen. BMW has to add temperature gauges to their center display. I had no knowledge that my engine was overheating or that I was low on fluid until it was too late. Im out $2,200 and need to find alternative transportation while my car is being repaired. At this point, I would not recommend a BMW for anyone.

Since July 2011 they keep on telling that they will tell the current owner to bring the car so that they can remove it and get it fitted in my new car. Till today, they are not giving me back my tracker unit. What is frustrating is that they dont want to tell me the truth or maybe they lost it. I dont know, I just keep on waiting for them.

I have a 2007 BMW 328xi that I have been having gear, transmission and electrical, air conditioning issues. The car shuts off, stalls and shuts off, air conditioner doesnt work, alert lights on dashboard light up and now gears arent shifting and car cannot move into drive, reverse, neutral and park. So now I have no car. BMW has just given me the run around not addressing the problems finding other issues just to cover and hide their blatant disregard of the 3 series issues. I saw that there are many complaints and the there is a place to officially file a complaint to NHTA 888-327-4236. Please file a complaint if you’re experiencing any issues. BMW cant continue to ignore the issues and try to hide all complaints like they dont exist! And someone gets killed. Please FB or Twitter to get the word out!

I admit that I loved my BMW as this was my dream car. Finally, we could afford to buy one. I went against my husbands advice to buy a Toyota/Lexus. I wanted a BMW, my dream car, because I thought the quality & engineering were superior. In December 2011, I went to get a checkup on my BMW 2008. There was a leakage when the engine light came on & BMW team in Pleasanton said they fixed the car and no issue was raised. The car was fine. Yeah! Just this month, in early May 2012 (5 months after), the engine service light came on briefly. I think it is because of the oil change needed, so I take it to the dealership. I thought the warranty was still valid, as the car has only 46000 miles on it (

I purchased a Certified 328i from Keeler BMW in Schenectady 10/15. The car had 29,000 miles on it when I purchased. Certified means that the car should be covered for most issues until it reaches either 100k or 3/12/19. My engine blew within 9 months of owning the car. BMW first tried telling me that they werent sure this was going to be covered. After threatening to sue, a new engine was ordered from overseas and covered. Shortly after, there was a recall and the oil line had to be replaced. I was told this would take 4 hours. I waited for over 8 hrs. Only 2-3 months later I found over an inch of water in the back of the car which soaked through the floor mats and through the carpet. The door seals broke. Yet another fight with BMW because they first claimed that this happens and that the door seals werent covered. They eventually covered them but never bothered addressing the fact that the carpets were soaked for weeks while I waited for an appointment to get the seals fixed. One would think that they would dry and professionally clean the carpets to rid of mold and mildew. They didnt bother, so now theres a lovely smell of mildew throughout my car. This brings me to one of the rear doors not opening for months due to the lock not working. I can only assume this is because water was running through the door panel when the seals werent working. Another fix. Theres a short in the passenger seats sensor. I have to keep the seat belt buckled when the seat is empty just so the annoying beeping will stop. I noted this as one of the items to be taken care of when I dropped the car off to have the door seals replaced. The dealership neglected to fix it. The bluetooth doesnt work. I have to have my phone plugged in, it wont pickup otherwise. As of todays date, 07/31/2017, my car has 70,000 miles on it with coverage thats supposed to extend up to 100,000 miles. The car sounds like a go kart when I start it and turn it off. Ive contacted BMW several times asking what they will do in terms of a tradein. Im tired of having this car serviced and out of commission for days, at times, weeks. I use my car for my business. There are certain standards that should be met by BMW considering the consumer is paying for the brand name and customer service that is supposed to be associated along with. If I wanted a car that was going to be in the shop every month, Id buy a 3k beater off of Craigslist. BMW has only offered me $1,500 towards a NEW BMW as a resolution. Completely unreasonable. This car is a LEMON. I would expect the company to recognize this and offer a more reasonable resolution. This is my third BMW. Wheres the customer service? Perhaps at Mercedes.

I had issue from the start with the front end still never figured out what the noise was coming from. I now have 75,000 miles on it in the garage every night regular maintenance and this year alone problem after problem - Oil pan gasket leak $842+, Valve cover gasket leak $802+. Blower and wires fried replaced $750+, Gasket on the housing for oil filter $800+, Front struts $1450+. These prices are from the dealer that I purchased the car from brand new at @35k - nice loyalty to repeat customers, time to go back to a Honda and not Keeler.

I purchased a brand new 2006 525i. It has been my dream car, and I was excited to make this new purchase. I have kept regular service and maintenance on this vehicle, and keep it in the garage at all times when I am at home. I have another car that I drive to work during the week, so the BMW is mainly used as my weekend vehicle. About four years later, I noticed the paint starting to wear on the hood. Then about three or four months after that, the paint on the roof of the car started to fade, and lastly the paint on the trunk of the car, noticed fading. I took it to Tom Williams and spoke with the service manager and the regional manager, who was scheduled to be in town that day. They took my vehicle to one of the service men, and he stated that it looked like soap may have been left on the car and that it could be buffed out. From there, they informed me to take it to their Collision Center to have it buffed out. The servicemen at the Collision Center told me that they could not buff it out and that it was a defect in the clear coat that was originally put on the car. I was given an 800 number from the servicemen at BMW, and from there, they told me that my vehicle was out of warranty. I took it to a few other local body shops, and they informed me of the same thing; that it was the clear coat that was poorly applied. The local serviceman asked me if I had the car shipped, and I answered yes. I special ordered this vehicle and had it shipped here to the U.S. He informed me that he had other customers who had the same complaint and that it may have been the salt water that caused the paint fade. He informed me that it was a water-borne clear coat that was initially put on the car, and that it was a poor type of paint that is not designed to last for the amount of money that consumers pay for this type of vehicle. This is my dream car, and it is very disappointing to know that I invested this much money in a vehicle to have to drive around with fading paint. I have a Toyota that I have had and driven for 15 years now, and the paint is still intact, and it puzzles me that and after five years the paint on my BMW is worn.

I am trying to sell this piece of crap that I bought...was in a hurry and fell for sweet-talking seller. Now I discover that it has a branded title with a buy-back history. The vehicle BMW 328i Sedan was apparently bought back by BMW NA and then they did something to the vehicle. The buyer I have located is interested but wants to know what was done to the cat during buy-back and was put back to sale by BMW NA. When I call them, they say they can give service history but not what caused the buy-back nor what was done before they put it back on market. Dealership that bought the car post Buyback nor any others are giving any information.Since buying I have spent close to $5000 for repairs and they are growing by minute. I was surprised and appalled at the apathy to consumer request at BMW NA. Since then I have done lots of research and found BMW is worse than any American mfg. company. American companies connect you to their warranty department and service experts and try to do justice to your request. Not so with BMW. The customer service reps at BMW NA either refused to connect me to higher ups or disconnected me. One rep clearly told me that information is with higher ups and when I requested to connect me, she flatly refused. It is amazing that they seem to have no qualms about this and have been trained to behave this way, that much was clear. Best suggestion to you is to dump this expensive piece of junk and do yourself a favor. Forget dealing with this stupid company or its cars.

