Volkswagen has once again teased its upcoming electric van based on the ID. Buzz concept first shown in 2017. On Monday Volkswagen releaesd the first images of the ID. Buzz's interior ahead of the van's debut on March 9. Volkswagen ID. Buzz interior teasedVolkswagen ID. Buzz interior teasedVolkswagen ID. Buzz interior teasedVolkswagen ID. Buzz interior teased In February, VW released a video showing pre-production examples of the van leaving the vehicle's plant in Hannover, Germany, for a quick drive on the surrounding streets. The vehicle can best be described as a spiritual successor to the iconic Microbus (which actually has a direct successor in the form of the Transporter/Multivan line sold overseas). It's due to start sales in Europe this year, but it won't reach the U.S. until sometime in 2023. VW has confirmed that it will arrive on these shores as a 2024 model. The camouflage pattern used in the teaser very closely follows the scheme used on the ID.5 and related ID.4 when those vehicles were teased. The production versions of those vehicles varied little from the camouflaged versions shown in teasers, so this is likely a good indication of what the production ID. Buzz will look like. Volkswagen ID.Buzz teaser, at ID.5 introduction Yes, the production version looks different to the more funky concept we saw in 2017, but it closely aligns with details seen in spy shots of test vehicles and matches styling cues with other members of VW's expanding family of ID vehicles. The production ID. Buzz uses the same MEB platform as the ID.5 and ID.4, as well as the ID.3 hatchback sold overseas. We also know that both passenger and cargo versions are planned, the latter previewed by 2018's ID. Buzz Cargo concept. Volkswagen's revealed the ID. Buzz has a wheelbase of 117.6 inches (the cargo version has a longer wheelbase of 185.5 inches), is 77.3 inches tall, and 78.1 inches wide (excluding mirrors). It will ride on wheels ranging in size fro 18 to 21 inches. In Europe Passenger models have been confirmed as five seaters with up to 39.6 cubic feet of cargo space with all seats occupied. The cargo models will have up to 137.72 cubic feet of hauling space with a fixed partition behind the front seats. The U.S. ID. Buzz will be a long-wheelbase model, which VW hasn't detailed yet. Bi-directional charging along with plug-and-charge capability have been confirmed by the German automaker. VW will also employ the production ID. Buzz in a self-driving taxi service beginning in Germany in 2025. The automaker released a sketch of a self-driving van last year, and announced the start of testing a few months later. The service will be run by the VW Group's Moia mobility division, with an autonomous-driving system developed by America's Argo AI, of which the Volkswagen Group is a major shareholder.

Ive owned 5-6 new VW TDI Golf/Jettas; and thoroughly enjoyed them. The most recent purchase was a 2015 Golf TDI. The dealership has been more than helpful and accommodating through the approved update process and 2 stages have been completed. The final stage of the repairs was scheduled days ago; and when I dropped off the vehicle service needed a claim number. Please excuse my filing system, but I did not have the claim number. The dealership, which I love, and has always treated me like a king, could not do the repairs, or, provide me with the claim number. In conversation I learned VW does not trust their dealers, (yes, the people that support their employment). I talked with VW corporate for the TDI issue (VW Lying), and am getting nowhere. I Seriously hate to admit it, but I guess Ill become a Ford person. What an unbelievable, and very sad story. BUT... IT IS THE TRUTH.

Received the car with minor scratches on the steering wheel and didnt make a fuss about it. 6 months later the scratches expanded and steering wheel is peeling all around. I took it to a VW authorized dealership and they claim it looks like it was scratched so it wont be covered under warranty. I wont be buying/leasing another VW and will warn my friends, co-workers and family not to get one. I have an older Jeep Cherokee with same type of steering wheel that still looks new. It seems VW are using inferior material to make their steering wheel wrap.

Leased a new 2018 Passat thru VW of The Woodlands. Dealership is now closed and VW will not honor the service agreement or the extended warranties that I purchased because the dealership is no longer in business. Obviously I chose the wrong brand. VW told me they have no desire to make things right. I will now have to pay for all services (oil changes and maintenance) and all other extras I purchased and paid for are now null and void.

Purchased our 2013 Tiguan new. Babied it... Changed oil early and often, always garaged. Tires replaced with Michelin Pilot Sport because original Michelins gone @ 14k. Rear window exploded in parking lot untouched (I was behind it when it happened). Tires shot AGAIN @ 40k... Would have been $1200 more but had warranty, so ONLY $600!!! Took it in for TX inspection @ 48k... Upper control arms/bushings shot... Replaced for $1300.00. Don’t buy VW... They’re not only crooks, they are also thieves!!!

I have a 2018 Tiguan which the gas odometer keeps going haywire and when this happens the radio system will not turn on. I have taken to the dealer twice and they have reset it and now they tell me this is just something I have to live with and it is not unusual. Why even have the feature if it does not work accurately. The more I drive the higher the number of miles it says I have in the tank and is now at 4082 miles.

2014 Jetta (4000 miles) had to be towed to dealer because no clutch. Dealer has blamed abuse to clutch when found out primary driver was 17. Son only have driven manual vehicle and he is a homebody kid. Just not in his personality to abuse his new car. Also tires are not showing signs of burn outs. On this site, I found another 2014 Jetta consumer had same issue w/ less mileage. DPATRICK VW ** is unsure if VW will cover repairs ($1700) nor cover a rental. It is a NEW 2014 JETTA. IF the clutch was abused, proved not to be durable. BUT ANOTHER CONSUMER HAD SAME ISSUE WITH CLUTCH GOING OUT ON THEIR NEW 2014 JETTA. LOOK FOR UPDATE. Faulty seat recliner - I have owned a new Gold Cabriolette for nearly a year now. I love it, except for one repetitive and irritating fault - the seat release to swing the seat forward to move so you can access the rear seats is made of a plastic material attached to a metal shaft that releases the seat mechanism. The connection between the plastic handle and the metal shaft is continually breaking. When this occurs, you cannot access the rear seats as the seats will not move. You must return again and again to have VW dealer reattach the handle to shaft. What an absurd mechanism. Why cant they have one metal handle shaft that does not break every time you touch it?

VW TDI buy back - We turned in our car on Jan. 19, 2017. Today is Feb. 22, 2017 and they still have not paid us. Not only that, the car was a 2009 and was on track to be crushed but we were not told this when it broke down and they made us pay 4300 to repair it as supposedly VW would not take back a car if it wasnt running. Now I am wondering if it was the dealer - Ken Garff in Orem Utah.

The engine in the 2013 VW GTI we leased burned up at 25,000 miles. Nine days before this happened, the dealership where we leased it from refused to honor the service agreement and misled us as to whether or not it was due for service. As a result at the BBB arbitration between us and the manufacturer, we were held responsible for 1/2 of the cost of replacing the engine on a 2013 vehicle with only 25,000 miles on it. We have had to sue the dealership for the balance we had to pay due to the breach of the service contract. As a result, we have been paying $260/mo five months, the court date is not for another 3 months and we STILL dont have the car back. VW sucks, the warranty sucks, and the service contract sucks. The Customer Care guy (Douglas **) was nice enough though -- Im sure hes just following orders -- not his fault VW corporation cheats its customers on the warranty and the service contract (while still taking our lease payments at $260/mo).

I brought in my Mother-in-laws 2004 VW Touareg into the Kitchener dealership (Crosby VW) due to major rust concerns. VWs preferred auto body shop Mitek then saw it and drafted a quote which eventually VW Canada denied saying it was surface rust even though it clearly started beneath and was solidly through. I disagreed and while I was largely ignored by VW Canada my persistence eventually ended up getting me a written response but no real explanation, process or coverage and I had to take care of the $6000 repair myself. I drive a 2012 VW Golf R and I am a long term VW fan who feels very slighted. I am experienced with most forms of legal action largely due to my employment and I seriously considered legal action as I could easily take this to small claims court, but in the end I didnt feel it was worth the bother or the issues VW Canada would create. Anyway the same VW Touareg now has rust coming from beneath again on the right rear door in the same place as it occurred in the left rear door. Im guessing VW Canada will pull the same nonsense and fail to honor the warranty. I have filed a BBB complaint to which VW Canada has denied all liability. I responded with this.I do not accept the premise of this response on the grounds that: a) VW Canada cannot upon my many requests provide any supporting documentation or scientific evidence as to how this is as they call it corrosion perforation resulting from outside influences, failure to promptly repair paint damage, damaged undercoating, or surface corrosion; b) A third body panel (passenger rear door) is currently showing signs of rust from beneath the surface, but it takes many months to even get a check up to see if it is covered due to a backlog at VW. I believe that this is a deliberate attempt to present the damage as failure to promptly repair and circumnavigate VW Canada’s responsibility to honor their warranty.c) VW Canada’s response to the BBB complaint does not make effort to address the rear driver’s side door that was replaced due to rust from beneath and provided no explanation as to how it rusted nor any coverage; d) The license plate was not in contact with the tailgate until the day before inspection when I removed the plate and cover to better see the damage. I did not put the cover back on to take in into the dealership because it broke upon removal. VW Canada has made no effort to provide any evidence that this was a long-term situation. In summary I believe based on online posting investigations, that VW Canada is following a mandate issued by management to cut costs by lowering the amount of rust corrosion claims paid out.

Extremely disappointed with my 2016 VW golf sportswagon and their customer
Extremely disappointed with my 2016 VW golf sportswagon and their customer care. I have been a VW owner for 20 years and didn’t have any problems with the quality until I purchased this car. The car had transmission problems only after 6 months and the same issue happened numerous time during the 5 years. Not to mention that there were a few recalls as well. The turbocharger also failed just shortly after the warranty expired. I called VW customer care to see if they can help given that I had been a loyal customer. The experience with customer care had been terrible and disappointing. It took 6 weeks for them to complete an assessment for the car. I had to follow up numerous times and was always given the answer that they will look into it and call me back. But they never did. It’s not until that we went to the dealership to talk to the service manager that customer care put effort to complete an assessment of the repairs. It’s disappointing that given the quality history of the car they are only willing to cover about half of the repair cost. Their decision is final and doesn’t given a chance to discuss further with them. The quality of this car is not what I expected from VW.What is also extremely disappointing is that they don’t offer basic customer service. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that I will get a call within 48 hours. It never happened as always and it took numerous follow up calls and 8 days later before a supervisor called. This is totally unacceptable customer service. Their “don’t care” attitude will drive away loyal customers. I will never buy another VW product or recommend them to a friend or family.

