I purchased my 2011 Nissan Rogue and have experienced this: The car only has 54k miles on it and it blew a head gasket. There were no warnings... The temp gauge went up to high and then the car wouldnt start... Plenty of fluid was in the car. The car was towed to the dealership where I purchased the car. This repair was covered under warranty. The dealership said they consulted Nissan and because it was caused by a cracked radiator the cost were not covered. The estimated cost was 2100-2400.I did some research to find that this is a problem with the radiator leaking up and causing a head gasket to blow. The dealership did work on my car hoping to sell it and place me in another vehicle. This didnt happen because I owe 15k on the car and repair cost of 3000 now to 3500 to fix car. The owners will not release my car until I pay this bill and I never signed anything to do this repair. I had to pay dealership 2100 to get my car back in Cash and I go to drive the car off lot and the car is slipping and making a horrible noise. The oil was extremely low and the car runs like crap. This has been going on for 5 weeks. I do not know what to do.

Ive had the privilege of driving 3 Nissans because our family owns 3 models: a Sentra, a Vanette and an Exalta. I first learned how to drive using the Vanette. Simply put, its my favorite car brand. Ive also had the chance to drive other car brands, but I just dont get the same feeling as when I drive a Nissan. Ive been driving for 12 years and I hope that when I can finally afford to buy my own car, therell be an awesome Nissan car waiting for me to buy it. BTW - that Nissan Juke advertisement with the typo was genius. Kudos to Nissan for thinking of something brilliant to promote their SUV. Cant wait to see what they have to offer next!

My son purchased a 2014 Nissan Altima with 36,000 miles on it. He has owned it for 2 weeks. He was suppose to have Powertrain warranty that went with vehicle till 2019. The CarFax said it was leased to private owner in 2014 till 2016 then sent to auction in New Jersey. In which another dealer purchased it. Then my son purchased the headache. The car had blue smoke coming out of exhaust so we took it to Nissan to look at. The service department said it was sludge in engine and the vehicle had no maintenance done at all. But Nissan wanted a pic of oil pan and valves before they would decline to have it repaired. My son paid 200 for this to be done then Nissan decline repair because of neglect. The Nissan dealership knew when vehicle was brought back from lease that no maintenance was done so they passed it along to auction so someone else could deal with it. Now son has car with no warranty.

I have always wanted a truck and I really like purchasing my Nissan truck. It was reliable and it drives very good. I like the power it had to maintain a steady speed. It was good on gas to carry me far distances. My truck also had a stereo system in it which played very good. But I would add a DVD player to watch movies when Im on the road with my grand kids. I like the way it sits up high were I can see everything but I would also like to buy it with the windows tinted to keep the sun out in the summer time because I live in Florida. I would of also like more cup holders.

Saturday June 28, I went to drive to our community days festival when I started hearing a noise as if I was dragging something medal under my 2010 Nissan Titan Pro 4X with 26263 miles. I got out and found nothing under my truck but I definitely was not going to keep driving it. Monday morning I called my Nissan dealerships in the area and was told the soonest any of them could look at it was from a week to a month from now, so I called Nissan consumer affairs, got a case #** took it to my local mechanic and we found the parking brake assy was blown apart and jammed inside the rotor. Ive been calling Nissan for the past 2 days and havent got a response or call back. So if this is how they handle a repeat customer I will be going to another auto manuf when I need a new truck or car next time.

