This week we took a spin in the redesigned 2024 Mercedes-Benz AMG C 63 E Performance. The new sports sedan has traded in the previous V-8 for a 4-cylinder hybrid powertrain generating up to 671 hp, which is hard not to love. 2023 McLaren Artura McLaren's Artura plug-in hybrid supercar was another car we tested this week. It may only pack a V-6, but thanks to electrification it also makes a stout 671 hp. Donkervoort F22 Dutch performance marque Donkervoort rolled out the new F22 sports car this week. It serves as a follow-up to Donkervoort's D8 series of track cars, and brings a new chassis, a new technique for manufacturing carbon fiber, and the promise of up to 2.15 g in lateral acceleration. 2024 Ford Mustang Another sports car in the headlines this week was the redesigned 2024 Ford Mustang. Ford finally released horsepower figures for thr car, and they are up across the board compared to the outgoing model. 2024 BMW i5 Touring spy shots - Photo credit: S. Baldauf/SB-Medien The battery-electric version of the upcoming redesigned BMW 5-Series was out testing this week, and the latest prototype to be spotted was a wagon variant. Expected to be called the i5 Touring, the electric wagon should offer the choice of rear- and all-wheel drive, and a range of more than 300 miles on a charge. 2024 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT spy shots - Photo credit: S. Baldauf/SB-Medien We also spotted a prototype for the redesigned 2024 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT. The new sports car is closely related to the redesigned SL launched for 2022, and as a result won't have a convertible option this time around. Ford Megazilla crate engine And finally, Ford unveiled a new version of its monster 7.3-liter V-8 known to fans as Godzilla. The new version has been nicknamed the Megazilla, and boasts even more power and torque. The Megazilla is set to join the Godzilla in Ford's crate engine portfolio next year.

I currently own a 2006 SL500 with 41k miles on it. The vehicle is very well taken care of and barely looks used. I took the vehicle to the dealership and the valve body needs to be replaced at $2000.00. The bad thing is the part is not even at the dealership - it has to be ordered from Germany. I called the dealership to see if they would be willing to cover the repair even though it is out of warranty and they say call MBUSA. I called MBUSA and I got the response that we need to call the dealership and speak to them. She then proceeded to tell me that I was not a loyal customer and that they may not cover the repair of the vehicle. I said what do you consider a loyal customer, someone who has bought 3 Mercedes Benzes and is a member of the Mercedes Club or is it someone that does not own a Mercedes? The point is Mercedes Benz is not loyal to their customers and treat them rudely when it comes to getting things done. I probably will not buy another Mercedes.

I contacted one of the local dealerships and they were unable/unwilling to assist me in getting a replacement key. Please assist me in getting a replacement key.

I got a brand new Mercedez-Benz 2015 C300. The luxury style with the grill that opens and closes. I got the car December of 2014, making my time with the car a bit over a year. For that whole time, my car has spent more time in the service center than I have with it. It started off with an ants that it was shipped with the car. It took them 2 months to figure it out. The ants would cover me and my 1 year old (at the time) while I was driving. Then the grill would not open, it malfunctioned, and it took them another 2 weeks to fix because they had to order the parts. Then it was the electrical, my car would not open. I would be able to drive to one location and then when trying to open the car using the remote or the door, it would not open, so I would get locked out of my car in the rain with my 2-year-old daughter. They fixed it.Then the car would just stop. It would come to a complete stop and shut off and not turn back on, another fix they said. After that, the engine, apparently for a year, I have been driving around with faulty Pistons. For some reason after all the time my car has spent there, they did not realize that the pistons were faulty, so my car would make a loud whirring noise. At that point I contacted Mercedes-Benz USA for the 4th time and they said they would look into it. Within hours of getting my car back, it had the same problem. More loud whirling and do you know what those amazing lovely people at Mercedes-Benz USA would tell me? We can offer you one months worth of payments for all your troubles.Yet my car is constantly going to need repairs and they are unwilling to either replace the car, terminate the financial agreement or buy me out of the car which I was willing to pay for another one. I just do not feel safe having me or my daughter in the car with so many problems. They do not care about the fact the car is going to need constant repairs because its under warranty. I am angry and disgusted at the treatment I am receiving from this car company.

Mercedes-Benz dealership service in Pembroke Pines is the worse unprofessional people that I ever encountered on my experiences with Mercedes-Benz. From the service manager to the technicians, (if you can call them that way) they simply do not know what are they doing. There is no difference taking your vehicle to this place or a regular shop in 441 in Hollywood fl. In fact, you probably not going to have this bad service at ridiculous prices and you can be treated with most respect and professionalism.

My wife has a 2008 R-Class Mercedes with the BlueTech diesel engine. The BlueTech engine has been a recurring nightmare. The cars engine warning light continues to come on, which often (though not always) signals some big problems with the car.The service guy at CalStar Motors Mercedes in Glendale, CA just told her today (the 5th day the car has been in the shop this time) that they cannot figure out what is the cause of the problem. They have (again) replaced the engine sensor, but said, We can give you no assurance that the problem wont occur again, given that we don’t know what is wrong. We have also taken the car to Rusnak Mercedes Benz in Pasadena and Downtown LA Motors Mercedes Benz. I think I will find a lemon lawyer. Do you have any suggestions? Please email me at **@gmail.com.

They cant tell when exactly my car will be ready. It is very stupid and unprofessional. I send official claim (by email: [email protected]) to Daimler AG in 2014.11.03 and only after 17 days I receive answer, We receive your claim and we come back as soon as possible. Again NOTHING. I am very disappointed on MB ML350 quality and on MB official service.

I placed an order for a Mercedes S class through a leasing company in October, for January delivery. Having placed the order I asked the leasing company for confirmation that the car had been allocated by MB. The leasing company suggested I complain to MB and ask them to confirm allocation. I had both written and MB at that time and they seemed to be responsive to my complaint. I then had a call from a woman from MD in Holland and she confirmed that the car had been issued for production, with delivery in Mid January. I contacted the leasing company who subsequently confirmed that the dealer still had no confirmation of allocation. My attempts subsequently to clarify the situation have been a complete waste of time. MB Europe now consider that it is not a problem they will discuss because I dont have a contract directly with them and now it seems the conversation I had about delivery in January is a figment of my imagination. It never happened. In other words I am either an imbecile or a liar. The attitude I get from MB is its nothing that they will comment on. Just completely abandon any responsibility to meet their obligations and commitments. They have the nerve to challenge what I say when I have it in writing. Anyway, needless to say, Im appalled that they just couldnt give a damn.

Mid November my C-350 would not start. I had it towed to the ONLY authorized repair shop in Dayton OH, Bob Ross Centerville. After several days and repeatedly calling them, I was finally told that my fuel pump went out as well as the wiring had melted and the level switch needed replaced. Oh and by the way this will cost $1850 give or take a penny. 9 days later the repairs were complete. I paid my bill and life appeared to be good again. I was humming along for a whole 9 days and lo and behold a siren like sound emitted from the rear of my vehicle, namely the fuel pump area. This occurred 3 1/2 days ago. I now cannot get a return phone call and I have yet to receive a diagnostic. Is it really asking too much to get an update on my vehicle?! I wish I could contact someone from Mercedes Benz and explain to them that we have another fine choice for our automobile repairs called the Foreign Exchange. But by Bob Ross having a monopoly it is giving Mercedes Benz a horrible name. Please Mercedes address this issue before I choose not to own another one of your cars. Your name has always stood for quality and I am concerned that this repair center does not.

I bought this car in Dec-2016. From day-1, I could hear a screeching sound when applying the brake. When I reported, I was told that it is because its a new car and after few days it would stop. But I observed that this sound was not reducing at all and hence I took the car to the agency. I was told that they did some adjustments and the sound should cease now. I observed the same and one more agency visit did not resolve this issue. I have done annual maintenance/servicing in Dec-2017 & Dec-2018. Both the times I raised this issue but was never resolved. After each servicing, I used to get a Customer Servicing Feedback form where I raised this issue - but again it was ignored and never got any reply. In fact the mail I am forwarding now is a proof of me completing the survey this Dec-2018. Can I request someone in Mercedes-Benz to address my issue. When I decided to buy a Mercedes-Benz (after evaluating against Audi & BMW) I was 100% sure that I will not face any technical issues. But alas, here I am struggling to get some in Mercedes-Benz to address my concern. Can I expect a response?

I leased a 2019 GLA 250 from Mercedes- When I was negotiating the price I was told it was a demo. I said fine to that. I negotiated the price on Thursday October 24th, 2019, for a Friday October 25th, 2019 delivery. I was told the car had 1718 miles on it which was the deciding factor to me for agreeing to say yes and no further details were given to me. I relied on those representations to say yes. The next day October 25th, 2019 at 4pm I arrived at the dealer to take said delivery. The car was parked outside and was prepped. I noticed a few dings on the car. When I walked into the show room, I met the reps and told them my findings on said car. I was told that “this was a loaner and that there was bound to be imperfections”. This was not expressed to me prior. I then sat in the car an noticed the scuff on the dash and the mileage being 4424 as opposed to the mileage being 1718. I was shocked and speechless at that point and expressed my displeasure and the reps were equally shocked at the mileage difference. I hesitated on signing but was rest assured that all will be handled. I expressed to Mercedes of Brooklyn that I would like to have the brake pads changed and the minor scuff removed. I was told that they will look into this. Today is Monday October 28th, 2019 and I am told that they will not remedy the situation at all. Very unhappy!

