A Fully Loaded BMW i7 Will Cost You Mega Bucks

Last week, BMW teased the arrival of the all-new 7 Series and its all-electric i7 sibling before revealing both to us this week. The latter is the one that we're particularly interested in, as the Mercedes EQS Sedan already exists as a pretty impressive luxury electric sedan. Mercedes typically sets the benchmark in terms of luxury mobility, but BMW has arguably blown the EQS out of the water this time, debuting exciting tech like a massive 8K rear screen that turns the back seats into a small cinema. But as is customary, such features cost extra, so what does a fully loaded i7 cost? The all-electric i7 has launched in Germany and gone live on the local configurator with a base price of €138,310, or around $150,955 in our money. Add the M Sport Package and the price rises to €142,800 ($155,854). With the M Sport Package Pro, the MSRP reaches €146,500 ($159,893). The latter adds black accents, M Sport brakes, 20-inch M light-alloy wheels, and an M rear spoiler. As usual, the only free paint color is Alpine White, while metallic options range in price from €1,150-€3,800 ($1,255-$4,147), the most expensive of which are Frozen, or matte, finishes. If these aren't special enough, BMW Individual two-tone finishes can be applied for €12,000, or roughly $13,100. These two-tone finishes can't be had with matte options, so we went with the $2,620 Tanzanite Blue metallic option. Wheel options are a little more affordable, with the cheapest optional designs costing €1,900 (around $2,075) and the most expensive setting you back €3,750, or almost $4,100. 19-, 20-, and 21-inch options are available. Fortunately, opting for the M Sport Pro Package means that the most expensive 21-inch wheel option is now free. BMW Iconic Glow crystal headlights cost another €2,100 (roughly $2,292). Moving inside, the Individual leather options reach their pinnacle with Merino leather which costs €1,850 ($2,019) while interior trim options are all not charged. Altogether, this ridiculous car costs €179,820 including taxes. That's around $196,260, but fear not - BMW told us that US-spec models will cost around $150,000 with all the toys. That does mean we might not get all the options, but we're pretty sure it'll be all the ones you want.

I purchased a used BMW that was purchased as a certified pre-own by the previous owner. The warranty extended through 2019 up to 100k miles. I thought this would be a transferable warranty seeing that it was purchased through BMW. I called in and was transferred to a third party company who had no record of the warranty. I called BMW back to which another person explained that the warranty can no longer be transferred because I did not buy the car directly from the previous owner. There was a third party involved. I offered to pay a transfer fee, have the car reinspected or whatever yet BMW would not transfer the warranty. I was surprised that BMW wouldn’t want to stand by a car that they certified as good based on a transfer of ownership that involved a third party. That seems like bad business to me and way to force a new owner to repurchase the same warranty again. I would suggest others be aware of this clause when purchasing a used BMW.

Rear tires on 740li with only 22k miles. Dealer said when got the second service on car needed rear tires because of not good alignment??? What?? Inside edge worn out on both tires. I cant believe that this car would need new tires with only this mileage? The front is fine so tell me how does this happen? Hope CEO HAS TO BUY TIRES ON REAR OF CAR. This is the most ridiculous thing that has ever happened to me in all the cars I have owned. Cant believe for the $$$$ of this car that this could really be the truth that you are not telling anyone? Not very impressed now with this company. Now I am going to get alignment and buy 2 new tires for a $100,000.00 car with only 22k miles on it? Hope people that work there get to experience this?

I have a 2007 BMW 335 with 68,000. I took it to the dealer and came up with $3600 repairs. How can a reputable car manufacturer produce cars that have an oil leak and to repair it, you need to remove the casket of the engine for a car with such a low mileage? I am saying goodbye to BMWs. Their official dealer garage shop is clearly stating that their cars cannot compete with those of other manufacturers such as Lexus where one can go up to 100,000 miles without any major repair.

My speedometer in my brand new car is off by 10% and when I brought it in to BMW Spokane for correction, was told BMW has a disclaimer for accuracy of their speedometers. WTF? Having several other electronic issues like the radio randomly shutting itself off, seat cooler and armrest heaters turning themselves on and the XM radio rerunning the program from about 5 minutes back if for some reason, I briefly lose connection like driving through downtown or something. My Toyota gave none of these problems, nor does my sons Subaru. Also they dont provide a courtesy vehicle in Spokane citing the global supply chain. I could go on about the service dept in Spokane which has been another BMW disappointment. Glad Toyota isnt impacted in that way. Dropping a 130 grand on a car I thought I would have for years is embarrassing as I dont have that new car joy. I dislike my car and will never buy another BMW.

Ive since contacted BMW NA who has been less than helpful facilitating my effort to have another dealership look at the car. Anybody else out there having issues with BMW, I will never buy another BMW.

After reading through the majority of complaints here, Ive come to the conclusion that it is either the failure of the consumer to research the product carefully or expectations that are unrealistic and do not disclose the full story. For those that have had a bad sales experience, it is a failure of the dealership employing sales people that do not know their product and over promising and under delivering. If you buy a used car especially over 85k, as I read regarding the X5, expect it to have mechanical failures with some parts that require maintenance, i.e. cooling system parts such as t-stats and water pumps. Modern cars that are built by teams of suppliers are all prone to failures of suspension parts, bushings, window regulators, etc. and is an unfortunate result of the economies of building a car, any car. Buying a car because you thought it was prestigious, well, thats just an expectation residing in stupidity. BMW have never stated their x products are true off roaders (look at the wheels and tire profiles!). If you want that, buy a jeep or LandRover or LandCruiser. Navigation systems, blame the software guys (probably Navteq). They provide the disks for everyone in the industry. The car you purchased CPO was state of the art at the time and has evolved quite quickly. All of you expecting a car that is bare bones, be aware that most cars today have ecu/telematics units with more computing power than a Saturn V rocket (that took the Apollo astronauts to the moon). The trans guy? You needed a new clutch probably because you continued to drive the car after the trans light came on in which you probably needed a trans shift solenoid (approx $200). I am on my third car and have been fortunate to own many performance marques, all of which have had their share of issues. For the woman that claimed she was dismissed because car was out of warranty, what do you expect? What do you not understand? Out of warranty is out of warranty. You didnt complain if they fixed stuff at their cost within the warranty. Now, its your turn to incur cost. Cars arent cost free to maintain. You bought a car. A product. Thats it! You didnt do anything to qualify you for winning the Nobel prize so why should your expectation be that they fix your problem? Should they fix everyone elses car on the road thats out of warranty? For the guy with the motor mount issue, your car was probably in an accident. I have seen CPOD cars sold without disclosure of accidents by a major luxury japanese manufacturer and thats not the fault of the marque but the dealerships shoddy and shady selling practices. Conclusion, educate yourself if you buy anything. And stop with blame or false expectations that youre owed something. Car manufacturers step up to the plate to cover you either warranty or goodwill when analytics show there is a problem.

I will never buy a BMW again. Overpriced and the quality is not present anywhere. Difficult to upkeep and customer service is nearly nonexistent at dealership AND corporate level. I bought a 320i and was so excited to run around with the BMW logo - until realized the logo was ALL I was getting. The car is subpar to my old Geo Metro from the 90s I had as a kid. NOT EXAGGERATING. As the first owner and the car is ONLY A YEAR OLD, it shouldnt have all the problems its been having. I had to buy new tires (yes, that quickly) because they come with run flats which go bald quickly. To boot, I couldnt have my usual family friend replace them because I needed some special BMW tire bolt remover to get them off. Took forever to get this bolt remover because it didnt come with the car and I ended up missing a weekend trip because I felt unsafe driving on bald tires.Engine stalls sometimes when first starting car in the a.m., door lock mechanism has broken a few times, and most of all: The car terrifies me on curvy roads on the freeway (cant have full control of the steering wheel during high speed curves on the freeway). I am terrified Im going to die in this car - Ive gone back to the dealer multiple times to tell them the steering wheel sticks on high speed turns and they only tell me they cant find the problem - because they arent looking for it!!! They just want my money and care less about fixing this car under the warranty. And I cant afford to get another car while saddled with this one or ruin my credit by dumping it because Im trying to buy a house. So I just avoid going far in this car or rent vehicles when I need to drive long distance. Ridiculous. But wait! Theres more! Every time I go make a payment online, the website is down or Im being asked to authenticate my same device I always use. Beyond annoying. I have to call customer service to pay, which is always a 20 min wait because their site never works. So EVERYONE is calling in and I go thru that EVERY MONTH just to pay my hard earned money for a car Im scared to drive! It has been a complete nightmare owning this car and BMW doesnt care. I have told my family if I die on any curvy roads to have the steering issue looked into and sue the daylights out of them. DO NOT BUY A BMW!

https://www.consumeraffairs.com/news/water-in-the-trunk-causes-problems-for-bmw-owners-and-bmw-020717.html. I drive a 2011 BMW 535i. The car shut down in the middle of an intersection. Several inches of water was found in a trunk compartment and the electronic circuitry found in the truck now needs to be replaced. I googled the symptoms and found a class action lawsuit settlement covering this issue for years 2004-2010 but not my 2011. I contacted the dealer who sent me to BMW customer relations only to be told sorry, but you are not covered. I am not sure what to do now, but I do know I will never purchase another BMW. My 1999 740IL has a transmission that cannot be serviced. It is a closed system. You cannot check, or change fluids, or filters in the car, except at a great cost, and most dealers will not touch the transmission, including fluid changes, and flushes. My transmission failed after 208,000 miles, and after having serviced the car regularly, the model is marked by water pump failures, and engine seals that refuse to be sealed. In other words, beyond the superb engine and suspension system, BMWs are lemons, awaiting the unwary. The car is now undergoing its annual six months downtime between major repairs to the aforementioned parts. Now, add a failed transmission to engine seals, water pumps, radiators, and the random electrical failures.