I leased a 2014 Nissan Maxima in June 2014. The automobile has only 18,000 miles on it. In the last 40 days, it has been in the shop 4 times. First time, the servicing dealer said it was an O2 sensor. Second time, I was told it was the REAR-END O2 sensor. Third time, they kept the car 5 days and couldnt find the problem, so they replaced the wiring harness. Fourth time, the gauge cluster (display) went completely black, and when I took it in to get it fixed, rotate tires and change my oil, they found a front axle leaking oil. I talked to my servicing dealer about trading out of the lease, and they told me the value of the vehicle had dropped in HALF in ONE year, leaving me with no option to trade out. I then contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs to discuss being released from my lease. They drug the process out over a month, hoping I would go away. I continued to pursue them via daily telephone calls. They sporadically returned my calls, using my cell phone, rather than my preferred number at work, thus avoiding direct contact with me. They had indicated they were reviewing my complaint and would have a response by Monday. They notified me today they are only willing to provide me a two-year maintenance plan, but nothing further. THIS CAR IS A LEMON. I recommend NO ONE purchase a new Nissan with this buy the car, but forget servicing the customer after the sale attitude. I have always been a fan of Nissan - purchased many vehicles in the past, and strongly recommended their product to many of my friends. I am sorry to say I have lost all confidence and URGE anyone to live under the BUYER BEWARE philosophy.

First, to make a payment over the phone for a Nissan account, the consumer is charged a $12.00 service fee. That is outrageous! Second, BillMatrixs automated system is a headache to deal with. Compound that with having to talk to customer service reps in India just compounds the frustration of going through their customer service communication channels. All this adds up to make it a real headache to try and communicate with Nissan. Just the thought of having to pay $12.00 in order to pay your bill seems like a racket.

Volume on radio out of control. When I click the volume control on the steering wheel to go up one notch it goes to the highest volume and the only way to lower it is to shut the car engine and then re-start the car. This happened on the day I picked up the car from the dealer and it has been back to the dealer at least 4 times for repair. On 2 other occasions a repairman came to my home to fix it. New wiring, new parts, grounding and even a new unit has been installed. Dealer has been very attentive each time I brought the car in. However they cannot fix the problem. I called Nissan consumer affairs yesterday and was assured I would get a call back today. I did not receive a call and when I called again today I was told I would get a call tomorrow. At this point I think a new car should be awarded to me.

I have done business with Nissan Motors for the past 6 years. I recently turned in my Lease for a 2010 Nissan Maxima. After near 45 days, I received a bill for $1600 for excessive wear and tear. I have never seen such a high bill and even when I turned my car to dealership, they mentioned this was one of the cleanest cars they ever got back. When I called Nissan Acceptance, they started saying you should review the contract and should have done a 3rd party inspection before giving the car back. They claim they sent me a letter too... but I never got anything. All I got was phone calls asking me to release another Nissan. I have leased vehicles before and this is the shadiest process. Good luck to Nissan as I will ensure none of my friends will get a Nissan anymore... Awesome customer service... Way to go Nissan...

Our car is in the dealership for a transmission replacement. Not the first one, but the third in 2010 Nissan Cube (the first replacement occurring a little over a year ago in 01/2015). Unfortunately, my boyfriend drove from San Diego to our local dealership in Orange County, putting him 100 miles past the 12,000 mile transmission warranty. Well Nissan would surely see rationale and honor a good will repair... We received a phone call letting us know that the claim had been rejected. Being the fairness seeking person I am, I decided to call and follow up. Thankfully, the case was escalated and re-reviewed. We received the phone call the next day from Nissan Consumer Affairs expressing their apologies and informing us that the costs of the repair would be covered. I thought it was peculiar that we didnt hear anything from Nissan or the dealership for the rest of the day. After several phone calls and several messages to consumer affairs, I finally reached out to the dealership the following day and they informed me that Nissan wasnt covering the charges. No one from Nissan decided to call and let us know. So, the manic phone calls began. No one returned my calls or even confirmed that they received my messages until after 5:00 pm. Basically, they chalked it up to miscommunication... and told me to send my information to legal. I asked the supervisor to review the recordings and he proceeded to inform me that they were used for training purposes, and that I was welcome to send him my recording if I have to prove my statement (I obviously did not record the conversation). Therefore, we are without a car and it has been in the shop since before December 25th, 2015.

