The Mercedes E350 has been around since 2006. This engine is a true workhorse, which is featured on a variety of body styles. I have owned two of them, the first on a lease and the second one a purchase. Although my current E350 is a 2013 model, it still looks new in style and condition. I have found it extremely reliable and with the MB Certified warranty, a wise buy. There are a number of great improvements to this model each year, but my current 2013 is as good as them all. I will not hesitate to recommend the E350 to anyone seeking a great-looking, luxury car. I found it to be very cost effective to purchase a Mercedes.

I bought Mercedes E350D 2016 from Mercedes Liverpool about 2 months ago. 16k on the clock, manufacturer approved. On the way home I noticed that the car starts to vibrate when I press the brakes. I contacted Mercedes Liverpool and they said that I need to go to the nearest Mercedes and fix it and they will cover all costs. I paid £1200 to change brake pads and disks and rear alloy wheel. Mercedes-Benz of Liverpool did not pay me anything, they keep saying my different stories. They said that they already sent money into my account, then they said that they issued check 2 weeks ago, then they said they need to get an approval from head office and so on. When I contacted Mercedes Customer Service, they replied to me saying that Mercedes-Benz of Liverpool had already paid me by the check so I had to go back to Liverpool to confirm that but they said: No we are still getting an approval from head office. Absolutely useless service!!! Worst service ever.

A year ago I purchased my first Mercedes, a 2010 Mercedes Benz, GLK350. My first foreign car. The car has been driven less than 3500 miles by me. I get into the car over a week ago and the light comes on in the dash (Frontal SRS/airbag). The car will not start. The AAA service came and tried to jump me, with no success in getting the car started. He tested the battery and replied and showed me that my battery was great. Your mechanic looked at the car, after I had it towed to your dealership) and Chris informed me that the battery was no good. (The mechanic stated he could not see what was wrong until I purchased the battery.) And wanted to charge me $500.00. We all know, with common sense, that comment was incorrect.I’ve always known, if I bought a foreign car, I had to know my rights and become very knowledgeable of the Model/Make. So I maintain counsel. I remembered the recall of the airbag and airbag sensor. I noticed the rear taillight not working (A possible symptom due to faulty pyro-fuse.) If the car has a pyro-fuse and this fuse is not properly working, there is no way to start the car. It is not difficult to change the pyro-fuse but the SRS system might need a reset. Also if the issue was at the pre-fuse box. The frontal module has harmed other electrical parts on my car and need replacement. Chris informed me that the problem was possibly the pre-fuse box and it needed to be replaced and my total cost is $1300-1400. He also stated that they were not sure that the pre-fuse was my problem. There could be other issues, but I must pay for the box first before they could find out definitely. I informed him of the recall and he stated the recalls had nothing to do with the pre-fuse box. I requested that he at least repair the recall items. The parts of the recall, he states, are pending. So I find people have died because of this recall, per legal counsel, including the defected rear tail light. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN.I AM REQUESTING THE FOLLOWING: For this service expense to be applied to either recall or manufacturer including the battery cost and replacement. Whatever sensor is faulty, the battery was drained. Return my old battery and the pre-fuse box. Make arrangements for a loaner until recall parts are in and replaced Hire employees who are professionally experienced, compassionate, knowledgeable, honest and not greedy to take extra money home to care for his family (per the attendant). If one possesses the traits requested, his sales will increase tremendously.

I bought a new 2012 CLK 350 MB from Myrtle Beach Automotive. Air conditioner did not work (came from factory not working). After 1 week in service center, I received the car back. I met with GM **, Service Manager **, and Service and Parts Operations Manager ** out of the corporate office in Jacksonville, Florida about receiving another new car, extending my warranty, or refunding my money. ** went on to tell me he had the power to do whatever he deemed necessary to keep me the customer happy and the dealership in which he also represented. Long story short, he did nothing but lose a customer for life. And now for peace of mind for me and wife, we are probably going to be spending another 3 to 4 grand on an extended warranty because we are concerned that we have purchased a lemon. I sure wish I would have read all the reviews before purchasing a MB.

I am having a dispute with my dealers service. I had my r350 towed on a flat bed by a contracted towing service provided by Mercedes-Benz roadside assistance due to a flat tire that had recently been plugged. Luckily, the car was been driven in town at a slow speed and not at highway speeds with my children in the car!Extensive damage was caused to the under carriage and to the BlueTEC line because of this tow. I havent been with my vehicle or even an offer of a loaner vehicle, since Aug 31, 2011. Neither the dealer nor the towing company are taking any responsibility for the damage. I have finally directed the dealer to just repair the bare minimum so the vehicle may be driven. This experience has tainted my trust in Mercedes-Benz. I have every intention of disposing of both my wifes r350 BlueTEC as well as my E63 AMG. These two vehicles are my 5th and 6th purchases of Mercedes-Benz products. You can rest assured that they will be my last. If your are interested in salvaging a once loyal customer, I would be happy to discuss the details further.

My husband and I own a business and finally had the fund to purchase a brand new special order 2013 Mercedes Sprinter Van in Fall 2013: FOR CASH, No Financing!! Month one he had brake and electrical issues & each time he went back they told him he was crazy. Month 2-5 (last time brought in was one week ago) weekly visits for failing brakes, emergency lights coming on and scary noises from the van. Each time they find nothing and they tell us there is no recall. How can something become a recall if they wont report the finding??? We were forced to started videotaping things to send them but magically they would tell us it was something he did. The van has less than 2,000 miles but we are the issue. This van has been in and out of service every month but they cant find anything wrong. Each time its there, we lose money, so why would we want to waste their time and ours??? At one time they had it in the shop for over 2 weeks!!! We never had these issues with our used vans. My main fear is the brakes stop working when I have my kids in there or some child is crossing the street and the brakes dont work. We are told every time that they cant find anything wrong. We spent over $55,000 cash and we lose money every time is sits in the shop. The service people have not helped us at all in this dealership and we dont want anyone else to go through this!!! I dont know where else to turn!!!

Good afternoon. I am a Mercedes C300 owner and recently I have had some problems with my car not starting...I took it to the RBM Mercedes in Alpharetta, Georgia for diagnostic review. The diagnostic presented with a problem within the steering column which caused the vehicle to not respond. I in turn looked up info on this problem and have noticed this to be an ongoing and unaddressed issue with the make and model years 2008-2009.My question to you, upon communicating my concerns to the service center who currently has my car for repair, is, what are you doing to rectify this problem and since it is an ongoing concern why has a recall not been done on this or why are customers being charged upwards of 1500.00 USD to have these repairs completed. I for one know the cost of repairs for a car in this category of cars, but I do not feel it appropriate that because an issue within the manufacturing of this vehicle is a cause for repair should I have to pay to have an identified manufactured deficiency repaired. I am very disappointed that this has occurred a number of times and nothing has been done to rectify the expenses incurred in this matter.

I have only 16,500 miles on my C250 Mercedes that I leased short term (Im currently at 24 months of a 27 month lease). Took my car in today for B services which was prepaid. I was told that my rear tires are bald and that I need to spend $700 plus to replace them before end of lease term which is in two months. And if I dont, Ill be charged when I turn the car in. This is in addition to the $600 disposition fee which I should never have agreed to. Ive leased cars my entire life and have never had to replace tires on a car after such a short period of time. Is Mercedes installing poor quality tires for this purpose? The service manager told me that they use tires for performance and not for wear and tear. Ive never had to pay so much to dump a leased car! I will never buy/lease a Mercedes again!

The seat covering pealed (2009 C350) after 3.5 years for a garaged car. Since it has 52,000 miles, MB would not warrant replacement. It was a factory defect not a usage issue. I bought a luxury car and the interior doesnt hold up. Very disappointed in my first and last MB.

2010 C-300 4matic - I purchased my first MB in August 2014. Very excited and happy as this was the car I had always wanted. I have not even made my first car payment and the car was not shifting properly then on my way to work acted like it was in neutral. I pulled over and called roadside assistance. Car towed to dealership where I have been told the transmission is gone. I do have a warranty on this car; however; I was told that they could not locate a transmission in the whole United States. I was given a loaner and told it would be a while before my car would be ready. I feel like I am being fed a line of garbage. I do not trust that this car will be reliable. I am at a crossroad as to whether I wait for this vehicle to be repaired or do I demand a refund and find another car. I am so disappointed and disillusioned with what I thought was going to be a dream come true. Any advice?

Since I had received my car Class B-150 in 2008. I am suffering from it because of many problems. Brakes: Its not up to the expected when needed (very weak). Makkar Agency has been informed of this problem and they made necessary maintenance (as assumed by them) till the expiry of the guarantee period. Then they asked for a complete adjustment for the whole brake system!!! After this incident, I moved to Katameya Maintenance Center. During 2011 another problem has been appeared which is vibration and weird voices in the motor. They defined the disrepair as a problem in the Belt Tensioner and they changed it in September 2011. The problem continued and they ignored our many complaints about it till the guarantee period of the Belt Tensioner has been expired. In April 2014, the problem has been aggravated and the car became slow and the vibrations are increased where I suspected the gear box oil. Car has been sent to the Mercedes Maintenance at Fom El Khalig and they reported that gear box oil is not the problem and it is in good condition and they have to change Belt Tensioner again (already has been changed when the car was reading 30,800 km). Three days after receiving the car, same problem appeared again. I re-sent it again to the same Maintenance Center (Fom al Khalig) where they reported that the car needs to change the main Control Board of the Gear Box!!! You will not believe that the car is reading now 47,011 km which is very weird and strange for Mercedes Benz with their GREAT HISTORY. From the above, Im not satisfied at all with the car regarding all many disrepairs which affected my job and I consider the above as waste of time and money. When I chose to buy Mercedes I chose Name, Reputation, Strength and durability. I work as Engineering Director at and Engineering Consultancy Company for Petroleum Companies (as Business Card attached) and Im sure that Mercedes Benz, with their large reputation in Egypt and Middle East and Internationally, cannot accept these many disrepairs for a car 47,000 km. I really was going to buy the new CLA but now after all these happenings, I will not and will not recommend Mercedes for any of my acquaintances. I expect free change of this spare part and rechecking of the many frequent breakdowns of the car. Appreciating your understanding and your time. N.B. my car is in Mercedes Agency at Fom Al Khalig since Saturday 3rd of May and no answer till now.

Got the car on 1 November 2013. Four times the car engine went dead suddenly while I was driving on a highway at 110km/hr, once at 80km/hr, and once at 60km/hr. It give a sign of slippery road, refer to your manual. I was forced to steer to the side of the highway before the car came to a total stop. Must quickly turn on the ignition twice to restart the car. Sometimes it gives wrong warning like you should take a break now.... which is to warn that I am not driving straight. The car was sent back for service. A service man said was a small problem and they have fixed it alright.Unfortunately, it happened again. Now the car is in the service center again. It has been a month already but I they have not figured out what is the problem. Me and my family insist on returning the car. Terrifying Near-Death Experience! For the first few days, I did not hear from the service center until I sent an email to the head office in Malaysia, cc to head office in Germany. Immediately they called to say I could use their s-class Merz until the total diagnosis is done. I refused cos I want to return the default car. I cant sell my car in order to buy another but I am paying installment RM3000+++ I have sleepless night. They said depreciated write off cost would be very high if I am to sell the car. Why I need to bear all the cost? Been searching on the internet and I have found that there are similar cases happened to other Merz owners.

