2022 Ford Shelby Raptor arrives with 525 hp and aggression
Posted On: January 23, 2022
Shelby American has released its take on the latest Ford F-150 Raptor, upping the levels of power and aggression. The 2022 Shelby Raptor gets a cold-air intake, new exhaust system, and aftermarket tune for its 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V-6, increasing output from the stock 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque to 525 hp and 610 lb-ft. Those are the same numbers Shelby extracted from a 2018 Raptor, which makes sense, as the engine is a carryover item. Shelby also made the Raptor look even more aggressive, adding hood scoops, a new grille with "Shelby" block lettering, a new front bumper with LED light bar, and a chase rack for the bed that can hold spare tires and has its own LED light bar. 2022 Ford Shelby Raptor The Raptor also gets Shelby-designed 18-inch wheels with 37-inch BF Goodrich KM3 Mud Terrain tires. The truck actually comes with six of these massive tires, including two bed-mounted spares. Note that Ford offers 37-inch tires as a factory option as well, from BF Goodrich's K02 series. The interior gets custom leather seats with red trim, plus lots of Shelby badging and a dashboard plaque with a serial number entered in the official Shelby Registry. Shelby hasn't published pricing for the 2022 Raptor, but the 2021 model started at $124,820, including the price of the donor Raptor. For about $10,000 less, you could also get a supercharged V-8 Shelby F-150 with 775 hp. Meanwhile, Ford is set to unveil its own V-8 Raptor R later this year. It's unclear if the factory model will match the Shelby's output, but it's nice to have options.

I just traded my 2013 Edge to get the new and improved 2015 Edge... Have the EcoBoost 4 cylinder in both and the 2015 improvement on the motor is great but the rest I am not impressed. It came with the cheap mats Ford installs and so I ordered the all weather mats for another 95.00 only to find the driver mat doesnt even go up under the pedals where most of the crud falls off... Whats up with that Ford. I sure some DS blamed his accident on a pedal catching on the mat. Next the driver seat is terrible uncomfortable with the seat portion bolster way higher than the seat so I carry my weight on the outside of my thighs. I am not a huge guy at 5-9 190 either... Other complaint is they shrunk the controls behind the steering wheel and I find them more difficult to use. They are quieter inside but overall I wish I had my trade money back and still driving my 2013 Edge... Not really any improvement overall in my book. I will be looking for something else in a couple years for sure.

We purchased a 2016 Fusion from Auto Nation in Union City GA. The auto shift clutch immediately started vibrating, lunging and rolls backwards, I assumed it would be a warranty fix easily but the dealership and Ford refused saying it was “normal”. Now there is a class action lawsuit. After 50 years with Ford never again. Don’t buy.

I bought a 2014 F150. I only have 35000 miles on it. Started rusting in the cab corners before warranty went out but they wouldnt cover it because it wasnt perforated. They assured me that once it perforates it would be covered because I was still way under the mileage and that the time didnt matter. Well, one month after the time portion of the warranty went out, it perforated. I took it to both dealers I had been dealing with and they wouldnt give me the time of day. Just said, Your warranty is out, we dont want to touch it. Now I cant even get my truck fixed. Only one shop in my area will even touch rust work, but he wants close to $3500 to fix it and he has terrible reviews for quality work. Spoke to customer care and they said to just hope Ford releases some kind of reimbursement or extended warranty in the future. Are you kidding me?The problem was clearly noted before the warranty expired. I could have easily poked a hole through the bubbles to make it perforated, but that would not be honest. I wasnt even looking for Ford to cover the entire thing, maybe just approval for the dealer to actually do the work and maybe a discounted rate. I was considering upgrading some trucks in my fleet to new super dutys as Ive always had Ford, but given the way I have been treated the last few years by Ford, I dont believe I can bring myself to do so anymore. Whatever has happened to this company in the last 5-8 years, I am very disappointed.

Bought a new 2016 Ford Explorer and with 300 miles on it. I noticed the paint had dots in it. I took it back to the dealer and they said it was paint pop and they will wet sand the car to fix it. So they did and I got my car back with white spots all over it. So they said we have to repaint the whole car. I said that was not acceptable to have a new car that has to be repainted. The dealer and Ford motor company said that all they will do but everyone I have talked to said they would not accept a new car that was repainted but they want me to. They gave me two choices. Get the car repainted or trade it in. So I was going to trade it in but I would lose 8 grand. Now the car is all taken apart and getting repainted with 300 miles on it.I own 6 Ford cars and trucks as of today and will never buy another one so make sure if you are looking to buy a new Explorer, you look at the paint. I bought a black one and stopped at two other dealers to look at the they had on the lot and they had the same problem as mine. And ford said there is nothing wrong with them. Buyers beware.

My wife and I awoke this morning around 0600 to the sound of a horn honking right next to our bedroom window and bright lights outside. I figured someone was trying to pick up a friend to take to work and had the wrong house. When I looked out the window, I saw my 1999 F-150 with a 12-18 hole in the center of its hood with flames shooting up through it. The horn honking must have either been an emergency alarm or the wires crossed after the plastic melted off them. I ran outside while the fire was still relatively small and attempted to put it out with a small kitchen fire extinguisher - which only lasted 3 seconds and did nothing to stop the blaze. I quickly pulled out the important things I could reach from inside the cab and it went up in flames shortly thereafter. My wife had already contacted 911 and I tried to turn on the garden hose - which was right next to the truck - but it was frozen solid. I quickly hooked up an empty hose, but when I turned the water back on - I only got half power (there must have been a partial ice blockage) so I proceeded to hold a trickle of water over my aluminum truck bed tool box while the firefighters arrived and got their hose out - which only took about a minute. They blasted the truck with water and got most of the flames out, and then they blasted and showered several spots with foam. The cab was burnt to a crisp, but everything in my aluminum tool box in the truck bed was okay aside from a plastic tool box melting slightly to the inner wall of the aluminum box. A corner of our garage - which was almost directly over the rear drivers corner of the cab - had slight blistering to the paint, but its hardly noticeable. We were very fortunate that this happened at a time when we were both able to react to the emergency as it was unfolding, and we were very fortunate to have been able to remove almost everything of any value from the cab, and fortunate as well that the garage didnt ignite. It was below freezing out for sure, and my truck had sat there cold for about 36 hours before the fire started. From now on, Im going to park well away from our house and garage. Im also going to buy several types of fire extinguishers to keep in the house and in the next vehicle I get, as well as a designated emergency-hose to keep indoors to prevent it from freezing. And having read so many other stories here about spontaneous combustion in Ford vehicles, I dont think I can ever buy one again.

I just purchased a Thor RV with a Ford chassis. When I took it to a Ford dealer for repairs, I was told Ford built the 2021 F450 chassis to sell, but didn’t manufacture any parts. Therefore, it could be 6 months or very possibly longer before repairs can be done. The RV is not drivable and I live in it. Fords answer is to leave it on their lot until parts are made, no concern for the fact that I’m homeless in the meantime. It’s been four weeks now and I can’t find one person at Ford that cares! I would never recommend buying A new Ford.

February 5, 2014, I was sent to Ford in Olive Branch Mississippi to check out the 2014 Ford Fiesta. I was on the road the next day (the car was delivered from about 40 miles away in TN). Sunday on March 2nd I was pulling into the driveway and the engine malfunctioned and vibrated continually until the engine was shut off. I cranked it up and it was fine afterwards - I assumed it was a simple computer issue. March 4, 2014 - MY BIRTHDAY. I pick my daughter up from school and break down at a four way stop on the way home. ENGINE MALFUNCTION. Shut off engine immediately. Major vibration! Roadside assistance was attentive, but couldnt get to me until 6pm. By this time Ford could not tell me if I was able to get a rental car or anything until my car made it to the shop. All I wanted was an answer and a plan on getting my daughter to school the next day. I get a rental the next day, but not until about 10:30am and this is after calling all morning and being avoided. I was called to pick up my vehicle on Thursday afternoon and told that a code was ran showing problem with the throttle and the problem was WEATHER INDUCED. They reset the computer and gave me the car back. I knew this would be an issue. An hour after driving the car, it malfunctioned again, and once again would not accelerate or move more than a few inches. I was picked up and given a rental. I was not contacted throughout the weekend. I called Monday morning with no answer so I decided to go get some things out of my car. They told me they were just about to call me to let me know my car was ready and that they had replaced the entire throttle body. I was not happy about keeping a brand new car that already had a serious problem, but needed to catch up on all the errands. Today - Tuesday, March 11 I find myself BROKE DOWN AGAIN. I now have no rental, no car, and a booked vacation in 3 days. Happy spring break to me. I will never purchase a Ford again. Not to mention the miles put onto my car from the shop driving it as well as the gas that was not replaced.

However, I dislike the seats leaning back and power steering, how the brakes work, the radio in it, the color of the interior, the cars weird looking color, the tires, the old radio cassette player and dashboard, the vehicles slowness, how the seats set and how I have to pull seat up to drive the vehicle.

