2022 Ford GT Holman-Moody Heritage Edition revealed ahead of New York auto show
Posted On: April 13, 2022
The Ford GT is almost at the end of the road, at least for this generation, but before it bows out we'll see a few more special editions. Hot on the heels of the GT Alan Mann Heritage Edition unveiled during February's 2022 Chicago Auto Show comes another Heritage Edition, this one honoring Holman-Moody. The American race team based in Charlotte, North Carolina, campaigned three GT40 race cars in the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans—the one in which Ford made an epic 1-2-3 finish. One of the Holman-Moody cars, bearing racing number 5 (chassis number P/1016), was the car that finished third. First and second places went to GT40s fielded by Shelby American. Holman-Moody along with Shelby also helped develop the GT40's race-winning 7.0-liter V-8, as well as the brake, suspension and tire setups. Incidentally, the no. 5 GT40 was put up for auction in 2018 and sold for $9,795,000. 2022 Ford GT Holman-Moody Heritage Edition The modern Ford GT Holman-Moody Heritage Edition matches the gold and red livery that the no. 5 GT40 carried at the 1966 Le Mans race, while adding modern touches like exposed carbon fiber. The Brembo brake calipers are black with silver accents. Carbon fiber features in the cabin as well, appearing on door sills and center console, and is joined by black Alcantara with gold accent stitching on the seats, plus a mix of black Alcantara and black leather on the dash and steering wheel. GT Heritage Edition cars don't come with any powertrain mods. This means the GT Holman-Moody is powered by the standard 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V-6, good for 660 hp. The engine is hooked to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and spins the rear wheels only. The arrival of the GT Holman-Moody brings the total number of GT Heritage Edition models to nine, and it's the last of the special editions paying tribute to the GT40 Mk II race cars that completed the 1-2-3 sweep at the 1966 Le Mans race. Ford hasn't said how many build slots will be available, though earlier examples have numbered as high as 50 units. Note, these cars don't increase the total run of 1,350 units Ford will build for this generation of its GT supercar, whose production run will come to an end in December. The Ford GT Holman-Moody Heritage Edition makes its formal debut at the 2022 New York International Auto Show which starts on April 13. I have a 2018 F-150 with a 3.0L diesel. I bought it new and it now has 15000 miles on it. In the past 7 months I have had an issue with it losing engine oil pressure. The dealership has put 2 new oil sensors in it and the problem still exists. I have taken it back in to have the issue resolved. Ford Motor told the dealership that its an oil pump issue. That was a week and a half ago. I left the truck and Ford was suppose to overnight a new oil pump. The part took a week to get to the dealer, and then it was the wrong part! So Im still waiting with no end in sight. Ford only cares about selling vehicles. Customer care is not important them.

Buying the Ecosport was a mistake.
Buying the Ecosport was a mistake. 1) The size does not allow more than two to travel comfortably, especially on long trips. The trunk is tiny and the rear seats are needed for luggage. 2) The economy factor is negligent when compared to our former Ford Escape. Gas, upkeep, and general savings are costing about the same as before. 3) Comfort is absent. The seats do not present a good ride at all on anything but a good highway. Even then it’s noisy. Nor is it meant for country driving at all. I wish we had been told.4) The dealership was not helpful when I asked for their help in going back to an Escape. The sales man said it was cost prohibitive and to call him in a few months. That’s not happening.I’ve hated this car from day one. I can’t wait to change vehicles at another dealership and another company.

Very disappointed with Ford Motor Company. We purchased 2012 Ford Focus with 92,000 miles for my daughter in college. Good dependable vehicle - after 1.5 months the SYNC radio started to go in and out. After about a week of this - completely black screen. My daughter is at college and could not get back to dealer we purchased it from - they made repair of the SYNC module for $907. I then found that Ford had a warranty for this issue, regardless of miles - but limited to 5 years. So Ford says tough luck to me - while I find this terrible that with hands free and safety concerns that Ford would not stand behind this issue when they know they have one. My dad, My dads brother, My dads dad, My moms dad dad, 3 other uncles all retired from Ford Motor Company - some even drove test cars for Henry Ford 1st. I will never purchase another Ford product again after knowing that they know they have issue but refuse to address the issue when they know it was never fixed.Areal was the man who took my call at Ford and said that no one else would ever tell me different - it expired and Ford does not care that the hands free is not functional for phone in their car they manufacture. I WILL ONLY BUY GENERAL MOTOR VEHICLES FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE - this is terrible service FORD MOTOR COMPANY. Shame on you. Gerald **.

I purchased a 2012 Ford Certified Pre-Owned Focus in August of 2015. The car had just over 22,000 miles. It was in exceptionally good condition and appeared to be well cared for. I was very reluctant to buy a Ford product because I had a terrible experience with Ford 15+ years ago. I planned to purchase a Chevy Cruze when a friend told me to reconsider Ford and look at a Focus. I visited a Ford dealer and compared the Focus to the Cruze. They were pretty comparable across the board. My daughter pushed for the Focus. We drove a Focus and talked to a couple different dealers quite a bit. I remained skeptical. The dealer convinced us to buy a Certified Focus because it came with an extended the bumper to bumper warranty for 12 months/12,0000 miles and a powertrain warranty extension to 7 years/100,000 miles. The warranty convinced me to give Ford a second chance. My daughter really likes her car and has no real complaints so far.Last week, the car came due for the first oil change. I told her to take it to the Ford Dealer and also let them know that the transmission was not shifting correctly as well as the vents in the rear deck were disintegrating. If you touch them and they literally turn to dust. The dealer told her that the transmission was part of a recall and that she would need to make an appointment to have it reprogrammed. The rear deck was not covered under warranty. I called the dealer back and spoke to the service dept letting them know the car is Ford Certified and that it should be covered under the extended bumper to bumper coverage. The service writer told me that the 12 Month/12,000 mile warranty expires on 8/8/2016, however, Ford CPO is a limited warranty that covers selected parts. They also clarified that Ford CPO does NOT extend the bumper to bumper warranty. It is a limited warranty. There is a specific list of items that are covered. The Ford warranty also has a $100 deductible. That was news to me. I had purchased vehicles certified by other manufacturers and never had a deductible or been told that the bumper to bumper portion has a limited list of repairs. The Ford sales people made it sound the same as other CPO programs.I decided to call Ford Motor Company to verify what I was told. Prior to calling I did some research into the issues we reported with our Focus. Apparently both issues are known problems with Focus sedans. Ford issued a Technical Service Bulletin documenting the rear deck problem and provided instructions for dealers how to perform the repair. The transmission was recalled as we were told. Seems pretty straight forward so far.I called Ford and spoke to Amanda. I told her about the Ford Focus Owners website where there are many complaints about the rear deck dissolving into powder and provided the TSB number that documents the problem. Amanda kept informing me that she was not aware of the issue and kept trying to refer me back to the dealer. I went round and round with her. She seemed quick with the phrases: I am not aware of the issue, I do not have access to that information, I am not able to diagnose the problem over the phone. She was clearly trying to get me off the phone. I was not asking her for a diagnosis. I informed her that a Ford dealer already did the diagnosis. I told her I wanted to know if the warranty covers replacement of the failed parts. The car at this point had 28,000 miles and should not be dissolving into dust. She said that she had conflicting information about coverage. One document said the repair should be covered, the other said it was not. She said she would call me back after doing some research. I never received a callback.I waited a few days and contacted Ford Motor Company again. I spoke to Nick this time. Nick said that there was no record of my previous call. I was not surprised. I had to start over and tell him the whole story. I went round and round again. It was nearly a repeat conversation. Nick like Amanda insisted that he could not diagnose the car over the phone. I was starting to get angry because I clearly was NOT asking for a diagnosis. I asked again and again if the part identified in the TSB failed, does the Ford CPO warranty cover the repair? Seemed pretty clear to me, but he kept trying to make the issue about the diagnosis and again kept repeating that he could not diagnose the issue over the phone and that I needed to go to a Ford dealer. I bet he said I dont have access to that information or some variant of it at least 10+ times. We continued to go round and round. Finally I decided to go in a different direction and ask what parts of the rear deck are covered by Ford CPO. Progress at last. The answer was there are 2 part numbers. One was covered, one was not. The part that is known to fail, is documented as failing repeatedly by Ford, and has a Ford TSB issued for the repair IS NOT COVERED by warranty. The other part number that doesnt have any issues is covered by the warranty. If you are considering a Ford CPO used car, do your homework. Fords warranty is NOT like other CPO programs on the market. Ford limits what they cover and also requires you to pay a deductible. They do a good job with marketing to create the impression that their program is valuable. Dont be fooled! I should have verified Ford CPO against the GM CPO on the Chevy Cruise. It was my own fault for trusting them and not reading before we purchased the Focus. My 19 year old daughter now understands why I was so reluctant to buy Ford. The way Ford representatives handled my call both times was extremely frustrating. I will avoid the Ford CPO program in the future and suggest any reader do the same. We tried 3 times through the dealership and twice with Ford. We received the message and wanted to share it with people.