Now I tried to lease another one, because my 2017 lease ended. They are telling me that I owed them money from 2014 lease. I called to resolve the issue, they were rude and arguing. I purchased a pre-owned 2008 BMW 750IL with about 50,000 miles. I drove it to 92,000 miles before I had to trade it in. I have purchased three BMWs and have had serious service issues with the last two. The specific problem I have had with the last one related to the cars inability to start. I had to have it towed into the dealership 4 times when it would not start. In each case the dealer thought they solved the problem but had not. I paid $1,800 to have it fixed but without success. The dealer returned my money because they told me that even though they got the car running, they could not guarantee that it was fixed. This was a problem in the engine computer. Since the car was unpredictable to start, I had to trade it in on a new car, an Infiniti.I will never buy a BMW again. What is so frustrating about this situation is that I intended to keep this car for another 50,000 miles and the engine, if it started, certainly could easily deliver these miles. This situation forced me to invest +$50,000 that I had never budgeted for. I could not have a car that I did not know from one day to the next if it would start. When you pay this amount for a luxury car, you should not have to be stressed out about its ability to start. And for the dealership not to be able to fix and ask me to go away is quite a disappointment! I will be sure to tell hundreds of people over time my story and to recommend they never buy a BMW!!!

I bought Blizzak winter tires from Bridgestone for the 2 time in 3 years. This last time I had an issue with one of the tire after 3 weeks. It was deflating. I stopped at the BMW garage in Oakville and they had to replace my tire. I wrote to Bridgestone from their website. They never got my request and realized when I called that did not even know where the web inquiries went!!! They basically wash their hands of any support. You spend $3,000 in tires in 3 years and they wont stand behind their products for $300!!! I will never buy any Bridgestone tires again, not because of their products but because of the lack of vision and consumer care from the company. I gave them an 8 on 10 for their products but a 1 on 10 for their consumer care service.

I purchased this BMW 330i vehicle used and while I got it for a great deal, Ive had issues with it ever since. First, the engine went out then had issues with the car stalling. Not so good luck with the vehicle. It dawned on me that the previous owners probably did not take care of the vehicle which is why it had so many issues. Nevertheless, the car does have good features such as heated seats. I also like how the battery is located in the back. The car is really good in bad weather conditions such as snow and ice. I also like how there is a computerized screen which has various options on it for service and radio. Still, I would definitely fix some of the maintenance features of the vehicle and make it so that any mechanic can fix the issue without needing a code from the BMW dealer. I would also change it or have it so that when there is an electrical failure, there is a way to override using the windows and unlocking and locking the doors. With those main issues fixed I would enjoy the vehicle so much more.

The website for BMW Fi is NOT user friendly. Every time you want to get online you need to ask for a code. Then hopefully enter the code in the time allowed, or you will start over. The courtesy and friendliness of BMW Fi can be a lot better than it is. Overall, I would certainly not recommend them, but this is what is offered at the dealership. My transmission needed a $3000 part which had been replaced less than 2 yea
My transmission needed a $3000 part which had been replaced less than 2 years earlier near San Diego, CA. BMWs warranty for parts purchased from their dealerships has a 2-year part and labor warranty. The part was replaced at Ontario BMW (now Penske) of Southern California under warranty free as confirmed by the customer service manager named Gary at Ontario BMW. And after the repair in a very unexpected manner, the BMW reps at BMW of North America rejected the repair because the repair was not done at the San Diego BMW dealer where the original repair was performed. The possible caveat that the transmission parts be replaced at the original part of service was never mentioned to me by any of BMWs official agents and representatives. The car is now fixed. And because it was not done in the original dealership in San Diego, they literally want to dismantle my BMWs transmission (basically redamage it) and make me pay for towing to San Diego to redo the repair. Not only does this make no financial $$ sense for me or even for BMWs own dealership, but its a poor and senseless, useless decision that violates BMWs own warranty policies. Please intervene and quickly shut this case in our favor since my request is beneficial for all sides involved. The warranty was honored as stated by BMWs agents and since no one at BMW knew of this hidden caveat, it makes no sense since my BMW broke down in Ontario, California. Thanks!

When I saw the dealer bills, (Thousands) I raised my prices up a little and bought more nice wrecked cars. My 2008 BMW calls for a $950.00 positive battery terminal, in order to start from the ignition. It took me two weeks to read online about how BMW had gone crazy on parts prices and dealer ripoffs. They are crazy on parts prices now. I fixed it for 200, the dealer wants 1,500 including reprogramming the car. You must have a special tool to install into the plug for the troubleshooting device to save the programs $100.

BMW lease assumptions program/department is a huge scam. Keep your money. They have a really good side hustle going on, here we go. So I decided to do a lease assumption. The payment on the M4 is $1015 per month. I make over $90,000 per year so I can definitely afford the car, my credit score is 759 but I don’t have any of the 4 car I had prior showing on my credit report because that was 10 years ago. They were all deleted. Now I was under the impression if you have good accounts that are paid in full zero balance whether open or close they stay on your report it. I was wrong. So with that being said I applied for the car on my own. I make $90,000, 759 Score, outstanding debt. Less than $2000. This should be no problem. I paid the $543 transfer and app fee to be declined with no logical explanation. Took them less than a minute to make that rash decision but kept $143 of the $543 so I went and got a co-signer not a person a corporation that co-signs for people. That’s the business they are in. Now BMW is telling them it’s too expensive of a car. I should get something cheaper which is beyond ridiculous. I make enough to pay for this car and the backing of a corporate and that’s still not enough, but now they kept another $143 so they have a really nice scam going on. Spend your money where it’s appreciated.

I took my BMW 328i with 48,000 miles in to the BMW Birmingham service department on a Friday afternoon for a new battery. I was told by the service advisor that it needed coils, a new belt, belt tensioner, and some type of “boot” due to an oil leak. They quoted my over $2,000 for the repair. I told them I could not afford that much unexpected repair work and agreed to the battery and coils, which they said were a minimum to get the vehicle running properly at a cost of about $1,250. I also told them that my 16-year-old daughter drives the vehicle to school (around 5-10 miles a day) and that I was having it repaired because she wanted to drive it to a school dance the following day. 10 days later and less than 100 miles following the $1,250 repair, the vehicle was towed to the private garage of a retired BMW technician due to a coolant leak. After he inspected the vehicle, he told me that there was nothing wrong other than the radiator hose clamp had been removed and slid down the hose at the heater core. This could be seen easily by a BMW technician. He repaired the vehicle by reconnecting the hose/hose clamp and replacing the coolant.I called Birmingham BMW 6 times without a return call over a 10 day period and went by the dealership in-person once to speak with them about my issue and no one would talk with me. When I asked to speak with a manager and for a business card for the manager I was told that everyone was in a meeting and that they did not give out business cards. I persisted for a contact in writing for management and the wrote a name and number on a post-it note.I shared this with BMW of North America and asked for help contacting the dealership. I received a call from a service advisor the following day, who proceeded to make excuses when I shared my concerns then he transferred me to a service manager who acted in disbelief when I told him what happened to me. I shared my concern that the service department was pushy about the need for service with urgency to do it quickly before something broke and rendered the car undriveable. I question this culture within the dealership and asked the service manager how a technician could miss something as obvious as a clamp that had been disconnected and slid down the hose? I was told that the technician would not see an issue with the cooling system since he was working on the battery/coil pack/electrical system. To which I replied, then how did they find issues related to an oil leak and the belt and belt tensioner? And they had no response other than they would check into it. I have had no further response and feel that I cannot trust BMW Birmingham, Alabama to service my vehicle.

My 2008 BMW wouldnt start and the dealership said it was a fuel/air intake problem that would need $800 to fix. It was a reasonable estimate until they fixed it. Their story is that when they went to reactivate the computer after fixing the original problem, the radio crashed--not their fault, they said. It was for an additional $1,800. Are you kidding me?

From GM to used car manager have been unable to get an honest answer when looking at a used M5 with 14k. Checking the carfax car was sold as a CPO elite. First I called the dealership to confirm with service. When a service advisor answered she told me when I gave her the VIN # that this car was NOT in their system. Not in their system, it is on their lot!! Then was told when asked the salesperson that the car was NOT CPO. I decided to call an independent BMW service tech. BMW warranty info is nationwide. He was extremely helpful once I have him the last 7 numbers. He told me it is a CPO car and goes with the car, just purchased less than 4 months ago. After reading all the negative reviews of BMW customer service think I might pass on buying my first BMW. Especially since my local BMW dealership does not seem to know what they have on their lot.