I purchased a 2013 Ford Focus as a new vehicle eight years ago. I soon regretted the decision after discovering other Focus owners had significant transmission issues and that the transmission was designed so the fluid could never be changed which suggested planned obsolescence to me. The transmission often shifted strangely despite periodic computer adjustments and tended to ride somewhat roughly in slow city driving. While I had concerns about its useful lifespan, my Focus did a low average job of getting me from point A to point B until recently. As someone who believes in getting value from their purchases, I had hoped to drive the car for 10 to 15 years from the time of purchase. This should not be an unreasonable expectation for someone who makes certain that their cars have good maintenance and put only limited mileage on a vehicle as I no longer have a daily commute. In April of this year, the car developed an excessive shudder. The vehicle was in the shop for several days and the clutch had to be replaced. One week ago, the vehicle would not start and seemed to be just a bad battery but the diagnostics showed a transmission control module problem. The part is on back order so as a previous post suggests it could be in the shop indefinitely. The mileage is still in the low 60s and the vehicle has been well maintained. The problem is the lack of quality in a failed transmission system rendering a vehicle useless before even reaching the 10 year milestone. I most definitely will never purchase another Ford product again.

In July 2017 our 2013 Ford F-150 lost all braking power. Had truck towed and they replaced Master Cylinder and brake booster. I researched and found our truck was manufactured 4 months too early to be included in a recall for this very issue. Ford headquarters finally agreed to pay us $350 of our $574 bill. We have a complaint number and approval code. HOWEVER it is October and the local dealership Sam Packs Ford Country of Lewisville TX refuses to cut our partial hush payment! Ive emailed and called too many times to both headquarters and local shop!!! Im done with Ford and ready to spread the word of their refusal to admit to faulty parts and refusal to honor partial payment! They are liable and are trying to avoid all accountability. Shame on Ford as we all know BRAKES ARE OPTIONAL on Ford vehicles!!!

I faced several safety-related issues with a FORD FUSION 2012. When I submitted a request for repurchase/replacement under the Lemon law, Ford agreed to repurchase/replace a lemon I purchased back in May 2012. I was negotiating the replacement option when FORD decided to cancel the offer. When I spoke to an attorney, they told me that the due date for filing under the lemon law had passed and hence, I was not eligible for an arbitration process under the Lemon law.I was told that FORD had essentially dragged the process to make my claim fall outside the Lemon law window and now I am forced to hire a private attorney to file a lawsuit. The attorney I spoke with advised that this can get very expensive if FORD decides to fight it, as they have a lot of resources. As a consumer, I feel cheated by this company - first when I was sold a lemon and then when they cancelled their offer for no apparent reason. This is just an abuse of the system.

On Monday, 4/29/13, my wife parked the Explorer at 4PM. At 1:30AM the phone started ringing. A neighbor was pounding on our door and a fireman pounding on our bedroom window. The Explorer had started on fire on the drivers side of the engine. The fire melted everything under the hood and started the tires and driveway on fire. The fire spread to my 2005 GMC 2500, a fence, pine tree and the face of the garage. About $35k damage. I was worried the fire may have started by the new starter we put in the week before, but the fire line was above the frame and starter wires were still good. The fire inspector from St. Paul said they saw the fire in the battery and wiring area often. 3 days and Liberty is already cutting checks.

Its the gas tank you have to watch because they put these rubber mounts on the bottom of the tank where the straps hold up the tank. 2015 MKZ Hybrid - While I like the style and comfort of the car, the mileage promised has been false and misleading. First, note that one of the first things I was told by the salesman at my local Lincoln dealership was that Lincoln had been under fire for giving out incorrect mileage statistics, but now all was in order and the mileage estimates were accurate, if not understated. This was reassuring since I had been misled in the past and found actual mileage rates to be only about 75% of the mileage rates claimed. This new hybrid MKZ promised I would get 41 MPG in the city and 39 MPG on the highway. I questioned the salesman who told me that those numbers were accurate. After agreeing to a purchase price I was moved along to the finance guy to handle my lease processing. I asked him the same question and received an almost identical response. He added that many of his customers actually do better than the stated mileage. I was happy. After picking up the car and driving it about 1000 miles I saw that the MPG calculator on the dash for individual and cumulative mileage both were telling me that I was averaging about 36 MPG. I went back to the dealership questioning why the mileage was so low. I was told by the service representative that it was far too early to get an accurate reading of mileage. I needed to wait until the car reached about 3000 miles. When I reached 3000 miles, I still was averaging (according to the mileage reader) about 36 MPG.I spoke to another service representative that told me that the car needed to have 5000 miles on it before I would get an accurate reading on the dashboard calculator. When I went in for my 5000 mileage service call, my dashboard calculator still showed I was getting individual mileage rates per trip, per tank, and cumulatively of about 36 MPG. Now a new service representative told me that I should never rely on the dashboard calculator because it is so inaccurate. Instead, I should check my mileage the old fashioned way... and then I would see I was getting 39 to 41MPG as promised. The old fashioned way is to fill the tank to the very brim with each fill up and divide the mileage driven by the gallons replaced with each tankful of gas I used. I did this... filling the tank to the very brim each time, to the point where it would spill out if I added any more. And guess what? He was right. The dashboard MPG calculator was incorrect. However, not the way he thought. I have now done this test approximately 20 times. My actual mileage ranged between 31 MPG and 35 MPG... FAR, FAR LESS than the mileage I was promised. This deception is unacceptable. I paid and continue to pay a great deal of money for a car that has been misrepresented to the public as getting mileage much, much higher than it actually gets.I have been driving 45 years and know how to drive properly. I do not have a heavy foot on the gas, know when to brake, and know when the cars idle will get me to my destination without stomping on the gas, only to screech to a halt 50 feet later. I also have studied how to efficiently drive a hybrid. The mileage on this car is horrendous and Lincoln/Ford needs to be held accountable for their misstatements.

The transmission on my daughters 2008 Ford Fusion AWD was diagnosed as bad with 85k on it which required a new one (the internal part was not serviceable) to be installed at a cost approx $5k (she was away at college and all contact with the service dept was via phone). The PTU (the mechanism that transfers the power to the back wheels) was removed from the bad trans and installed on the new one, but the dealership failed to replace $20 worth of seals that Fords service manual requires done when any time the PTU is removed. Now a leak from these internal seals has appeared. To repair the leak, almost the entire front right of the transaxle must be removed which accounts for 90% of the cost due to the 6 hours labor. If the job was done right, when the trans was out of the car, and the PTU was on the bench, labor would have been nearly nothing (I would have paid the nominal amount if asked). The dealership will do nothing saying It didnt leak before and most troubling the Ford Customer Service Dept will not do anything either saying its a dealership workmanship problem and they have no ability to force them to do anything they dont want to do although its their blue oval outside. Thanks for listening, where do I go next (If any)?

The fire department made it in good time, but the truck was already totaled. Everything in the cab was ruined, including all three childrens car seats. Thankful I have comprehensive insurance. Im not sure what is causing this problem but Im sure if I take it in, Ill be told they cant duplicate it. Ill wait and see what happens.

My 2019 F150 4X4 Supercrew has 1200 miles on it and was purchased July 1, 2018. The drivers side door makes a loud cracking noise when opened or closed. It started out of nowhere approx 2 days ago. I’ve only driven it about 15 times. I took it to the dealer, Pompano Ford, and 2 service techs and a body shop tech looked at. The 2 service techs said it might need to be lubricated, but the body shop tech said the black hinge was faulty and needed to be replaced. It’s difficult to tell if the noise is coming from the part of the hinge that’s connected to the door, or the part that is connected to the body. He said the door has to be taken off to replace it. I asked him if the door would be put back on the way it was new, he stated he couldn’t guarantee it would be exact, but may be slightly off after the repair. They did not have the part, but would contact me when the part arrived.

Defective Sunroof issue in 2015-2017 models - Warranty expired & about 2 month after that I left my vehicle out & it rained heavily. I found water dripping near the framework on the passenger side, between the windshield & door. The floor mat was full of water. I dumped it out - tried to dry out the carpet. It was so saturated I couldnt get it all out. Then when driving it I actually heard swooshing sounds when I came to stops. Meanwhile I thought it was some fluke or the bad rainstorm. Then when we washed @ the Morries Ford car wash, we noticed it again. So we looked online & sure enough there were many others who reported the same or similar issues. Meanwhile mold had developed & Morries said I did have the defective part/sunroof. Filed a claim & the best Ford will do is only cover Half the cost to replace their defective sunroof. I am going to file a complaint with our Atty. General. I paid once for this feature when I bought it brand new. I should not have to pay for it again due to it being a defective sunroof. Morries tried cover up this issue also when I first reported it to them. Lying to me saying someone vandalized my vehicle by removing all the weather stripping on the roof. Theres not any on the roof on any of the Ford trucks where this service advisor tried to point out. Very disgusted.

I was driving down the freeway when there was a noise as if a gear had shifted and then the car stopped responding to the gas pedal and kind of went into neutral with no power. I was lucky I was close to an exit, so I took that and went off to the side but a line formed behind me. Luckily no one hit the car because there are so many who get off the freeway at high speeds. I called the local Ford and they said they will take a look tomorrow. Car is about 3 years old.