I buy a GL 450 2013. I was happy until 12,000 miles the car began to vibrate rudder. I went to guarantee and the rotors were damaged and they change. They said the warranty did not cover. Well.. they change!! Now I have 38,000 and again were damaged. It is impossible that every 15000 miles the rotors are damaged, and I have to pay $ 2,000 without the brake pads. The brake sensor light came on in my Mercedes 350 ML. I stopped driving the car and took it in for service. When quoted a price, they said that not only do I need my brakes changed, but I need the rotors changed as well. I asked then what was the purpose of the brake sensor light if by the time it went on, the brakes were so worn that it affected the rotors. The response was that I should have brought the car in for service earlier. I have had numerous problems with this car. The door for the gas tank fell off. The service agent accused me of breaking it off. Why I would do something like this, I am not sure. The rear seat belts continually get stuck, endangering the safety of my children. The console between the two front seat squeaks. The rear view mirror is loose. All minor problems, but something you do not anticipate in a car of this type.

Since I purchased my 2007 E350 sedan, I have spent over $12,000 in maintenance and repairs. Specifically, to name a few of the repairs beyond the usual maintenance, in December 2011, transmission repairs in the amount of $2,219. In December of 2012, my car completely died at midnight at an airport 30 miles from my home. That repair was $3,539 for transmission issues. Mileage: 62,000. In January of 2013, the same problem occurred with car dying. This time they did not charge me since it had been repaired a week earlier. In August of 2013, another $2,354 for transmission issues, including mounts (same thing from Dec 2011). My car has relatively low mileage for a car purchased over 6 1/2 years ago. I have always taken my car to the Mercedes Benz dealer for maintenance as required and have kept up with it. All service records are at Mercedes. I find that these are exorbitant amounts to pay for a luxury car, with low mileage. I expected far more out of Mercedes. I will NEVER buy a Mercedes again.

I bought a 2007 Mercedes CLK on 1/12/2012, a Saturday. I was told by the dealer that I could not take it home because the check engine light was on and they had to fix it before I received the car, a smog issue with California. You cannot sell a car in California without it going through a smog check. Seeing the light was on, it would not pass smog during a visual inspection. I was to receive the car the following Wednesday, 100 miles away, and they were going to deliver the car to me after they had fixed the problem. More than likely, they were waiting for my cashiers check to clear. I have receipts on all of this, stating they will deliver it to me at a later date and when they would deliver it. The day I received the car, the check engine light was still on and they, the dealer, instructed me to go to Mercedes and get the code cleared because they had put an O2 sensor on it. That was the reason why I did not get the car the day of the signing of the papers. Well, I took the car in to remove the code, but there were 5 codes on it, none of which were related to the O2 sensor! Here are just a couple of codes showing: random misfire po300, and po303, misfire no. 3 cyl and there is more relating to the cam. Now Im looking at thousands of dollars to fix this but they, the dealer, covered their butt by having me sign everything from as is to no attorney if I were to sue them. I want to see all receipts made on this car and see if anything was fixed on it as promised, and the name of the smog company that smogged this car. Im going to file a complaint with the Air Resources Board (ARB). I just want everything fixed with the check engine light off.

C300 with 90,000 Km. Would not start - catastrophic failure. Repair bill to $8000 with no end in sight. Weber Motors in Edmonton gouging and was MB Canada doing nothing. I am ready to walk away from this car. I finally threatened to sue and spoke to the manager and the bill is now about $5K. They tried to tell me it was reverse boosted when it has never been boosted at all. Really????? Totally unacceptable. To put in perspective, my previous car was an Infiniti which I kept to 260,000 KM and no problems with it. The one before that was a Volvo which I kept to 268,000 Km with no problems. I take very good care of my vehicles and I did same with the MB to no avail. When I get this car fixed, I am selling it as soon as I can. It will be a cold day in hell before I have another MB.

Is MB serious with the ongoing Takata Airbag recall? I’ve been waiting patiently for over one year for replacement parts. They say... “The defect in your driver frontal airbag inflator on both driver and passenger frontal airbag inflation may cause the airbag to EXPLODE during airbag deployment and could result in metal fragments striking the front occupants, POSSIBLY CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH”. Just received a letter saying parts won’t be in until Sept 2018!!! How is this acceptable. I’m driving a death trap!!! Any suggestion on how I can address this or should I just retain an attorney?

We purchased a 2010 GLK 350 with around 70,000 miles on it. It performed well for several years although the headlights do not light far enough down the road. The driver seat MB-Tex upholstery failed in two places very quickly. $1100 repair. At about 100,000 miles the car would not start. The electronic ignition system had to be replaced for $2000. It had Takata airbags so my wife refused to drive it while we waited a year or so for them to be replaced. While waiting, the passenger door lock stopped working so that the door would not open. $1000 repair. About the time the airbags were replaced during the last year two other messages occurred on the dash. Problem with driver seatbelt connection and problem with the passenger seat sensor. $2400 to repair. We are ready to sell it to avoid more repairs.

I called the head office to make a complaint about the disappointing service and treatment I received from the Brentford Mercedes body-shop. Basically I was not happy with the feedback I received. The reason for this is the original estimate had been completely changed; instead, I felt the body-shop was cutting corners at my expense to satisfy the insurance engineers. I was now getting second rate job done on my car that could also depreciate the value on my four-and-a-half-year-old car. I was involved in an accident, but I was not at fault; however, both I and the other driver both have the same insurers. The only difference is that I recently did not renew with them. I am insured with another firm. My problem with Brentford turned into a complaint. However, when I called their head office in Milton Keynes, I was left reeling because they were on the immediate defense making me out to be a trouble-maker and even tried passing the buck. I was spoken down to at the point that I didnt know if this was for real or a blood joke. There was no customer satisfaction. I felt my complaint was dismissed and no investigation was going to take place. I wish I had never bought from them and never will again. My advice to anyone is if you do buy a Mercedes or smart car, dont expect the excellent service because there isnt such a thing. And if you ever have a complaint, be aware that the head office’s customer service team is like the Mafia. If there is anyone out there who had the same experience, I would love feedback on where to go to get heard.

We were delivered this car in April 2017. After less than 10,000 we have had to replace 2 Tires. After many conversation with the Lawrenceville Dealership in NJ where we were told that indeed the car is too heavy for the tires. No solutions was offered other than for me to pay more money to have the tires changed. Mercedes is aware they are selling a defective product that can potentially be life threatening and they are doing nothing about it. I then e-mailed the corporate offices and was contacted by an agent who tried to work a resolution where we would still pay over 2000 and had to give those tires we paid a premium for, back to them (SCAM)... As a matter of principle and the fact that I can get better tires without them or their HELP... we refused the Great deal!! Nevertheless STAY AWAY... Looks like they dont care if you are stranded in the middle of no-where or if you die as the tires fall apart while you drive or like in my case while the car is parked in the garage!! I bought an ML 6.3 AMG from Mercedes Inchcape with five thousand miles on the clock. They charged me top book price. When driving, I felt the steering was not quite right. I took the vehicle back to the dealership several times and was basically fobbed off. I then paid an independent engineer to inspect the vehicle. His findings were that the vehicle had been in a front end crash. It had had several new panels including wings and front bumper, even the headlight was superglued in. I have stopped the payments on the vehicle and put my complaint to the dealership in November 2011. They eventually sent their manager out in the middle of January 2012. All he did was take photographs of the jeep on his mobile phone! And he eventually sent a letter to my solicitor stating that he could not say the vehicle as not road worthy. This has been explained to him that my complaint is that I was sold a vehicle under false pretenses, as I was not informed of any repair work being carried out prior to me purchasing the vehicle. And if I was, I would not have completed the purchase, as stated I paid top book price ($90K+). I have informed both the dealership and Mercedes Inchcape that I have rescinded the contract with them and I am requesting all monies paid to them be returned to me.

The Mercedes GLC 300 4matic has more luxury features than any other vehicle I researched and test drove. The surround cameras make it easy to park. It has all surround cameras, heated seats, and a comfortable ride that is adjustable to a more sporty mode. I like the seats better than the stiff seats of other makes. The auto hold feature makes it easy to brake and not have to worry about the vehicle moving. The automatic wipers make it easier to drive without having to worry about manually operating them. However, I would like to have air conditioned seats. I would also like for it to have a heated steering wheel since my hands are cold often. Also, Im worried about not having a spare tire even though it has run flat tires. Run flat tires tend to last much less longer than normal tires.

If that is the true, it means my car is a defected car and actually should be replaced. They only give the reasons and stopped at that. Im not satisfied with just an answer from a company that is supposed to be one of the finest in the motor business. My husband bought me a Mercedes because its one of the best, but my trust in my vehicle on the road is ruined and I am scared for the next time the turbo fails, the car lost power and had a lot of smoke coming from the exhaust. Fortunately, I was near the school where Im teaching and could reach my destination. What if my car lets me down on a deserted road and Im alone? I really want somebody to give me more than an excuse and with a practical solution to my problem.

I bought my Mercedes GL450 from Mercedes of Walnut Creek & ever since last year they replaced my battery & cables over $1800. My battery keeps dying every morning & I think is why killed my radio command unit. After 3rd battery replacement, I had it towed. The SUV is sitting with Mercedes of Walnut Creek for last 5 days & no one is returning calls, maybe because they dont know whats wrong with their SUV? & are avoiding me. In the meantime, I have to rent a car to get to work.

I own a 1999 Mercedes-Benz ML320 truck. On 13 Aug 2011, a 20-feet wooden telephone pole was lying on a badly-lit street in the middle of the night. No one knows how it got there. Driving 45 miles per hour, (speed limit is 45 mph) I hit it with the front of my car. Then the pole went under my bumper resulting into a broken steering column and a bent car frame. My air bags, however, did not deploy. When I asked Mercedes why the bags did not open, they said that it only opens when hit in certain spots. In the end, my car was totaled by the insurance company.