Im a long term BMW customer that took pride and enjoyment in driving BMW products. I have purchased 4 motorcycles and 2 cars. Sadly, I had the misfortune of purchasing a 2009 BMW 1300 GT (vin # **) with 11 pages of recall repairs. I purchased the bike from BMW of Oklahoma in 2010. The bike was a demo. I have found out that the dealer had stalling problems with the bike because in 01/23/2010 (6510 km) the shop worked on testing software. At time of purchase, I was not informed that the bike had a serious problem or that BMW had issued a Recall 09V471000 on the bike - Engine stalling could result in vehicle crash dated 12/04/2009. Remedy: BMW will notify owners and repair the motorcycle free of charge. BMW did not notify me of the recall. If I had been notified of the recall, I would never have driven the bike and would have gotten in touch with BMW.On 07/29/2011 (33234 km) I took the bike to Bobs BMW because the engine was stopping: again testing software. On 06/22/2013 (65734 km), while on vacation, I took the bike to Eurosport BMW of Asheville for the same problem: same repair. I did not ride the bike in 2014. I started having same problems again this year. While on vacation, I stopped at BMW dealer of Montreal on 07/08/2015 (38493 miles). They said the problem was not software but the stepper (idle) motor and airbox. On way home, I stopped at Velocity Cycle BMW dealership. They made the same recommendation as the Montreal dealer.I have been in touch with BMWs customer service and all I keep hearing is stalling tactics: bike is out of warranty, waiting response from regional representative... Im tired of being ignored and given bad information. Its fortunate that Im a good driver and have not crashed when the engine stopped. I have taken the bike off the road and will not drive it. Will someone in BMW please take action and solve this problem.

Today I went 25K regular service for my 2016 X+ BMW car. And I waited almost more than 2 hours and service just finished. Service manager told to me My X4 and many X4 has some problem about on back seat babe sitting fixing problem. This is fabrication error for all X4 BMW models. And they told to me this between 2-5 days service and they offer me complementary car replace with my car and fix my car. I accepted and I waited more than 1 hours. After that they took my car and they offer me TOYOTA COROLLA for one week driving for free. But I bought less than 1 year ago paid 59 K and bought BMW X4 and service try to give me Corolla. Ridiculous and I didnt accepted and go back to my house and I waste my time for with stupid paper works.I wont refer to anyone and BMW driver do not choose this Service... And service guy extremely rude too. His name is Joseph **. Dont waste your time and try another BMW service and dealer. My 2012 BMW X5 was recalled and I took it to BMW of North Scottsdale to have the work done. They had to remove the oil filter or something and apparently did not bleed it properly. I went on a trip and limped into Denver where I took it to Schomp BMW. They had to replace the oil pump ---it must have burned out due to air in the line. NOW apparently due to the oil pump going out the ENGINE has major problems and the cheapest way to fix it is replace the engine. There is a rocker arm problem with some of this years but mine is not in the VIN # for that problem so is likely a rod.

Reliable, fast, safe and well built. I had an old BMW that just kept on running even when it needed repairs. It kept going and got me to where I needed to be. This 20 year old car looked no more older than most 10 year old cars and with over 250,000 miles on it. Ran and started up better than many newer vehicles of lesser years and miles; that is until admittedly my dog and I caused interior damage that aged the vehicles appearance. That 1996 BMW 740il was still running and reliably starting every day right up until when I sold it to someone who was willing to fix it up a bit and run it some more. I have spoken to many people that state, BMWs are known to last beyond the 300,000 miles that few other cars make it to.

I DID PURCHASE A BRAND NEW BMW 520 D from BMW from the Cochin dealer in India, Completed 3 years and done less than 20000KM, regularly serviced at BMW, last servicing done at 15000 km. Recently it was noticed that only one of the rear brake pads had worn out and had badly damaged the disc while all other brake pads are okay and the BMW intelligent maintenance system display showing all brake pads okay. The system is showing all brake pads okay, a rear brake pad replacement after 4100KM and front brake pad replacement after 37000KM ! THE KEY DATA AND THE Printout also confirms that while it failed to monitor and display any warning even after the pads badly damaged, the disc (we noticed it after hearing abnormal sound, otherwise we would have stranded some WHERE). Although the dealer said that he will write to BMW, as expected he came back to us asking for our consent to repair the discs for approx. US$1400. He failed to give any explanation for the failure of the BMW intelligent maintenance system, CBS, The I drive display, VEHICLE information display, etc. and is not ready to own any responsibility to ensure a reliable system, leaving us doubts about the reliability of other data shown on the display about the wear and tear, fluid levels, etc. Such an irresponsible response is unacceptable for expensive vehicles as the systems has to be reliable and if there is a fault and consequent damage, inconvenience to its clients, the company should take responsibility and get the matters sorted out at the shortest time possible.

My girlfriend drove her BMW 328I up from Florida on Sept. 24th, and when she got it here, she noticed that the window was down and would not roll up (motor broken). It was late at night, so we didnt want to leave the car out on the street with a window down in NYC. We called BMW Roadside Assistance and they had a tow truck company come pick up the car. Since it was late, they said they would take the car to their lot and then drop it off at BMW Dealership the following morning. The next morning, the tow company called us and said they dropped it off and it would be ready in a couple of days. We then called the BMW dealership when we thought the car would be ready, and they informed us that they never received the car nor had any information on the car. It turned out that the tow company wrecked the car, and they were trying to cover it up and fix the car themselves. They basically took the car to a chop shop in the Bronx and it looked like they were trying to replace parts of the car with aftermarket parts that were not BMWs. We went to the Bronx with the cops and had another tow truck come out and move the car to the BMW dealership. It has now been exactly 1 month and BMW has not even started working on the car yet. We filed claims with BMW Roadside Assistance and BMW Customer Service, and they never get back to us when we call to try and figure out what is going on. I have been getting the runaround from everyone I speak with and when I ask to speak to a supervisor, they say they have no other contacts they can give. The BMW dealership has tried to contact Roadside Assistance, and they are not even able to get a hold of them. Now the dealership wants to charge $85 a day for storage of the car. Meanwhile, weve been without a car this whole time and there is no end in sight on when the car will be fixed. At this point, Im not really sure what to do, or what legal action we should take. Any help you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated.

Several inches of water was found in a trunk compartment and the electronic circuitry found in the truck now needs to be replaced. I googled the symptoms and found a class action lawsuit settlement covering this issue for years 2004-2010 but not my 2011. I purchased a CPO BMW because I wanted to feel safe and secure that the vehicle was well maintained. The cherry on top was that I would be getting free maintenance for 3 years. Then I found out the restrictions along with the free maintenance which includes only one oil change a year. I live in an area where there is no BMW dealership. So after two years, I took my vehicle in to a local place so that I could get oil changes after 6 months. I thought it would be a good test to see how good the place was too since I would be taking it in to the dealership the next time. The service place reset the indicator lights on my BMW so that I wouldnt get the incessant notification - I thought was nice of them to do that. My mistake. I took my vehicle in after 50,000 miles to get it serviced and BMW said they couldnt perform most of the major 45,000 and 50,000 mile maintenance because the service light wasnt on. I tried to escalate by calling Customer Relations, but they pushed it back to the Dealership and the area managers. The area managers said since I hadnt been in to a dealership for over a year, it showed that I didnt have any brand loyalty.Keep in mind the closest BMW dealership to me is about 45 minutes away - so not a quick drop off. Also, keep in mind I went the past two years and realized they would only perform maintenance on my vehicle once a year anyway - anything earlier and I wasnt qualified for any service. Seriously? How much does it cost to change spark plugs on my car anyway?!?! Theyve certainly lost a customer in me. I was going to have other service completed ($800+) but after this treatment, Ill take my chances and go to a local place instead.Ill give them credit that they did perform some of the other warranty covered items (like replacing gaskets, etc.), but it makes me angry and frustrated that they wont perform the regularly scheduled maintenance items due to me not having brand loyalty, especially when Ive always gone to BMW except for one time. And something as minor as not changing spark plugs has decidedly made me never to buy BMW again. I love the way the cars drive, but the joy of driving it doesnt compensate for the poor treatment I get as a customer. I should have listened to everyone else who said BMW doesnt care about their customers.