Our key was locked inside the car. I called them at 9:30 pm on 7/6/2018. They set up C&J towing in Madison, GA(50 miles away) to come unlock our vehicle and they would be there in 90 minutes. Two hours later I was told they would be there in 15 minutes. They never showed up and would not answer my calls. It was 4:00am before they called someone else to come out. Which would be 45 minutes before they would get there. Which they did show up and unlocked the door. We were traveling home from our vacation and had been on the road since 9:00am that morning. I really don’t understand why they called someone so far away to start with. VERY DISAPPOINTED in this service.

Due to past help with constructing the PeaceNet a small International Network; that ultimately turned into the Internet, I can do things most people cannot. The e-mail explains the problems I am having with a Ford Escape. It is a new car with less than a thousand miles on it that is viewed as a deathtrap. Even more problems have come up by research that make the situation even worse. Every time the word Ford comes down the Internet, I am sent the e-mail address. Other words in the e-mail such as purchase can be used to define the list. I have amassed the e-mails of thousands of people that are considering purchasing something from Ford. The Ford resolution department has tried to solve the problem by giving me the X-Plan pricing. The problem is that I would purchase a Ford Edge which is a much safer car and I can get my wife and family to ride in. I have not been able to make a deal on an Edge even though I have the reduced pricing on the Edge because I cannot get the zero percent 72 month financing like I have on the Escape. I am 75 years old, my wife and I live on Social Security and have a house that has expenses plus living expenses that happen even though the house is paid for. I have a credit rating of 815. I live as economically as possible; no extra anything and never go to restaurants or any kind of entertainment. However, a large car payment does not fit into the budget. 72 month or 84 month would be ideal. I have had the Escape repaired at the finest body shop around and carries a lifetime guarantee on the work. Everybody at Ford Resolution is telling me I have to go to Ford Finance for the longer terms. I am going to lose money on the trade in even though it has only three digit miles on it. I have tried to get Ford to take the car back and they will not. Their resolution is that they give me a low price on the purchase, but the dealers will not give me the same finance arrangement. So I am appealing to Ford Finance. There are dealers in the far North area of Chicago that have longer Zero percent financing. I dont know if they use Ford Financing or not. Purchasing a car at a dealer 80 miles away makes no sense. If I cannot make a deal at a price and financing, then I must do my e-mail campaign. I am ready to send thousands of e-mails everyday to people around the world telling them the five points that I have found, as an Engineer by trade, that makes this car dangerous and risky to drive. I go into great detail about this. I have nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter. I would not let one of them ride in the rear area of this Ford Escape. The way that glass rear window just exploded after the accident is real scary. Glass came up into the front area like it was a bullet. It is my duty as a responsible citizen to do this.

My 2013 Ford Fiesta hatchback titanium required a tow in year 3 with no other issues other than the battery dying and the radio console freezing up a few times which I was able to fix myself. It is an American made car that was extremely well priced with attractive features such as moonroof, leather seats, heated seats, rear camera, GPS system, enhanced audio sound system that a lot of the foreign cars offer at their base price models. It came in a manual which was important to me and hard to find. Some of the car pieces are made of plastic though where it should not be. The hood latch and several metal pieces under the hood have seized which I find absurd since I take great care of my vehicle. The whole vehicle is dependent upon a computer system that can be quite finicky at times especially when wet or cold outside.

I was going about 15 miles per hour after taking off from a stoplight. The truck started bucking and I could hear a popping sound from the engine. I pulled over and opened the hood and noticed the COP vibrating loose. I drove it 3 miles to the dealer. I opened the hood again and the COP was completely broken off. This was the second time this happened. Ford will not pay or own up to it because they have since fixed the issue in newer vehicles. They are waiting for these to be phased out so they can save money by turning their back on the customers. I am a US soldier and its sad that I defend such spineless cowards!

We purchased a Ford Edge for the specific reason of towing it behind our RV. The dealership assured us the transmission was built to enable us to tow it four wheels down. This part is true, but what they neglected to tell us is that the car does not charge the battery unless it is idling or being driven, leaving us with a completely dead battery after even an hour! After talking with the customer service at the Ford Corp... thats it. Pretty much too bad. The manual tells you to start the car after 4-5 hours of towing, which is difficult since it is dead after one hour. Ford could not even give any assistance in what could be done as far as spark plugs, trickle charger, etc. Too bad... a $27,000 mistake. I wish I had my CRV back; no problems whatsoever!

I bought a 2005 Ford F-150 for my husband, Aaron **, as a coming home present from Iraq. We taped a huge red ribbon around it and waited for the Army to move the buses so he could see it. Just to have that very present take his life. He was 22 years old, with a 3-year old child, and the truck took his life. Not Iraq or terrorism, but here at home by one of the most trusted American names we have. It is believed and documented by the Criminal Investigative Division over Fort Hood that his death is indeterminable, but stemmed from a fire in the front engine compartment. Aaron parted ways in the early evening hours of September 10, 2008 from a 30-day field training mission to head home for relaxation. He walked in the door, cracked a 16oz Natural Ice and headed straight for the toilet. No less than 5 minutes he was talking to me, reiterating the day before him and letting his stresses unfold like duty does at this hour. I failed to remember that this would be our last conversation and completely failed to put all my trust in him. Instead of telling him I loved him, I told him we would be divorcing. That the stresses he held onto were quickly becoming mine and with that, he threw his ring, jumped up from the toilet and headed to bed. Neither of us knew that the fire would seriously sever that conversation. When I woke the following morning, I decided to not call him. He had been in training for the previous 45 days and I thought with the heavy sentence I laid on him, he might need a day to go fishing. I was to attend his only sisters wedding, since he could not. His redeployment date was nearing and he was to stay within 150 miles of Ft. Hood. The 11th went on like no one was watching. No one in the **s home was worried about anything, but football scores. I too was not. I did not know Aaron had taken his last breath, in our own home, with all that military training. No, I was the last one who believed Aaron was not breathing. I made a few mistakes in my lifetime, but this certainly was the largest. Army life, army strife, together forever, it is our life. 4 years have passed. Nothing has been the way it was the day before Sept. 11, 2008. It is more like a divorce that I had wanted at 24 years old. Who knows what divorce really is at that age? But now I battle my in-laws over our only daughter. I have rarely seen reality bite until I envision why Ford caused that fire in Aarons truck. I lost the battle in them. I lost my daughter to my in-laws and I lost Aaron. My heart grieves for Taylor, our daughter. She suffers without her father and her mother. I only wish I had words to describe the catastrophe Ford caused my family. But one day it will matter and all will see. My ambitions to become an attorney purposefully to convict Ford and all that they are capable of as an American motor company will guide me for the rest of my life. I ask God for mercy upon Ford - its creators and its will.

In June 2015 I ordered a brand-new Ford F-150 in a color that they charge extra for. OK fine. I took delivery of the vehicle, and a week later, while handwashing it, I noticed that it was a big glob of something on the roof, a giant swirl on the left front hood, and the tailgate is half shiny and half dull. iPhone the salesman, and he directed me to the dealers body shop. The body shop only addressed the roof, as they said the other two imperfections were not visible to their eyes. The customer is always right remember? Anyway, when I got the truck back I looked at it and it seemed fine. About an hour later a friend and I both climbed into the bed and looked at the roof because it had become very bright and sunny out. There were dozens of air bubble over the river. I called the body shop and brought it back in. It was at this time that a body shop manager told me the history of my new truck. He said that The paint sprayers at the Ford Dearborn truck plant had malfunctioned at the time my truck was being painted. He went on to say, that the truck was tag and set aside for repaint, but someone removed the tag and shipped it. Ford KNOWINGLY SHIPPED my truck with DEFECTIVE paint!!! I WAS LIVID!!! After my truck was given back to me, I drove away in tears. Again I waited for it to be very sunny, and I looked at it again. Only this time my roof which should be one sheet shiny paint, had buff marks which resembled sandpaper being used all over the roof. I was sick and furious!!! I went back a third time and was met by the body shop manager and another man. I spoke up again about my outrage at the plant knowingly shipped my truck with the fact of paint. The body shop manager said to me, I probably shouldnt of told you that, and the other man nodded his head in agreement. They stood on stool and looked at my roof. It had rained that morning, so there was dust on my roof. The unnamed man said he couldnt see a problem, so I gently with my finger and started wiping off some of the dirt. He said, it cant be that noticeable if you have to let your finger to see it. He left, and I stayed to speak to the body shop manager. I asked him who that rude man was so belittled me, and he said, The dealership owner. That man didnt even have the courtesy of introducing himself. Yes I purchased a $45,000 truck from him. Seriously? I offered to have my truck shipped back to the plant to have it factory-painted like I ordered and paid for. I am now stuck making payments for the next six years on a brand-new F-150 with a ** paint job. This is not what I ordered, and paid for. My truck was to have factory paint.