Never again will I buy a new Mercedes. Our 2011 ML350 has only 22,000 on it as of today. We use it for vacation trips only and it is stored in a climate controlled garaged when not in use. We have had three major repairs in the 22,000 miles, mostly sensors failing that made drivability terrible. Also had to have a new computer installed after several trips to various MB dealers who could not seem to diagnose the problem.Latest problem is bad rattling noise from the front suspension. I took the car to an independent mechanic who has a stellar reputation who diagnosed the problem as upper front strut mounting failure. This was at 17,000 miles and in preparation for a trip to Florida we had scheduled and wanted to be sure it was safe to drive. On that trip I took it to a dealer in Raleigh, NC where our daughter lives to have it repaired (We have no dealer within 100 miles of us here). The dealer verified the strut problem and quoted over $1800 to repair, which was a shock to me as I assumed at 22,000 miles that the warranty would cover this. We were told the time on our warranty had expired by just a little bit and it would not be covered by warranty. I called MB USA and tried to get it covered since it was such low mileage on the car. They would only allow a 40% discount on the repair. I then took the car to the earlier mentioned mechanic who did the repairs for less than the 40% off price at MB dealers. Never again will we buy a MB or have this one repaired by a MB dealer. The build quality on this car is about as bad as owning a Yugo. I have much experience on automotive builds as my hobby is restoring antique cars and building hot rods. I have built several cars from the frame up and currently own two hot rods built that way (1953 Ford F-100 and a 1934 Chevrolet). The car club I belong to is who recommended the local mechanic I use now for all maintenance on my newer cars when I dont have time or equipment to do it myself. The MB was purchased by my wife as her car and we expected much more from such a high priced vehicle. Highly disappointed in Mercedes-Benz.

2013 E350 serviced every time it required service and every time informed them that the steering wheel tilt does not work - first time it was a software upgrade they installed - still did not fix the problem. Second time they found motor gear locked and unlocked it, again it did not fix the problem. 3rd time they made a steering adjustment and applied lube, and again it did not fix it. 4th time they want to replace the tilt motor for $1,300 and give me a 50% discount. My position is that it is a chronic defect that was never fixed correctly and I should not have to pay anything. The car is now out of warranty approx. 55,000 miles and for me it is the principle and I will never purchase a Mercedes-Benz. This is my 3rd new vehicle with them and it did not matter nor have they treated me like a valued customer. My mistake was that I did not take the car back frequently when the steering wheel did not work - I waited until a regular service was needed and told them every time. A very sad ending. My recommendation - buy Lexus and you will not have this experience. Hard for me to say since I was born and raised in Germany.

On Saturday July 14th, 2017, after about 1-2 miles of driving my 2017 MB E300 started jerking and the check engine light came on when I drove toward the first lane for a left turn on a busy highway intersection. I also found the gear was changed to neutral on the panel. I tried to change the gear to drive while waiting for the traffic light but I couldn’t. I changed the gear to park and stopped the engine to restart the car but couldn’t restart at all. I pressed the MB roadside assistance (MRA) button. They said a tow truck would be there within 20 mins. In the meantime someone helped push the car to move it to the side but the gear didn’t stay on neutral. It kept going back to park. Then it didn’t go to neutral anymore. I got stuck in the middle of the road at the intersection. There was nothing else I could do but patiently waited for towing with my little kid inside the car with an emergency light on and all 4 windows open. The car was heated up with the outside temp of over 90F. My kid was getting exhausted and drowsy due to a high temp of 110F inside the car. I pressed the assistance button again after waiting almost 40 mins and explained about an urgent situation. They said they were still searching for a provider and would text me an ETA of a tow truck once they located it. Couldn’t believe what they said. My kid was almost passing out from the heatstroke. I started looking for other ways to tow my car when I finally got a text from the MRA saying a truck would be there in 50 MINS. OMG! Couldn’t believe what they said! Then a lady stopped her car next to me. She gave us water, let me move my kid into her car with cool air, called her AAA, and let me use the service under her authority. AAA showed up in 15 mins and towed my car to the nearest MB dealership. The service department was already closed because it was Saturday. I left a car key and my contact number. I was more disappointed with a lousy MRA than the car breakdown. What’s the purpose of the button? Why did they install the useless button in the car? If it wasn’t there I wouldn’t press it and waste almost 1 1/2 hrs on the street! What a terrifying and life threatening situation I had! My kid could have died in the car!I got a text from the service department in 2 days. They found a spark plug failed and damaged one of the engine cylinders. The engine now needs to be replaced and no ETA on the replacement. Wow! For less than 2 year old Mercedes-Benz with 17000 miles on? What kind of junk has Mercedes-Benz sold? And more shocked about a very poor customer service to a loyal customer with 10 years old relationship!

I purchased my C280 with 7 miles on it. It was the car of my dreams and my very first new car. To make a long story short, five years after purchase and a lot of money invested in maintenance and repairs and no warranty, Ive been told that I need to replace the camshaft plugs, sensor, adjuster, balance shaft, engine mounts, transmission mounts, timing chain and seals. Not to mention, both door handles broke off a few months ago (and to think I blamed my children). Whats worse, the mechanic added that those problems are common problem in C class vehicles from years 2006 to beginning 2008. Basically, the Mercedes Benz company is aware that this problem occurs in their vehicles due to a plastic camshaft that was previously used. Why wasnt I told this while I was still under warranty? Why werent the parts ever recalled? I am so hurt because I cant afford the $5,500 repair on my dream car! The quality I always thought accompanied the luxury of Mercedes Benz is a joke and I cant begin to express my disappointment.

We had a 2012 GL450 which we loved. It drove like a dream and convinced us Mercedes would be our choice from that time on. The navi system and controls were the only negative issues. So with that in mind, we upgraded to a 2015 the next year. Totally different car. The headrests are a nightmare. They are big and chunky, and the second row rests bob continually. You have to use pressure to lean back, and it drives passengers insane. You cant leave the rests down with passengers because it is a hard rock in your back if you do. I could go on and on about these. They cant be removed and when we asked the dealer if we had a lemon, he said he checked, and some do it and some dont. So no satisfaction in that.Another change is the seat controls are up higher on the door and not down on the lower part of the seat. This is inconvenient to me. Hard to explain but you tend to look at it when adjusting rather than feeling and keeping your focus on driving. Also, there is restricted movement with the wheel. In the 2012, when you adjusted your seat you could then adjust the wheel to any position, ie up/down/in/out. Not so with this one. Depending on the position it will not give full range. So I cant customize it to fit my comfort. The 2015 does handle well and the navi system is better, but still is not equal to some of the other car companies. But the insane headrests are the deal breaker. We are ready to trade/sell and find another company other than Mercedes.

Mercedes S550 is one beautiful vehicle. I own three of them. I just fell in love with this vehicle the very first time I saw one. Great ride, one of the best I ever rode in! Quiet ride, to the point where you feel so comfortable you want to rest instead of driving this vehicle. Now there is a good side to anything and there is the other side! Someone once said if you have to ask the price you must not have the ability to afford the cost to make repairs! First order of business, vehicle warranty a MUST! You ended up selling your first child to keep it on the road. Average maintenance cost per year $2,000 to $3,500 even if you have a good warranty. Tires, tune up, head lights for starters. The ride, the looks, the style might be worth the price to you.

I purchased a new 2017 Mercedes Benz Sprinter van and at approximately 5000 miles I started having transmission issues. I brought it to the dealer 3 times for the same issue. Every time they tried different things from updates to the control module, replacing the valve body to even swapping out the transmission control module all with no resolve. They even had a technical rep come out and after 3 weeks in the shop it’s still not working correctly. I’m convinced that their technicians are glorified part swappers and they have no clue what theyre doing. This is my first experience with Mercedes Benz and it’s going to be my last because to date this issue has cost me over 25k in lost business from not having my van and Mercedes Benz could care less.

Bought New 2009 C300. Only has 40,000 miles. Biggest junk we ever owned. Driver seat came apart. Paint on front bumper cover and all door handles peeling off (all plastic areas). Dealer agreed to repaint. After 1 year its happening again (Color is Mars Red). Car went into lock mode and wouldnt start. Had to be flat bedded to dealer. Blower motor for heat/air burned out. SRS system set off trouble codes dealer. Said bad seat belt parts. Car is out of warranty and have to pay for everything. Never owned such a junk!Bought New ML250 Bluetec Diesel. Just turned 20,000 miles on 4/4/17. Driving down road and starting surging. Went a little further down road and surging again. This time smelling Diesel fuel. Started smoking from under hood. Car broke down. Had to be flat bedded into dealer. Dealer said Fuel leak and all other related damage from fuel spraying on engine is due to rodent damage and warranty is not covering anything. Want to charge me $4500 to $5000 for repair.I dont believe there was any rodent damage and the fuel leak was caused by faulty parts. We drive the car every day. It doesnt sit around. I also drove it all day on 4/4/17 and this happened at 2:30 pm after driving all morning. I opened hood on roadside to make sure it wasnt on fire. Didnt see any signs on rodent nesting or anything. The car is under warranty and extended warranty and they wont cover anything. This is terrible customer service/relations. We are done with Mercedes-Benz. We will tell everyone we know. What is the sense of having warranty when they wont honor it. Rodent or not. Fix it. Warranty it. Its called customer service. What about the oil leak recall... which we havent got. I say that ruined the wires or harness and the oil ate through and that caused the problem. MB wont own up to these problems. When the MB Rep called me back she agreed with the dealers decision. Terrible. We are talking about New Vehicles $100,000 worth of JUNK. Our lawyer will be getting informed of these issues. We also filed a complaint with NHTSA.

