2026 BMW 7-Series

The 2026 BMW 7-Series stands as BMW’s flagship full-size luxury sedan, designed for buyers who want the ultimate combination of comfort, technology, refinement, performance, and presence in a single package. It competes with the best in the executive luxury class, offering spacious interiors, advanced features, powerful engines, and a ride quality tailored for serene highway travel. At its core, the 7-Series represents what many consider the premium business sedan — one that delivers effortless refinement for both drivers and passengers alike.

Design & Exterior Identity

The 2026 BMW 7-Series presents a stately and modern exterior built to command attention:

Elegant proportions: A long wheelbase, balanced stance, and crisp surfaces give the 7-Series an imposing yet refined presence.

Signature BMW styling: The iconic kidney grille, slim adaptive headlights, and precise body lines reflect the brand’s design language while signaling premium intent.

Aerodynamic details: Thoughtful sculpting and smooth transitions minimize drag while enhancing both style and high-speed stability.

Subtle sophistication: The overall aesthetic is timeless rather than trendy, designed to age gracefully and feel appropriate in executive environments.

The 7-Series conveys prestige and confidence whether parked at a corporate entrance or cruising on the open road.

Powertrain & Performance

Performance in the 2026 7-Series is engineered for effortless acceleration and refined power delivery:

Range of powertrains: The 7-Series offers a spectrum of engines, from efficient turbocharged inline options to higher-output V8 and possible hybrid configurations. These provide smooth and ample power across the rev range, prioritizing refinement as much as performance.

Automatic transmission: A multi-gear automatic transmission ensures seamless power delivery, crisp shifts, and minimal response delay.

Drive configurations: Rear-wheel drive is standard in many trims for a classic BMW feel, while available all-wheel drive enhances traction and stability across diverse conditions.

The powertrain lineup is tuned more for smooth, effortless motion and controlled authority than raw sportiness — befitting a flagship sedan.

Driving Dynamics & Comfort

The 7-Series blends luxury comfort with controlled dynamics:

Adaptive suspension: Sophisticated suspension systems tailor damping and ride characteristics to road conditions and chosen driving mode, smoothing out imperfections and maintaining composure.

Steering refinement: Steering feel is calibrated to balance confident feedback with serene cruising stability.

Quiet cabin: Acoustic engineering significantly reduces wind, road, and engine noise, creating a hushed interior ideal for conversations or relaxation.

Long-distance comfort: The 7-Series is fundamentally designed for comfort on extended journeys, ensuring that drivers and passengers arrive refreshed even after long trips.

The result is a sedan that feels composed, confident, and serene, even at higher speeds.

Interior Luxury & Technology

Inside, the 2026 BMW 7-Series delivers an unmatched luxury experience:

Premium materials: High-grade leathers, fine wood trims, metal accents, and soft-touch surfaces create a cabin that feels special in every detail.

Spacious seating: Generous legroom, headroom, and ergonomic design ensure comfort for all occupants, with particular emphasis on rear-seat luxury.

Advanced seating features: Heated, ventilated, and massaging seats — often with multiple adjustable settings — enhance comfort on every journey.

Ambient refinement: Interior lighting, refined trim choices, and attention to ergonomic detail make the cabin both luxurious and inviting.

The interior is designed to feel like a serene sanctuary — equally suitable for executive travel or weekend cruising.

Technology & Connectivity

The 7-Series integrates state-of-the-art technology to enhance both convenience and passenger engagement:

Digital instrument panel: A configurable display gives the driver clear and elegant access to speed, navigation, and system information.

Central infotainment system: A large, responsive interface connects navigation, media, climate, comfort settings, and vehicle preferences via intuitive touch or controller inputs.

Smartphone integration: Wireless connectivity for calls, apps, maps, and media keeps occupants connected.

Rear-seat entertainment: Available systems include screens, media controls, and connectivity options for rear passengers, contributing to the comfort of those being driven.

Technology in the 7-Series enhances usability without distracting from the luxury experience.

Safety & Driver Assistance

The 2026 BMW 7-Series features an advanced suite of safety and driver assistance systems designed to enhance confidence and peace of mind:

Adaptive cruise control: Helps maintain safe distances and reduces fatigue on highway travel.

Lane-guidance systems: Support stable, centered driving at sustained speeds.

Automatic emergency braking: Adds mitigation support during sudden traffic events.

Blind-spot and cross-traffic monitoring: Enhance awareness in congested conditions or when maneuvering.

These systems are designed to assist smoothly and intuitively, contributing to both comfort and safety.

Strengths of the 2026 BMW 7-Series

Executive-class comfort: Spacious seating and luxurious materials make every ride refined and relaxing.

Effortless performance: Smooth power delivery and responsive transmission create a composed driving experience.

Modern tech integration: Digital displays, connectivity features, and entertainment systems elevate the experience.

Serene ride quality: Adaptive suspension and acoustic insulation contribute to quiet, calm travel.

Prestigious presence: Timeless design and premium details reinforce its flagship status.

Trade-offs & Considerations

Premium ownership costs: Maintenance, insurance, and options reflect its flagship positioning.

Size considerations: Its large sedan footprint may feel less maneuverable in tight urban spaces compared with smaller vehicles.

Fuel consumption: Powerful engines and luxury mass mean fuel economy is generally lower than smaller sedans or electrified alternatives.

Ride firmness in sport settings: Adaptive systems tuned for sport modes can feel firmer than comfort-focused rivals.

Who the 2026 BMW 7-Series Is Best For

The 2026 BMW 7-Series is ideal for buyers who:

Want a flagship luxury sedan with a presence befitting executive life.

Value spacious, refined comfort for both driver and passengers.

Appreciate modern connectivity and advanced features paired with traditional luxury.

Seek a vehicle for both daily travel and long-distance journeys.

Prefer a combination of prestige, comfort, and composed performance.

Bottom Line

The 2026 BMW 7-Series continues to embody what many consider the essence of the luxury flagship sedan. It brings together elegant design, advanced technology, refined performance, and supreme comfort into a cohesive and compelling package. Whether used for executive transport, daily commuting in style, or extended highway cruising, the 7-Series delivers an experience focused on serenity, capability, and premium refinement — making it a benchmark choice in full-size luxury sedans today.

We bought a used 2007 550I from Momentum Southwest Houston BMW. It were all lies from the start. The salesman tells us the car has to have special tires, which were on the car and they installed 2 of them. On the test drive, the salesman would not show us how to use the paddle shifters SMG 6 speed. After 6 weeks of begging for a manual and spare key, we finally got a manual and key which we had to pay for. The paddle shifters do not work, as well as the driver seat thigh support motor. One cold 40 degree morning, the check engine light comes on. When my wife got home, I put my scan tool on it. The thermostat is bad stuck open and we took it to dealer as we bought warranty. The warranty company says it does not cover all pre-existing conditions. I talked to the GM at the dealer and they offered to replace the seat motor and repair the paddle shifters for free. While it was there, they call and tell us that all front and rear control arms are bad and needed to be replaced. With an alignment of roughly $2100, I told them Ill take care of the thermostat and suspension. I install lift kits in trucks for a living, and the parts for MOOG are cheaper, but the dealer wants $1800 for parts. MOOG parts at retail are $249.00, I can do the math. We can take it back there for alignment if they dont try to jerk us around for something else. I wont probably buy another one. What a **. We drive off the lot, it depreciates and needs $5000.00 worth of repairs before we get it home.

For the past 6 months I have been experiencing problems with my iPhone 5S and my bluetooth. It has been at the dealer (Budds BMW, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada) no less than 6 times to address this issue. The service manager has witnessed the problem and has escalated the problem to BMW Canada and furthered the issue to Germany. Finally, BMW claims to have duplicated the issue and tell me that it is only on certain models of the X5. In any case, the dealer has been reasonable in providing me with a courtesy car while my X5 has been in their shop even though it has been a huge inconvenience to me.Please note, at BMWs insistence I have replaced 2 iPhone 5s and invested all the time necessary to make these changes. I am in corporate sales and rely heavily on the use of my phone while driving. I have chosen apple for all of my products (MacBook, iPhone a number of chargers (6) also the convenience of the icloud)..... especially Siri that allows me to concentrate on driving while Siri reads and dictates my emails and text messages safely. BMW has told me that my only option is to switch to an Android platform phone. They have given this proposal as a take it or leave it. Android phones do not offer a fraction of the features that an iPhone does. I asked BMW Canada when they will have the bluetooth issue resolved. Their reply was that they were working on it with Apple but they did not know when. BMW claims that they cannot be responsible for keeping up with manufacturers software (assuming that is the case, please consider..... of the courtesy BMWs provided by them to me the dealer, I have not experienced one single issue with the bluetooth using the same phone.) In closing, I confess to enjoying my X5 very much; however, this bluetooth issue renders my vehicle unusable given the importance of my phone while driving. Here in Ontario, it is against the law to operate your vehicle without handsfree. I have spoken with both the dealer and BMW Canada that I am not unreasonable and would consider moving to a similar vehicle along with accepting there would be an additional cost involved that should be shared by all parties. I remain open to suggestions/options but BMW is only offering a take it or leave it regarding a change to an Android device. They are not willing to entertain anything else. Regarding the Android device...... I will leave it. My family and friends all drive premium vehicles and are watching the way BMW is dropping the ball. Switch your phone as your only option...... Are you kidding me?!!!!