I have a 2004 BMW 530i that was paid off. My daughter came home from work and parked it on the driveway and 2 hours after the trunk of the car caught on fire. The fire marshal said it was due the battery and the red wire in the trunk. I did not have comprehensive or collision insurance so the insurance company did not pay so I call BMW to let them know and I found out that there was other BMW that was in fire because the same issue. BMW took the car to evaluate the fire and then they came back and tell me the they are not responsible and offer 5k toward a certified or new BMW. I said I was not able to buy a new BMW at this point and BMW said we cannot help now. Im left without a car but I found out that BMW had a million car recall because that issue and the NBC news have other news on that issue as well but at the end nothing was done from BMW. I advise anyone with a 2004 to 2010 BMW 5 or 3 series get the car checked and file a complaint with anyone who listen thank you. At the end my car was totaled.

I purchased a 2011 BMW 528I from Pattersons BMW in Wichita Falls, Texas in July 2011. The car almost stalls when you stop and try to start again. The car hesitates when going around a corner and almost stalls. I have almost been run into because the car cannot leave a stop light like normal cars and people are in a hurry behind you. The car has been into the dealership six times and even the factory representative tried to fix the problem. No success resulted from all these attempts to fix the problem and the BMW solution is this is a characteristic of this car and all BMWs 528I have this characteristic. The salesmans car I drove did not have this problem and I doubt if any other 5 series has this problem. This new feature on 2011 BMWs is like fly by wire, in that there is no linkage between the engine and the footfeed. The computer responds to all controls within the car and somehow I have the slowest response computer, since computers were invented. If a, F-16 had this response time, the pilot would be dead and if I continue to drive this vehicle, I may be dead also.

TPM Sensor Damaged Again: I bought a 2007 525i BMW a little bit over a year ago, and this is the second time during the last four (4) months that the TPM sensor went bad. I now realize that due to water intrusion in the trunk, it causes for the TPM sensor to get water damaged. By browsing the Internet, I am now aware that this is a common malfunction for the TPM monitoring sensor on the 525i model. I believe that this should be part of a recall by BMW to specifically address this issue that is a common problem due to an engineering defect by putting such an electronic part in the bottom of the trunk when it is prone to get water damaged. The TPM sensor is now defective and needs to be replaced. Please advise how to proceed.

On 04/28/12 I purchased a 2012 528i BMW. On 07/01/13 I noticed the A/C was having trouble. The AC kept blowing high, then low, like it was wheezing! I turned it off, then back on and it was ok! The next day I did not drive my car. On 07/03/13 at approximately 6pm the AC stopped working completely. BMW service dept. was closed and the next day was 4th of July. On Friday 07/05/13, at approximately 7am, I took my car to BMW service dept. At approximately 430pm, I get a call saying a part (Blower Regulator) in the AC blew/shorted out, they could not get the part until Monday and I could keep my loaner car until Monday. On Monday 07/08/13 at approximately 230pm, I get a call saying my car was ready and I can pick it up! Note they also serviced my car. When I received my car I noticed they had the AC blowing full blast, set on Max 60 degrees, blower on Max and noisy! The outside heat was in the hundreds so I thought they had it up because the car had been sitting and they wanted it cool when I got in the car. But I notice after driving about 10 or 15 minutes and stopping at stop lights I was sweating, my forehead was burning and something was not right. The AC was not fixed properly or they put in another Faulty Blower Regulator! This was my second Bakersfield Summer driving my BMW. The heat can get as high as 110 degrees and I never had to keep my car AC set on MAX any/everything. I always kept it set on 71 to 75 degrees, with blower on medium, this was very comfortable! I am anemic and get cold very easily! Now at my normal setting I am burning up and sweating, the air blowing out of the AC does not reach me which tells me the New Blower Regulator is not working properly or they put in a used faulty one. I am riding in a $57,000.00 car and sweating like a pig! My friends and family rode with me this past weekend and were complaining they were burning up, had to keep AC on MAX which burns a lot more gas! I took my car back to BMW on 07/11/13 to have them fix it correctly. At the end of the day I get call from BMW service dept. basically saying there is nothing is wrong with my AC! The Rep and I were sitting in my car talking about the issues with the AC, the AC was MAX, the BMW service Rep is sitting there wiping sweat off his forehead looking stunned, he is trying to tell the AC inside the unit is putting out 40 degrees air (per their gauge), yet after 15 minute of talking the Car cabin is 80 degrees! He could not explain it and went to get the service dept. manager! Manager did everything the Rep did, even went to get a new 528i to show that AC is normal. My car is not Normal! I am still burning up and sweating especially at stop lights/signs, people in back seat is burning up, the air is not reaching them! The Manager keeps saying he can not fix what is not broken! The Manager refused fix the problem correctly! The Manager stated several time I cant fix what is not broken! It is obvious the New blower Regulator is faulty, its not blowing the air out enough to reach me! I just want my AC to work correctly like the day I bought this $57,000.00 Car! Put in a Brand New Blower Regulator!

I bought a 2011 BMW 135i (49k mileage) in the beginning of 2016 and during this short period of ownership. I have in and out the dealership(s) many times because of different kinds of failure on this Ultimate Failing Machine. The lucky thing is that I have Certified Pre-Owned Extended warranty that covers most repairs. The car has 56k mileage today. Those are the repairs I did for 9 months ownership:Weak air-conditioning due to evaporator leaking in AC system - a quote of repair cost ~$1200, fixed under warranty. DCT Transmission fluid leaking due to bad o-ring - unknown repair cost, fixed under warranty but I have to pay $2** for new DCT Transmission fluid. Otherwise they will reuse the old fluid and put them in after repair (!!!) Do you reuse toilet paper or condom(s)?Adaptive headlight control module failure - does not cover by CPO warranty. I paid $7** for the repair and reprogramming. High Pressure Fuel Pump failure and Rail pressure sensor failure - this is known issue in N54/N55 engine and the High Pressure Fuel Pump on my car failed in exact 55k mileage. The quote of repair is $17** + taxes + $175 diagnostic fee, fixed under warranty. A Xenon light bulb failure in one headlight - does not cover by CPO warranty. Paid $4** for a set of genuine BMW light bulb and DIY. Let imagine when you get this car with no warranty. How much you will have to spend on every repairs? Good luck with your BMW cars.

I bought this in April 2008 with 18,000 on it, as a 40 mile each way commuter, and with the Corbin seat and BMW bags already on it. I love it right from the start. It has massive torque, gobs of acceleration and is fast enough for me (I haven't had it flat out, but I've had an indicated 120 mph out of it without trying hard). I found it a little too buzzy for comfort around 4500 rpm. The Manic Salamander bar end weights (18.5 ounces instead of the stock 9.5 ounces) completely cured that. I found it very windy over 70 mph; Parabellum windshield, adjusted as high as it can go cured that. My other add-ons were for personal preference, not necessity. The bike is as reliable as a stone, comfortable all day, a joy to drive and magic through the twisties. At first I felt like I wasn't getting much feedback from the front suspension, then I realized it just was not having any problems, so there was nothing for it to tell me. It just goes around bends on any surface at any speed I've asked of it without fuss.

I have a major problem with my 2007 BMW X3! The motor mount brackets are broken and my engine isnt sitting in its correct place anymore! This sounds like a manufacturing defect and a huge safety issue (this is my family car and my family could have been seriously injured). I purchased my X3 certified pre-owned and added extended maintenance. This should be covered but BMW of Henderson, NV said that it is not, and would have occurred due to driver error. That is ** and I could have never caused this. I only drive on streets and highway roads, plus, I baby my car! I bought a BMW because of its reputation and am hugely disappointed! I wanted to stick with BMWs and planned to always own a BMW until this incident! A tech has been promised to come out to the dealership to try and find out why the MPG are so bad on a 2010. They e-mail me from headquarters between such and such day; they either dont call and let me know they are not coming, or I go and get a loaner and they come for ten minutes and then leave. This is actually the third time I have tried to have the car looked at. I cant just drop everything the night before and go and get the loaner and leave my car. Some of us do have other things to do in our lives. Communication between the dealer and the customer care of BMW is awful. You would think they would let you know the exact day and then have a loaner for you, not so. The dealer is also frustrated. Their follow-up service is the worst ever of any car I have owned, and that has been quite a few over the years.I paid over 4000 dollars extra for the car to get good gas mileage and have asked every time when I bring it for service to check it, and nothing changes.