I am writing concerning my new S550 with the above referenced VIN number, w
I am writing concerning my new S550 with the above referenced VIN number, which I picked up on May 16th from authorized Mercedes dealer, European Motor Cars of Devon, PA. I am a long time Mercedes owner and anticipated the continued combination of outstanding service and performance that has been the hallmark of my experience and for which Mercedes is renowned. The service at the dealership was excellent and I began the two plus hour drive home secure in the assumption that my decision to continue as a Mercedes customer was well founded. It was during this first drive that I noticed a minuscule stone strike the windshield adjacent to the rear view mirror with the result being a minute round indentation at the point of impact. I was initially alarmed that so small an object could cause such trouble but subsequent examination revealed the impact was tiny and almost imperceptible.I continued enjoying my new S550 on the daily commute from home to my medical practice until June 4th, when I was shocked to discover a new, approximately 15 inch long horizontal crack from the left side of the windshield to the passengers side. Unlike May 16th there was no observable incident or cause behind this new crack. I subsequently thoroughly examined the crack from outside and could not identify any sign of an impact site. Later that day, I called the MBUSA customer service center to report the windshield crack and ascertain what remedies were available under the vehicles warranty terms, especially considering I had the car less than three weeks. The service representative I spoke to advised me to take my car to an authorized Mercedes dealership service center where the windshield would be examined. I was also told that it was not necessary for me to return to my dealer, European Motor Cars of Devon, PA for service as long as I took the car to an authorized Mercedes dealer. The next day I made the arrangements and took my car to Mercedes of Massapequa in Massapequa, NY.The service manager examined the damage and suggested that what had probably occurred was a tiny stone had struck the windshield. He further advised me that unfortunately he sees many S550s with cracked windshields based on the high definition of the glass used in Mercedes windshields; the problem is one that Mercedes is aware of and one that Mercedes is working diligently along with their European suppliers to correct. He also advised me that based on this issue and the corresponding large number of S550s requiring replacement windshields, there is a long back order period, currently over 30 days, and accordingly I would have to wait until the end of July before my windshield could be replaced. He assured me that based upon all these issues, especially the known windshield defect, he would call MBUSA to make certain my windshield replacement would be covered under my warranty.Unfortunately, when the service manager called me back the next day, he told me that MBUSA denied his request to fully cover my windshield replacement under warranty. He told me that the approximate cost for the windshield replacement would be $2,263.00 and I was being offered a 50% valued customer credit by MBUSA with the end cost to me being more than $1,000.00. Considering my long standing relationship with Mercedes and the facts and circumstances particular to this issue I decided to call MBUSA directly. I asked for the representative assigned to my situation and was informed only that ** was my representative and that he would call me the next day. Despite this assurance I never received a call from **, and after waiting for his call, I decided to call him directly. I called several times and left several messages on his extension requesting he call me immediately to discuss my concerns. Despite this, none of my calls were returned by ** and after growing frustration I called another customer care representative to express my displeasure. It was during this call that the representative ** finally answered his phone and immediately and without provocation began haranguing me in a most unprofessional, discourteous and frankly rude manner. He claimed that the windshield is not a warranty issue and that I would be obligated to replace it myself for the full cost cited by the Massapequa service manager, without the discount previously offered. When I expressed concern with the condition of the car and the possibility of issues associated with driving the car with the windshield in its current condition until the late July date I was told when I could expect service, ** sarcastically told me that perhaps I should instead rent a replacement car from Hess Car Rental, but that I would still be responsible for lease payments in the interim. Following this reminder of my payment obligations, ** hung up on me. I have tried to repeatedly to call him again to discuss my concerns, without success, and without the courtesy of a return phone call, despite my repeated voicemail messages. After a myriad of unsuccessful attempts to speak to ** again, following my only phone conversation with him, I decided to address my concerns with his supervisor. When I again called MBUSAs customer service center and requested to speak with a supervisor, I was told that what I was asking was impermissible. I was further told that the only customer service representative with whom I was allowed to speak with was **; the same ** who had treated me so disgracefully and who had hung up on me during my one and only phone call with him. I was and remain shocked at the statement that my request to speak with a supervisor was denied and that I would only be permitted to discuss my situation with a single customer service representative, especially one who had treated me in such an unprofessional, rude fashion. Is this the policy for all of MBUSAs customers or am I, as one would suspect, the sole recipient of such shabby treatment? Since my phone call with ** I have called several authorized Mercedes service centers to inquire about the availability of an S550 windshield replacement. Every call was answered the same, no windshield replacements are available, several cars are awaiting the same service and the problem concerns a defect that both Mercedes and its suppliers are actively working to address. Since my initial call with MBUSA on the 4th a new secondary crack, approximately 30 inches long, has appeared just above the first. This new crack, along with the first, has rendered the vehicle unsafe to operate. Additionally the rising heat and humidity substantially increases the risk of further cracking and the potential for a catastrophic windshield failure, this is unacceptable. As initially indicated my experience with Mercedes has on the whole, until this most recent incident, especially the outrageous treatment by ** and the MBUSA telephone customer service center, been satisfactory. However I have previously had issues with Mercedes, issues which I was subsequently forced to address through lemon law litigation. The result of said litigation was a nearly unqualified vindication of my claim. I would prefer to resolve this current situation amicably but am prepared to assert my rights vigorously through but not limited to the same procedure. This current situation is made additionally urgent by virtue of the fact that my car is currently operating with a Pennsylvania dealer inspection sticker and has been since my purchase on May 16th. This sticker is valid for 30 days and therefore expires tomorrow, June 16th. The vehicle will not pass inspection in its current condition and is therefore now unusable. I therefore demand either my vehicle be repaired and restored to drivable condition immediately or I be provided a replacement vehicle by Mercedes without charge until such time as it is repaired and returned to a drivable condition. I further demand that any replacement vehicle provided be at least equal to or superior then my current vehicle, model S550. If said replacement vehicle is of a lesser quality, an appropriate adjustment must be made in my lease payment. I would also expect the full cost of the repairs be covered under warranty. Failure to respond and adequately address these demands will result in immediate action being taken through civil litigation, consumer protection enforcement and any and all other applicable processes. With that in mind your immediate attention and response to this correspondence is anticipated and expected. Thank you for your attention to this matter and I look forward to your immediate response.

I have a new 2018 Sprinter Van 3500 and because of needing a windshield repair discovered rust under the windshield on both side in the channel the windshield sites in from top to bottom. Mercedes is claiming that the rust is due to a conversion to a Class C RV as the roof of the cab was cut by the converter and metal particles caused rust to develop under the windshield and it is not a Mercedes problem. I am having a difficult time understanding how metal particles from a conversion would make their way under an already installed windshield on both side from top to bottom in the center of the channel, not at the outside edge. I am disappointed in what I thought was a quality product and the difficulty experienced with a Mercedes dealer in correcting the rust problem. Not wanting to correct the problem on this Mercedes Sprinter would cause me not to purchase another Mercedes.

He did not even come in a wrecker. This happened at 8:10 in the morning on a week day. I am now in appeal because they have lied unmercifully. I received a phone call last week from Santander threatening me because I took the case to appeal and should win. I recorded the conversation as I have all of them and that is how I proved their lies. I am Pro Se though not by choice. He threatened me then 2 hours later when I went to put my key in the ignition, the words came up take your key from the ignition. It left me stranded there that night. Did they lock me out of my car? I am afraid to take it in because I dont want them to say I stole the vehicle. I dont know what to do.I was stranded for hours. I cannot do my job since I am locked out of my car, this will keep me from filing my appeal. I am a nervous wreck that they are trying to frame me for something I have not done.

I purchased my 2008 Mercedes Benz S450. I bought it 17 months ago and have had it in the shop 12 times. Yep. It’s true. The S450 nearly identical to the S550 but it’s a Canada-only edition. It has all the same features as an S550 but a slightly smaller engine therefore less gas consumption (not that I could care less). Within the 1st month, I had it back to the dealership for a $6,000 replacement of the GPS. With only 50,000 km on it (approx. 31,068 miles). It went downhill from there. Somewhere in there I lost my key and the replacement took six weeks and cost $406.13. Currently the catalytic converter is shot on the right hand side (there are 2) and that lovely quote has come in at $2,481 to replace. Cant wait until the other side goes. Sure people stare at this car as I drive by, beautiful lady with long blonde hair driving a high-end vehicle but it sure hasnt been worth it. Im making car payments about $1,000 a month and not only are the regular oil changes brutal ($500 on average) but there are a number of things wrong with the car that were wrong since the day I bought it that the mechanic cant troubleshoot because it doesnt seem to make that noise when he drives it. This includes the Distronic arbitrarily shutting off even on the highway on sunny days with no inclines on the roadway and no traffic with the car being washed just earlier that morning so nothing in the way of road grime. Go figure. The seat never worked properly since day one but since I didnt think the seats performed with the auto-inflation when you turned a corner, I never raised it up with the dealership. Then it cost me $500 after arguing back and forth because they said I broke it. By the way, the reason I never knew the seats were supposed to have this feature is because not only did it not work when I test-drove the vehicle and then bought it but the salesman was having surgery the day I bought the vehicle, and no one explained to me the various features. Ive been reading the very thick and complicated manual trying to see what features my car does have and thats how I found out. Again, when I went back to say it wasnt working since day one the dealership thought I was trying to scam them. Out of frustration I paid the $500 (half the cost) to get the seat fixed but believe me, I will take a polygraph test and prove the seat never worked since day one. I could never re-sell this car with a broken seat so I bucked up and had it fixed. I also take meticulous car of this vehicle and dont like things not working on it. Im exhausted but I still owe $40,000 on the car loan and Im locked in to this nightmare. Would I buy another one? No, of course not. I have owned two Chryslers before this, and NEVER had to pay this kind of maintenance and the one Chrysler 300C is a 2005, has over 400,000 km on it and Im lucky if Ive had to pay $3,000 in total for things that have need replacing. So, looking at the stack of receipts and work orders from the last 18 months, Ive got another three and a half years of payments to go on this thing and then Im free. Come on Mercedes. Stop creating new vehicles and advertising them on TV when you have a mountain of issues from the past to have to resolve. If I ran my company this way, Id be bankrupt and in jail.

Our first Sprinter 2500 full size was a 2012 from Ray Catena in Union that was back for repairs 4-6 times prior to having 20,000 miles for problems with the DEF fuel additive shutting down the engine and leaving me stranded and towed at one time. Please lets not talk about the service department, unbelievable! Terrible! They offered to change my oil and do a Mandatory transmission flush otherwise it would void my warranty totaling out to $500.00 for both and then tried to hand me a bill for almost $900.00 and told me that the oil filter is a lambswool oil filter. When I went to my local oil change business in Eatontown, I requested the lambswool oil filter and they wanted to know why I would want that when a Mobil 1 filter came out from the last oil change at Mercedes Benz in Union, NJ. We made the mistake of buying another one a 2016 2500 Sprinter full size from Contemporary Mercedes Benz. This one had the alignment knocked out at 15000 miles and chipped up the tires to where there was patches of rubber missing and I was told that they could do a complimentary alignment but I was stuck with the tires that still shake the steering wheel. The air conditioner has not worked since we bought the truck and we have been being told that there is a fix coming any month now, since October of 2017. We are now coming into a second summer with the air not working when its over 75 degrees out and it is now May of 2018 and were told that they would offer us an extended warranty at no cost. MY QUESTION IS WHAT GOOD WOULD THAT WARRANTY DO IF THE CURRENT WARRANTY CANT FIX IT EITHER!!!! By the way we only have 23k on this new truck. I would have been better off buying a used vehicle off of a used car lot on the highway than a brand new vehicle from Mercedes Benz! What a joke.