I own a 2007 BMW 530i and cant believe the problems it is giving me. I have taken it to the dealer every month since August 2011 until now. I had major problems with power steering not working, alternator pulley damaged with belt, engine overheating, left fuel level sensor cap leaking, coolant pump not working, lower radiator hose and coolant temp sensor leaking, vibrating at high speed, radiator leakage at the bottom and after radiator replacement upper radiator hose was leaking. Stranded again with internal fault in starter as per the dealers service center. Washer fluid pump leakage was found. After all the repairs since August, I ended up at the dealers with transmission malfunction indicator and was told it was due to one of the crankshaft sensors that was faulty. During the check, they also found oil filter housing gasket leaking. Owning this car has been one expensive and frustrating experience. I would not recommend this car. We pay the price for quality and not this torture. I have owned a Mazda 323,Toyota Sienna, Camry, Mercedes and Volkswagen that have lasted for more than 175,000 miles with no major issues. Owning this car has been the worst experience of my life. I contacted the corporate office for BMW and was told that they will take the complaint but no one from their office has to call us back.

Love this car (X1) great value for the price. It drives beautifully and has UNBELIEVABLE radius. Its extremely solid and easy to keep clean. However, its small inside and will not fit standard car seats. Also, the beeping and chimes are total overkill and cause anxiety. The clock cannot be seen well. The worst part is the locks. I was told by an honest employee at BMW in GA that all plastic on the newer BMWs are recycled and sprayed on. I am now getting peeling plastic all over the inside of my car (2006 BMW 330i). My outside passenger lower panel is coming off because the screws are plastic and cheap and cant hold the panel, so the panel is falling off. My back window regulator which, again, is made of plastic, wont let me roll up my window. Once the window is down, its broken! It wont go back up!I hate BMWs. Like one mechanic told me, BMW has built these cars to break down. They dont want you getting 200,000 or 300,000 miles on them, any longer. My car is 19,500 miles and since December 2011, my car had been at the shop for 13 times. It’s in the shop again right now and I dont know when Im going to get it back. Its one problem after another. BMW advertised their cars as the ultimate driving machine, I think the quality of their cars had felt way below standard. There is nothing I can do about it since besides selling it. Dont bother to call their service manager or BMW of North America to waste your time. You will be going around in circles and you will find yourself angrier with gaining nothing. After using the car for about a month, with a mileage of 1,600 km, I observed a bulge on the tire (continental run flat). After sending and requesting for a change of tire on many occasions, my request was denied.BMW cited external factors for the tire bulge, thus declining my request for a new tire. My claim was that the car is still under warranty; BMW staff even agreed that this is a common problem with this kind of tire. If so, why supply such tires for my car? Even if there was an external factor (as claimed by BMW), it must have been minimal as there is no dent on the rim or the body. If the tire can’t withstand a small impact (if any), it must be a sub standard tire. Thus, I request for a new high quality tire for the car. Please advise, thank you.

Two months ago I had to replace a regulator in the rear drivers side window. I own a 2008 BMW 328i BMW. This past week I was on my way to work. Im a international flight attendant and my schedule was for me to be flying for 7 days straight. As I pulled out of my driveway, I tried raising my rear passenger side window. Once again it was broken and would not raise. I stopped at a nearby automotive and the mechanic was able to get the window out of the door and taped it in the up position. There are a lot of thief at any airport at any time of day. I was lucky no one touched my car but shame on BMW. Making a plastic regulator on a car that is supposed to be of high quality. I guess I need to prepare for the 2 front window regulators to go out soon. Plastic is a cheap inferior product compared to metal. It cost a lot a time I put the car in the shop. Your products and mechanics are over rated. The last time I put my car in a BMW dealership for normal check, the mechanic left his drill in the engine. 2006 BMW 5501 - I purchased my car new from Santa Barbara, CA dealer in December 2006. I paid over $60,000. By the end of 2010, I noticed the paint on hood was fading and a white cloud began to appear. I took it to the dealer, who did not have any suggestions and thought it might be from car washes. But there was nothing they could do, it was not covered by the warranty. It got worse and spread to the roof of the car (but the sides and back look like brand new). I had another shop look at it. He said waxing would do me no good, that the car would have to be repainted and that the car was likely damaged when it was brought in on the boat. They probably repaired it and in doing so, had to repaint or touch up the paint, altering the original paint job and the clear coat finish. I have brought the paint condition to the dealer both in person and in writing, but I get the same answer - not warranted. In addition, the rubber around both my front and rear windshields has totally disintegrated. There is nothing left. I brought this to the attention of the dealer. I was told my car was out of warranty. Other BMW owners have told me they have experienced the same. This seems to be a common problem. You would think BMW could afford to use a higher quality rubber on their vehicles. I have had several issues with this car. A bad exhaust smoking problem, while my car was under warranty, which took months of complaint writing to the dealer as well as BMW North America to finally have them diagnose the problem and make the repair. I love driving the car and the BMW look, but I am so disappointed with the quality and the service of BMW. For the amount of money they charge and the advertisements regarding ultimate driving machine, you would think they would do better in the customer relationship department and stand behind their product.

I have a very high threshold for dissatisfaction, but my recent experience with BMW caused me to take the time to document my experience as I wanted to share how bad it was with as many consumers as possible to save you from the same experience. I have spent over $400K on five 7-series cars over the last 15+ years as an extremely loyal BMW buyer. My current $100K+ 750iL just passed over 65K miles and the extended warranty expired and to my surprise, mechanical issues have not stopped materializing! I contacted BMW NA to find out what $400K over 15+ years of loyalty meant to them. Evidently, it means nothing! They pushed me to a call center rep who was clueless and of zero assistance, and she kept to the script. I guess BMW feels that everyone will just cave and do nothing when they are pushed aside. It shocks me that in the current environment where brand loyalty is critical to the corporate bottom line, BMW obviously feels that someone in their mid-40s who will be in their target market for the next 40 years has no value. I wonder if Mercedes and Audi feel the same way? Extremely dissatisfied in Barrington!

The Front Seat Occupant Protection Mat icon on my 2007 BMW 328XI has been displayed on my dash instrumentation for over a year. I looked up the recalls on this vehicle on www.safecars.org and it indicated that the model was recalled. The summary at the website stated, In the event of a crash the front passenger airbag could be deactivated increasing risk of personal injury.I called BMW Customer Relations to inquire about the recall and the representative informed me that my vehicle VIN number was not part of the recall. He informed me that my vehicle was not in that production run, although it was produced the same year. Therefore my vehicle did not meet the requirements for the recall. I understand that numerous BMW owners have made a similar complaint about their vehicle and recalls are usually initiated in this manner. BMW routinely changes part numbers, but apparently leaves no follow-up reference to find the part one seeks. I ended up contacting BMWs CHAIRMAN Harald Kruger with a message that lifted him off his chair. The immediate result from Krugers office was that BMW had found the unobtainable and extinct parts I requested... But at DOUBLE their advertised price. They changed their part number (for the 5th time in one instance), then doubled the price. Was I shafted?? Ill never waste another nickel with BMW and recommend the same to you.