In 2014 I decided I wanted to drive the ultimate driving machine. What a mistake. I asked my cousin who works at a dealership to locate something for me. In June 2014 I purchased my 2011 BMW 328i xdrive SULEV with 29k. I purchased extended warranty and Gap insurance for slightly over $30,000. I realized I overpaid but I was okay with it because I really wanted this vehicle. A few months into it my car began shaking violently and had a very rough idle. I had to replace spark plugs and coils. A few months after that it started having electrical problems. The car would turn off the heat, ac, radio, and lights. I had to replace an electrical module at 45k. I contacted BMW and they offered to pay 95%. I was satisfied until another few months went by and my car kept stalling, launching itself into traffic, shutting off and turning back on while I was on the highway, and wouldnt keep momentum. Turns out the fuel line broke off in my tank and I needed to replace the fuel tank at 50k. I called BMW again and they offered to replace it with only $250 out of my pocket... At this point I decided this car is a nightmare and I wanted out. Too upside down to replace it I decided Ive replaced enough and it should be good to go for a few years. NOW its idling rough again, hesitating to move and shaking violently once again. BMW offered me a $1,000 loyalty to trade out but dealerships are only offering $15,000 and I owe $26,000. For the age and mileage of this vehicle I should not have had it in the shop more than 5 times for serious maintenance. This car is a nightmare!!!! I would NEVER recommend BMW to friends or family members unless they dont mind having it in the shop more than on the road. Between electrical issues, faulty fuel pump/fuel line, coils, and an obnoxious ticking sound I have more of a headache than an ultimate driving machine. Its more like the ultimate pain in the butt. The cigarette lighter has never worked so I cannot plug in a GPS. When I have my ipod or Pandora playing the radio will randomly change the song or shut my music off and default to the radio. It also gets so hot that the radio stops working and says HIGH TEMP. It overheats and wont play music and turns off the AC or the heat randomly. For the price of these vehicles new and pre-owned they should not have THIS many issues. I have less than 65k on it and it constantly fails me. BMW is by far the worst vehicle I have ever owned. If youre considering a luxury brand try Lexus or Infiniti. BMWs are a waste of money!!

BMW is the Toyota of Germany. Reading all the reviews, the non-response of the company, and the mechanic/engine problems of the car, I cant help but remember what this company is selling - a prestige status symbol. Anyone whos thinking of buying a BMW needs to take a trip to Berlin, Germany first. In the debt-ridden capital, you will see that BMWs are the bread and butter cars of Germany. BMWs line up the streets next to homeless shelters, graffiti parks, and taxi stands. Delinquent juvenile teenagers drive a BMW. Older middle class ordinary citizens drive a BMW. People who have no teeth have a BMW. BMWs are just about the most commonplace car in Germany, like a Toyota Camry here. Somehow, the brilliant marketing campaign and the high price tag for initial purchase and maintenance have convinced North Americans that BMWs are a luxury ultimate driving machine. Autobahn sounds so cool in English. In German, auto means car, bahn means way (as in U Bahn, sub-way, S Bahn, another type of subway, and autobahn, car-way or highway). Before you think that the company will value your $400,000 spending over 10 years, think again. They dont really care as they are already laughing all the way to the bank. In fact, the more expensive the maintenance, the more prestigious the brand. The brand is for people who have money to burn. The more mechanic problems, breakdowns, and barriers the company creates, the more it sets the people apart in who can maintain this prestige factor. Before you buy a BMW, go to Germany and spend a week in the major cities and walk around the poor areas. And once you see how commonplace BMWs are, the more youll think twice about doing what you are doing.

I am on my 6th BMW which happened to be a CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED BMW. The last 5 were purchased New and after the CPO experience being described to me by a sales associate, I determined to purchase a CPO BMW instead of new. What a mistake! The car was visually perfect and mechanically appeared fine on the test drive before purchase, but there were a plethora of engine and transmission issues the week after purchase. With less than 30,000 miles, I had no idea what I was getting into with this plagued car, not to mention all the interior cracks and creaking and the deferred maintenance that no one paid any attention to on the vehicle.I asked BMW North America for compensation for my time spent, almost 20 hours of driving, waiting, telephone calls, troubleshooting, exchanging rental cars, paying for rental cars, etc. and after 3 weeks they called me back stating that they will not honor any compensation. Disgusting. This will be my last BMW, and I will be sure to share this experience with my circle of car enthusiasts.

I have a 2003 BMW X5 purchased new from BMW Mississauga. As I live in Ontario, we do have some cold days. On several occasions during December and January, the two front doors were frozen and I could only enter the car through the passenger door on the drivers side. After driving the X5 into a warm garage, I was able to open the two front doors after some 45 minutes. I took the vehicle to BMW Mississauga to have the two door locks repaired and I was presented with a bill for $1,010.00. To be charged anything for a BMW defect is in itself somewhat unfair, however, to be charged over $1,000 is almost criminal.

Re: 2007X3. Many times since, approximately the vehicle had 60K miles, prior to my 100k miles warranty running out, even though I was experiencing problems with my transmission (i.e. not shifting properly, clunking when shifting, noise and jerking when shifting), the Service Dept. told me there was nothing wrong. Now that I have 120k miles on it and my X3 will not go into AWD, I am told by Erhard that my transmission differential needs a $1,400 repair. I have never missed maintenance and at the last maintenance, I was complaining about my transmission.I would like my transmission problem fixed at no cost to me. It seems BMW, blew me off to get me through until my warranty was up (extended to 100k that I paid for). Very disappointing and too costly for me. My wife and I both own BMWs and will be going to a different make vehicle because of the deceitful treatment I have received. Something should be done about BMWs lack of responsibility when it comes to taking care of warranty issues.

DO NOT buy car from this dealer!!! This deal is selling you a defective car!!! I purchased a brand new 2020 X7 from this dealer. And the car was broken after 7 days driving: 1. The touch screen is 100% off, I cannot control anything on the display. 2. The bluetooth wipe out my and my wifes phone (Andriod and iPhone both) connection 3 time a week, which mean we need to reconnect/reconfigure our phone connection every other day. 3. The battery is dead permanently, the error signal was on when I purchased it originally, but the sales told me it will be back to normal after couple days driving. But after 1 week driving, the battery error signal is still there, and need to be replaced. 4. The rubber seal on the front end hook is coming out, and looks really ugly and do not match the BMW brand at all. 5. The auto lock is not function at all. After enabling this feature, the auto lock still not working at all. This feature is very normal one on any premium brand car back to 5+ year ago. I personally own another Acura and Tesla, all of cars have this function and there is no problems to use such function in the past 3 years.6. All of the cellphone app remote control function is not working on my car. I cannot lock/unlock/flash/horn the car via the phone app.I drop off the car 5 calendar days (4 business) ago. And service department is still working on it, from the time it took, I can definitely tell this is not a small issue. Since the service adviser told me, replacing a new battery will only cost them half business day. So for sure, there is a huge defective on this brand new X7 car. I am really surprised that this dealer will sell defective car to the customer, especially on such high end/premium 7 series product line. Update @2020-06-24: After 5 days waiting, today afternoon the service department just called me back, saying the display is totally off, and cannot be fixed by them. So they decided to order a new display from BMW, and the new part will by arrived in Friday (so another 3 business days waiting). And then they will need to replace the display part completely! Can you imagine this is what happened to a brand NEW X7, with 7 days driving and only less than 200 mileage.

On July 31, 2011, I bought my first and last BMW. I bought a brand new X3. I loved the car at first and then months in, the problems started happening. Let me first state that when I bought my X3, the back hatch did not open and close properly. The struts were broken. The first time I had issues, I was driving and the dash alerted me that my back hatch was open when in fact it was closed. Then the alert went away, but my hazards started flashing. I called the service department and they had me bring my vehicle in. They tried to tell me that because the struts were broken, it was tripping the system. So they fixed the struts.A month later, while I stopped at a stop light, my back hatch opened all on its own. Then within that same week, while driving up my drive way at a speed of 15mph, my back hatch opened all on its own again. So I called the service department again. And again I took my car to the service department. They kept my car for almost a week, only to conclude that they couldnt duplicate the problem. Therefore, they couldnt fix the problem. Another month goes by. While driving on the freeway, this time the dash alerted me: 1) Back hatch open. Then the alert goes away moments later; 2) The hazards start flashing; 3) The windshield wipers start swiping, and the windshield wiper fluid starts spraying; 4) And an alert on my dash states, Windshield wiper system failure. That alert flashed twice.I currently have my car in the service department and I’m at my wit’s end. I thought this company built good, dependable cars. All I have experienced is problems. My car isnt even a year old. The company has told me that in order to buy back my car, I have to pay them $3,500. I think that’s totally unacceptable. I never want to do business with BMW again.

Ive 3 BMW in the past 5 years. 2010 BMW 335, 2010 X5, 2012 X3. Never will I purchase another one again. My 335 went out at 3000 miles. My x5 went out at 20000 miles. Never even drove that car, but had it beyond my warranty, so I had to spend $2500 replacing spark plugs and some engine coils. My x3 have constant tire pressure errors! Bought the tire and wheel warranty straight from the dealership. The sales guy told me that if anything goes wrong with my wheel or if theres a scratch on the wheel they will replace it free of charge. Man was I told a lie. BMW refuses to replace my wheel. WOW these cars are POS. Thought I could switch from Mercedes and Lexus. I think Im going back with them.