To all Mercedes owners, please note you cannot have a drink in your cup holder in your car. Because god forbid, if it spills over, it can disable your car and bring it to dangerous halt. My son was setting the drink back in the holder when the lid pupped off and the water spilled over the shift lever; and moments later, the car suddenly came to a halt with no warning. Luckily, there was no one near on the road; otherwise, there would have been an accident for sure. So, I did some research on line and found out I am not alone. This happens with all Mercedes models and it is an expensive fix. I called the Mercedes customer complaint line. I told them what happened. They said, “Take your car to an authorized dealer for diagnosis and will get back to you,” even though the person speaking to me was clearly aware of this problem since she mentioned it was an approximately $1,200.00 repair. I had the car towed to the dealer, and the technician called me back and said, “We have your car and will get back to you with an estimate.” I said Mercedes should take care of the repairs. Minutes later, another person called me back from the dealer and said he was the manager; that he was told I needed to speak to him. Anyway, I explained to him my concerns and told him that Mercedes should make the repairs and fix the flaw at no charge. Today, I got a call from the complaint department basically saying they are not responsible, and they will not help with the situation. I looked on the internet and know there are many people with the same problem, and I am determined to get everyone on board to fight this big corporation for taking our lives for granted for extra profit.

I have had my 2015 C300 W4 since 2018. Here are the facts to my car and experience. I purchased the car at the Rallye Dealership in Long Island, New York. I purchased it at 12,000 miles. As of today, April 4th, 2022, I have a total of 36,000 miles. My warranty had expired in April 2019. On March 9th, my dashboard had a check engine light sign come on in so I took it directly to the Foothill Ranch service center in California. Again, I have had this car since 2018, barely drove or had any miles on it, and always received the A and B service maintenance at a certified Mercedes-Benz dealership. After checking out the engine light, Benz told me I had a positive crankcase valve and needed to replace it. The costs? $1,900. Plus, I had a diagnosis where I would need about $10,000 in repairs. I thought this was absurd being that I did not have any miles on this car or that my car would need such a costly repair plus $10,000 worth of other repairs. I reached out to the customer service team at Mercedes-Benz where I was assisted by a man with the initial S. He came back to me reading off a policy script saying they would only cover 50% of the total repair costs of $1,900... Imagine hearing that Mercedes-Benz wants to cover only 9% of the total costs of repairs my car needs. I reasoned with him letting him know I would cover up to $2,000 of other repairs needed if and only if Benz could cover the replacement crankcase valve. In return, he again reads the same script saying Benz cant do anything else. It was just so disappointing to work with someone who acted as if it was his money that I was asking for. He didnt even empathize or try to advocate for me being that I hadnt even driven this car. Yes, my warranty expired but again, I only had 35,800 miles when I initially brought the car in to check out the engine light. This experience with S really changed my perspective on this company. I am selling my car because I cant believe a brand like Mercedes-Benz couldnt even offer to cover a $1,800 repair out of the $10,000 costs of total repairs I was recommended to fix... Think about that and let it sit with you. This experience has confirmed and affirmed never to buy or support a company where although factually this car has issues and it is a quality issue WITHIN Mercedes-Benz, that youve amounted to a single percentage. Its incredible that I who have made all my payments and paid for all my maintenance services, was told no and that Mercedes cannot offer anything else. Even as a courtesy, nothing was provided. I hope that in the future whoever speaks to anyone or an S who works as Executive Referral Manager will note that they wont help you or will only cover a small percentage. I cannot wait to get this car out of my hands and provide my money elsewhere and not to this company. I am looking forward to the day this car is out of my hands, my sight, and no longer affecting my pockets.

My husband and I were very interested in buying a Mercedes Sprinter van but before taking the plunge we decided to rent a 2011 Sprinter. I am very glad we did because I would NOT want to own this vehicle due to MAJOR safety considerations. Also, we had a VERY poor experience with one of the service advisor of this dealership. This is our story: We were traveling through Southern Oregon and were climbing one of the steep grades of I-5 heading into Grants Pass. Suddenly, we heard a loud “pop” and the Sprinter suddenly lost power. We were in the left lane and had to quickly try to get over. We barely missed getting rear ended by a car and then a big rig. It was terrifying. We managed to get off the Interstate near Hugo, Oregon. We didn’t know it at the time but the Sprinter’s computer deliberately put the van into “limp mode”. This means that the vehicle has a fraction of the power it normally has. When we found a safe place to park, we pulled over and contacted Mercedes Emergency Roadside Assistance. They told us that it would be 2 hours before a tow arrived to take the incapacitated van and us to the M-B Dealership in Medford. We called the M-B Dealership in Medford and let them know what was happening. While we were waiting for the tow, my husband accessed information on the internet and learned that this was likely to be an issue with the Sprinters turbocharger connection to the engine. There seems to be a variety of ways that the turbocharger on this van fails. Some of these failures result in expensive maintenance issues BUT some of them make this van dangerous to drive. My husband told the M-B what he thought the issue might be with this van. Turns out that he was basically correct. We asked the Service Advisor to let us know what was happening with the repair as soon as she knew anything. Not ONCE did this Service Advisor contact us to tell us what was happening in the subsequent 2 days. We were fortunate enough to call and reach another Service Advisor who kindly told us that the problem WAS the connection between the Turbo and the Sprinter’s engine and that it would take about 4 hours to repair.I later called the Service Manager and tried to figure out if there was a reason why the Service Advisor never bothered to return our calls. Of course, the Service Manager never called me back. Given the reputation M-B has for superior customer service, I was a little perplexed at this situation but later came to the conclusion that if you are frequently dealing with unhappy M-B vehicle owners, you probably learn not to return phone calls. In summary, I was so upset at this life threatening experience and the callous way the Service Advisor treated us that I would never buy a Mercedes vehicle and I will do what I can to warn anyone to stay away from the Sprinter van.

My car, the GL450 4matic, has had steering column replaced, a recall for other same year 2008 GL450, but for some reason the recall did not apply to my particular vehicle in that year... Electrical between the lift gate and passenger windows and moonroof have gone out and been repaired more than once. Air sacs & front suspension both failed and replaced. All of this by 60,000 miles. My husband’s 2009 sl63 AMG has also had air suspension issues including needing to replace hoses that the mechanic said Mercedes is famous for. The coolant keeps disappearing and seems to be mixing with the oil through the head gasket on a car with 40,000 miles. Not only is this the worst craftsmanship Ive experienced, the dealership and service departments could not be worse in their customer service or concern to fix any problems. I would love to join anyone in holding Mercedes responsible for these repairs.

I cannot express in words my disappointment and disgust in my recent experience with Mercedes-Benz. I will never own another model. It is certainly not what I would expect from a luxury car or a first-class dealership. I researched for several weeks before choosing to purchase and finally deciding on the GLA. The fact that it was a Mercedes made the decision easier for me as I knew it would be a car that would be flawless and have unmatched resale value. I purchase a new 2016 GLA 250 on July 18, 2016. After driving my brand new GLA for only 2 weeks, I took it in for an unusual wind noise coming from the drivers side window. I trusted that because the car was sold to me with an obvious factory default, the dealership would make every effort to remedy this problem and ensure customer satisfaction. I was heartbroken to be told that it could not, and would not, because the noise was due to the way the car was factory-made and attempting to do any repairs would void the extended warranty that I had purchased. To date, no one from the dealership or Mercedes-Benz has contacted me or made an attempt to remedy this situation. Unfortunately, because of this experience, this will be the first and last Mercedes-Benz I will ever own. The unfortunate thing for Mercedes-Benz of Beaumont, whether they realize it or not, is that my husband is a bank president in a small town about 25 miles west of Beaumont, that has three locations, and I work in a thriving school district in a town 30 miles east of Houston. Between the two of us, we know a great deal of people. We know first-hand, about customer service and how vital it is to a business, large or small. We intend to tell everyone we know of our horrendous experience with that dealership. To add insult to injury, I have since received an email indicating that I have received new inquiries on my credit, which may lower my credit score. It did indeed change my credit score by significantly dropping it several points. The report details show they are all due to inquiries from Mercedes Benz. After contacting MBUSA by phone and in writing, this is the response I have received: Hi Pam, thanks for your patience. Your comments have been shared with our colleagues at MBUSA and we regret to hear of your continued dissatisfaction. Our colleagues advise, that they have already confirmed their position with regards to your vehicle. For this reason, they will not be making further contact with you at this stage. We appreciate your understanding. Kind regards, your Mercedes-Benz Social Media Team. I have started the process to cancel my extended warranty and will be selling my GLA as soon as possible. I have reviewed the GLA on several websites unfavorably and plan to file a report with the Better Business Bureau regarding the horrendous customer service at Mercedes-Benz of Beaumont. For a company known for first class customer service and satisfaction, you should be embarrassed to have colleagues such as those at MB-Beaumont in your employ. I have since read countless reports of the same wind noise from other owners on various websites. DO NOT PURCHASE A GLA!!! As for me, I will NEVER drive another Mercedes. There are plenty of other luxury models to choose from.

There is a manufacturer defect at 57,700 miles. Premature failure of the balance shaft gear due to manufactured with poorly hardened metal. Mercedes Benz refused any help whatsoever for the $5,000 to $7,000 repair. If you own a 2003-2010 Mercedes Benz, better start saving your money up for the repair bill! Mercedes Benz says to Navy service member: We here at Mercedes Benz want to thank you for your service but since you arent the original owner and you havent had your car serviced at a Mercedes Benz dealer, we cannot participate financially. Wow! They cannot stand behind their product or the Mercedes Benz name either. They just hide behind a line of **! We just bought the car 9 months ago. I havent really had a chance to get it serviced at the dealer until the manufacturer defect showed up!

I bought this car with 3k miles on it from Mercedes Manhattan. At the time of purchase it was 5 months old. The first 2 years were great. The third year the problems started. I have probably had every hose, spark plug, brakes, tires and many other items replaced. This is now my 4th year owning it and for the last 7 months it has literally been in the shop every single month. The check engine light comes on every other week at this point. I called Mercedes corporate and they told me to keep bringing it into the shop! Really??! A $100k car and they tell me to just keep getting it fixed! Absolutely useless! I will be switching brands!