I recently traded in my leased Nissan Altima for a used Juke at Vaden Nissa
I recently traded in my leased Nissan Altima for a used Juke at Vaden Nissan in Bluffton SC. I gave them the payoff on my Altima (through Nissan Motor Acceptance), which they confirmed. The dealership also performed an inspection on my Altima. We discussed a new deal for a used Nissan Juke. They agreed to pay off my Nissan balance, and I financed the price that we agreed to. Four months later I get a bill saying that I owe Nissan Motor Acceptance $1273. I called Nissan Motor Acceptance, and they claimed there was excessive wear and tear on the vehicle, along with an early termination fee. This Altima was in very good shape when Vaden looked at it. It was my understanding when I drove my Juke out their dealership, that we agreed to a deal which had a commitment from both sides. Now they are telling me the charges are non-negotiable. I told both Nissan Motor Acceptance and Vaden Nissan that if I would have known that I owed another $1273, there is no way I would have completed this deal. Who does business like that??? I have NEVER had a problem with Subaru or Toyota coming back to me for charges after a lease. As far as I am concerned, when we agreed to certain numbers, then I shook hands with the salesman, and then drove off the lot, the deal should be over!!! Thanks for reading!

I contacted Nissan on 12/4/18 and spoke with Stacie from Nissan North America regarding my transmission going out! She asked that I take the car to the dealership and have a diagnostics done and they will review if the car could be considered to be repaired by Nissan. Stacie, called me back within hours after learning my car was there and told me, there was nothing she could do, because the car was over 60K the allotted mileage to be considered an option to cover the transmission per Nissans guidelines.I contacted the dealership and spoke with the service manager and he told me, I missed the cutoff by 125 miles for consideration for Nissan to repair the transmission. Stacie, lied and never mentioned the 120K cut off... She deliberately did not share that information. She did not try to help, she’s a liar and my car is sitting at Nissan and my car isn’t fixed! I am going to make it my business to pass on the deliberate deceit received by Stacie at Nissan North America... Stacie the rude, obnoxious liar can be reached at **.

My Terrano 11s alternator went down and so I contacted my local garage who after ringing round said that the part would cost a massive £130-00 inc VAT. The part would take a couple of days as this was a Friday. I thought that I would also try to see if I could speed things up a little by contacting my local Nissan dealer, Nissan Bradford (Bristol St Motors), they also said that it would take a few days and the cost would be ONLY £1300-00, yes £1300-00. When I complained all I got was that Nissan set the cost and thats all there was to it. Is it that the warranty was different? NO. Both had 1 years warranty. Is the Nissan part made of Gold? No. It is in my opinion that They are BOTH profiteering.

I’ve been a loyal Nissan customer nearly 20 years and always had my cars serviced at Nissan dealerships. Most recent bad experience with dealership, car was leaking fluid underneath. I was told it needed new rack and pinion so I told them to do the work. I paid $1,300. I always insisted on new genuine Nissan parts. The dealership replaced with used (re-manufactured), non-Nissan parts (but never told me) and it failed less than 2 months later. The dealership admitted they never got my authorization for used parts but wouldnt do more than just replace it again. How can I trust them now? I called Nisan Consumer Affairs for refund and replacement at no cost to me. I was told they couldnt offer me anything but the repair because my car is too old and out of warranty too long. Also, they told me they are under no obligation to use new genuine Nissan parts to even tell me. Seriously? The dealership is guilty of fraud and they cant do anything to make a 20 year customer happy? Unbelievable. Thats what loyalty gets you, crap. Save yourself the aggravation. Dont buy Nissan.