Luckily there was a bend in the road and I was going uphill. I went off the road (not by my doing). A non-event. BMW acknowledged there was a software issue. I sold the SUV immediately! I took my brand new BMW to the dealer for a car wash. It was significantly scratched. The dealer Unilaterally decided it wasn’t them. I called BMW North America and reported the issue. The dealer Downtown BMW of Denver sales manager called me, yelled at me and now I am banned from having my car serviced there altogether. Bmw North America told me they were sorry but there was nothing they can do. Each dealer is owned individually. So now may car has significant damage and I can no longer have it washed as I was promised with my maintenance package.I bought the car at Schomp. I purchased the protectant package which I paid $700 for to find out it wasn’t applied. They are refusing to refund my money even though at this point I can’t have the protectant applied because the car is so damaged. Essentially bmw doesn’t care about their customers. They just want To sell cars and once they do you better hope you don’t have any issues because they don’t stand behind their promises.

I have a 2011 BMW 528i Sedan. Bought as a CPO, with factory warranty for about a year remaining at the time of purchase. From the beginning, I have noticed that trying to brake moderately quickly at low speeds (10 - 20 MPH) would create a very bad clunk from the front-end. Trying to reapply the brake quickly while the car is starting to roll (driving off) will cause a smaller clunk and a very noticeable vibration of the whole body of the car. Dealer replaced the thrust-rod bushings in the front, but that did not fix it.Later, the dealer (perhaps under instructions from BMW?) started claiming that the clunk was normal, since it was found in other 5-series cars!! They would simply not regard the fact that other BMW cars dont exhibit the same problem, and heck, even the non-luxury cars from Honda / Toyota / Nissan / Hyundai / GM / Ford etc. etc. dont exhibit this problem!!Now I am close to the expiration of factory warranty. In the last month or so, I have started noticing a metallic knock from the rear axle area when braking at 15-20 MPH speed, a clicking noise from the front passenger door while slowing down, various creaks/squeaks from various parts of the body at random while driving, unusually heavy rattling from the driver and front passenger doors/windows on rough pavement...I have taken the car to the dealer for these various noises, and the dealer has not been able to replicate these noises, other than just one rattle from the coin box. A LOT OF PROBLEMS, in one sentence. To make matters worse, MOST of the things outside the power-train seem to be excluded under the BMW CPO warranty. I am not really sure what to do, as the factory warranty is about to expire in just two weeks..

I purchased a new 2007 BMW 116i 5-door in June 2009. I am a good BMW owner with regular service, etc. I had no problems until March 2013. The oil light came on, smoke was coming out of the tail pipe upon turning car on, and the car also idles funny (jugging). The service technicians and manager have given many reasons. The car only has 34,000 km driven for just under 4 years. To date, the car is still giving me problems. The local BMW SAID they contacted BMW Corporation for goodwill and help, but to no avail... the car problems still persist. I just had regular car service. I do not drive the car so as not to aggravate the problem. I felt that I was spending $$$ for quality and good name. What do I do now??? Not sure! Are there any other BMW owners having this or similar problems? Any suggestions on what to do???

I am leasing a 2017 BMW 330i BMW. I really like my BMW car. On Sunday July the 30th my daughter and her daughter three month old baby girl were in the back seat in my BMW. My daughter ask if I would stop her Wendys at 3041 Headland Dr. When my daughter got out of the car to go into Wendys her daughter was asleep. I was sitting in the first seat on my phone. After about two minutes later I heard my granddaughter crying. I opened my door to get out and to get in the back seat with my three month old granddaughter. I shut the drivers door and went to open the back door and it was locked and went back to open the drivers door which I had just got out of and it was locked also. I checked all doors and they were all locked. I was devastated. My three month granddaughter was lock in the car and crying. I could not understand this at all because my keys to the car was still in the car and the car was still running. I was so upset, I ran into Wendys to tell my daughter and to ask for help. All this time my three month old granddaughter was in the car still crying really bad. My daughter and about six other people ran out of Wendys to my car to help. Because all doors were locked a young lady had to break the back window on the BMW for us to get the door open to get my granddaughter. We got my granddaughter out ok but she did have broken glass all over her from the young lady breaking the window. Your BMW Lover.

This problem has plagued the in-dash GPS since our purchase of the 2011 X3.
This problem has plagued the in-dash GPS since our purchase of the 2011 X3. The GPS, a $2000+ options, is inaccurate and unreliable. Its colorful appearance is appealing; its directions are consistently idiotic. If you follow its suggestions, you will backtrack, adding unnecessary time and miles to your trip. The worst instance: In returning to PA from FL last summer, we were traveling North on the FL Turnpike, North of Miami. The GPS wanted us to exit the Turnpike, head west and south on the Sawgrass Expressway, and circle around, get back on the Turnpike, and retrace our course. If we had followed that route (which we knew enough not to) it would have added more than 50 miles to the trip. Locally, making a short (30 mile) trip that I do often, the GPS wants me to go North several miles on a side street, than head South on a four-lane surface road, connecting at an intersection that I would have encountered almost immediately if I had turned South instead of North on that side road. It doesnt matter which setting the GPS (fastest, shortest, etc.) was on, the directions are equally bad. My Garman, at a fraction of the cost, is reliable and almost eerily accurate on setting arrival times. The BMWs arrival time is a wild guess, usually off by 1/3 or 1/2 the total driving time. Repeated complaints and visits to our Dealership has accomplished nothing. The problem is with the manufacturer, and BMW is either unwilling or unable to correct the deficiencies. It is my contention that if BMW cannot offer a GPS commensurate with the price, it should not be offered until a reliable product befitting of the brand is available.

BMW Financial has various rates at various times when shopping for a car. So make sure you take your time, then jump on your auto of choice when you can get a good interest rate. The website for BMW Fi is NOT user friendly. Every time you want to get online you need to ask for a code. Then hopefully enter the code in the time allowed, or you will start over. The courtesy and friendliness of BMW Fi can be a lot better than it is. Overall, I would certainly not recommend them, but this is what is offered at the dealership. Ive had 3 car loans with them and they are all problematic in one way or another.

I was driving my 2013 BMW 328xi with family in Toronto in busy traffic on Nov 1, 2014 & suddenly the cars engine stops and all power features stop working. I managed to glide the car to the curve amidst busy traffic switching lanes with my hazard on and barely averting a collision. The dashboard monitor stated something about the start/stop ignition. I attempted to start the car and it would turn briefly but would not start. After several attempts I called BMW roadside assistance. After being left on hold sometime, I was advised a tow truck would arrive at 5:50 pm, it was 4:30 pm. I advised them the car was not safe as the busy road was full of fast moving traffic on Mount Pleasant North of Moore. The individual at the call center claimed he could not do anything. I called my older son to pick up my wife & son with hockey gear and shopping.Exactly at around 5:50 pm a flat bed tow truck arrived with we buy scrap cars inscribed on the truck (not kidding). The tow truck driver attempted to start the car and mentioned he was unable to put the car in neutral. He asked it could damage the car if he pulled it onto the truck. I again called BMW roadside assistance and the individual (now supervisor) asked I sign a waiver to take responsibility for any damage caused by their towing. I refused and the man was argumentative. The Tow truck driver suggested another tow truck with rollers and stated he would not take responsibility without a waiver. Another hour passed before the next tow truck arrived. It was a cold evening in Toronto and I asked BMW roadside assistance if they could shuttle me home after the car was towed. I was told I need to go with the tow truck. Upon arriving at the dealership it was closed and the security mentioned there was nowhere for me to wait. (No news yet from roadside assistance.) By this time I had chatted prior with BMW roadside assistance individuals in Chicago, Toronto, Florida and Winnipeg (they kept transferring me). The Winnipeg girl finally called a taxi while I waited for another hour in the cold (I could have called a taxi or got a ride myself if they had not insisted I stay with the car earlier). I had to pay for the taxi anyhow and was provided a budget of $100 after I asked. The Winnipeg girl stated they may reimburse me and she would email info. (The email arrived two days later with completely different information.) No courtesy car. I must say the roadside assistance (call center) experience was poor. I had to call several times and often they would place me on hold or they just hung up after 20-30 min on hold. They kept sending electronic voice messages asking if things had been taken care, while I was telling them they had not. A couple of women were good but did not have answers and they even gave the wrong information about rental cars claiming none were available in the entire City of Toronto. To end my evening, the taxi driver turned out to be a racist maniac from Beck Taxi. I told him to stop at Yonge and Lawrence, I paid him (he insisted on cash as his machine was in the trunk). I ran over to Starbucks and waited for a ride home back to Bathurst and Eglinton. What a nightmare! The dealer was excellent and they fixed the problem in two business days. However the same new car also had a brake problem a couple of months prior and cost $1,200 for new brakes (the downtown Toronto dealer claimed it was not covered under warranty at 30,000 km). The car had speedometer problem and showed service was overdue (at minus -7000 km), the car had been serviced a couple of months prior. Luckily this one is a leased car, however after driving BMWs for the past 10-12 years I am concerned the new 3 Series appear to have problems. I hope they take note and sort out the problems.