Happy Saturday evening. My prayer is that Mr. Stephen Cannon reads this email and as president and CEO works to resolve this problem. I own a 2006 R 350. My problems started with the suspension air parts that cause the car to look as if it has a flat tire, when it doesnt. It looks as if the tire-rods or shocks have failed. With this problem, when one goes bad and you fix it, the other automatically goes bad, so you MUST change BOTH sides. This is not a cheap repair. Actually, nothing about MB is a cheap repair. Once I had that done, the CAM shaft went bad. For this my car has been in the shop for the past 3.5 months. Now after practically rebuilding the engine, the problem is still not resolved. It cant be resolved, because all the parts were manufactured bad so when you replace one part something else goes bad. Ive found online that most if not all of the 06 and 07 R class models have had this same problem, MB is aware and have not recalled the cars. Over $6000 worth of new parts and labor, yet my car is still not fixed. These cars or at least mine should be recalled and the owners should be reimbursed for this literal pain and suffering. I have been terminated from my job and unable to get another because I dont have transportation. This was not my first MB. I have had 4, but this certainly may be my last if I cannot get any resolution to this. I have sent 2 emails. This is the 3rd to MB and was assigned a case manager. She called me 2 times. Ive called her more than 10 times. All I get is a person on the phone that says, I see that you left her a message. Is this the number where you can be reached? I say yes and that ends the call. Ok she will call you today. I attempted to reach MB via a BBB complaint, but they arent affiliated. LOST WITH A R-CLASS LEMON. Its sad that you dont acknowledge that these cars are lemons, but then again you do acknowledge, because you have discontinued the model. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE.

I have a 2009 Smart car and the paint top clear coat is peeling off all over the car. If you google this issue, you will see that many of the Smart cars have paint issues, especially the red ones (which mine is). I called the Smart headquarters and I was instructed to apply for the Goodwill out of warranty process. I went ahead and got the estimate from their approved Auto shop and submitted that. I received a call today from Adam from the Mercedes-Benz headquarters and my request to have the car painted was denied. I saved for 3 years to purchase that car new. It now looks terrible and Mercedes-Benz has to know that this is an issue with their Smart cars. So, now I ride around in a crappy looking car. When people ask me how I like my Smart car, I take them for a walk around my car and then inform them that Mercedes-Benz will not back this issue up. I am very disappointed with their customer service. You would think that it would make more sense for them to fix the problem, versus me riding around in a crappy looking Smart car. Clearly, they dont care about their customers and keeping them happy. I would never recommend any Mercedes-Benz dealership. I should have bought a Subaru based on their excellent customer service.

My daughter bought a Mercedes Benz four years ago and I co-signed on it. I have never made a payment on it and she has paid every month. Last winter when they were having some financial problems, she was late with a payment. From that point on every month that she is one minute late with her payment, although still in the 15 day grace period, we get harassment calls. They start at 8:00 in the morning and again at dinner time. This month, she made a payment on the 7th and they are still calling every day, twice a day to both of us and it is the 28th. What the hell is the matter with you people? Financial Services lost a payment in May and it took them four months to find it. In the meantime, they are calling every day for that May payment that they already had. I have never seen such Mafia techniques in any company in all my 69 years not to mention a poorly run financial department that cannot keep track of the payments that are made and lose some of them and then start harassing customers for their own mistakes. I would never buy a Mercedes Benz product just based on your financial services harassment tactics. There is no reason for this kind of treatment. I intend to contact every consumer complaint organization I can find and send them a copy of this letter online, offline, by mail, and any other way possible.

The driver seat MB-Tex upholstery failed in two places very quickly. $1100 repair. At about 100,000 miles the car would not start. The electronic ignition system had to be replaced for $2000. It had Takata airbags so my wife refused to drive it while we waited a year or so for them to be replaced. While waiting, the passenger door lock stopped working so that the door would not open. $1000 repair. I bought my 2016 C300 Mercedes approx. six months ago. Three months after I bought it I started hearing a beeping noise that is coming from the engine when its turned off. The beep last 2-3 seconds and happens every 6 seconds. The dealer initially told me theyve never heard of something like this but after I showed them my google search they said theyd look into it for me. Today I sent them a video of the noise and they said that its coming from the AC equalizing pressure which is normal. Im very frustrated because Ive never had a car that makes any noise like this. We purchased this Mercedes and expected to be getting a well-built car. We are very disappointed in the quality and that Mercedes expects us to just live with this noise because its normal.

Towards the end of May 2013, I went to Mercedes Benz in Durban Old Fort Road. I wanted to book my car (2003 - S320 CDI) for minor repair and service. The service adviser Zain ** spoke to me and explained that the workshop is busy and that I should return on the 5th of June 2013. I explained to him that receptionist (the lady that does the booking) said that there was space for my vehicle. Zain insisted that I return on the 5th of June and so I obliged. On the 31st May 2013 I took my car for steam cleaning and body wash.On the 5th of June 2013, I returned to Mercedes Benz Durban to have my car repaired and serviced. I was attended to again by Zain. I explained to him that I was unhappy with the way my car was idling; it was idling rougher and louder than normal. There was also a small rattling noise in the engine compartment when listened to with a technical ear; I myself am a diesel technician by profession though I am retired. I told him about the car having a lack of power on takeoff points and smoking when going up hills. I also mentioned that he should attend to the fault that they had diagnosed in August 3-8 2012. Zain, the service adviser, started the car and tried to listen to the noises I had complained about. He said he did not hear any noise, and asked me where am I hearing the noise. I said that the noise he is hearing is exactly what I am complaining about. He insisted that there was no abnormality. At this point I had to tell him that this is my car and it is an S Class. It does not sound like this normally. He then wrote on the job card, Rattling noise in the engine, in a way that showed that he was not taking my complaint seriously. I then told him that the noise is not inside the engine but in the the engine compartment. He then asked me to relax, the technician will diagnose the fault; I must just sign the job card. I signed the job card and left in hope that all the issues that I had raised would be dealt with.A week later I received a call from Zain. He told me that they had diagnosed the problem that was giving me concern. He said that the EGR Valve needed to be replaced and that it is the cause of the idling abnormality I had noticed and it also causes lack of power on takeoff points and smoking when going up hills. I was happy with the response he had given me and asked him if my insurance would be able to replace that for me. He told me that he had already spoken to my insurance company and they said that they only repair the engine not anything outside the engine. I told him that it was fine, he should go ahead and have my car fixed at my expense. Two weeks later I received a call from Zain. This time he called to tell me that my cars engine had packed up while parked at the car park after the EGR Valve had been replaced and the car was left and ready for collection. They said I should come and have a look at it. When I got there, the car was on the ramp, the sump was off and smashed and one bearing cap was left on the floor. Rian, the Group Leader, accused me of having the car fixed before it came to Mercedes Benz in Durban because it was very clean underneath the car and he also suspected that it had been in an accident. I told him that I had never been in an accident and my car has never been fixed since the last time I had brought it in August 2012. I told him that my car was clean because it was steam cleaned on the 31st on May, Just before it came to them. I asked him why the sump was open; he said the assessor asked him to have it opened. He further told me that they have found 3 main bearing caps loose in the engine. I asked him if the checking of loose bearings was also an instruction from the assessor. He didnt respond to that question. He only said that the person who was working on the engine forgot to torque it properly. I asked him how was it possible for my car to travel 95,000 km with loose bearing bolts? He then said he wanted proof that my car was steam cleaned underneath. I then went to the service manager, Gerald, and told him that I dont understand how it is possible for the car to smash its engine while parked in the car park with the key not in the ignition. For me with my technical background, it sounded impossible. I also mentioned to him that Rian had made very serious accusations and that those accusations can lead to very serious consequences. I asked him to please do a full internal investigation in order to find out what really happened to my car.A few days later, I received a call from a person who told me that he is the service foreman. He said that the Dealer principal was not prepared to take full responsibility for my car though it was damaged in his premises and he didnt give any reason as to why that was so. He also said that if I want to discuss anything regarding my car I should speak to Zain, the service adviser. He then hung up the phone. This was very stressful for me and I thought that maybe they wanted to see proof that my car was indeed steam cleaned underneath. So I went to the car wash where my car was steam cleaned and they gave me a copy of the receipt. I took this receipt to Zain, the service adviser, and he took it and told me that he would pass it on to management. Seeing that everything had come to a standstill at Mercedes and management was now unwilling to help uncover the truth about my car I remembered that Rain had told me that my cars EGR Valve was replaced by an elderly black man. If I am not mistaken his name is Enock. I found out from other workers that, that man is unqualified, was not supposed to have worked on my car. I confronted management about this and requested a full report from every person who was involved with my car while in their premises before it was reported damaged. I also requested a report from the person who physically removed and replaced the EGR Valve. I never received a response regarding those requests.I heard that Enock, the mechanic who removed and replace the EGR Valve in my car, was taken in for cross examination by management but none of the findings of this were shared with me. I also heard that the workers were threatened that if they shared any information with me that they would be fired. So whenever I go to Mercedes Benz, everybody who is an employee at the workshop avoids me even though I am a customer there. I have phoned the service manager on numerous occasions and I have left messages for him but he did not respond to any of those calls. I then wrote a letter to him. In this letter I expressed that I have been trying to get a hold of him unsuccessfully for the whole week. I have since written three letters to them and have only received a letter from their lawyers as a response to my letters. I have enclosed all my correspondence with Mercedes Benz Durban.I am frustrated with the service that I have received from Mercedes Benz Durban and its management team. It has very little regard for its customers. It is not the first time that I have received terrible service from them. Last year when I sent my car in, in August 3-8 2012, I reported to them that the Mercedes Benz tool kit that is standard in the car as well as the pay as you driver device is now missing from my car and that the insurance company has tracked the device as last being operational in their premises during the period that it was with them. I was told that they do not know what I was talking about and no investigation was conducted even though I gave Zain proof of this from my insurance company (Please contact me for more information regarding this)I would really appreciate it if this matter could be investigated and for this issue regarding my car to be resolved quickly and amicably because I am now without a car and as a result I am very stressed.

In 2009, we bought a 2002 Mercedes ML-500. We are the 2nd owner of the car. A few years following the purchase of the car, every time when it rains, our car is leaking water everywhere, from the front light, sunroof, floor board to fuse box, and back light from the back seat. We have our two and a half years old son sit in the back seat; he got wet all over. We took the car to the Mercedes dealer. They want us to pay $600-$700 to check to see what going on. But the thing is, a Mercedes car never leaks, and also they are the best car brand in the world. Our friend has an older model car than us but never has that problem. Anyone has the same problem as mine who can give me some info?

We own a 2009 C300, with 4matic transmission. The car started to make a grinding noise which was being emitted from the center of the car. The car only had 60,000 miles at that point. We took the car to our family mechanic, and he told us it sounded like it was coming from the transmission and he advised we take the car to the dealer. We took the car to Mercedes of Danbury CT. They told us we needed a completely new transmission, and the price was $7,500. We told them it was outrageous that the car needed a new transmission at 60K miles. They told us the warranty only goes until 50K and there was nothing they could do.The dealer told us the car was probably not taken care of, but we took very good care of it. We had Mercedes of Nanuet (the original dealer) look up the records to prove that the transmission service had been performed right on time, and that the car was very well taken care of. In a desperate attempt, we called Mercedes USA. We talked to a regional manager and told him the whole story. The result was they were willing to discount the repair to $6000. We told them this is unacceptable. Given the car had been well serviced, the issue indicates an engineering problem with the transmission. A quick google search will show that many people have the same issue with the transmission. After Mercedes refused to do any better, we took the car back to our family mechanic. He opened up the transmission, replaced the bearing that had failed, and charged us a total of $1,000. In his opinion the transmission has a design flaw. You would think a luxury automobile manufacturer such as Mercedes Benz would treat you well. Obviously that is not the case. We will be selling the car, and will never purchase a Mercedes Benz again.