2017 Alltrack. Had we known how dreadful our selling dealer and VWoA customer care related to a new vehicle purchase would be, we would have immediately turned around and never looked back. Upon delivery of our new Volkswagen, we found several issues that we addressed and were told that theres nothing we can do. VWoA is basically useless when customers have legitimate complaints, so much for VWoA s concerns about the customer purchase experience. Without going in to detail, lets just say our experience left a very unpleasant taste in our mouths. There was no delivery inspection record or documentation, the literature and accessories were unpackaged scattered around the cargo area, one of the remote keys was defective, the fluid levels were below minimum requirements, the Navigation SD Card was found under the front seat, but the dealers 4 metal logo was prominently affixed to the rear hatch with some type of super glue. This is our last Volkswagen purchase. We feel that all we are to the dealer is a number in their quota. Pathetic!

I drive a GTI and have had the intake manifold fail three times in a row. Despite servicing the car according to plan, using official Volkswagen parts and mechanics, the customer care refuses to assist with a part that is obviously flawed. I have had to replace this intake manifold, a part that costs more than $1000, repeatedly, and have had no solution offered, and no offer to repair that vehicle. This part has failed after 20,000 miles each time. Obviously an issue with the engine and substandard parts used, still no help from customer service. I will not buy Volkswagen again and certainly not recommend them to others.

When I purchased my VW GTI it rode very rough. I asked if the PDI had been performed when I was completing the purchase paperwork and I was told that it had. After a week of a very rough ride in the front I checked to see if the shipping pucks had been removed from the front struts. They had not (3 pucks in each strut) leading me to believe that no PDI had been performed. I emailed the dealer manager to notify them of this and see if I could have my struts checked for damage and got no reply. Now today I brought my GTI in to have the first service completed. After waiting 2 hours from my appt. time/drop off I asked if my car was ready. I was informed that there was a mistake with my paperwork and they hadnt started! 45 minutes later I was informed my service was completed. I lifted the hood in front of the service desk to inspect the service but before I could pull the dipstick I noticed there was oil on my right fender, on the engine cover and my front license plate was bent out from the bumper at a 90 degree angle (not how it had arrived 3 hrs. Earlier). They bent back the plate and told me I was good to go. I was beyond furious so I headed home. After I got home I checked the oil to find it overfilled by 1qt. Horrible service. Completely unacceptable.

I had a really bad experience with my Tiguan bought few months ago from a first-hand. My car is 5 years old and only 50000 km. The car was working fine until it completely stopped in the middle of a busy street. Had to tow it via my insurance and I decided to bring it in the VW garage where the car has always been serviced (having all the previous bills). I informed the garage that my car was getting towed and if they could organize a replacement car. The answer was NO straight away. When I looked at all the car bills a replacement car had always been organized but not for me. I then asked them when will they be able to take care of the car and tell me what is the problem. The reply was, “We are extremely busy. We will have a look probably next week.” After checking their online appointment availability it was clearly showing full availability all over the week but they finally started to look at my car one week later! The diagnostic price being $220 which is just absurd when you know that I will have it fix there. Finally the fuel pump was faulty and had to be replaced for $1500 which I succeed to reduce to $1400. I contacted my previous VW dealership overseas that confirm the fact that this part shouldn’t be faulty at 50000 km and VW should cover the cost. I then decided to open a case with VW Australia. I finally took back my car after 10 days and paid the full price thinking that VW will contact me and listen to me. After explaining to the dealership that I opened a case with VW he became extremely upset and unhappy about my decision. I told him that I didn’t blame him but the car and asked him, “If you were me, would you expect this?“ The answer was, “Then if it was me I would just pay and move on!” I clearly understand then that this dealership doesn’t understand the meaning of customer service or empathy. Then I received the answer from my case which was “From time to time Volkswagen Australia will support our dealers in relation to servicing and repairs. This support is not discussed outside of our dealer network. Should the repairs to your vehicle be deemed as a manufacturing failure, the dealership will liaise with us directly on your behalf. Our support is not initiated at customers request. Please speak with the dealership regarding the diagnosis of your vehicle. They will contact us directly if needed. We will now close your inquiry.” At the beginning I was only upset by having this kind of issue with a low km car but after the experience at this dealership the full experience is a disaster. I am convinced that there is a big lack of consideration from VW Australia and especially from this dealership.

The deception/lie that Volkswagen did on the diesel cars will affect you as a regular fuel Volkswagen car owner when it comes to trading in your car for something other than the bad reputation VW now. Be prepared to be ** when you get your trade in value as the dealerships are going to give you “Auction” since no one trusts VW anymore. They are concerned that if they were deceitful with the diesel, what’s to stop VW from making false claims about the gas VW’s. I have a 2015 VW Passat Limited, in excellent condition, financed for 4 yrs at 0% financing and my trade is worth $7,500 at “Auction” per the other than VW dealerships (Dec 23, 2016), I have NEVER been upside down on trading in a vehicle before, and note, this isn’t upside down, this is **, over $7k upside down. And NO, I don’t want another VW!! One very upset VW owner that has a worthless vehicle now due to their false claims on the diesel.

2008 VW Passat 2.0T burns lots of oil.I purchased my 2008 VW Passat 2.0T on 5/2/11. I had oil change on 7/15/11 and was over 2 quarts low. I contacted my dealership since this car had less than 50,000 miles, why is its 100% synthetic oil breaking down like this since I obviously have a leak. The dealership said to check oil every 1000 and call back at next oil change; burnt/slipped around rings 2 quarts of oil. The dealership doesnt want to do oil consumption test because its within manufacturer acceptable limitations. Any oil consumption that requires I carry oil with me in my vehicle represents a real problem. This takes my $100 regular oil changes to $130. And nobody thinks this should be disclosed to the consumer prior to making a purchase decision? I did the research before I purchased and I didnt even dream of looking up this subject. I researched electrical malfunctions, engine life, performance, etc. This was never mentioned by the dealership, and now isnt their issue.

Purchased a used 2010 Volkswagen cc about a year ago with 70,000 miles. Clean carfax, no accidents. I did have the understanding Volkswagens are expensive to have worked on, but also thought they are supposed to be well built and reliable. The car has been a nightmare from day 1. Just the last 2 months alone the has been in and out of the dealership 5 times. The intake manifold, all the fuel injectors, the fuel pump, fuel pump control module, carbon build up... on and on and just as horrible as the car is the dealership. Ship is just as bad (maybe worse). Volkswagen doesnt stand by their product. They know about all the problems people have with them and they dont care.Just with the fuel system alone I truly dont believe all those parts I mentioned above failed. I think the techs just kept throwing parts at it until it ran at my expense of course. I could keep going and going... Long story short do yourself a favor and buy another brand. I hope the emissions scandal puts them out of business. Every time I drive the car I now wonder am I going to arrive at my destination? Totally disgusted!!!

I worked with Ryan ** online and through text to get a deal set up due to the distance to the dealership. I was very clear that I was looking for a clean vehicle, and explained in detail about experiences at other dealerships that I did not want to happen again. Although really wouldnt budge on their internet price, we came to an agreement. I stressed my requirements of the car being clean, paint being in top condition. I was very clear that needed to know about any and all flaws before I made the drive, because it is a long drive and I would have a baby with me, and hoped to have paperwork and everything prepared as much as possible before I arrived. I was assured it was flawless, that everything would be ready. Upon arrival, the vehicle was not up to the expectation set by my conversations with the salesman. The rear bumper was not attached properly, visibly loose and not aligned. The paint was swirled badly and had many scuffs and scratches, all of which could be easily repaired with a simple buff and polish. Two of the tires had moderate sidewall damage. The drivers door handle was missing a plastic cover; the metal lock cylinder was exposed. The interior was barely clean; the tan leather seats were mildly dirty and wiped in the main visible areas only, any deeper investigation revealed dirt and grime. The driver’s seat had a poorly done tear repair that did not match the color, looking like a light coffee stain in about a 6 square area. I requested that these things be taken care of before purchase. They were only willing to attach the bumper properly and order the cover for the door handle. Moe ** was the sales manager throughout the process. He was somewhat passive aggressive and combative, as well as slightly condescending. There was a distinct feeling that my requests were ridiculous and that I was just trying to drive the price down. I was told multiple times that they could not go any lower or spend any money fixing the vehicle, even though I never once requested a price adjustment, simply asked that the expectation set during my communications with the salesman be upheld. In the end I purchased the vehicle because I like it, not because it was a good deal; I will still have to invest to have the paint mechanically corrected, the leather seat repaired and interior cleaned, and purchase two tires. The process took 4 hours, plus 3 hours of drive time. The dealership is very nice, Coffee, water and bagels are available. The parking area was not large enough for the volume of customers there. I was given my choice of nice VW keychains upon completing the paperwork.

We heard nothing so we called on September 8 to follow up they said it is ready they will rush mail it to us to receive by the end of the week.Nothing happened again so we called back September 17 only to be told they are missing Odometer Disclosure which we did submit with the packet in mid August. We sent the Disclosure by secure message after the fax number the customer service person gave me on the phone failed. They said, All clear. You should receive the title end of the week. The week ended we are now the 26 September and 6 weeks after full payment and we have no title. We cannot sell the car, we cannot refinance it and we are at loss for what to do to get our title from this company. I am now considering going to court for injunction. VW is simply a dishonest company and I will never drive any car by this company again.

Absolutely the worst Customer Care I have ever seen or heard of, with every question I ask or point I make Corey with CC replies with the same textbook answer of Sir I understand your frustration and I stand behind my dealership (right or wrong). The turbo went out of my Passat TDI as it has in 1,000s of others and they are blaming an outside source, therefore voiding my warranty.

I bought a brand new 2019 Beetle and noticed it had a bunch of things wrong right off the bat. One of the speaker lights didnt work, the manual seat sinks after a few hours, and the A/C button doesnt work properly. I am 3.5 hours away from a Volkswagen dealership so it takes me 7 hours round trip to service it. I have to do 2 seven hour trips per service because they never fix it in one day. So far I have had to make that round trip 4 times and they still have not fixed the issues other than the speaker light. I dont have time or patience anymore to take many days off for nothing. The product is poorly put together and the service is HORRIBLE, at least at South Motors in Miami, FL.