Was recently informed by BMW they are no longer supporting BMW ASSIST which is a feature that INCLUDED (past tense) collision detection as well as stolen vehicle recovery along with other functionality such as being able to send Google directions to the vehicle. My X5 is a 2012 (!) vehicle!!! With all the BS advertising BMW has out there about how great their cars are and how safety is a great concern for their customers, trying to get an answer other than we are sorry for any disappointment this may cause you is totally and complete BS!The manner I found out about their decision to stop supporting these features is not because I purchased one of their vehicles (brand new) but because I noticed the ability to send directions to my vehicle was not working. Pretty pathetic manner to manage customer loyalty. BUYER BEWARE if buying a used BMW... UNDERSTAND CLEARLY your vehicle based on whatever year it may be (2013 BACK...??!) will not have important safety features such as collision detection nor stolen vehicle recovery... period. If I had not purchased an extended warranty to 100 K miles I would be selling this thing ASAP. Will be a cold day in hell before I purchase another vehicle from this company.

E46 BMW M3 - I am having nightmares with my M3, SMG gear box. The fault icon came on. I took the car to a BMW dealership. They kept it for 2 weeks, said the clutch was contaminated and that air was in the hydraulic system. It was fixed at a cost of 3800+. I collected the car, and it broke down the same evening, with the same complaint after driving about 20 miles. A call was placed to the dealership, who informed me that I would have to get it back to their garage on my own, as they do not do recovery. I had just spent 3800+ with this dealership. I got the car there and they said that they found air in the hydraulic system. It was bled, road tested and returned after 3 days. The M3 broke down again (and is presently at the dealership), after driving 3000 miles, with the same problem with the SMG box. The dealership is saying that its the same symptom, but different problem. They are now saying that its the hydraulic pump. I am now facing an additional bill of 2800. My questions are: 1. Whats the life span of an M3 hydraulic pump? 2. Is there an inherent fault with the BMW M3 SMG gear box? 3. Have others experience the same problems with BMW SMG boxes? 4. Is it true, that BMW only guarantee a life span of 12 yrs for the M3?5. How can I make a claim against BMW for selling a defect ultimate machine?

I am very disappointed in my pre-owned certified vehicle. The resolution offered to me is not appreciated by me. Please any feedback is welcomed.

I purchased a used 328i from BMW of Columbia in Columbia SC. The first year I took it back for so many reasons. It was unbelievable. Yet it was suppose to be certified pre-owned. I have fibromyalgia and it was very frustrating for me. I lost all confidence in the car. I have depression, anxiety, and the car when bought only had 24,000 miles. The problems I had was not call for with a BMW.

To begin with, I have on six BMWs in my life. I purchased a brand-new 428i BMW from Flow BMW in Winston Salem, North Carolina. I have had the car for six months and it had 4000 miles on it. I am a single person and have only had three people in my passenger seat since owning the car. The leather started wearing terribly especially on the side bolster. I took it to the service department, as I was told to do, and spoke with the warranty guy. He informed me that BMW does not cover their leather under any kind of warranty. I calmly explained to him that only three people have been in the passenger seat and that the driver seat, which I get in and out of numerous times on a daily basis, was in perfect condition. His response was it only takes one time for something to happen! This really upset me especially him knowing that I have been such a loyal customer and took such excellent care of my vehicles. Not to mention that I have spent thousands of dollars at that dealership and my family has also. So, there I was with a six month old car and torn leather in the passenger seat. Oh I was not a happy camper. After having read all of these complaints about BMW my question is has their quality started to fail? And why do they get such condescending people to work at their dealerships? He couldve been much nicer to me instead of treating me like a second-class citizen. I know for a fact that other car companies that are not considered a luxury car manufacturer warranty their stitching and leather, so it leaves one to wonder. I started to take this higher to BMW USA, but I knew I was fighting a losing battle. I suppose it is what it is but Im still very unhappy!

Fuel pump replaced after warranty due to it spraying fuel all over me and the motorcycle. Flange area of pump cracked. This year BMW recalls pump for cracking, says it will reimburse if you replaced with BMW part and have receipt supplied. I had both and then they say no. Asked for written reason why refusal and they say they didnt have to. Customer service is the worst. This is the second time this motorcycle has tried to kill me. The rear disc brake rotor carrier broke letting the rear disc rotor lock up my rear wheel causing the motorcycle to skid out of control. Filed this complaint with traffic administration. Replaced part. New part is now made out of steel. Old one was aluminum.

I bought a BMW 5 series. I Started having problems with a Misfire and shakes in the wheel and wiper issues along with navigation and AC issues. I reported all these issues before the end of the Manufacturers warranty which would have covered all these repairs. During that time I was told nothing wrong. Brought it back again and they said nothing wrong. Of course after the warranty expires, the first time I brought it back they found the issue. They had me to pay for all these experiments to solve the problems and now in my pocket about $3000. In all this time I stressed that I shouldnt have to pay because its ongoing repairs that should have been fix but never was. They still insisted on my paying for all repairs. That have not stand up to the warranty and did not do anything to my satisfaction. At the moment I am risking my life every moment I am on the highway because when Im switching lanes, I get stuck in slow motion most times and this can cause the car approaching from behind to collide and cause very serious damages or DEATH. BMW does not care even though I stressed these concerns every time. STAY AWAY FROM ALL BMWs!!!

I have had a terrible experience with this 7 series. This car jerks at times giving me a Drive Train Malfunction and the car becomes extremely unstable. This has happened 2 - 3 times already since I bought this car. Service Center (BMW Murray Motors - Denver) says Fuel Injectors are bad and so this issue. They replace Fuel injectors and the problem comes back after 2 months. Extremely dissatisfied and angry. I am paying too much money every month and have no peace of mind. In addition to this issue I have had other issues as well. My first impression Car: Terrible Car. Please do not buy BMW!!!

Every time took the car to them for service had to bring it back for something else. My car been to them over 30 times. Last time they kept for 7 months to fix the passing of state emission test. My car had less than 50.000 miles all that time. The body was damaged and rust spots all over it from their underground garage and lost my key. l can go on on with this. And contacted BMW North America, theyre even worse by misleading advertisement for the make of the ultimate pure JUNK. THEY NEED TO OWN UP TO THAT!!!!!

They are not giving us any estimation as of when this piece will be ready but minimum it could be another month! And in the meantime not compensation for the lease payments while we are waiting for that piece from BMW! It is unbelievable that BMW leases cars that they dont have the all the spare parts available and they expect customers to continue renting a car until its ready! Over 3 months or more... Also their customer services is appalling! They dont bother to even be nice or understanding of the situation.

Two weeks ago we had great pleasure in taking BMW Arden to the small claims court. My daughters 18 month old BMW had a faulty wishbone arm. It should have been repaired under warranty but she had to pay the insurance excess of £395. We had a small win as BMW had to pay it back. I know it wasnt much but at the end of the day it was the principle. Here is how it began: BMW Series 1. On 17 September 2017 my daughter Sam stopped at traffic lights to turn right into the Esso garage. When the lights changed, she moved slowly away, at this point the wishbone arm snapped causing her to catch the car in front. A passing mechanic who has his own garage examined the car and said it had issues. The only marks on her car was a small dent and scratch as the photos show. We sent photos to an online mechanic, he said that slight knock would not have caused the wishbone arm to snap. Her insurance company transported the car to their garage in Ashford. A couple of days later BMW asked Sam if they could take it to BMW Arden to undergo repairs as it was still under warranty. When she collected her car a month later, she was shocked when she had to pay her insurance excess of £395.00, she’d been told it was being repaired under warranty. It is apparent that at no time Ageas the insurance company inspected the vehicle. A letter dated 6th March 2018 states “I have reviewed our Audatex report from Arden Maidstone repairers who have not advised in their comments on the engineers report that the drive shaft snapped due to wear and tear or due to being faulty. Had they seen the car then they would have known it was the wishbone arm and not the driveshaft. They also wouldn’t have had to ask BMW what caused it to snap!We wrote and complained to BMW Arden, BMW Customer Services and the Ombudsman. They all said the insurance company carried out the repair so you have to pay. Her authorized repair company in Ashford did not do the repair, BMW Arden did and then invoiced the insurance company for £4550,09. Our mechanic said the cost should have been no more than £500. A solicitor advised me the onus of responsibility lay with Arden BMW, she said the insurance company was just doing their job.On July 6th, 2018 I wrote a final letter to Gary ** the assistant service manager at BMW Arden, His last email said, “The possible cause of the broken wishbone arm was wear and tear.” At the time my daughter’s car was 18 months old with under 7000 on the clock, so how could it have been wear and tear? We believe it had a faulty wishbone arm from new or it was in an accident when it was delivered to Arden Maidstone.

Although it was minor, it could be felt and didnt want BMW to charge me when I turn in my lease. Went to South Motors BMW to tell them about the problem. The first service guy was an idiot who said that I should have bring up the problem earlier and that it was too late. Upset with this, I emailed BMW of NA included VIN, name, photos, and description.Within a week, I got a call from my the person who sold me that car saying that he was so sorry and to bring in the car for another look. I went back and was met by my salesman and service manager. He took photos and ordered the new part which they installed a week later. Apart from the first idiot service guy. I want to thank both BMW of NA, my salesman and the service manager for resolving this problem in a quick and responsible matter. On my 4th BMW and very satisfied. Car has been flawless since.