I have a 2004 E320. It has what appears to be a cracked left side fuel sender. Or so it seems!? This is a common problem on E class models - as Im more than sure you know. Campaign 2008-020001 covers this exact problem on 211 models 2003-2006, which my car is. However, when my VIN was run at the dealer, it is supposedly not covered!? The service manager tells me it’s ridiculous, that it’s again more than obvious it’s the same problem or defect. Yet not covered. He suggested I call Mercedes and after an “investigation”, I was told nothing would be covered!? An investigation that included or predominately was decided over, the fact that I have stopped regularly servicing my car at the dealer! My car looks and runs like new other than this problem. In fact I researched it and found the recall because I wanted it perfect as to trade in or sell and replace it! So Mercedes wont cover a problem that has 1,000s of complaints pending with the NHTSA. I cannot fill my gas tank because if I do, the backseat (driver’s side) fills with fumes and my children complain. I pulled the backseat in the service area parking lot, and we opened the hatch and saw the gas sitting in the sender (see attached pic). It was like we were looking at the pictures attached to the campaign!!! Yet not covered!?I have owned 3 Mercedes Benz in my lifetime. I can honestly say that I firmly believe they are the best constructed, most reliable, and sharpest looking cars on the road. I have spent years telling everyone I know, anyone that would listen, that once you own a Mercedes Benz, you cant own any other car. And I routinely argue with my BMW loving best friend (a luxury car dealer) over which is the better vehicle. My car has reached 125k. Its time for a new Mercedes. If any part of you believes I will ever buy another Mercedes when the company will not in good faith fix my vehicle that is so obviously having a problem that is manufacturing defect, then you are out of your mind!Im no idiot. I realize if you have even bothered to read this far into the letter, the company could probably care less about one consumer. But you will have lost a truly faithful customer who wouldve never bought another brand. And whom will exhaust my fingers and wear out my iPad on every blog, website, complaint site, NHTSA hotline, and anywhere else I can to be sure that I will deter as many people as I can from ever buying a Mercedes because a multibillion dollar company didnt stand by their product, and fix a maybe $1,500 problem. If you took the time to read this and take the time to compare my symptoms and pics to that of the campaign (and Im sure millions of complaints), then anyone with any power and want to do the right thing will help me and keep me on team Mercedes!

I leased a brand new vehicle GLA250 that has a random ghost acceleration that cannot be fixed. The front differential had to be completely replaced at 4,700 miles on it. Then the tires went bald at 5,000. Then the gym service manager Mark ** says the cars drivetrain can’t handle potholes and these types of problems are common with Mercedes Benz. Their insurance recommendation also refuses to cover this car. It’s been a nightmare as I also ran over the neighbors child as the car suddenly accelerated. Was told to leave the car running for 2 minutes before driving which obviously made no difference. The only excuse is they cannot replicate so they cannot help.Their insurance company says it makes no difference whether they can replicate the issue and should pull the unsafe vehicle from use. But instead they sent this email notifying me that they won’t help or resolve or even respond to the safety concerns “no guarantee that assistance will be provided.” Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is currently reviewing your request concerning the 2016 GLA250W4 bearing vehicle identification number **. We want to set a clear expectation that there is no guarantee that assistance will be provided. Our review process typically takes 4 to 6 weeks; during that time we will be evaluating a review of all repair orders, the number of down days related to those repairs, the overall repair history and your individual state’s statutes.

As a first time lease owner of my fist Mercedes C-class this was a huge disappointment. Prepaid for 2 services at the beginning of the lease just to find out that they expire 2 years after and not by the end of the lease how they made me think. Was only less than a month after my expiration that I took car for service B and now on top of my already paid $500 I must pay again. This is beyond dishonest and most terrible customer treatment Ive ever encountered. Called the office and spoke to Juan who was only able to get a partial credit for the service I now have to pay for the second time. How would you like paying for service twice? Also, on the phone with Mercedes customer service I was blackmailed by Juan (phone number: **) not to write my honest review about this situation or they would take away even the partial credit they just gave me that only partially covers my second charge for the same service I already paid for when I signed up for the lease! It was so unprofessional and disgusting to be blackmailed to stay away from writing this honest review that made me even more compelled to do so because I want to warn all future unsuspected new customers of how they will be treated as well. I will not be buying my future vehicles from them and so is my family. I only want to give my business to places that truly appreciate their customers and with lots of great competitors out there it will be easy to do. You dont want to be tricked, lied to, especially as a first time customer into something that will screw you later and they wont even care about it. Everyone should know before becoming a customer of theirs that they treat their customers in the worst possible manner without any care and with great amount of unprofessionalism by blackmailing them to speak the truth. Did not expect this coming from this car maker of this magnitude but be warned and stay away.

This is an update. I called Fletcher Jones Mercedes Newport Beach today, January 17, 2012, because our 2011 E350 car stereo still does not work properly after having it in for an extended diagnostic evaluation from January 10, 2012 to January 14, 2012. They did finally watched and listened to the 5 YouTube videos that we filmed documenting the problem with the factory installed stereo. However, the service department is again denying that there is anything wrong with the stereo in our car.It was the second visit to Fletcher Jones for the same problem in two months and the sixth total visit in 8 months to a Mercedes dealership attempting to get warranty repair on the stereo speaker wiring. At one point today, we were hopeful that maybe the Fletcher Jones service department would actually do something about our issue when one of the Fletcher Jones employees, who had seen the videos, stated to us that she agrees that the audio is certainly clear enough to be able to hear the speakers are cutting in and out. However, it sounds as if her understanding of Mercedes corporate policy is that the Mercedes service technicians have to hear it themselves live in person as it is happening for Mercedes HQ to accept it as proof and allow the warranty repair. Our 5 videos are audio and visual proof. However, the service technicians continue to deny being able to hear the problem despite having our car at Mercedes dealers six times for the exactly the same problem that they say does not exist.Mercedes Benz warranties dont seem to be worth the paper they are printed on and it appears as if Fletcher Jones Mercedes Newport Beach only cares about selling more new cars. They are not at all concerned about service department issues.

NEW ML 350 Bluetec - You will never get the fuel consumption indicated by the on-board computer. It consistently understates consumption by more than 1 litre/100 km (or 11.4%) - this had been verified by MBSA. This software problem, as well as the stop/start function that only works 50% of the time, had been reported nearly 2 years ago to them via the respective dealers. 6 Months ago they confirmed that a software patch will be developed to fix the wrong calculation. After numerous follow-up emails, Allis feedback is now that their R&D advice that the current calculation of average fuel consumption is within the design tolerances of the ML... What a big tolerance for a product range costing nearly R1m and claimed to be the Best or Nothing. I have to accept that the ad hoc working of the stop/start function is also within the design tolerance of the ML.

In my opinion, the forward collision avoidance system (AEB) in my 7 mo. old 2018 Mercedes C300 SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK. I special ordered the car with the 997 pkg that includes, Driver Assistance, BAS+, and Distronic. I have been close enough to stopped or slowed down vehicles on the highway, that it should have at least alerted me (beeped) if not started to auto brake. During my 8,000 miles of driving, I have had cars cut in front of me or turn in front (as they went through a red light) and there has been no alert much less any braking. In addition, I was surprised to find that this vehicle apparently DOES NOT HAVE rear cross traffic alert other than perhaps from 2 feet away. That is, if I am backing up and there is traffic coming from the side, there is no alert! Even worse, if there is a pedestrian BEHIND the car or walking behind it, there is no alert other than if they are 1-2 away which is much too close to be able to stop. Granted, the rear camera works fine, but if my head is turned to look back as I am backing up, I cannot see the screen on the dash. The MB manual states: “If active brake assist detects that there is a risk of collision, you will BE WARNED VISUALLY AND ACOUSTICALLY. If you do not react AUTONOMOUS BRAKING CAN BE INITIATED IN CRITICAL SITUATIONS.” And further that “autonomous braking works at 4-124mph for moving objects and 4-31 mph for stationary objects.” I have made at least 4 visits to two different MB dealers and all they will tell me is that “their computer shows no problem.” They are unwilling to drive the car to attempt to simulate when AEB should work. All of these are common features on many $35,000 vehicles in 2018; I have driven some of them and the alerts and auto braking + rear cross traffic and rear pedestrian alert works very well. MB corporate is incredibly uncooperative which is truly shocking for a company that prides itself on its safety record and reputation.

The admiration of Mercedes BENZ is a love affair of decades. The ML350 is currently ready to transport me to jazz club in Las Vegas. The auto ‘romance ‘ began in 1972 with a Fiat in Chicago. Yes! Snow, ice and one brave or silly girl. The ride, breadth, and finesse of driving is still as fresh as day one. Mercedes has my head, hand at the wheel and heart all in one. The love of the drive flows in my veins. May you travel an open road!

First of all, I wish I had known about this site when my incident first too
First of all, I wish I had known about this site when my incident first took place. I just want to share my experience with everyone so that people can be aware when purchasing a Mercedes Benz. I plan on speaking out on every single forum out there, and if it can help even one person, then I will be satisfied. I live in Los Angeles and purchased a brand new E350 in 2007. Just a few month after the purchase (around 10,000 miles on the odometer? ), I was driving down the freeway when the car came to a sudden stall. The engine completely died, and I could not get it started back up. I was in the second lane from the inside, and the freeway was full of drivers speeding at 70-80 mph. Unable to get out of my car, I watched vehicles behind me careening to a sudden stop or jerking to rapidly change lanes. It was truly a frightening experience.I called 911 to report the incident then AAA to get a tow truck. The CHP arrived within about 15 minutes to help divert traffic away from my car as I was at a dead stop in the middle of a 5-lane freeway. The officers alerted me that it is too dangerous to stand still in the middle of the freeway and that they needed to immediately move my car off the freeway. Since they didnt have towing capability, the only way for them to do that was for them to push the car from the back with their squad car while I steered towards the nearest exit. Without getting too dramatic, I will say that this was probably the most frightening experience of my life. Luckily, no one was injured, and the car just suffered a lot of scratches on the rear bumper as a result of it being pushed by the police car.I wrote to MBUSA and explained the entire experience plus access to the police records. They offered absolutely no sympathy. They didnt even offer a nice gesture by offering to fix the scratches which would have cost approximately a few hundred dollars - pocket change to them. They didnt see any seriousness to the incident. I could have been seriously injured, and I could have caused serious injury to other motorists on the freeway that day. The message that they were sending to me was clear: I am an isolated incident to them, so I do not matter at all. Theyre a big, powerful company with millions of other buyers, so of course they dont care. How nice. Im the familys third generation of MB driver, and I will most certainly be the last.