I purchased my Ford Edge in April at over 35,000 dollars. The car was back at the dealers for a leak on the passenger side the floor was wet. On August 5 the car stalled and the wrench light was on. It broke down and had to be towed. the dealer kept it until the 11 of August. It broke down the same day again. It was towed again - same thing wrench light. Kept until the 27 of August. Then I noticed my back-up camera was not working. Took it back it was fine they said. Ford Customer care does nothing to help. This is a brand new car, only had 10 miles on it. I am very disappointed with Ford and will keep fighting until a new car shows up at my door. I want this wrong corrected. My Ford Edge has been back to the dealer a total of 4 times. I have filed a complaint with Ford 4 times. The is a major safety issue. But no one seems to understand it. And that peoples lives are at danger. Write and call every aspect of Ford. I think a class action lawsuit needs to be filed. It is clear to me that this car left the Canada plant this way. This should have never happened. Also, the lemon law need to benefit the customer not corporate. I am going to change that in my state, too. Why should I be forced to pay for a car that is clearly a safety hazard? All because Ford Motor Company cannot admit they built a lemon. To my fellow consumers keep fighting.

I have bought my Ford Ecosports from Elite Ford, Bangalore on 03-March-2015
I have bought my Ford Ecosports from Elite Ford, Bangalore on 03-March-2015. On 2nd Aug 2015 (Sunday) when I was driving in Bangalore, it has started giving vibration and stopped in middle on the road. Somehow I managed to take the vehicle to service center with help of Ford roadside assistance. The next day (Monday) when I met to service center people, the response I get from Elite Ford was worst. They were not concerned about my vehicle condition and my sentiment on my loved vehicle. They simply tried to wash their hands by blaming my driving capability, without considering my prior driving experience. Seems they were very happy to see my vehicle in that conditions. Within 30 min they made the estimation for 15000 and sent to mail for my approval and also I am getting calls from them every day for my approval to start the repair. I have below concerns on my vehicle and Ford India. 1. How the clutch will worn-out within 3-4 months (4000 KM). Is the vehicle is that sensitive? 2. Is there any different style of driving for Ford vehicles? 3. As Ford assured for 2 years warranty, I am very much eligible to get my vehicle corrected from you, why you people (Ford/Elite Ford) are trying washing your hands by blaming customers driving capabilities. 4. If it continuously giving the same problem, how can I maintain the vehicle for long time. Is it punishment for us for choosing the great Ford car. 5. If the same case happened to any other important parts (Engine/GearBox), what we have to do with that vehicle. 6. If the same happened after 3-4 months, what to do. Is it possible to maintain the vehicle.

After much persistence, on my part, the problem was finally fixed. The Senior Technician researched more and found 4 more tests to pinpoint why this may be happening. The first three were negative in result. The fourth test found the problem. The float at the bottom of the gas passageway (?) before the main part of the gas tank is reached, was STUCK OPEN. So, of course, it did not signal that it was full! When I was told this and informed that a new gas tank was to be installed, I just could not believe that this had not been a checking option before!! I had a very hard time containing myself. The fact that I refused to be blown off by their comments on several discussions was the only thing that got it fixed. My respect for this particular Ford Dealership took an amazing downslide!!

I paid $3600 for the Premium Service package that is contracted in my payments each month. I cant get that money back. Fletcher Ford in MO said that my Ford has never had my Premium service done. Ford complaint center said it has. Fletcher Ford service center said that my rotors were ground down so bad that I need new rotors. Ford Complaint center claims that they were never touched by any service according to my service records. Ford tried to say that I ride the brakes too hard and that is why they are ground down so much. I had another Ford truck that I put over 400,000 miles on and never had to change the rotors. I dont ride on my brakes. I believe that there was some dishonesty along the way.Ford has always serviced my Ford truck and they kept up the brakes. My brakes are right now 70% to the good so why would anyone grind down my rotors? The only thing I can think of, is so that I would get Ford service to replace them and thats how they make more money on your vehicle along the way. Thats what the Premium service is all about to me, is to get more money out of you along the way by doing dishonest service to your vehicle, so it seems!

Well after months of working with Ford to get something for all the trouble I had with the fiesta. Car shutting off on when I’m driving, shuttering when it did drive, door latches going out in the first 30 days of me owning it. Hours spent at Ford to have them tell me it’s fixed and drive home to find out it’s not. I finally traded it in and Ford said because I don’t own the car anymore they are not going to help me even though they sent me the form saying they could. Thank You Ford for wasting my time and money. Never again will I buy a Ford. Saying we are an American company but making parts in Mexico. At least other companies don’t ** as much as you do.

Quality and customer service are they a dinosaur of the past? It seems so.
Quality and customer service are they a dinosaur of the past? It seems so. We purchased a 2009 Ford Diesel truck in May of 2010 with the expectation that this truck with a diesel engine would last upwards in the 200,000-300,000 mileage range with proper maintenance and care, which is one of the major selling points of a diesel engine. The truck was paid off and in September of 2015 just one month out of warranty this truck had to have both turbochargers replaced at Henry Day Ford for a little over $5,000.00. The mileage was at 90,651. Just under the engine break in period as is normally advertised. We asked the service advisor at that time, what more can we do to prevent these costly repairs. The answer was nothing can be done, except regular oil changes at proper intervals. In May of this year we had what we thought to be the exact same problem and returned it to Henry Day Ford to get it repaired. We were told that it would be over $21,000.00 to repair the truck as the engine was beyond repair, two cylinders had low compression. The original price on the truck was just under $35,000.00 and adding in the costly repair in September we are now at $40,000 for a truck with 100,499 miles on it, and it is not running. My first question; what has happened to quality in a product? I remember in the past one of Fords main advertising statement was Quality is job one. Apparently in Fords case, quality is not a job at all. Do we as providers or manufacturers expect to deliver less than the best quality to our customers and consumers? Are we OK with the terrible quality of products and goods that we produce and pass along to the consumer or customer? The fact that we as providers do not put our foot down and say no, we will not sell an inferior product because we have to stand behind it. When it fails, and it will, we look bad too.I know at Tingey Plumbing & Heating we make that choice all the time. There are products that we will not carry from certain manufacturers because of the quality. What would happen if more companies would take that stand? My second question; does customer service even exist anymore? My answer is simple when dealing with Henry Day Ford. Not only no, but absolutely, without question no. We received one phone call from the service advisor to tell us the engine was gone, and when dissatisfaction was expressed, it was implied that it happens frequently. I have made the balance of the phone calls to try to resolve this massive financial disaster to our company with the service manager and he has never attempted to call me back, or give me a realistic resolution to solve the problem. Their answer was bringing the bill down from $21,000.00 to $16,000.00.In the meantime we had placed a call to Ford Motor Company to lodge a complaint and were given a confirmation number and were told someone from Ford Motor Company would call us back. We waited and waited and waited. Meanwhile we have a truck that is not on the road and a technician that does not have his truck to work out of. After a week we called Ford Motor Company back to be told we needed to call the service manager at Henry Day Ford. We took the truck to a different dealer to get a second opinion. We took it to Ken Garff (next door to Henry Day Ford), who has a Ford trained master mechanic that looked at the problem. At first inspection they thought it was a different problem and quoted us $6,300.00 dollars to repair it and when I asked if it was in fact the engine would they still charge us, I was told yes. This is where the huge difference in customer service comes in.Their mechanic decided to use a borescope and look at the cylinders to make sure their diagnosis was correct and he found out the truck had indeed lost two cylinders. Ken Garff then quoted after several calls to us to try to resolve the problem $13,999.00 to replace the engine. Great customer service from Ken Garff. When I called the service manager at Henry Day Ford in an attempt to get help from Ford Motor Company or Henry Day Ford, I was told by the service manager they do not build the trucks so do not take it out on them. He told me that they were not making any money on the engine replacement and that the other dealer could not possibly replace the engine for that price. I asked him if he had even called Ford Motor Company to see if they would do anything and he said no. He expressed over and over again how it would not be fair to him for me to write any bad reviews as they do not build the vehicle.I asked him to call Ford Motor Company and he said he could call the territorial manager and said he would get back to me... he never did. Its been over a week. It appears to me the customer service that Henry Day Ford gives, is to itself, they are more concerned about customers being fair to them than taking care of a serious defect in a diesel truck that is 6 years old with 100,499 miles on it. Yes Henry Day Ford, I know that you do not build the truck but you represent the company and honestly, I have had more customer service in the airport security line in LA, although the wait is about the same, deathly slow or non-existent. Which brings me to the question again, is customer service extinct? I know that in a majority of companies it is, but there are some that still believe that customer service is a top priority. I know that it makes a difference in our customers because they tell us that it does. Why should they settle for mediocrity? Why should any of us? I know that I will never buy another Ford product again; I will never go to Henry Day Ford again. I will not give money to a company that demonstrates a severe lack of quality in addition to an incredible lack of customer service. Can we make a difference? Yes we can if enough people cry out. You either listen to them and respond or you ignore them and hope they go away before you do. Eventually they go away because customer service sets you apart from others who provide the same product.