Ford Customer Service treats its customers like 2nd class citizens. They tell you one thing then do another. The settlement offer payment I sent in on 09/19/12 took almost 2 weeks to post. Now I was told that they are selling my vehicle at a private sale if I do not send in the balance plus repossession fee which I have already done. It was delivered at 8:57am on 10/09/12 and as of now it has not been posted to my account. I have sent the money both times and Ford has faltered on their end by not posting the payments in a timely manner. They have moved the vehicle from 100 miles to 200 miles away. Now I have to get someone to go with so that I can get my vehicle if Ford decided to post the payment. Do not worry that there will most likely be another post if I ended up losing my vehicle because of the way Ford does business. I would never recommend Ford or Ford Credit to even my worst enemy, much less a friend.

I went to the Ford Credit website on January 9th to make January payment due January 7. After making payment, I checked the box to extract payments automatically on the due date heretofore, thinking that this would start in February. Apparently by checking that box, my payment was not applied to January. There is no smart feature on that site that applies the funds to the last payment due and no payment was made until February 7, skipping January. I did not notice this and on March 2, I received a robo-call stating that my account was seriously delinquent and to call Ford Credit ASAP. This came as a total surprise to me.I spoke to a very helpful rep named Windy, who read the situation clearly, but also told me that my account was reported delinquent to the credit bureaus. She understood what happened and it was obvious that I didnt check in on January 9 for any reason other than to make payment. She referred it to a supervisor. Over the next week, I spoke to 3 more reps and 2 supervisors. They told me that I should give it 30 days. Today Im at 30 days and dealt with two people this morning who were completely unsympathetic to my issue and kept reading me the rules. My contention that the system should be programmed to apply payment to the last payment due was met with deaf ears and was told that even after submitting written complaints electronically, that they must be written in pen and ink to be considered for reversal.I have invested at least 8 hours with this company to resolve an issue that was triggered by software that is programmed by them. Hence an internal Ford issue. This can easily be resolved by a company that actually values its customers. I had a similar technical issue with BMW a few years back and it was resolved efficiently and with great courtesy. Within 3 days I received a letter of reversal from them and all three credit bureaus were notified. Ford apparently has a banking arm that is way behind virtually every other I have dealt with regard to treating its customers fairly. I will continue this pursuit to clear my credit. I will never buy another Ford product again.

This “car” (Ford Escape 2014) is the perfect example of why I’ll never own another Ford for as long as I can still drive. Major recalls (this one’s the special one that had engine overheating issues that would cause it to essentially meltdown). I had that issue 2 days after pulling off the lot, brand new. Most expensive thing I own outside of a home. It took 3 wks for that issue, and 2 days after, had a failure of the Sync system (that still never works as it should). At that time, I offered to spend more $ to upgrade to the model w/out the issues, and was told Ford can’t do that nor could they work with the dealer. All told, this car has had something on the order of 15 recalls. I paid for the extended warranty, and at 1000 miles over the 50K, the turbo and coolant system failed (related to early overheating issues) locking the entire car up. Called for roadside, was notified that my warranty was expired, no roadside, no warranty. Spent hours (literally 10+ over 4 days) begging for some sort of help. Ultimately, just told the dealer to proceed w/ the repair, planning to continue revisiting W/ Ford for some sort of help. Dealer called to say there were no parts in stock, and best case was 3 months!! That’s no joke! And no offer of help with a rental. Customer service means doing the right thing for the customer, and that doesn’t mean making that customer beg for assistance. Ultimately, after spending all the time, they covered it. Fast forward to today - at 56K, the transmission just popped up alerting me that it has failed and should be serviced immediately. So, I’m back on the phone w/ Ford and fully expecting pushback. Never ever again.

We parked our truck at our apartment complex again with no signs of anything that could have triggered a fire. At 11:30 pm our neighbors had notified us that our truck was on fire. The fire department arrived about 20 minutes into the fire leaving the truck completely nonexistent. The fire department told us the fire had started in the engine. Ive never heard of some kind of recall in these models of trucks, Ford company should be responsible for all these damages.

When I leased my 18 Escape I immediately noticed the variable transmission was shifting strangely. It is one of the new versions that pause when you are stopped at a light. However it was banging into gear at times. I brought it in, they did some work on it, and when I left the problem was still there. I went back to the dealership the next day, drove with the service advisor (very nice guy), and was told that is actually the way it should be working. At that point accepted my poor purchase and moved on. Fast forward 6 months later the car is now lurching forward as it shifts into gears at sporadic times. Totally unsafe, not sure what to do. I bought the Ford Sport Trac new in MAY 2010. I had all the scheduled dealer maintenance completed as scheduled and the vehicle has never been off road. The four-wheel drive has been engaged twice, and the majority of the miles have been on the highway. Thirty miles from FT Leonard Wood the transmission began slipping. The vehicle was sluggish when accelerating from a stopped position causing a hazard in city driving or merging onto the interstate. The vibration increased on the highway at speeds above 50 MPH making it difficult to steer. When I arrived at my destination, I dropped it at the dealership the next day for service. The service representative called and informed 2 maintenance lights were on for engine and transmission service. I agreed to move forward with the scheduled maintenance. The dealership called later that day and informed me I needed a new transmission but could not explain what the codes meant or the cost of repair. I asked for clarification, but no one ever got back to me with an update. I received a text my truck was ready for pick up, but the staff could not explain the problem. I am now at day seven and after countless phone calls to the dealership and Ford customer service line. No one can explain the issue or offer assistance because the vehicle is not under warranty! My questions. Why is the transmission shot after only 37,000 miles? If it is replaced, what reassurance do I have this problem will not reoccur in another 37,000 miles? Is there assistance for a drive train component replacement that is supposed to last 100,000 miles and likely defective? Why is this a warranty issue and not a quality issue? The staff at the Ford customer service center try to keep bouncing back to the dealership and refuse to put me in contact with the regional manager or supervision staff. I finally got a call and they offered to replace the transmission for $5,000. Told me I could take it or leave it.