First off let me start by saying that I do love my 2013 Turbo Diesel Beetle
First off let me start by saying that I do love my 2013 Turbo Diesel Beetle Convertible, its the prettiest car on the road...and everyone asks me how I like it...I love it, love to drive it...love to look at it...and I take really good care of it. There are two design flaws, one is the keyless start...the other is the unfortunate placement of the hard wired iPhone charger INSIDE the glove compartment, so that if you need to charge your phone while driving you have to keep the glove compartment open. One wonders about German engineering. That said, the car gets rock star mileage and its fast. But I had to have the 10,000 mile service in Brooklyn NY because I was visiting family and could not do it in Maine. So the VW dealership in Bay Ridge Brooklyn houses a bundle of other car companies. ITs old, cramped, dirty, crowded and unpleasant. I brought in my almost brand spanking new car. I said, Im here for a 10,000 mile service, please take good care of my car. A loaner was provided and off I went. Later that day I came back to get my car. I asked for only one thing, to have the rear headrests taken off while they were servicing the car. When I got the car there were the headrests. I was told the headrests dont come off...I thought, well Ive had a few cars, Im no expert but every headrest Ive seen comes off. The service person told me, I was completely wrong that the service people pulled and pulled and they would not come out. I took out the manual, respectfully trying to show him that I not only know they come out but because there is limited rear visibility with the car, they suggest that they should come out when not needed. He said I was wrong again, I tried to show him in the manual how clearly defined the instructions for removal and how simple it was. He finally acquiesced and took the car back into the service area. Now let me ask the obvious question, IF the service guys didnt know that they could remove headrests do you think I would feel confident that my tires were correctly rotated or my oil was property changed? I think not. The car came back to me, headrests out, but soiled where the work was done. Gladly my service guy cleaned the grease...and I got into my car to leave and looked up and there on the right side of my windshield was a giant crack. Seriously. I couldnt even make this up. Now the service manager comes out. He tells me that it was a stone, how does he know this, because of the way the crack looks. Now this is coming from a person who manages people who dont know about headrests...and hes abrupt, no apologies...just aggressive...I say, but I brought in a car with no crack at 9:30 this morning and its 4:30 and theres a crack. Now can a car be serviced and not one person notices this crack...and you say it was a stone and when the car tires were rotated then it caused the crack to spread. Oh my GOD! He said hed take care of it on Monday, it was Friday. I drove my car home as the crack spread. I called him many times but he did not call me back. Finally Monday I got in touch with him and brought my car in. Guess what!!! No windshield on Monday, No windshield on Tuesday and No windshield on Weds (until Weds eve) why? Because they told me that it was not in stock at the auto glass people, then Tuesday the one they got in had a crack, and they had decided not to install a cracked glass (really?), and then today Weds I could get my car...but guess what - now they were not honoring the agreement that there would be no deductible, because they did not realize that my insurance was out of State...MY PLATES ARE FROM MAINE. Not one person really looked at my car. I hesitate with this statement but as soon as I leave NY and head back to Maine, Im going to have another dealer check and see if the tires were indeed rotated and the oil was changed, and if so if its all proper. Id be terrified to bring my car there again. They are so hard on the cars, they dont listen, they over talk you and they are obviously not knowledgeable about VWs. Its very sad to see this. I am surprised VW allows this kind of service representation. I have no recourse, the dealer is going to split the deductible with me. How can I fight this, I just want to return the loaner and have my car back and get out of there. I could have brought my car to any auto glass company ... but brought it back there because - well I must be crazy to have thought that it would go smoothly. Anyway, beware this dealership if you have a VW.

In late 2008 my wife bought a 2004 Passat with a 1.8 turbo. All was good until about 70,000 miles then it all started to go bad. She had purchased the extended warranty so at first I was not worried and was under a false impression that the top end warranty package we paid dearly for will cover any issues we have with the masterpiece of German engineering. It started with the axles making a clicking noise when you were making a turn which being somewhat mechanically inclined I realized it would be the CV joints failing.I had my wife drop the car off at the dealer, well two and a half days later they call and let her know that due to the fact that the axle boots were torn and they where a wearable part that were not serviced regularly and it would not be covered under warranty. (So apparently you are supposed to pull axles every so often to change boots?) She inquired on the cost of replacement to be told it would cost $1100.00. I told her to call and tell them to do nothing and we will pick up the car. I was able to purchase the axles for $52.00 each and replace them in about 1 1/2 hours. So I ask, Where is $1100.00 justified? And how many people have been screwed by their VW service center? Problem 2 we had was the power windows, The driver side front and rear. Not at the same time but both had issues, The rear had a pin fall out which attached the window to the frame of the power mechanism. The front had plastic clips that broke which caused the window to fall into the door and at a later date the window motor failed. During this trip to the shop I inquired about the ignition coil recall, To my surprise they covered it all under warranty. Problem 3 was a temp sensor which caused the engine light to come on which once again to my surprise they covered under the warranty.Problem 4 was the engine oil pressure warning light and as you have read or will read in other complaints on this page due to the fact it is a used car with no paper work on servicing prior to my owning it I to am out of luck. Not to mention it took 3 days for them to get back to us. I myself use nothing but synthetic oil in all my vehicles and maintain them regularly. I was told by the dealer that the car has engine sludge and it would cost between $1500 and $7000 to make repairs. So once again I told my wife to not let them do anything to the car and have it towed to my in-laws house where he has a car lift in his shop.We pulled the suspension loose and back to access the oil pan and then pulled the pan. The pan and lower half of the motor was spotless except for what appeared to be a mixture of gasket and sealant particles built up around the oil pick up tube. That leads me to believe that the story of oil sludge is a crock of crap they came up with to cover their own ** due to faulty workmanship. We cleaned the pan and pulled the valve cover to check the top end and the results where the same, SPOTLESS, Imagine that. So anyone who is told they have sludge you should question the truth of that statement.Problem 5 was the instrument panel information center fading out on hot days to the point where you could not see any information displayed. At that time the driver side mirror glass had also fell out while driving on the freeway. I was so furious with the VW dealer that I did not want take it to them to see if they would deny repairs. My wife took it in and to my surprise once again they actually covered it. Oh, not the mirror it was not covered. Problem 6 as the mileage limit of 80,000 approached the check engine light came on again so I had my wife take it in. From this trip we received no explanation to why the light came on and where told it would be reset. However we did receive a list of items from their million point inspection or whatever they call it which totaled over $4000.00 and that the warranty would cover about a $1000.00 of it if we decided to have the work done. I requested an email of work to be done which was sent to me about a day after I requested it. Now for the problem with the quote, I apparently needed a new battery which would be ok but I had replaced it no more than 2 weeks prior to taking it in. The report stated I needed to have 2 of the coils replaced even though they had supposedly replaced them during a previous trip. What am I supposed to think about the rest of the list after reading about things that were recently replaced, Anyways the list went on and on more than I would like to explain. As of now the car is sitting in the driveway with a serious misfire and the code I pulled out of it was PO300. This is a random misfire code which does not give a fix for the problem it just gives a list of possible necessary repairs. If I will have to make all repairs on this list it could cost $1300,00 to $1800.00 which I will have to do, Due to the mileage expiration of the warranty. PLEASE DO NOT BUY A VW OF ANY KIND POST 1970. YOU WILL BE VERY SORRY!!!

I purchased a 2010 CC from the Volkswagen Santa Cruz dealership in July of 2013. In August, 3 months after I purchased the vehicle, the entire transmission needed to be replaced because the vehicle wasnt shifting through gears properly. My CC would just die if I hit 40+ mph on the freeway. I had to turn the car off and on several times on the freeway to get to the dealership, totally unsafe and scary to be driving a vehicle at that speed on the freeway that can stop at any given time. VW covered the transmission issue because the car was under warranty but since then Ive had several more issues. Headlight and taillight (twice), intake valves needed to be cleaned, all 4 tires have needed to be replaced, and the latest has been a timing belt issue that has caused major engine damage at 70,000 miles. The cars warranty expired 3 months ago. VW HQ has offered to cover the cost of parts but not labor ($3,100).I am a student who works part time and has an inoperable vehicle with 70k miles on it and $9,000 left to pay on it. No idea what Im going to. This is obviously a flaw on the car maker but I am most likely going to be one that suffers from it. I highly discourage anyone from buying a Volkswagen. I cannot recommend them in good faith to anyone and I hope that I can wash my hands clean of this vehicle without too big of a loss. Edit - After going back and forth with VW Customer Care and the dealership several times, I was able to talk them down to $2400. I told them that all I could afford is $1000. They say they will do the repairs for $1595 and that is their lowest offer. The repair estimate they sent me is amazing to look at. The total cost for labor and repair was $7,856.45. How could all of these parts have broken 3 months after the warranty expired?

I own a 2014 VW Golf TDI that I purchased brand new. Since Ive owned the vehicle I have had all the services done on time and at a VW dealership. The car currently has 40558 miles on it. I had an O2 sensor go bad on me roughly 100 miles ago. I am by no means an expert mechanic but I have been working on cars for a little over 20 years and I couldnt believe how quickly the sensor went out. Even the people at the dealership were completely shocked by how quickly it went out. When I call VW of America they basically told me yeah thats horrible but its your problem. I really thought VW was a better company than that and manufactured better products than that.

I bought brand new Volkswagen 2010 from dealership in Kansas City. It was serviced regularly by the VW dealers. One evening, I came back from the work, parked the car in my driveway and next morning, the car would not start. I towed the car to the service center at the dealership and they say it needs a new motor. A 74K mile Volkswagen needs a new motor. I asked the reason and the service manager says oil level was low in the car and the car if out of the warranty now. This car was service by VW dealer in Lees Summit before 3 months of the breakdown, its Check Engine indicator never got turned on, the car does not consume oil and all of a sudden the engine failed. The service center says they serviced the car properly, dealership says its out of manufacturers warranty and I am stuck with this expense of $11000. The car does not have a single dent on its body, its trim, interior is all like a new car but the engine is bad. After spending enormous time talking to the dealership, service center, VW area manager, district manager and all, we concluded that this is the last Volkswagen in my life. And me and my entire family has become a great anti-Volkswagen advocate. Absolutely shameless managers, irresponsible service center and liar manufacturer. We advise all the readers to avoid buying any product of Volkswagen. Buy it if you want to throw away your hard earned money in drain.