I recently traded in my 2012 Nissan Versa for a 2015 Nissan Versa Note with
I recently traded in my 2012 Nissan Versa for a 2015 Nissan Versa Note with the Woodfield Nissan dealership in Schaumburg, IL. There was a promotion being run in the Spring wherein Nissan was paying a few months worth of monthly lease payments if satisfied customers were willing to buy or lease another Nissan from the company. I went to the dealership and drove off in my new car. I asked MULTIPLE TIMES, when I traded in my vehicle, if they needed to inspect the car before accepting it in order to properly negotiate my new price/payment. I was repeatedly told that either it didnt matter or that there was nothing to worry about. There was no further explanation given. I am on my 3rd consecutive Nissan (1st Nissan was purchased used, then 2nd and 3rd were leased new) and my husband also has a Nissan Altima. We have never missed, nor have either of us been late, on one payment. NOT ONE. When my credit was run at the dealership, it came back in the top 12% of everyone in the country. 4 months after leaving the dealership, I received a bill from Vital Recovery Services, apparently the go-to creditors for Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp in the amount of $200-$250. I called Vital Recovery Services and was informed that there was Excessive Damage to my previous lease. I had not received any notice of this debt prior to the letter from Vital Recovery Services. This was the 1st letter I received from Vital Recovery Services. I offered to pay the debt immediately, before even investigating, if (and only if) my failure to pay immediately would cause harm to my credit history and/or credit report. I was told, by two different customer service specialists with Vital Recovery Services, that I would NOT have this debt reported to any credit agencies. After further research, apparently all leases are inspected by an outside company (meaning that the individual dealerships dont have any part in the decision-making process in regards to the condition of the leases turned in). They have a $500 credit for damages that they give to each customer turning in a lease, and I had somehow exceeded this amount by more than $200 (amounting to more than $700 in damages). Now, my MAIN GOAL of my new lease was to get a monthly payment below $200 (which I was able to obtain). So, it stands to reason that a bill for over $200 would cause me distress. But, I am in the process of buying my 1st home so I paid the bill just to remove any chance of having a negative mark on my credit report. I was told that I wouldnt from Vital Recovery Services and thought that would take care of the problem. Even though I searched online and found hundreds and hundreds of dissatisfied customers who were in the same situation of owing Nissan (and by proxy, Vital Recovery Services) hundreds of dollars for unspecified (and according to everyone we spoke to, undocumented, or at least we were not given any detailed information on the documented damages), I still just paid the $200 - $250 debt so that I wouldnt have issues with obtaining the best possible mortgage rate. But, when my mortgage broker/bank put together my mortgage I had to write a detailed explanation of why I had an outstanding/negative mark from Nissan/Vital Recovery on my Credit History Report. Its bad enough that my husband and I, in our early and mid-thirties, have vowed NEVER to purchase a Nissan again in our lives (as I stated above, we already have owned or leased 4 in the past 5 years between the 2 of us), but paying them off without too much of an argument after my first received collection letter STILL didnt remove the ONLY negative mark on my credit report. Typing this very long review of Nissan is fueled by anger, as is the complaints I filed with the BBB against Vital Recovery, Nissan Motors, and Woodfield Nissan. On top of that, our new Versa Note is making some loud noises and I am so livid. Im dreading the day I have to bring the car into the dealership to get it fixed. Hopefully that goes smoothly but I will amend this review as warranted.