I had wonderful service whilst deciding whether to purchase an ML 250 BLUETEC AMG with premium pack model or replace my BMW with another BMW X5. I was contacted almost daily and looked after well with a good offer. I asked if the car had DAB radio (never expecting to be told that NO Mercedes cars come with DAB radio)! All cars have DAB radio, even basic starter cars!!! This was my main complaint all through my purchase, but was told I could connect my iPhone and listen to DAB. I was not overly happy but having liked the car and fancying a change from BMW purchased the car.My disappointment came when first using the car and finding that the equipment provided in the car was not compatible with my iPhone 6! I had to buy a converter!!!! Then, because of this the connection was not good and of course the connectivity keeps failing due to signal fall out!! I have never been so frustrated and nearly crashed the car fiddling with the equipment! I was unaware DAB was an optional extra AT 2,000!!!! Which I have since been told it will cost me. Customer service were not helpful, just telling me it was an option at purchase? I would happily exchange my Mercedes for a BMW given the chance. It has been a 6 weeks since I took delivery of the car and it looks like I will have to pay to have a conversation? Its a joke!!

I was driving down the street winds high lately and I heard a noise my Grand SSD on say thats your car so I ssd slowed down to about 20. I was right by my house. When I got home the Spoiler had flown off. Car only had 36000 miles. Who would think a Mercedes product would fall apart? Then when I reported it they told me they dont stand behind cars that are bought at independent dealers. A 20,000 car bought from a import dealer. SMDH. Beware. They have a history of spoiler detaching but they on did recall on the new ones.

The Good- I brought my first GLE-350 Mercedes in September of 2016. I love the look and thought the Customer Service would match the luxury feel of the car and it did, until it didn’t. I attempted to give a jump start to another driver at the Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak and my beautiful SUV started displaying “Inoperable”. I called Roadside Assistance and Michael from the Bloomfield Hills location came to my rescue, literally. Michael, was great. He diagnosed the issue with my SUV. He stayed with me and explained the issue to the towing companies. His expertise and professionalism was phenomenal. Michael use his expertise to force my car into neutral even though another Mercedes representative stated that it couldn’t be done. My SUV was dropped-off Sunday evening at the Novi location near my home. Michael called me Monday morning to inform me that he explained what was going on with my SUV to the service tech at the Novi location. I called the Bloomfield Hills location to inform the Manager, Steve on how great Michael has been to me. I told Steve that because of Michael’s great customer service skills I wouldn’t mind staying with the Mercedes brand. The Bad & the Ugly-I arrived at the Novi location at 9:00AM to see what was going on with my GLE-350. I was greeted by Serica, so I asked about the status of my SUV. Serica told me she just started at 9:00AM as she checked her computer. Serica stated that it was assigned to a technician and without an appointment I was lucky to get in. Also, that she would call me with any updates. I thought to myself since I’m already here why wouldn’t she ask the technician the status. Two minute after I left, Serica called and told me the parts had to be ordered and that it would take 4 days. I asked Serica for a loaner car.Four days was a long time and I need a car for work. Serica, stated that no cars were available and that I would have had to book a car two weeks in advance. If I would have known two weeks ago that I was going to blow a fuse in my SUV then I would have planned. I called again on Tuesday, and asked for a Manager. I spoke with Johnathan to see if I could get a loaner car for work. I was highly disappointed in the customer service at the Novi location. Johnathan haven’t returned my call from 9:30AM Tuesday morning. On the other, Serica called to tell me that they are hoping to receive the part sooner than 4 days. In the meantime, I have a credit on my account because I paid my SUV bill for the remaining year with no car to drive. I truly expected Mercedes customer service to be best-in-class. I have driven an Acura for years and Acura’s customer service is top-of the-line. I really thought with a slogan like “Drive the best or nothing”’ the customer service would surpass the rest and be the best, boy was I wrong.

Last Sept. 2009, I leased a 3 year 2010 Mercedes ML-350 4matic. The water pump was replaced at the 5k mile mark. Both control arms were replaced at the 10k mile mark. The replacement resulted the off center steering wheel, corrected by miss-alignment with toe in adjustment, resulting in front premature tire wear and loss of correct vehicle handling characteristics. Steering wheel is still off center. The right front lamp marker error message detected at 10k mile mark one year ago is still not repaired. The left front brake wiring harness and sensor malfunctioned at 2 year mark with 18.5k miles. Both rear seat belt harnesses were defective from the factory, only the right one has been repaired.

It will malfunction your automatic rear lift causing it not to work. I took it to the dealer 2 years ago with that issue and now I am taking it back for another water leak due to the 2 rear coverings. My daughter bought a Mercedes Benz four years ago and I co-signed on it. I have never made a payment on it and she has paid every month. Last winter when they were having some financial problems, she was late with a payment. From that point on every month that she is one minute late with her payment, although still in the 15 day grace period, we get harassment calls. They start at 8:00 in the morning and again at dinner time. This month, she made a payment on the 7th and they are still calling every day, twice a day to both of us and it is the 28th. What the hell is the matter with you people? Financial Services lost a payment in May and it took them four months to find it. In the meantime, they are calling every day for that May payment that they already had. I have never seen such Mafia techniques in any company in all my 69 years not to mention a poorly run financial department that cannot keep track of the payments that are made and lose some of them and then start harassing customers for their own mistakes. I would never buy a Mercedes Benz product just based on your financial services harassment tactics. There is no reason for this kind of treatment. I intend to contact every consumer complaint organization I can find and send them a copy of this letter online, offline, by mail, and any other way possible.

Remote starter only works 1/2 the time. It gives you a error and tells you to try later. Called tech support many times. They get it working for a while and does same thing. Also you cannot remote start unless you have a 1/2 tank of gas or more. That is stupid. I always have to fill up to use the remote starter? I could understand if gas light was on. But that is ridiculous. Also run time is only 10 minutes. In new England cold that is not even close enough to warm car up.

I bought my second GLA here in Brazil at a dealership called Itatiaia. When I picked up the vehicle on 21/oct/15, just as I was outside driving by the first block I noticed a noise coming from the front suspension. I drove back to the dealership and informed to the same person that delivered the car to me. He said it was probably a kind of dust that would disappear soon. After some days the noise was still there and I took the car to be service at another dealership EuropaMotors - that is situated just outside my home. I left the vehicle there on 29/oct/15 with 144km and it was appointed that the front left shock absorber was broken. They ordered a new part that took 3 long days to arrive.I bought a new car that came broken from the dealer. It is not a cheap car and Mercedes sold a car that was not even safe to go to the road!! (This part is essential to the security of the driver and passengers). I am very mad. After almost one week they returned me the car with the problem fixes, they said. Yesterday, the same noise appeared again. And now it is even louder!! I cant believe this is a serious company. I complained to the dealership and to the Mercedes Benz in Brazil. Nothing has been done to really solve the problem. I am now entering with an official complaint to the authorities and I hope to hear from Mercedes with a solution. I dont want to buy an expensive car and receive a broken cheap car as they are proposing to me.

My 2006 Mercedes E-Class diesel has 156,000 miles on it; still gets 32-36 MPG on the highway when driving 68-74 MPH. Oil changes have been at 7,500 miles and it barely burns 1 qt. in 7500 miles. Weve had only one problem, and that was with a power window motor just past the 4 year warranty period. The technology is obviously old, but the navigation still works as new. No Bluetooth originally, so we added a portable unit that works OK, but not like the new stuff does. If/when this car ever dies, well look for the last year that MD made a diesel and buy one of those.

My vacuum pump and hydraulic system on the trunk locking mechanism has failed. Cannot open trunk with any of the three methods of design. The Dealer laughed at me and said it would cost me over three thousand dollars to fix everything and that was a guess. No help at all other than they said I had to drill out the key hole with tumblers and try to manually open it that way. So I drilled out the mechanism on a car that cost over 120,000 thousand dollars to get into my trunk. Now the problem is the dealer would not code my key to a used lock and said I had to buy one from them at over 500 dollars and they would key that one to my lock. Then I would still have to pay to fix the vacuum pump and hydraulic pump to use my trunk. Frustrated due to the fact of price gouging and poor design from the engineers to make a trunk that is very difficult to open. I cannot lock my car or trunk because it has a smart key that is extremely difficult to use. I will never buy another Mercedes-Benz car again. I will also encourage everyone I know not to buy one.

I made an appointment for 7:30 to have my 300C Mercedez Benz serviced on 9/20/11. I arrived at 6:30 that morning, being the first car to arrive. They took my car in between 7:15 to 7:30. I spoke with sales representative Mari **, and once we were done, I asked if there was a loner available. She said there wasnt any until two weeks. That was an inconvenience because I needed to get to work. She then arranged for me to be dropped off. While in the waiting area (first one), other customers began to arrive, dropped their cars, and left with loners. When I was finally called to be driven to work, I walked outside and there was a loner. It doesnt end there. I was told that I would be picked up. At no time during the day, Mari gave me a courtesy call in regards to the status of my car. At the end of my work day, which ends at three oclock, I wasnt picked up or contacted. At which time, I had to take a taxi to the dealer in Larchmont, NY that cost me 50$. Upon my arrival at 4 p.m., Mari says to me, Oh, your back. I stated, Yes, you told me I was going to be picked up. Why wasnt I contacted? After that being said, she stated that the car was not serviced as yet and that they were backed up. The waiting area was completely empty .No Customers. At this time, Ii was livid and none could give me any answers. Mari kept apologizing, then she said to me, Let me check at the back to see whats going on. She returned a few minutes later and said that they are getting started right now. I immediately told her to have my car brought around and that I will take it to White Plains Dealership. I was totally displeased with the service and disappointed with the way I was treated. I feel that Larchmont Mercedes Benz dealers are racist. I was the only Black female getting my car serviced at the time and the only one that was wrongfully treated. This was the worst experience in my life.