I leased a 2012 CC for 3 years and now Im financing because Im tired of having a car payment. I have 51K miles on the car and got a 48K mile warranty with the new financing. I have got all the scheduled maintenance done at the dealership, Palisadas VW in NY, and have never been told about a carbon build up. So a month or 2 ago, when I started the car when the engine was cold, I was getting a putting like feel and sound coming from the exhaust. I felt nervous driving the car but once the car was warm and on the highway, everything was good. I took the car to the dealership. I have the top of the line warranty so why not, and the guy said since the Check Engine Light isnt on, the warranty wont cover it but once it does come on to bring it in and hell get it cleaned. So last week the light came on. I brought the car to the dealership right away. Well what do you know, the warranty doesnt cover it. And to top it all off, they want to charge me $1100. Im beyond pissed. I called VW Corporate and now Im in a fight with them. After seeing that other people have had the same problem, its like they put keep that out of the warranty so they can bang you over the head when you need it done. I tried to tell the woman from Corporate that they can easily call this little dealership and tell them what to do and they will listen quickly. Every dealership will do whatever to keep corporate from calling. I forgot to mention that this is my second car with VW. I Leased a Jetta for 3 years, and paid off the while lease within 6 months, and now leased my CC for 3 years, and financed for 5 years. Ive never had a late payment. Im your ideal customer. Im also a combat veteran. So corporate says they want to put a fuel injector cleaner type into the car and see if that works. They did that today and when I spoke to the service guy at VW we both agreed that it wasnt going to do anything. He asked if I could leave the car overnight so the tech can cold start it in the morning and they were authorized to do the procedure again. I said to do it, might as well since its free, and I have to the steps corporate spoke about. As I was writing this, corporate called. I told her I was doing research and seeing other people having the same problem and that I was so angry. Of course she said We dont want you to be angry, and I said we both know theres only one way Im not going to be angry and thats to just clean it properly. I told her I wouldnt have bought the car if I knew this would happen. I wouldve leased or financed something new or left VW all together. So we shall see tomorrow how this soap opera continues. I will fight this to the end and take it as high up the ladder as need be. I recommend that if other people are having the same problem to contact corporate and fight with me. Thanks for reading, God bless and Fight The Power.

On 29th May 2014 I was going to my squadron at Air Force Station Lohegaon on duty in my car Volkswagen polo (**) manufactured in Jan 2013 - insured under United India Insurance policy number **. While on my way to the place of duty, my car went off road and fell into a ditch due to brake failure (speed 35 KMPH). Resulting which I suffered serious injuries in my skull bone (fracture base of skull), nose (2 fractures) and back bone (fracture SV1 and slip disc L5-S1) and since then I am on bed rest and my future career and life is at stake. My car is in a total loss condition. This condition can be directly attributed to the manufacturing/servicing defect by Volkswagen and I hereby demand Volkswagen to give me a written explanation on why such incidence occurred and compensate for my losses in total. I have a 2013 VW Tiguan in mint condition except for the paint, its fading or discoloring. See my photos attached. I am absolutely totally upset about this and paying $500 a month car payment to look at this everyday. I talked to the dealer in Orlando FL and no help whatsoever. They referred me to VW USA and I spoke to them and put a claim in only to tell me that I dont have any issues with my paint. Sometime in March, 2019 I decided to bring my car in for evaluation - there was some strange rattling noise coming from the front left area around the wheel. I called the numbers listed on Island VW website and I couldnt get a hold of anyone because the line would either ring and then disconnect or go to straight to a busy line. I tried the chat on their website, but no one responded because I am guessing I was doing this at 830am. Then I called the sales number a few times and by some chance someone answered in sales and that person was the one who scheduled my appt, not the service dept. I brought my car in, I left it over the weekend for inspection, and on Sat I was called (Jimmy) and told the left axel (?) was worn off and that it needed to be replaced.I picked up my car a few days later and the next day I heard the same noise. I thought I was imagining things so I waited until my partner drove the car and said that the issue is indeed still there. I drove for another three days just to make sure we are not going to call and complain for no reason. Once established that the issue is there, I called the dealership. Same problem again. The line rings and disconnects. OR it goes to a busy signal right away. I waited another day or so and attempted again. Same issue again. I tried the chat and demanded that someone calls me. Jimmy called and I explained my problem. I said I would like to bring my car in again because the issue hasnt been resolved.I asked that they provide me with a loaner this time as my work demands me to travel from one clinic in the morning to another in the middle of the day. He said they didnt have any loaners. Then I asked them to cover for a rental that I would rent in order to get to work. He said that wouldnt work either. So I had to accommodate my schedule, wait until a weekend that I dont work to bring the car in. He agreed. At this point, while speaking with him, the phone disconnected twice!! So when he told me, Call us next week when you know when youll be able to bring the car I explained that calling their dealership is close to impossible, as evidenced by the dropped calls. He gave me his cell phone number and said to contact him there. And I did. Left a vm, waited several days and when no one called me, I decided to call Volkswagen America Customer Service, on 4/30 or 5/1. I spoke with a lady Renee who tried contacting the dealer herself. She ran into the same issue, the lines werent working. So she said she would continue to call and get back to me. On 5/1 she left a vm on my cellphone, stating that she was still not able to get a hold of them but that she would be able to schedule me an appt on the website. However, at this point I had missed the weekend I was off and I needed them to provide me with a car to get to work. She said she wouldnt be able to do that online. The next day, she called me and said her manager was able to get a hold of someone in the dealership who explained that they dont have loaner cars at that time and when one becomes available they would call me. Guess what? That call never came. At this point, I decided to call my bank and file a dispute. I have three VW at home and I will never, EVER, buy another one. I am selling them all and will be buying something else. Which is a bummer because I never had an issue with any of my cars. I bought them in Seattle, Carter VW, had the best experience with them. Everyone else related to VW was a disastrous experience.

We purchased a brand new 2018 Tiguan and have had an horrible experience. The family almost died in a car accident because of the EPC faulty code. It happened 3 times and Volkswagen could not fix the issue. All of a sudden your car loses power and can’t go over 30mph, it shakes horribly and continues to lose power. The last time it happened (3rd time) we were merging onto a highway, the car shook and then lost power, with your foot to the floor the car will not go over 30mph. An 18wheeler truck almost slammed into the back of us, we had to swerve off the highway. Took it back to Volkswagen and they stated it was a faulty read and NOTHING Else was done! We are so shaken and have no trust in the car.I went directly to head office of Volkswagen and after 6 weeks of discussion they offered me a 10% discount off a new car! Are you kidding me??? 10% when it almost killed my family. I bought a new car so I would have no issue, but instead have had deadly issues. Looking online I see I am not alone. I guess Volkswagen does Nothing to keep their customers safe unless you die and then a class action lawsuit happens. Guess I should head up a class action lawsuit. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR. You will regret it. Stay away from a company who knows there are deadly issues yet does nothing about it!

2008 VW Touareg V8 - This is my 6th VW. Ive always thought they were well built cars, and truthfully, I think this one is a well built car for the most part. About 4 months ago (at around 55,000 miles) the Touaregs oil warning light came on. We pulled the car over and had it towed to the local independent shop that normally takes care of our maintenance. The area dealership was purchased by Lithia several years ago and weve tried them a few times and every time its been a cluster ** of poor service. Our independent shop admittedly doesnt know that much about VWs but all weve needed them to do up until this point is oil changes. They called VW of A and were encouraged to change the sensor for the oil warning light because the pumps never fail. They changed the sensor ($600) and that did nothing. At this point they suggested we try the dealer as being someone that works on these all the time. Ive never trusted Lithia and hated to go there, but arranged to have my vehicle towed over to their service department. I called and told them it was coming and they took all the information (this was on a Tuesday) and said they were swamped but had me scheduled for service on Friday and said theyd call Friday evening. They didnt. I called Friday morning and the service adviser told me he had no record of ever receiving my car, but said theyd look around. A couple hours later they call and say its sitting in the lot and tried to somehow blame it on the tow company even though I had a signed receipt from the service manager for receiving the car. They apologized for his stupidity (the tow truck drivers) and said theyd bump me to the top of the list and could have me in by Friday. Remember, Id been scheduled for the previous Friday. I hate to piss off a guy working on my car in the same way I hate to piss off someone thats cooking my food, so basically I just reminded him that Id been scheduled for last week and asked him to do what he could to get the car in. I didnt hear back for two weeks and I had called and left several messages asking them to call. When they did call, the adviser is joking around about the stupidity of the tow company again and and how that guy had really screwed me and then slips in that I need a new oil pump and theyll have to pull the engine and its going to cost $4,200.00 They have to pull the engine to change the oil pump.My past experience with them being what it was, I told him to hold on and said I was going to call around for other options. The next nearest dealer is 2 1/2 hours away and no one else locally wanted to work on it. I called VW of A to ask if I could speak with some sort of tech adviser but was told they didnt have anything like that only a case manager for complaints. I did say that I would like to speak with the case manager and she promised to have someone call within 24 hours. I got a call three days later. I mentioned my previous experiences with this dealership and lack of confidence in their honesty firstly but also their competence and wanted it on record before anything started because I knew I didnt have any reasonable options. It was noted. I called Lithia and asked if there was any way of knowing if any damage had been done to the motor and was assured they would not proceed if that were the case and said there was practically no chance anything had happened to it anyway because of the robust construction of the engine and the car has safeguards to protect itself. I reluctantly gave them the okay to proceed. A month later they called and told me the car was done but that they wanted to have one of their techs drive it home (an hour away) to just make sure everything was okay. They must have driven it around the parking lot and determined they couldnt do that because they called back a half hour later and said the check engine light had come on and they wanted to look at the codes and would call me back. This was on a Friday and they called me Monday and said they were going to have to pull the engine again. This was my service adviser again and he promised me it wouldnt cost me a penny more, and they just wanted to check everything out. I contacted VW of A again and noted what was going on. They again promised me that my case manager would follow up within 24 hours. And again it was two or three days before she called. Theyre all trained to commiserate with you and tell you how bad they feel that this is happening and assure you that this is not typical for Volkswagen service and theyre doing everything they possibly can to help resolve this issue. Uh huh... Lithia had the car for another month claiming that a gasket or seal had failed and it wasnt their fault but that they needed to change the cam chains now and there werent any in the country but they were being air freighted from Germany and again assured me it wouldnt cost a penny more than the original quote of $4200 and the car would be perfect.Back together and another check engine light. The engine comes out again. Now it needs cam adjusters and there arent any in the country. After 3 months we got the car back. The bill was $4,900 but he finally relented and stood by his original guarantee of not being a penny more than the $4,200.00 He said it should have cost us $15,000.00. I called again to speak with my case manager and again was promised shed call me within 24 hours. Someone did call me within 24 hours this time but it wasnt her. They were calling me to tell me she was out of the office and would call me when she got back in. She did, two days later. I told her again about the 3 months, the multiple engine pullings, the lack of communication from the dealership, etc etc and said I wanted an official complaint about the service and wanted them to know I had zero confidence in my repair. We drove it for a week and the check engine light came on. We took it back in to have them check it out and were told two days later that multiple codes had gone off and they had an engineer coming in the next day to help them diagnose the problems. Now, (over a week later) someone Ive never spoken with before called and said the engineer still hadnt been in (not their fault) but they suspected I needed a new engine. That call was this morning. This is Lithia Volkswagen in Des Moines Iowa.I just got off the phone with VW of A and was again assured of how much they cared about my situation and reiterated that this is not how VW does business and that they were doing everything within their power to make sure this situation is being resolved and that that resolution will be my renewed confidence in VW, blah blah, blah... and my case manager will call me within 24 hours.Ive owned six and Ive talked others into buying them. People ask me maybe monthly how I like my Volkswagen. For the last couple of years Ive still encouraged the car while saying I hadnt had good experiences with the dealership. Ive always conceded though that those could have just been bad luck and they shouldnt go by my opinions but should check into them themselves. I wont say that anymore, not about Lithia, and not about Volkswagen.