I chose BMW S3 because, although roomy enough for my family of five, it still feels more sporty than mini SUV. I love the sunroof, the leather seats, and other features that make it feel like a true luxury vehicle with great engineering. However, I dont like that maintenance and repair can be very costly. Also, the ride is a little jarring, and not as smooth as I would like. Nevertheless, I have really enjoyed driving my car. The control, and, road handling are amazing. Awesome car to drive. I am on my 4th BMW. But this will be my last. My current car is a 335i. I need a footwear module. I cannot drive the car because of this part needs replaced. I contacted BMW because my car is just out of the warranty. Now mind you BMW extended this warranty because this part was defective. So knowing that asking for any help to cover the cost seemed reasonable. My car has 60k. Its a 2010. The warranty is 10 years 156k. I was told BMW wont help not one penny. Because of the age. Now owning 4 of these cars. I cant even begin to tell you the amount of money I have spent on repairs over the years. So now knowing I have to eat this cost. I am told 30-60 day to even get the part. So thanks BMW. I wont have a car to drive till I can get this handled. So once this puppy is fixed. I WILL BE TRADING IT IN! This is the last BMW I will own.

BMW X1 is absolutely ** car. I am regretting the day I bought BMW -X1 20D from Navnit Motors. It has given me more grief than pleasure, and the guys I bought it from dont even have the basic courtesy to get back to me or call me or reply to my email; attitude stinks, they sell the car and forget about it. Thats the attitude Navnit and its staff has; go to hell. I bought an XI -20d last year, Invoice no ** dated 21-3-12 from Navnit Motors in Narain Pro Audio Lighting Pvt Ld and I have driven less than 3000 km. from 21st April 2012 till 21st March 2013 as the car is still in BMW repair center and I have driven here 6-7 times to my bungalow in Lonavala. I hardly use this car in Mumbai. The front wind shield glass got damaged sometime last year while cleaning the car on the passenger side. I had BMW secure and Navnit replaced the glass and charged me Rs 1500 but I lost no claims bonus plus the headache of traveling from Bhiwandi to Andheri to and fro and wasting my entire day, money and petrol. After that, both the 2 rear windows were not working and I sent the car to Navnit service station and it was stated that the motors need to be changed as they were defective, and the motors were replaced and its working okay now. I dont understand why the motors should break down so easily. This is obviously the case of substandard motors used. Now again the glass has broken on 19th March 2013,while cleaning the car at the same point as last time on passenger side. This is definitely a manufacturing defect. The toughened glass has to take a lot of abuse. Why should it break like this? It cannot even take the load of its own wiper. In discussions spanning almost 2 hours with Prakash **, I came to realize that both the left and right side wipers were different with different curvatures. Prakash stated that maybe a stone or flying object had hit the glass. I physically removed the wiper blade from its attachment and we checked that the lower part fitted on the car was touching the glass, where the crack had started. So we both arrived to the conclusion that the windshield was broken due to the wiper falling on the glass on the passenger side. Further, I let the wiper slip from my hands with its maximum inherent force to touch the glass at least 15 times on the drivers side but nothing happened to the glass. Why should it break the glass not once but twice on the same side and at the same point? A car of this quality is supposed to handle a lot of abuse and XI cannot even take the pressure of its own wiper which is absolutely ridiculous, obviously a drop test with several thousand times drop of the wiper on the windshield which ensures unbreakability by its own wiper is not taken or maybe the curvature of the wiper is such that it breaks the glass or maybe the padding is inadequate but I feel absolutely cheated by buying such a substandard productI am just too scared to even get my car washed or even take it out, for anyone on the street can just accidentally take the wiper up and put it down on the wind shield and the glass breaks again. When I called about the basic charge which was Rs 1500, I was told by Sameera that the charges are Rs 2500 and I would have to pay a couple of thousand more for rubber charges, and when I spoke to Miss ** in Service, I was told that Rs 1500 only need to be paid and not Rs 2500 as my insurance was done in March12 and the charges were hiked from April 2012. I am shocked that anything is quoted just to milk the customer more and there is no fixed policy of Navnit.Further, I had gone to the service station and met the head, Mr. Ravi **, and he was abrupt to the point of rudeness and he was just saying he had a meeting at 12:30 and had to leave and when I told him about the glass breaking twice on the same side and motors failing in almost a brand new car as it is driven less than 3000 km., he just said, It happens, and gave vague reasoning that electronic components like motors can fail without any rhyme or reason. I was zapped by his answer. Now these are high quality geared motors and the test method involves thousands of times to do up and down and 2 motors failing at the same time is not a coincidence and that, too, when we have hardly used the car and in less than a yearFor the record, I would like to state that my son or I personally drive the BMW and we dont let our driver touch the car and even the inside cleaning is done under my sons supervision as we dont hand over the keys to anyone excluding my son and myself. We treat it like a baby. I have been dealing with BMW such as Suchita/Pritesh/Kuber/ ameera,/Ashwini /Prakash (service), Miss **(service)/ Ravi (Service ) but none of them have even bothered to call back or answer my grievance. What precaution has been taken that the glass does not break yet again? I am thoroughly disgusted with the car and specially the attitude of the dealer and its staff. We bought the BMW x1 thinking that we would have a superior quality product but even a Nano costing 1/12 the price we paid would have been better. In my 33 years of driving spanning at least 30-32 different varieties and makes of cars, no glass has broken like this, not even once (wiper touching the glass) or motors damaged within 9 months of use and that too not once but twice, I would take this up on public forum and I am going to put this on all websites of manufacturers of BMWs rivals so that maximum people are aware of this if my concerns are not addressed as it is a clear case of selling me a substandard product and cheating.

I purchased a 2005 X5 last week that had been in two accidents from BMW of Oyster Bay located in Oyster Bay, Long Island. I traded in my Volvo XC90 towards purchase of the 2005 X5 grey color SUV. I brought the truck to my regular mechanic to get new front tires and my mechanic found and showed me the left and right front axles were shot and it was dangerous to drive the vehicle. So I replaced them, cost me $850 for parts alone plus labor. My mechanic also pointed out it needed lower ball joints and front control arms so I brought it back to the dealer and raised hell, How can you sell me a vehicle with all these problems? They sold me a piece of junk. They sold it to me for $16000 less my trade. I laid out 8402 dollars for the balance due. They are now fixing the vehicle and called me today to let me know they ordered air bag parts. They wont be in until Thursday. Also, I gave them a list of all the problems that have to be fixed. I was informed by the BMW dealership that my certified 2017 BMW X1 needed a motor mount replaced. The car has 30K miles and I had driven 5K in a little over a year that I owned the car. Have owned Chevys, Fords, Hondas, Lexus, Jeeps, but none of them compared to the Junk of a BMW. I thought Ford was the worst vehicle I have owned...until I decided to purchase The ultimate driving machine against the advice of my 5 uncles who are mechanics. Thought Why not see what these High class cars? I am now a believer that these cars are sold to wealthy people mostly who know nothing about cars other than the reputation they have amongst the wealthy. With under 100k I had a leaky valve cover gasket, which caused my ignition coils to go out and have to be replaced. After that repair the fuel pump needed replaced then following that the injectors needed replaced. Luckily for me, I bought the extended warranty and those repairs were covered. After it broke 100k miles I pulled out of my driveway and noticed a bunch of steam coming from under the hood. After further examination I found that BMW used a cheap assistance black piece of plastic literally comparable to the material a plastic straw from McDonalds is made out of. Well that cheap piece had crumbled. After repairing that problem, the check engine light came on again, from leaky valve cover again, fouling the ignition coils, again. Immediately following that repair... It has snowed and I was sitting in my car with the heater on, when a big plume of smoke came out from under the dash. I immediately shut the car off and located the problem. Hindsight I should have just let the car catch fire and burn to the ground. Turns out that there has been a slow drip coming from the cabin air filter, which dripped down behind the dash onto the heater fan, which made its way slowly down to the heater fan regulator and eventually made its way inside the regulator, which with a well engineered vehicle, should have just blown the fuse. Instead of the fuse blowing, the regulator grounded out melted the connector inside the regulator and melted the wires down to copper wire about 3 inches down the wire harness. When the repairs were finished, hooked the battery back up and started the car, went to look under the hood to check everything going out just to notice a ton of oil that was spewing out of my oil filter housing between the engine and housing. Oh yeah and heater doesnt work still. Next is the heater fan which had no sign of a short but is now fried too. For how great these cars are suppose to be, I would take it from someone who has a familiarity with working on vehicles. Buy Honda, Toyota, Acura, or Lexus. DO NOT BUY A BMW!! Unless you want to ride in a stylish unreliable Piece of Junk. It is fun to drive when it works. However being stranded on the side of the road, especially in a subfreezing climate sucks. I have had as many problems with this car than I have had with an old 1996 Honda Accord with 300k plus miles on it. Theres now only 112k on the BMW and I am driving the old Honda again. Even my 91 Honda crx with 160k miles has had fewer problems than this car. My BMW HAS even had more problems than my old 92 Ford 250 with 212k on it.If you have the money for a BMW, save yourself the headache and get a Lexus or Acura. I will never recommend a BMW to anyone. In fact I have kept 4 people at work from making the same mistake as me. When I get it fixed to drive again, I am getting rid of it. I will never own another nor do I recommend buying one, unless you like to spend thousands and thousands and thousands on repairs or you like to work on cars. The amount of money repairs and maintenance cost, a person could buy 2 cars instead of 1 BMW.