My car is a 2013 Mercedes smart car. It is without saying absolutely wonderful on gas in town and on the highway. It has sunroof, electric windows, back windshield wiper, and heated seats. I wanted a car that was small but safe. I watched several crash videos and consumer reports before purchasing and paying cash. I get excited every time I drive it. It has an awesome amount pick up. It can also be drove manually and gets great gas mileage. However, I would include a simpler manual for how to diagnose all the electrical untangle figures that pop up on the dash and a meter or tool to reset. It has no place jack or spare tire too. But I am incredibly pleased with my purchase.

I have replaced 3 tires on my C350 in the past 2 years or so. A blow out at 100km/hr on the highway and 2 tires that have bulges on the inside of the tire that needed to be replaced. I am told by a local tire specialist Fountain tire that I need to replace both tires on the rear and having spend a small fortune I am not prepared to do that. I was advised with low profile tires and the winters in Alberta that this is something I need to get used to and keep paying for replacement every couple of years. These are continental tires and I am considering changing brand and height profile of the tire... Pretty choke with being sold a 4matic that I love to drive but finding out the tires sold are not the right ones for our climate..

I have spent more than $60k for this car 2 years ago. I have 59k miles on the car. Last 3 months, I have engine light coming on on the dashboard. Took 3 times to local Lakeland dealer. Explained 1st time that it was just the software update requirement and paid $150. 2nd time was advised that there is lack of Blutec fluid which was wrong because there was no sign on the dashboard for that. 3rd was another reason, Problem with the oxygen sensor. The estimate to change the sensor is $950.At 3rd time I found the oil leak in my garage so the tech checked out and mentioned that the oil leak is from engine and it is 13 to 14 hours job to fix because top half of the engine needs to be removed. Total cost is $2600 for this job. Total $3500 expense after paying 60k for the luxury car. I have several other cars like Chevy Venture and Lexus 470 and more than $100000 car and took to the dealer for just oil change or tire change. Ive been working with the HQ in NJ to get it covered under warranty because it is just 9000 over the limit of 50k warranty manufacturer provide. Is this a red signal to buy a luxury car and take to the dealer more often because it has more electronics?? Or is it just Mecedes c350???

Since its an interference type motor the Benz certified mechanic recommended replacing the motor. Poorly built delicate vehicle. Ill never buy another Mercedes. Ill buy American next time.Updated on 10/06/2017: The new motor goes into limp mode about every 500 miles. Mechanic replaced an egr sensor but didnt fix problem. I have no faith to take it to dealer because two of them, (one near Boston and other in Novi, Michigan) have tried to get out of honoring warranty. DO NOT BUY A SPRINTER!

I buy a GL 450 2013. I was happy until 12,000 miles the car began to vibrate rudder. I went to guarantee and the rotors were damaged and they change. They said the warranty did not cover. Well.. they change!! Now I have 38,000 and again were damaged. It is impossible that every 15000 miles the rotors are damaged, and I have to pay $ 2,000 without the brake pads. I am upset because I had Ford, Cadillac, and Dodge, and had never seen anything like that. If someone with the same problem I would like to know.

I have owned several Mercedes vehicles through the years -all of the SUV size. In July 2013, I decided to downsize to the E Wagon which uses the low-profile tires. I have had nothing but bad experiences with flats and bubbles after driving the car for long periods of time. I am on my 9th tire change! Thankfully I have the tire insurance, but Ive asked Mercedes to change my tires to a better quality tire other than the continental tires they keep putting on my car and they refuse. I feel this is a safety issue, especially since I have two handicapped children that I drive around in my vehicle back and forth to school. On Friday this past week, my tire pressure suddenly went low on the driver front side. I drove immediately to the dealer and had him check the tires. They said there was nothing wrong with my tire and said my tire pressure gauge was off. They also said they checked all my tires and they were good. I took a ride on the weekend, approx. 80 miles and upon return home, late on Sunday night, my tire on the passenger front started to deflate. I called roadside assistance and they had to come out after midnight to change my tire. I went directly to the dealer the next morning and they said not only did they have to change that tire but the two rear tires have bubbles on them now. I asked to speak to a manager and they said there is nothing wrong with the tires, that its a problem of the road. Every time I come to this dealer, the waiting room is filled with tire issues and the service managers are telling all of us the same b.s.I think the Mercedes company should be investigated on this issue. Luckily I have the insurance, but this has taken many hours away from me at work and my family having to drive the half hour to this dealer all the time to fix this car. Not to mention how uneasy I feel driving this car is very hazardous. I cant get out of the lease, and upgrade. I tried, but I would lose so much money on the trade. It is not fair. I need help!

This experience is from Finland. Last year, we purchased a new MB180B and the next day we got the car, I had to get it back to the dealer. I had problems starting the car, and when I finally got it going, it was twitching forcefully. When the engine became warmer, the problem was gone. At the workshop, they started to study the car, but nothing was wrong according to the car computer. But the guy from the workshop said that he thinks there are problems with a component called crankshaft sensor. So, he ordered a replacement component, but then things started to be really strange. The factory said that they will not deliver that component, and I asked why. They told me that this particular component is on the do not deliver list. Finally, they told us that there will be a new different component as a replacement.Well at this point, I made a claim against this and the reason is that a manufacturer is not allowed to deliver cars or any constructions if they know that there is a failed component in it. Or at least they are supposed to inform the customer of this possible problem and then he can decide what to do with it. Anyway, after a few days, I got the car back and now everything is okay, and so on. It wasnt. The same problem came back. The car was back in the work shop, and this has gone now several times. At the moment the car is at the work shop. I already told them earlier that they should get me a new car to replace this one or give me my money back. They told me that is totally an unreasonable claim. A new car which doesnt work, is it so unreasonable to expect that new cars should be okay? Also, during this experience, it has been really hard to get in contact with anyone. The dealer is totally worthless. The car importer is really hard to deal with and the manufacturer in Germany doesnt answer in any messages. The first one I sent half a year ago. Now, I have a lawyer to take care this, and I also took contact with LRQA (Lloyds) who have certified their ISO9001 based management system.Of course, I am angry about the car itself, but also because of this habit of delivering cars included with components that they have themselves declared on not-to-deliver. I was told by them that it is totally normal to replace these kinds of components during a normal service. Actually it is not. It is a hidden/silent recall, and that is against the law and against the ethics as well. We will see what happens. But I would like to give a warning for all possible car buyers of this kind of actions from Mercedes-Benz.

My name is Sibongile **, I have a serious concern Mercedes Benz Constantia Kloof Roodepoort, Gauteng. Firstly: I brought A class 160 classic Mercedes Benz only for fixing of the starter, they made a quotation and we agreed on the price which was R15 177.10 and I paid the deposit of R10 000. Surprisingly when I call them to make follow up, Ive been told that the car is losing power. They assume that the problem is on the petrol pump which need to be replaced. Again, they did second quote of R24 583.30. When I went to collect the car, there was another fault of sensor which need to be replaced. Again, the price went up to R32 797.50. The mechanic Jan told me that when they test drive the car the car loses the power again.I called them to find out if the car is okay but they asked me to come to the workshop they want to show me something, they told me that there is other faults in the car that involved ABS or Computer box, the car still giving them same problem of the power. Firstly Mercedes refused to diagnose the car and find all the problems in the car, they do it one by one which I dont understand. Before fixing my car they were supposed to give me the full diagnosis report because there are the specialists but they failed to do so, they told me that the mechanic does not allow that. They are using assumptions all the time. I am frustrated and running short of cash. I might lose my car, even now the car is still with them. Please intervene on the matter. I am so frustrated and running out of cash.

M-benz will hurt you. After my wife having a major electronic failure came
M-benz will hurt you. After my wife having a major electronic failure came home quite shaken just after leasing the Mercedes Benz sl63 AMG, I had the car checked. They said there were no error messages in the computer to collaborate her statements of the lights and the gauges going crazy inside and out of the car, with numerous error codes coming up. We later found out Mercedes Benz has their on board computer set to reboot with critical failure there by wiping the memory clean of the event. After other numerous electronic failures and not getting Mercedes to fix or even acknowledge them, even with photos and video, we were almost killed one night on the open highway on Oct 7 2013 when the same event that happened to wife finally occurred with me in the car. When the electronics went on rampage and freak-out lights flashing, bells dinging, flashing error codes and emergency message causing me to try to get the car on the shoulder of the road, I struck a piece of tire left on the road probably by a truck. It took the whole front of the car out. After 6 weeks of waiting for our car I called Fletcher Jones in Nevada. They told me they could not get the error codes to clear but not to worry, they were going to get it cleared up. 2 weeks later we got the car. I asked what it took to get the codes cleared up, he smiled and said the tech crashed the on board computer and it reset itself. When we drove the car back home from Vegas we had transmission trouble and error codes. I called Fletcher Jones in Las Vegas Nevada. They told me to take the car to Fletcher Jones in Ontario, 15 miles from our home in Verdemont CA. They kept the car for a few days and when they returned it they said there was nothing wrong with the transmission and there were no error codes. After several trips back to the dealership, half of the time they would not take the car. They refused to keep it till it was fixed and they would call me when the part came in. Before the part came in we were informed that my father in-law was on his death bed. I called, explained the situation and asked if they could expedite the part so we could take the car back east. I was informed by party dial that their main tech guy, George, said the car was safe to take back east the way it was.On our way out to pa, when we reached Flagstaff we started to have problems with the trunk not closing and the trunk opening while driving on the highway. By St Louis we had electrical problems and the trunk would not lock or close after opening. We drove to pa with trunk wired shut. While in pa the car was at Mercedes 4 times in 5 weeks. We were forced to stay an extra week waiting for parts to come in. We were told that the electronics were screwed up in the front of the car. Just outside to Amarillo Texas the same thing happened with the electronics that caused the accident and damage to the front of the car in October 7 2013. This time we caught it on video. We almost made it to the side of the road just before the car stopped running and went dark. The car coasted to a stop. We had no cell reception. We waited in the car for awhile. Out of desperation I tried to start the car and it sprang to life like nothing happened. Thank god we got this on video. It DID not matter to Mercedes Benz when I sent the video to Fletcher Jones in Ontario. They said not to bring in the car, they would show the video and Mercedes Benz and get back to us. They never DID!!! So much for the mantra the best or nothing.

It has been a very reliable auto. I have always like this model. Its a sedan and I love sedans. I bought it used at a good price. It drives very smooth and has good gas mileage. It is roomy too. The controls are easy to use as well. I like the color and the low maintenance needed for the car. Very dependable, great for road trips. A friend hit a deer. The damage was severe and it kept on running. The only downfall to this car is the cost of parts and maintenance. The repair always recommend only using Mercedes parts from the manufacturer and there is a great difference in cost compared to some of other vehicles. Finding used parts is hard and cost more. Even the oil change cost more than other vehicles.