BMW limited warranty is a joke, BMW customer relations is a joke, BMW customer reimbursement center is a joke as well. One star is a understatement! Would not waste your time on this overpriced garbage unless you have money to burn and time to waste! Avoid BMW like the plague! Customer service is the pits! Trying to have anything repaired by them is a joke and a waste of time. How many recalls does a car need before they will buy it back? You have been warned. Stay clear.

I have finally decided to share this with all so that everyone who owns a BMW i8 understands what can happen! The purpose of me sharing this with you is that The Ultimate Driving Machine did not turn out to be ultimate for us! This was a very traumatic experience for us. My daughter and I still have nightmares about it. Thank God my daughter and I got out of the car in time before it bursted into flames. Please note this car is not even a year old and less than 7000 miles! The worst part was I was scared and panicked as I could not open the wing door. This happened on September 2nd 2017!

I send my car to BMW of Main line on Bala ave, Bala Cynwyd PA to fix the engine as I noticed a white smoke come out of tail pipe. The car have only 80 K. After they take the car for about month they give me the car. I drive the car for about two months. It was time to change the oil. I go to another BMW dealer closer from my new home. After they change the oil I noticed a ticking noise. At the time I go to pickup my car, they inform me that this issue inside the engine and I should take the car to the dealer who open the engine for me as this engine should be under cover. I called BMW of main line and I called BMW of north America. NO one helped me, no one even their manager told me to take it to BMW who change the oil and the one who change the oil, they told me to take it to the one who open the engine. They forgot that both of them are BMW and I dont care how they deal with this thing. I just need this ticking noise to be fixed. They only smile on your face when you are there to buy a car, then when you go back to fix something that they cant handle they just keep ignoring you. They look for cheap mechanic to handle our cars. They are not professionals.

At the end of the 4th year, my front windshield rubber sealer started cracking and falling off - small cracks on the back window as well. I talked to my dealer and I was told, It is normal. Ive never had such normal experience with other vehicles - Ford, Nissan, Lexus and Benz. It is not covered under warranty. I was told it is not even a service provided at the dealership. Id be better off if I just call an auto glass shop. I strongly advise BMW to use better material for the sealer.

I purchased a Custom 530i series in 2005. The car has been the best in performance and care. We only just recently had to invest $ into the car and it has 119000 miles on it and that was for brakes. The only issue I have to complain is replacing tires every 2 years. Yes the handling is awesome BUT they should warn you that it wears on tires more than the average car.

I have a major problem with my 2007 BMW X3! The motor mount brackets are broken and my engine isnt sitting in its correct place anymore! This sounds like a manufacturing defect and a huge safety issue (this is my family car and my family could have been seriously injured). I purchased my X3 certified pre-owned and added extended maintenance. This should be covered but BMW of Henderson, NV said that it is not, and would have occurred due to driver error. That is ** and I could have never caused this. I only drive on streets and highway roads, plus, I baby my car! I bought a BMW because of its reputation and am hugely disappointed! I wanted to stick with BMWs and planned to always own a BMW until this incident! I dont trust the brand as much as I used to and I cant believe that a BMW dealership wont own up to something that should be a huge safety concern and should be covered--my family and other families safety!

I contacted BMW customer relations as my sunroof was not closing properly. I had extended warranty but I received a follow-up call to notify me that BMW would not honor the repairs. My request for an additional escalation path was denied by Paige and Erin (customer service manager/supervisor) because according to them, they were at the highest level. I requested the physical street address for the corporate office in NJ, in which I was also denied. They do not escalate cases and if you open a complaint, they do not tell you what they would do with that. They also refuse to send you a letter, which gives the reason for denial. BMW customer relations sucks big time!

This is my current car. I have had it 8 years. It is a 2004 E46 BMW M3, I think it is the most beautiful of the M3s (probably biased). It is such a fast car and can quickly lull you into thinking 100 mph is 50 mph. The brakes and handling add to the effect. Always keep an eye on the speedometer! Its 2 door sedan bodywork is very practical. There are seat belts for 5 inside. My car has unusual Caramel leather upholstery with Birds Eye Maple wood trim. These M3s are starting to go up in value which is a nice surprise. I would recommend that anyone that can should invest in a M3 now before they increase in value much more.

How many of you guys have had to replace your door handles on your BMW X5 from the year 2005 to 2008? How many of you had to replace your windows and how many times have you had to do it? Theres a defect - very very bad defective thing in their door handles to the point where they will break and you cannot get in or out of your vehicle. Also with the windows they will fall all the way into your car like theyre not like its not heavy enough to hold it. Okay its a shame that all of us have had to go through this and we repair it and we dont ever do anything about it. If I would have known that I wouldnt have purchased it. I cant get in my car from the outside at all without going through a window after breaking my car every time I want to drive it. Its a BMW X5 2005. Thats a shame. Should no luxury vehicle have a handle broke on a car. Ive never met or seen a car that had a broken door handle or is that the windows just fall down into it like the wires are not heavy enough. But BMW does not want to admit that its a defect. I dont know why theres no class action lawsuit but I will warn you do not buy yourself a BMW X5. The handles will break and you will repair them all of them. You will not be able to get into your car okay. Dont even do it. Its not even worth it their alternators. The car goes through alternators like its going out of style. Every time you turn around youll be buying a new alternator because the oil sticks into the alternator. These BMWs are highly defective mostly all of them. I dont know nobody who hasnt repaired a door handle. Do not buy one of these.

We purchased a 2010 BMW 535i station wagon from Bob Smith BMW in Calabasas 4 years ago. We even paid for extended warranty to 100k miles. The engine broke down on 89k miles. Contacted BMW North America AND Bob Smith to repair, no one takes responsibility to help us. After the car had to towed to Bob Smith for diagnosed (it was already diagnosed elsewhere to determined the engine went bad already) they told us it will cost over $1600 to diagnosed. Then they told us it will cost us over $20,000 to replace the engine. Yes, you read it correctly... $20,000 NOT $2,000.Bad customer service when it comes to warranty. Only if we could beg the public not to purchase BMW, we would. If youre thinking of owning one, please think twice before you do it. BMW will give you the best service when everything is going well, but the minute something is seriously wrong with the car they will show their true color. So sad & extremely disappointed with the way BMW handled the whole situation. Weve owned 4 BMW but we are going a different direction now. Unfortunately we still have another BMW 328i, cant wait to just get rid of it as well. Sighed.