I am sending this complaint because I would like to leave a precedent in relation to BMWs poor service (customer service, car technical service department, and the financial department). When I got my car lease BMW in 2016, I got the tire and wheel protection they offered me. But it was the worst decision I took. This protection never cover me beside is the worst protection according with the policy. I got the tires and Wheels insurance which covered any damage that might arise. A few weeks ago I saw the need to carry my car because the screen showed that the tires on the back of the car were with air deficit, in addition to a physical malformation that we noticed one of the wheels (bowel). After reviewing it in the service, they came to the conclusion that the two rear tires had to be changed, but that the insurance only covered one, and the other would not be covered because it did not have a hole or a nail. Irresponsible situation on the part of them, taking into account that if I had continued with that car because of that bad physical formation of the tire I could have exposed myself to having an accident that could possibly have generated death or physical damage. I explained the situation and obtained the advice of both mechanics, lawyers, and BMW employees, who concluded that they did not know why I had not covered the insurance. Finally pay to be able to withdraw my car. Now I receive a bill where I have to pay the dealers fee in addition to a remaining payment. I think BMW irresponsible, because in my case I was forced to deliver the car before the time because I did not feel safe driving a car in which I had no guarantees. Because of this, I am in the process of sending a complaint to the BBB or consult it having illegal process initiated. Thank you.

I absolutely love the 2017 BMW 7-Series. This is my second BMW and its my all time favorite. This car drives like nothing I have driven before. I had owned a series 3 prior to this purchase and found that it was easy to park, but just not big enough for everything we do. That was the main determining factor in purchasing this car. The leg room in the back is what you find in the front seat. No worrying about the front seat hitting your knees when the front seat is adjusted. With the front seats as far back as possible, there is still ample leg room, even for a tall person. The only thing that I have an issue about is the hefty repair charges. In the previous car, quite a bit after the warranty expired, I needed some repairs done. After purchasing the new model, we found the repair bill for the old car. It was nearly the amount that we put down as the cash deposit. Repairs can get expensive but it is worth it. All the controls are easy to read and figure out. The music that comes with the car is phenomenal. I have never heard speakers sound this good in factory sound system. Typically if you want sounds this good you would need to purchase a new stereo package as an after purchase add on. Also, the way it hugs the corners and curves is unbelievable. This is the smoothest ride ever.

I have a very high threshold for dissatisfaction, but my recent experience with BMW caused me to take the time to document my experience as I wanted to share how bad it was with as many consumers as possible to save you from the same experience. I have spent over $400K on five 7-series cars over the last 15+ years as an extremely loyal BMW buyer. My current $100K+ 750iL just passed over 65K miles and the extended warranty expired and to my surprise, mechanical issues have not stopped materializing! I contacted BMW NA to find out what $400K over 15+ years of loyalty meant to them. Evidently, it means nothing! They pushed me to a call center rep who was clueless and of zero assistance, and she kept to the script. I guess BMW feels that everyone will just cave and do nothing when they are pushed aside. It shocks me that in the current environment where brand loyalty is critical to the corporate bottom line, BMW obviously feels that someone in their mid-40s who will be in their target market for the next 40 years has no value. I wonder if Mercedes and Audi feel the same way? Extremely dissatisfied in Barrington!

Call BMW Canada and tell me Sorry, your warranty is over. We can not cover any cost. As we know all the recall from the USA DO NOT APPLY IN CANADA, they are only on a voluntary basis from the car manufacturer. I install the replacement engine and had to fix all the years 2010 production problem at my own cost. IE new fuel pump, injector and repair of the waste gate, no help because the recall apply only in the USA. This was my first and last BMW because of seizing injector leak hydro lock engine.

I bought a CPO - BMW E92 M3 2008 model, which had done 39,000 miles. Car was good. Clutch was hard from the beginning. Just drove 4000 miles over a period of 3 months... and then I keep hearing this click sound every time I changed gear... and the car diagnostic showed no problem. But when I went for servicing, they told me… broken pressure plates which I paid $2400 to get it fixed, and told me its not covered under CPO. I was very upset. Then after a week I got the car and just driving the car for 100 miles, the clutch gets stuck to the floor and I almost missed a major car accident. I was this close to death… because the car halted at 40 mph in the middle of the road. I am so disappointed with BMW. The car is still under CPO.

I purchased a BMW X5 on August 9/15 and have had good experience with the free maintenance on an annual basis. As I approached the 4 year expire date (August 9/19) I was not able to have the vehicle service before that date. I planned to have the vehicle serviced for the last free visit on September 9/19 and was told that the agreement had expired and that there would be no further free visit. As I had initially paid more than I should have for the vehicle (including 4 free maintenance visits) I feel that the final visit should have been honored. I contacted BMW USA and they (unfortunately) will not allow any maintenance past the expiry date. This is a warning to others before you purchase a BMW - DO NOT MISS YOUR FINAL VISIT. On July 29, 2010, I purchased a 2010 BMW 3 Series 328xi at BMW of Orland Park. The purchase included a balance of factory warranty for four years or 50,000 miles on all parts. The air conditioning was blowing warm air when the controls were set to cool and I took my car to the service department on May 18, 2013. The service department rep said the refrigerant was low, there were no leaks found and that he will evacuate and recharge the system. He also said dye will be added to help determine the location of the leak. The system was then blowing cool. I had no reason to suspect that the service department was not working in good faith to resolve the problem. The air conditioner was blowing warm air when the controls were set to cool again and I took my car to the service department on May 23, 2014. The service department rep said the refrigerant was low, there were no leaks found and that he will evacuate and recharge the system. I requested that the air conditioner system is repaired or replaced. He also said it is difficult to do diagnostics for a refrigerant leak and that an oil will be added to help determine the location of the leak. The system was then blowing cool and I was charged $209.19. I had no reason to suspect that the service department was not working in good faith to resolve the problem. The air conditioner was blowing warm air when the controls were set to cool again and I took my car to the service department on March 31, 2015. I explained to the service department rep named, Craig, that I am not willing to pay for diagnostics, evacuation and a refrigerant recharge again. I requested that the air conditioner system is repaired or replaced. I also requested that BMW, at the minimum, assist with the cost since the warranty was still active and not utilized at the initial appointment when I reported the air conditioner not working properly. I entered a caveat beneath my signature on the work order that I only agree to have the air conditioner system reviewed for subsequent repair and/or replacement. I told Craig at least four times during the consultation, I do not want to pay for an evacuation and recharge procedure.Craig told me the AC condenser could be damaged from a rock, so hell have to check out the whole system anyway, especially since its out of warranty. I explained to Craig that since the car was not out of warranty the previous two times I reported the issue, some consideration should be given to me as a customer. Craig said he will check with BMW and see if they will help pay as a good-will gesture. He said BMW would probably pay 85% of the cost. I told Craig that I am a single small woman who is financially alone and that I cannot afford to pay $300 every year for diagnostics, evacuation and a refrigerant recharge because I do plan to keep the car. I am planning to retire within the next five years and this is not in my budgetary agenda. Also, I explained if I were to pay $300 every year for the next five years, I would have paid to have the air conditioner system replaced.Craig responded by saying that he was not independently wealthy either. So I left my car with the understanding that every effort would be made to determine how the air conditioner system would be repaired and/or replaced. Craig called me on March 31, 2015 and asked for my permission to keep my car for another day. He said, they couldnt find anything wrong with the air conditioner system and will continue to try to find the problem. I agreed.Craig called me on April 1, 2015 and again asked for my permission to keep my car for another day. He said, they couldnt find anything wrong with the air conditioner system and will continue to try to find the problem. I sighed and he said, and I quote, Hey, Im trying to help you out. Were checking out the evaporator coil and trying to see if its the factory. Even though his tone was unprofessional, I agreed. It was at this conversation I began to suspect that he was not working in good faith to resolve the problem and that there is no recourse for me.Craig called me on April 2, 2015 and said he couldnt find anything wrong with the air conditioner system or any leaks. I asked him if an evacuation and refrigerant recharge was done and he said yes. He did exactly what I asked not to be done. I told him I was not pleased that this issue was not resolved as I requested. He said he did me a favor because he charged me for only one unit of refrigerant and he put in two units. When I asked why cant the system be repaired or replaced, he said they dont know what part to repair or replace. I am so discouraged and angry that I was not given a more intelligent explanation. BMW can build machines for which they cannot repair? He said he will notate on the invoice, that next time, I will not have to pay for the diagnostics. He said maybe next time Ill get a convertible for the loaner car.Craig suggested that I pick up my car in the morning because traffic was heavy on La Grange Road that time of the evening and he wont be there. I dont use La Grange Road to travel to Ziegler BMW and I wasnt interested to seeing him considering my disappointment to the way this issue was handled. So I picked up my car within 45 minutes after being notified to do so. When I got into my car, it stunk like cigarette smoke and sweat. I was provided a loaner car in the interim. The loaner/rental car agreement for a temporary substitute vehicle indicates, No smoking or a $250.00 fine will be charged. A copy of my credit card was obtained to ensure payment should I breach the no smoking policy. However, I am not being compensated to have my car deodorized. In summation, I am extremely saddened to be treated with such disrespect and callousness. I purchased a BMW because I need a reliable car. I also chose BMW because I suspected that I would receive the kind of customer service that would equate with the kind of product I purchased. I am extremely upset and dissatisfied about this issue. I feel very uncomfortable to use BMW for any of my automotive needs. However, I am still interested receiving a satisfactory remedy from BMW as previously requested.

