I was extremely disappointed and furious with the service the guys at BMW of Dallas provided. This is not something you expect from a luxury car dealership. It was utterly unprofessional and zero consideration for a customer’s inconvenience and situation. My car was towed in Monday morning at 10am from work and I was being handled by a service adviser Andrew ** reporting to service manager Ricardo **. He was probably the worst guy in terms of communication. I don’t expect them to keep me updated on my cars status every few minutes but at least 1 phone call/email or text in this day and age to let me know an ETA so I could plan my ride back home from work. I usually take my car to another BMW dealership in Plano, TX Classic BMW and they are very professional. Being a BMW dealership, I expected a similar professionalism and style of communicating with their customers.I finally get a call from Andrew (this was after my multiple calls, voicemails to find out if the car had made it to the shop or not since I didn’t ride along with the tow truck) to let me know at around noon that they had received the car and will let me know what the charges maybe before they work on it. Again, no update until 4:15pm and that was again after me following up multiple times trying to find out an ETA so I could plan on my ride back home and pick up kids from after school care. I talk to him and he said he was unable to replicate the issue and thus they couldn’t fix the issue. My bill was about $300 for diagnostic fees. At that point I was furious as after all that lack of communication, he had the temperament to let me know that there was an outstanding bill.I let him know that I was very disappointed and upset with his way of communication and all he had to say was they were extremely busy and I was not their only customer. This was the last thing I expected to hear from a luxury dealership like BMW. I asked him I wanted to talk to his manager, Ricardo ** who was obviously not available to talk to me that time. Ricardo (also goes by Ricky) calls me at 7pm Monday evening to apologize and say that he expects his staff to at least communicate with their customers and let them know what the status may be. I told him I would be over tomorrow (Tuesday) to pick up the car.Tuesday a.m. (day 2) when I called them to notify that I was going to need a shuttle pick up from my work (which is about 8 mi. 15 min drive), Carlos at their shuttle desk told me he would have someone at 3pm to pick me up. I wrapped up my meeting and was waiting outside for my ride. I call them at 3:20 p.m. to check on the status and talk to Carlos after multiple transfers on their phone and long holds, he tells me that the shuttle is picking up other customers and will come get me in next 10-15 mins. At that point, it would have been 3:45 p.m. I finally get tired of waiting and get a ride to the dealership. We reach there at about 4:15 and I called Carlos again to check on the shuttle status out of curiosity and he tells me the guy should be there in another 15 mins?? At that time, it would have been maybe 4:30 p.m. or more. There was no apology or remorse from Carlos either at that point. So basically they didn’t care or feel bad keeping their customers stranded for over 1.5 hours. Again no communication whatsoever to let me know what the status of the shuttle was or any type of intention to remediate the problem. I met Ricardo finally in person and told him how upset I was. He said he had talked to Andrew about his lack of communication but I really doubt if he had taken any action. It is Wednesday afternoon and I yet have not heard anything back from Andrew ** in terms of any voicemail or emails? When I left, I had a letter attached to my receipt that asked to provide a customer feedback from their client experience manager Erika **. I left her a detailed voice message yesterday about my experience on my way back home, but another example where the manager has not gotten back to me at all.I feel the issue seems to be with the team there where they don’t think their customers need to be treated with utmost priority and professionalism. Especially when there has been so much of an inconvenience and hassle for someone, there was no effort on their part to get back and try to make amends. This was one of the worst experience having to deal with a dealership in terms of communication and way they treat their customers. VERY DISAPPOINTED. NOT RECOMMENDING TO ANYONE IN THE FUTURE TO USE THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT.

I recently visited the BMW service center in about my 2007 BMW 525i, 58K old car. It stalled on the road with a huge cloud of smoke behind the car on the coldest day of the winter and I had to tow the vehicle to the service center. I did not get an appointment initially. I was told it would take at least couple of days to see the vehicle. I had no choice but leaving the vehicle at the service center. It took 10 days to get my vehicle back. I did not get the vehicle completely fixed and problem free. Nobody trust the owner of the car when I said I never found a single problem till it was stalled on the road.I was charged $2k initially. When I asked for the bad spark plugs which were replaced as part of the process, I was told they were disposed, then the representative went inside and found unused parts lying around the car and reduced that part price from the $2k he initially charged and gave me a new receipt. If I had not asked for spark plugs, I would have paid $2k and returned losing my money for the unused parts brought as part of my invoice. I am not confident if they have really replaced the parts that they are saying they did as part of the service contract. Now my car makes a chopper sound. It rattles like a old car out from the junk yard. The service manager says it could have existed before and it is continuing which is not true as nobody trust the car owner. The service guy told me that my engine is hydro locked and says that he never saw such problem in his entire experience and says that he do not know how to fix this. I am left to live with the problem. I smell the burnt odor when I drive. I do not know if it is a major problem or not. I was told if I drive the car for 1000 miles, the burnt smell will go away. One more surprising thing is, I was told they removed the entire engine oil from the engine. When they did that, is it not their responsibility to fill it back to normal level? They did not do it and told me I have to drive at least 1000 miles do get rid of the burnt smell and delivered the car. I took the car home, before I reached home it threw an error message saying the Engine Oil Levels are below minimum. What kind of service is that? Do they want to ruin my car and make me buy a new one or leave the car for more repairs and get looted? When I contacted the service center about the Engine Oil Levels, service manager asks me to come down to top off with one quart of oil. I asked him how can they deliver the car with engine oils at so minimum levels after service? I got no satisfactory answer. I have to leave the car for half day at the service center requesting (begging would be a right word here) to service my car paying $120+ more.I have no peace of mind with the car. All these problems clearly state that if you are out of warranty, just sell the car and get rid of the hassles. 58k on my car shows that it is still a baby. But the problems on the car are very scary. It is just the appearance and from inside BMW is the most problematic car I have ever experienced. I have to always worry about the battery draining because of the continuous checking of computers. The display throws all sorts of problems. Some times it stops working. Display is not a wear out part so early. Why should a customer worry about the car all the time? I have gone thru the forums. A lot of problems with 525 series. Why dont you guys recall and fix the problems? Why should the customer suffer so much paying for all the hot fixes you forgot in the first place while releasing the model? I am a very good driver and I maintain the cars very perfectly servicing them every 5k miles and taking good care. I have a Honda Odyssey 2007 model. Hassle free, not a single problem till now. Cars should be like that, hassle free. BMW is proving that luxury is a pain and a hole in customer pocket. If BMW is trustworthy as it claims, then please fix my car with no additional costs, as you did not fix the problem in the first case, despite charging me so much money and time. I hope someone will respond positively to this painful email. If not I will definitely will not buy a BMW in my life again and would not recommend to anyone. It is really painful knowing that BMW is so poorly serving customers not fixing the cars problems properly and driving customers to buy new cars.

Problem 1: Transfer case have been replace several times and Im still having problems with this high price Junk. Problem 2: About 6 months ago the car started sputtering when you accelerate. I found online that you can take your BMW 2011 750LI xdrive in for a customer care package (They did not call it a recall but a customer care package). I thought this would correct the problems because they replace some sensors and vacuum hose but the problem is still there. BMW did a full diagnostic and said Remove and replace all injectors (x8), ignition coils (x8), and spark plugs (x8). (During the inspection found the vehicle misfiring). Final cost will run $6777.00. My warranty company will refuse to pay because they wanted to know what would you replace all 8 injectors and all of the other parts because all 8 injectors cant be bad. The warranty company think BMW know they have a faulted Injection systems and trying to upgrade and correct the problem at the customer expense. The car burn major oil, BMW claim this is normal. I will get a second opinion. This is the worst car I have ever own and when you spend a 100,000 on a car you expect to drive it more then 4 years without all of the problems these car has cost us. I thought BMW quality meant something. I will never, never buy another BMW in Life.Problem 3: Car have 114k now they are telling me the Transmission needs to be replace. This car have been a nightmare from hell. BMW NEED TO BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES FOR PUTTING OUT SUCH horrible quality. YOU HAVE LOST US FOR LIFE. Now when I see a BMW commercial I laugh. They are truly the new Ford in the world of Automobiles.

I have a 2007 BMW 328xi that I have been having gear, transmission and electrical, air conditioning issues. The car shuts off, stalls and shuts off, air conditioner doesnt work, alert lights on dashboard light up and now gears arent shifting and car cannot move into drive, reverse, neutral and park. So now I have no car. BMW has just given me the run around not addressing the problems finding other issues just to cover and hide their blatant disregard of the 3 series issues. I saw that there are many complaints and the there is a place to officially file a complaint to NHTA 888-327-4236. Please file a complaint if you’re experiencing any issues. BMW cant continue to ignore the issues and try to hide all complaints like they dont exist! And someone gets killed. Please FB or Twitter to get the word out!

This vehicle really is the ultimate driving machine for its segment. What it lacks in luxury it more than makes up for in performance. I only gave it 4/5 stars because I favor comfort over performance of which BMW prioritizes oppositionelle of me. Only complaint is that AppleCarPlay is subscription only as of today. Hyundai includes it standard.....not a good look.

My 2017 330e has less than 6000 miles and broke down while I was out of state on vacation. Needless to say it ruined my vacation having to spend my time dealing with BMW and leaving it in CA while I had to rent a car to get back to NV. 2 weeks in the shop and no loaner car given. BMW offers a reunite program but only 250 miles or under warranty repairs. I call BS! They want to charge me the difference in mileage for the return of my vehicle which is $250. For the amount of money I pay to have this luxury vehicle they can’t get it back to me? I had to get a rental car to get home, now I have to buy a plane ticket to go get it and drive it back? No one will help me and I can’t even get through to customer service. I will never purchase another BMW again. I’m going back to Toyota. They treat you a whole lot better.

I have a BMW 435i and just had to put it in the shop for drivetrain/engine malfunction for the 2nd time. This will, no doubt, be another $2k. BMWs are by far the most overrated, unreliable cars in the world. I am selling it as soon as it is fixed and getting a Toyota Tacoma. Cant wait to get a reliable car/brand.