I arrived home from work on 3/26/2012 at approximately 3 pm. The truck (2001 F-150) was off and parked for a good hour. While in my kitchen, I heard a loud boom and smelled something burning. I looked outside and the driver’s side front fender was on fire. Flames were coming through the hood. The loud boom turned out to be my driver’s side front tire. I called the fire department of Midland County, TX. My truck is totaled. The entire front of my 4-door truck burned. The firemen got to my house before any structural damage occurred. My truck was paid for; therefore, I only carried liability insurance. I was willing to accept the loss and was grateful that my children were not harmed. Now, I am finding out that this is a problem that Ford knew about. Why am I not notified? I remember receiving notices about extended warranty options, but never about a potential fire hazard. As I learn more about this issue, it upsets me even more. I had problems with my cruise control within the last 6 months. I also replaced the rear light bulbs because of brake and emergency light problems. I repeat, I am grateful to God that no one was hurt, but I can’t help but to believe that this could have been prevented. Please respond with information and direction that I could go from this unnecessary burden that my family has to endure. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Purchased a Ford Transit 2020 from this place. I submitted my review for Ford.com but they did not publish it because it was a one star. Two main reasons for one star: They sold me a car without passenger seat. I thought I can install a seat. When I went to pick up the car, they told me it doesn’t have any passenger airbags. Factory removed them! If they have told me I would never buy this car. It is not safe to operate. It took them one 8 days to finish the paper work for my car, and they only did it because I keep following up with them.I purchase that car remotely, by phone. We agreed on a price that was 300$ less than MSRP. They called me after a while saying that somebody else is willing to buy the car for the whole MSRP price and I need to pay the full price if I want it. Who changes his word for 300$, one a 50+K$ car? They removed a 1$ Funnel in the car to fill it from a canister. In my way home, I ran out of gas. I went to a gas station and filled a canister and came back then I couldn’t find the funnel to fill the tank and had to wait a long time for road side assistant. The passenger door on my brand new 2020 car rattled sometime and you have to open and close it several times to fix this. Need to the new car to the dealership. The MPG is way lower than what advertised.

This car gets us 40-41 miles a gallon every trip we take. It has plenty of get up and go. We have only spent $125 on repairs. The repair was for a battery. We have owned this car for over 3.5 years and commend Ford for this fine car. It has a great ride, a good sound system, and it is a pleasure to drive.

This car can accelerate and stick at ANY given time! My car also sticks in Reverse, in the middle of the road. It shimmers, shudders, grinds, rattles, shifts when it wants and doesnt want and slips! How could they NOT possible return all of these vehicles, smash them and grind them like they did to Christine at the end!? These are death trap cars and are unsafe... Shame on Ford. NEVER EVER AGAIN!!! Now, I am stuck in this car, hoping and praying that nothing bad happens. All they do is lie after lie and say its normal just so they dont have to fix it under the lemon law. You are worse than Chevy and Toyota!

My overall experience with my Mercury Mariner is really good. I havent had any problems with it and I bought it used one year ago. Its a 2006 and I love it. Its dependable and its easy to drive. I like all the features it comes with too! I like the sunroof, the radio/cd player and it allows you to place several CDs in it at one time. It has automatic windows and theyre tinted which is also a plus. I also like that it has good working air conditioning and the heat works good as well. The front seats have a button to heat them which is very nice to have on extra cold days. I would like it to have a GPS system but it doesnt. I could always add one but other than that, I dont have anything that I dislike about it. I would like it if the window tint was a little bit darker but I can always get that done.

I purchased the Mach E I put nearly 50% deposit and yet an exact delivery has not been provided to me. I AM THE ONE PAYING FOR DELIVERY! I deserve to know when, and where my car is. Norfolk Southern has been a nightmare to get a hold of. My dealership is working with the info from Fords tracking which has been useless and inaccurate. You risk more people canceling their orders if you continue to practice this way. Give your customers better information, keep them happy or they will turn away.

I bought a Ford car because I was tired of people in my community harassing me for not buying American. I previously owned a Toyota and a Mini Cooper. Sadly, Ford sold me a lemon. I took delivery on a Fiesta that came out of factory missing a wiring harness! I asked to replace this lemon. Instead, the service department at the dealership was sheepish about the problem. After a 40 minute wait, the workers emerged. They finally told me about the wiring harness after they said that it had already just been installed. Problem solved. There were other problems, but I racked up mileage and was told that my car is out of warranty, so Id have to pay for the repairs. Now, I have a key fob problem. Both the customer service representatives and the dealership are giving me the run around because replacement costs run over $250. Every time I get someone on the phone, their response changes. I was better off NOT buying a Ford.

My 2018 Ford Transit Connect Titanium car that my wife and children drive we started noticing the car having hard times to turn left or right. We discovered that the carpet floor mat keeps getting sucked underneath the dash because of the turning mechanism from the steering wheel. I’m sure this is going to be a recall that nobody’s noticed yet but it is very dangerous. If my wife God forbid was to make a turn in the carpet gets stuck in the steering mechanism it would keep it from turning the way she’s going and can cause an accident. I don’t know where to go from here. Someone please help. Thanks again.

I was called and then sent a letter to pay a settlement amount of $1,403.76 on the phone and in the letter, I explained to the lady (877-231-8641 ext. **) I would have the money in a couple of weeks because my husband had just passed away. She stated this could not wait so I put off paying other bills to send the money on Sept. 19th. Well, on Sunday, Sept. 30th, they came and repossessed the vehicle, in which Ford is not open on Sundays. So, I called the lady back on Monday, Oct. 1st and asked why the vehicle was repossessed. She stated the payment had not posted. I explained that I had sent it in. She was the rudest and most hateful person I have ever spoken to at Ford. I asked her if I could talk to a supervisor and she said no. I told her I had sent the money and wanted my vehicle returned to me and she said too bad the only way was to pay Ford an additional $350.94 plus the repo fee. She would not even tell me exactly where the vehicle was. She stated it was none of my business and I did not have the right to know where my vehicle was taken. I do know the vehicle was taken to North Carolina and I live in South Carolina which is about 100 miles from me. The letter also states failure to remit the settlement amount or contact Ford may result in further collection activity, nothing about repossession which I think according to South Carolina Law, the consumer must be notified of repossession and the consumer has 20 days to pay the debt. I was not even given that courtesy. My husband worked for Ford for over 10 years and we have purchased over 15 vehicles over the years. As far as I am concerned, I will never buy another Ford as long as I live!

As if this 2020 hasn’t been awful enough, Lincoln/Ford has now been doing their part to bury what little is left of the year. I’ve been trying for nearly 4 months to get into another Lincoln, which would be my 4th consecutive Lincoln/Ford, but I’ve had nothing nightmare-after-nightmare unfold. I’ve actively reached out to the dealer and the individual that I have purchased my current lease through and either haven’t gotten responses or have been getting sky-high pricing. I’ve reached out to at least 20 dealers across the states of NY/NJ/PA and I’ve been met with ridiculous/oppressive pricing and dealers not willing to even discuss pricing. I have the GM of Causeway Lincoln, Dave ** telling me he won’t even talk to me (and this is the first time I’ve reached out to them, so not like there is a bad history). Imagine this lunacy when trying to give people business? Now Lincoln is telling me that if I don’t get another vehicle, which I’ve been trying to do for months, that I will be penalized many hundreds of dollars. This is how they treat the loyalty that I’ve given, the money that I’ve spent, and the referrals that I’ve brought them. They’ve told me to buy more or get penalized. This has not only soured my time with the dealers, but with the brand as a whole. Clearly they have gone into the business of confiscation, not customer service.

Purchased a new Ford F-150 on 6/27/2015 from HemBorg Ford in Norco, Ca. External fan came on a few times as soon as the truck was started while we moved the truck in and out of our shop and would not shut off unless we turn engine off and restarted truck. On September 1 after picking the truck up from getting the decals the battery light came on. The following day I made a phone call up to our local mechanic to see if he could check out why the battery light was on since they are a half mile from where I lived. Pulled the truck out of the shop and let it run for about 30 minutes while I cleaned it to see if maybe the light was on because the truck had been sitting in the shop. I then got in the truck and drove off. It is about 12 miles from our shop to the local mechanic shop but after getting on the freeway the Sync system notified me. I was going to lose power to some electric powered features or something of that sort. It didnt repeat it. It only said it once so I cant remember exactly. I turned off the radio and air thinking maybe its a low battery issue. A few minutes later all the indicator lights came on and the truck lost power. I looked in my mirror to get over and to my horror I saw smoke pouring out from under the truck out the back. As soon as I pulled over the smoke was coming out from under the hood as well as flames were starting to come out too. I popped the hood and jumped out looking for my fire extinguisher and in panic could locate it. I ran to the front of the truck and tried to unlatch the hood, but the smoke and flames were pouring out. A guy ran up and started with his fire extinguisher, but we couldnt get the flames down enough to get the hood opened. By the time the fire department got there, the front tires caught fire and blew into the field which started a 5-acre fire which did slightly damage some decks on a few homes. The fire dept didnt put any water on the truck because they were trying to save these peoples homes and I watched in horror. The truck and all our equipment burn to the ground. Some people say why didnt we bring it in when the external fan came on but honestly most people would have even noticed it. I know because we own 9 Fords between our business and personal but since the truck was only at our shop and not in service yet it would be brought in before it was ready to go into service the Ford dealer.I would have brought it to was father then my local mechanic so it wouldnt have made it either way. I am beside myself with this. Did the fan keep coming on because the computer was telling the truck something was hot? Why did the battery light come on (I did take a picture of the dash when I was pulling into the shop after we picked it up from getting decals and it shows the light on. Please help.