2011 Golf GTI with 110,000 miles. Entire intake replaced at 96,000 miles. Known issue with VW. Customer care refused to help. Now, at 110,000 miles, the hydraulic timing chain tensioner slipped causing the need to completely replace the engine for approx. $5,500. VW customer care, again did nothing. Just a heads-up to anyone interested in a Volkswagen group product, these engines are in many vehicles and have major issues.

I lease the Rabbit, because the salesman stated I could buy the car after 48 months with purchase option around $8,500.00. The value was written on the contract. In the last month of my lease, I called VW to confirm the payoff - $8,500.00. So, Im going to refinance the car for purchase or trade the car. I found a Nissan. He agreed to give me $10,000.00 on trade. Its a fair deal; the VW was listed for $12-14 thousand. The Nissan dealer signed a power of attorney to procure the lease title of the VW. VW told him his payoff was $11,930.00. Now, Ive driven the Nissan off the lot. I called VW again, asking what difference it does make if the payoff check comes from me or a car dealer. They said, Dont send a check with the dealerships name on it. To make a long story short, though I could have paid off the VW myself, Nissan didnt want to wait for the title. I lost about $1,500.00 through re-negotiations plus emotional trauma. The payoff should be the payoff. Monopolizing and false advertising are illegal. Nowhere on the lease contract did it state the payoff would be different if you were trading in the car at Nissan. I found a form faxed to Nissan from Bill **. VW apparently could purchase the car for $8,500.00. If you want to trade, buy your car first. The leasing company pays all sales tax on the total price of the vehicle when you sign the lease. So if you purchase the leased car, maybe you pay tax on the $8500.00 figure. Nevertheless, look up the Illinois law definition of false advertisement. The omission or concealment of material facts on which a person relies upon when purchasing a product is hereby illegal (paraphrase). There is no way I could have known this was going to happen to me. It was not stated on the lease agreement.VW lied; they told me that at the end of the lease, I could trade the car at any dealership--Dodge, Toyota, etc.--and that VW of America would honor the purchase option price. What a crock. But how do we know when its not written in the least contract. The payoff should be the payoff. You buy a house, the payoff is the payoff. You refinance, the payoff is the payoff. I called for my payoff before I went looking for another vehicle. What VW is doing needs to be outlawed under truth in lending laws.

I had my VW Jetta for three years, the problem began when I wanted to purchase the vehicle I leased. It took 3 months of calling to get the payoff in writing. I would call VW Credit and sit on hold for at least 30 minutes, before someone would answer. If I could stay on hold that long, I work full-time, and my Mother had heart surgery, so time was not something I had a lot of. If and or when someone would answer, one of two things would happen. They would disconnect me or tell me they could not help me. Call the dealership. I call the dealership and they tell me to call VW Credit. Finally, I got the payoff, then the check engine light comes on. Guess what happened when I took it to the dealership, the same all over again. Ive been there three times with nothing in writing as to whats wrong with it. Plus an open recall that was not even addressed. I am saddened by the complete disconnect from VW. I have an appointment at a local Ford dealership, that has a former VW technician on staff to diagnose the problem. I really thought VW was a quality product, I never had this problem with a Ford.

Car door sustained damage when water was trapped in the door frame and froze. VW would repair the damage if car was 4 years old or newer as it would be within warranty parameters. They are aware that the structure was at fault as they have fixed cars within the parameters. Our complaint is that they never contacted us to inform us that this could be a problem or offered a way to fix the structure before the ice peeled back the door skin. Now they offer no compensation as it is outside the warranty parameters. How does a structure of design have a warranty?

VW has a horrible service and warranty program. It is one of the main reasons that this is the last VW I will own. A local dealer owns the three local dealers so it could be them but since we have no other options it is really neither here nor there. Initially you could get results when calling VW corporate but even that has gone downhill. Besides should you really have to do that for the dealer to do the right thing? I purchased a brand-new model of 2016 VW Golf GTI last year. I havent driven it much, which only has less than 4000 miles on it now. Recently, I had a flat tire due to the poor quality of Hankook tire (made in Korea) used by VW manufacturer. My flat tire happened when I was driving on a freeway (in very good condition) when the passenger side front tire suddenly burst a hole in its sidewall with no road hazard present. I called VW local dealership but was told to contact Hankook (the tire maker) directly by myself.Hankook did not follow the companys established procedure for handling tire warranty, but rushed to an arbitrary judgement on tire damage in its own favor, insisting on saying it was caused by road hazard. It never allowed the local VW dealership to fill out a tire warranty coverage claim form on my behalf. I paid $200+ out of my own pocket for tire replacement. I deeply regret that VW chose Hankook over other better tire brands. Hankook tires poor quality makes VW vehicles prone to road accidents. It also makes VW look cheap. For these reasons, I would strongly advise fellow motorists not to consider VW Golf GTI among their purchasing options.

VW, nor the dealership, ever bothered to inform me of the issue of ice getting trapped in the door, and causing the door to curl up like a piece of paper in the same way yours did. Because they never bothered to inform me, I assumed someone hit my door, and ended up paying to have this fixed at an independent shop, for something they should have taken care of under warranty. The dealership (Flynn Volkswagen) couldnt be bothered to install the foam fix inside the door before the car was sold new in 2011 two years later before it even left the lot, which would have prevented the problem from occurring in the first place.

Ive leased Volkswagens for 20 years. I currently have three leases, two Jettas and a new Passat Limited. Since leasing the Passat, I have had nothing but problems. Two weeks after leasing it, the gas floater stopped working and the whole system had to be replaced. I got it back a week later and the car smelled so badly of gas and this odor lingered for over a month. They couldnt do anything about it either.Next, we were driving and the tire pressure light came on so we went to have it checked at the dealership and they said everything was fine. A few hours later we got a flat and had to pay for it out of pocket. Ive only had the car for a few months and its just issue after issue. I trusted the dealership. They know I have a family and their comfort is important. I didnt realize til recently that there are no air vents in the back seat! Im pay $285+ a month for a lease (plus $1500 down) and there are no air vents in the backseat. Its just appalling. After 20 years with VW, this will be my last. I put in a complaint to the dealership and VW corporate and just received a call that they will not help with a trade in. ABSURD! Their customer service has gone downhill for sure. About a month later (definitely not within the qp days VW was supposed to respond). I got a final offer letter. I signed the correct places, had it notarized and faxed it on as directed. Two weeks and two phone calls later to customer support the status remained as waiting for fax. So I faxed the documents again. Another wasted phone call to CS to find out why they dont/cant acknowledge receiving my fax... Then I get an email stating I didnt send all pages of my offer. So back to another fax ($8) every time. Twenty four hours later status is waiting for fax... I have transmission receipt showing all 7 pages were successfully sent. Another call to CS and again they give me a non answer... After having issues with our dashboard lights going crazy, we began reading other complaints online. We learned that the issues we were having came directly from a faulty ABS module, and then came across a VW recall on our car for the ABS module. After talking to VWs Recall Department, they told us it did indeed fall under the specific recall, and we could take it into any dealer for a fix. Our car went in on a Tuesday morning, and after 3 days of poor customer service and no answers, the mechanic let us know the ABS Module would not be covered, and we would have to pay out of pocket. He said he had even called VW directly to verify they wouldnt pay for it. We were then quoted $1300 for the repair, plus a $225 diagnostic test. He suggested I call them directly.I called the VW Recall Department again, and told them what happened. I let them know my biggest concern was the fact that they told us our car was part of this recall, and they were now unwilling to fix the issue. I also let them know the ABS brakes have always caused me issues, nearing killing me when I lost control while braking once. They said they would write it up, and look into it and get back to me in one business day. I am waiting to hear back, but there has been a lot of reason to think they will just use some excuse to not replace something so dangerous and faulty. Well see.

Altogether infuriating experience. Because I live more than an hours drive away, I made a morning appointment to take my Passat in and find out why it was leaking coolant. I expected to be able to take it home that afternoon at the very latest. I showed up a few minutes before my 11:00am appointment, and was immediately told my car could not even be looked at until 2:30pm. And that they would call me when they had news. Seriously? Why do they set appointments at all if it is meaningless? Fortunately, my husband was also in town with his car, so he picked me up and we ran a few errands. By around 4:30, I still had not heard a word from VW, so I called the service department. THEN I was told that they still had not figured it out.... probably it still had not even been looked at. So we went back up the road to home, an hour and 20 minutes north.Late the next afternoon they finally called to tell me that my car needed a new heater core that would cost almost $1,700. That, in addition to the nearly $150 they charge just to diagnose the problem. I told them Id pick it up the following day, which I did. Another trip into Springfield, more miles on my husbands car and 2 1/2 hours out of an already busy day, just to go get it. So I wrote them out an invoice of my own, charging for the extra cost on my end as a result of them not honoring my appointment time. Im sure they laughed at that... and of course they did not discount my diagnostic bill to compensate, not one penny. In the meantime, I was in touch with a local trusted mechanic that I should have gone to in the first place, who said he could install a new heater core for about $750, less than half what the VW quote was. I wont be giving Napleton VW of Springfield any more of my business, and advise anyone else to steer clear as well.

