2024 Aston Martin Valkyrie

The 2024 Aston Martin Valkyrie is a hypercar that pushes the boundaries of automotive engineering, blending Formula 1 technology with cutting-edge design. Co-developed with Red Bull Racing, the Valkyrie is Aston Martin’s most extreme, track-focused car, built for unrivaled speed, performance, and exclusivity. It's designed to deliver a near-racing experience while remaining road-legal, with limited production making it a collector's dream.

Powertrain and Performance

Engine: The Valkyrie is powered by a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, developed in collaboration with Cosworth, producing an astonishing 1,000 horsepower at a screaming 10,500 RPM.

Hybrid System: In addition to the V12, the Valkyrie features an electric motor developed by Rimac, adding another 160 horsepower. Combined, the hybrid system delivers a total output of 1,160 horsepower and 663 lb-ft of torque.

0-60 mph: The Valkyrie accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in around 2.5 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 220 mph.

Transmission: A 7-speed single-clutch automatic transmission is optimized for quick, seamless shifts, engineered for high-speed performance on both the road and track.

Lightweight Construction: With its carbon fiber monocoque chassis, the Valkyrie weighs just under 2,270 lbs (1,030 kg), giving it a remarkable power-to-weight ratio that rivals race cars.

Chassis and Aerodynamics

Formula 1-Derived Aerodynamics: The Valkyrie uses advanced active aerodynamics, including a large front splitter, rear diffuser, and active rear wing, designed to generate extreme downforce. This helps keep the car glued to the track, especially at high speeds.

Venturi Tunnels: The underbody features Venturi tunnels that create a ground-effect, channeling airflow to increase downforce without relying on large external wings, improving both performance and aesthetics.

Adaptive Suspension: Its suspension system is race-inspired, with pushrod-operated inboard coilover dampers, allowing for incredible agility and cornering ability.

Active Aero: The car dynamically adjusts its aerodynamics based on speed and driving conditions, maximizing grip and stability on the track while remaining practical for road use.

Interior and Features

Driver-Focused Cockpit: The interior is minimal and focused entirely on the driver’s experience. The Valkyrie features F1-style seating, with the driver and passenger in a reclined, feet-up position to optimize the car’s center of gravity and aerodynamics.

Digital Displays: The dashboard features multiple digital screens, including a central OLED display that shows key performance data. The steering wheel, which contains many of the controls, also has an embedded display.

No-Frills Design: Every element inside is designed to save weight, meaning you’ll find no unnecessary luxuries. However, Aston Martin ensures the materials used, like Alcantara and carbon fiber, are of the highest quality.

Adjustability: The car’s seats are fixed directly to the chassis, but the pedals and steering wheel are adjustable to accommodate different driver sizes and preferences.

Exterior Design

Aggressive Styling: The Valkyrie’s design is shaped by aerodynamics and performance rather than aesthetics alone, yet it remains striking. With its low, wide stance and aggressive, futuristic styling, the Valkyrie looks every bit the hypercar.

Lighting: Lightweight LED headlights and tail lights add to the car’s sleek design, while maintaining the functionality required for road use.

Exposed Carbon Fiber: The Valkyrie’s body panels are predominantly carbon fiber, with no painted surfaces to save weight and highlight its technical construction.

Driving Experience

Track-Ready: The Valkyrie offers a driving experience that is as close to a Formula 1 car as you can get on the road. With extreme levels of downforce, responsive steering, and race-tuned suspension, it delivers mind-blowing cornering speed and track performance.

Hybrid Boost: The electric motor provides instant torque, helping the V12 with acceleration off the line and filling gaps in the torque curve, resulting in a seamless power delivery.

Road-Legal: While engineered for track dominance, the Valkyrie is also road-legal, although it may feel more at home on a circuit than on public roads. The ride is stiff, and the focus is entirely on performance rather than comfort.

Exclusivity and Production

Limited Production: Only 150 road-legal Valkyries will be produced, making it an extremely rare and sought-after hypercar. Aston Martin also plans to build an additional 40 track-only Valkyrie AMR Pro variants for those who want a pure track experience without the constraints of road legality.

Customization: Each Valkyrie is customizable through Aston Martin’s Q division, allowing owners to personalize their car’s color scheme, interior materials, and more.

Pricing

Base Price: The 2024 Aston Martin Valkyrie is expected to cost around $3 million, with customization options potentially adding significant additional cost.

High Value: As one of the most extreme hypercars ever produced, its price reflects its rarity, performance, and cutting-edge technology.

Conclusion

The 2024 Aston Martin Valkyrie is the pinnacle of hypercar engineering, blending Formula 1 technology, extreme performance, and exclusivity into one stunning package. With a hybrid V12 powertrain, groundbreaking aerodynamics, and a lightweight design, it delivers an unprecedented driving experience, whether on the road or the track. For those seeking the ultimate performance vehicle and a piece of automotive history, the Valkyrie stands at the top of its class.

Dream car but straight out of the factory the door shuts and bonnet are out of alignment and the car rear quarters and boot has obviously had paint rectification as evidence of overspray, rough masking edges and silicon inclusion with paint thicknesses on car ranging from 120-290 microns (all evidenced and reported by an independant engineer).Dealer (Jardine Motors / Lancasters) has been worse than useless and made the matter worse by burning through the paint in three places. They also confirmed in writing and verbally they go through a check process at the factory however a large number of new cars coming through to us will still need some form of paint rectification or polishing/buffing before handover .Whatever you do make sure you go over the car with a fine tooth comb and DO NOT just assume it is a brand new car everything will be perfect, because ours is now going to court.

Terrible terrible vehicle, experience and customer service. Having bought a brand new Vantage I have endured no enjoyment whatsoever. Fault after fault have become only too familiar. Aston Martin have refused to assist with rectifying any of my issues. If you buy an Aston Martin beware you will not receive assistance from the manufacturer. Passenger door has drooped and now chipped. Clicking noises coming from gearbox. Red airbag warning light. EDF warning light. Whistling noises through windows at speed. Steering wheel pointing at 11 oclock. All of the above within 1 month of owning the vehicle. Quality control clearly were not focused on the day my vehicles build was complete. If you notice faults within the first 14 days then return the vehicle immediately to dealer. BEWARE!!!