I also bought a 2018 F450 and a 2018 Explorer for my wife. 3 trucks in one year from Ford. I bought my 2014 Ford Fiesta Sedan (manual) in late 2013/early 2014 from Sun State Ford in Orlando FL. The car was BRAND NEW. Literally, I drove it off the lot with 7 miles on it. Fast forward to August 2016 and my transmission no longer goes into 3rd gear. I call Sun State Ford and leave a message, wait 2 days... no call back, I call again, no call back, call again next week, no call back. This process continues on for another 2-3 weeks until I finally got back from my travels abroad and decide to call them and act like a new customer. This time I do get a call back and they are more than happy to sell me a new car with their wonderful 15 year 150k mile warranty. After I get all the info I need and confirmation that drivetrain will be covered for 15 years and 150k miles, I change up the story and tell them about the car I bought and how the Finance Manager thats in charge of warranty claims like mine will not speak to me or return my calls.Fast forward 10 minutes of back and fort Q&A from Sun State Ford customer service rep and she tells me Im going to walk to the other side of our campus and have the manager call you directly, please allow me no more than 5 minutes. I oblige and thank her for her wonderful customer service and help, considering shes been the only one to ease my headache of 3 weeks now, almost a month. 5 minutes go by, 10 minutes go by, 15 mins go by, 30 mins go by. I call back, no answer. I call the customer service department... NO ANSWER! Are you ** kidding me???Now, I will be driving 1000 miles in my ** Sun State Ford in Orlando, FL from Baltimore, MD just to raise hell. At the same time I have paid my lawyer $400 to start working on my case. Good luck Ford and Sun State Ford in Orlando FL. Have fun fixing my car and paying me for it. 1/10 Service. Called Roadside Assistance on Christmas Day due to a flat (which of course is a big problem since you no longer have a spare and the inflation kit is worthless if you have any sidewall damage). Here is what transpired. I called and they confirmed a tow in about an hour. After an hour they called back to inform me that they cannot tow me to a dealership that is closed. On December 25th there are no dealerships open in the country!!! I asked if they could tow me home as courtesy especially since it was Christmas Day. They said, No it is out of policy. FYI the Owners Manual states that roadside assistance is available 24/7. PERIOD! No other rules or exceptions.Bottom line they towed me 3 1/2 hours later to a tow lot in literally the worst part of the city from where I had to make home. Forget the fact that I spent 4 hours of Christmas stranded because of Fords unstated policies, missed most of Christmas with my family and my newborn first grandchild. All Ford showed is that their custom care is a fiction (and possibly a violation of several consumer laws as they do not disclose this to their consumers). Bottom line if you need roadside assistance good luck if you need a tow outside of Dealer Hours. They simply dont care about their customers.

A compact four-door, hatchback, 5-speed manual transmission. Fun, affordable little car! Surprisingly with a lot of room for its size and quite zippy. The instrument panel is well designed. My only complaint was the facing around the shifter reflected the sun in the most intense way. I wish they would have used the same material that was used on the dash. Great gas mileage. I chose to use full synthetic oil from day one. Ive had one issue with this vehicle, the radio would not turn off causing the battery to drain. Ford replaced, no problem. I upgraded my tires. The second set made a big difference in the road noise inside the vehicle. I will definitely buy another Ford in the future.

Driving yesterday at 80 km/h, when huge thumping noise started. Thought that my right rear tire had come off. Stopped immediately, tire was still on. Got a couple of my mechanically minded friends to look at the vehicle, they thought it might be the hanger bearing on the 2 piece drive shaft that had failed.I drove it at 3 km/h to a local garage about 5 km away to diagnose it. They suggested that they replace the entire drive shaft with another where the u bolts and the hanger bearing can be replaced. Apparently, the engineering design of the 2008 Ford F150 drive shaft is such that the hanger bearing cannot be replaced, that switching out the entire drive shaft is the only remedy. My concern is that a drive shaft failing after only 33,000 km is extraordinary. And Ford Canada should be willing to do something to help their customer.

2014 FORD EDGE - A high pitch noise started coming from engine compartment
2014 FORD EDGE - A high pitch noise started coming from engine compartment one evening with the vehicle sitting in the garage. The next morning the car was totally dead. Jumped it and local mechanic diagnosed it to a mechanism sticking in the transmission. With only 50,000 miles on the car he recommended dealer service since it should be warrantied still. Already knowing the problem, I made an appointment with the nearest Ford dealer, who was an hour away. I gave them all the information from my mechanic and they gave me a rental car so I could get home and work the next day.The following day they call and say the professionally installed aftermarket auto-start was malfunctioning and they unhooked it and the car was now fine. So I have to pay for the rental car and the shop time, couple hundred dollars. The day after I get home with my wifes car it will not start again. I put a charger on the battery and it will not take a charge. The dealer says they will warranty the battery so I bring it down again to get the battery replaced on a Saturday morning. This will be my 3rd round trip to the dealer, which is an hour away. They replace the battery but make me pay 50 dollars for the new one. The only reason the battery got wrecked was because they left the car outside after I dropped it off and allowed it to drain completely. This should not have happened. I specifically told them they need to bring the car in or put a battery maintainer on it due to the mechanism drawing power constantly with the car off. But they tell me it was not their fault and I have to pay for the battery. After paying for the battery and again being reassured that the auto-start is still the problem and it has been unhooked so I can drive the car until it is repaired, I head to my vehicle to go home. As I approach the car I hear the same high pitch noise that started the whole ordeal! So I promptly go back into the service department and bring the service manager out to hear the noise and tell him it still is not fixed and I am not leaving until they figure it out. They bring it in and actually do a diagnostic on the car and discover that the mechanism is sticking! Exactly what my original, non FORD TECHNICIAN, diagnosed two weeks earlier. They tell me they need to get it in to do more tests before they can order a part but it will not be for 3 weeks until they can look at it again.3 WEEK LATER. I drop the car off, not yet even knowing if they will be covering the repairs under warranty yet or not on this less than 2 yr old vehicle with just over 50000 miles on it. The next day they call and say they have to replace the mechanism and it will be under warranty. It is going be a few days to get the part and get it done. Understandable and we await them calling to tell us it is done.A few days go by and no word. I call and the Service manager says they put the part in but need to do more tests. He calls me back a few hours later and says the computer that is controlling the drive train is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. It is under warranty and they are waiting on the part. I call them next week for a status, my wife and I both work full time and live 8 mile out of town so we rely on 2 vehicles. With different schedules to keep and her needing a vehicle to transport items during the day, we have been begging and borrowing rides for a month already. They say it is on back order and it will be another month and a half until the part is received. I ask if there is any kind of rental assistance or a loaner vehicle we can use until it is fixed. The main reason I am concerned is this is a week before christmas and that is the busiest time of the year for my wife and I and the worst time to be down to one vehicle. They tell me to come get a rental and Ford should cover it. A few days after we get the rental, the dealer calls and says Ford will not pay for a rental and we are going to have to pay for it ourselves. At this point I have made 5 trips to the dealer, who is an hr away one way, paid for mechanic time, battery replacement, and car rental on a problem that should have been covered under warranty. So I ask who I need to talk to about this because I feel as if the dealer is not handling it properly. I get referred to a regional manager 3 TIMES from for customer service and finally on the 3rd time the manager calls me. He, very rudely and arrogantly tells me that warranty does not cover rental or car assistance and we dont qualify for assistance programs. I ask him why we dont and he tells me that he cannot tell me why and he has the final say on it.So I call for corporate offices, feeling like there is no way they could treat someone so ** and care so little for their customers and their satisfaction with their products. After speaking with a very pleasant customer relations lady, the next day the dealer calls and says they will cover the car until the 1st of the year. The status as of today is we still do not have our car fixed. We returned the rental car and paid another 114 dollars for keeping 3 days past the 1st of the year, even though they were not open on the 1st to return the vehicle anyway. And we have no idea when we will even get our vehicle fixed because Ford cannot tell the dealer when a part will be available. Problem started November 10th 2015 and this was written on January 6th 2016. Do NOT buy any FORD PRODUCTS EVERY! Warning! Horrible customer service!