How was I supposed to know this when BMW never informed about the repossession or a deadline?

I bought a 2008 528xi from Virginia. Drove 8 hours back to New York no problem. The next day drove the car, low coolant lights appear. I drove to the dealer; they bleed the car and put coolant in the system. Day 3 check engine light appears on the dash not on the computer screen. I brought it back to dealer to hear I need a new water pump and thermostat (-1465) later. Day 4 I received back the car drove around, while in idle the engine malfunction screens comes up and smoke... Smh! I brought the car back to dealer they say it’s an air bubble locked in. So they bleed the car and did a software update. Ok, I drove the car for the low coolant signal to come back on! I call they say top it off with tapped water. I said okay calmly. Went to class came back coolant all over the street!!! Smh Whats Next???

I lease a $120,000 750xi and have had nothing but problems with this car. The car has been in the shop over 10 times including the recent 25 day trip where they replaced the engine!!! On a brand new 2016 lease never owned before. BMW refuses to make my payment for me. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. They lost my car once, one time gave me the car back with a flat tire. The list goes in. THE WORST COMPANY EVER.

I just bought my 2007 BMW 325ci about a week ago. I bought it 250 miles away from where I live. I was assured that it had all been inspected by BMW in Tri-Cities, WA and that it was in perfect shape. By Archibald Motors in Tri-Cities, I bought and paid for the car and drove home. It did not seem right on my 250 mile trip, but I thought I was just getting used to a different vehicle. Oh no that was not it, the fuel pump was bad. I called the dealership and they said that they knew it was leaking when I bought it! This is a BMW. There are reasons we put our lives in their hands. I am so fortunate to make it home without an incident. They did tell me to contact BMW in Boise and they would pay for the repairs and they have all done a beautiful job. My point is is that it should have never happened in the first place. I am 67 and it was a gift to myself. BMW should be more up to speed with their dealerships.

I purchased a 2011 X5 brand new from the factory back in 2011 and was experiencing some squeaking noises coming from the front end of the car. I complained to my servicing dealer about the problem back in 2011 or 2012 and they never took any action on the problem. However fast forward to 2013, the problem got worse and occurred on a frequent basis which was very embarrassing to me. In May of this year, my U-joint broke. My truck was down for about 2 1/2-3 weeks. During this time I complained about the squeaking noise as well. The U-joint was repaired; however, the truck was still making the squeaking noise. Took the truck back to the dealer for the noise. The truck was down again for about another 2 weeks. However the squeaking noise was still occurring. I took the truck back again but I was told by my service advisor he didnt hear the noise so I should record it when I hear it and email him the noise so that he could send it to the shop foreman. I did so and returned the truck to the dealer. The truck was down for another 2-3 weeks and when I got it back, the squeaks turned into a whining noise. In addition to the fact that I now had oil leaks. At this point, I took the truck back to the dealer and filed complaints with the BBB, Consumer Affairs in addition to contacting BMW N. America. I was told that due to the mileage and age of my truck that BMW was not liable for the issues I was having with my truck thus they would not provide me with a new vehicle or provide a sufficient monetary amount to buy out my finance contract, etc. I am very disappointed that a luxury vehicle has performed so poorly and BMW does not want to immediately take responsibility for a defective product. However they did offer me $2k for my inconvenience on the condition that I sign a confidentiality agreement which would release them of all responsibility of any issues I may have with my vehicle past present and future in addition to agreeing to not disclose the nature of my experience with the defects and failures of my vehicle.

My recommendation is to find another source to finance the purchase/lease of a BMW. Perhaps avoid the product altogether. I assumed a lease, 12 months remaining, in January of 2016. The original account/lessee had prepaid the lease including the applicable sales taxes due the original State of Registration - MA. I registered the vehicle in my home State of Maine where sales taxes on leased vehicles are paid in full upfront upon registration. At that time I informed BMW Financial Services (BMW) that I would be registering the vehicle in ME and therefore sales taxes prepaid and due MA for the remaining term of the lease would no longer apply. I made the argument then that the prepaid balance on the BMW lease account, relative to sales taxes collected for future remittance by BMW to MA, should be refunded to me, the new Lessee of the vehicle. I was told that BMW would stop billing MA sales taxes to the account upon receipt of documentation proving that the vehicle was now registered and titled in Maine. Any balance collected upfront for MA sales taxes and remaining on the account would only be refunded to me at the end of the lease term. As of today, BMW continues to bill me for MA sales taxes even though the vehicle has been registered in ME since January of 2016. I phoned BMW today to revisit this situation; their response was that nothing could be done because the account was originally prepaid. Sales taxes are due monthly on a lease in MA, they continue to bill, collect and pay MA sales taxes because that is how they do it. Sound like BS to you? At best this is an error BMW is unwilling to correct on behalf of a long standing customer with three finance accounts currently active with the Company. At worst it is outright fraud that they are collecting and pocketing taxes that are not due/payable to the State of MA. What is a BMW customer worth over their lifetime? Im not asking for a discount, Im asking to be refunded sales taxes that are being paid twice, once to the original State of MA and now to the Sate of Maine. We are talking about $600 versus over $300,000 in lifetime value of a BMW Customer. BMW is not willing to make an effort to make this right, what does that tell you about their commitment to customer service. They are willing to lose over $300,000 of customer value and avoid correcting a $600 error on behalf of a long standing customer.

BMW Serpa, in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada - has the most unprofessional service provider that are more oriented towards how much money they can get out of your pocket (Consumer) before they decide if they will provide you with WHAT GRADE of Service or if they will decide to provide you with a Car for your use while your BMW is in service. BMW Serpa has gone from being low class BMW service Center to the being Most Unprofessional and most horrible place to take your BMW for service or less even to buy your next BMW. They will wipe your feet if you are trying to Buy Your Next BMW, but the minute the funds have exchanged hands, you are in the Doom Land - They do not know you any more. Now only money will talk - if you spend more money at their service desk, then you will get a LOANER CAR - if your work is under the Warranty, then you will be told sorry we do not have any LOANER at this point but we will try our best to get you one very soon. WELL, THE SOON WILL NEVER COME!!!!!!!I bought my BMW X5 from BMW Serpa in Newmarket, Ontario and soon after the driving became kind of rough engine sound and driving experience. Well I called BMW Serpa and was asked to come-on in for service. Well I took my X5 in for service and filed the report with the Service of Engine running rough that was covered under the WARRANTY. First I was asked to pay $158 for Diagnostic check, which I did and asked for a Loaner Car - But was told they had none available at this point (DAY #1).After 2 days and ME Calling them to get update on my BMW, I was told that the Spark Plugs need to reset and they are good and X% running fine now. I picked up the BMW and drove home that late Evening (Day #3) - Well I do not what the hell BMW Serpa did, but the car did not run smooth and was giving the same engine trouble as before. The next morning (DAY # 4) I took my car back to BMW Serpa and filed the same complaint and report of Engine Running Rough, Still giving NO LOANER CAR. Next day (DAY # 5) I did not receive any call from BMW SERPA. (DAY # 6) I called BMW Serpa and request for the service department and was given the Voice Mail and so left a message for them to call me. Well No Calls were received. NOW I AM WITHOUT A CAR for 4 Days. Finally I went to BMW SERPA and spoke to the Owner of the events that took place and Unprofessional Approach of the Service Department of his BMW SERPA.Well, during my visit to BMW Serpa, the service agent said he was going to call me today and that my BMW X5 had some Engine problem and they need to order various engine parts to get them changed that will be done in 4 -5 days. They still did not have any Loaner car for me. WOW! By gods Grace I was called by the service agent and said to come and pick up the LOANER CAR the Next day (DAY # 7).Well the 5 days that was told for repair of my BMW X5 by BMW Serpa was really 14 days. And NO SIR, I did not get any update calls as stated by BMW CANADA (Service Promise to Customers). It was me who was calling BMW SERPA at all time to get update on my car. Well finally after had received NO CALLS from BMW Serpa for 4 days, I called them on Friday Early Afternoon and was told, OH! The papers just came from the service desk, and that they were about to call me as my BMW X5 was ready, but as they were putting the paperwork together, they will call me in few minutes. The few minutes really was few hours. I received call back from BMW SERPA at 17:30 hours and was asked to pick my BMW and it was all tested and ready to go. Well I picked my BMW next day and drove home.Well, the BMW X5 started with same engine trouble within 24 hours of bringing it home from BMW Serpa after having it repaired and tested by the BMW SERPA Service Department. I called the Service Department on Tuesday (DAY # 18) and was attended by Female Service Agent and said she will ask the other Service agent working with me to call me in One Hour. WELL, NO Sir! No calls were received and Next day I called back in the Morning and was asked for Voice Box. I refused and asked to be put on hold until the Service Agent was free to speak to me. After 18 minutes on Hold, he answered and took down my complaint and asked me to drive the BMW back to BMW SERPA, which I refused as it was not safe and asked to arrange Tow to bring the car to Service at BMW SERPA. At 12:16 hours the Tow truck arrived and I went with the Tow truck to BMW SERPA. On arrival, I spoke to the agent at the service desk and was told that I should wait for the service agent who was dealing with me and was on lunch at this point. Also instead to asking me to wait in the waiting area, was told to go for lunch and come back. Well I decided to just wait there as the time was 12:30 hours and I was told the agent will be back at 13:00 hours. At 13:25 hours I went back to the service agent and asked when the other agent was expected back from lunch and was told very soon. So after 30 minute later than what I was told, the agent arrived and at 13:47 hours he came to me and asked for my BMW KEY. At 14:25 hours he came back and said the fuel in the car was only good for 6 KM before empty, I said that was not true and took him to the car and after starting the car, showed him that the car showed still good for another 68KM before reserve (He was trying to put the engine trouble on lack of fuel in the car). Well at 14:38, the agent drove the car to the service line and spoke to the BMW service supervisor to look into the X5 and get it diagnostic tested. Again I was told in few minutes it will be all done and ready to go. This was at 14:55 hours. Finally at 15:45 hours I again approached the service desk and asked for any update was told, OH! I was about to come to you, the problem was in the spark plugs, and as they do not have all the required plugs the car will be ready the next day by late morning.NEXT DAY NOW - I waited for a call from BMW SERPA - But No calls - so as always I called them and again left a Message for them to call me back. No Call back and neither I have any transport at this point. So I called them back and again I demanded to be put on hold, until the service agent was ready to speak to me, In 7 minutes I was speaking to my service agent, who said - he had no idea what was going on, but will find out and get back to me in 10 minutes. Well this time he did call in 10 mins and told me now the spark plugs were okay, but the problem was still existing and that the team was working on the electrical system now, so I said it was all covered under the Warranty and he said YES it was and so I asked for a LOANER CAR and he said they had NO LOANER CAR and he cannot be sure as to when he will have a loaner for me. Also he was unsure as to how long it will take for my BMW X5 to be ready or what was going on.I was once again, left hanging with No CAR, No proper information, No Details on how long the fix will take and neither any words of professional courtesy of what will happen to all my work meetings and my transportation. I had changed from AUTOHAUS BMW to BMW SERPA about 8 months back after 9 years of being a BMW AUTOHAUS customer (Happy One), as the BMW SERPA was closer to my house. But I do regret going to BMW SERPA and am most disappointed in the level of service provided by this BMW SERPA in Newmarket, Ontario, CANADA. Be Smart and stay away from BMW SERPA. Unless you like giving away your money with NO Accountability at all with this service provider, BMW SERPA. Best to go to other BMW Dealer! BMW SERPA = UNPROFESSIONAL.