Without getting long winded, the gist of the story is, everything seemed to be an issue and not under warranty for whatever reason, blah blah blah. I had owned a Mazda for years prior, and never had ANY issues with warranty work being done. Even the smallest complaint and they fixed it right up, no questions asked. I have had all kinds of things to go wrong. My VR6 CC runs great but the engine light will come on and I take it to the Volkswagen dealership. Every time they tell me that a sensor has gone bad it cost me around $400 dollars every time. I have had 2 fuel sensor replaced. Now I find out that I have been over filling my tank making the service light to come on. Now I stop putting extra fuel in and the service light went off. Now my brake light is on. I called the service department and they told me that it is probably a sensor. I also have a turning light on. I replaced the light but it still does not work. I was told I would have to hook it up to the computer to find out why it is not working. When I first purchased the car I had 2 front wheel bearings to go out under 36k miles. The dealership told me that it was not the wheel bearings. At 40k they check it out and told me that it was bad wheel bearing. This was after the warranty ran out. The wheel bearings were $250 each and labor was $250 each. I finally got them to cover the parts but I was responsible for the labor. If they would have fixed the problem when I told them it would have all been covered. It seems every time I get a call or get the oil changed a light comes on. I have always wondered if they have a way to turn lights on. I also had to change out the wiring harness for the trunk at 50k and it was over $500.

My five years old 2011 VW Tiguan had two major mechanical problems. One problem with the fuel injection was fixed for free because of the recall. Another problem was the antifreeze leak that would cost me more than $3K to fix. That made me decide to trade it in for the reliable Volvo. One week after giving away Tiguan, the second car made by VW Jetta Sport Wagon 2013 didnt start. The dealership diagnosed sensor problem that can be fixed for only $300. After few hours they call us back (probably thought they didnt ripped us off enough) and told us that the computer is broken and need to be replaced. It will be another $1600 + $300 for the sensor that might be broken or not. We are very scared to hear from those VW people tomorrow. The car is very expensive and in the hands of people we dont trust who keep finding wrong things with very costly parts. I already told my sad story everyone I know. At this point we used to have two new cars and ended up with nothing just because we shopped at VW. I hope people learn from our mistake and that VW manufacturing stop producing these very expensive but so below lowest quality cars.

Dealer could not get trunk unlocked, so instead of fixing the internal latch at the door to open the trunk, they called a locksmith and charged us $125 for a key to unlock the trunk. Got the car home, the key to unlock the trunk did not work. There is no place to put a key in the trunk, the latch still did not work and we could not get the trunk open. Called the dealer and they refused to refund $125.Did some online research and found there is a button in the glove compartment to push which resets the trunk, pushed the button and the trunk opened. Again, advised dealer of this and the inability of their staff to fix this issue and again requested refund, again was refused. Now, they wont even respond to us. When daughter went to pick up the car and pay for what was supposed to be an oil change, she questioned the charge and they were very rude to her, caused her embarrassment and caused her to cry. Being a foreigner for over 4 years in the US, I had a hard time building credit, trying to get credit cards but banks never wanting to give them due to being on a US visa. So after I got denied several times years before I finally got financing on a Passat with $6000 down payment and a 14% interest rate and of course the salespeople at VW Santa Monica scamming me by making the price higher when we did the contract, from $17399 to suddenly $18956 or something including all the fees, so that I pay interest ON the fees as well (did not know better) paying $26.000 something on the car when paid off! So almost $9000 more than this crappy car is worth. Anyway, after paying on time for more than 1 year, I lost my job and fell behind with payments. I called a few times asking to refinance or lower the payments to no avail. Then fell behind 5 month and of course when I call they tell me car is in repo but they take the repo off if I pay at least 4 payments asap. I tell them I am overseas and need to have my US checks cleared through my bank which took 3-4 weeks over the Christmas holidays. So as soon as it cleared I send a money order via FedEx with 5 month worth of payments to get current. So I call 2 weeks later and they tell me I have to return the car as my account was closed. I am like, WHAT??? They told me on the phone if I pay 5 payments they will take off the repo and I can pay monthly via bank transfer from then on, and I call and they just canceled everything they said before and say Pay $14.000 - right now or bring the car back. I cannot believe it. They say, Contract says bla bla cancelled when in default, even after I agreed on the phone to pay them 5 payments and get current and DID pay them, they say, It was TOO LATE and now they want the total outstanding on the car within days or need the car back. What a ** company, the WORST liars and scammers out there! I paid up, she confirmed my payment but supposedly it was days too late. So now I dont know what to do, lose $26000, and the car, cannot drive to work without a car, still have to pay off the rest. Instead of working with us these scammers rather take your car and still have you pay off the rest because they is how they make money. NEVER VOLKSWAGEN AGAIN. Worst car company ever. I am going back to Honda or anything that is better than this ** pile of a company. Will tell all my friends to never buy a VW!

I bought a VW Tiguan in Dec. 2019, top of the line with bells and whistles.
I bought a VW Tiguan in Dec. 2019, top of the line with bells and whistles. About 14,000 Km after, when I took it for the 15k km service, I asked them to have a look at the brakes as theyve started to make some noise. They said the brakes overheat, the metal is blue (sign of overheating) and they theyll need to be replaced. $1,500 invoice. They said the warranty doesnt want to cover it as it is a consumable. I know that the warranty doesnt cover consumables (oil, filters, brake pads etc), but this is the first car I have to change the brakes under 60,000 - 80,000 Km. I love my cars and I look after them, but I see this as a factory defect, not a user error.I would like to clarify something: Ive owned and drove multiple cars along the years. Im a car guy, I love cars. I bought the Tiguan for my wife, but I drove it 90% of the time due to some circumstances. I had multiple German cars, Japanese and American cars over the years. Just so you know, Im not looking for any freebies, discounts or anything like that. Just want the manufacturer and representatives to stand behind their claims and contracts. The dealer cant change them on warranty, theyve submitted pictures and technical reports to VW Canada but theyve rejected any warranty claims. Ive called them directly to talk about the situation, theyve opened another case and VW Canada said theyll get back to me in 48 hours. Few days later I called them again as I didnt hear anything from them. They said another 48 hours...This becomes a joke, they throw the blame from one to the other and together to the put it in the owners lap to pay it. The warranty is a shame, they make the best to get out of replacing faulty parts or repair them stating its user fault. I start to have doubts about the parts reliability and warranty, at least not in North America. Unless you have a blown engine in less than 1,000 Km, they wont cover anything, and even then, they might say youve done something wrong to it or looked in the mirror the wrong way.

After 6 years of being a loyal customer to Volkswagen, this is the thanks I get. I have a lease that is up Feb. 2016. November 2015 I was called into my dealer to trade out my car for a new lease. I explained I had fallen back on some payments, because I was out of work for a few months due to medical issues. I was making slow payments but doing my best. I had returned to work full-time and was ready to get the deal done with the new lease. They said Volkswagen, would not approve another lease because of slow payments. I was on-time every month for 51/2 years, and as you know real life happens sometimes. In any event the dealer said he was able to work out a deal and I should come in and sign papers. I arrived to the dealership at our scheduled time... waited 2 1/2 hrs. only to be told that there was an error. It was not approved and in fact Volkswagen credit wanted the dealer to confiscate my vehicle right there. They allowed me to leave yeah right gimmicks. I stepped outside and immediately called VW Credit to rectify the situation. They told me to make two payments and I would be up to date, or a least put back in the 30 mark. I agreed, I would go to Moneygram in the morning and get things squared away. Needless to say a few hours later my car was repossessed, from a friends private enclosed garage already suing which means I was followed to location lawsuit in effect. I only owed them $1,000. I had to pay $3200 to get my car back. Explain. Devils. My credit is now ruined, the vehicle is still due back in Feb. and I am assed out!! This is the second time they have screwed me over. I have bought them so much business I got 6 other family members to get a Volkswagen. So glad all leases are coming to an end. We will never support Volkswagen again. I will shout from the Mountain top!! Hate them all. Trust me lease or buy elsewhere!! Please believe me I have so many horror stories dealing with them!!

I received codes P0087 & P2293 and traced them down to a known, high-pressure fuel pump/improperly hardened camshaft problem (VW Technical Bulletin **). As a result of the failures I now have catastrophic foreign object damage (metal shavings) throughout my oil system caused by lathing to the camshaft and irreparable damage to cylinder head due to unbalanced camshaft rotation (known problem excessive wear of intake camshaft lobe Ref: VW Technical Bulletin **).Prestige Imports of Pleasantville, NY opened the engine and immediately called to tell me I needed a new engine. All I had to do was show oil change receipts for the life of the car and Id receive a new engine free of charge. However, living in the real world and being a member of the US Marines, Ive lived all over the US and had my oil serviced by the lowest bidder (often times myself). I was not going to be able to prove my oil changes (they were current though). At this point I called VW USA to open the lines of communication. I was told by VW USA not to worry, they’d look into the problem and get a better answer to the extent of the damage. After they talk to the dealer they will call back and explain the extent of the damage.A few days later the dealership called to say the car is finished. Finished? Please define finished because the last word I received was that I needed a new engine. VW USA was supposed to call you (the dealer), get a better idea of the problem & call me back so I can choose a course of action. The dealer informed me they replaced the timing belt, timing belt tensioner, and water pump. Im responsible for those repairs for about 1100 dollars. The repairs they did under warranty were a camshaft, cam follower, and high-pressure fuel pump. Ignore for minute that they have to remove the timing belt anyway to replace the camshaft. There should have been almost zero labor involved in that repair.Heres the issue. 1. I involved VW USA early and clarify the exact extent of the damage. They did not. They failed to add clarity and in fact, made matters more confusing. 2. Repairing an engine with metal shaving in the oil is a waste of money at a minimum. To be blunt it is closer to unethical and fraudulent. 3. Repairing a timing belt on an interference engine with cylinder head damage is unethical and fraudulent. 4. Calling a customer to say you need a new engine and then reversing course and completing 1100 dollars after I advise I cannot provide oil records is unethical and fraudulent. 5. VW USA taking a month to try to untangle and investigate the problem only to finally state that they are not helping is fraudulent and unethical. This issue could have not been handled worse. 1100 dollars of repairs were administered to a vehicle that is damaged. VW knows the 2.0-liter engine is an interference engine and timing is critical. VW acknowledged camshaft issues in Technical Bulletin ** but somehow wants to blame cam collateral wear on oil changes. There are metal particles in the engine oil system from acknowledged cam problems, which act like sandpaper when they circulate. Finally, there was zero productive communication with VW USA. The only communication was nightly calls from customer service agents who know nothing of automobiles or engines stating theyre still working on it or so and so wasnt there because of the holidays etc. Horrible, horrible experience. Criminal, negligent, fraudulent and to boot, to a service member and veteran.