I bought their product and have had a very big problem with the jack lift that they provided me with to change the tires on the car. This jack is very insufficient, the reason being that when I jacked up the car to change a tire on it, the jack collapsed and let the car fall without the tire on the axle. This has happened twice already one time the jack collapsed and the car smashed my wrist and severely hurt it. Furthermore, since the jack collapsed, it wedged beneath the car and scratched up the bottom of the vehicle. I feel that this is very unacceptable since BMW is supposed to be a quality car. I hope the company gives this complaint notice and strives to improve the quality of the jack that is provided with the car. I can no longer use the jack they have provided me with because I do not want to risk further damage to both myself and my vehicle. I hope you consider sending me a new one. Thank you very much for your time.

I own a 650I, bought it from BMW dealer, always had it serviced by BMW dealer. At around 80,000 miles after having repeated problems with transmission, I was told I needed a new transmission and it was not covered by warranty. Also was told I need engine rebuilt! And also out of warranty! This car cost over $100,000, what type of valve stem guides do they use that they wear out at such low miles, not to mention a transmission, both items last longer on a $30,000 Honda... How pathetic!I spoke with BMW North America. They refused to warranty the defective items, and if one would check the new engines in BMWs, they would find most are burning oil very prematurely because the new engine design is built with sub par parts... This is a car costing over $100,000.00. I am disgusted with this horrible excuse of a luxury vehicle and more so the haughty attitude of BMW. One more thing, the dealer I was using Checkered Flag is horrible. They returned my car after a service, 4 quarts low on oil. When I called them, they said the oil sensor was faulty, when actually it was their lazy and inept service approach. I have engaged the services of a lawyer on this one!

BMW has made a nasty turn for the worse. I am a loyal customer over a decade and have purchased 6 BMWs for me and my family to enjoy over the years. I am on my 6th BMW which happened to be a CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED BMW. The last 5 were purchased New and after the CPO experience being described to me by a sales associate, I determined to purchase a CPO BMW instead of new. What a mistake! The car was visually perfect and mechanically appeared fine on the test drive before purchase, but there were a plethora of engine and transmission issues the week after purchase. With less than 30,000 miles, I had no idea what I was getting into with this plagued car, not to mention all the interior cracks and creaking and the deferred maintenance that no one paid any attention to on the vehicle.I asked BMW North America for compensation for my time spent, almost 20 hours of driving, waiting, telephone calls, troubleshooting, exchanging rental cars, paying for rental cars, etc. and after 3 weeks they called me back stating that they will not honor any compensation. Disgusting. This will be my last BMW, and I will be sure to share this experience with my circle of car enthusiasts.

BMW K1200r motorcycle - I bought the bike new in 2006; it now has 5000 miles on it and the transmission is shot. After being told by the dealer it will cost $6,000 to repair and BMW has a known issue with this transmission to the extent that they totally redesigned a new transmission that my existing clutch and associated parts will not be compatible with, they will not do anything towards customer goodwill even though they have known of this problem and never sent a notice while it was in warranty to get it checked out. I guess its true that BMW is an acronym for Bring My Wallet. This will be the last BMW anything I ever own. Such poor customer service!

I just want to let you know that BMW engineers seem to do a pretty good job mechanically with design, but they are terrible at designing electrical systems. Between my two Z3s, one is the M-series, I now had to replace the ** drivers harness five times! The airbag system design is horrific and I am sick of hassling with this. Terrible. BMW should have recalled all of their affected cars. I will never buy BMW again! Look up BMW airbag light on Google! A lot of people have had this problem. A lot.

I purchased brand new 2011 BMW 128i which they no longer make for the price you are only paying for the name not the quality of a good car. I had issue from the start with the front end still never figured out what the noise was coming from. I now have 75,000 miles on it in the garage every night regular maintenance and this year alone problem after problem - Oil pan gasket leak $842+, Valve cover gasket leak $802+. Blower and wires fried replaced $750+, Gasket on the housing for oil filter $800+, Front struts $1450+. These prices are from the dealer that I purchased the car from brand new at @35k - nice loyalty to repeat customers, time to go back to a Honda and not Keeler.

I have had my 2011 528I since 09-02-11. Its a great car. BMW advertises that the only thing you have to pay for is tires and gas. I complained about the $1900 NAV system, and that it was not very user friendly, and that my $200 Magellan was a much better device. I had gone to the dealer, asking for a software upgrade, as the device had trouble finding known businesses that I attempted to locate as a test of the system. I was told that it would cost me $400 for an upgrade (which they recommend 4 times a year). I can buy 2 Magellans with free lifetime upgrades for that price. When I complained to BMW USA, they told me they had no control over local dealers, and they could charge any price they wanted. So much for the Tires & Gas.

I purchased a pre-owned 2008 BMW 750IL with about 50,000 miles. I drove it to 92,000 miles before I had to trade it in. I have purchased three BMWs and have had serious service issues with the last two. The specific problem I have had with the last one related to the cars inability to start. I had to have it towed into the dealership 4 times when it would not start. In each case the dealer thought they solved the problem but had not. I paid $1,800 to have it fixed but without success. The dealer returned my money because they told me that even though they got the car running, they could not guarantee that it was fixed. This was a problem in the engine computer. Since the car was unpredictable to start, I had to trade it in on a new car, an Infiniti.I will never buy a BMW again. What is so frustrating about this situation is that I intended to keep this car for another 50,000 miles and the engine, if it started, certainly could easily deliver these miles. This situation forced me to invest +$50,000 that I had never budgeted for. I could not have a car that I did not know from one day to the next if it would start. When you pay this amount for a luxury car, you should not have to be stressed out about its ability to start. And for the dealership not to be able to fix and ask me to go away is quite a disappointment! I will be sure to tell hundreds of people over time my story and to recommend they never buy a BMW!!!

I have been in contact with Tom ** BMW, Jacksonville, FL and there is a 280$ charge for the water test, plus the cost of repair, and I have to have my windshield replaced because the stripping is coming apart. I am appalled that I have had so many issues with this vehicle (2012 BMW 335i). When I purchased this car, my thinking was that I was receiving a premium vehicle; it is far from that. While headed to vacation from New Jersey to Canada, our BMW 328i xDrive beg
While headed to vacation from New Jersey to Canada, our BMW 328i xDrive began to experience a tapping sound from the engine and shortly thereafter, the check engine light lit up, at which point we used the BMW Assist feature for advice and to locate the nearest BMW Dealer. Explaining our situation to the BMW Representative, we asked for the nearest BMW dealer. Unfortunately they were over a hundred miles away, but the BMW representative informed us that we could continue to drive the vehicle with the service engine light on indefinitely as long as it wasnt red or flashing. We thanked her and proceeded on our journey. A couple of hours later, the tapping turned into a knocking sound and we again used the BMW Assist feature who located a dealer in Rochester, NY. She proceeded to place a 3-way call and remained in the background to listen. We were informed from the dealer that they could not get us in, but he reiterated that we could continue to drive the vehicle with the service engine light on indefinitely as long as it wasnt red or flashing. We continued into Canada, checked into a hotel, and parked the car for the night, searching the internet to locate the closest dealer which turned out to be Performance BMW in St. Catherines Ontario. We brought the car to Performance BMW in St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada in the hopes that they could have a look to diagnose the problem.Tanya ** was very understanding and sympathetic to our situation and she got our car right into a bay for diagnosis. We sat patiently for almost 2 hours until we were informed that it is taking longer to figure out the problem, and that BMW uses Enterprise Rental rather than loaner BMWs and we were put into a Hyundai Sonata, which is NOWHERE near a comparable vehicle to what I have purchased. After returning to the dealer to get the remainder of our luggage, Tanya informed us that as soon as they have a diagnosis, they would contact us.We returned to the dealer the following day hoping to get the car, and continue our vacation to New Hampshire, when we were informed that the main bearing of the crankshaft was the problem, and that the parts have to be ordered from Germany, which would take anywhere from 3-6 weeks plus the time needed to put everything back together. We were advised that Performance BMW could only cover the rental for the end of the day (second day) and that we would have to cover the remaining rental time, and then submit our expenses as part of the trip interruption clause, but there is no guarantee that it will be reimbursed. We have made several attempts to contact BMW North America. All we have been told is that until we have our vehicle back & submit our expenses, BMW North America will take the expenses under consideration for reimbursement. This is unacceptable.BMW of Mt. Laurel (purchasing dealer), indicated that if we had brought our car there for repairs, we would have received a loaner car until our vehicle was complete; and Performance BMW indicated that if we had purchased the vehicle in Canada, and brought it there for repairs, we would have received a loaner car until our vehicle was complete; but since a foreign dealer is working on a foreign car, neither dealer wants to cover the cost of the BMW loaner vehicle that we are entitled to let alone figure how to get it back to us.Once the car has been repaired and everything is in working order, we now have a new problem. We already took our vacation, now we have to take time off work to get our vehicle that failed. In addition, we now have a new car that had to have its engine rebuilt with less than 30,000 miles...not only will it affect our comfort level in this vehicle (do we take it on a trip, will it break down, what will it cost, etc.) but now we feel that this will affect the trade-in value of the car. I have spoken w/ several service advisers and sales personnel all said that this engine issue is not at all common, and the work will not affect the value of the car. However, I do not believe that is an accurate statement. There has to be something that can/will be done by BMW to correct this issue. At this point, I feel that BMW should replace the vehicle w/ a comparable BMW. If your resolve of this matter is not to our satisfaction, we will have no other choice but to leave the BMW and purchase a better quality luxury vehicle.