I have owned my 2013 BMW 535i for 7 years now and love the car! Great performance, looks and fuel efficiency. The water pump recently blew on it at 60K but I heard that is typically the ONLY thing that fails on this car. One major thing in 7 years... still love the car. Everything works flawlessly on the car and I often get comments from co-workers about how awesome the car looks. I drove it long distance from San Diego to Santa Cruz up the beautiful CA coast highway and had a blast zooming around all the curves. I hope to have this car for many more years to come.

This my 2nd BMW that I have owned. One was a 1999 530i, and now I have a 2011 535i. My issues are with the interior and water leaks. I feel that both are BMW problems and should be fixed at their expense. The water leaks are from the moisture barrier within the doors. You would think that with the technology today this would not be an issue.Yet here I am knee deep in water in my back floorboard. I have owned several different cars that were much older and never had a leak anywhere. I do not understand how BMW can claim this is the Ultimate driving machine. My interior issue is with the driver door grab. It is made with some kind of soft material. The problem is it melts due to the extreme heat. Living in the South, we have very hot summers. I do use sunscreens. However it doesnt help. I had to remove the material and now I am left with an ugly looking door grab. Needless to say I am out of pocket for these fixes, Both problems I believe are manufacturer defects. My local BMW service center is in agreement with my reasoning. However BMW wont fix anything. My next Ultimate driving machine wont be a BMW.

Its a 2011 BMW 535i. When I turned on the front defroster the fan was making an abnormal loud noise. Took it to the dealer and they checked that out and said leaves went inside the fan motor and they had to replace the fan motor. My question to BMW again how did the leaves went inside the fan motor to begin with? Do not they have proper system in place where the leaves should not be even allowed to go inside. I saw this happen to way older cars. I drove Japanese cars which were way older models than these, never ever had any issues like these. I looked up all of these reviews to decide what to do about my 2011 BMW Coupe. I previously owned a 2007 328xi sedan. When the 6 years of warranty ran out, I had expenses of over $1000 frequently. I traded it in on a 2011 Coupe, with warranty. I almost have 50,000 miles on this car and I will definitely spend $2000.00 to get the next warranty. Then I will sell the car or trade it in. I love my BMWs. They are fun to drive and MY dealers have been great. The first was DeSimone BMW in Mt. Laurel, NJ, the current one is in Atlantic City, NJ. I always get a loaner car. The staff is polite and they answer my every need. As long as the car is under warranty, it is all good. It is so sad for me to read the horror stories on this site. I thought I was getting ripped off buying my 2011, it seems not. I wish the best for all of you. These are expensive cars, and for me they are worth it for the service and atmosphere, AND driving.

I bought Blizzak winter tires from Bridgestone for the 2 time in 3 years. This last time I had an issue with one of the tire after 3 weeks. It was deflating. I stopped at the BMW garage in Oakville and they had to replace my tire. I wrote to Bridgestone from their website. They never got my request and realized when I called that did not even know where the web inquiries went!!! They basically wash their hands of any support. You spend $3,000 in tires in 3 years and they wont stand behind their products for $300!!! I will never buy any Bridgestone tires again, not because of their products but because of the lack of vision and consumer care from the company. I gave them an 8 on 10 for their products but a 1 on 10 for their consumer care service.

My wife and I were driving when our car just died on the highway which is a 2011 bmw 335i coupe with 94.*** miles that she recently bought used. I called the Bmw of Portland. They said to come over and bring the car because I have warranty, they said which expires on the 30th of this Month, I was surprised but at the same time happy. We got the car in the shop, they gave us a rental. After a few days we received a phone call saying they cannot detect the issue because the battery is dead and its not original equipment. Two months prior, we replaced the battery at specialized Bmw shop, the battery was programmed and registered like it supposed to. So now bmw wants $500 for a new battery so they can test drive the car and duplicate the problem, but the funny thing is they said they charged it overnight and it fired up but died after an hour. So I told him obviously there is something draining the battery and he said nope its just the battery isnt original equipment. So I called a different bmw dealership because they refused to change the air filter and oil change while you can see that the air filter is super dirty. The main technician guy is scandalous and lazy. Spark notes car lost complete power and when I mean complete its out like nothing works at all. Prior a week before a car started to have longer cranks but it would always start. There is a recall for the positive battery cable but when I type my vin in it says I dont have a recall. I dont know what to do.

Im in the military, and when I went to look at cars they told me leasing was the way to go. When I explained that I move a lot and that the chances of me still being in the area when the lease was over were slim they said that wasnt an issue. They said they worked with military people all the time and knew how everything went. Well 3 years goes by and I have to turn in my car. I was told if I turned it in with miles to use Id be reimbursed. I was 8,000 miles under didnt get a penny. Then I am told I have to pay a 300 dollar fee for not getting another BMW. So I was not happy to say the least... then a year later I get a bill for property tax in a state Im not a resident in and never even registered the car in.Apparently they like to leave out that because you lease it means the title belongs to them not you and the states dont allow the exceptions because the title is owned by BMW. Horrible experience trying to deal with this and in the end had to pay a tax I never should have had to pay. Stay away from BMW leasing if you are a Soldier.

I bought this in April 2008 with 18,000 on it, as a 40 mile each way commuter, and with the Corbin seat and BMW bags already on it. I love it right from the start. It has massive torque, gobs of acceleration and is fast enough for me (I haven't had it flat out, but I've had an indicated 120 mph out of it without trying hard). I found it a little too buzzy for comfort around 4500 rpm. The Manic Salamander bar end weights (18.5 ounces instead of the stock 9.5 ounces) completely cured that. I found it very windy over 70 mph; Parabellum windshield, adjusted as high as it can go cured that. My other add-ons were for personal preference, not necessity. The bike is as reliable as a stone, comfortable all day, a joy to drive and magic through the twisties. At first I felt like I wasn't getting much feedback from the front suspension, then I realized it just was not having any problems, so there was nothing for it to tell me. It just goes around bends on any surface at any speed I've asked of it without fuss.