I have replaced 3 tires on my C350 in the past 2 years or so. A blow out at 100km/hr on the highway and 2 tires that have bulges on the inside of the tire that needed to be replaced. I am told by a local tire specialist Fountain tire that I need to replace both tires on the rear and having spend a small fortune I am not prepared to do that. I was advised with low profile tires and the winters in Alberta that this is something I need to get used to and keep paying for replacement every couple of years. These are continental tires and I am considering changing brand and height profile of the tire... Pretty choke with being sold a 4matic that I love to drive but finding out the tires sold are not the right ones for our climate..

I am a small business owner. I operate a small cartage company that deliver
I am a small business owner. I operate a small cartage company that deliver specific products for specific clientele on a weekly basis in the Greater Toronto Area. I bought the business with a different truck from a gentleman I knew who learned he was terminally ill about 5 years ago. That truck gave me all kinds of problems, so earlier this year I decided that maybe it was time to go with something new; I decided to lease a Mercedes Sprinter (I feel that this is all relevant information, please bear with me). Now initially when I leased the Sprinter, I made an error in calculation and leased one that was inadequate to meet my payload needs (2500 with extended wheelbase). The monthly payment on this one was about $900, including HST. Admittedly, that one was entirely my mistake. After about 4 months, I went back to my dealership and traded in Sprinter #1 and upgraded the model of vehicle to a 3500 Dually with an extended wheelbase. In addition to the cost of the lease, an additional $6200 for the lease shortfall was tacked on to the lease value which had a drastic effect on my monthly lease payments (which are a handsome sum of $1109.90/month). This shortfall would offset the reduction in value since I drove the vehicle off the lot. Unfortunately, it was not long after this that I discovered a very real threat to my business which might force me to shut down operations, which also happened to coincide with a new promotion that Mercedes began specifically for Sprinters. I contacted my dealership to explain the situation, but with little result. All that was said to me was to contact Mercedes Benz Financial Services to see what the options are, which are very limited. Essentially, the options are as follows;a) I could voluntarily surrender the vehicle at which time Mercedes would then send it to auction where they would try to recover the highest value, leaving me responsible to cover the balance plus the tax. This option would have a very detrimental effect on my credit rating as it would not distinguish that it was a voluntary repossession, only repossession; b) Find a candidate to take over the lease (the truck has been on leasebusters.com since August 2012. See leasebusters ad ID # 132995 if youre interested); c) Either myself or someone else could buy the vehicle outright. Now, Im not asking for special treatment and I understand that I signed the paperwork making me responsible, but let me share a couple of other things that have happened in the interim. I have had two serious inquiries about the truck since it has been on leasebusters.com. The first was a pair of gentlemen who had just started a cartage business and were going to take over my business with the truck who had contacted the individual at my dealership (whose name I will not mention) who sent them the necessary forms. Now part of the issue was that because they were a newer company and lacked any sort of financial history, they were asked to provide personal guarantees on the vehicle. Fair enough, though it is important to keep in mind that my business was enough to get me the truck, so why not them? I mean they were intending to take over my business, after all (in case youre wondering, the threat to my business is not a sudden loss of business but something I dont wish to disclose). Now the second gentleman contacted me from Montreal where he is the president of a large, international multi-modal transportation company and we had actually agreed upon incentive fees and a pick-up date. When I contacted the same individual at the dealership, she once again sent the same applications to the individual for him to fill out. Upon realizing that he was being asked for personal information, he basically ceased all communication with me and effectively killed the deal, less than a week before it was scheduled to occur. I later learned that he was reluctant to personally guarantee the vehicle, especially when it was his company that would be taking over the lease, and not him personally. Needless to say, I was very frustrated at this point. I contacted Mercedes to find out why both business and personal financials were needed and wasnt given any explanation except that it was often the case in these circumstances. Since then, I have been trying to contact Mercedes Benz Financial to come up with alternative potential solutions, such as offering to pay an additional lump sum to bring down the monthly payments, in order to make it more attractive to a potential lease take-over candidate but to no avail. When I suggested this I was told that there would be no point in paying extra, as it would not affect my payments but rather reduce the amount of money owed on the back end of the lease. My business is closing at the end of January and as of right now, it seems as though I will have to continue making payments on the Sprinter until either someone takes it over or I take it back for repossession. If I take it back for repossession, I will have a long-lasting scar on my otherwise impeccable credit. I have done everything I can think of and Mercedes Benz is completely unwilling to assist me in any way. Mercedes Benz has put me on a collision course with bankruptcy. On numerous occasions, when dealing with someone from either the dealership or MBFS, I have been met with what can only be described as indifference. I feel as though I will be left with no other choice but to file for bankruptcy and start all over even though I have tried everything to pursue other avenues and solutions.

My brand new 2016 Mercedes was damaged during delivery on 4/16/2016. They are clueless on why they couldnt ship the headlight part and have no idea when the parts will be available. CAC couldnt answer how they provided us multiple delivery dates, but never able ship the part. Is the parts department just lying to us on the delivery dates? They couldnt answer that either. I own a Mercedes Benz SL 500 (TRS680 GP). Earlier this year, the car went into your workshops ten (10) times before they were able to repair the distronic sensor. At 30,000 km, the car went for a service. Within 50 km after the service, the suspension collapsed and there was a complete failure of the brakes. Fortunately I was able to avoid an accident. The car was towed in to Mercedes-Benz Sandton (corner Rivonia & South) on Monday July 18, 2011. This morning (July 29, 2011), I went and enquired what was happening and I was told the parts for the suspension were due on the 4th of August.Only after the suspension was repaired could they establish why there was a total brake failure. If more parts are required, then I guess there will be a further 3- 4 weeks of wait without my car.The customer service center will not return my calls. (Lance)In summary, straight after the car was serviced, a serious safety problem arose – namely, the suspension and total brake failure occurred. Previous experience showed that repairs, namely the distronic, are not reliable and excessively slow. Please explain to me why I should not notify the relevant authorities on the apparent inability of your group to maintain vehicles in a safe and roadworthy condition.Your reply without delay would be appreciated.

I went to the Rocklin, CA Mercedes Benz dealership to get a recall fixed on my car. I had a leak in the same place with that of the recall was in, so I thought it was that. We talked to a man named Wayne, and he helped us the whole time we were there. He said it would take an hour or a little longer, so we walked our three kids over to the park. By time we got back to the dealer, it was about 4:45-5:00. The man Wayne said he would check to see if our car was ready, then he pulled it up, leaving it running. We loaded the kids up, but my oldest was in the bathroom. So I went to get her. When I got back in the car, it was no longer running and would not start at all. We tried a couple times, and then, we got the man who had been helping us and told him what was going on. He came over and tried to start it, then he popped the hood. He started messing with the battery and said he thought we needed a new one. He said he was going to have someone come jump us. Well, that did not work at all, and as the tech was helping us, he noticed our seats felt real wet. The floors were wet too. Real wet. Still, I did not think anything of it. A few minutes went by, and another man came out, a tech one who works on cars. At that moment, they said that when they washed it, the sun roof was open a little and water got in our electrical gear and messed some electrical stuff up. So what I want to know is why did they not say that in the first place. They had to have a known cause. There had to have been water all over, when they opened the door. They had to dry it all up. They did not say anything to us and were going to let us leave. How did they know that fast what was wrong. They knew it had all got wet. I did not even know they were going to wash the car. I got my car back the next day (today). They came to my work and traded me cars, and it stinks so bad like mildew. I got a few opinions and have been told that it could never be the same. I dont know how extensive the damages are and what they fixed. They tried to get me off the lot as fast as possible, so it would not be their problem. But I know that I had my three kids and could have had my car just stop somewhere, and we could have gotten hurt. Now, I have a stinky car that I am still paying for, and I dont know if they fixed the whole problem.

The car computer show Service B. I was asked to pay $695 plus tax. Within that service, there are several points checked, oil + filter and an air filter inside. If there are problems, I have to pay for extra parts and labor. The car is on warranty! I have never heard about any car on warranty to pay extra, until the car was damaged in an accident. The installed GPS within the Navigation System, has extremely old map data and to update, I was asked to pay $ 395+ tax. The GPS has very serious errors. 1. While driving on last left lane Hwy 427 North, close to 409, I was advised to turn left! 2. While driving already on Lakeshore Blvd, East of Browns Line, was asked to turn left to get to Lakeshore! I do believe, that brand new car has to have the newest, actual map data and while the errors are serious, the update should be free of charge, like with any mechanical parts on warranty. The GPS is not even close to GARMIN, where the functions are very logical and easy to use and mine model under $200 had lifetime update plus touch screen.

Faulty balance shaft - I purchased a new 2006 350E Mercedes in 2005. On my first trip out of town, the check engine light came on. Called MB, said it was gas cap. Light comes on but goes off. Had checked several e shaft problem. The total cost ranges from $6,000 to $8,000. After researching this problem, it appears the MB has known about this problem for several years. What are they going to do?