I had BMW secure and Navnit replaced the glass and charged me Rs 1500 but I lost no claims bonus plus the headache of traveling from Bhiwandi to Andheri to and fro and wasting my entire day, money and petrol. After that, both the 2 rear windows were not working and I sent the car to Navnit service station and it was stated that the motors need to be changed as they were defective, and the motors were replaced and its working okay now. I dont understand why the motors should break down so easily. This is obviously the case of substandard motors used. Now again the glass has broken on 19th March 2013,while cleaning the car at the same point as last time on passenger side. This is definitely a manufacturing defect. The toughened glass has to take a lot of abuse. Why should it break like this? It cannot even take the load of its own wiper. In discussions spanning almost 2 hours with Prakash **, I came to realize that both the left and right side wipers were different with different curvatures. Prakash stated that maybe a stone or flying object had hit the glass. I physically removed the wiper blade from its attachment and we checked that the lower part fitted on the car was touching the glass, where the crack had started. So we both arrived to the conclusion that the windshield was broken due to the wiper falling on the glass on the passenger side. Further, I let the wiper slip from my hands with its maximum inherent force to touch the glass at least 15 times on the drivers side but nothing happened to the glass. Why should it break the glass not once but twice on the same side and at the same point? A car of this quality is supposed to handle a lot of abuse and XI cannot even take the pressure of its own wiper which is absolutely ridiculous, obviously a drop test with several thousand times drop of the wiper on the windshield which ensures unbreakability by its own wiper is not taken or maybe the curvature of the wiper is such that it breaks the glass or maybe the padding is inadequate but I feel absolutely cheated by buying such a substandard productI am just too scared to even get my car washed or even take it out, for anyone on the street can just accidentally take the wiper up and put it down on the wind shield and the glass breaks again. When I called about the basic charge which was Rs 1500, I was told by Sameera that the charges are Rs 2500 and I would have to pay a couple of thousand more for rubber charges, and when I spoke to Miss ** in Service, I was told that Rs 1500 only need to be paid and not Rs 2500 as my insurance was done in March12 and the charges were hiked from April 2012. I am shocked that anything is quoted just to milk the customer more and there is no fixed policy of Navnit.Further, I had gone to the service station and met the head, Mr. Ravi **, and he was abrupt to the point of rudeness and he was just saying he had a meeting at 12:30 and had to leave and when I told him about the glass breaking twice on the same side and motors failing in almost a brand new car as it is driven less than 3000 km., he just said, It happens, and gave vague reasoning that electronic components like motors can fail without any rhyme or reason. I was zapped by his answer. Now these are high quality geared motors and the test method involves thousands of times to do up and down and 2 motors failing at the same time is not a coincidence and that, too, when we have hardly used the car and in less than a yearFor the record, I would like to state that my son or I personally drive the BMW and we dont let our driver touch the car and even the inside cleaning is done under my sons supervision as we dont hand over the keys to anyone excluding my son and myself. We treat it like a baby. I have been dealing with BMW such as Suchita/Pritesh/Kuber/ ameera,/Ashwini /Prakash (service), Miss **(service)/ Ravi (Service ) but none of them have even bothered to call back or answer my grievance. What precaution has been taken that the glass does not break yet again? I am thoroughly disgusted with the car and specially the attitude of the dealer and its staff. We bought the BMW x1 thinking that we would have a superior quality product but even a Nano costing 1/12 the price we paid would have been better. In my 33 years of driving spanning at least 30-32 different varieties and makes of cars, no glass has broken like this, not even once (wiper touching the glass) or motors damaged within 9 months of use and that too not once but twice, I would take this up on public forum and I am going to put this on all websites of manufacturers of BMWs rivals so that maximum people are aware of this if my concerns are not addressed as it is a clear case of selling me a substandard product and cheating.

I have had my X5 for over 2 years now, I bought it brand new from passport BMW in MD. I have had issues for about 2 years now with the camera. At one time it just would be blurry then it went dark. I took it to the dealer, they said they had replaced it but no sooner it started acting up again, sometime when I would have the car in drive it would attempt to come on. (I was told when I called that it was the hot weather that was affecting the camera operation). I called BMW corporate, someone called back a couple of times but was never able to get the dealership to resolve this issues as he had promised. I am so disappointed in this car vis a vis the monthly car payment I keep making.

My wife and I have 2 vehicles. A 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander with 130k miles and a 2007 Ford Edge with 128k miles. We decided to buy a certified pre-owned 2010 BMW X5 with 64k miles on it in March of 2016. Over the last 9 months, we have only put 6k miles on this vehicle and it has been serviced numerous times. We bought an Elite Plus, 2 year warranty. When we do drive this car, we baby it. This past week, we backed it out of the garage and instantly heard the engine fan going at max speed. About a mile later, warning messages came on to drive the car moderately and then to pull over and turn it off. Said the engine temperature was too high. We had it towed into BMW and after reading BMW forums, the exact same problem had happened to many X5 owners. The fix was nearly all the same: Failed electric water pump requiring replacement along with thermostat. Most people had their vehicles fixed for $1400 or less. Local BMW dealer said we not only need to replace the water pump and thermostat, but also coolant hoses, need a coolant flush and the reservoir replaced. $3500 in cost. My warranty is only good for $800 contribution to this problem. I was amazed at the vast number of BMW owners reporting on this problem at 60-70k miles for the exact same issue. One would think there would be a recall on this, but no. I bought a BMW for the Ultimate Driving Machine experience and had heard of its reputation as a reliable vehicle. 2016 has been a disaster for this vehicle and I am not only disenchanted with the need to replace the water pump and thermostat, but I also feel like the BMW dealer is trying to bilk me by replacing coolant hoses and the reservoir when I dont even have a leak problem.

My BMW 2006 325i with only just 50k plus miles now has a transmission overheat light warning. It was stuck in drive gear and forced into park. Next morning, it would not release into any gear. I read the manual and manually defeated the locking mechanism and drove to BMW dealer. The warranty ran out 11 days ago. Audi next time.

I purchased a new 2007 BMW 116i 5-door in June 2009. I am a good BMW owner with regular service, etc. I had no problems until March 2013. The oil light came on, smoke was coming out of the tail pipe upon turning car on, and the car also idles funny (jugging). The service technicians and manager have given many reasons. The car only has 34,000 km driven for just under 4 years. To date, the car is still giving me problems. The local BMW SAID they contacted BMW Corporation for goodwill and help, but to no avail... the car problems still persist. I just had regular car service. I do not drive the car so as not to aggravate the problem. I felt that I was spending $$$ for quality and good name. What do I do now??? Not sure! Are there any other BMW owners having this or similar problems? Any suggestions on what to do???

Started with bald tires (VERY BALD, bands showing) at 7K miles. Going through tires every 7K miles. Engine light issues - they blamed the diesel version of the vehicle. Was in the shop for over a month on and off for that issue. Now the car has 25K miles and both brakes needed replacing, front & back. Trunk lid issues, driving alone and light comes on. Light wont go out and lid wont close. What a disappointment.

$1200 seems to be the benchmark for service at BMW. Funny how another BMW owner in a conversation in the service department said the same. Im guessing this is the goal quota. It would be interesting to know how many others might coincidentally be sharing the same experience. Always friendly but always something else. Last visit I was told about an early oil leak that I would need to address probably on the next visit. Today was next visit and it was not mentioned. Quota was met with 800 dollar rear brakes and 425 spark plugs. This is the third visit in the last 12 months maybe and each 1200-1400. I wont be driving another BMW. Ive been driving Volvo for years – never treated me that way.

The BMW 300 is great for everyday driving. I love driving its 6 speed manual transmission! Its super fun to drive around town as well as long distances. The hands free features are also well designed. But, even though its a German car, its awful in the snow. We were very surprised by the poor handling in snowy conditions. We would not purchase this model again because of the climate we live in. It does not handle slick roads or snow well at all. Taking this into consideration, we might look at a different model. We really only bought it for the manual transmission.

I bought a 2008 528xi from Virginia. Drove 8 hours back to New York no problem. The next day drove the car, low coolant lights appear. I drove to the dealer; they bleed the car and put coolant in the system. Day 3 check engine light appears on the dash not on the computer screen. I brought it back to dealer to hear I need a new water pump and thermostat (-1465) later. Day 4 I received back the car drove around, while in idle the engine malfunction screens comes up and smoke... Smh! I brought the car back to dealer they say it’s an air bubble locked in. So they bleed the car and did a software update. Ok, I drove the car for the low coolant signal to come back on! I call they say top it off with tapped water. I said okay calmly. Went to class came back coolant all over the street!!! Smh Whats Next???

I purchased my 2012 BMW X5 last November with 18K miles and a factory warranty. I brought the car in for its first service (in June, the computer told me) and oil change and to fix the tire air sensor. After the oil change was completed and supposedly the air tire sensor was fixed, I was told to call the service rep if I had any more issues. Well within a few minutes of leaving the dealer, the light flashed on and off and has been doing this ever since. Well I took it in today for another schedule service apt. - rear brakes (the computer told me too) - and to again check out the tire air sensor. I was told this would take one or two hours, so I waited (I was told they were out of loaners). (Note: work is over an hour away and home is 1/2 hour away). After over 3 hours, I got the car back and was told that I would have to come back yet again to fix this complicated tire air sensor - a couple of days will be needed to troubleshoot this issue, which I dont really care that much about. Air sensors are problematic on a lot of cars. I got in my car and the car said service check (computer) in two thousand miles (about maybe 6 weeks for me). So back at the dealer soon.Well I regret buying a BMW. It is an excellent ride. I didnt realize I would be spending so much time at the dealer for service for a late model car with relatively low mileage. So not worth it unless you live within a few minutes of the dealer. And yes the dealer will give me a ride anywhere! I work for myself, so every hour I am sitting in the dealer is an hour I am not getting paid for. I wish BMW would take some consideration for our time and realize not all of us have time to visit the BMW service dept. every month. I hope to get rid of this vehicle soon. So now I have to bring the car back for the third time - for the same issue. Oh well thats what I get for buying a BMW.

Last year in July, I bought a BMW 116 with 5 doors for my wife. The purchasing office was Borusan Turkey - Borusan Istanbul Istinye Branch. However since that date, we visited at least 4 times same branch for same problem (now the problem appear again). Because we usually have problem with message, right tire low air pressure. Due to this message on car screen, my wife could not use properties on screen and could not use back camera while parking, which could cause an accident while parking. We bought a new car and trust to BMW but since we bought the car, we continue to go to service and could not get the proper answer and service solution up to now either from BMW Turkey nor from BMW Germany. From now on, we decide that this is a manufacturing defect so we need your help and assistance to solve the problem. THE LAST ANSWER from BMW Germany without solution!