Gunther Coconut Creek - the worst dealership ever!! Dishonest with their customers. I took my vehicle in last July due to water leaking into the vehicle from the windows. The floor got flooded and the vehicle smelled like mildew. They kept the car for more than a week and said they had fixed the problems and replaced the carpet. Only to find out, the carpet was NEVER replaced. The car still smelled like mildew. I took the car back to the service department and they refuse to replace the carpet. They also state there are no mildew smell at all. Beware of GUNTHER COCONUT CREDIT... They are sleazeballs!!

The car looks great on the outside, the inside as well. Very comfortable car and spacious. The drive is smooth and affordable in gas. Its not a big SUV and not too small. Enough room to fit 5 people and a large trunk. Very happy with the design of the vehicle. As for the engine, I did have a few issues. Instead of a timing belt its a chain which needs to be changed and very costly. The pieces are ok in price but had to add some extra money on top of my payments. That was the downfall of this purchase.

I just bought my car (used) five months ago with +_ 52,000 miles on it. Great carfax, nothing wrong with the car. A little over a week ago, the timing chain slipped and destroyed the engine, causing thousands of dollars in repairs. I have contacted everyone I can think of for assistance with this issue; considering the car only has a little over 61,000 miles on it now. Volkswagen has offered no help with the problem whatsoever. Considering this is a defect in the manufacturing of the vehicle, I would think they would offer some assistance considering the amount of trouble they are in now with the TDI trouble they are in. I have owned three cars previously and never had such a horrible experience with them. I went with Volkswagen because I was under the impression they were a reliable and dependable car. They are far from that. Because of this issue, I now have a car loan for the next 5 years and no car to show for it. I have researched this issue and its not just me with the problem. Many other people have had the same issue before 100,000 miles on their VW as well. If you are considering this brand, DONT! They are of no help and have so many loopholes in their warranty so when something catastrophic happens, you wont be covered. There are so many other car brands out there. Go with someone else. VW is a HUGE disappointment in customer service and reliability. Hopefully, with the current lawsuit they have against them, they will go out of business so no one else has this problem.

I noticed my 2009 Volkswagen Tiguan Headliner was coming apart from the sunglass compartment. The next morning it had separated from the light. I drove my car to the Lundes dealer in Peoria. The serviceman gave me the number to Volkswagen customer service. I spoke to Dylan, who told me they only warranty the item for 3 years/36 thousand miles. I was so upset. I asked to talk to his supervisor, who on a Friday was not around. I received a call from Stephanie this morning, restating my concerns of the failing headliner. I asked if she wanted pictures to help VW figure out why they have failing glue. She just repeated what the script reader had to say. I then asked to talk to her manager. I havent heard from them. I cannot believe a car this age has a headliner falling down. I would be ashamed if I was Volkswagen. This is not a wear and tear item. This should not be happening. Thanks Volkswagen for the disappointment.

Receiving my final invoice from VW credit for 4,888. This was a lease return that I thought was factored into the deal. Guess what, it was not. I am writing this as I just received my final invoice coming off a lease. Well guess what, I owe 4,888 dollars. This was back from May of 2018. At the time I gave Lakeland VW 5 stars. Matter of fact went and purchased 2 more VW as I was so happy. Well stupid me I should have asked more questions before signing any paperwork. Of course they took my trade/lease and gave me 1,000 dollars to make up for the remaining 6 lease payments. At the time this seemed weird but they told me not to worry about it, You will get your final invoice showing the remaining lease payments, take the money we send you and pay your final invoice from VW credit. What they didnt tell me is that you will also have to pay for high mileage, dents, dings and any excessive wear and tear. Well this just cost me an additional 3,888 dollars. Stupid me (because I have never leased). All they did was take and send it back to VW credit. I thought this was being treated as a normal trade in and any excessive wear and tear was factored into the deal. NOPE just the opposite. One would think they would have fully disclosed this prior to me signing the deal. Had I would have known I would have just kept the car until the lease ran out and just purchased it out right, which I had planned to do anyways. I have spoke to VW Corp and VW credit and of course there is nothing that can do, this lies with the dealership. I am warning you, if your coming off a lease be very careful and ask 1,000 of questions before signing your name. 7 months later you will get the same invoice as I did. Cost me an additional 3,888 bucks. Stupid me, go somewhere else that will have full disclosure since this is not your day job and youre trusting others with your money or at least trusting others to fully disclose your huge purchase. I would like the dealership to honor paying the additional 3,600 dollars that should have been factored into the deal.

My car gets decent MPG but the inferior quality of the car more than cancels out any savings I may have had on fuel. Oct 2012 - The fuel pump imploded. $6,600 worth of damage. Aug 2013 - EGR valve = bad. Had to be replaced. $709.53 out of pocket. Sept 2013 - Diesel particulate filter = bad. Had to be replaced. EGR valve had to be replaced AGAIN. $1,714.80 out of pocket. I leased a 2017 VW Tiguan in Jan 2018. It had only 6025 miles on it. When entering my Garage it suddenly had acceleration to damage the Cars front and garage wall which made a big hole in it. I contacted VW HQ Customer Care immediately in Auburn Hills, MI and they listened and kept me asking questions again and again how it happened. First they said will give you a case number. Then later they asked to send a letter that I am not going to litigate on this matter which was promptly mailed for they will not accept an email to this effect. I also contact their US CEO in Herndon, VA Office sending them all pictures of damage to Car and garage Wall and Door access to home. These pictures were taken by Insurer Liberty Mutual. Unfortunately due a mistake I forgot to get Rental Car Coverage from Liberty Ins. It is costing $330 per week in NJ. Car I am told will not be repaired for 3-4 weeks to get parts.I also asked for stopping lease payments $212 p.m starting Nov 15 and keep me whole on damage to the garage wall and related costs. The VW rep did not sound too enthusiastic. I have had as a student a VW Beetle to drive several times. It was a great little car. This sudden acceleration of TIGUAN, a Police guy told me is now happening in some Cars that had faulty electronics synced with Transmission. It is very frightening if the same had happened on Highway behind a Long haul truck. Fortunately I did not suffer any injury. Police Report is due to send to VW HQ Customer care.

In March 2016 I experienced my first issue with not being able to open my trunk, took it into a VW Dealership for service and found the root cause to be the trunk wire harness, lucky I had an extended warranty, my out of pocket expense was $300. Now, its January 2018 the same problem just happened again right after I spent $1300 for maintenance. My comment and concern is that I would not expect to have an ongoing issue with my trunk and backup lights not working because a trunk wire harness keeps breaking. In particularly because I dont use my trunk on a daily basis. Wondering if this is a design flaw? I love my 2011 VW CC, it performs well and so far hasnt given me any major problems (have had it for 3 years). Of course, I have to make an appointment and get it fixed. I wish there was something that could be done with the trunk harness to prevent it from breaking. If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate it if you would share it.

My Jetta just had its engine blow up essentially. There is a manufacturer defect and these should have been recalled. I was driving when the engine decided to just stop working. I could have killed someone. There is a class action lawsuit for this exact issue. When trying to get this issue resolved and get a portion covered to replace the motor, we were given the run around. We have been told that it would be 10k for a new motor. The consumer “advocate” says there is nothing they can do about it and refuses to escalate this to another individual above her pay grade. VW has poor customer service, questionable business model and just overall poor business practices. I will NEVER purchase another VW and I caution others in the purchasing of one. I consider the official VW parts website to be a reliable source of information. After all you can enter your exact VIN to look up the parts for your specific car. The entire purpose of a VIN # is make sure you get the exact part for your vehicle. However the website it not entirely accurate. I looked up a part for my vehicle (specifically) rear rotor and it gave me the size I needed. It didnt give me an option for more than one size, so that had to be the correct one. The problem was that the part size was completely incorrect. I only noticed the error after I went to install the part of course. I called customer care to state my issue twice and they just said that the information on their website are correct and that is the size I need. So I called my local dealer and they confirmed that the website was inaccurate. I called customer care back week later and this time they acknowledge that after speaking with the dealerships that the website was in fact incorrect.I had to order the part from an independent supplier because the website was giving me false information. They said that since I did not order from them they can not be liable for the information. I tried getting some type of compensation because I just wasted $120 on incorrect parts based on the info they gave me. They said that the website has a data contract on every page that states that the information on their website can be incorrect and subject to change. Keep in mind this is a 2011 vehicle so the information is no longer changing. Basically never use the parts VW website as a source or order parts from the website because the information can be incorrect and they will do nothing about it.

I would have thought that Volkswagen would have learned from their mistakes
I would have thought that Volkswagen would have learned from their mistakes and lies that caused them humiliation and tarnished their repute and customer loyalty. I thought VW is sincere to fix this emission issue and work with impacted consumers. I suffered twice by this VW fraud, first after knowing that I had been polluting the air and destroying our environment by driving my 2012 Passat TDI, and then not been able to use the car for months as it failed SMOG test. I was hoping to get rid of it after the court settlement, but I got into an accident and car got totaled. But unfortunately, due to the diesel emission fraud the car resale value went so low and I literally got 1/3 of the original price I paid, which was not enough to even buy a decent used car.I was hoping that upon VW fraud case settlement, I should be compensated for the balance, but after such a long wait, I found out that the registration for the fraud claim I did in October/November 2015 was not sufficient and I had to submit another claim for which the deadline was September 2016!!! When I didnt hear from VW on the claim and what are the next steps for me, I was told that I was supposed to sign a different claim (not the goodwill claim, that I signed up). As I had not submitted another claim, I am not eligible for the VW settlement Claim anymore!!! This is really sad and BAD customer service. I called their customer service team, who was not able to assist me with this and Im not going to get anything for this fraud that they committed. They asked me to call their legal team to address the issue. After leaving multiple messages, I received call from Casey **, who told me the same that I missed the deadline to apply to be eligible for claim and theres nothing that can be done now. Im very disappointed and disgusted by this whole ordeal by such a reputable organization (at one point), they lied, and screwed up big time, and now cutting corners to avoid paying consumers. In this entire ordeal, I learned my lesson and for sure will never buy another car from VW, Audi or whoever theyre affiliated with. Volkswagen still cheating with consumers on emission. VW management shame on you!!!