I purchased a 2014 ML350 Bluetec and had some problems with throttle responsiveness and transmission revving. After extensive technical servicing, the problem was not resolved. I decided to get rid of the vehicle and get another same model. Within weeks the exact same problem emerged. I contacted head office customer service to help resolve. They pushed it back to dealer who did everything they could however they still expected me to pay depreciation. There is a fundamental performance problem with this model. As a result, I had to get out of the first one where I took an out of pocket hit of $15,451.41 because of depreciation. Then I get into the same issue with 2nd model and as a result of having to get out of it much earlier than desired I am taking a depreciation hit of 23, 734.85. All in Mercedes is asking me to give them $39,186.26 because of a faulty product. This is my fundamental issue. They should be taking this vehicle off my hands without any penalty to me and working to retain my business. Why should I pay for manufacturer defect? I am not interested in paying another cent out of my pocket to resolve a Mercedes defect. I guess I will have to consider moving to Audi or BMW even though I like the ML product when it works properly. Its about the reasonableness principle and that is the foundation of any customer relationship.

I purchased an E class in 2008, and got the hard sell about the extended limited warranty from the salesman, so I purchased it for more than $3,500, believing what the finance manager told me that it would be refundable, if the vehicle was sold or traded in before the extended limited warranty went into effect. In December 2010, my husband decided to trade in the vehicle, because an illness prevented me from driving it, and I requested a refund of the warranty as the vehicles factory warranty would not expire until April 2012. The dealer referred me to Mercedes Benz USA and they told me that the warranty was not refundable, as the warranty only allowed me to cancel 60 days after I bought the brand new car with a 4 year factory warranty. I kept telling them that this did not make sense and the 60 day rule for the refund would logically begin 60 days after the extended warranty went into effect. Mercedes corporate absolutely refused to budge from their position, and have pocketed my $3,500, without doing anything for my money. I have been a loyal MB customer for 20 years, and have purchased 5 vehicles in that time frame, and I find it unacceptable that the big international Mercedes corporation found it necessary to keep my money.

2003-2006 E series Mercedes in fact a majority of MBZ in these years use a sensotronic braking system SBC provided by Bosch. It has a secret limited number of uses before the computer renders the car inoperable. There were tons of problems with these and Mercedes and Bosch placed a 10 year unlimited warranty on them. Well mine went out at 9 years and instead of replacing it, the dealer reprogrammed it as directed by Mercedes and Bosch to allow for more brake actuators insisting there was no need at that time to replace it. I voiced my concerns at that time as I already knew from 100s of other owners that this thing is a time bomb. Well it lasted 3 months beyond the warranty and failed. This part costs 50% of the total vehicle current value and my car is cherry. I contacted Mercedes and they told me to go pound sand in a professional manner of course. Second Mercedes and now LAST Mercedes, probably have 5 -10 more cars in my lifetime, they would probably all have been MBZ. This was a deliberate avoidance of making the right repair the first time knowing full well they just increased the cycle count based on our driving habits to get us out of warranty. Mercedes plan is to get all these cars off the road because they are accidents waiting to happen, huge liability tail risk. When these controllers fail you have virtually no brakes. My real anger comes from their blatant dodging of the warranty and second such poor customer service on a for the most part quality piece of equipment. The whole thing reeks of fraud pure and simple.

My car developed a water pump issue - it was changed at a dealership. 12 months later it developed the same problem but this time the dealer wanted £180.00 as a contribution because it needed a new pipe. It was then I discovered Mercedes Benz are having problems with water pumps. My car Mercedes Benz C200 CDI a 2011 model now requires its 3rd water pump. This could be an international problem Mercedes Benz are not going to admit

I would like to complain about an incident that I had with my Mercedes car
I would like to complain about an incident that I had with my Mercedes car and needed information is attached: copy of the car license including the chassis number, car owner name, car model, with the rest of the required data; pictures of the car after the incident to show the severity of the incident and to imagine the danger the passengers faced because of the weakness of the car body of the vehicle; picture of the car after the accident and after the body destruction of the car with the severity of the incidence and the fact that the air bags did not open at all which caused the passengers to suffer from extreme injuries; a scanned copy of the police report, including the part which declare the non opening of the air bag after previewing the police proof.First, weakness and negligence and recklessness and ill received of the complaints of clients, particularly the receptionist on the phone and example of this is the denial of the existence of customer service employee. After requesting to speak to the director, she transferred the call to the customer service employee in charge.Second, after examining the car at the workshop after the incident, there were specialists who refused to give a report about the situation of the car, and of deficiencies in the vehicle which caused the non opening of air bags which was extremely dangerous to the passengers. We require to have our rights back with direct compensation for the size of the injury to the passengers of the car in order not to damage the reputation of the company in Egypt or we will be forced to resort to the parent company abroad or to contact the legal authorities specialists in this matter to give us our rights. I require documented investigation with the staff of the company because of behaving in an inappropriate manner with the customers in a company such as Mercedes.

When I purchased my new car in 2005, I wanted it to be special. My initial thought was to purchase a Toyota Camry. But after test driving a Mercedes (just for fun), I convinced myself that if Toyotas were great cars, then Mercedes Benz would be an excellent car. I really thought that MB would have better engines. But now that my car is non-functional at less than 100,000 miles, I wish I would have stuck with my first instinct and bought a Toyota. After reading different class action lawsuits, I find this to be a common problem with several MB models. I realized MB cars are not as good as I thought or had claimed to be. I am very discouraged with engineering technology on this car. I can’t imagine paying almost the same amount I owe to repair the car. But I honestly don’t see myself purchasing another MB vehicle again. I hope for MB to take care of its customers, as I have heard other dealers such of Toyota, Jeep and Ford taking care of theirs. I want Mercedes to get me in a new car, fix my car or purchase it off from me.

2011 C class Mercedes - Car sounds like a helicopter (popping ,sputtering and vibrating) when initially started for 35 seconds. Mercedes claims it is a characteristic of the engine. Have been trying to resolve issue with Mercedes of Arlington and corporate for the past 1 1/2 years. If I had heard when 1st looking for car certainly would not have purchased. Very disappointed with Mercedes and would not buy another.

I bought a new Mercedes-Benz C 220 on 22-09-2015 but, unfortunately, the car after reaching my home garage which is 300 kms from Dealer Showroom is not able to drive through. Its front doors are noisy from day one & the wind screen is always full with moisture thus reducing the day/night visibility to 30%-40%. After continues complain I have received only mail & call but no technician has turned up till now. Also the website sources show that the particular VIN (**) belongs to C220 model & year of manufacture 2006. I am surprised whether I had purchased a new car or a used car? It seems to ask for a replacement.

I live in NH, purchased 2017 GLC 300 in the Spring and was told I would need winter tires (which I always need on my SUVs). Salesperson did not tell me I wouldnt be able to get snow tires for this car. The tires are run flats and the size is a rare run fast snow tire size. MB USA told me I could purchase regular snow tires, but then I would have to purchase a new wheel and tire for a spare at the cost of over $700 just for the spare! Even if I wanted to buy a spare, the car is designed for run flat tires only and there is no place to store the tire and no jack, etc. I told MB that I refuse to buy 5 regular snow tires, and lug the smelly spare around in the back of my car. Additionally, it would take up all the space that I use for luggage, groceries, etc. I am insisting on returning the car. I spent a lot of time considering a new SUV, and would have immediately taken the GLC 300 off the list if I had been informed of this situation. So, here I am in NH, living on a steep dirt road without snow tires.

I got a very nice Mercedes Benz new B Class - a demo vehicle that has less
I got a very nice Mercedes Benz new B Class - a demo vehicle that has less than 3k on it and its diesel. A reasonable price deal was agreed upon and according to the MB dealer, fuel filler would be sorted before collection. No chance. Two fuel flaps later and after they have collected (Greenoaks Slough) and put a chip on my windscreen, they cant fix it to get it fitting correctly. MB customer services wont do anything and say its the way the vehicle is designed. Yes. They do MB cars with bits that dont fit. This is my first MB, I am very pleased with the car but not the after sales. This is no better than a back street car lot with a second hand car salesman. I had a C class loan vehicle while they had a look at my vehicle and its fuel filler flap is just perfect. I know its a different model but the principle is the same. It also proves that MB cant do it right. Why, MB? Never again, Im afraid!

I bought one brand new diesel Mercedes 250 C-Class and I want to know is it
I bought one brand new diesel Mercedes 250 C-Class and I want to know is it standard safety feature in countries where they keep left to have a pull to left if you leave the steering wheel? I complained to them and they are always so nice that I could not complain strongly. Besides, their team convince me its wonderful. This one year my mental peace has gone and I am using antidepressants (I am a doctor) to keep my balance. I have lived in USA, UK, Australia. I know about high-end cars. Now I want your help. How to help the Germans to improve their car technology? I want to donate my car to them to improve their technology. No conditions applied. They should not feel ashamed because I am helping them so that so many other customers will be benefited.PS. First month servicing, they said alloy wheel bend is there (are they made of alloy or alumina?), and slowly, one of the tires developed one bulge. Later, 2 more. Please help me to improve the great GERMAN MERCEDES BENZ CARS. NO CONDITIONS APPLIED. I ABIDE BY MY LETTER.

After my car had A3 service at the Lonestar Mercedes-Benz dealership in Cal
After my car had A3 service at the Lonestar Mercedes-Benz dealership in Calgary, Canada on June 21, 2016, the car started an oil leak. The car was diagnosed of a problem with the dipstick seal on July 27. However, it wasnt the real problem after the second check up was done in August 4. The dealer told me that it was the oil cooler seal which is a completely different thing. The problem wasnt really solved since I found the car still had an oil leak the next day and had to send it back to the dealer again. The worst thing was when I picked up the car on August 10, 2016. There was a big crack found on the windshield which was not on the car when I dropped it off at the dealership. Jeff, a customer service mgr, immediately denied and said that it wasnt their responsibility without even investigating the problem thoroughly. I was told that they can only replace the windshield at my own cost, and has formed no room for negotiation. Followed by a conversation with Doug, an operation mgr, who insisted that they wouldnt take responsibility, but would like to share the cost. After a couple of hours of discussion, the thing turned out to a disagreement of what they offered as I strongly think my car was under the dealers roof when it was being repaired. The dealers must be responsible for the problem they caused. How come I have to pay the damage that I didnt do anything about! The issues just keep coming with this dealer. These guys hang up phones, and even impolitely terminated the conversation and left me alone in the office. I felt bullied when they said, We will only give you this offer whether you accept it or not, the offer is firm and unchanged. I dont need any offer. What I need is the full compensation for the damage occurred at the dealer shop!