My husband & I were Ford truck believers for many years until 2016! From our past experience, we expected our 2008 F450 diesel (with the 6.4L engine), would take us into retirement and beyond until the engine blew up this year, with just over 100,000 miles! $18455.66 later, and a lousy 2 year warranty on the new (same, defective engine), we found out that this engine is expected to fail around 100,000 miles making it the worst engine in the Ford truck line. (Our 1999 F350 is still on the road at 250,000+ miles!)I tried to contact Fords Customer Service (which is really their Customer Dis-service as the one answering the phone only has a first name and no boss to appeal to). My expectation was to get a reasonable 10 year / 100,000 mile warranty on the new engine instead of a crappy 2 year warranty (which is equivalent to a 30,000 mile warranty). The mechanics told us they could bulletproof the replacement engine, after the 2 year warranty expired, for about $8000! My question is, why isnt the replacement engine bulletproofed already? What was once a great company with integrity has been replaced by fraud and failure. I am embarrassed to be driving a Ford after my humble retirement account has been robbed of $20,000.

2016 Ford Edge Titanium - this is my everyday commuter vehicle and I have to say that the overall driving experience, quality and features available at this price point is very disappointing. At ~ 40,000km I had the brake pads replaced and rotors machined which was surprising because I’m very easy on the brakes. At 45,000km my sunroof malfunctioned/wouldn’t close so it had to be replaced. The dealer broke my sunshade while replacing my sunroof so it had to be replaced. The icing on the cake was that the back window shattered for no reason (I literally mean no reason!) at 88,000km. I’ve owned several good/reliable Ford vehicles (08 Ford Escape Limited, 2013 Taurus SHO, and 2007 Ford F-150 FX4) and I can’t believe how much the quality has declined. This has been a very disappointing and regrettable purchase for me. There are lots of vehicles in this segment where you get more bang for your buck. Stay away from the Edge!

A few years ago, I purchased a 2004 White Police Interceptor Crown Victoria. Shortly after the purchase, I noticed that the paint was peeling and blowing away with the wind. This was not my first experience with this condition, so I knew immediately what was wrong. Incompatibility between the paint and primer used at the factory. At the start of flaking, I scraped away the loose paint on the edges of the patch, primered it with a spray can hoping to seal the edges and not allow the wind to lift more of the paint. Then I repainted the spots with a spray can of white paint. Sorry to report that this patch only lasted a matter of weeks before the wind got under the original paint once again and flaking continued. I have a bunch of pictures showing this condition covering most of the roof and trunk lid as well spots on the rest of the car. I had thought of putting a sign on the car stating that this was an original Ford paint job that was flaking away, but I havent done that yet. I had to at least prime the roof spots because rust was starting to show. I called Ford service only to find out the people who answered were not Ford employees, but a company hired as gatekeepers to fend off pesky complaints that they probably dumped in the trash at the end of each shift. Apparently Ford is not interested in owning up to their mistake with the paint job as they have ignored my request for a fix. As I said above, this is not my first experience with this issue.I purchased a 1986 Ford F-150 that exhibited the exact same problem with the paint, and after much correspondence with Ford (at that time you could talk directly to a Ford rep.), they recalled the truck, stripped the paint completely and repainted the whole truck. I am very pleased with this car in every other way and would be forever grateful if someone out there could reach into Ford and bring this to their attention, and hopefully, a satisfactory resolution. Thanks.

I had to have the intake manifold replaced on my 1997 Ford Crown Victoria LX this year, 2014. Ford has acknowledged this flaw, avoided having an official recall issued, notified their Fleet & Commercial consumers and, quietly, without any sort of notification, offered private owners a repair/repair reimbursement offer that was only in effect for 90 days. This is an outrage! I want to be reimbursed for the money I had to spend to have this repair done. ANYBODY ELSE WITH ME ON THIS?!?

I purchased a 2011 Ford Edge Certified pre-owned with 26000 miles. This vehicle has been in for major repairs within the last two years. Vehicle has AWD. The power transfer unit failed at approximately 60000 miles. The backup camera does not work at all. Just a blank black screen. Several valves went bad. The car was at a Ford dealer for 12 days. The backup camera no longer works. Its just a black screen. The only thing to be done with is replace it at the tune of $866.00. I did not have the camera replaced due to the substantial cost. The latest problem is the catalytic converters. They went bad at 75000 miles. The service engine soon comes on and flashes and then goes off. Called dealer and took it in. This was in January 2017.I was told both catalytic converters have to be replaced. The dealership told me they would have both converters by mid-February 2017. I called them at the end of the February and now they do not know when they will be getting the catalytic converters in. Really??? Note that I am still driving the vehicle and have not been offered a rental car as of yet. I was told not to take the vehicle on long trips because of the converters being bad. How long am I going to have to wait to have this fixed??? This will be the last thing that gets fixed on this car because if one more thing happens to it I will be getting rid of it. I am very disappointed in Ford and I have had several. Time to look at the foreign SUVs.

The car has been great using. My only concern has been the forward collision sensors and some of the USB connections with the Phone does not work Properly. Turning radius is OK not great. Pick up is very good and gas mileage is about 20 miles highway and city. Handling could use some improvement. The center lane is great as well as the adaptive cruise control which works even in slow traffic, for me this is the best part of the car but you need to get the top line to be able to have it.

I have a 2017 Edge SEL with several upgrades. This is my 2nd Edge and it was the only model we seriously looked at before buying. 3 weeks after we purchased it we took a 7,000 mile cross country trip. I put over 100,000 miles on my 2011 Edge. I have not had any mechanical problems with either car. I did have a few accessory issues with the 2011, rearview camera, cruise control, and a window. I have had several Ford vehicles in the last 20 years and have been very satisfied with them. I have also owned a Mercedes Benz, Kia, GMC, Nissan and Acura in the same time span.

Ford says that MyKey is a safety feature and added security. When enabled, your keys are limited by speed and music volume. However, if you somehow get both keys set as MyKey, there is nothing undo feature that the customer can do, except take the car to the dealership, and pay between $150 and $300 dollars to have this reset. I called Ford consumer complaints and asked them to pay for this, since their faulty system caused the problem, and was told no, and there was no one else to talk to at Ford to get this done. It is way too easy to do this by mistake, and then you are locked out of your enjoyment and use of the car you purchased. Basically, a Ford customer is not worth $150 to keep them happy. I will never buy from Ford again.

February 5, 2014, I was sent to Ford in Olive Branch Mississippi to check out the 2014 Ford Fiesta. I was on the road the next day (the car was delivered from about 40 miles away in TN). Sunday on March 2nd I was pulling into the driveway and the engine malfunctioned and vibrated continually until the engine was shut off. I cranked it up and it was fine afterwards - I assumed it was a simple computer issue. March 4, 2014 - MY BIRTHDAY. I pick my daughter up from school and break down at a four way stop on the way home. ENGINE MALFUNCTION. Shut off engine immediately. Major vibration! Roadside assistance was attentive, but couldnt get to me until 6pm. By this time Ford could not tell me if I was able to get a rental car or anything until my car made it to the shop. All I wanted was an answer and a plan on getting my daughter to school the next day. I get a rental the next day, but not until about 10:30am and this is after calling all morning and being avoided. I was called to pick up my vehicle on Thursday afternoon and told that a code was ran showing problem with the throttle and the problem was WEATHER INDUCED. They reset the computer and gave me the car back. I knew this would be an issue. An hour after driving the car, it malfunctioned again, and once again would not accelerate or move more than a few inches. I was picked up and given a rental. I was not contacted throughout the weekend. I called Monday morning with no answer so I decided to go get some things out of my car. They told me they were just about to call me to let me know my car was ready and that they had replaced the entire throttle body. I was not happy about keeping a brand new car that already had a serious problem, but needed to catch up on all the errands. Today - Tuesday, March 11 I find myself BROKE DOWN AGAIN. I now have no rental, no car, and a booked vacation in 3 days. Happy spring break to me. I will never purchase a Ford again. Not to mention the miles put onto my car from the shop driving it as well as the gas that was not replaced.