I recently purchased 2012 BMW 5 series. It was 51k miles on it and this car had a very good maintenance record. I was thinking thats a very good deal to get a low mileage, well maintained and reliable car. But as for now it appears to be the worst purchase I ever made in my life. I drove it for few month (now it has 57k miles) and got transmission fail for no reason, BMW service asking for $6500 for repairs. How it could happens on that ridiculous mileage? I drove many other brands and some of them was well over 100k miles on it, and were just changing oil. So Ill probably fix it and sell right away accepting loss, I totally lost my confidence in BMW, thats garbage. Dont want to wait until engine will fail in next few thousand miles. BMW Goodwill only works for valued customers who already spend fortune for them. My point is that BMW cars is a total junk! Only can drive it within the warranty period when they will have to take care of their junk. Thanks.

I was extremely disappointed and furious with the service the guys at BMW of Dallas provided. This is not something you expect from a luxury car dealership. It was utterly unprofessional and zero consideration for a customer’s inconvenience and situation. My car was towed in Monday morning at 10am from work and I was being handled by a service adviser Andrew ** reporting to service manager Ricardo **. He was probably the worst guy in terms of communication. I don’t expect them to keep me updated on my cars status every few minutes but at least 1 phone call/email or text in this day and age to let me know an ETA so I could plan my ride back home from work. I usually take my car to another BMW dealership in Plano, TX Classic BMW and they are very professional. Being a BMW dealership, I expected a similar professionalism and style of communicating with their customers.I finally get a call from Andrew (this was after my multiple calls, voicemails to find out if the car had made it to the shop or not since I didn’t ride along with the tow truck) to let me know at around noon that they had received the car and will let me know what the charges maybe before they work on it. Again, no update until 4:15pm and that was again after me following up multiple times trying to find out an ETA so I could plan on my ride back home and pick up kids from after school care. I talk to him and he said he was unable to replicate the issue and thus they couldn’t fix the issue. My bill was about $300 for diagnostic fees. At that point I was furious as after all that lack of communication, he had the temperament to let me know that there was an outstanding bill.I let him know that I was very disappointed and upset with his way of communication and all he had to say was they were extremely busy and I was not their only customer. This was the last thing I expected to hear from a luxury dealership like BMW. I asked him I wanted to talk to his manager, Ricardo ** who was obviously not available to talk to me that time. Ricardo (also goes by Ricky) calls me at 7pm Monday evening to apologize and say that he expects his staff to at least communicate with their customers and let them know what the status may be. I told him I would be over tomorrow (Tuesday) to pick up the car.Tuesday a.m. (day 2) when I called them to notify that I was going to need a shuttle pick up from my work (which is about 8 mi. 15 min drive), Carlos at their shuttle desk told me he would have someone at 3pm to pick me up. I wrapped up my meeting and was waiting outside for my ride. I call them at 3:20 p.m. to check on the status and talk to Carlos after multiple transfers on their phone and long holds, he tells me that the shuttle is picking up other customers and will come get me in next 10-15 mins. At that point, it would have been 3:45 p.m. I finally get tired of waiting and get a ride to the dealership. We reach there at about 4:15 and I called Carlos again to check on the shuttle status out of curiosity and he tells me the guy should be there in another 15 mins?? At that time, it would have been maybe 4:30 p.m. or more. There was no apology or remorse from Carlos either at that point. So basically they didn’t care or feel bad keeping their customers stranded for over 1.5 hours. Again no communication whatsoever to let me know what the status of the shuttle was or any type of intention to remediate the problem. I met Ricardo finally in person and told him how upset I was. He said he had talked to Andrew about his lack of communication but I really doubt if he had taken any action. It is Wednesday afternoon and I yet have not heard anything back from Andrew ** in terms of any voicemail or emails? When I left, I had a letter attached to my receipt that asked to provide a customer feedback from their client experience manager Erika **. I left her a detailed voice message yesterday about my experience on my way back home, but another example where the manager has not gotten back to me at all.I feel the issue seems to be with the team there where they don’t think their customers need to be treated with utmost priority and professionalism. Especially when there has been so much of an inconvenience and hassle for someone, there was no effort on their part to get back and try to make amends. This was one of the worst experience having to deal with a dealership in terms of communication and way they treat their customers. VERY DISAPPOINTED. NOT RECOMMENDING TO ANYONE IN THE FUTURE TO USE THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT.

I bought a x5 2009 with 36.000 miles. Because I never had good reviews about BMW cars and my wife want this car so much, I bought a extended warranty for $5000. Now the car is 51000 miles and it is leaking oil from the valve cover and is leaking oil from the main seal and needs motor mount. The car is service at BMW. The technician said he was going to have to lower the engine and transmission in order to change the main seal. Also, he said BMW that doesnt leak oil is not a BMW (sarcastic). $2000 job, thanks God I bought the extended warranty. My last car was a 2002 Acura mdx, drove 9 years, put 187,000 miles, never leak any oil and the only money I spent in that car was a tune up I did when the car was around 120.000 miles. My next car will be a Lexus gx460, the real ultimate drive machine!! Bmw is good for the rich people, they lease for 2 years then return and get another one. Bmw cars after 2 years of use, it start to fall apart.

They returned my car stating they would contact me later to finish the job after a part they needed came in. A few months later they called me to bring my car back in. A week later, I received a call from a service department person saying they broke the engine coil off my car and will have to take the whole engine out now. Im nervous because my car was driving fine before I got the letter and the call to bring my car back in to BMW. The guy who kept communicating with me said hes going on vacation for a week but someone else he named would be taking care of things. No one contacted me about my car. When he returned from vacation he called. He said he was back and they are waiting on a part and when it come in they will pull my engine out.I asked, Will it driving like it was when I bought it in? He replied, It should be better. Im knowing, nothing was wrong with my car. I didnt even know why or what needed updating. He said the mechanic is going on vacation now for a week. A week later he called saying, Im just calling to keep you informed and we have another car engine on the table right now and as soon as we finish with it, were going to put yours on it. My husband is in from Florida and hes asking me how do a car going in for updates end up having the engine pulled out of it? He following up saying, Once they pull your engine it will never drive the same again. Another friend whom is a Director at a college stated they would have to give me a warranty stating if anything happens to my engine they will fix it no matter what the problem is or give me a new car. Im more scared and upset. The following week the service person call me again on Friday saying, Well we finally got your car in and getting ready to work on it and you should have it back by Tuesday or Wednesday. So far they have had my car a month so I drove to BMW when they were closed on that Sunday and across the street from them sit my car with a small plate hanging off the front of it by a wire and parked crooked. Now, Im upset and all trust of the one keeping me informed is all out the window. I called and left him a message about me seeing my car on the other lot. He called back saying they are working on it now and it should be ready by the end of the day. I said to him, Im concerned about my car sitting for weeks and whether it will run right. He told me they ensure whatever parts they put on it for two years. I didnt feel that was good enough.I got a call from him later saying, Your car is ready but in all honesty I just dont feel right giving you back your car without the mechanic driving it for the whole weekend and hes getting ready to put some miles on your car. I said, Well have him drive it on the highway to make sure its driving ok and he said he will. Maybe the mechanic is driving it out of town for the 4th of July.My car is a fully loaded pearl color 750Li xDrive Super Sport Twin Turbo Engine, which I made a payment on in June as it sat on BMW lot due to their mistake. They tried to put me in a 3-Series. I wouldnt take it so they put me in a 5-Series with Sam Swope courtesy vehicle in big bold letters across the back window and had me return it because they sold it, they said. I had it for over three weeks. They put me in a black 5-Series afterwards that is more up to date and I still have it. Basically, BMW has had my car for about 6 weeks and the mechanic still have it at his house right now somewhere.