This is regarding my 16 months old BMW 5 series, RJ 14 CF 0999. As you can read the previous mails, I have been raising the concern for the quality of tyres since May 2018. That is within 4 months of purchase of a brand new 5 Series, luxury line BMW. The tyres installed in the car were Pirelli, and after 3rd incident of car tyre bursting, we took the matter to our nearest and purchase dealership, SANGHI MOTORS in January. We waited for the Sales Representative, Mr Ankit ** over there as he held the car between 24 December to 22 January, roughly for a period of 1 month for inspection and other undisclosed reasons. Finally when enough mails were ignored, I had to purchase an MRF tyre from the MRF dealer shop.Meanwhile on 17th January we renewed the insurance for Depreciation shield and Tyre and BMW secure. In March 2019, the front side car tyre bursted on the highway again leaving us, the owners, yet again stranded on the Highway for the 3rd time since the purchase. Again dusting off all the responsibilities, BMW Service executives maintained that the car was being driven in wrong conditions. Now despite taking all the necessary covers and insurances, I am unable to experience a satisfactory experience with BMW. My family personally own cars Jaguar XJL, Porsche Cayenne, BMW X5, Audi A6, Range Rover Evoque, Mercedes ML 250, amongst our elite cars in our firm, M/s Gulshan Rai Jain II. Never have I experienced such substandard quality that the LIFE THREATENING conditions happen in these cars. The Pirelli tyres have been depreciated at 50% and 25%. Due to the bursting of substandard tyres the rims were also bent. BMW Sanghi Motors have depreciated the Rims at 20% and comfortably charged me that as well.SUMMING UP. I am unable to understand why I am liable to pay for 4 substandard tyres and for 2 rims as well, when the car has not even completed 18,000 kms. If the tyre is substandard and is prone to bursting then the car will come on rims. And if the rims are also substandard, then the company should take action. Moreover if 4 isolated incidents of BURSTING OF CAR TYRES have happened and BMW SANGHI CLASSIC MAINTAINS THAT CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN IN WRONG CONDITIONS. If BMW seriously believes that 4 times car tyre has been bursted due to driving conditions THEN I AM NOT AFRAID TO HIGHLIGHT THIS MATTER TO PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE TO BE JUDGED. I dont want to blame with insurance company, so please dont direct me towards them as they have no role in providing me substandard material in the first place.

In a period of last 12 months, my 2010 BMW X5 has had the following failures, which leads me to believe either that BMW has no quality in their products or this SUV is just a lemon. 1. Check Engine Light - Radiator replaced in Jan 2014. 2. Car slows down in the middle of the road and stops - Fuel pump bushings replaced in Aug 2014. 3. AC stops working - AC leak Schraeder valve- Aug 14 4. Thrust rod replaced - Aug 14 5. Check engine light on - Oil leak from Oil Filter Housing - Nov 146. High pitched noise from the hood - Crank Case Vent system - Dec 14Called BMW for the last problem today and they just washed their hands off. Leads me to believe that they dont stand behind their product. Buyers beware. Do your research before you buy. There is certainly no driving experience here. It is the fear of your car stalling at any time.

I own a 2007 335i, which I purchased from BMW dealer, and always had it serviced by a BMW dealer. Around 35,000 miles I began having repeated problems with oil leaks, the service engine light would constantly come on and the engine wasnt performing properly. I was told that the codes just needed to be reset and that the problems were fixed. A few days later the check service engine light came on again. I went back to the dealership and was told it was the code for the fuel pump plausibility and all they had to do was to reset it with the software and it would be fine.A week later the same thing happened. This time around I asked them to take a look at the issue. I once again was told that the problem was fixed and that the codes just needed to be reset. The check engine light would come on regularly and I was always told the same thing - that it was due to the software update but the car had no issues.I took my car in to the dealership right before 50,000 miles and before the warranty expired to have an oil change and at that time I was told that the car had an oil leak and the fuel pump had to be replaced. They replaced it and reset the codes once again. I explained the car was not driving properly, as it would jolt and it wouldnt accelerate. The service rep said he would check on that and make the necessary repairs. I left the dealership and on my way home the service engine light came on once again. I went back to the dealership and was told they needed to reset the codes again.A few months later, I noticed the car was leaking oil and the engine was not running properly. The service engine light was also back on. I took it to the dealership and was told it was the fuel pump, and there was a problem with the turbochargers and engine. I was told it would not be covered under the warranty as the warranty had just expired. I had them do them complete the repairs as it was necessary. In less than 24 months, Ive had to have the fuel pump and oil gaskets replaced three times. The car went into limp mode as I was driving on a busy intersection and just turned off in the middle of traffic, putting my life as well as other drivers lives in danger. I was struck from behind by a van because the driver didnt anticipate me just stopping without warning. This a huge safety issue and BMW needs to be held accountable for withholding this information from customers. I had to have my car towed to the dealership and they refuse to warranty the defective items.I called BMW North America and spoke Leah in Customer Affairs and she informed me that it was up to the dealership if they wanted to apply the warranty or not. She said it is not up to the corporate office to make those decisions. I also demanded a copy of all my service maintenance records from the BMW dealership where I had the car serviced and they refused to provide them to me.I asked to speak to a supervisor and was transferred to Ross at BMW corporate office. I told him I wanted a copy of all my maintenance records from the SM BMW dealership emailed to me, as I couldnt go there in person but needed to the records to show proof that I had the fuel pump repaired numerous times. He told me he called over to the dealership and requested the records but they refused to email them to me and proceeded to say that they dont have to give me those records.I was beyond appalled that I would be treated that way, after all I had been through given they sold me a product with a manufacturers defect. I explained that the dealership was charging me over $5,500 for the fuel pump and oil gasket repair, yet I had already paid over $8,000 to have it repaired numerous times. The dealership refused to warranty the defective items. I am beyond disgusted with their lies, fraudulent practices and their sheer incompetence. Ive decided to retain legal counsel at this point.

There is something so wrong in a car that has a guarantee of 50,000 miles and at 51,000 miles starts to break. My car has 62,000 miles and I have spent about $5,000 on repairs and I need to spend another $5,000 if I want to do everything that the house recommended. My guess is that BMW is learning from Detroits old book of how to go down.

2009 BMW 335I - Battery was removed to be replaced. Closed trunk as car was in public place, now I cannot access trunk to replace battery, cannot use front jump option under hood as cables in trunk are touching or grounded. At this time the only option BMW is suggesting is to have car towed to BMW so they can troubleshoot at $175 an hour - and from what I have found is they will locate the fuse wire and use that to open trunk. They removed the key hole in 2009 with this car thus leaving the consumer in the lurch.

I purchased a brand new special order 2011 BMW 128i. I love the car and treat it like a baby. It has only 13,000 mile but required new rear tires. Very expensive items and with traction control and safe driving why did it need new tires. I hate the run-flat tires. They are hard as rocks and negatively affect the driving dynamics of the vehicle. The vehicle has no spare or temporary spare. To balance the vehicle, the battery has been placed in the trunk. It would have been wiser to utilize regular tires and provide a temporary spare in the trunk. My battery is now starting to fail. Of course that happened two months after the 4 yr maintenance expired. I just discovered that a new battery costs over $600 because the vehicles computer has to be reprogrammed for the specific battery. Only BMW and a few authorized service centers can perform a battery replacement. So, a $200 battery costs an extra $400 for installation. That is just plain crazy. Hate the tires now, hate the cost of normal maintenance.

Got a flat on tires designed to go 50 miles, but only got 5 miles before it was on the rim. Didnt know I didnt have a spare... never told me when leasing my 2014 X5. The nice lady on the roadside assistance call, said that she would send a tow truck to tow my car 60 miles (I would have to pay and be reimbursed by BMW) to the nearest dealer, but that unfortunately, since it was Sunday night and I was 150 miles from home, in the rain, that I would have to find a place to stay. Again at my expense, and find a way to get to that dealer, 60 miles away and get my car back on Monday sometime.... I didnt, called friends who came and fixed the flat. Then on Monday BMW said sorry for your inconvenience, expense and disappointment.... but thats the way it is, and the expense of the tire, rim, and service was mine... since I didnt have insurance. THIS IS MY 4th BMW (all had spares). THIS IS MY LAST BMW.