They have the worst customer service. I bought a 2016 Ford Focus SE with the 6 speed transmission. At 20K had the computer flashed, noticed excessive shutter at low speeds while turning and accelerating. I contacted the dealer and like they tell everyone to adjust their driving habits which I did, I use this car for business and has a lot of highway miles, I am currently at 92,000 which I planned on retiring this car at 100k to give to my wife. At 88,000 miles the transmission started slipping between 2nd and 3rd gear, unable to kick down at 50 mph to pass anyone without major slipping, in stop and go traffic it smashes into gear hard. Took it into the dealer and they say its 1800 to replace the clutches and seals and they refuse to replace it even after I told them that they are responsible because this has been a huge parts failure for years, never had a transmission fail this early on a Ford. Ford Motors still refuses to replace it because I am outside my warranty and even when obviously this wearing out obviously started a long time ago to already be bad before 100k, as the 2016 models get more miles on them we will be seeing more and more 2016s with the same issues as the previous models. I bought Ford because its American made so I thought when really its Mexican made, if I am going to buy foreign I will take my chances on Japanese at this point. Sorry Ford. I used to love you but since you have taken 2 weeks and still havent giving me an answer on a approval to fix your massive clutch issue leaving my family in jeopardy without a safe car to drive. Were finished. Ford still tries to sidestep their problems even when there are so many people with the same parts issue is unacceptable.

I got my car serviced at a dealership and soon after all the engine oil leaked out. The check engine oil light came on. I called the dealership and they said I have Fords roadside assistance so Im covered. However you are only covered up to $100. The catch is Ford will hire a third party vendor to tow or work on your car, in my case, a tow truck. Even though the car had to be towed just $25 miles, the vendor asked for $250+ and Ford obliged. So I was on the hook for $150. Needless to say the entire process is super tedious and infuriating. Most of the service reps behave as if they are doing you a favor by just talking you. About a month ago I purchased a vehicle at five Star Ford in Georgia at five star Ford, after I bought the vehicle I brought it home to New York where I live. About three weeks later I was detailing the vehicle and noticed that the passenger side front fender had little circles. About 10 of them that look like there was touch up paint over them. After I noticed them I immediately called my local Ford dealership and ask them to take a look at the truck. Once I took the truck to them and they looked at the truck and they told me that this truck had some kind of damage done to it and that they try to touch it up at either the dealership or the Ford factory plant. So I immediately contacted the dealership in Georgia where I purchased this vehicle. They told me oh go get a second opinion so which at that point I took it to another Ford dealership and they said the same thing. So The other Ford dealership told me that there was over $1300 in damage to fix it.So I called The dealer back where I bought it and they informed me to call ford itself, so I explained the matter to ford. They gave me a case number and Ive been going back-and-forth with the Ford representative and they wanted to give me money towards it to fix, so I explained to the representative at ford that that is bull crap. I purchased a brand new truck and expected a new truck not something that had damage. I have a total of three fords through them right now. I am a loyal customer and they are gonna tell me they will give me some money towards it when they sold me a truck like that that was supposedly brand new. not even to cover it under warranty. This is like a bad dream, a 54000 dollar truck I bought brand new and they dont wanna cover it. So to everyone that reads this DO not buy a Ford. They are the worst company to their customers after the purchase especially how loyal I been to them. I own 170000 in fords right now Im still paying on and have had 15 previous fords and Im only 30 years old. They have lost me as a customer for life! I hope this helps further ford buyers in their next purchase to see how bad their customer service is.

Im writing it down.I have never been so disrespected when dealing with another company and I want the fee removed. I followed the instructions on the letter to call the jurisdiction to contest the ticket and Ford proceeded to pay the ticket and attempt to charge me for it. Recently when driving my vehicle, which is one year out of warranty, Ive found that my car stops suddenly in the middle of the road, with traffic behind me! A small wrench light comes on, the car starts shaking and stops driving. I have to turn off and restart the car to get it going again, until it feels like dying again. Ive gotten stuck now 1-3 times a day, once in the middle of a busy intersection. Once it happened on the highway, and luckily no one was directly behind me for the moment, and I was able to limp my car to the shoulder (3 lanes over). My car gives me no limp-ability any longer.Ford gives me no satisfaction, although they acknowledge that this has happened with other years & models, and offered a temporary fix program (it appears to be a defective throttle body that needs to be replaced) for some of those vehicles, but that temporary deal is over now. I have a 2010 XLT with the paint blistering down to bare metal on both sides of the truck. (pictures attached) I am seeing this on many of the trucks of this vintage in my town and they all look very similar. Ford wont do anything about this unless there is a perforation right through. This is clearly related to the paint not being prepped properly. I also had to have the bonnet on this truck painted after 6 months after buying it new because it was blistering behind the edge of the grill. I had a 1998 xlt with 300K on it and I drove it until 2010. The driving conditions were exactly the same and the paint had no issues. I had a guy at Ford tell me on the QT that some people are drilling holes in the problem area and letting it rust to get around Fords policy and fix it. I didnt want to do this so I talked to the dealer, contacted national reps from the US and Canada on this forum.... Big fat nothing.So... after 24 straight years of driving nothing but Ford trucks my new Ram will be here on Friday. IMO Fords quality has gone down and their policy on paint sucks. Sour grapes, you bet!!! Please reply if you have paint problems. I think this is a widespread problem Ford should be dealing with. Get out your drills boys if you want this fixed.