They said its okay to drive while they get the new engine, since we are in Hawaii everything takes a long time to get things anyway. I have a 2010 XLT with the paint blistering down to bare metal on both sides of the truck. (pictures attached) I am seeing this on many of the trucks of this vintage in my town and they all look very similar. Ford wont do anything about this unless there is a perforation right through. This is clearly related to the paint not being prepped properly. I also had to have the bonnet on this truck painted after 6 months after buying it new because it was blistering behind the edge of the grill. I had a 1998 xlt with 300K on it and I drove it until 2010. The driving conditions were exactly the same and the paint had no issues. I had a guy at Ford tell me on the QT that some people are drilling holes in the problem area and letting it rust to get around Fords policy and fix it. I didnt want to do this so I talked to the dealer, contacted national reps from the US and Canada on this forum.... Big fat nothing.So... after 24 straight years of driving nothing but Ford trucks my new Ram will be here on Friday. IMO Fords quality has gone down and their policy on paint sucks. Sour grapes, you bet!!! Please reply if you have paint problems. I think this is a widespread problem Ford should be dealing with. Get out your drills boys if you want this fixed.

I purchased my Ford F450 Platinum (6.7 diesel fuel system) new. I have had this truck serviced at great expense since it was new and usually ahead of schedule. If ford service said it needed something I did it. If Ford service said it might need something I did it. I am now at 87k miles and had my High Pressure Fuel system go out. Ford dealer is telling me 10K dollars. Telling me I have purchased bad fuel but when they took a fuel sample there was no water in the fuel. So now Ford wont stand good for their product, the insurance probably wont pay for it because there is no evidence of contamination, and that leaves one option. I am going to be out 10K dollars. Not to mention at a time I am retiring from the military. Just plain sad. I am through with Ford.

I leased a 2017 Fusion Energi in late December. About three weeks ago, I found the battery completely dead. After jumping the vehicle, I took it to the dealership (521 miles on the vehicle). After numerous discussions with the dealership, as well as Ford Customer support, I have been told that the part is back ordered with no delivery date identified. In the meantime, I have to continue making the payments, etc. while I wait for a resolution. Ford has offered no options related to this situation other than to wait for the part which, as I state, has no delivery date associated with it. This car gets good gas mileage for a full size car. It has automatic mirror adjustments. I like that it has an automatic gear shift. I like the way the brakes work. I like that you can see out of the car well. I also like the sound of the radio and speakers. It tells you the temperature inside and outside the car. It has plenty leg room and headroom. You dont hear a lot of outside noise. It is easy to handle. I would include a backup camera and a GPS though. Other than that it is a perfect car and I love it. I wouldnt care if it was a little be smaller but not much. I would like that indicator that tells you when you are too close to a car on the side. I would like side airbags too. I would like that feature that stops the car when you get too close in front. I would like that indicator that beeps when you back too close to anything. I would also like a seat warmer for the winter.

My wife and I had a 2008 f350 for my work. We saved up a whole year and bought the truck. We had it for about 5 months and it caught on fire, burned to the ground. It was not running or keys in ignition. We contacted ford and sent the all info they asked for and their response was that the fire was too big to determine if it was the vehicle fault. So we are out of luck. We could only afford liability and now we have nothing. Ford does not care about its customers. I am a veteran and my wife is a teacher.

I bought a 2105 Ford 150 XLT 4WD and on Dec 22nd 2017 it seems fuel pump went out. Had to get truck towed so called roadside. They said it would be 3 hours so I waited. No one showed. Called roadside back come to find out someone cancelled. Did not tow until Dec 23 2017. Since truck has been in shop date changes on parts coming in to fix. First date was Jan 12th 2018. Now Jan 25th 2018. Still no action. Tried calling Ford direct 4 times. Cant get through and dealership keeps making excuses.

This was in 2017, my 2016 Ford Transit Connect Sunroof curtain was jammed and will not close when my warranty mileage was still under 30k miles. When I called the Ford dealer in Hagerstown MD to look at it they told me to bring it in on their next available date which was almost 1 wk plus away. I told them that I was traveling out of state; anyway when I finally took the van to them they told me that my warranty was 1k 100 miles off to call Ford motors. When I called them they told me to call my branch dealer which I told that I have already did & they told me that they cant do anything about it. So now Im stucked with this defective curtain rail that will not close. Still Love my little Transit connect.

I purchased a 2019 Edge ST and its already been to the dealership twice. Neither of which they have confirmed anything (on paper). My transmission gets to 3rd gear then comes out of gear, continuing to rev, before finally kicking over to 4th gear after a couple of seconds. Same gear, every time. First time I took it in (January 2019), they said the tech couldnt duplicate it, so I took him for a drive. He saw what it was doing but because his little laptop didnt show anything, he wrote on the work order he couldnt confirm the issue. They cleared the adaptive learning it apparently has and all was fine for a couple of weeks. Then, same gear, same issue. Took it back (March 2019). Same response - cant confirm and its not throwing a code soooo... here I sit. It also jumps forward when trying to slow down (ie pull into parking spot or stop sign) but I wont even make the attempt to get them to duplicate that issue.

The car has 17250 miles on it, its 2014 Fiesta Titanium. I have been having transmission problems. Shuddering, shaking, jerking, jolting, sudden or delayed acceleration have all been problems. Low speeds seem to be an issue with it. It seems to shudder in between 1st and 2nd gears. I also have had it stall while in reverse. I have taken it to the Ford dealership, they are aware of the issue, have had multiple complaints, and said they would reprogram the software to make the shift changes more smooth. It is still exhibiting the same issues - harsh shuddering, gears slipping, clicking and noises. Its just a matter of time before this vehicle kills someone. I wasnt told that this car would operate any differently than any other car. The dealership says that all of these symptoms are normal for the kind of transmission that they sold me and that its still safe to drive. Even when I took it in to get reprogrammed for the shuddering, the technician said that its still going to do it. What?! It wasnt doing it before and now you want me to deal with a shuddering vehicle? And you say you still cant fix it? Thats terrible. Ive owned Fords all my life and this is my first new car and I feel like Ive made a terrible decision and its barely got 20,000 miles on it. More importantly, the safety. Ive had more than one close call with trying to accelerate and the transmission not responding in enough time to get out of the way. Operates unlike any other vehicle Ive owned and not in a good way.

At the beginning of June I was lucky enough to notice that one of my doors was not closing before I left my parking spot. I had the car towed in to a Ford service center and was expecting it to have it fixed within a couple of days. I mean it is just a door latch (which they made out of PLASTIC by the way). After a few days of waiting I find out that they want to hold onto the car until at least September, for some reason they dont have this simple part anywhere in stock. Thats at least 3 MONTHS without a car that I am paying monthly and they are offering some rental car reimbursement for a small compact car which is only about $30 a day and I think the cheapest rental car is $35, nowhere near the value of the car I am leasing from them. If it was only for a week or two then I would have no problem with that. I have called them numerous times in order to work something out, maybe get the same value car rental compared to the one I am leasing, but they dont want to do anything. The customer means NOTHING to this company. You are absolutely 0 to them. As long as they are getting money from you they dont care how you are being inconvenienced.I had the pleasure of speaking to the regional manager of Ford in NY and she was utterly useless. The first time she called she couldnt even locate the car after I gave her the VIN and the dealership where the car is located. The second time she called she basically told me she cant do anything using her resources, another word I heard thrown around while on the phone with them. Its like they work on favors. She made it sound like I should feel privileged that they are even offering me a rental in the first place. She told me that the dealer can use their resources, again this word, and try to get the part faster or something. They are basically making me call everyone for them instead of them solving the issue. Its not my job do that, its theirs. Its the reason why they get paid. In my opinion this person gets paid for no reason and her job should be given to someone else that can actually help the customer. So to review: stuck 3 months without a car I am paying for, Ford is offering a partial reimbursement for a rental, Ford regional manager is useless (she does anything but manage). I will never in my life consider buying/leasing a Ford product again (including Lincoln).

Updated on 02/18/2020: So I call Ford Customer service today, again and because I havent received any updates on my complaint I ask for Adriana **s supervisor to see if maybe I can get a ending in all this ridiculous and absurd case of malfunctioning Ford USB navigation update. So again nothing, I have to wait and see if this supervisor will respond....I will keep calling and posting because this is the only way that I may help others not to make the same mistake and purchase a navigation system update by using the USB that Ford is selling for 152 dollars.Updated on 02/12/2020: After I received an email from Ford customer service said that I need to call the Ford dealer director....after a month 1/2....I decided to call today again and I call 7 times asking for help....the last person that I talked to told me that I have to call 18009008458....navigation system customer support, so I spoke with Melanie, explain my problem and you are not going to believe this, she said that there is nothing she can do, that I have to call Ford customer service 18003923673...again. I call 7 times today....Sorry you have to call back so they can call us.... call us....I pay 154 for an update on my navigation system and 107 to fix the part that was damage by the USB that Ford send me and now there is no one who is responsible to all this and there is nothing that I can do to have my money back.Original Review: Im the owner of a Ford F150 and I was advised by a letter from Ford motor company that my navigation system needed an update and for me to be able to have it I have to purchase. Went to the website and after writing down the VIN number and the navigation system code I paid 175 dollars. After a fews day I received and USB with all the installed instructions. The truck need to be running and it will take around 60 minutes, so I sat and followed the instructions, after a few seconds my screen was white and said navigation system error and then the alarm of the truck went off and the radio. So I decided to call to the number that it was showing in the USB box. Customer support. I was talking to a person name Jasmin. Tried really because her background was a baby crying, so she put me on hold. Wait and wait. I decided to call my Ford dealership and explain the situation. The only solution it was for me to drove and get my battery. That resolve the sound problem, but my navigation system was white and showed a navigation error. So I decided to made an appointment to the following day which was Monday at 9am. Monday the only person who does fix this type of problem show up and say, I dont have time today, come back tomorrow, maybe tomorrow. maybe? So I need another appointment to Thursday at 8am. There I was listening to the manager talking to customer service. Doesnt she has a guarantee? Yes she has. Well let order the part. Part? I just need an update. As a result I have to paid another 107. The USB that I received from Ford motor company damaged my navigation system and a part needed to be replaced. I call Ford motor complaint department and explain all the situation, and after a month of calls and emails I received an email said this is the director phone number for you to call it. What I want, I want my money back thats all. There was nothing wrong with my pickup before all this update thing. Did I got my update. I dont think so no.