Bought this 2010 BMW X5 35d brand new from a dealership in Colorado. Its spent more time in dealership shops than in the garage. Check engine lights, battery drain problems, electrical problems... on and on and on. The worst car Ive ever owned and at a most ridiculous price. Many times the check engine light or battery drain light (or whatever) comes back on or recurs within a day or within a week. Back to the shop we go... only to be told they cant find it or replicate it. Great. I go home, it starts again. Its beyond ridiculous. As soon as I pick it up from the shop this time (its getting the THIRD battery now), Im selling it. Ill never own another one again. EVER. Dont waste your money. Good Morning my name is Mark ** and my wife name is Veronica **. We use to be proud owners of our 2010 BMW 528xi up until now. We purchased it on March 23, 2013 at Bolden Ltd dealer in Greenville NC. Weve owned 3 BMWs in the past and this will be the 4th and we were thinking about purchasing another one until our recent experience with our 2010 BMW 528xi. When we bought it all the services was up to date and it was still under warranty. It only had 33,761 miles on it. We took it in for service at BMW dealer at 36,000 miles for its 2nd oil change and all services was fine and the vehicle was up to date on its maintenance. There were no leaks and it drove great! Several months later we came back to BMW dealer in Kinston, NC for the 3rd oil change just before 50,000 warranty. We were recommended by BMW service technician to get everything that could be done under warranty because our 50,000 mile warranty was about to expire, so we agreed and let them do what was recommended. So they changed the oil and the fluids that were needed at that time, they replaced the wiper blades, and they replaced a oil cooler gasket and a oil filter housing gasket and gave me a 2 year warranty. We left feeling confident that everything should be fine with the vehicle for a while. Grant it we had no leaks prior to that service. Several months later about 15,000 miles we got our 4th oil change and several months after that we got our 5th oil change and everything was fine and there were no leaks. In August about the 18th we called BMW and Scheduled an appointment about a noise we were hearing at low speed from our ac vent inside the vehicle. They told us to come in on Saturday 8/22/15 @ 8:00 am. Upon arriving we were taken in by Trish at Sale BMW in Kinston, NC and she came out to listen to the noise we were hearing but of course the car wouldnt make the noise so I told her to lift the hood and turn the AC on to see if the noise could be heard but upon looking under the hood we noticed a lot of oil under the hood so she recommended that we get it checked out while we were there, so we agreed! About 2 hours later we had to ask them what was going on and what did they find. Trish then took me in the shop so the shop Foreman could show me what he found. He told me that the Oil Cooler was leaking, the oil filter housing was leaking, the valve cover was leaking, and the oil pan was leaking. The quote they gave me was well over 2,000 dollars for everything. I was shocked mainly because they never looked in my history before to see that they had replaced the oil filter housing and the oil cooler gasket less than 2 years ago and grant it, it wasnt leaking when they replaced it under warranty. So, that rubbed me the wrong way and secondly Ive owned BMWs before that had no leaks like this one. Well upon me notifying Trish to check my service history she found out that the Oil filter housing and cooler gasket was still under warranty. So they fixed it while we were there for free. We were satisfied with them fixing it for free but if I didnt inform them that it had already been done then we believe we would have paid for it again. The vehicle has 84,000 miles on it and it has oil leaks already. We are unhappy with these oil leaks after 5 oil changes. Our previous BMWs were not leaking oil. Please call us about this matter. Mark ** or Veronica **. We look forward to your response to this matter.

This is the worst car I have ever owned. Bought in 2001 for a hefty sum, and every year, some minor stuff had to be fixed (heater fan stopped working, windows would not roll up, door handles peeled off, roof dashboard lining all bubbled up...irritating small things that added up to quite a lot). The service engine soon indicator kept going on and off, and the dealer said there were faulty sensors that needed replacing for only 800 USD. This is about 6 months after I just paid close to 4K for 100K maintenance. Then yesterday, the transmission warning came on, and the car started driving like pedaling a bicycle uphill. The motor had such a hard time I took it straight to the dealer. I was told the gears on the transmission wore out! The car had one driver, who took it to all the required maintenance, and always drove it in auto mode. For the transmission to give up after 110,000 miles is expected of a BMW. I had a Camry that lasted me 15 years without a problem!!! I am really disappointed with this car. My advice -- Do not , NOT, NOT, buy this junkie car. I do not know what happened. I will never buy a BMW, will not take one even if it was offered to me!!! Done with this car, done with the dealer, done and totally pissed off with this company. Euro junk, german funk.

I purchased a 2008 BMW 335i as a second owner. Then, I discovered after the purchase that the title was branded lemon--manufacturer buy-back. Carfax did not have the word lemon until two years later when the state of California required the word lemon be added. Regardless, the BMW was a buy-back at 4,000 miles because the fuel pump failed. Eight months later, the below recall was issued:VOLUNTARY RECALL: BMW High-Pressure Fuel Pump Voluntary Emissions Recall--models w/ N54.The upshot of this is that my car was branded a lemon due to manufacturing failure but none of the cars post recall were branded as such. BMW refuses to intervene on my behalf to the California DMV, to reserve the title branding; thus, leaving my car worth 25% less than comparable values for this particular model. While trying to trade it at a BMW dealership, they confirmed that it wasnt worth 60% of comparable values.Doesnt BMW USA have a responsibility to make this right? None of this would have been known by me had I not seen a Carfax with the updated lemon language and had I not tried to sell the car, now with 35K miles on it. Please help me. BMW has flatly said that there is no recourse for me.

I bought BMW X1 2014 model and it has Run Flat tires. I had worst experience with these tires. I had to change 4 tires within 2 years which costed me $1200. I never had any problem with other cars with regular tires and never had any flat tire with regular tires. I do not understand why BMW RFTs (Pirelli Cinturato tires) giving so much trouble. Every 3 months one of the tires will be flat and there is no fix except new tire which cost me $300 and waste of time to visit the dealer and not having car for 1 day. Worst thing is I had to replace the same tire (brand new) within 3 months. Enough is enough. I am selling my BMW and going for regular tire vehicle. Its nightmare situation with the Run Flat tires. The road condition where I drive is pretty decent and very less probability of nails and flat tires. There is flaw with these Pirelli Cinturato tires which is giving me nightmare and financial burden.

I bought a 2001 BMW 330CI from a friend in 2007. As much as I enjoyed my driving experience through the years, I have spent thousands of dollars in repairs. And every 2 years, I dreaded the smog certification process. It always failed and I would usually spend a ton of money trying to get it fixed so it would pass and I could renew my registration. This year was the last straw. I spent 3 months going back and forth to my mechanic, testing, re-testing and spending almost $600 on repairs; still not passing. Then I took it to another mechanic, where I spent over $1,000; still not passing. Then I went to a BMW dealer to have them reset the computer due to a BMW Bulletin on that particular year/model; still not passing, and another $175. In between all these visits, I took it out on various driving cycles to reset the monitors, per various YouTube recommendations. Finally, it passed in April 2015. In September 2015, I decided to sell the car, but since the sale was outside the 90-day window of smog certification, I had to have it smog checked again. Guess what? It failed. After fighting with a few of the mechanics I used before, one of them cut me a little break on the price; did some additional repairs to the tune of $411 and finally the car passed the smog check. In total, I spent almost $2,200 in repairs, just for smog certification, not to mention all the other stuff I had replaced over the years. By the way, most of the smog repairs were due to faulty sensors. I called the corporate office of BMW and they wouldnt do anything in the way of reimbursement.

Now after paying them, they tell me to drive the x5 back to them and they will take a look at it.I had to rent or borrow for seven weeks. I have paid them because they stated the x5 was repaired, but after paying them and going out to pick up my car, drove to city where I live and by the time I arrived, the struts were deflated. My girlfriend drove her BMW 328I up from Florida on Sept. 24th, and when she got it here, she noticed that the window was down and would not roll up (motor broken). It was late at night, so we didnt want to leave the car out on the street with a window down in NYC. We called BMW Roadside Assistance and they had a tow truck company come pick up the car. Since it was late, they said they would take the car to their lot and then drop it off at BMW Dealership the following morning. The next morning, the tow company called us and said they dropped it off and it would be ready in a couple of days. We then called the BMW dealership when we thought the car would be ready, and they informed us that they never received the car nor had any information on the car. It turned out that the tow company wrecked the car, and they were trying to cover it up and fix the car themselves. They basically took the car to a chop shop in the Bronx and it looked like they were trying to replace parts of the car with aftermarket parts that were not BMWs. We went to the Bronx with the cops and had another tow truck come out and move the car to the BMW dealership. It has now been exactly 1 month and BMW has not even started working on the car yet. We filed claims with BMW Roadside Assistance and BMW Customer Service, and they never get back to us when we call to try and figure out what is going on. I have been getting the runaround from everyone I speak with and when I ask to speak to a supervisor, they say they have no other contacts they can give. The BMW dealership has tried to contact Roadside Assistance, and they are not even able to get a hold of them. Now the dealership wants to charge $85 a day for storage of the car. Meanwhile, weve been without a car this whole time and there is no end in sight on when the car will be fixed. At this point, Im not really sure what to do, or what legal action we should take. Any help you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated.

I found online that you can take your BMW 2011 750LI xdrive in for a customer care package (They did not call it a recall but a customer care package). I thought this would correct the problems because they replace some sensors and vacuum hose but the problem is still there. BMW did a full diagnostic and said Remove and replace all injectors (x8), ignition coils (x8), and spark plugs (x8). (During the inspection found the vehicle misfiring). Final cost will run $6777.00. My warranty company will refuse to pay because they wanted to know what would you replace all 8 injectors and all of the other parts because all 8 injectors cant be bad. The warranty company think BMW know they have a faulted Injection systems and trying to upgrade and correct the problem at the customer expense. The car burn major oil, BMW claim this is normal. I will get a second opinion. This is the worst car I have ever own and when you spend a 100,000 on a car you expect to drive it more then 4 years without all of the problems these car has cost us. I thought BMW quality meant something. I will never, never buy another BMW in Life.Problem 3: Car have 114k now they are telling me the Transmission needs to be replace. This car just fell apart. Its a 2008 BMW 750Li. The transmission went bad, the electronics went out and the worst part was the door would just open and not close when moving. I complained and they said they would recall but I have not heard anything about fixing the cars. A rep sends me an email for almost a year now many more saying that BMW in Germany is working on it. I had to get rid of the car because it was unsafe. I dont want the car fixed. I want compensation for my anxiety. Who protects consumers... who fights for the rights of the consumer. These cars should never have been allowed on the road. They have been numerous complaints about the safety and mechanical design quality of this car from a certain time frame. The complaints seem to disappear from the web after a period of time.