I purchased my Ford F450 Platinum (6.7 diesel fuel system) new. I have had this truck serviced at great expense since it was new and usually ahead of schedule. I chose to use full synthetic oil from day one. Ive had one issue with this vehicle, the radio would not turn off causing the battery to drain. Ford replaced, no problem. I upgraded my tires. Quality and customer service are they a dinosaur of the past? It seems so.
Quality and customer service are they a dinosaur of the past? It seems so. We purchased a 2009 Ford Diesel truck in May of 2010 with the expectation that this truck with a diesel engine would last upwards in the 200,000-300,000 mileage range with proper maintenance and care, which is one of the major selling points of a diesel engine. The truck was paid off and in September of 2015 just one month out of warranty this truck had to have both turbochargers replaced at Henry Day Ford for a little over $5,000.00. The mileage was at 90,651. Just under the engine break in period as is normally advertised. We asked the service advisor at that time, what more can we do to prevent these costly repairs. The answer was nothing can be done, except regular oil changes at proper intervals. In May of this year we had what we thought to be the exact same problem and returned it to Henry Day Ford to get it repaired. We were told that it would be over $21,000.00 to repair the truck as the engine was beyond repair, two cylinders had low compression. The original price on the truck was just under $35,000.00 and adding in the costly repair in September we are now at $40,000 for a truck with 100,499 miles on it, and it is not running. My first question; what has happened to quality in a product? I remember in the past one of Fords main advertising statement was Quality is job one. Apparently in Fords case, quality is not a job at all. Do we as providers or manufacturers expect to deliver less than the best quality to our customers and consumers? Are we OK with the terrible quality of products and goods that we produce and pass along to the consumer or customer? The fact that we as providers do not put our foot down and say no, we will not sell an inferior product because we have to stand behind it. When it fails, and it will, we look bad too.I know at Tingey Plumbing & Heating we make that choice all the time. There are products that we will not carry from certain manufacturers because of the quality. What would happen if more companies would take that stand? My second question; does customer service even exist anymore? My answer is simple when dealing with Henry Day Ford. Not only no, but absolutely, without question no. We received one phone call from the service advisor to tell us the engine was gone, and when dissatisfaction was expressed, it was implied that it happens frequently. I have made the balance of the phone calls to try to resolve this massive financial disaster to our company with the service manager and he has never attempted to call me back, or give me a realistic resolution to solve the problem. Their answer was bringing the bill down from $21,000.00 to $16,000.00.In the meantime we had placed a call to Ford Motor Company to lodge a complaint and were given a confirmation number and were told someone from Ford Motor Company would call us back. We waited and waited and waited. Meanwhile we have a truck that is not on the road and a technician that does not have his truck to work out of. After a week we called Ford Motor Company back to be told we needed to call the service manager at Henry Day Ford. We took the truck to a different dealer to get a second opinion. We took it to Ken Garff (next door to Henry Day Ford), who has a Ford trained master mechanic that looked at the problem. At first inspection they thought it was a different problem and quoted us $6,300.00 dollars to repair it and when I asked if it was in fact the engine would they still charge us, I was told yes. This is where the huge difference in customer service comes in.Their mechanic decided to use a borescope and look at the cylinders to make sure their diagnosis was correct and he found out the truck had indeed lost two cylinders. Ken Garff then quoted after several calls to us to try to resolve the problem $13,999.00 to replace the engine. Great customer service from Ken Garff. When I called the service manager at Henry Day Ford in an attempt to get help from Ford Motor Company or Henry Day Ford, I was told by the service manager they do not build the trucks so do not take it out on them. He told me that they were not making any money on the engine replacement and that the other dealer could not possibly replace the engine for that price. I asked him if he had even called Ford Motor Company to see if they would do anything and he said no. He expressed over and over again how it would not be fair to him for me to write any bad reviews as they do not build the vehicle.I asked him to call Ford Motor Company and he said he could call the territorial manager and said he would get back to me... he never did. Its been over a week. It appears to me the customer service that Henry Day Ford gives, is to itself, they are more concerned about customers being fair to them than taking care of a serious defect in a diesel truck that is 6 years old with 100,499 miles on it. Yes Henry Day Ford, I know that you do not build the truck but you represent the company and honestly, I have had more customer service in the airport security line in LA, although the wait is about the same, deathly slow or non-existent. Which brings me to the question again, is customer service extinct? I know that in a majority of companies it is, but there are some that still believe that customer service is a top priority. I know that it makes a difference in our customers because they tell us that it does. Why should they settle for mediocrity? Why should any of us? I know that I will never buy another Ford product again; I will never go to Henry Day Ford again. I will not give money to a company that demonstrates a severe lack of quality in addition to an incredible lack of customer service. Can we make a difference? Yes we can if enough people cry out. You either listen to them and respond or you ignore them and hope they go away before you do. Eventually they go away because customer service sets you apart from others who provide the same product.

I had a 2011 Ford Edge. Vehicle had high miles and I expect things to go wrong over time but this is just STUPID ENGINEERING!!! When the water pump goes on 3.5L engine it leaked coolant into the oil because it is built into the engine. No warning, and water in the oil basically destroyed the engine unless you are fortunate enough to catch it by fluke. If you are proactive and replace the water pump you are looking at 15 hours of shop labor plus parts and but there is no recommendations to do this in any manual. My motor is ruined and I will never buy a Ford again. WHAT A HORRIBLE DESIGN! There are several Ford engines with this design. This is a motor that is designed to fail. Dump your vehicles before this happens to you.

I have a 2012 Ford Focus. About three or so months ago I got a letter in the mail about a known issue with the trans control module. Ive been saying for about a year now that my transmission has had issues. All service people kept telling me my car is fine. So I get this letter and make an appointment. Ok easy enough. I drop my car off and get a call back saying that is the issue and a part was ordered. They set me up with a rental then the hell began. Midweek still no part. Week later still no part. Two weeks then three. The dealership had my car over a month!!! Still no part. I get a number for Ford customer relations and give them a call after being told I would speak to a supervisor I get a voicemail for one Jeffrey **.Hoping for answers on whats going on. He calls me the following Monday even though I didnt leave a message initially because I was so mad I was lied to and he ended up leaving a message on my cell. I call him back THREE times and leave THREE messages and does this guy call me back?!! NO HE DOESNT. Needless to say his lack of responsibility as a supervisor was the last straw. I ended up I king up my car. Now over two months later the part is finally in. The big kicker. Ford REFUSES to get me a rental for that fix. So now Im stuck finding a way to and from work on a Monday. I will never ever work with Ford again. As soon as I can get out of this car Im gone and Ive already told as many people that will listen to stay away from Ford. The WORST customer service I have ever had to deal with.

I just purchased a Thor RV with a Ford chassis. When I took it to a Ford dealer for repairs, I was told Ford built the 2021 F450 chassis to sell, but didn’t manufacture any parts. Therefore, it could be 6 months or very possibly longer before repairs can be done. The RV is not drivable and I live in it. Fords answer is to leave it on their lot until parts are made, no concern for the fact that I’m homeless in the meantime. It’s been four weeks now and I can’t find one person at Ford that cares! I would never recommend buying A new Ford.

Ford Billy Howell Cumming sold and serviced the Ford Fusion 2011, and said it was 100% when I bought it. But less than a month and half later the Power Steering Assist completely FAILED! I asked for them to apply the recall as shown on internet: 44,000 Fords (same model, same problem) have been recalled for this VERY SAME problem, but FORD claimed that based on the vin number we are DENIED the recall. They say for another $2,000 theyll fix it! Still, the same model, the SAME year, the SAME problem, has been recalled. But nobody at Ford can explain why we are NOT entitled to the same recall, nor how to submit a claim, and Ford NEVER called back no matter how many times we called and left messages. They promise to call back but never do. My car has now been standing at the shop for 6 months. It CANNOT be driven AT ALL without it being fixed! It should be replaced as per recall done to 44,000 other Ford cars!

I purchased my car brand new in 2011. I was excited, it was my first new car and I spent a lot of time researching cars. Within a few months I noticed that the car began to shake and vibrate and shudder real bad, especially in lower gears. It got worse and worse so I brought it in. Ford fixed it. It was fine for a few months then it began again. This time it was worse, even stalling out when crossing intersections when my kids were in the car. This frightened me and I reported it. They found nothing wrong with it. It was still doing it so I brought it back in and demanded someone drive it until they felt it and fixed it. On two other occasions it has been brought in and fixed. The letter Ford sent out stating that this is normal is bogus because it doesnt always do it especially right after a fix. The car is shaking and shuddering again. I also noticed that when I stop at lights or in my not so steep driveway the car rolls back significantly. Extending the warranty does not make the car safe. Now I have a recall notice that says the doors can break open while I am driving and the part to fix it is not available but I will be notified when it is. This car needs to be taken off the road!

On May 9, 2016 in Manchester NH our 2015 Ford F150 Lariat spontaneously caught fire and destroyed itself and a car in the adjacent parking spot. The vehicle was parked a few feet outside our office window when smoke came pouring out of the hood of the truck. The truck was unattended, was NOT running, just suddenly started burning out of control. It eventually burnt to the ground, destroying the front of our office concrete walls, office windows, pavement, and the car next to it.