I am a big loyal long time fan of BMW (German Engineering).I was referred friends family to buy BMW cars based on my experience. Finally that came to an end. Little story - First time I took my 2008 BMW X5 (36K miles) on a vacation out of Colorado with my family (Wife and Little daughter). I drove from Boulder, CO to LA and was driving this big guy was fun. Stayed in LA couple weeks then I went to San Diego to see zoo and Sea World. On Saturday we went to zoo, came back and drive my BMW x5 to Los Angles Americas shopping center. Had good time shopping center and finished the dinner. Then got in to X5. Started the car. Something unusual. Heard some big fan noise and then opened bonnet and looked for noise. Fan was running like chopper blades. Thought it’s because of air-conditioning is running in full mode. Then drive the car for 1 mile and suddenly engine over heating symbol displayed on dashboard. Then I took my car in near gas station (it was midnight, 10:30 PM in new place) and stopped. Luckily internet was on my smart phone and searched the internet for this problem and found lots of postings. After reading these posts, I understand something went wrong in engine cooling system. I called my insurance guy to tow the car and drop at nearest BMW dealer. Tow guys showed up in 30 minutes and off loaded all the things out of my car and handed it tow guys. My hotel is quite far and I need a car to go to sea world next day .I took taxi to airport to rent a car. Around 2 AM reached hotel...I was trusting BMW than any other brand because all that I was feeling that BMW are made finest engineering company and will not break down at least within 60k miles. My perception was wrong. Today morning I got a call from dealer and said electronic water pump is broken. The repair cost would be 1300 USD.I searched internet and NHTSA for recalls. I found one recall 11V521000 about the same issue. BMW recalled 2008-1011. I called BMW Customer Care about the same thing. They took around 55 minutes to find the recall information. Finally they said your VIN is not under the list. My problem is same exact problem what they recalled for. The supervisor was very rude (Her name is CASEY **, Resolution Specialist, Customer Relation Department) at me and behaved like she is the only decision maker in BMW. I felt really very bad and regretting why I bought BMW. The colleague was next to me was able to hear all the conversation. He is worried now because he owns X5 and M3. What bad service from BMW.

I was a very happy owner of my BMW X3 until my seat belt latch fail to work and had to be replaced because my seatbelt would not lock. I have never experienced a problem like this before in automobile regardless of make or model. What those this say to me as a consumer that BMW do not give a damn about me or my safety. This could have meet my life. BMW you really need to take this seriously. Do you care about your brand or your image. What auto maker would put the consumer risk. BMW we have a problem.

I purchased this vehicle brand new. During the warranty period, there were issues that were resolved. However, at only 67k miles the car is no longer under warranty and starting to fall apart. My problems have been a bad blower motor, steering angle sensor and water pump. Its unfortunate that BMW strives on quality when their vehicles cannot reach 100k. From my experience, BMW is overrated and their customer service is even worse.

I have a 2007 BMW 328xi that I have been having gear, transmission and electrical, air conditioning issues. The car shuts off, stalls and shuts off, air conditioner doesnt work, alert lights on dashboard light up and now gears arent shifting and car cannot move into drive, reverse, neutral and park. So now I have no car. BMW has just given me the run around not addressing the problems finding other issues just to cover and hide their blatant disregard of the 3 series issues. I saw that there are many complaints and the there is a place to officially file a complaint to NHTA 888-327-4236. Please file a complaint if you’re experiencing any issues. BMW cant continue to ignore the issues and try to hide all complaints like they dont exist! And someone gets killed. Please FB or Twitter to get the word out!

This is my current car. I have had it 8 years. It is a 2004 E46 BMW M3, I think it is the most beautiful of the M3s (probably biased). It is such a fast car and can quickly lull you into thinking 100 mph is 50 mph. The brakes and handling add to the effect. Always keep an eye on the speedometer! Its 2 door sedan bodywork is very practical. There are seat belts for 5 inside. My car has unusual Caramel leather upholstery with Birds Eye Maple wood trim. These M3s are starting to go up in value which is a nice surprise. I would recommend that anyone that can should invest in a M3 now before they increase in value much more.

I had service done at Vista BMW in Coconut Creek, FL after receiving via email service coupons and discounts. After the service was done and the emailed coupons were presented the Service Manager denied and did not apply the coupons. 20% discount was offered on any service done at the dealer. After the service was done, the manager refused to apply the coupon and pointed out the fine print. This coupon is very deceiving as it was very clear that they wanted to get customers pulled into the dealership for service thru this offer, only to turn it down when it was time to pick up the vehicle.

I have a 2007 BMW for my wife. It has only 60,000 miles on it. I have bought an extended warranty for it. Every month, it has some minor issues, which i get fixed. This month again, it was the radiator hose. I have to pay $480 for a radiator hose. I am very upset. This is a very well maintained car, but it never is trouble free, and every trip to the dealer end up costing me money. As a lifetime BMW customer, I have never felt this disgusted. I definitely want to get a refund on this outrageous charges.

My car has 56k miles on it, this should not be happening. I called BMW customer service, and was told it was normal maintenance. I was quoted $705 to fix this problem. NOT HAPPY!!!! This is my first and last BMW!!! Also, at 51k miles (1k out of warranty), my rear brake rotors needed replacement. I was told, sorry, its out of warranty. Thanks for NOTHING BMW!!!!

I bought my 323i in 2002 with 50,000 miles. Ive spent more on unscheduled maintenance and breakdowns in each and every year than I ever spent in the entire 17 years I owned my Honda (which racked up 240,000 virtually trouble-free miles, by the way). Now at a paltry 115,000 miles, the BMW transmission has failed and the car is a total loss due to repair cost. Is there no limit to the level of embarrassment and engineering ineptitude BMW NA will endure before they step up and address just a few of their chronic reliability issues?

I purchased a new 325i in 04 and drove it for 11 years. For the first 100,000 miles, it had absolutely zero issues. Never had to take it in unless for an oil/battery change. Overall I was very pleased with having purchased a German car, until it reached 140k miles. In a 6 month span, my 04 325i (worth only $5,000) has broken down SEVEN times. In this timeframe I have invested close to $7,000 solely in repairs. This car has broken down on the side of the road (needed new fuel pump, $700), the window motor needed to be replaced ($600), crack in radiator (had to replace entire radiator, $1,400), needed new air pump and strut replaced ($1,800) yet another radiator replacement ($1000), and finally, when I started my car the exhaust spewed white smoke with the smell of gas (hoses and valves and a gasket were replaced, $1,400). Do NOT purchase a BMW or any German car for that matter. These cars are completely unreliable and not meant to be driven for hundreds of thousands of miles. There is a reason dealerships will only cover maintenance for the first 90k miles. Dont be penny smart and dollar stupid! These foreign cars are not worth it!

I got a lemon. This is the most expensive car I ever paid for. I had driven many different types of cars. So far this 2009 BMW 335i gave me so many troubles. My car is 19,500 miles and since December 2011, my car had been at the shop for 13 times. It’s in the shop again right now and I dont know when Im going to get it back. Its one problem after another. BMW advertised their cars as the ultimate driving machine, I think the quality of their cars had felt way below standard. There is nothing I can do about it since besides selling it. Dont bother to call their service manager or BMW of North America to waste your time. You will be going around in circles and you will find yourself angrier with gaining nothing. I had drove BMW for many years. Bottom line is, do not buy any BMW, the quality of their cars is not built like before.

I purchased a BMW-X1 series from Sanghi Classic (BMW showroom) at Jaipur on 16/8/12. Now its total running kilometer is 14,214 km till date. But after that, we found that my vehicle is not running properly - On speed of 100 km, my vehicle trembles automatically which may cause serious accident at any time. We have a Honda CRV for the last 5 years and have changed the tires of the vehicle, and now, after running for more than 100,000 km, there is no damage in any of the tires. But in just running for 14,214 km of the BMW vehicle, we found that the condition of the tire is worst from the inside and in a very worst condition and is very risky to drive or travel. So please look in to the matter and replace the same with a new one. Thanks and regards.

I purchased a certified pre owned (CPO) 2006 325i sedan from Center BMW in Sherman Oaks, CA. with 54k miles for less than $30k. I was 24 years old, recent college grad, and just bought my dream car, I was happy. Within a year of purchasing, I experienced problems. The dealership fixed whatever was under warranty for the next 2 years (as per the CPO warranty). In the 6 years I have had this car, I have put on 63 miles, so now it is over 100k miles. I took care of my car and gave it whatever attention it needed, right away.Once the warranty was over, I experienced more problems that I had to pay for on my own: new Xenon headlight, all 6 pistons back firing (at different times over the 6 years), transmission gave out, power window on rear passenger side broke, window locks broke, driver side door handle/lock broke, display on radio broke, starter broke, rear view mirror broke off window, interior of steering wheel peels off, rear window molding had to be replaced twice, driver window motor stalls, passenger front door lock motor stalls, molding around passenger rear window leaks and water gets in with rain/car wash.Molding of roof racks peeling, car rattles when you turn the wheels to the furthest point possible while driving, especially on an incline, car rattles/shakes when the AC is on and car is at a complete stop, AC turns on automatically randomly, exterior lights on drivers side stay on when car is off and locked (randomly), BMW symbol on hood peeled and faded, and there is a loud, embarrassing rattle coming from underneath the car.For 20% of these problems, the dealership fixed under warranty. The rest they claimed were not under warranty and I had to pay for out of pocket. For about 30% of these problems, I took my car into the dealership 3 times and they could not figure out the cause and suggested I would fix and pay out of my pocket, even when the warranty was still valid. They claimed the warranty did not cover since they could not find the root of the cause and I would have to pay for time and labor for the dealership to take the car apart and figure out the root of the problem and then determine if the problem would be covered by warranty. The third time I caved in and paid for labor/time for the diagnostics and after all that the dealership told me the problem was not covered by warranty.Center BMW just sold me a lemon and sucked every penny out of my dream car. I finally got fed up and wrote a letter to the corporate offices explaining to them how unhappy I was with my BMW and how the dealership handled the problems and also mentioned how the lemon I purchased was a disappointment since I received a poor quality car that did not live up to the reputation BMW holds. Their response was there was nothing BMW would do once the warranty expired and the owner was responsible for all repairs.