It is a shame. I was disappointed by the big house, Mercedes. I bought a Mercedes C180 from Mercedes Paris Longchamp for export on January 21, 2013. After a few km., it showed topping liquid refroid.cf. manuals. I contacted the seller and he told me, Sorry, we did all the diagnostics and forgot to add water. Weve added it and you will be okay. I thought of his words because he works for the big house, Mercedes. I made my way to Marseilles to take my boat, but even after 40 km. the message still appeared. I continued on my way by adding water at each stop, with stress and panic. When I arrived in Tunisia, I went straight to the house nearest Mercedes, Av Grand Maghreb Nabeul 8000. They informed me that the problem was with a seal, but whats worse was when he told me that this is a defect with the Mercedes C180 and they did not have the seal in Tunisia. I contacted the seller and sent the attached reference but he sent me another one with another reference. This is not normal at all from a big house and your staff. Im disappointed with everything around me and my family because the car is in the garage. I worked hard to have a nice car and go home, but Mercedes deceived me and betrayed me. Why? I did not want to buy elsewhere to be sure of the quality and the seller told me that the car is almost new. Sorry, but I do not have confidence in your company as my car is in the garage and I cannot use it. Every day, I am forced to use public transportation. I regret having chosen the Mercedes. I know that 20,000 Euros (the price of my car) is worth nothing to you, but for me, it was all of my money. I spent one year in an unstable country - away from my family - to have it, and I did not want to buy a new car from another brand because we were fans of the Mercedes. I did not want to buy from an unknown dealer. I chose the house because I trusted in this house and its staff. Now, I hate it, and I will tell my case to all people with Facebook, Twitter, and the web because I wrote a lot of messages to Mercedes but they dont care about us.

Ive owned 5 Mercedes over my car buying experience and I can tell you I will never buy another one. I have a ML 350 BlueTEC (diesel) that has known problems with the vehicle. I just found out on the oil leaking near the rear main seal. I called Mercedes to ask why in the world would a car with 57k miles have a problem like this when Mercedes brags about how great an engineered car they make. I have spent over a week on the problem the dealer fixed the supposed problem to break another problem. Now they want me to pay for what they broke. CROOKS WOULD BE THE WORD I WOULD USE. Ive had several Lexus and no problems. Mercedes does not stand by their name and overcharges for everything. The customer service people just lie to you, point blank. DONT BUY A MERCEDES, BUY A LEXUS. CROOK, CROOKS, AND CROOKS.

The worst vehicle I have ever owned and the worst service. When you buy a vehicle 2016 with less than 1200 miles on it and they tell you the van should get between 30-40 miles per gal and you get 18.4 and the lights keep on going on and off, and the tires had to be replaced with less than 9,000 miles on it, and the doors and windows stick, and you go in to have the check lights corrected and ten miles down the road they are back on, when the fuel gauge is not accurate, and and and...I could write a book about this piece of overpriced garbage. I now suffer from Ford envy as I drive all over the country and I do not feel safe in this vehicle as lights are going on and off all the time including check engine lights. Ive had more problems with this vehicle and spent more money in the few months Ive had the Metris than I have ever on a vehicle, and I usually get between 250,000 and 325,000 miles on a vehicle. The salesman left the dealership right after I bought the van and the service dept. instead of fixing the warning light they filled the fluid levels! Ive already talked two friends into not buying a Mercedes! The salesman told me they only allowed 100.00 for my van which had 4 brand new tires and battery as they could only scrap it. I would have taken it back and given it to public radio but he said they had already sent it off! Should I go on? When I had the tires replaced because they said they were not safe I took the tires and they look fine to just about everyone who has looked at them. I had to have air put into the tires two days after I purchased it as the light for air pressure was on. I am a professional and because I am a woman I pay attention to vehicles and everything that affects me and my business. I am now going to see if I can get any money for this piece of junk and buy another van, Hopefully this will be from a decent company and will not have chocolate on the seats when I get it. Never buy a Mercedes or deal with their salesmen or service dept. Anyone want to buy this cargo van? Oh they told me that the Metris is a cargo van but you shouldnt put any weight in it!

This car has had 2 (two) safety related issues in less than 3,000 miles of ownership. Mercedes-Benz is fully aware of these issues but is not fixing the problems. Both Mercedes-Benz and their dealerships do not understand the importance of tracking software on cars and fixing it to avoid problems. Our emergency braking system was shut down by the computer due to software problems. MB should have been able to proactively update the software in order to avoid this problem just based upon the VIN number and production dates. I am waiting for the 3rd safety issue so I can return this car to them under the Lemon Law. Dealerships should be staffed by people who are technically savvy as well as mechanics. Mercedes-Benz is delivering a substandard product due to lack of responsible practices after the product leaves the factory. Do not purchase or lease a GLA250 or believe the reporting on the internet that the 2016 models had safety issues address by the company. Its simply not true.

At 2AM after being off for nearly 10 hours, the passenger seat of my 2007 GL450 caught on fire in my garage, nearly catching the house on fire and killing my dogs who were in the garage with the car. I reported this to Mercedes (MBUSA) and asked that they inspect the car because this was clearly a defect. The internet is littered with stories/complaints of GL450 seats catching on fire (Google GL450 fire). They said they would inspect it. After much prying, they never did an inspection. A friend with a GL450 called Mercedes to ask about these events that are on the internet that I had forwarded to her. They told her that no one had ever submitted a formal complaint on this, that they had never heard of that and she should not worry. This companys disregard for the lives of the people that buy their vehicles is appalling. You buy these cars because you think they are safe, yet when the company has been contacted on numerous occasions about a defect that has the potential to kill people, the company does nothing to fix the problem and lies to customers saying they have never heard of a GL450 catching on fire. Its as if they dont think we can search for things on the internet. I will never trust Mercedes again. I cannot believe they knowingly leave these cars on the road with seat heater defects that are literally like bombs going off when the car is unattended in a garage. This company has no respect for human life.

I was informed by the sales guy, and it is also mentioned on Mercedes Egypt website, that this package includes GPS navigation system. This was the main reason for me to order this package. I was shocked upon receiving the car to find out that Egypt map is not available on this system. Accordingly, the GPS is not functional! So, they just cost me extra $2500 without getting any benefits.

I had a very bad experience with customer service assistant and Manager Steven. I visited the Plano Dealer for my first maintenance service. The lady assistant in the service line was not very friendly. I already mentioned I made an appointment. She didnt seem to care about what I said and asked me to call on the phone with her hands very rudely. I wasnt even feeling that bad, then I faced the adviser Mr. **. I was trying to mention a few questions about the auto control system. He didnt listen and was doing just his paperwork and ask me whats that? I had to have more this kind of conversation to get the information for the maintain service. Because this was the first time with Mercedes, the adviser did not listen to me, so I had to hear whats that? several times and spoke again. I became totally uncomfortable with the adviser. He did not even explain I had to have a loan car. When I went to pick up my car, one of my main concern, the noise, was not fixed. So I tried to explain the noise to the adviser and another guy, who was manager Steven. I didnt realize because he was standing in front of me without introduction. While I was explaining about the problem, they were talking to each other instead of listening to me. I felt I was ignored again. Finally, I asked for a manager, then the guy said, I am the manager. I was complaining how you people are rude, then he said that I was rude with stuck up face. I have been very happy with my car and the sales department people treats me with respect. On the other hand, service department people showed me very poor service and did not respect the customer at all. Even they charge the most expensive cost.

Power steering is leaking on our 2008 ml350 with only 54000 miles. You would assume that power steering in a Mercedes will last longer than that. No parts available, have to buy a whole new steering wheel column $3500. Had to replace the lift gate motor at a cost of $2000. The power steering rack developed a leak causing the oil pressure to the unit to fail resulting in loss of power steering function. This vehicle does not have a warning system to alert the driver of this type of failure. A previous safety recall was issued January 2009 (safety recall #2008-120011) for 2008 ML 320s for a defect such as this. However, this particular vehicle was not part of that recall. We feel this part should last the life of the vehicle without failure.

My ML 350 which is still under factory warranty had some surface peeling off exterior door trim and buttons on the steering wheel. The trim issue is esthetic only but the wheel button surface peeling actually affects the same operation of the car because the buttons which control important car functions are not useable. The two dealers I went to for service were the Palm Beach and North Palm Beach dealers and both were well aware of the problem from other customers and both told me it was my tough luck as the defects were not covered by the warranty. One said it was from driving and parking in the Florida summer sun but as I unsuccessfully explained I spend summers in Colorado and garage the vehicle un-driven in summer. In November of 2018 I purchased a 2016 Mercedes Sprinter 3500 from Mercedes Music City in Nashville, Tenn. It had 20,000 miles and several months left on the 3 year bumper to bumper warranty. I live in Gainesville, Ga so flew there and drove it home. After driving it for 700 miles the check engine light came on and took it to RBM Mercedes of Roswell, GA. They found a few particles of something that was never identified residue in the fuel tank. I also found out the prior owner had check engine light issues also. RBM and Mercedes corporate determined it must be something I put in there and it contaminated the whole fuel system and now it needed $15,000 worth of repairs (whole fuel system needed replacement). I had driven it 700 miles and put 2 tanks of fuel in it. They refused to fix it. I did a lot of research on the internet. They charged me over $1,000 for cleaning out the tank and fuel lines and I left. I took it to an independent Diesel mechanic who tested the injector pump and said it wasnt putting out enough pressure. He replace it and the lift pump in the tank. Cost for repair was $2700. Pump was a warranty item. There was nothing in the old pump. It was just defective. Dealer and Mercedes misdiagnosed the problem and will not pay the repair. They insist they were right. The woman I spoke to at Mercedes was arrogant and didnt give a crap what I had to say or what I could prove. If you’re thinking of buying a Mercedes- dont. Buy a different Vehicle. This will be my last Mercedes.