Purchased a 2015 Transit Connect XLT for our business at the end of December. Put on the road mid-January. March 18th the truck made a large noise and then died. We had it towed to the Ford Dealership where we purchased it. The dealership spoke to Tech Support for Ford.. Did a few things suggested and nothing worked. No one could/can give me a date about when it will be fixed. A new part was accelerated with no time frame delayed twice. The truck is sitting at the dealership. FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE has been USELESS. Their only answer is part is accelerated.I then went onto corporate website and emailed Tier 1 support who referred me back to the People I had been speaking too. The Service Reps that have never had called to tell us what is going on. No One Cares. No one can tell us when the part is due in. This week the Dealership took the part Ford was hoping would fix the truck from another truck and still it is not fixed. Again, no follow up from Customer Service. We have 6 Ford Trucks and have never had a problem. I will have to think long and hard before we will purchase another after this experience.

Fiesta ST - I felt intermittent squeaking and occasional friction in mine and deeply regret not taking it to the dealer the moment I noticed it. Obviously something was defective from the start and now Im bumming rides from friends to work and borrowing my exs car to get my kids to and from their summer camps. To make matters worse, the cars been dead in the none-too-helpful dealers repair shop for three weeks. Pretty frightening episode, too, since the car stopped dead on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago with heavy 60 MPH traffic and no shoulder.Called 911 who dispatched a tow truck but it was a tense fifteen minutes of desperately waving unsuspecting drivers around my dead Ford. Its a nice car: good performance and practical, but if the manufacturer doesnt back what they sell better to buy from a more reliable brand like Honda, Toyota, Mazda, or Subaru who have all served me well in the past. Ill avoid Ford in the future in favor of automakers that provide real warranties and better reliability.

Called Roadside Assistance on Christmas Day due to a flat (which of course is a big problem since you no longer have a spare and the inflation kit is worthless if you have any sidewall damage). Here is what transpired. I called and they confirmed a tow in about an hour. After an hour they called back to inform me that they cannot tow me to a dealership that is closed. On December 25th there are no dealerships open in the country!!! I asked if they could tow me home as courtesy especially since it was Christmas Day. They said, No it is out of policy. FYI the Owners Manual states that roadside assistance is available 24/7. PERIOD! No other rules or exceptions.Bottom line they towed me 3 1/2 hours later to a tow lot in literally the worst part of the city from where I had to make home. Forget the fact that I spent 4 hours of Christmas stranded because of Fords unstated policies, missed most of Christmas with my family and my newborn first grandchild. All Ford showed is that their custom care is a fiction (and possibly a violation of several consumer laws as they do not disclose this to their consumers). Bottom line if you need roadside assistance good luck if you need a tow outside of Dealer Hours. They simply dont care about their customers.

I’m a long time Ford owner. In July, 2017 the electronic power steering on my 2013 Mustang GT which had less than 40K miles, malfunctioned which in turn resulted in the loss of traction control, ABS and other electronic assist functions. After being informed that my warranty was expire, I was quoted over $2.2K. Annoyed that a low mileage car which was less than 4 years old could have an issue like this, I chose to drive it without power steering.Fast forward to January 2018, I brought the car to the dealership for an oil change which happened to lose all steering function while in their possession. The dealership explained that the car was a ticking time bomb and that I should be grateful that the steering didn’t go out while I was on the road. I was blown away because they never informed me that I would lose all steering in the original diagnosis 6 months earlier. I contacted Ford Consumer Affairs and they just filed it away and don’t want to acknowledge the issue due to the potential liability it can face for selling cars with faulty steering that are likely to fail on the road. Ford’s power steering issues are well-known, but the associated catastrophic steering failure is not. Basically, if you drive a Ford product and the power steering goes out, you are driving a death trap.

Bought a new 2014 Ford Focus Titanium off the lot and within about 4 or 5 days my engine was already starting to shutter. I brought it back and they said thats just the way it is. I believed them sadly. Overtime it got a lot more aggressive, and finally they decided to look at my engine with only 20,000 miles. I had a recall and a few other things plus them looking at my transmission so they said they need to keep it a few days, and refused to give me a loaner car, or a rental. They did not call me, so I decided to call and I could not get a hold of the service adviser for the life of me. I even asked for the service manager and left several voicemails and he hasnt called me back to this day. Finally called corporate and they got a hold of the service adviser the next day. I had multiple things wrong, included a new clutch, bearings, transmission fluid, a part for my transmission (they werent very specific). Worst part is a check engine light never went on. He then said the parts will come in on Friday, so my car wont be ready until the following Tuesday, and yes... they still didnt want to give me a rental or a loaner. Well here comes Tuesday, and my car still isnt ready. This is about 13 days they have had my car. It is ridiculous, Ford will never own up to the problems people are having with their cars.

The car has 17250 miles on it, its 2014 Fiesta Titanium. I have been having transmission problems. Shuddering, shaking, jerking, jolting, sudden or delayed acceleration have all been problems. Low speeds seem to be an issue with it. It seems to shudder in between 1st and 2nd gears. I also have had it stall while in reverse. I have taken it to the Ford dealership, they are aware of the issue, have had multiple complaints, and said they would reprogram the software to make the shift changes more smooth. It is still exhibiting the same issues - harsh shuddering, gears slipping, clicking and noises. Its just a matter of time before this vehicle kills someone. I wasnt told that this car would operate any differently than any other car. The dealership says that all of these symptoms are normal for the kind of transmission that they sold me and that its still safe to drive. Even when I took it in to get reprogrammed for the shuddering, the technician said that its still going to do it. What?! It wasnt doing it before and now you want me to deal with a shuddering vehicle? And you say you still cant fix it? Thats terrible. Ive owned Fords all my life and this is my first new car and I feel like Ive made a terrible decision and its barely got 20,000 miles on it. More importantly, the safety. Ive had more than one close call with trying to accelerate and the transmission not responding in enough time to get out of the way. Operates unlike any other vehicle Ive owned and not in a good way.

On 02/08/2019 I simply rolled up my drivers side window, there was a loud pop and the window shattered into a million pieces. There was no apparent reason for this. No bumps or pot holes were driven over in the six miles I had traveled. It wasnt cold, was not running the AC, I had not touched the window in any way. Just simply rolled the window up. Oh, I should mention these are not electric windows, these are hand crank windows. I called my dealer Bill Currie Ford of Tampa, FL. I spoke with service department. They told me to bring it into the body shop and ask for Joe. I did what they told me. Spoke with Joe for less than 2 mins. Explained what has happened, showed him a picture that I had taken. We went back inside, Joe disappeared. After a few mins. James ** handed me an estimate for the repair of the window at the cost of $369.29. I asked about warranty because it just shattered for no apparent reason to this he gave me no response. I explained I could not afford the cost. He said I can maybe take off $50.00. I thanked him and departed. I then called Ford Customer Care, spoke with April whom was very helpful. Gave me a case number and told me to wait a few hours and call the service manager. I did what I was instructed to do. I called Bill Currie Ford and asked to speak to the service manager, of course on got voice mail. I left a message with my case number and contact info. I called the next day, again getting only voice mail, again left the info. The service manager Mark has yet to respond to my calls. So now I have a car that cannot be secured. I am on the road all day and I am forced to park my car with the window wide open just asking for someone to take advantage of it.