For a second time now the push open door to the gas tank would not open. I was 40 miles from home and there was ZERO way to fill up my car with gas. I was on fumes, there was no-one or a service company around to help me. There is a manufacturing problem with the gas push open door and after a while there is a part that goes bad according to the Volkswagen reps and it seals shut. There are no indicator lights or warnings that this is going to happen. So, you get STRANDED with zero warning!! I was able to force pull the door open but the door did break and the silver rectangle cosmetic piece covering the door fell off and the black door cannot close or it will not open again--Both pieces now need repair. It is a malfunction in the companies car design and should be considered for recall. I called to try to resolve the matter today with the 1-800 Volkswagen Customer Care line and the lady on the phone was ZERO help and would NOT let me speak to the Volkswagen supervisor and said she spoke to him/her for me and they stand firm on their decision. I was extremely disappointed. THIS is TERRIBLE customer service and this is a SAFETY issue -- not being able to put gas in your car is not too much to ask when you buy a car. They said they will NOT cover the repair on my car because it is old, 2014 with 79,000 miles on it that I have taken GREAT care of and is in good condition. There is always the ROAD TO YES and I believe Volkswagen should take better care of their customers and help FIX the NOW problem. The Volkswagen dealership service people reported to me that they have seen this problem MULTIPLE times but there is no recall for it. To say I am disappointed is an understatement and I do not think I will be back as a purchasing customer--again EVER.

Volkswagen shouldnt be sold in the US. The customer service is awful and the warranty means nothing. I traveled to Michigan for a quick vacation. The car broke down hours away from my destination. Get a towing truck through road assistance was almost impossible. My car was sent to a dealership 2 hours away from where I was staying. 12 hours later I received a call to let me know they got my car and they were going to inspect it in 1 week, I was staying there for only 2 days. After spending 7 hours on the phone, I decided to take a taxi to get a rental car (the closest rental was 1 hour and a half away). Volkswagen couldnt provide me a loaner/rental. I had to paid for everything. Everybody I talked to over the phone told me to contact the trip interruption department. After spending 200 dollars in a taxi, I get a call that the car was ready. According to them, the car was not fixed correctly at the dealership in Chicago (Volkswagen Irving Park Chicago). Took another taxi the other way, another $200. Once I got there, the Muskegon Volkswagen rep told me the following: We reconnected a hose that they forgot to connect when they replace the crankshaft sensor in Chicago... Please note the car has only 25K miles and broke a few weeks before this. They charged me because a different Volkswagen made a mistake but trip interruption was going to take care of this. Long story short, I made it back to Chicago, mailed all the receipts as they told me to do and today I got a call to let me know the case was declined. This is not money related, I dont care about the money but I can tell that Volkswagen customer service is awful... In Muskegon, in Chicago... Everywhere... even the customer CARE. I dont understand how they do business with this poor customer care. Definitely, not buying a Volkswagen again. On top of that I bought the extended warranty!!! I told them I appreciated the gesture, but felt that a 3 year old vehicle should not have this issue. I wanted them to stand behind their product and replace the seat belts. I asked to speak to a supervisor and got the runaround, until she finally agreed to talk to her supervisor. Instead of a supervisor coming on the line after I sat waiting to dead air for 5 minutes or so, Jenny came back on and said SHE spoke to the supervisor and the supervisor agreed with her position. I told her I wanted to speak to the supervisor and I wanted the name of the person she spoke to. She kept trying to avoid the issue and then finally said she spoke to Sharonda. I asked to speak to her and was told she could only put my request in the system and someone else would contact me by Monday.

If I had only known what an awesome car the 2013 Volkswagen Tiguan was I would have bought another like it. This car is reliable, safe, comfortable, looks great, handles great and good on gas. I wish I had known sooner. What great car!

In my brand new Tiguan, the air condition stuffed up and stopped cooling. I went down to the service in Parramatta. They told me that it will take a while to fix and they have no cars to give me and they aren’t sure what to do. They couldn’t even call me a taxi. I think VW is the worst company to deal with and customer value to them is zero. What a waste of my time for being a good customer.

Cant believe the nerve of Volkswagen’s warranty and a slap on the hand. Dealership guys were very respectful and friendly but doing very bad illegal things again. Took my 2011 TDI Jetta under warranty to the dealership for LONG START and ACCELERATION LAG, (fuel issues). Day 2 of having my vehicle, Jason via text message asked for approval to do a fuel filter and air filter change for 185+tax. I asked wasnt FUEL FILTER covered under my warranty. Via text message, was told NO. Called corporate and was set up with an advisor (Kyle) who did not return my call before I was told to come get my car on day 3. Went to the dealership and spoke to a supervisor named Matt **. Asked him to explain what part about ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM doesnt apply to the fuel filter. His explanation to me, maybe it was worded wrong. I am a certified MASTER tech and I bought this car for the warranty VW was offering. Couldnt believe it. Shouldnt have believed it. I have attached a copy of a page from my warranty booklet which leads us consumers buying these vehicles to believe Volkswagen has our back, not that we are buying and inheriting someone elses problem. I bought the vehicle about 4,000 miles ago and was told it needed done and asked for money for it. Since I did not get the job done, I was charged $143 this morning to get my vehicle back. I asked for a itemized list of what the tech did to diagnose my vehicle since I am paying $135+tax for diag. Was that honored? No, for 3 days my vehicle was with them and my warranty not covered. Advisors say whatever the dealership says because clearly in black and white for anyone to read ENTIRE not excluding filter, would lead you to believe it is covered, especially when the system is under high pressure and you have to prime the system so its really not a DIY for most consumers buying these vehicles. I didnt write the warranty and it should be honored. Not only that, my warranty also states conflicts concerning the warranty, are to be resolved in favor of the consumer. Volkswagen follow the law and honor your warranty and not play word games with the people you are trying to earn the trust back from. Im going to the top with my issue and litigation for selling me a vehicle under false advertising. Not only that, but I also have a warranty under the HPFP recall warranting me anything that touches gas. If I have to fight for my $143 back and my warranty honored, Im going to make sure the courts give their vehicle back to them.

I went in because my car stopped in the middle of the road 5 times on a Friday. Volkswagen provided me a car for the weekend and then told me on that Monday which was October 9th that there was a recall on the fuel pump and module and that is why my car is stopping in the middle of the road. I called Tom Bush Volkswagen in Jacksonville on that Friday when my car stopped because I was in the middle of traffic and almost got hit. I was in tears and that is why the guy got me a car to drive for the weekend. They want me to pay $850.00 for parts that is not my fault. I dont have money for that and just recovering from Hurricane Irma. I do not have it. I am not mad at Tom Bush they tried everything to get my car fixed for the recall. I am more than frustrated with the Volkswagen company because I was told I have to pay for the parts and they know it’s a recall and then they will reimburse me. I feel in danger to drive my car and have not driven my car since then because it stops more than three times in traffic. I feel like Volkswagen should fix my car because they know it’s a recall. This is not my fault so why am I catching rides to and from work because I cant drive my car. This rating really deserves a zero. Volkswagen does not care about my safety or my familys safety when I have to try and drive a car that stops because of their faulty equipment. Something needs to be done and fast. Its now a month and I have no car to drive.

Beware of the scam Half off the oil change. It looks like they might be putting half the oil!!! From day one always service my vehicle with Volkswagen. No one besides Volkswagen dealerships shop serviced my vehicle. A few days ago the car stopped on the freeway while driving. Lucky no one was hurt. When insurance inspector got back to me they stated that the cause of the accident was Engine fail due to zero oil in Engine. The engine had turned black inside and there was no sign of an oil change done for months. Which is not true. Also no sign of any leakage. None of the service light ever came on indicating that there was something wrong with the vehicle! The vehicle even states that Im not due for an oil change yet! When I called VW they gave me the runaround basically telling me that even though the car is not due for an oil change for another 2000 mile or months their hands are tied. Because The vehicle has too many mileage (94000) and to old (2011). But they would be happy to forward my complaint to the dealer that did my oil change. They didnt even offer to have my car inspected by one of their shop. Thought I was saving when I got that offer in the mail half off my oil change. Which now is going to cost me a new engine!

VW CC was purchased three years ago as a Dealer Certified car with 42,000 miles. Performed the 45,000 mile and 60,000 mile major services at the dealer costing over $3,500 for regular maintenance. One day after performing the 70,000 mile service with the dealer the check engine light comes on and the engine starts running roughly and stalling. VW Dealer tells me the intake manifold is a free warranty repair but demands payment of $400 to clean carbon build-up in the pistons/injectors. DO NOT BUY VW. YOU WILL REGRET THE EXPERIENCE OF OWNING IT.

I took my VW Polo Vivo sedan 2016 model in for a 90000ks service the 1st we
I took my VW Polo Vivo sedan 2016 model in for a 90000ks service the 1st week in July. I told the technician that there is a cluck cluck noise coming from the drivers side. Can he please check it. When I got the car back he said the battery needed to be replaced and but I could still drive the car. A week later the car wouldnt start, so took it back to the dealer that did the service and had them replace the battery. I still told him there is this cluck cluck noise. They replaced the battery and he said that he heard the noise but I can still drive the car. They picked up that an irregularity on an injector but I can still drive the car. Only when the EPC light comes on then I must bring the car in. The same day I replaced the battery while on my way home the car wouldnt go faster than 40ks and this cluck cluck noise got louder and louder, eventually the car wouldnt go anymore and I had to get towed home. The next day I called a VW near my house and they said that they cant help me. They fully booked. They can only help me the Friday the 12Th. So I had the car towed in, the security guard at the gate closed the gate in the tow truck and let us drive around aimlessly trying to find the service department. Booked my car in and they took me home. I called in at 3pm that day to ask if they had found something and the guy said to me there is a waiting period of 24 to 48 hours for the technician to look at my car. So I called on every time to this dealer to find out what was wrong with my car. By Tuesday the 16th they still didnt know what was wrong with my car. Wednesday the 17th they said to me the spark plug melted, they couldnt explain how that happened. So they needed me to pay a R6500 stripping fee so they could strip the engine. Thursday they came back and said that the gasket between cylinder 1 and 2 is burnt, they would get back to me with a quote. Thursday even they came back to me with a quote of R45000 that the engine needs to be overhauled. Im still asking how can a car go in for service and a week later the car isnt working and now the engine needs to be overhauled. I logged a complaint with VW SA and they also of no help. Both dealerships are not willing to help me. So now its almost 3 weeks and I dont have a car, and no one is willing to help me. This whole experience has left a sour taste in my mouth and I will never buy another VW in my life. I will also tell people not to buy VWs and what service they in for.