On 08th of September I collected brand new BMW X1 (my dream car), sDrive16d SE N47 2.0, GU64EVC from your dealership. The car is defective and the faults are: 1. Very stiff reverse gear (due to this now I am suffering from a tennis elbow on my left hand). 2. The In car sat nav system which cost me 890.00 (low volume mainly when driving in motorways & giving wrong directions). My TomTom sat nav, which I bought for 200.00 is about 5 years old and have much more features and options than the pricy in car sat nav (if I have known this I would not buy it). 3. The driver seat is too low & most uncomfortable car I have ever driven in my whole life. Every time I take a long drive I end up having severe back pains. (I am at a point that I can’t risk my health). I have to say, I am very disappointed & have lost my trust in BMW due to the entire experience. I have been told by service department that they cant find any fault with the car and they are not going to help me. Few more issues I would like to make you aware of the car, these glitches don’t occur continuously however do happen and truly frustrating: The radio/music stop functioning unexpectedly, Unable to use the Bluetooth, Sat nav disappear from the screen, Tire pressure warning light keep on appearing. It seem as I have to check the tire pressure every two weeks. How inconvenient is this.

I filed for bankruptcy on the 7th of July, 2010. BMW financial services was not listed. I kept the vehicle (certified used, finance purchase in 2007) and continued my monthly payments as per contract which was signed when I purchased the vehicle. After a year out of bankruptcy, this August 2011, I was informed that I do not have any grace period. I have written to BMW and the reply was, the contract can not be changed because of bankruptcy. I am not asking to change the due date which is the 28th of each month, the 8 or 10 days grace period is in question of which I had the advantage of, before and after bankruptcy which helped me to meet my monthly payment. BMW has taken away this grace period. This is terrible in these days when the economy (lack of jobs) is a bad shape. I just have merely a year to pay off on the vehicle. Does BMW care about good customer relationship as they can re-posses the vehicle and sell vehicles more than the owed balance?

The car (2013 BMW 550i M pack) has been top 10 from day one, a little low on gas mileage but great power. This has been my 4th BMW and just about all of them have been nothing but excellent automobiles, that said, I wont be getting a 5th, Moritz BMW on Arlington TX was just outstanding on making the sales, very happy with the experiences but... the service department was nothing but condescending and arrogant folks. I try Autobahn in Fort Worth TX and they did a lot better but still, not at the level I was hoping for. The car outperformed just about anything I ever had except for minor details. Because of the 2013 M pack the car has 20 wheels and they seem to be great for highway high speed but on plain city streets you need to be very careful. I purchased a full coverage road hazard contract for the tires and wheels so, after some unfortunate road bumps, some tires had to be replaced. A great car and thats the true, power train, body, interior, electronics and the whole thing. Honestly I couldnt find a better tuned road beast for under the price I paid for it, around $73000.00. The only other car with enough quality worth of mentioning was a 2009 Mercedes-Benz E350 Sport Package, that was too a great car but, thats another story.

Days after, I got the car back and the same thing happened--the navigation system couldnt find the address. I read the work order and the work order said that nothing was done.I took it to the service department and the service manager advised me that BMW has always had issues with the navigation system and the salesman was supposed to disclose this to me. I purchased a 2011 X5 brand new from the factory back in 2011 and was experiencing some squeaking noises coming from the front end of the car. I complained to my servicing dealer about the problem back in 2011 or 2012 and they never took any action on the problem. However fast forward to 2013, the problem got worse and occurred on a frequent basis which was very embarrassing to me. In May of this year, my U-joint broke. My truck was down for about 2 1/2-3 weeks. During this time I complained about the squeaking noise as well. The U-joint was repaired; however, the truck was still making the squeaking noise. Took the truck back to the dealer for the noise. The truck was down again for about another 2 weeks. However the squeaking noise was still occurring. I took the truck back again but I was told by my service advisor he didnt hear the noise so I should record it when I hear it and email him the noise so that he could send it to the shop foreman. I did so and returned the truck to the dealer. The truck was down for another 2-3 weeks and when I got it back, the squeaks turned into a whining noise. In addition to the fact that I now had oil leaks. At this point, I took the truck back to the dealer and filed complaints with the BBB, Consumer Affairs in addition to contacting BMW N. America. I was told that due to the mileage and age of my truck that BMW was not liable for the issues I was having with my truck thus they would not provide me with a new vehicle or provide a sufficient monetary amount to buy out my finance contract, etc. I am very disappointed that a luxury vehicle has performed so poorly and BMW does not want to immediately take responsibility for a defective product. However they did offer me $2k for my inconvenience on the condition that I sign a confidentiality agreement which would release them of all responsibility of any issues I may have with my vehicle past present and future in addition to agreeing to not disclose the nature of my experience with the defects and failures of my vehicle.

I purchased a BMW 228i from a authorized BMW dealer and right after one year with 12000 miles on it the original Pirelli tires on the car split from the sidewall. I know for sure that I didnt hit the curb or anything and the car is always garaged. When I spoke with BMW they said they cant do anything about it and you need to contact dealer. So I contact my deal and he said since you didnt purchased any tire warranty with us we cant do any thing and you need to pay $400 to replace the tire. Since it was important I went ahead and spend $400 for just one tire. Now its a month passed and the exactly same thing happened on another tire and this time I again contacted BMW asking if there is any manufacturing defect with the tire or wheels. They opened the case and asked me that we will take 3 days to revert back with the case. Its already 1 week passed and they never bother to revert back to me on whats going on with the case. Couple of days back I called customer service and they said its being assigned to the service manager Matt ** in BMW and if you want you can call at his extension otherwise he will revert back to you. I called at his extension 3 times. Left a voice message but they just dont bother to at least call me back and tell me we are working on it. It feels like they just dont care about they customers, not sure if they are working in the office or not. THE MOST PATHETIC customer service from such a big company. Now that not over, this time I went to discount tires for this tire issue and they said if you are at tread count lower than 2/32 (which is 8/32 since the new tires are at 10/32) since you purchase the new car which and if it is a run flat tires Pirelli (Original tires from BMW) will replace it for free and if the tread count is lower than that (8/32) it will calculated as pro rated basis. They called Pirelli themselves and give me after pro rated calculation. They gave me $100 back and also replaced it with new tires. Now when this happened to my another tire neither BMW or their authorized dealer (Ralph ** BMW), that you will get the pro rated amount back. It felt like Ive been cheated by BMW and their authorized dealer.

I lease a 2014 528i and I am about to return the car at the end of the Nov 2016. I have leased Lexus, Mercedes, Audi, Volvo and Toyota and I have never had such a ridiculously high inspection report/quote. They charged me for 3 tires @ $300 ea! (I have 34k miles on the car) and they charged me another $1200 dollars for absolutely normal small MINUTE DINGS on the bumpers. That is outrageous! I called customer service and everyone has a very pompous and entitled attitude. Theyre very rude! One supervisor finally removed 1 tire charge and 1 ding charge of $300 but still leaving me with an abusive $900 charge for a couple of very small dings that you can barely see.I called customer service a second time and the woman I spoke with was rude, short and useless! Not to mention that after driving the car for 2 years it started shaking and rattling when idled at a traffic light. These cars are not built well at all. They are the ultimate driving machine indeed. They will ultimately drive you broken, frustrated and unsatisfied. I was actually considering leasing an X6 but now I WILL NEVER LEASE OR BUY ANOTHER BMW AGAIN.