I bought my R1100RT brand new in Oct., 2000. i rode her daily back and forth on Los Angeles freeways for a year. I put 31,000 on her during first year. She handled very well in rough traffic: stops on a dime and has the ability to power you out of tight spots like a rocket if need be. I rode her recreationally over the next couple of years, and due to knee surgery, I had to park her in my garage over the 2003-2004 time period. Occasional starts during 2005 ended with a dead battery, and her sitting quietly in my garage until the spring of 2012 (yes 7 years). I FINALLY put a new battery in her and she started up with a chug, until I put fresh gas in her. She rode like a champ and I had her serviced within a week. I've put almost 800 miles on her in the first two weeks of bringing her back to life and she hasn't missed a beat. I was thinking about trading her in for a new R1200RT, but after riding her and enjoying the looks of onlookers, I don't think I could ever get rid of her. This is one great machine built by one great company. If you have one; keep it.

I have a 2007 BMW 335i that I bought from a BMW dealer. The car is a CPO car. I have had a constant problem with the car burning oil. It uses about a quart of oil every 750 miles. I took the car into the dealer when I realized that there was indeed a problem. Their course of action was to do an oil study. What that meant was that I had to take it back to the dealer every time that the oil warning indicator went off, and that they would verify that the car had a problem. After many trips and quite a few hours sitting at The BMW Dealer, they did verify that the car was indeed using a lot of oil.On two occasions they kept the car for a few days to check it out. They said that they could find anything wrong with the car. I contacted BMW North America on their website, and they came back, telling me that 750 miles per quart was normal. Since then my CPO warranty has gone out, and I am stuck with this problem. On the plus side, the car is a lot of fun to drive. This has been a bad experience for me. I have had the car in the shop once since then. More problems, amounting to a $1,000.00 repair bill for what should have been minor things. I will never buy another BMW and cannot recommend them to anyone else. I also have a Lexus - five years old and ZERO problems. I would love to hear from anyone else that has had oil issues.

Leased a 2013 328xi, brand new, off the lot! Loved the car for the first six months until I was driving one day and the car shut off while driving down a back road. An error code read on the screen, so I called BMW. They manually reset the code, car started right up and drove home. I didnt think anything of it until a month later, Im driving 70 miles on the highway and the car shuts off again! Called BMW and drove the car directly to the dealership. They had the car for a week and couldnt replicate the issue and blamed it on the cold winter we were having even though the car is garaged. Fast-forward another 3 months.. Its spring, warm outside and car shuts down again driving on the highway. This time, almost got into an accident and since I was close to the dealership, drove right there. I refused to take the car back until they figured out the cause, and cold weather wasnt to blame. They had the car almost a full month and couldnt replicate the issue. They claim that there was a loose rear distribution box and fuel pump. Three weeks later, car is back in for check engine light. I get the car back but called corporate BMW and got a complete runaround. Three times in one year the car shuts off, COMPLETELY UNSAFE! After a month of going back and forth with a resolution specialist, BMW refuses to terminate the lease and offers a credit for money toward the lease. NOT ACCEPTABLE!! Still trying to climb the corporate ladder and find someone to speak to. What happens if the next shut off cause an accident?? They dont care, no customer service, and no regard for safety. They say you get what you pay for, well apparently not in this case.

I own a 650I, bought it from BMW dealer, always had it serviced by BMW dealer. At around 80,000 miles after having repeated problems with transmission, I was told I needed a new transmission and it was not covered by warranty. Also was told I need engine rebuilt! And also out of warranty! This car cost over $100,000, what type of valve stem guides do they use that they wear out at such low miles, not to mention a transmission, both items last longer on a $30,000 Honda... How pathetic!I spoke with BMW North America. They refused to warranty the defective items, and if one would check the new engines in BMWs, they would find most are burning oil very prematurely because the new engine design is built with sub par parts... This is a car costing over $100,000.00. I am disgusted with this horrible excuse of a luxury vehicle and more so the haughty attitude of BMW. One more thing, the dealer I was using Checkered Flag is horrible. They returned my car after a service, 4 quarts low on oil. When I called them, they said the oil sensor was faulty, when actually it was their lazy and inept service approach. I have engaged the services of a lawyer on this one!

I purchased an R1200 ST in March 2011. The bike was not serviced or registered in my name upon delivery, and came without the spare key. A week later, the clutch gave in. It was only three weeks later before the registration and an agreement to repair the bike were done. After the second wash, scratches appeared on the tank and covers. A long debate and threats ensued to have the bike repaired, with a promise that it would receive priority treatment. A month later, the bike was delivered without keys, service book and the same scratches. The keys were delivered two days later at 02:00 in the morning. Currently, Im trying to locate my service book from the dealer with no response. BMW SA refused to assist me with my original complaint, and now with the service book. My fiances 2006 Cooper S with 71,000 miles and with all scheduled maintenance done as scheduled has thrown a connecting rod destroying the engine. I had requested some assistance from Mini USA and was denied only because it is a little bit out of warranty. After listening to an interview on Whiteroof radio, its obvious there are known problems with the engines from a few years ago that have been fixed but that does us absolutely no good. The dealer where we took it cant even give a good reason (oil level was fine) why this would happen. It is still there after 3 weeks waiting to see if they can get us more than the $4,500 that was originally offered to us. There is no way we can or will pay the $9,000 they quoted to put in a rebuilt engine. Needless to say, we are very upset since until recently we had 3 minis in the family. Why would such a large company choose to not at least to partially assist such a loyal customer. All this after we spent over $2,500 just a few months ago to fix suspension problems. She wanted the BMW Countryman next but well see how this plays out and we may never buy any BMW or Mini products ever again as well as telling everyone that will listen.

Good Morning my name is Mark ** and my wife name is Veronica **. We use to be proud owners of our 2010 BMW 528xi up until now. We purchased it on March 23, 2013 at Bolden Ltd dealer in Greenville NC. Weve owned 3 BMWs in the past and this will be the 4th and we were thinking about purchasing another one until our recent experience with our 2010 BMW 528xi. When we bought it all the services was up to date and it was still under warranty. It only had 33,761 miles on it. We took it in for service at BMW dealer at 36,000 miles for its 2nd oil change and all services was fine and the vehicle was up to date on its maintenance. There were no leaks and it drove great! Several months later we came back to BMW dealer in Kinston, NC for the 3rd oil change just before 50,000 warranty. We were recommended by BMW service technician to get everything that could be done under warranty because our 50,000 mile warranty was about to expire, so we agreed and let them do what was recommended. So they changed the oil and the fluids that were needed at that time, they replaced the wiper blades, and they replaced a oil cooler gasket and a oil filter housing gasket and gave me a 2 year warranty. We left feeling confident that everything should be fine with the vehicle for a while. Grant it we had no leaks prior to that service. Several months later about 15,000 miles we got our 4th oil change and several months after that we got our 5th oil change and everything was fine and there were no leaks. In August about the 18th we called BMW and Scheduled an appointment about a noise we were hearing at low speed from our ac vent inside the vehicle. They told us to come in on Saturday 8/22/15 @ 8:00 am. Upon arriving we were taken in by Trish at Sale BMW in Kinston, NC and she came out to listen to the noise we were hearing but of course the car wouldnt make the noise so I told her to lift the hood and turn the AC on to see if the noise could be heard but upon looking under the hood we noticed a lot of oil under the hood so she recommended that we get it checked out while we were there, so we agreed! About 2 hours later we had to ask them what was going on and what did they find. Trish then took me in the shop so the shop Foreman could show me what he found. He told me that the Oil Cooler was leaking, the oil filter housing was leaking, the valve cover was leaking, and the oil pan was leaking. The quote they gave me was well over 2,000 dollars for everything. I was shocked mainly because they never looked in my history before to see that they had replaced the oil filter housing and the oil cooler gasket less than 2 years ago and grant it, it wasnt leaking when they replaced it under warranty. So, that rubbed me the wrong way and secondly Ive owned BMWs before that had no leaks like this one. Well upon me notifying Trish to check my service history she found out that the Oil filter housing and cooler gasket was still under warranty. So they fixed it while we were there for free. We were satisfied with them fixing it for free but if I didnt inform them that it had already been done then we believe we would have paid for it again. The vehicle has 84,000 miles on it and it has oil leaks already. We are unhappy with these oil leaks after 5 oil changes. Our previous BMWs were not leaking oil. Please call us about this matter. Mark ** or Veronica **. We look forward to your response to this matter.

BMW is claiming that a bird could strip paint from my 2014 X3, which I purchased just 3 months ago. This pre-certified car is awesome in every way, but I have owned 2 BMWs and 4 Volvos prior to this and have never had any damage to the finish from a bird. They are telling me that the damage is outside their warranties. I find it hard to believe they do not warrant their finishes. Stay away from this car; paint is fragile. If you have to be worried about bird **, you should look for something a lot less expensive. High end is not what finishes this car.