I have owned several Ford vehicles over the years. They have been mostly dependable. My worst experience so far has been the Ford 5.4L 3v in my latest pickup. I have had to do both cam phasers and the dreaded breaking spark plugs. It has otherwise been reliable and I have had no issues since the phasers were done 20,000 mi ago. Previous vehicles had only minor issues such as starters, alternators, O2 sensors, steering components, and other things you would expect to replace on an aging vehicle. I plan to buy another in the future.

I own a Transit full-size van T350 built 5/2015 used for business. After 38000 miles the left rear axle seal failed and was replaced 11/30/16. One day later the hole axle seized after just 50 miles. After the warranty repair. It took to January 10/2017 to rebuild the rear axle (no parts available!!!) and to get the van back from the Dealer (Ford of Clermont, FL). Since then the van is creating a loud howling noise between 50 and 60 mph and a loud deep vibration noise over 70 mph. Four more attempts to repair/adjust. Did not fix the issue. Since 12/1/2016 the van spent over 100 days in the workshop trying to fix the rear axle under warranty without success. Since 4 weeks my dealer tries to get in touch with a Ford engineer to assess the issue. Without success. In the meantime the right axle seal failed and spilled all the oil on the road. In addition to the incompetence of the dealership Ford Customer Service is at no service for a customer who has a more complex issue than an oil change. I called Ford customer service several times but all they do is to get you in touch with the dealers management. Ford Customer Service is only set up to make you feel good and to mediate between dealer and customer. I feel that my only option now is to sue the dealer and Ford to get this faulty rear axle replaced.

I have had most of the issues mentioned in other complaint threads; and then some. Just recently, I had more Edge issues when three (3) ignition coils exploded under light acceleration. Brought car to my mechanic, since FORD has been expensive and fixes never seem to be fixes, plus vehicle is out-of-warranty. This round of repairs was first estimated at $800 but after coils were replaced - they blew again, as the computer was shorting and surging the coils. My new estimate is $2000 for the coils and a new computer. My Edge has 140k miles and I was pondering even fixing the vehicle. Since I was already committed to the initial $800 repair, even if I chose to junk it afterwards, I decided to go with the fix. I pondered trying to use an aftermarket computer but mechanic said vehicle would have to be towed off his lot, as he could not allow vehicle to be driven. Apparently it is classified as an explosion/fire concern. Mechanic was actually surprised that vehicle didnt catch fire when the coils burst under the surge when computer malfunctioned while I was driving it. Prior issues: This issue is second time that I have had to replace ignition coils; first time was around 60k miles. As I think about it now, I cant help but think that this computer may be the root cause of my other Sync related issues. Those issues include: Sync GPS doesnt work at all. Ford wants $300 to reprogram for 4th time. I refuse. Back-up camera not going off after car is removed from reverse and placed back in Drive. Frequent battery replacements due to high draw of electronics.Other issues include: 3 different doors had sensors (including latches) replaced. I had to pay $700 for each as I couldnt worry about wife being stranded with 4 yr old (at the time). Power steering has never seemed right but no fix other than topping off fluid. Car master brake cylinder failure (first time car was confiscated) also caused premature brake wear and replacement of rotors and pads. However, the main reason that I will NEVER BUY A FORD AGAIN is the customer service and constant assertions that this is MY FAULT and NOT THEIR FAULT.My brake issues baffled me. On my first three trips to Ford service, the service reps said that they didnt see, hear or feel any issues with the brakes; even with a published possible recall concern in their hand. They treated me like I was lying about the issue. On fourth visit, the vehicle was held as unsafe and I was given a rental car. Turns out that it was such a common safety recall that the part was not available and back-ordered for two weeks. The faulty master cylinder caused premature pad wear and rotors required replacement as well. Go figure that the pads were a few weeks out of warranty when they needed to be replaced again. While on the topic, FORD OEM parts are horrible. Ford Corporate was not happy with my call from the dealership and they did not comply with my demands to remove me from their mailing list. To make matters worse, I was billed for the rental car because of poor accounting between dealership and rental agency. Thankfully, I noticed the charge on my credit card statement because I was never told that I was being billed. Rental agency just billed the card that I was required to place on file for incidentals. I fought for 3 weeks between two companies before they found where THEY WENT WRONG. So now I am sitting here - writing this review - wondering what else will go wrong with this vehicle after this round of repairs.

First Ford Truck and within 5k miles, check engine light comes on. It goes on and off, cant be reproduced and now at 20k miles, it has been in the shop for 3+ weeks 2 different times waiting to be fixed. The first time, dealer could not reproduce the problem after 3 weeks and within 2 days of me getting it back, the light came back on. Now, it has been at a different dealer for 2 + weeks and while they diagnosed it, they have too many vehicles in front of mine to look at it sooner than another 1.5 weeks. No loaners available. Have to leave it at the dealer or I lose my place in line. Terrible customer service. Big let down - will be looking to trade this FORD Junk in for a different brand once they ever get it fixed.UPDATE ON 09/26/2018: Overall, when I purchase a new vehicle for 36+k, I do not expect it to have engine problems. After leaving the truck at the Ford Dealer for 4+ weeks, it was finally completed. I spent a fair amount of time explaining to their Service Manager all of the hassles I have had with this brand new truck. The dealers Ford Rep agreed to offer a Premium Extended Warranty to restore some good will. Having Ford offer a Premium Extended Warranty for the “hassle” is not really going above and beyond to help customers. It is expected at the very least. After calling into Ford Customer Service and getting someone that basically reads from a ‘script’ and does not really care about the customer, my confidence in Ford’s customer service is completely gone. In addition, there is hardly any management of dealers and how they provide customer service on new Ford vehicles. Not impressed. In fact, while this was going on with my Ford Truck, my Chevy Traverse Check Engine light came on. I took it to the Chevy Dealer we normally go to and the customer service was stellar, it was night and day difference between the Ford Dealer. I get each Dealer needs to determine how they go to market and serve their customers, but, Ford does not seem to care as long as people buy their vehicle.

2016 Ford Edge Titanium - this is my everyday commuter vehicle and I have to say that the overall driving experience, quality and features available at this price point is very disappointing. At ~ 40,000km I had the brake pads replaced and rotors machined which was surprising because I’m very easy on the brakes. At 45,000km my sunroof malfunctioned/wouldn’t close so it had to be replaced. The dealer broke my sunshade while replacing my sunroof so it had to be replaced. The icing on the cake was that the back window shattered for no reason (I literally mean no reason!) at 88,000km. I’ve owned several good/reliable Ford vehicles (08 Ford Escape Limited, 2013 Taurus SHO, and 2007 Ford F-150 FX4) and I can’t believe how much the quality has declined. This has been a very disappointing and regrettable purchase for me. There are lots of vehicles in this segment where you get more bang for your buck. Stay away from the Edge!

Two weeks ago l took delivery on a new ordered Ford Lariat f150, paying 52000 plus tax in full. Beautiful high end truck with 20 inch chrome wheels. Two days after taking delivery I was installing wheel locks. I noticed one rim was damaged with two 1/8 by 1/8 by 1/8 puncture marks in the chrome which were starting to show signs of rust and had fine scratches in the chrome as someone tried to remove the defect. It appears that someone dropped the rim and tire on some sort of sharp object. I returned to the Ford dealer where they took pictures and filed a complaint with Ford. Declined, they appealed a second time and that was declined by Ford. The dealer has offered a new rim for an additional 500 plus dollars. Advice, just because a vehicle is expensive and new check the cosmetics of the vehicle THOROUGHLY. Dont close the deal if you see any cosmetic damage. Dont expect Ford to provide ANY assistance for this type of damage.

Just had my Ford F150 go up in flames while parked in the driveway. Truck was last used Saturday Morning 2/7/2015 and went up in flames 2/9/2015 at approx 4 am. Woke up to a horn going off, went into my daughters room and looked out front of our house and saw flames 15 ft high. Told my wife to get the kids downstairs and evacuated them to the backyard. Called 911 and ran out front to move my other car out of the driveway. Thank god my neighbors came out and helped me put the fire out or things would of been much worse. Fire started in the Engine compartment and burned most of the hood off before we could put the fire out. Ford should take responsibility...This is a very serious problem and needs to be addressed immediately!!!