About two months ago I bought 2013 528i BMW CPO (Certified Pre-Owned). After buying the car overall I have driven the car for about a month. 2-3 weeks ago (that means I had the car less than month and half at the moment) I noticed that the driver seat upholstery has started cracking. The crack was very minor at the beginning and now apparently it is bigger (since very often I vacuum and clean my car I notice little things very easy...). I scheduled an appointment at Pacific BMW (BMW of Glendale, CA) and even I didnt think that I will stock in such situation since the mileage is less than 50,000 and the car is still within warranty and plus additionally I paid extra $7,000 for extended warranty. When I took the car to dealer the service adviser told me that the upholstery is not covered by warranty. Even counting the fact that my car has heated seats (heating elements in upholstery) still BMW doesnt cover such issues and to fix it will cost a lot of money since they have to replace the seat (OUT OF MY POCKET). No way! Its joke! I called BMW customer relations and explained that I just bought the car about month and half ago, that this 2013 528i is my 5th BMW and in the past I had 325i 525i, 328i, 5XX (dont even remember). The girl told me that she will try to do something and will call me back. About a week later received call from Supervisor or Manager of customer relations Kayla (sorry if misspelled) and she told me that BMW willing to cover 25% of the cost. Lets say if the cost of seat and labor is $2000 then they cover only $500!!! And for the car that I owned only month and half within warranty I have to pay $1500. So it was the second heart attack...I explained all the situation her that spending several tens of thousand, within warranty, customer for life... She said that all they willing to do now and she said if Im not going to do the job for 25% she will notify the service manager of the dealer that I change my mind. No way! Its totally rip off! You just barely sold the car to me and dont care about your customers and the facts. NEVER another BMW! I will tell my story all my friends and relatives and let them to decide if they want to face my situation and deal with BMW.

This car just fell apart. Its a 2008 BMW 750Li. The transmission went bad, the electronics went out and the worst part was the door would just open and not close when moving. I complained and they said they would recall but I have not heard anything about fixing the cars. A rep sends me an email for almost a year now many more saying that BMW in Germany is working on it. I had to get rid of the car because it was unsafe. I dont want the car fixed. I want compensation for my anxiety. Who protects consumers... who fights for the rights of the consumer. These cars should never have been allowed on the road. They have been numerous complaints about the safety and mechanical design quality of this car from a certain time frame. The complaints seem to disappear from the web after a period of time.

Without warning, my 2007 BMW 328Xi engine shut off and stopped in the middle of a busy road. I was told by a BMW service rep that my fuel tank draw tube fell off causing loss of fuel to the engine. I learned online that this is happening to other 2007 era BMWs and the reason is that the fuel draw tube is corroded by the fuel it is drawing and weakens and falls off. The fix is a new fuel tank, pump and draw tube for excess of $2,000.When contacted by my service rep, BMW gave a token $500 toward my repair leaving me with a $1,900 repair bill. Had this failure occurred on a busy Seattle freeway, my life would have been in grave danger as would have others around me - there would have been an accident with no way to avoid it. BMW is aware of their product failure and my question is who has to die before BMW steps up to the plate and accepts responsibility and recalls and repairs these vehicles? If you own a 5-7 year old BMW (maybe newer), its going to happen to you and I would appreciate your raising your voice to BMW before someone has to die to get BMWs attention.

I purchased a used 2005 BMW 525i almost two years ago and it had 52,000 miles on it. Thank goodness I decided to purchase an extended warranty through my lender because at 75,000 miles or so, my transmission started acting up. This vehicle has not been neglected and has been taken good care of. However, I had transmission fault messages on my computer, so I took it in. Turns out that my transmission needed to be replaced. After my $7,000 transmission was put in, I still had problems. They reprogrammed the vehicle to try and fix the problem, and Im still having problems. Its also really slow on take off and it shifts from 2nd to 3rd really hard. And when I slow down, it shifts really hard from 2nd to 1st. All in all, my warranty company has paid out over $10,000 in repairs over the past two years, almost half of what I paid for the vehicle. That is just ridiculous. Ive read so many peoples horror stories about their BMWs transmissions failing and I just wanted to share my story too. I know that BMW is not taking responsibility for any of their vehicles so I felt like I should share. The more people that come forward, the better. Maybe one day BMW will own up to producing some rotten transmissions in their vehicles. All I can say is thank goodness for warranties. But its not about that. Its about your car, your BMW that you love so much, being in service for a month, and having issue after issue. Its frustrating and BMW needs to to tighten up their products.

After reading through the majority of complaints here, Ive come to the conclusion that it is either the failure of the consumer to research the product carefully or expectations that are unrealistic and do not disclose the full story. For those that have had a bad sales experience, it is a failure of the dealership employing sales people that do not know their product and over promising and under delivering. If you buy a used car especially over 85k, as I read regarding the X5, expect it to have mechanical failures with some parts that require maintenance, i.e. cooling system parts such as t-stats and water pumps. Modern cars that are built by teams of suppliers are all prone to failures of suspension parts, bushings, window regulators, etc. and is an unfortunate result of the economies of building a car, any car. Buying a car because you thought it was prestigious, well, thats just an expectation residing in stupidity. BMW have never stated their x products are true off roaders (look at the wheels and tire profiles!). If you want that, buy a jeep or LandRover or LandCruiser. Navigation systems, blame the software guys (probably Navteq). They provide the disks for everyone in the industry. The car you purchased CPO was state of the art at the time and has evolved quite quickly. All of you expecting a car that is bare bones, be aware that most cars today have ecu/telematics units with more computing power than a Saturn V rocket (that took the Apollo astronauts to the moon). The trans guy? You needed a new clutch probably because you continued to drive the car after the trans light came on in which you probably needed a trans shift solenoid (approx $200). I am on my third car and have been fortunate to own many performance marques, all of which have had their share of issues. For the woman that claimed she was dismissed because car was out of warranty, what do you expect? What do you not understand? Out of warranty is out of warranty. You didnt complain if they fixed stuff at their cost within the warranty. Now, its your turn to incur cost. Cars arent cost free to maintain. You bought a car. A product. Thats it! You didnt do anything to qualify you for winning the Nobel prize so why should your expectation be that they fix your problem? Should they fix everyone elses car on the road thats out of warranty? For the guy with the motor mount issue, your car was probably in an accident. I have seen CPOD cars sold without disclosure of accidents by a major luxury japanese manufacturer and thats not the fault of the marque but the dealerships shoddy and shady selling practices. Conclusion, educate yourself if you buy anything. And stop with blame or false expectations that youre owed something. Car manufacturers step up to the plate to cover you either warranty or goodwill when analytics show there is a problem.

My car 2007 328 xi was broken for 3 weeks. I was initially told it was the bad AC compressor, and now, I was told that the AC compressor actually led to engine chain broken. The cost to fix it is more than $50K! Can anyone tell me why a bad AC can have such a huge impact? There are so many cars that can still drive with a broken air conditioner. What a stupid design! My car is only 46000 miles and just out of warranty! I called BMW NA custom relations, they told me they cannot offer any help. This will be my first and last BMW!

After receiving a recall letter from BMW for the brake vacuum pump (recall campaign no. 10v-446), I took the car to Crevier BMW but was told they didnt have the part. I never heard back from Crevier BMW, and I forgot about it until the brakes completely failed without warning. I had the car towed to the nearest dealer in Irvine. They replaced the vacuum supply line but not the vacuum pump. They recommended that I replace the leaking vacuum pump at my cost of over $900. The description of the problem included in the recall letter from BMW specifically indicates that the leak from the vacuum pump into the vacuum hose is the root of the problem. I spoke to Jody ** at BMW and she said that the recall is a federal mandate and this mandate only requires them to replace the line and not the pump.I have owned BMW cars for more than 12 years, you would think they would stand behind their product and keep a loyal customer happy. They truly do not care about the customer. They will only take care of the problem if the car is leased and/or under warranty, and even then, theyll put off the work until the car is out of warranty.I have had a new 750Li since 2006. From the beginning, the engine oil light would come on and I would have to take the car in to be topped off. I kept asking why I had to do this so often and they assured me that it was normal for the 750. I had a new 745 before this car and I never had this problem. I didnt worry about it since there was no sign of a leak on my garage floor. Now that the car is out of warranty, they tell me that there is a leak.