My 2002 Mercedes E-320 (purchased brand new) has had many electrical problems and it only has 110,000 miles. I stopped taking it back to the dealer (RBM) a couple of years ago because their service charges were absorbent, I didnt feel they valued me as a customer, and there was always multiple additional problems that they would claim they found wrong, costing at least a couple thousand dollars each time I went in for service. A couple of years ago the cluster failed. The locks would not work, the gas tank it would not automatically shut off, the speedometer would not work, the car was sluggish, etc. The cluster was replaced. The rear right light cluster has been replaced three times. Last October 2014, while driving, the radio abruptly stopped working, the doors would not lock, and the trunk would not lock automatically; I had to manually lock and unlock the doors and trunk with the key. According to the mechanic, a couple of fuses needed to be replaced. He disconnected the wiring for the radio to work until the fuses were replaced, but the doors would not lock and the trunk could not be unlocked. He replaced the fuses and everything was fine until the week of Thanksgiving. Any time I started the car, the trunk automatically popped open and could not be reclosed. We finagled the lock closure on the open trunk with another metal object to lock the trunk while it was open. We then pushed the button to unlock the trunk and it was able to be closed and remained closed until we stopped and restarted it again. This problem persisted about three days and then abruptly stopped. A couple of weeks ago the problem started again. I took the car to the repair shop and the mechanic said he did not know what was going on. He said he reset everything and the problem went away. However, a week later (today) the problem returned. I have to keep a small pair of scissors in the car to maneuver the inside trunk latch to lock the trunk while it is open and then push in the outside trunk button to unlock it and it is then able to close. However, each time I stop at a destination and restart the car, the trunk pops open and will not reclose unless I get out, while the car is still running and go through the maneuvering routine. I called the mechanic and he said he is not sure what is going on; I would have to bring the car in again. If bad fuses caused the issues in October, could there still be a bad fuse or could it be something that he did not reconnect?

We purchased a new GLS 550 SUV in 2017 to replace our 2004 Toyota Sequoia with over 200,000 miles. The Mercedes has been a disappointment from day 1. Terrible handling in rain and snow. The ride is stiff and uncomfortable. Expect to pay over $2,000 for tires every 20,000 miles. Simple oil change and service will set you back several hundred. We could never get the radio/nav to consistently work in spite of numerous trips to dealership. The best part is we leased this vehicle in 2017 and the lease expires soon. We are under our mileage since we continue to use the old Toyota Sequoia as it is more comfortable. We actually plan on paying the remaining 2 months on the lease and returning vehicle early since it only takes up space in the garage. Our next purchase will be another Toyota.

Do not buy Certified Pre-owned Mercedes Benz. They do not have the same war
Do not buy Certified Pre-owned Mercedes Benz. They do not have the same warranty as a new car. Although we paid 60K for our GL 350 including extending warranty, and performed all the expensive services at the Mercedes Benz dealership after 2 years the car was diagnosed with heavy sludge on engine and needed an “engine replacement” which was originally denied by Mercedes Benz US indicating that a new engine will not be covered under the warranty because the Vehicle Mastery Inquiry (VMI) did not show any services prior the date we purchased the car. It was shocking for us to realize that the Mercedes Benz dealership in Miami sold us a CPO Mercedes-Benz with no history of service. The engine was finally replaced but only lasted ONE DAY. Apparently the engine came with issues and a SECOND engine was approved and reordered. All this time they were referring as “NEW PART” or “NEW ENGINE”. I called US Corporate to find out what kind of the engine they were putting in the car because it was hard to believe that a new part has passed all inspections and quality controls but failed after installation. Then, the representative told me that both engines approved to be installed were REFURBISHED or USED engines. Our car was in the dealership for a total of 86 days while waiting for approval to be repaired. I lost confidence on the safety of this car, as it was no longer a reliable source of transportation for my daughter. We ended up trading the GL 350 for a new Chevrolet Tahoe.

Good afternoon. I am a Mercedes C300 owner and recently I have had some problems with my car not starting...I took it to the RBM Mercedes in Alpharetta, Georgia for diagnostic review. The diagnostic presented with a problem within the steering column which caused the vehicle to not respond. I in turn looked up info on this problem and have noticed this to be an ongoing and unaddressed issue with the make and model years 2008-2009.My question to you, upon communicating my concerns to the service center who currently has my car for repair, is, what are you doing to rectify this problem and since it is an ongoing concern why has a recall not been done on this or why are customers being charged upwards of 1500.00 USD to have these repairs completed. I for one know the cost of repairs for a car in this category of cars, but I do not feel it appropriate that because an issue within the manufacturing of this vehicle is a cause for repair should I have to pay to have an identified manufactured deficiency repaired. I am very disappointed that this has occurred a number of times and nothing has been done to rectify the expenses incurred in this matter.

We had our car serviced here and when we got it back it CAUGHT ON FIRE and so it begins. Trust me... Its worth the read. :) Heres the situation: A couple of days before Xmas, our car shut off in a parking lot and wouldnt turn on even after roadside assistance came and we hooked up a new battery. We had it towed to Autohaus on Edens, Northbrook Il based on a recommendation and because it is a Mercedes dealer and we wanted trustworthy service. They did a diagnostic and had a hard time figuring out the issue.Tom ** was very communicative and explained they were checking the battery and all the electronic systems etc but it was taking some time. Finally, we go word that they had identified that it was the EIS system. They replaced that system, completed the installation and they did a multipoint inspection to identify potential issues as well as confirm that the battery, cables, mountings etc. were inspected and were AOK. This took 10 days.We got the car back. It CAUGHT ON FIRE while were were driving. The fire was where the battery is located underneath the passenger seat with flames and smoke billowing up. There was no indication anywhere on the dashboard that there was a problem. Thank god We were not on a highway and that one of my kids or spouse werent sitting there when this happened or we could have been killed or badly burned. Luckily it was snowing a boatload and we got the fire out by shoving snow on it and when the smoke cleared, we noticed the red safety plate that typically covers the positive connection had been removed and was sitting placed in the back of the passenger seat. We took pics, contacted our insurance who told us to contact the dealer and let them know once we had a cause. We contacted Tom ** at Autohaus on the Edens and explained the situation. He advised us to have it towed back there so they could do an investigation. We had the car towed up there and he called a couple of days later and stated that they needed us to authorize $500.00 to pay for a further diagnostic because they had to pull up the seat to determine the cause of the fire. He believed it was an issue with something shorting out the battery but needed confirm. We agreed to the diagnostic. He commented that they never touched the battery the first time we brought it in. We reminded him (we have his voicemail) that when we brought the car there the first time, he let us know they couldnt figure out the problem as they had tested the battery and it was working fine. They also completed installation of the battery (he confirmed) and finally they provided us with a multiple point written inspection report where they specifically stated that they inspected the battery, cables, mountings etc. and all are AOK. We again brought up the missing red safety cap that should have been covering the positive wires and he stated that doesnt matter and isnt the issue. We asked if the exposed wires that should have been covered by the cap could have caused the fire if they sparked and he said he wasnt sure but would know more once they did a full investigation. We waited and then received a report where no diagnostic was included but rather they just supplied the cost of the damage and repairs for $4600.00. Included in this report was a new multipoint inspection where they stated that they inspected the battery, wires, mountings and cables and all were AOK. Except that the battery had melted as had the connecting wires and cables. WHAT? Hmmmm. He followed up with a phone call and stated that they thought the battery was faulty and we should go after the battery company. We asked why that wasnt listed as a diagnostic he said he couldnt legally state that but we actually paid 500.00 to figure out the cause and we would need that to go back to the battery company. We also asked bout that multipoint inspection stating all was ok with the battery, cables, mountings etc. When, in fact, they had been in a fire and all was melted/seriously damaged. What we learned from Tom ** is that these inspections are a courtesy and they may or may not actually do them! What?I brought my car to Mercedes because I trust they do what they said they did. I trust their recommendations. It turns out that they dont actually do the inspection. These two reports confirm this fact. Which brings me back to the first time around. If they had actually done the inspection, wouldnt they have either picked up on a loose wire and/or the missing plate? Seems reasonable. Note to self: They do NOT do the inspection, just say they do.We asked him to document the faulty battery and then we got another report where the multipoint inspection reflects that the battery, cables, mounting etc. are NOT AOK and also NOT documenting a faulty battery as the cause but instead identifying some loose wires by the positive battery cable (that would have been covered had the cap been on or picked up if they actually did the inspection) added 250$ to the bill and sent it over. 4900.00 and no cause or accountability. At this point in the conversation, we contacted the head of service Jim ** who had Tom call us back because he was too busy. You can imagine our frustration! The worst part is Tom was very polite and kept saying we want you to have a great experience and be happy. Not possible at this point. We brought our car here in December and spent 1800.00. Got it back and then it CAUGHT ON FIRE while we were driving! We bring it back again and get a huge runaround with no clear cause, conflicting reports, phone calls that conflict what was written and all the while they have our car as a hostage! Finally after 2 weeks without a car Jim ** agrees to talk to us. He does not appear to have an understanding of the details to date and the gist is he asks: What do you want? Do you want me to pay for this? Cause that isnt gonna happen. Call your insurance and have an adjuster come out. We dont want to push a claim on them but thats why you have insurance. Once we figure it out we can get you loaner and I can cover your deductible.Progress! I contact my insurance to explain that we are at an impasse and give them the details. They agree that this sounds very suspect and they get involved (thank God) but due to Covid it will take them a few days to get out there. I call Jim back with the update and he says great but no deal on the loaner. There is a catch. I can get a loaner once insurance agrees that they will pay for it...interesting.... The next day, Tom ** calls to reinforce that we will NOT get a loaner until insurance agrees to pay. He ends the convo with we want you to have a great experience. Seriously? (Note: if you have a Mercedes, get rental insurance with your car insurance!)Finally insurance and Autohaus strike a deal that is less than what they charged us initially at $4200.00 and Tom calls to state that it will take them another 7-10 days but we can have a loaner as long as we bring it back every 3 days... no exceptions. What?! Has anyone ever gotten a loaner for longer than 3 days from Autohaus on Edens? I know I have from Mercedes downtown. We live 40 minutes away; we have 4 kids; We have been without our car for 2.5 weeks (due to what appears to be negligence). We never got a loaner the first time either....oh and we had our car serviced there and then IT CAUGHT ON FIRE which is why we need a loaner! This was the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!When we go to pick up the car, there is yet another report differing from the first 4 and they have added charges for additional parts but dont know what the parts are. Literally a change for parts unidentified. They told us to pay the difference and that they had contacted our insurance who would reimburse us except...wait for it...not accurate. And regarding those outstanding charges that we paid for? They will get back to us on what they were for. Still waiting. What about MERCEDES USA you may ask yourself? Well we also involved Mercedes USA and spoke with Susan, Executive Referral Manager at HQ in Georgia and she is supposedly investigating to see if there was a car malfunction but dealerships are basically franchises and they have no involvement AT ALL! What? They said this type of situation has nothing to do with them. Also she indicated that if we got the car fixed, they may not be able to investigate which is ridiculous. You would think Mercedes USA would want to inspect what happened when a Mercedes Benz catches fire at the battery under the passenger seat while being driven and there is no indication other than the flames and smoke engulfing the car that there is an issue? And that this occurred immediately after having it serviced at a Mercedes Benz Dealership. I guess not. It is so far down their list that after we submitted the photos and took the time to fill out all the information she has not responded in any way. Thankfully no one was hurt or killed or this would be a very different conversation. How did it end? We got our car back and we got the battery back as well. We are waiting to hear whats next from Mercedes. It was too big of a deal to not leave you with the details so there you have it! Dont go to Autohaus on Edens and if you do: know that the multipoint inspection isnt real. To be quite frank do yourself a favor and dont buy MERCEDES. If you want a German car...I would say look to buy and Audi or a BMW.