I brought my car in for an issue dealing with the airbag light illuminated
I brought my car in for an issue dealing with the airbag light illuminated on my dashboard. After being given an appointment 3 weeks after I asked for one, I was told that it was a seat motor issue and that the car thinks there is a passenger in the seat and will activate even if none is sitting there in an accident. The repair would cost over $1500. I rejected the offer but asked if they could take off the warning light. They said that it was impossible, that only if they repaired it could that happen. As I was waiting for the return of my car, they told me that now my passenger window wouldnt go up (although not even 20 minutes earlier I had raised it). I was told that the part was a window motor and it would cost $180. Since I had no choice, but found it highly coincidental, I agreed. They kept the car, but did give me a loaner, for 3 days. When I went to pick it up, they had charged me for 2 diagnosis, and $250 for the part. When I said I was told it was $180 the gentleman told Thats the price. $250. I paid. When I got in the car magically the airbag warning had disappeared. I then contacted BMW Canada complaint department. Then I received a phone call from the service department asking me about my experience. I told him and he said the manager would call me back that day. He never did. I called back BMW Canada and they said they would have him call me. Again he never did. After a week I called BMW Canada to complain again and they called him and transferred the call to me. I asked the complaint department to stay on the line as I spoke with him. She said she could not but to call her back after my call with him.I spoke with him for about 5 minutes. He was belligerent and kept saying they were not thieves. He would not give me an explanation as to how this could have happened. Since I was getting nowhere with him, I hung up and called back the complaint department again at BMW Canada. The woman had left for the day (16:00hr). I left numerous messages for BMW Canada to call me and finally heard back. They say there is nothing they can do other than when the dealership comes up for review, bring it up. If this is how BMW deals with their clients, I promise you this will be my last BMW.

I purchased a BMW-X1 series from Sanghi Classic (BMW showroom) at Jaipur on 16/8/12. Now its total running kilometer is 14,214 km till date. But after that, we found that my vehicle is not running properly - On speed of 100 km, my vehicle trembles automatically which may cause serious accident at any time. We have a Honda CRV for the last 5 years and have changed the tires of the vehicle, and now, after running for more than 100,000 km, there is no damage in any of the tires. But in just running for 14,214 km of the BMW vehicle, we found that the condition of the tire is worst from the inside and in a very worst condition and is very risky to drive or travel. So please look in to the matter and replace the same with a new one. Thanks and regards.

Clear coat failure, 2007 530i - Early in 2011, I took my BMW in for service to Bert Smith BMW in Saint Petersburg, FL. While the car was there, I had them look at clear coat that was disappearing from top surfaces on my car. They informed me that it looked like production defect so they would get a BMW rep to come look. Supposedly, the rep checked it out and deemed to be environmental issue. What the heck does that mean? If you live in FL and buy a $56,000 BMW that it is normal for the paint job to last 4 years tops. My neighbors Hyundai still has a beautiful paint job (same climate). How ridiculous. BMWNA Customer Relations deals with these problems like idiot robots. Anyone have any ideas?

I wrote my first review a week ago telling you guys how my 2009 BMW x6, with 39,000 miles on it, stopped one day on the road and lost the power while the engine light was on. The estimate to fix the problem was $3,000, plus tax. I called BMW North America asking them for help, but they left me with nothing. After waiting for any of their response for the whole week, I just found out that they will not cover it because I bought this car one year ago! How is that possible??? The car has only 39,000 miles on it, and my warranty expired two months ago!!!I cannot believe how a big prestigious company treats their customers. Looks like its not worth to pay so much money for the cars that have so many major problems!!! I have a very bad experience with BMW, and Im very disappointed with how BMW treats their customers. Can someone please help me? Does anyone know the contact info to the main office in Germany??? What can I do now??? I feel that this is so not fair that I have to pay already big money for the car that has such a low mileage when its warranty expired only two months ago, when originally, the manufacturers warranty is up to $50,000. Very, very sad and disappointed...

I bought a 2001 BMW 330CI from a friend in 2007. As much as I enjoyed my driving experience through the years, I have spent thousands of dollars in repairs. And every 2 years, I dreaded the smog certification process. It always failed and I would usually spend a ton of money trying to get it fixed so it would pass and I could renew my registration. This year was the last straw. I spent 3 months going back and forth to my mechanic, testing, re-testing and spending almost $600 on repairs; still not passing. Then I took it to another mechanic, where I spent over $1,000; still not passing. Then I went to a BMW dealer to have them reset the computer due to a BMW Bulletin on that particular year/model; still not passing, and another $175. In between all these visits, I took it out on various driving cycles to reset the monitors, per various YouTube recommendations. Finally, it passed in April 2015. In September 2015, I decided to sell the car, but since the sale was outside the 90-day window of smog certification, I had to have it smog checked again. Guess what? It failed. After fighting with a few of the mechanics I used before, one of them cut me a little break on the price; did some additional repairs to the tune of $411 and finally the car passed the smog check. In total, I spent almost $2,200 in repairs, just for smog certification, not to mention all the other stuff I had replaced over the years. By the way, most of the smog repairs were due to faulty sensors. I called the corporate office of BMW and they wouldnt do anything in the way of reimbursement.

BMW 2011 x535i Premium Problems - I purchased this car new 2 years ago. My car boiled at 12,520 mi. in New Mexico, was towed to Tucson At 2 am for 1.5 hrs. Tucson BMW - requested them to drain and measure oil. They refused! BMW book for owners states: Too little or too much oil can damage engine and/or transmission. BMW doesnt care. In Sept. 2013, got front brakes at Escondido BMW, CA. They refused to change the rotors that were badly rusted and below specs until I returned to the BMW shop after taking it to a German shop to see if they did the work. They didnt. Upon returning, I was able to force them to change the rotors. Since purchasing the BMW, the car hesitates and jerks for about two blocks before driving right. The car emergency parking brake is designed to ruin the transmission if it isnt applied in a certain order. There is a pin in the brake that will pop if not set right and if it breaks off, you need a new transmission! $$$$. The leather is cheap and thin. I am a single retired woman that doesnt drive daily. My seat is worn as if it had 60,000 mi. on it, instead of 29,000! I also paid an extra $1,300 for contour seats, but the ride is so hard, you become a bobble Head with a headache if you arent driving on very smooth highways! My entire rear muffler system arrived totally rusted when brand new. BMW has a 10-yr. Rust warranty, but refuses to honor it! Windshield was defective in the 20,000 mi. range. BMW refused to honor their Windshield warranty also... My cost: $903! The glare from defects blinded me. Navigation went out three times, blank red, then all in German language... Acktune? Attention! Etc. My AM-FM and Sirius also went blank. If they cant replicate it at that moment, they wont fix it and dont care. Navigation works, but also is defective and often tells you the wrong way to turn, so you also have to rely on N, S, W, E. When you buy the car new, they want you to pay hundreds to update your navigation. It does not come updated!!!Gas mileage is not good like they claim. Neither is the twin turbo engine. I was told by a Vista BMW dealer mgr. that I need to add a qt of oil every 2,000 Miles. I dont think that is in the manual either. The oil seals go bad often, claims a BMW mechanic. When BMW was being taken apart by BMW rep at Encinitas BMW, they scratched my rear side bumper! They also did not put the car back together right and frequently called to tell me the car was ready when they had not performed the work, causing multiple trips to dealers and much aggravation and gas.Filed a lemon law in NJ where I bought the car. If I had purchased it in Calif. BMW would have bought the car back; but all they want to give me is $8,000, which is standard for any lemon law complaint in OH and NJ unless the car quits and is a life threat or injury from malfunction is proven. Someone in Munich had my same vin# except for last 5 nos. Their car stopped in the middle of the highway, lost all power and brakes! This happens to some BMW owners of X5s. At the time I purchased the car, I thought I loved it. Now that I own it, and have researched all problems with this model. It states in Car magazines this is the 2nd worst SUV for 2011 and is on the Do not buy list because of all major problems. This car sticker: $63,225. Worth: 0 in safety and reliability and service at BMW! BMW does not honor their warranties! If you file a lemon on BMW, be aware they add code 13 on their confidential Store copy of your invoice. This means the dealer must contact BMW Corp. in NJ., who in turn tells the dealer to do nothing except oil changes and they told me their hands were tied! BMW corporate just did a fabulous remodel for $100 million in New Jersey. It seems nobody can make them honor their worthless warranties! My recommendation: Do not buy this car unless you are a European mechanic. BMW does not tell you to buy a software update program for $325 or your car may totally fail leaving you helpless and frightened when it shuts down. Locks are iffy. Sometimes they work, but they seem easy to break into. Remote battery fails frequently and all BMW does is temp. charge it. BMW can erase all the codes on your car if they dont want you to know what is really wrong.I had German shop run 3 pgs. of codes that were bad on my new car. BMW Ohio kept these records. They were mostly camera errors. If you can find a German shop to run codes on your car, then you will know what is really wrong. BMW will never admit to any failures and paid millions in fines to NHSTA because they refuse to turn in complaints to the national board according to the law in the time frame regulated for the first few years on any BMW! Why are they allowed to get away with breaking the law????? And why cant they be made to Honor all their warranties, which you pay for in the price of the car and is an Incentive to purchase the car? Prestige BMW in NJ also failed to give us the $2,500 holiday credit incentive they promised! And it took two months to get the privacy cover that came with the car new! You be the judge! I am sending this complaint because I would like to leave a precedent in relation to BMWs poor service (customer service, car technical service department, and the financial department). When I got my car lease BMW in 2016, I got the tire and wheel protection they offered me. But it was the worst decision I took. This protection never cover me beside is the worst protection according with the policy. I got the tires and Wheels insurance which covered any damage that might arise. A few weeks ago I saw the need to carry my car because the screen showed that the tires on the back of the car were with air deficit, in addition to a physical malformation that we noticed one of the wheels (bowel). After reviewing it in the service, they came to the conclusion that the two rear tires had to be changed, but that the insurance only covered one, and the other would not be covered because it did not have a hole or a nail. Irresponsible situation on the part of them, taking into account that if I had continued with that car because of that bad physical formation of the tire I could have exposed myself to having an accident that could possibly have generated death or physical damage. I explained the situation and obtained the advice of both mechanics, lawyers, and BMW employees, who concluded that they did not know why I had not covered the insurance. Finally pay to be able to withdraw my car. Now I receive a bill where I have to pay the dealers fee in addition to a remaining payment. I think BMW irresponsible, because in my case I was forced to deliver the car before the time because I did not feel safe driving a car in which I had no guarantees. Because of this, I am in the process of sending a complaint to the BBB or consult it having illegal process initiated. Thank you.