I just traded my 2013 Edge to get the new and improved 2015 Edge... Have the EcoBoost 4 cylinder in both and the 2015 improvement on the motor is great but the rest I am not impressed. It came with the cheap mats Ford installs and so I ordered the all weather mats for another 95.00 only to find the driver mat doesnt even go up under the pedals where most of the crud falls off... Whats up with that Ford. I sure some DS blamed his accident on a pedal catching on the mat. Next the driver seat is terrible uncomfortable with the seat portion bolster way higher than the seat so I carry my weight on the outside of my thighs. I am not a huge guy at 5-9 190 either... Other complaint is they shrunk the controls behind the steering wheel and I find them more difficult to use. They are quieter inside but overall I wish I had my trade money back and still driving my 2013 Edge... Not really any improvement overall in my book. I had to take my 2006 Lincoln Mark LT with the 5.4 Triton motor into my local Ford Dealership to have the spark plugs replaced. I was told then that this engine had issues with these spark plugs getting stuck and breaking into two parts requiring extra time and effort to do this service procedure. The cost of a plug change was high to me at $300.00 and if a plug should break it would be $95.00 for each one extra. Ive read that Ford knew of this issue and still sold this engine without change after they became aware of it back in 2004. The total cost of the repair cost me over $1300.00 for what should have been a regular simple spark plug change (had Ford used a one piece plug or redesign socket) I am willing to pay a decent fee for a spark plug replacement but I do not feel that I should have to pay for plugs that break and take extra time to extract because of faulty parts and design. I was driving home from Wal-Mart, which is about a 20 minute drive. I am not sure what happened, as I must have blacked out, or blocked it out, but I woke up flipping over and over, and found out it was in a field. Witnesses claimed the car flipped 12 times, before landing on the roof of the car. All the windows, besides one I believe, were knocked out, and there werent airbags. I have an artificial hip, due to another wreck, where I was a passenger. I was trying to get the seat belt off, as I was scared something else would happen if I didnt get out, but it was stuck. Finally, a gentleman showed up. He had to crawl down under me, to cut the belt, and get me out, without causing more problems. The first thing I heard the policeman say was the bags did not go off, then I heard the same thing next day, when I went to pick up whatever was left. A prescription was lost or stolen. We looked everywhere, and my Tom Tom, which was in the glove box was gone. I went by ambulance to the hospital. They took an x-ray of my chest and neck, and did some CT scans to check my back. As of now, I have bruises and abrasions, but I can barely walk without crutches. The same side of my hip was replaced in 1994. My back has a large bruise, and it hurts real bad to move, cough, etc. I did not have comp or collision, as I was told, when a car is over 20 years old, they dont need it.The car is completely totaled. The roof was crushed like a v right down the middle. The medic said if my head or the v had been an inch or so closer, I would not be here. If there are this many complaints, why hasnt Ford done something about it? I was shocked. I was supposed to be on federal jury tomorrow. I had to call and cancel that. Currently, all I can do is lay in bed or on the couch, with heating pads and pain medications. I may have to call my orthopedic doctor, if I dont get any better. But my husband has been out of work taking care of me. He went back today, and the my doctor is in Charleston, about 2 hours and some minutes from where we are. He cant afford to take off constantly.

The seat belt did not lock and the airbags did not deploy which slammed my chest into the steering wheel, bounced me in the air causing me to break my back and severely bruising my ribs. I am currently bed-ridden and very upset that my 2007 Ford Escape failed to protect me. My vehicle remains at the auto repair shop estimating damages. I am thankful no one else was in the vehicle.

I bought my Ford Five Hundred 10 years old with only 85,000 miles and am enjoying it. I wanted one when they first came out, so I was delighted when I saw this one at such a good deal. Its seat is a couple inches higher than other cars, so it is easier for me to get in and out of with my old knees, and the A/C works great, which is a must in Texas! Its an older car, so it doesnt have wi-fi technology. I might install wi-fi if I thought Id be keeping the car forever. And it has leather seats, which I really dont like -- too hot for Texas summers!

Ford’s customer relations call center is not worth the time or effort. We have two Ford Escapes in our family and I drive a Ford Escape as my company car. My company vehicle is still under factory warranty. I had a concern with my company vehicle so I called the customer care phone number, a case number was assigned and I was given a contact number with an extension. When I call the number, I received a recorded message to leave my case number along with a contact phone number and my call would be returned in the next 24 hours. Over the past few weeks I have called this number and left several messages, never received a call back. Calling the Ford Customer Care Center has only added more frustration to an already difficult situation. As it stands right now, I have no intention of ever purchasing another Ford vehicle and am planning on sharing my experience with our company’s fleet manager.

Bought a new 2016 Ford Explorer and with 300 miles on it. I noticed the paint had dots in it. I took it back to the dealer and they said it was paint pop and they will wet sand the car to fix it. So they did and I got my car back with white spots all over it. So they said we have to repaint the whole car. I said that was not acceptable to have a new car that has to be repainted. The dealer and Ford motor company said that all they will do but everyone I have talked to said they would not accept a new car that was repainted but they want me to. They gave me two choices. Get the car repainted or trade it in. So I was going to trade it in but I would lose 8 grand. Now the car is all taken apart and getting repainted with 300 miles on it.I own 6 Ford cars and trucks as of today and will never buy another one so make sure if you are looking to buy a new Explorer, you look at the paint. I bought a black one and stopped at two other dealers to look at the they had on the lot and they had the same problem as mine. And ford said there is nothing wrong with them. Buyers beware.

Car broke down, 4 hours later still waiting for a phone and/or tow truck. Every time you call the number for the roadside assistance, you get asked the exact same questions as if you aren’t already in the system and haven’t already called over 6 times! What kind of crap is this? In a bad neighborhood, no AC since the car is down and no one seems to know why we don’t receive calls or text messages or why we haven’t been assisted. What’s the point of calling it Roadside Assistance. You’re assisting me to stay on the side of the road??? You don’t need anymore bologna, cause Ford you’re full of it already. This has convinced us to take back the Ford and never do business with them again.

1.27.14 - My beloved 14 year old 2001 F-150 started on fire while it sitting at my work parking lot most all day, since 10:30 am. The fire started after 4:25 PM, was seen at 4:40 PM, fully engulfed so much that it was too hot and dangerous for us (non-professional firefighters) to take the risk of trying to put out this blue-hot fire. When the firefighters go there and put the fire out, they were surprised at how hot this fire burned, so hot that it melted the hood totally, burned the tires, melted the interior back to the seats. Of course it is a total loss. I have started a case with Ford, dont know where that will go. This was such a surprise, it could have been SO MUCH worse. Had either of our sons been driving it, had it been parked close to our home or garage, had it been closer to other cars..... the list goes on and on and on. .

In 2014 December I bought two brand new Ford transit connects with bumper to bumper 3 year 36000 mile warranty on both vehicles. Both vehicles encountered heater vibration problems and electrical problems with the lights. Took both vehicles to Ford and they worked on the first one by removing the center console to see what the problem was and they found a rodents nest and body parts which they clean up and removed, but it was not covered by the bumper to bumper warranty. It cost me out of pocket over 400.00 dollars. The lights they said that it wasnt the bulb but rodents also had eaten the wires which again it not cover either under the bumper to bumper warranty so I could not see paying any more but that cost me 90.00 more dollars. So I was not willing to pay to have the second transit looked at.My wife and I both had no luck with Fords main office service because they said it wasnt their fault that rodents are eating the wiring and nesting in the heater unit. Disgusted with their answer I asked why are they using soy oil in their wiring insulation, seat foam plus the numerous pounds of recycled plastics and gasket materials. Its like a buffet for the rodents, they told theyre being green! When I wrote the checks for both these vehicles at Ford I did not see anything about them using recycled crap in these brand new vehicles, if I did I would not have bought them. I told the person that contacted us Why dont you smear steak sauce all over the car. But by using soy oil in the manufacturing its the same results with the rodent problem. While we were at Ford they laughed and said we were lucky they had a new car in the shop last week that was towed in because rodents had enjoyed eating most of the wiring but they said their insurance company paid thousands of dollars to repair it, why is it the insurance companys problem when Ford is inviting disaster by using soy oil in the manufacturing process so they can say theyre green. But the consumers are not aware of this. My grandfather worked and retired from Ford motor company, hes rolling over in his grave now.I have always bought Fords since I have been driving. Never have I had issues like this before, their smug attitudes that its not their fault rodents are the problem, I say it is their fault for using soy oil and recycled crap for gaskets wiring insulation seat foam and trim products. There should be a class action law suit against them for the repairs. But theyre not the only ones doing it. Something needs to be done, Maybe the United States steel workers union needs to put up pick lines on all the dealerships to let people know theyre going to left in the cold.