The Mercedes GLA is a great purchase. I have researched this make from child like time frame. I have lived and stayed updated on this make since I was 8 yrs old. This has been a childhood dream or bucket list now. The model is a little unfamiliar but its high in demand. I adore the sound system, sunroof access, capacity holding and the drive on the road. It runs well, and great on speed and brakes. On the other hand, the brakes could improve a bit and all models should be snow ready not just AMG style. I wish the colors were a tad more to choose from exterior and interior.

I have complained to the West Chester Ohio dealership regarding the Parking Brake not releasing after putting the car in gear. I pull the park release and it has no effect on the brake. The only way I can get the car to move is to apply the gas, until it releases with a loud noise. This cannot be safe, but I was told that this has been happened with some of their other customers. I called and filed a complaint with MB USA and was told they will forward it to their recall department. I was curious how many other customer are experts this issue.

The reviews on MB were great so I purchased my E350 in good condition in 2011 and thought I was home free. Less did I know I was in for big problems to come? I have been in 3 potholes and each time there is a problem. In all the 3 occasions the tires were total and I have to get new ones to replace. Also out of the 3 incidents 2 rims had to be replaced. The rims were damaged so badly that it seemed they were in serious accidents. I cannot bring myself to believe that Mercedes Benz wheels quality are so cheap that any small hole could damage the tires plus the rims. The recent incident cost me a total of $1700 for a tire and a rim. This is the second time I am shelling out this amount of money. This is disturbing. I am now not even confident driving my E350. Constantly looking out for holes on the street to avoid and this is dangerous considering other cars on the road. Avoiding potholes may rather lead to a crash with another car. In all my cars that I have owned since obtaining my drivers license (25 years ago) I have never had a rim damaged with potholes but under 1.5 years I have had 2 rims damaged on a supposedly durable car. I am thinking a more safer and ordinary make car and park the E350 somewhere. I feel very unsafe now driving the E350 and moreover I dont have $1700 to shell out all the time. I am surprised there are no recalls on the wheels. The wheels require a more durable material.

The seat covering pealed (2009 C350) after 3.5 years for a garaged car. Since it has 52,000 miles, MB would not warrant replacement. It was a factory defect not a usage issue. I bought a luxury car and the interior doesnt hold up. Very disappointed in my first and last MB.

Nightmare experience. Was so excited to get my GLA 2015 4 years ago. I had been warned about repair costs but it is outrageous! I was driving on the highway, the car stopped accelerating and smoke went out of the back. The check engine light never came on. I was informed that it needs a new turbo and a water pump, $4700, and there “might” be engine damage. Both have been replaced and the check engine light is now on and the car has been in the shop for two weeks. The mechanic does not seem to know what’s going on or when I will get my car back. I will be getting this disaster of a junk box off my hands ASAP... Total money pit.

I bought a certified Mercedes E350 at a Mercedes dealership in NJ in 2016.
I bought a certified Mercedes E350 at a Mercedes dealership in NJ in 2016. This vehicle was bought at night. I was given the vehicle to take home and since it was certified with a full warranty, I felt confident that the vehicle was in great condition with no issues. After all, the certified warranty has requirements the vehicle must meet before it can be certified. My vehicle must have been the exception. There was a long list of issues which made it apparent that this vehicle shouldnt have been certified. I was lied to about the vehicle being in an accident, bad brakes, squeaky steering, broken remote, deep 18 inch long gouges in the windshield and rear glass, many other things and, the focus of this story, the TeleAid was intermittently inoperable. Some of these issues were fixed by me having to get them to pick up the car and take it the car back to the dealership for repair. Some issues were created by them driving it. Once I received my car back with bent wheels which were the result of potholes near the dealership. The dealer brought it back anyway, I had to get them to come get it so they could fix the wheels. They fixed the wheels, but 6 months later, the finish of the wheels was faulty. They blamed it on me saying the other side of the car were the wheels they had fixed and the other wheels had to be something I did. My car but they know more than me about it. Even now, 5 years after purchase, it still has issues that the dealer never fixed. One issue is the TeleAid system is inoperable much of the time as I mentioned above. This is the system that costs $600 per year for the subscription and does basically the same thing as OnStar but for twice the cost. I brought this in to the Mercedes dealer where I purchased it numerous times while still under the certified warranty for the TeleAid to be repaired. Every time I was told they couldnt find the issue. This left me without the option to use the system for safety and convenience due to its unreliability. Now 5 years later, I had to bring my car to the Mercedes dealer, a different Mercedes dealer, for the airbag recall among other things. The mechanic runs a short scan and finds the TeleAid issue on the first day its there. The antenna has been the issue all this time since it was first purchased. Will Mercedes own the issue since it shouldnt have been there when I bought the Certified vehicle in the first place? NO. Will Mercedes honor the original warranty since the issue was brought to their attention while the car was covered by the certified warranty? NO. Even though it was brought to the Mercedes dealer for this issue at least 4 times within the first year I owned the vehicle? NO. Even though I have documentation from the dealership showing I told them about the problem and they didnt fix it, documentation from the time it was covered? NO. Even though the corporate customer service representative told me at the time to document the TeleAid issue so that if its figured out when the warranty is expired, they will know it was an issue under the warranty and they will fix it for free? NO. What does Mercedes wonderful customer service department say? Not the dealership but the Mercedes main customer service, the ones who are supposed to help when the dealer doesnt? They said, Well, the representative who said that doesnt work here anymore. They said they would give me a sales incentive to buy another Mercedes, but they will not take financial responsibility for the issue because its not under warranty. They said this repeatedly like they were reading a script. They are actually under the impression that a customer could be treated this poorly and then, because of a nondescript sales incentive, the customer will forget their entire frustrating experience and buy another Mercedes. I was under the belief that Mercedes was a company known for excellence in customer service. I found they would rather lose a customer than pay to fix a vehicle issue that should have never been there when the car was sold. The best part of Mercedes being willing to lose a customer is that the issue would only cost $240.00 to fix. In my opinion, what the dealer does is puts a certified warranty on the car, which they pay for. Then they leave to problems for the customer to find, bring the car back in, and then charge the warranty company for the repairs they perform. That is exactly what happened with me. So, in closing, I have lost almost all respect for Mercedes as a company. With the exception of a few dealership employees, the company is horrible to deal with. They refuse to do the right thing by their customers. The only reason for the 2 star rating instead of a 1 star rating is my experience with one service manager. He deserves 5 stars and a raise, the rest of this company was a waste of my money and many hours of my time in trying to resolve issues that should have never existed. If this saves one person from blindly buying a certified Mercedes, Ill be happy. Dont trust the image, its not accurate.

The latest issue is that the drive shaft universal joints have to be replaced and the Mercedes dealership tells me that the whole shaft has to be replaced as the universals cannot be changed on their own?????? 2,000 for what would be a $200 job anywhere else. Seems everything about this van to repair is expensive... Def heater $2,000, trouble diagnosis $200, headlights rotted out in two years, alternator in three, blows out lights on a regular basis, radio has not worked since it was ahead old, etc etc etc... Living a relative short time with a 2001 E430 was a disaster. The troubles started at only 4,000 miles. Massive electrical issues such as A/C, window, seats, Bose stereo, instrument cluster digits going blank, numerous check engine lights, ABS failure, traction control failure, speed sensor failure and constant Hella headlight issues. Despite repairs made under warranty, I found myself at the dealer at least once a month. There were more than several mechanical issues as well such as engine mounts, V8 running on 4 cylinders only, and many many more. I sold the car at a loss, but I am very glad I did. If you pay $70,000 or less or more, you should expect quality. Mercedes Benz obviously isnt concerned about quality. Motor Werks dealer in Chicago is careless. This was my third nightmare with a Mercedes-Benz product, and the very LAST. I have gone onto Lexus with absolutely ZERO quality and reliability issues-ZERO. Lexus customer service is impressive.