I DID PURCHASE A BRAND NEW BMW 520 D from BMW from the Cochin dealer in India, Completed 3 years and done less than 20000KM, regularly serviced at BMW, last servicing done at 15000 km. Recently it was noticed that only one of the rear brake pads had worn out and had badly damaged the disc while all other brake pads are okay and the BMW intelligent maintenance system display showing all brake pads okay. The system is showing all brake pads okay, a rear brake pad replacement after 4100KM and front brake pad replacement after 37000KM ! THE KEY DATA AND THE Printout also confirms that while it failed to monitor and display any warning even after the pads badly damaged, the disc (we noticed it after hearing abnormal sound, otherwise we would have stranded some WHERE). Although the dealer said that he will write to BMW, as expected he came back to us asking for our consent to repair the discs for approx. US$1400. He failed to give any explanation for the failure of the BMW intelligent maintenance system, CBS, The I drive display, VEHICLE information display, etc. and is not ready to own any responsibility to ensure a reliable system, leaving us doubts about the reliability of other data shown on the display about the wear and tear, fluid levels, etc. Such an irresponsible response is unacceptable for expensive vehicles as the systems has to be reliable and if there is a fault and consequent damage, inconvenience to its clients, the company should take responsibility and get the matters sorted out at the shortest time possible.

My 2004 BMW 525 headlights have completely hazed over. I have tried several aftermarket products for headlight lens restoration. This has not worked or even made them marginally clearer. My dealer service person believes that the lenses were made of a lower quality plastic in this time frame compared to newer models. The only repair is to replace the whole headlight assemblies at $2,000 each. The Customer Relations person at BMW USA cheerfully took the complaint and said that nothing would be done. We are on our own. It is always nice to see a company stand behind a poor engineering decision, which is widely known within the company.

Share my unfortunate experience with BMW quality! I bought a BMW X1 about 4 years 9 months ago. Troubles started just after bought it. This and that warning lights came up often. After about one year, the battery drains all the time, have to replace the whole electric and battery system. A few weeks ago, just about 9 months out of the warranty, I drove it to Utah for a vacation. When I drove back home, it broke down in a city with transmission malfunction warning on the way. I have to tow it to the city BMW service for repair. After spent more than $1200, I still cannot drive it back home. It needs to replace the transmission, costs more than $11000. Left me with no other options, I have to sell it to the BMW dealer cheap and rent a car back home! This car only has 47000 miles, the transmission is gone!

Purchase a BMW 328i late Dec 2012, 48,800 miles. Im retired, drive less than 8,500 miles a yr., pick up my grandkids from school 12 miles roundtrip. In the first 2 months after I got this car Ive taken it back to the dealership at least 5x. RED FLAG. Check engine light on, door wont open, oil leak. Dealerships fix everything, no problem till June 2013 & no longer under 50,000. Had this car 5 1/2 months, at the dealership 6 times & had to pay over $990 to the blower on the AC. Since then Ive paid for several oil leaks, gasket valve replaced, door locks because it was a mechanical problem, window problems, AC problems - 2 more times had to raise hell about that to get it fix & still charged me $150.00 for a part because only the blower was under warranty. Check engine light NEVER goes off & no one knows why.Picked up my grandson from school on a hot day, the car just stopped. No lights, no warning, just died. Took it back to the dealership that informed me my break fluid was leaking, my transmission may have problems & my suspension is going out... my car was just at the dealership for routine oil change, break fluid & tires 3 weeks before it stopped. I ask them about a noise my car made when I turn left/right but they didnt hear or see anything. They gave me a quote for everything that needs fixing & I almost hell passed out, I had to get 2nd quote. While driving home on the freeway front suspension went completely out, tried to stop that, car was all over the place, it scared me so bad I had to pull off the Fwy. I just cried, 35 mins later start car back up, took the side streets, home only 10 mins away when my car started shaking. I stopped at lights, it would shake more & act like it was going to die... Who knows what the hell that is.I financed this car, make payments, take great care of it... Only drove it to pick up my grandkids, get groceries & church... I would park it on the weekends cause my daughter would pick me up... Those miles on the car came from driving back & forth 40 min 1 way to the dealership 15 time in less than 3 yrs... Its been sitting for 2 weeks. Im too scared to drive it, even if I could afford all these recent repairs $8,000-$10,000... THIS IS THE WORST CAR I EVER HAD... This car has been in the shop more than I actually driven it. Ive spent over $3,800 not including routine maintenance on a car I didnt drive when it did run... This car is nightmare. Every time I look at it I start to cry... WHOEVER READ THIS, NEVER BUY A BMW EVER. Lease a new model, 2 yr then take it back... Can I sue BMW??

I placed a new vehicle order for a BMW X5 in September 2014, at BMW Monrovia, CA. BMW North America (NA) changed the delivery date several times. I had no confidence in them but my sales guy kept telling me different stories why they had to put off the delivery. I finally got my vehicle in November 2014. BMW NA then said they would give me a goodwill check ($1,028) for late delivery.I started to have a nightmare for this check. After two months I did not see the check, I went to ask my sale guy at the dealership. He later told me BMW NA sent a $500 check to my previous address. (My sales guy made a mistake by giving BMW NA that address as I had not lived there for two years). He said he had contacted BMW NA several times to ask for the check. It appears no one there was taking care of this matter. After hard pursuit, I finally had my check delivered to me in May 2015. That is six months later after they made their promise. I had to chase after my sales guy who was lazy by not advising me timely what was going on with this matter. The experience was horrible. There was no such thing called customer service with BMW NA. It is shame you have to keep chasing after them closely for more than six months to do their work. It is a shame with BMW NA.

I had service done at Vista BMW in Coconut Creek, FL after receiving via email service coupons and discounts. After the service was done and the emailed coupons were presented the Service Manager denied and did not apply the coupons. 20% discount was offered on any service done at the dealer. After the service was done, the manager refused to apply the coupon and pointed out the fine print. This coupon is very deceiving as it was very clear that they wanted to get customers pulled into the dealership for service thru this offer, only to turn it down when it was time to pick up the vehicle.

I have dealt with Victoria BC BMW now for 5 years and am sorry to say that they have lost me as a customer. Forever. Awful, horrible, deplorable service. They simply disregard the clients concerns. Over the past 2 years my vehicle has been in the repair shop to have the following fixed and they simply just say they cant fix the following: a) A car that just stalls out of the blue for no reason. b) Brakes that squeal in reverse. c) Also the brakes needed to be replaced after 10K km!!! Which was not covered by warranty. This is ridiculous and there needs to be a recall on that model - 2018 X1.d) The trunk closes when you are half way inside of it. Very scary. I requested they disengage that automatic setting and they were unable to do it. ???? So I have lived for 2 years in fear of going into the trunk because it would randomly close on me when I was inside of it.BMW VICTORIA- you do not live up to the customer service mission statement of BMW.

X28i X1 - Car with 75000 mile completely shut off in middle of traffic with catastrophic engine failure due to timing chain. We were lucky we were not killed. Cost us $8000 to replace engine (we still owe on the vehicle loan to begin with). Drove the car once and now it needs a new battery and alternator. Piece of crap and BMW should step up and reimburse us for this repair as they know this problem exists.

Many people come in complaining of a problem when it is just a common thing to happen.

Today he was told he needs a new transmission for $4,800 and he is just at 40,000 miles and three months out of warranty. The dealer said they could not help since it was out of time not miles on the warranty. He never drove it hard, just drove to work and around town, still has same tires. Is there anything he can do? For a luxury car, this is a piece of crap. We bought a 528i, and 2 years later the thing is nothing but problems. The heater does not blow hot air unless you max the thermostat out. The fan won’t blow air unless you max the fan speed out. The vents fall apart and are not covered under warranty or extended warranty. Took it to the dealer and they said it was all normal and accused us of user error breaking the vents. No one sits in the back seat, but yet the vent broke. Total BS. Will never buy another one of these crappy cars. I have a BMW X5 as well, also crappy piece of junk. They can’t even honor their warranty or roadside service commitments. Total waste of money. Hendrick BMW in Pleasanton California is the dealership that we used and they are substandard. Never been so ignored by any car dealership. Took all day to get an update on a car they had for 3 + days, only to get all the BS answers about why they could not do any of the repairs. Just BS about normal function and blamed us for their ** falling apart.

A tech has been promised to come out to the dealership to try and find out why the MPG are so bad on a 2010. They e-mail me from headquarters between such and such day; they either dont call and let me know they are not coming, or I go and get a loaner and they come for ten minutes and then leave. This is actually the third time I have tried to have the car looked at. I cant just drop everything the night before and go and get the loaner and leave my car. Some of us do have other things to do in our lives. Communication between the dealer and the customer care of BMW is awful. You would think they would let you know the exact day and then have a loaner for you, not so. The dealer is also frustrated. Their follow-up service is the worst ever of any car I have owned, and that has been quite a few over the years.I paid over 4000 dollars extra for the car to get good gas mileage and have asked every time when I bring it for service to check it, and nothing changes.

I own a 2008 335i with 50k miles. I was alerted via the mail that there was an airbag recall. When I called the 800 number and gave them my VIN I was then told it had 3 recalls. I called the closest BMW dealer to schedule repair. I was told they could not give me a loaner car even though I am an hour away and the three recalls would take all day. Upon arriving at the dealer with my wife following me in another vehicle I observed customer after customer receiving loaner vehicles for only routine service. The recalls werent my fault, BMW offered no help at their 800 number. This will be the last BMW I ever own. I own or have owned Mercedes, Porsche, Ford and GM. In this day and age vehicles have issues I understand that but BMW should have stepped to the plate and at least offered a loaner for a 7 hour repair. They did not...This review may not mean much or my one wallet may not mean much to them but they will not receive any more of my hard earned money....