I bought a Ford Transit Connect 2014. Was in the shop 3 times for its Fourth transmission. I was told that they would give me one or 2 payments goodwill. I ask Ford if they would give me a discount on a new car. They said no so when I got the POS transit back I traded it in. Now they say since I traded the car in they will not give me the payments they had promised. What a loser company. I have decided to tap into my wifes Twitter account at a large company she works with over 7000 + employees so no one else gets scammed by Ford. Good luck with dealing with them.

2015 Fusion Energi Titanium - During the entire sales process, I had sales staff and service staff would lie to make sure the sale went through. After I bought the vehicle, I found damage on several parts of the vehicle and they stated they would take care of it. I came back to have the vehicle fixed before they put on a sealant coat on exterior and interior that I paid extra for at time of sale. I came back after the service person James called me and told me it was perfect with all damage gone. I show up to find out the vehicle damage was not taken care of and I ask ** to come look at the vehicle damage personally. He admits he never looked at the damage before or after it was fixed. I schedule the vehicle to have the drivers side painted to solve a gouge that went to the sheet metal. The vehicle is brought in and all problems are solved. I needed to call the auto shop to have status updates on my vehicle. ** would give answers with no basis in fact and every communication he would change the times/days when the vehicle would be ready. The vehicle will be going back in four weeks to have the sealant replied post vehicle paint curing. I have had nothing but problems with the Future Ford Roseville dealership. The problem is I am 500 miles away from the dealership and I cannot show up in person. Every time I try to contact people, I have the I will call you back or have that person call you and I have waited more than four business days on multiple occasions for a response. I traded in a vehicle and they took and additional four days to get in touch with VW Credit to find out the pay off amount. I have waited now seven days for financing to talk with me at the dealership. I have left voicemails daily on work phones and personal cell phones with still no response. I need help!!!!They offered me $100 to call the damage fine with a gouge going through all layers of paint. They even told me they would take care of me if I put in perfect scores on the surveys. I am offended at the $100 to go away and asking me to falsify records to make the dealership look good in Fords eyes. Then having the gall to say they will take care of me if I lie as they have constantly lied to me. I need someone from Ford Corporate to investigate my allegations to find the truth of the matter. They are willing to refuse to contact me when I need help and are more than willing to constantly, lie to me. I even asked to return the car in the first 200 miles/48 hours and I would wait for another car to come in that was not damaged. I just want a new car and want to enjoy my new car. I have owned the car for two weeks and it was in my possession for only four days so far.

Well lets start off by saying you go to the dealer and you are interested in buying a new truck that you can plow with. So you get a price of $67,988 and youre like Damn thats a lot of cash. Then you make sure it has all the options that are needed for your likings. Loaded out, Lariat plow package and all the goodies. So you break the bank and go thru with the purchase and get it home. Get the new Boss plow set up all done and go out for the first plow of the season in November and you get a clicking relay in the dash. Well come to find out after plowing for a little bit it seems to get worse. Then all of a sudden your radio and heater goes off for a few seconds. Then it does it again five more time. Then the whole dash and electrical system goes down for approx. 2 minutes. So the following day I start calling Ford and dont get anywhere other than take it to the dealer. So I do that and they tell me there is nothing wrong. So this has been going on since Nov 25th. Well Ive had it at the dealer 5 times and then I find out that Ford is producing truck that states you have a plow prep package on them and you cant plow with them without getting a power spiking issue which causes the BCM to shut all the required electronics to shut down. So my bitch is how can Ford knowingly sell a truck as a plow truck and have all these problems. And after contacting Ford customer relations Im not any farther than I was in November. Ford has known about this problem since the 2014 model and still will not take any responsibility for fixing these problems. My advice is to check out the options on the vehicle and make sure there isnt and hidden notices where something cant be used properly. This a safety recall if I have ever seen one.

Dont purchase a Ford Vehicle. The transmission will most likely die on you early on. I cannot tell you how upset I am for the purchase of my Ford. I have to say a prayer each and every time I am driving this car, in particular, if you are driving the vehicle up a grade. The odometer on my car is only 25977 miles. A LEMON in every sense!

Fall of 2014, purchased a new Expedition (traded in an older one, which I loved). Im happy with the vehicle; just not the dealership. Whenever I had questions about operation of things on the vehicle, went back or called dealership, and they always helped. But when I hit a post because the backup system alarm didnt work – another story. Had the same system on the old one and it always worked. Now, apparently, the system was turned off. Had to be turned on, which was never mentioned by the salesman or the book. Even called Ford and they took no responsibility either – no one does, because it works – just not turned on. This was never an option in the old one & I was never told differently. Now I have a 4 figure repair, to learn this little quirk to the system, and no one wants to take any responsibility!!

I bought my Ford F150 XLT brand new in 2010 and I have completely loved my truck! It has been great with no problems. So you can imagine how upset I am after only 93,000 miles my motor needs replaced because of how poorly the 4.6 engine was built. I would think the engine would last longer than that but I was wrong. My mechanic said that this has been the major problem with the 4.6 engine in these trucks so I am not sure why it never got recalled. Now I am out a pretty penny to get it fixed since it is my sole vehicle to get my family around in. I am not usually one to complain but this was defiantly an upset after spending $37,000 on the truck to begin with just to replace the engine 7 years later. Now that I will have a motor in it that was built right I should get a longer lifespan out of this truck!

I own two Ford vehicles, a F350 Ford diesel King ranch 2016 and a 2018 Ford explorer Platinum two of Fords top of the line vehicles. The Ford explorer third row electric seat began having issues within the warranty period at 21k miles and within 1 month of the vehicle warranty expiration. Just a couple of weeks after the expiration of the 36th month warranty but well within the 36k mile warranty (25k miles on The vehicle) third row seat would no longer operate (only having been used a few times). One of the main reasons we purchased the vehicle was for the third row seat for our grandchildren. After several trips to two different dealerships it was determined that the wire harness would need to be replaced and in order to do that apparently much of the vehicle needs to be disassembled. A very significant effort and expense to repair. I felt surely Ford would stand behind me and rectified what was clearly a defective mechanism. After several months of back and forth and Ford stringing me along ultimately they would not provide ANY assistance. Worse multiple requests for them to provide that decision in writing were simply ignored. I have never been so appalled at a major corporations lack of professionalism in handling a customer service issue. My experience with them has left me realizing that FORD is a two-bit company not interested in customer service or standing behind their product. FORD NEVER AGAIN.

I have a 97 F150 4.6ltr. Two times now it has blown the spark plug out of the head. It was replaced the first time with a brand new head, and a year later it blew out again. I only use motorcraft plugs, I have had my catalytic converters changed to make sure theyre not clogged up and it still happened again. Its coming to the point Im fixing to scrap the truck. I dont have another 1500.00$ to put into it again. I know this has happened to a lot more people than me. Ford needs to recall and fix this issue. Ive always liked Ford, especially when they didnt take the bail out money, but Im fixing to buy a Chevy. I just lost all faith in Fords.