In April 2013, I bought a pre-owned 2007 Mercedes E550 at the Lexus Dealership with 49,000 miles on car and bought a one-year Lexus Gold Protection Plan. In the one year and 4 months time frame, I have had to replace the brake pads that were supposedly put on at the Lexus Dealership prior to the car being sold to me. Last week, an indicator came on that said car too low. I am thinking I must have a flat tire but it is way worse than that. I get out of car and the rim of the car is sitting on top of the tire. I make it a half mile away to Express Oil and thankfully they are able to put car in their garage that night. The next day, Express Service department tells me the right front suspension has gone out and it will be $1465 to repair car. This is so disappointing that I bought a pre-owned Mercedes of such poor quality. When I called Mercedes about 2007 Mercedes E550, the customer service reps, Jackie and Olivia, were rude and not the least bit helpful. When I asked about possible recalls on the 2007 Mercedes E550, she said there were none related to my issue. There are many complaints online over this particular Mercedes model and year. Jackie made it clear to me that Mercedes values brand loyalty and because my repairs were done at Express there would be no consideration of help from Mercedes. Jackie also told me that they look at brand loyalty and since I did not get my car serviced every time at Mercedes that this would seem to influence whether I was loyal to the Mercedes brand. This is my second Mercedes so I informed her that I was pretty considering that I have bought 2. She did not care about pleasing the customer and basically told me because my car was a 2007 that this played a role in the car having issues. I am now noticing while idling that the a/c runs hot so that I am sure will cost me more money. I bought a lemon on the 2007 Mercedes E550. I am one unhappy owner of a Mercedes and I am extremely disappointed with the arrogant, uncaring customer service at Mercedes. No more Mercedes once I trade this piece of junk!!!

With under 40,000 at the initial start of the check engine light coming on which no one else besides MB has ever serviced, I had to get the balance shaft replaced in the motor at my total expense. From reading reviews and information from this page and other pages they said it was best to take the car back to the dealer for this type of job. I tried other Mercedes dealerships in Cleveland: North Olmsted gave me a phone estimate of $10,000, Mercedes-Benz of Willoughby Leikin said they were too small to handle such a big job so I ended up taking the car back to Mercedes Benz of Bedford where I originally purchase it for a mere$7,036.51. I associate this cost with me being **, female, prior neg. post and phone calls. This was the worse purchase I have ever made in my life and I would NEVER buy another Mercedes. They do not stand behind their merchandise. I think they tossed a coin to see who was going to service me (after corporate calls, because Bedford where I originally purchased the car new, never called me back). My conclusion: once the car is out of warranty they really dont want your business, unless its to trade the car in on a new one and they resell your old one for a mint. I know people are in business to make money but when your product falls short of what it claims to be I feel you are obligated to provide some type of relief. Word of mouth is the best advertisement you can get. When the words of many mouths is a negative experience in the end you lose. By the way Mercedes USA was a waste of my time. They did absolutely nothing.

I have a Benz E350 2006. I just had a new transmission put in at over $6,000.00...... My check engine light then went on of which I was told it was the balance shift gears. (Mercedes-Benz currently has a class action lawsuit complaint filed for this issue for some of their cars with this problem as well as faulty engines & idle gears..... CONSUMERS... check this out... Do your research! I will be joining the class action lawsuit when I get my car back.) It was then going to cost me $5,500.00 by a Mercedes Benz dealership to replace the Balance Shift gears.... I also had an auxiliary battery replaced AND 2 cam sensors to see if the check engine light would go off.... It did not. I now have to replace the Balance Shift gears so my car will pass emissions inspection. The Mercedes Benz car I own, based on my experiences, IS NOT worth buying. Mercedes Benz needs to be responsible for faulty equipment. Mercedes Benz DOES NOT have the reputation it use to, in my opinion. I will never buy another Benz.

BEWARE TO ANYONE THINKING ABOUT GETTING A MERCEDES GLE! On November 30, 201
BEWARE TO ANYONE THINKING ABOUT GETTING A MERCEDES GLE! On November 30, 2016, I leased a Mercedes GLE from Keyes Mercedes in Van Nuys, California. Only a month later, the coolant light came on. We fixed the issue. And then about two months later, two other error signs kept lighting up: (1) Inoperative, See Operators Manual and (2) Active Brake Assist, Functions Limited, See Operators Manual. I was very concerned because the accelerator felt odd when the error signs came on, and the car did not feel safe to drive. We brought the car in for service. The service department addressed the issue, and I received my car back. Since then, the error lights have come on again and again. At this point, my car has gone in FOUR TIMES to the service department to address these error signs that keep coming on! I soon will reach ONE MONTH of being in a loaner car.Keyes Mercedes Service Department has been great in trying to repair the car, but the car is a lemon and it doesnt look like it can be fixed. Mercedes headquarters has been absolutely terrible. Back in March, I reached out to Mercedes headquarters at 800 367 6372, and spoke to an Executive Referral Manager by the name of Kyla. She would not provide her last name. All she would say is it would take 4-6 weeks to determine what can be done, if anything. She would not escalate the situation further, and she would not put me in touch with the regional manager. When I tried to reach out to her when I kept having to bring the car back in for service, she did not respond. When I finally heard back, Kyla said there is nothing that could be done and, shortly afterwards, she relayed that she is changing roles. After several attempts to find a new contact at Mercedes headquarters, I received a call from someone named Brian today. He, too, would not provide his last name. All he could say is it would take another 4-6 weeks to determine what can be done, if anything! THIS IS LUDICROUS! Weve had the car for only 5 1/2 months. It is completely unreasonable for us to have experienced this many error signs. In fact, we should not have experienced any during this short time. What is more unreasonable is Mercedes headquarters will not do a thing about it. Ive never encountered such terrible customer service! I have a feeling that Ill be stuck in a loaner car for many months to come at this rate! It looks like MERCEDES GAVE ME A LEMON!

Last week, I took my E200 (2006) in for servicing at the official dealer in Amman. They said it needed an oil change, filters and new spark plugs. The car was ready in the afternoon. On my way home, the engine was choking slightly, especially when I applied the throttle. I thought it could be a faulty spark plug and decided I would take it back the next morning. When I started the car the next morning, there was a rattling noise in the engine. I moved about 20 meters, there was no power. So I took it back into my garage and called the dealer. They sent me a mechanic who said the car must not be driven and should be taken back by winch. He said the two timing cogs above the engine were probably worn and the may need replacing. Two days later, they called me from the workshop to say they had changed these parts and also put in a new timing chain but when they started the engine, there was still a rattling noise which they thought was due to something wrong with the valves. They opened up the engine again and supposedly fixed everything. My bill for this, after discount, was a handsome J.D.2545 (Euros 2700)! I paid and went home. This was yesterday. This morning, on the way to work, the brake pedal suddenly went flat and the ABS light came on. Braking was lost for a few seconds. I was lucky I was going very slowly in a traffic jam and, as the car veered to the left, I didnt hit anyone. I slowly drove the remaining mile to my office. On the way, I lost the power in the steering for a while, then the ESP light came on. I really didnt know what was going on. They have just winched the car back to the workshop. My question is this: Is it normal for Mercedes metal teeth to wear out so badly after 125000 kilometers? I am 68 years old, have had a license for 50 years and was a car dealer myself at one point. I thought Mercedes was one the best made cars on the market and lived almost forever. I am shocked, indignant and really needing an explanation.

Mercedes has had a problem with the 48 volt battery since, at least Jan. 2020. The battery shuts off and the car dies even while running. I leased the GLS 450 in April 2021. The car did not start in October 2021 and the 48 volt battery fortunately died while not in use. The message on the dash was “shut vehicle off immediately”. It was at the dealer for almost 3 weeks and of course no loaner was available. When I contacted Mercedes about leasing a defective car to me (which I could have just as well purchased), it took me 3 tries before someone got back to me. Then, they refused to pay the cost of my rental. They said had the GLS been in the shop 4 weeks they would have paid for the rental??? So I paid for the month lease and had the car 1 week plus paid $2000 for the rental. So very unsafe car and poor customer service. Really sad, it’s an $80,000 vehicle from what I believed was a reputable company.

I purchased a 2013 CPO C250. What sold me was the unlimited mile warranty. I had discussed with the finance dept what was and wasnt covered. I had also discussed what the car was to be used for. The purchase was Jan 5 2015. The car was in the shop a lot. I average about 65k miles a year. I had used the warranty several times without a hitch. 2 weeks ago my car was in the shop and I get a text from my writer saying, MBUSA has canceled your warranty. Come pick up your car. So I did. I arrived at the dealership and was amazed that they returned a broken car that looked like they parked it under a tree full of birds. Very tacky. Now, afraid to drive the car. I baby it every time I drive it. Of course thats no good. The car left me stranded last night in the middle of nowhere and dumped all the oil out. Seems a little convenient. Almost like they knew it would happen. I have been in the auto business for many years and have never seen a customer treated this badly. Thats not the whole ugly story but Im sure you get the gist of it. Big thumbs down for MBUSA. BTW, I sell German cars and we are a class act compared to this manufacturer.

While it is well known as STAR brand and top luxury, comparing MB product support (goodwill) is way bad compared to BMW and Audi. Audi provides up to 12 years power train goodwill. MB with an engine less than 100K with well maintained vehicle failed to offer reasonable consideration for their engine. Their Customer support offered me 1K sales incentive on new vehicle (I have a 86K value vehicle, 1K is 1.17% of the vehicle). I would say if Daimler knows about MBUSA and keep silent this is a big mistake.