We purchased a pre-owned certified BMW in Fresno, CA in April 2013. Within the first week we had problems with the electrical and our amp went out completely. We were told that it needed to be reset but it continued to fail. We had to take the car in 5 times before they replaced the amp. This was only the beginning of our problems. In the first year of ownership, we had multiply problems with the car including but not limited to: new air conditioning, rear door latch, interior door panel, oil leak. The biggest and most dangerous problem occurred on February 11, 2015. I was driving home on the freeway and I lost all power in the car. We were in the fast lane, going up a hill and suddenly no power! There were no warning lights of any kind, just complete power failure! I was able to pull over on the freeway and call the BMW service department in Fresno. I was told by my service adviser to simply turn off the car and it would reset. Upon my arrival back in Fresno, I took the car in to the BMW dealership for repair. After the car was there for a few days, I was told to pick up the car because the service department found nothing wrong with the transmission. Once again I drove the car and with my family in the car on the freeway, I lost complete power again! I took the car back to the service department and told them the car was unsafe to drive. I was given a loaner car. My car was in the service department for one month! My service adviser called me and said that there was nothing wrong with the car and to come and pick it up! I then called the service manager and customer relations with BMW corporate. I explained I could not drive this car because it was not safe for my family or any other driver on the road! It was then that they did an electronic test and determined that it needed a new transmission. On July 23, 2016, on our way to the central coast, the engine started making a horrible loud noise. I took it in to Coast BMW and they informed me my AC compressor was out, the wishbone was cracked and had to be replaced and they found 2 oil leaks. My car had been burning one quart of oil a month and the Fresno service department told me that was normal for an x5! The service advisor at Coast BMW told me my car was NOT SAFE to drive. We had to leave our car at the coast and rent a car home. These are all problems that should have been discovered by the Fresno service team because the car had been in several times. There is truly no excuse for BMW to put the lives of my family and the lives of others at risk. I trusted that I purchased the ultimate driving machine. These problems should NEVER happen to another family. Please be warned that BMW is willing to risk your life and your families lives to save a buck.

I purchased a Certified 328i from Keeler BMW in Schenectady 10/15. The car had 29,000 miles on it when I purchased. Certified means that the car should be covered for most issues until it reaches either 100k or 3/12/19. My engine blew within 9 months of owning the car. BMW first tried telling me that they werent sure this was going to be covered. After threatening to sue, a new engine was ordered from overseas and covered. Shortly after, there was a recall and the oil line had to be replaced. I was told this would take 4 hours. I waited for over 8 hrs. Only 2-3 months later I found over an inch of water in the back of the car which soaked through the floor mats and through the carpet. The door seals broke. Yet another fight with BMW because they first claimed that this happens and that the door seals werent covered. They eventually covered them but never bothered addressing the fact that the carpets were soaked for weeks while I waited for an appointment to get the seals fixed. One would think that they would dry and professionally clean the carpets to rid of mold and mildew. They didnt bother, so now theres a lovely smell of mildew throughout my car. This brings me to one of the rear doors not opening for months due to the lock not working. I can only assume this is because water was running through the door panel when the seals werent working. Another fix. Theres a short in the passenger seats sensor. I have to keep the seat belt buckled when the seat is empty just so the annoying beeping will stop. I noted this as one of the items to be taken care of when I dropped the car off to have the door seals replaced. The dealership neglected to fix it. The bluetooth doesnt work. I have to have my phone plugged in, it wont pickup otherwise. As of todays date, 07/31/2017, my car has 70,000 miles on it with coverage thats supposed to extend up to 100,000 miles. The car sounds like a go kart when I start it and turn it off. Ive contacted BMW several times asking what they will do in terms of a tradein. Im tired of having this car serviced and out of commission for days, at times, weeks. I use my car for my business. There are certain standards that should be met by BMW considering the consumer is paying for the brand name and customer service that is supposed to be associated along with. If I wanted a car that was going to be in the shop every month, Id buy a 3k beater off of Craigslist. BMW has only offered me $1,500 towards a NEW BMW as a resolution. Completely unreasonable. This car is a LEMON. I would expect the company to recognize this and offer a more reasonable resolution. This is my third BMW. Wheres the customer service? Perhaps at Mercedes.

I have had my BMW for 3 years and it was time to turn in my lease. Autovin had come to my house and inspected the car - they reported no problems at all to me. Called BMW FS to confirm that everything was fine a few days later and was informed that everything was good to go and I could turn in the car. I return the car a few days later to BMW Freehold & that evening I called BMW FS to inform them I dropped off the car and that I had fulfilled all responsibility on my end including paying for mileage overages. At that time, the representative advised I had to pay $300 for a tire that was 3 on the tread since they allow 4 and above. This was complete news to me & I called spoke to manager Asha ** who was the least bit helpful and all she could say was, Sorry, we cannot do anything else. I spoke to another supervisor Erin ** who also had no authority to make any changes & said this is how it is. It would have been nice to been informed of any wear on the tire as I could have replaced it myself and saved $200. I am about to get a new BMW in two weeks but definitely will not get that anymore. Word to the wise - DO NOT LEASE FROM BMW, they will screw you at the end and wont tell you about it until later when you are helpless.

I shut the drivers door and went to open the back door and it was locked and went back to open the drivers door which I had just got out of and it was locked also. I checked all doors and they were all locked. I was devastated. My three month granddaughter was lock in the car and crying. I could not understand this at all because my keys to the car was still in the car and the car was still running. I was so upset, I ran into Wendys to tell my daughter and to ask for help. All this time my three month old granddaughter was in the car still crying really bad. My daughter and about six other people ran out of Wendys to my car to help. Because all doors were locked a young lady had to break the back window on the BMW for us to get the door open to get my granddaughter. We got my granddaughter out ok but she did have broken glass all over her from the young lady breaking the window. Your BMW Lover.

I purchased a BMW 318ti in December 2009. I started experiencing a never ending coolant problem on the car since July 2010 and until at present. In over a year, Ive spent the total amount of R26475.05 trying to get this problem resolved. Every three to four months, the car has the same problem. Every time I take it to a BMW dealer, they never take responsibility for the previous work or parts that was replaced on the car. They double charged me, and I cannot seem to get the problem resolved. The car has been booked in numerous times; if a service is requested to be done on the car, they claim they have done full diagnostic tests on the car. So, how come I have to fork out a fortune every three to four months to fix the car?

From GM to used car manager have been unable to get an honest answer when looking at a used M5 with 14k. Checking the carfax car was sold as a CPO elite. First I called the dealership to confirm with service. When a service advisor answered she told me when I gave her the VIN # that this car was NOT in their system. Not in their system, it is on their lot!! Then was told when asked the salesperson that the car was NOT CPO. I decided to call an independent BMW service tech. BMW warranty info is nationwide. He was extremely helpful once I have him the last 7 numbers. He told me it is a CPO car and goes with the car, just purchased less than 4 months ago. After reading all the negative reviews of BMW customer service think I might pass on buying my first BMW. Especially since my local BMW dealership does not seem to know what they have on their lot.

I owned a 2008 BMW 335i. My car got caught in fire yesterday and it covered with flames. Luckily I got out the car quickly and nobody is hurt. Its too dramatic and I would never have expected this. I used to love its apparent and the cars handling, even though there are numerous problems I had to deal with (random misfires, water pump, fuel pump and crankshaft position sensor failures). Up to this point, I am hesitated to buy another BMW in future. I Googled and there is a list of news reported about BMWs get caught in fire.

I leased a 2014 528i about a year ago. The dealer (Vista BMW) claimed my deal was below wholesale... 50k for a sticker price of 56k. The car is adequate, nothing special, and the run flat tires are a joke... even Hyundai gives you a spare if you want. They run hard and if a flat BMW wants you to REPLACE it at your expense (about $350. Or more.) I took the car to CARMAX two months after I got it. It had 1600 miles and was perfect. CARMAX offered me $35k for the car (21k under sticker). I learned by talking to other dealers that BMW is so overpriced that you will never get out of it unless you take a huge hit. DO NOT BUY THIS OVERRATED AND OVERPRICED CAR. It will take me a couple years to get over this. I am a prisoner in this thing.

I have a 2011 BMW 528i Sedan. Bought as a CPO, with factory warranty for about a year remaining at the time of purchase. From the beginning, I have noticed that trying to brake moderately quickly at low speeds (10 - 20 MPH) would create a very bad clunk from the front-end. Trying to reapply the brake quickly while the car is starting to roll (driving off) will cause a smaller clunk and a very noticeable vibration of the whole body of the car. Dealer replaced the thrust-rod bushings in the front, but that did not fix it.Later, the dealer (perhaps under instructions from BMW?) started claiming that the clunk was normal, since it was found in other 5-series cars!! They would simply not regard the fact that other BMW cars dont exhibit the same problem, and heck, even the non-luxury cars from Honda / Toyota / Nissan / Hyundai / GM / Ford etc. etc. dont exhibit this problem!!Now I am close to the expiration of factory warranty. In the last month or so, I have started noticing a metallic knock from the rear axle area when braking at 15-20 MPH speed, a clicking noise from the front passenger door while slowing down, various creaks/squeaks from various parts of the body at random while driving, unusually heavy rattling from the driver and front passenger doors/windows on rough pavement...I have taken the car to the dealer for these various noises, and the dealer has not been able to replicate these noises, other than just one rattle from the coin box. A LOT OF PROBLEMS, in one sentence. To make matters worse, MOST of the things outside the power-train seem to be excluded under the BMW CPO warranty. I am not really sure what to do, as the factory warranty is about to expire in just two weeks..

I lease a 2014 528i and I am about to return the car at the end of the Nov 2016. I have leased Lexus, Mercedes, Audi, Volvo and Toyota and I have never had such a ridiculously high inspection report/quote. They charged me for 3 tires @ $300 ea! (I have 34k miles on the car) and they charged me another $1200 dollars for absolutely normal small MINUTE DINGS on the bumpers. That is outrageous! I called customer service and everyone has a very pompous and entitled attitude. Theyre very rude! One supervisor finally removed 1 tire charge and 1 ding charge of $300 but still leaving me with an abusive $900 charge for a couple of very small dings that you can barely see.I called customer service a second time and the woman I spoke with was rude, short and useless! Not to mention that after driving the car for 2 years it started shaking and rattling when idled at a traffic light. These cars are not built well at all. They are the ultimate driving machine indeed. They will ultimately drive you broken, frustrated and unsatisfied. I was actually considering leasing an X6 but now I WILL NEVER LEASE OR BUY ANOTHER BMW AGAIN.