Im a BMW lover and now owner of a 328xi series. I wouldnt have ever thought that I would become a lover of BMW knowing my dream was to have a drop top four door Lexus. But once my husband brought me to your curious dealership to test drive one of your 3 series model, I was sold. The car drove like it knew me and the sales associate made my drive easier by informing me about the developed and smart function on the vehicle. I was impressed and sold. I went home cooking and buyer way into my husband heart to get that 328xi. I guess it worked because the next week I drove my new man home. I loved my car until after driving it for four months. I’ve been to the Oyster Bay Dealership three times due to the malfunction sign that continues to show up on my dash board. I drove around stopping female BMW owner wondering if the malfunction sign appears on their dash any time they place their bag down, and they informed me that it does occur. I was so disappointed to hear this. I went online and noticed that BMW is # 6, in the top driven car selected by woman at 60.31 percent. I was also shocked to see that too. I think BMW is a great car for woman considering its sex appeal and the smart and easy functions. But now I understand why this is true. The car insides arent accessible for woman. Women need car that is enjoyable on the inside. Many women also work, manage to take of our kids and would like to be sexy at the same time. Its very disappointing when you have everything you want except what you need. Women are go getter too and we are growing every day. If you do a survey within your company and ask the men to ask their wifes where they place their hand bags, Im sure they would say on the front seat. Women have grown to be great consumers in the world now. We like to buy what we like. Studies show that one legacy of this recession is that women become a majority of the work force for the first time in American history. This information should give you more insight on how important it is to please a woman, will do whatever it take to feel complete and to be happy. Im writing to you today not only to complain, but to express the inconvenience it is for me to drive from Canarsie in Brooklyn to Oyster Bay, Long Island about 3 times out of four months to correct this malfunction issue. I continually think each time I get in the car, if something is wrong and is this car safe to drive God forbids if an accident occurs. Im very understanding the first time but the third time, I was in tears because I started to believe I received a used car, not an off the showroom car. Please believe that it wasnt easy for me to write this letter because Im a woman of patience. But it’s not easy for a married woman with children that has three jobs then have to drop what Im doing or take off from work to drive nearly an hour away just to get this problem fixed. I understand that your job is to deliver a car that make sense, drive smoothly, have a sleet look, economy friendly and safe. I must say BMW has all of those qualities except the nice accessory for a womans hand bag, preferably a hook on the side that slide in or out that we can place our hand bags. I believe this will bring your company in first place on the charts where it belongs and make us women a little happier. Thank you.

Purchased a 2006 750li with 36k miles. Had it 8 months so far, in what I thought was good condition only to find out that its riddled with problems and manufacturer defects. First, key fob went dead, required car to be towed to the dealer losing a week of use and $1500. Two months later, the water pump went out and was informed that the vacuum pump was leaking oil. The control arm bushings were bad and the power brake was leaking as well. $9500 later everything was supposed to be fixed, a week into the repair the restraint system developed a fault. Reading online, it seems not only that BMW is aware of the problem but recalled the power brake issue and the restraint system issue, however, when calling BMW of Dallas, I was informed they could not cover the repairs. When I mentioned previous repairs they said these are normal wear items. Since when do all the control arm bushings, vacuum pump and water pump go out at 40k miles. I paid a lot of money for this car and expect BMW to honor their vehicles problems instead of pointing fingers and trying to put blame elsewhere. I am being quoted $2200 for a new seat belt module bringing my grand total repair bill to over $15000.00 for a car thats worth $30k. I understand normal wear and maintenance but the repairs in question should not be considered wear and tear at this stage or mileage in the vehicles run.

I got scammed by BMW. I entered into a 2-year lease in 2016. Few months before the lease ends, I purchased additional miles. I was told that any unused miles will be refunded. I returned my car yesterday and guess what, they refused to refund my unused miles. However, they found my left rear tire was a little bit more used than the other ones and they charged me $300. Plus the extra $350 fee to close the lease...Not only that but last year, I was in Europe for a month or so and totally forgot to pay my monthly charge, was 30 days late and paid as soon as I came back to the US and opened my mail. That was the only late payment I had during my entire lease. Well guess what, BMW reported it right away and my credit score got impacted so bad it prevented me to purchase a house. I wrote a letter to try to solve this issue, they ignored it. BUT the sales team kept harassing me to try to sell me a new lease... Yeah, you guys can keep trying. I dont want to deal with BMW EVER again!

On 04/28/12 I purchased a 2012 528i BMW. On 07/01/13 I noticed the A/C was having trouble. The AC kept blowing high, then low, like it was wheezing! I turned it off, then back on and it was ok! The next day I did not drive my car. On 07/03/13 at approximately 6pm the AC stopped working completely. BMW service dept. was closed and the next day was 4th of July. On Friday 07/05/13, at approximately 7am, I took my car to BMW service dept. At approximately 430pm, I get a call saying a part (Blower Regulator) in the AC blew/shorted out, they could not get the part until Monday and I could keep my loaner car until Monday. On Monday 07/08/13 at approximately 230pm, I get a call saying my car was ready and I can pick it up! Note they also serviced my car. When I received my car I noticed they had the AC blowing full blast, set on Max 60 degrees, blower on Max and noisy! The outside heat was in the hundreds so I thought they had it up because the car had been sitting and they wanted it cool when I got in the car. But I notice after driving about 10 or 15 minutes and stopping at stop lights I was sweating, my forehead was burning and something was not right. The AC was not fixed properly or they put in another Faulty Blower Regulator! This was my second Bakersfield Summer driving my BMW. The heat can get as high as 110 degrees and I never had to keep my car AC set on MAX any/everything. I always kept it set on 71 to 75 degrees, with blower on medium, this was very comfortable! I am anemic and get cold very easily! Now at my normal setting I am burning up and sweating, the air blowing out of the AC does not reach me which tells me the New Blower Regulator is not working properly or they put in a used faulty one. I am riding in a $57,000.00 car and sweating like a pig! My friends and family rode with me this past weekend and were complaining they were burning up, had to keep AC on MAX which burns a lot more gas! I took my car back to BMW on 07/11/13 to have them fix it correctly. At the end of the day I get call from BMW service dept. basically saying there is nothing is wrong with my AC! The Rep and I were sitting in my car talking about the issues with the AC, the AC was MAX, the BMW service Rep is sitting there wiping sweat off his forehead looking stunned, he is trying to tell the AC inside the unit is putting out 40 degrees air (per their gauge), yet after 15 minute of talking the Car cabin is 80 degrees! He could not explain it and went to get the service dept. manager! Manager did everything the Rep did, even went to get a new 528i to show that AC is normal. My car is not Normal! I am still burning up and sweating especially at stop lights/signs, people in back seat is burning up, the air is not reaching them! The Manager keeps saying he can not fix what is not broken! The Manager refused fix the problem correctly! The Manager stated several time I cant fix what is not broken! It is obvious the New blower Regulator is faulty, its not blowing the air out enough to reach me! I just want my AC to work correctly like the day I bought this $57,000.00 Car! Put in a Brand New Blower Regulator!