Next week took back to dealer to get it checked to get it fixed. At the end of the day dealer called me saying they could not find any trouble with the car and they compare the noise with brand new 2014 BMW X3 and the noise is normal. Took the car back home and after week the ticking noise is still constant and now I can hear it on the upper first floor window of my home. What a disappointment!! I will take back to dealer as I did research on internet and found that this kind of trouble lot of other people have also. I have 2012 Honda CRV and it still runs very silky smooth and cost half of this BMW X3. If BMW dealer cannot fix it, I will fight till they buy back it from me as this is nothing but a lemon. Since I bought my new 2007 BMW 530I in 2006, I have had a squeaky brake problem - a defect in the rotor. Up to this date, 2012, this problem has not been resolved. I have taken the vehicle into the dealerships repeatedly to fix this issue over the last 6 years, but it has never been fixed, and they never told me that the rotors needed to be replaced to fix the squeaking brakes until now, as my maintenance warranty is expiring soon. Out of all the years I took it in, they never told me this until now, and they appeared to be trying to get money out of me to pay out of pocket. Under the maintenance warranty, I need to drive the vehicle another 14,000 miles before they can replace the rotors for wear, but my warranty will end before I can drive that amount. Otherwise, I will have to pay out of pocket $900 per rotor to replace. I also contacted BMW customer service, and they told me they cannot do anything under the maintenance program and the warranty for the rotors expired already. I am very upset that BMW cannot resolve this squeaking brake issue. Im upset that the dealership never fixed this issue from the beginning, and BMWs poor customer service cannot help me. The squeaking has become unbearable wherever I go. Dont ever buy a BMW; overpriced and poor customer service.

BMW Financial is irresponsible and incompetent in managing consumer accounts. I had an account with BMW and made payments through Moneygram over a period of four months. Moneygram was not informed BMW was no longer using their services, even though each payment appeared to be received by BMW Financial. My car broke down. I took it to the dealer and it was repossessed for non payment, even though I had receipts indicating payments had been made. As a result, I was stranded in another state with a child. And they wouldnt accept the payments, even though cash was offered to immediately cover the payments they purportedly didnt receive. I will never buy another BMW or deal with their financial services, which appear to be managed by over zealous teens. They have no future other than pretending to have authority over people who drive cars they otherwise probably couldnt afford.

The warranty does not cover the motor mount however, after only 30K miles, the part must be defective. Furthermore, the cost was quoted as close to $1500. BMW customer service, after speaking with the dealer negotiated the cost down to $600+. I told the BMW rep that it was still not acceptable and would he send me the details of his conversation with me to my Email. I wished to pursue the matter. He said that was not possible! I could not appeal the decision and that was final. I rarely have been spoken to in such a manner as if I were an errant school girl. A take it or leave it attitude. Very shocked about how the BMW company is represented. I would characterize the rep as a junkyard dog. There to discourage the customers. I have an appointment to have the part replaced outside the dealership and the cost will be less than $300. I will also be writing a review of the BMW dealership.

I purchased a brand new 2007 BMW 328I in October of 2006. After 6 years of owning that car, I am completely swearing off of BMW for life. Most recently, the steering lock on the car malfunctioned. A few months back, it was an engine overheating problem that caused my engine to completely lose all power in the middle of a busy intersection. Over the years, there were countless incidences of the vehicle losing power. Put all that together with a ride that is hardly ever smooth, lots of jerkiness and delays in acceleration. I contacted BMW to complain about the most recent issue - not because the issue itself, but because of my level of dissatisfaction that a brand as reputable and as costly as BMW would present me with this many issues on a 6-year old car. It pains me to have to say goodbye to a car that is as attractive as the BMW model, but I refuse to spend my hard-earned money with a dishonorable company on a car that under-performs.

My wife and I were driving when our car just died on the highway which is a 2011 bmw 335i coupe with 94.*** miles that she recently bought used. I called the Bmw of Portland. They said to come over and bring the car because I have warranty, they said which expires on the 30th of this Month, I was surprised but at the same time happy. We got the car in the shop, they gave us a rental. After a few days we received a phone call saying they cannot detect the issue because the battery is dead and its not original equipment. Two months prior, we replaced the battery at specialized Bmw shop, the battery was programmed and registered like it supposed to. So now bmw wants $500 for a new battery so they can test drive the car and duplicate the problem, but the funny thing is they said they charged it overnight and it fired up but died after an hour. So I told him obviously there is something draining the battery and he said nope its just the battery isnt original equipment. So I called a different bmw dealership because they refused to change the air filter and oil change while you can see that the air filter is super dirty. The main technician guy is scandalous and lazy. Spark notes car lost complete power and when I mean complete its out like nothing works at all. Prior a week before a car started to have longer cranks but it would always start. There is a recall for the positive battery cable but when I type my vin in it says I dont have a recall. I dont know what to do.

My overall experience with my BMW 4-Series Grand Coupe model: sports ride, awesome performance and sleek style. I like the navigation package because visually it is appealing and has several functionalities that are easy to use. The heated steering heats up to a comfortable setting for my hands. The heated seats, front and back, is extremely useful for my family on cold days. The seats are typical for a sports car. However, for a BMW, I expect that the seat should be more comfortable. Friends and family I wanted to share my recent experience with BMW to forewarn any of you who might be considering purchasing a vehicle with them. Although this post is long, I please urge you to read through and leave comments and share to strengthen my case against BMW. I own 2010 535I GT. Summary of my experience: I had initially gone to BMW to repair a faulty water pump, where they should have also discovered the other issues they later diagnosed during their 27-point inspection. These issues were overlooked and I had to bring my car back to get re-diagnosed, where they estimated $5,700 in repairs. After the repairs were done, a new problem arose, and funny enough, the new problem is the result of them fixing the initial issue, which they still have the nerve to charge me to fix. Read the full story below:I first noticed an issue with my car 2 months ago when my engine started overheating on the freeway. As a result I towed my car to McKenna BMW in Norwalk, CA where I paid close to $800 to repair a faulty water pump. Close to two weeks later I found another issue. This time the problem was the headliner on the sunroof. I brought my car to BMW of Ontario where a full inspection was done. The diagnosis: replace the headliner and repair leaks in valve cover gasket and oil filter housing. Total cost estimate for repairs: $5,700. After making a fuss, they agreed to a 25% discount and since I had guests coming in from out of country, I okayed the repairs. After that I started checking reviews online. I noticed that quite a few people had complaints about headliner malfunction. One was at 14,000 miles. Had I been using my sunroof, I would have probably discovered this problem sooner and would have been a part of warranty. I do think it is a faulty part and manufacturing defect. After I picked up my car, I got on the freeway and heard noise from the roof again. Stopped by home real quick to pick something up. As soon as I turned off the engine, there was a big squeaking noise coming from the engine. Took the car back and had a test drive with the service manager on duty, and he concurred with the two noise issues and promised to fix them. A week later the service advisor contacted me saying the noise from the roof was fixed. However the squeaking noise was a result of repairing the gaskets. Explanation was that when there was a leak in gasket, the air had an escape route. After replacing the gaskets, the air had nowhere to escape, thus making the noise. To eliminate the noise I would have to pay to replace the valve cover. Beware: If you are buying a brand new BMW, there would be a squeaky noise from the engine because the gaskets would be new and the air would have nowhere to escape (lol). I contacted BMW corporate to explain my situation and to be refunded for my repairs, waste of time and inconvenience. They dismissed my claim and said there was nothing they could do since I no longer had warranty. I definitely feel profiled as a woman, and I feel like the BMW dealership preyed on my lack of mechanical knowledge to squeeze me for every cent. This was a truly exhausting and upsetting customer service experience. I expect much more from a luxury car company.

Purchased a CPO 2006 X3 with 13K on it in 2006. Car now has 103K on it. First time buy of a BMW for us. Have owned many different brands (Ford, GM, Dodge, Audi, Honda) and I have never had anywhere near the range of problems that the BMW has had with any of them. Car was back at the dealer every 3 months like clockwork over a 3 year period for a different failure each time. Everything was fixed under the extended warranty that comes with the CPO cars (thanks God!!) and the dealer has been very good at fixing each problem. But due to the wide variety of failures, whatever confidence I had in the ultimate driving machine is long gone. Car is used for commuting to work daily for my wife and has always been garaged. The list of failures fixed under warranty: Torn engine mount, Sunroof controller failed, heated steering wheel failed (which also required a new airbag due to chaffed wires in the steering wheel), failed engine computer, failed rear wiper motor, water in the high mounted LED brake light, failed drivers seat position memory module, rear passenger door lock failed, broken rear coil spring and there is an oil leak around the oil filter housing (something that I learned is very common and an $800 repair at the dealer). The things that I had to fix myself once the car came off warranty: Failed front drive shaft CV joint because the boot cracked and slung out all the grease and the other rear coil spring broke. While replacing the drive shaft I found that the steel used in the car is very cheap. I sheared off a bolt head like it was made of butter while removing the front suspension strut. BMW makes very nice cards out of very poor materials. The interior of the car is not holding up too well either. The seat vinyl is cracking and some of the bezels around the switches in the door panels are peeling off a layer of plastic. Last BMW Ill ever buy.

I dont know where you went to have your oil changed, but I do know most of the drive thru oil change places have poor, untrained employees who know nothing about cars, changing your oil. Its very possible one of these employees introduced oil to your cooling system via the overflow tank which could have long term effects on your engine, water pump, etc. I believe if you are a BMW owner or German car owner in general, you need to have some basic automotive understanding which would include NOT taking your car to any random oil change place. Learn how to do it yourself using the correct oil, filter and tools, and it can be so rewarding. Or take it to someone who cares about your car as much as you do...

I bought an 18 month old BMW 520d 2010 version on the basis of the fuel economy stats of 60+ mpg on the open road and 44 mpg in urban areas. I purchased the car from Vines Approved BMW dealer in Guildford, Surrey, UK. In practice, the car is only giving me 40 mpg on the open road and 25 in urban areas. I was given an as new warranty from the dealer and they have fully checked the car and they say that all the parts work fine, .etc but the practical answer is that they dont. A gap of 20mpg between advertised and actual performance is simply not close enough to be ignored. My legal question relates to the product description being completely misleading in their advertising and now they are hiding behind parts performance rather than the operating performance that they sell the car on. I have asked for them to either buy the car back or give me compensation based upon actual performance relative to that which is promised and they have rejected me. I would be most interested to know if others have had similar experience and whether I have legal grounds to pursue them.

My car was delivered with the engine light on. I subsequently had it taken back to BMW in Monsey, NY using my miles (over 100 there and back) only to have the light go back on, over the course of the lease. The tires, it appears arent strong enough for the weight of the car. I would get a flat often or bubbles on the tire, not to mention I felt everything on the road. My issue is mostly with roadside assistance. It would have been better not to have it as an option. I would never have gone with a BMW to start with, but more importantly I would not have been stuck for hours waiting for a promised tow truck -- that never showed up. On 3 occasions during my lease term of 39 months I needed roadside service. The first 2 times, they didnt have anyone and the third time, after waiting 90 minutes I was told the TOW TRUCK broke down. I purchased a 2009 BMW 238i and on Sep 30 2011, I took it to get an oil change. I dropped it off, got a loner, and went to work. Before I dropped it off that morning, the car ran great, it had no ticking, no engine lights nor loss of power. I hadnt heard from BMW so I called them, they said that they had talked to BMW NA and I need to agree to them removing my valve cover, at my expense of $700. I said that I only wanted an oil change. He told me they terminated my warranty. My warranty was for 4years/50,000 miles, it had not expired. I was very upset and made multiple attempts to call BMW NA and the supervisor told me that they would have to go with what the service center said and there was no one else to talk to. Disappointed, I picked my car up.The check engine light came on and while I was on the highway, the car made some loud ticking noises and the car seemed to be experiencing some power loss, in the mist of high traffic. I was in the middle lane when it started, and I immediately got over to get off the highway. And as I pulled off the highway, the car suddenly shut off (no power). I barely made it off the road. It just shut off. I had to call for a tow. That weekend, the car cranked up and it seemed to be nothing wrong. I took it around the block to see if it was okay. The ticking returned and the car shut off again and I had to coast it off the road onto church grounds and call a tow truck again. And now it will not crank at all. This is my only car and I have to rent a car. I did some research online and found several recalls, for example: BMW High-Pressure Fuel Pump Voluntary Emissions Recall and Voluntary Emissions and Safety Recalls, and tons of complaints about safety and how BMW terminates a lot of peoples warranties prior to their expiration date. BMW seems to be putting all of our lives at risk and terminating warranties at will.

I had purchased a BMW black X3 very recently on 8/2/13. The car was taken from the Cochin showroom on 8/2/13. While taking the car out on 9th for a short drive, a disturbing knock sound from the back side of the vehicle was occurring. The vehicle was taken to the showroom and the same was attended by the technicians on 12th Feb. On the 13th, while traveling the same sound was heard and this time it was louder. The vehicle was taken to the showroom again on 14th Feb, but I was informed by the staff that as the technicians were not available, the complaint cannot be attended to. The AC cooling effect was very less. Its highly disappointing to notice the callous attitude from the staff and just within days after purchasing a brand new car. This really creates a very bad remark on such a well-known prestigious brand.

There is a recall on all BMW N63 vehicles for excessive oil consumption bulletin B001314) customers care package. My BMW 550i GT is consuming oil and white smoke is coming out the tailpipe. I took my vehicle to BMW and they refuse to perform the necessary repairs included in the ccp, my crankcase valves, also the cooling hoses. All this is included in the class action suit they claim I have a engine leak. The engine is leaking because the valves are worn and need to be changed. I need help getting them to conform to the ccp. The people at BMW say I need to replace my engine at a cost of more than 15 thousand dollars and due to the mileage on my car 106 thousand they are on going to pay 4 thousand dollars. So I’m stuck paying more than the car is worth unbelievable. Don’t buy BMWs because it’s only a matter of time before your valves go bad as they use plastic parts throughout the engine.

BMW Serpa, in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada - has the most unprofessional serv
BMW Serpa, in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada - has the most unprofessional service provider that are more oriented towards how much money they can get out of your pocket (Consumer) before they decide if they will provide you with WHAT GRADE of Service or if they will decide to provide you with a Car for your use while your BMW is in service. BMW Serpa has gone from being low class BMW service Center to the being Most Unprofessional and most horrible place to take your BMW for service or less even to buy your next BMW. They will wipe your feet if you are trying to Buy Your Next BMW, but the minute the funds have exchanged hands, you are in the Doom Land - They do not know you any more. Now only money will talk - if you spend more money at their service desk, then you will get a LOANER CAR - if your work is under the Warranty, then you will be told sorry we do not have any LOANER at this point but we will try our best to get you one very soon. WELL, THE SOON WILL NEVER COME!!!!!!!I bought my BMW X5 from BMW Serpa in Newmarket, Ontario and soon after the driving became kind of rough engine sound and driving experience. Well I called BMW Serpa and was asked to come-on in for service. Well I took my X5 in for service and filed the report with the Service of Engine running rough that was covered under the WARRANTY. First I was asked to pay $158 for Diagnostic check, which I did and asked for a Loaner Car - But was told they had none available at this point (DAY #1).After 2 days and ME Calling them to get update on my BMW, I was told that the Spark Plugs need to reset and they are good and X% running fine now. I picked up the BMW and drove home that late Evening (Day #3) - Well I do not what the hell BMW Serpa did, but the car did not run smooth and was giving the same engine trouble as before. The next morning (DAY # 4) I took my car back to BMW Serpa and filed the same complaint and report of Engine Running Rough, Still giving NO LOANER CAR. Next day (DAY # 5) I did not receive any call from BMW SERPA. (DAY # 6) I called BMW Serpa and request for the service department and was given the Voice Mail and so left a message for them to call me. Well No Calls were received. NOW I AM WITHOUT A CAR for 4 Days. Finally I went to BMW SERPA and spoke to the Owner of the events that took place and Unprofessional Approach of the Service Department of his BMW SERPA.Well, during my visit to BMW Serpa, the service agent said he was going to call me today and that my BMW X5 had some Engine problem and they need to order various engine parts to get them changed that will be done in 4 -5 days. They still did not have any Loaner car for me. WOW! By gods Grace I was called by the service agent and said to come and pick up the LOANER CAR the Next day (DAY # 7).Well the 5 days that was told for repair of my BMW X5 by BMW Serpa was really 14 days. And NO SIR, I did not get any update calls as stated by BMW CANADA (Service Promise to Customers). It was me who was calling BMW SERPA at all time to get update on my car. Well finally after had received NO CALLS from BMW Serpa for 4 days, I called them on Friday Early Afternoon and was told, OH! The papers just came from the service desk, and that they were about to call me as my BMW X5 was ready, but as they were putting the paperwork together, they will call me in few minutes. The few minutes really was few hours. I received call back from BMW SERPA at 17:30 hours and was asked to pick my BMW and it was all tested and ready to go. Well I picked my BMW next day and drove home.Well, the BMW X5 started with same engine trouble within 24 hours of bringing it home from BMW Serpa after having it repaired and tested by the BMW SERPA Service Department. I called the Service Department on Tuesday (DAY # 18) and was attended by Female Service Agent and said she will ask the other Service agent working with me to call me in One Hour. WELL, NO Sir! No calls were received and Next day I called back in the Morning and was asked for Voice Box. I refused and asked to be put on hold until the Service Agent was free to speak to me. After 18 minutes on Hold, he answered and took down my complaint and asked me to drive the BMW back to BMW SERPA, which I refused as it was not safe and asked to arrange Tow to bring the car to Service at BMW SERPA. At 12:16 hours the Tow truck arrived and I went with the Tow truck to BMW SERPA. On arrival, I spoke to the agent at the service desk and was told that I should wait for the service agent who was dealing with me and was on lunch at this point. Also instead to asking me to wait in the waiting area, was told to go for lunch and come back. Well I decided to just wait there as the time was 12:30 hours and I was told the agent will be back at 13:00 hours. At 13:25 hours I went back to the service agent and asked when the other agent was expected back from lunch and was told very soon. So after 30 minute later than what I was told, the agent arrived and at 13:47 hours he came to me and asked for my BMW KEY. At 14:25 hours he came back and said the fuel in the car was only good for 6 KM before empty, I said that was not true and took him to the car and after starting the car, showed him that the car showed still good for another 68KM before reserve (He was trying to put the engine trouble on lack of fuel in the car). Well at 14:38, the agent drove the car to the service line and spoke to the BMW service supervisor to look into the X5 and get it diagnostic tested. Again I was told in few minutes it will be all done and ready to go. This was at 14:55 hours. Finally at 15:45 hours I again approached the service desk and asked for any update was told, OH! I was about to come to you, the problem was in the spark plugs, and as they do not have all the required plugs the car will be ready the next day by late morning.NEXT DAY NOW - I waited for a call from BMW SERPA - But No calls - so as always I called them and again left a Message for them to call me back. No Call back and neither I have any transport at this point. So I called them back and again I demanded to be put on hold, until the service agent was ready to speak to me, In 7 minutes I was speaking to my service agent, who said - he had no idea what was going on, but will find out and get back to me in 10 minutes. Well this time he did call in 10 mins and told me now the spark plugs were okay, but the problem was still existing and that the team was working on the electrical system now, so I said it was all covered under the Warranty and he said YES it was and so I asked for a LOANER CAR and he said they had NO LOANER CAR and he cannot be sure as to when he will have a loaner for me. Also he was unsure as to how long it will take for my BMW X5 to be ready or what was going on.I was once again, left hanging with No CAR, No proper information, No Details on how long the fix will take and neither any words of professional courtesy of what will happen to all my work meetings and my transportation. I had changed from AUTOHAUS BMW to BMW SERPA about 8 months back after 9 years of being a BMW AUTOHAUS customer (Happy One), as the BMW SERPA was closer to my house. But I do regret going to BMW SERPA and am most disappointed in the level of service provided by this BMW SERPA in Newmarket, Ontario, CANADA. Be Smart and stay away from BMW SERPA. Unless you like giving away your money with NO Accountability at all with this service provider, BMW SERPA. Best to go to other BMW Dealer! BMW SERPA = UNPROFESSIONAL.

I purchased this vehicle brand new. During the warranty period, there were issues that were resolved. However, at only 67k miles the car is no longer under warranty and starting to fall apart. My problems have been a bad blower motor, steering angle sensor and water pump. Its unfortunate that BMW strives on quality when their vehicles cannot reach 100k. From my experience, BMW is overrated and their customer service is even worse.