From GM to used car manager have been unable to get an honest answer when looking at a used M5 with 14k. Checking the carfax car was sold as a CPO elite. First I called the dealership to confirm with service. When a service advisor answered she told me when I gave her the VIN # that this car was NOT in their system. Not in their system, it is on their lot!! Then was told when asked the salesperson that the car was NOT CPO. I decided to call an independent BMW service tech. BMW warranty info is nationwide. He was extremely helpful once I have him the last 7 numbers. He told me it is a CPO car and goes with the car, just purchased less than 4 months ago. After reading all the negative reviews of BMW customer service think I might pass on buying my first BMW. Especially since my local BMW dealership does not seem to know what they have on their lot.

I own a 2008 335i with 50k miles. I was alerted via the mail that there was an airbag recall. When I called the 800 number and gave them my VIN I was then told it had 3 recalls. I called the closest BMW dealer to schedule repair. I was told they could not give me a loaner car even though I am an hour away and the three recalls would take all day. Upon arriving at the dealer with my wife following me in another vehicle I observed customer after customer receiving loaner vehicles for only routine service. The recalls werent my fault, BMW offered no help at their 800 number. This will be the last BMW I ever own. I own or have owned Mercedes, Porsche, Ford and GM. In this day and age vehicles have issues I understand that but BMW should have stepped to the plate and at least offered a loaner for a 7 hour repair. They did not...This review may not mean much or my one wallet may not mean much to them but they will not receive any more of my hard earned money....

Several months ago BMW sent me a letter to bring my car in to be service for a recalls and/or updates. They returned my car stating they would contact me later to finish the job after a part they needed came in. A few months later they called me to bring my car back in. A week later, I received a call from a service department person saying they broke the engine coil off my car and will have to take the whole engine out now. Im nervous because my car was driving fine before I got the letter and the call to bring my car back in to BMW. The guy who kept communicating with me said hes going on vacation for a week but someone else he named would be taking care of things. No one contacted me about my car. When he returned from vacation he called. He said he was back and they are waiting on a part and when it come in they will pull my engine out.I asked, Will it driving like it was when I bought it in? He replied, It should be better. Im knowing, nothing was wrong with my car. I didnt even know why or what needed updating. He said the mechanic is going on vacation now for a week. A week later he called saying, Im just calling to keep you informed and we have another car engine on the table right now and as soon as we finish with it, were going to put yours on it. My husband is in from Florida and hes asking me how do a car going in for updates end up having the engine pulled out of it? He following up saying, Once they pull your engine it will never drive the same again. Another friend whom is a Director at a college stated they would have to give me a warranty stating if anything happens to my engine they will fix it no matter what the problem is or give me a new car. Im more scared and upset. The following week the service person call me again on Friday saying, Well we finally got your car in and getting ready to work on it and you should have it back by Tuesday or Wednesday. So far they have had my car a month so I drove to BMW when they were closed on that Sunday and across the street from them sit my car with a small plate hanging off the front of it by a wire and parked crooked. Now, Im upset and all trust of the one keeping me informed is all out the window. I called and left him a message about me seeing my car on the other lot. He called back saying they are working on it now and it should be ready by the end of the day. I said to him, Im concerned about my car sitting for weeks and whether it will run right. He told me they ensure whatever parts they put on it for two years. I didnt feel that was good enough.I got a call from him later saying, Your car is ready but in all honesty I just dont feel right giving you back your car without the mechanic driving it for the whole weekend and hes getting ready to put some miles on your car. I said, Well have him drive it on the highway to make sure its driving ok and he said he will. Maybe the mechanic is driving it out of town for the 4th of July.My car is a fully loaded pearl color 750Li xDrive Super Sport Twin Turbo Engine, which I made a payment on in June as it sat on BMW lot due to their mistake. They tried to put me in a 3-Series. I wouldnt take it so they put me in a 5-Series with Sam Swope courtesy vehicle in big bold letters across the back window and had me return it because they sold it, they said. I had it for over three weeks. They put me in a black 5-Series afterwards that is more up to date and I still have it. Basically, BMW has had my car for about 6 weeks and the mechanic still have it at his house right now somewhere.

I purchased a 2013 X5 on 5/22/13 and it has been in the car shop over 2.5 months. I am beyond frustrated in dealing with the dealership and BMW North America. Ive gone in for rattling noises that took them 2 times to fix and now my module that holds the lights, Bluetooth, SOS button, etc. will not work. This is the 3rd time in the shop for the module issue, BMW has switched out the module twice, and has rewired it twice but they still do now know what is causing the issue. They have had expert technicians that came out and conference Germany but no one knows why it sometimes work and sometimes doesnt work. All I am asking for is for BMW to give me a fair trade for the car but they are not willing to so. The reason being that this is not a safety issue. How do I know it wont be a safety issue in the long run?

This has been the worst car I ever purchased (2000 BMW 323ci). The water pump has been replaced three times in five years. This is so unacceptable for a so-called “world-class” automobile. Every imaginable problem that could go wrong with this car, I have experienced… of course the standard… brake pads, clutch, hoses, etc. Those things are to be expected after a certain length of time. However, the same part ... You asked yourself, “Is it the mechanic? Was it the part?” Well, on 2 occasions, repairs were BMW authorized. Three were actual BMW dealerships. This car has cost me more than my sons college education, however, to BMW North Americas credit. I had a lovely lady named Medidah to help me with my sensor board. I had to pay labor which was ok; at least, someone cared and assisted. I wish I could afford another car, which I cant unfortunately. This car is paid off. My first new car (ever) I purchased. I was so happy to save money. I ordered exactly what I wanted. I paid it off in 3 years. Next car will be my Honda or Toyota, which I have owned previously. Both were great, inexpensive to maintain, and lasted long time. I shall never, ever purchase another BMW, even if I do love the x5 :(

Dealer said, “Dont worry you had all service required done, should be no problem.” After holding bike 2 and a half weeks, “Oh sorry too far out of warranty.” Dealer gives used drive 1600 dollars, no warranty. This is a normal BMW consumer experience. I leased a 2014 528i about a year ago. The dealer (Vista BMW) claimed my deal was below wholesale... 50k for a sticker price of 56k. They run hard and if a flat BMW wants you to REPLACE it at your expense (about $350. Or more.) I took the car to CARMAX two months after I got it. It had 1600 miles and was perfect. Im a repeat owner of convertibles and on cooler days it is VERY common to place the heater on high when the top is down. I purchased a 2011 BMW 128i convertible with 30k miles in April 2014 and immediately discovered that when the heater was on very high or high for a period the radio will shut down and refuse to work. After an attempt (not knowing what that attempt was) to fix this car the dealer and BMW complaint division refuses to fix it or admit to a design FLAW. Has anyone else experienced this problem. My ADVICE to anyone thinking of buying a BMW convertible - check this out closely or shy away. They will not attempt to fix it nor admit it is a Design FLAW. It is REALLY inconvenient to drive in the cooler weather. Once the radio shuts down the heater must be turned off and returned to cool to continue listening to the radio. Never had this problem with any other convertibles. I will be selling this car!