Faulty issues with new Kicks. I have been purchasing Nissan since 1985. This was to be my very first lease ever. I wanted 2018 model. Universal City was the closest and had several cars. I got my Kicks SR. The model I test drove had 80 mls on it and was filthy. I asked the rep if this was a floor model. He avoided the question and said it will be cleaned up. Enamored I went ahead with the purchase. The salesman let me inspect the car in the garage. It seemed to have been cleaned, but when I came home I noticed not only it was dirty but had scuff marks on it, the back light was scratched and missing a flashlight in the tool kit.I cleaned the car myself in my garage. Since it was a lease I became leery and wrote a letter to the manager Steve ** and was completely ignored, zero reply. 3 days later I got a warning flashing on the car UNAVAILABLE FRONT RADAR OBSTRUCTION. Same happened again next day. So I took it to dealer. While the car was being inspected, I went to see Steve the manager, who did not appear, was busy. Sia, an assistant manager came to see me. I told him of my dirty car, he said he will detail it and look into missing tool. The next day my car was returned. The explanation on warning was the front sensor was dirty. Scuffs and scratches were gone.. No answer on missing tool. Again, the only reason I am wary because this is a lease, has to be returned and I dont want to be responsible for missing tool. Still I was happy, satisfied. However the warning sign came back. I work, so had to bring the car a couple of days later. This time they kept the car for 5 days to replace the sensor. I asked to be compensated, like a tank of gas, they declined. The service manager finally told me that the car doesnt come with a flashlight. The spot is made for other models that do? Although it doesnt make sense, this is the highest model of Kicks, I am leaving that alone. Once more I said perhaps this is the end. To no avail. Now my dashboard is buzzing, as if I am driving a clunker. Cannot hear music. So today, back to service. I am completely disappointed and have zero confidence in Nissan. I will have no choice but to consult an attorney if anything else happens. Unfortunately only now I begun reading reviews on Nissans and see that there are many complaints on sensors, transmissions and audio systems. Yet I love my car. I am heartbroken.

I have been a heavily vested customer of the Nissan Product since 2005, being a Army veteran I have learned that many decisions are made quickly without complete information. My first Nissan that I purchased was a New NISSAN 2005 Pathfinder, my second new purchase was a New 2008 Nissan Xterra, my third New vehicle was a 2009 Nissan Sentra (this purchase was co signed with my mother Terry ** - I still drive this Nissan today with over 100K miles ) and my fourth New Vehicle is a 2014 Nissan Sentra. I provided this information so that you can confirm that I have been a committed customer of your product and the reason I have stood by the Nissan product is due to not only the reliability, dependability and low maintenance of the Vehicles but more importantly we are a family on a fixed budget like many families and having a low maintenance cost vehicle is that more important to us. We live in the great hot state of Florida the city of Orlando and having an AC unit that works properly in our vehicle is a crucial component. Our 2014 Nissan only has 34,216 miles on it - yes it is outside of the warranty for the years but the mileage average is less than 10K a year and no one would expect the AC compressor to go bad with such low mileage in a Nissan Product, my 2009 Sentra still blows cold air with over 100K mileage. Up until now I have had no issues with any of the Four Nissan Vehicle that we have purchased and its shocking to me to have a major component go bad with only 34,000 miles driven. Yesterday I paid $160.39 to have the vehicle diagnosed and confirmed to have a bad compressor by my local Nissan dealership. I believe Nissan should really stand by their product and Recommend Goodwill and replace the bad unit free of charge to me for such an unusual circumstance.

I am really disappointed with AV Nissan. I purchased a Brand New Vehicle. It was a, too good to be true offer when purchasing my car. The problem started when my passenger side door wouldnt fully close unless you slammed the door close. I took it in for service, 3 days after purchasing the vehicle. The service Rep came out and told me just slam the door. Its not a big issue. Me being me I thought small issue. What the heck, I let that slide. A year after having the car, I took it in for service because the car was giving me problems. Service inspected my car and said it was the transmission. Okay... Luckily it was still under warranty so they repaired the problem. What Im concerned is, how does a brand new vehicle, need a new transmission after a year. Anyway, my vehicle has been a headache! I mean problem after problem and here I am again with my vehicle that only has 67,000 miles needing a new transmission.I found it a little skeptical, so I took it to universal city Nissan. They couldnt find nothing wrong with my vehicle. The codes that AV Nissan claimed were due to a bad transmission were not coming up. They called AV Nissan to make sure the paper work that was given to me was correct. They said they do not want to change the transmission and charge me because if the problem is not the transmission, well there goes my money. I am very upset. I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs. I have a case open with them. Nissan consumer affairs agent state they have been trying to reach AV Nissan service manager and there has been no answer since March 07, 2019.Kiana the Nissan consumer affairs agent called me back. She was rude, pretty much told me there was nothing they can do! Kiana did state she’s no mechanic specialist but that universal city Nissan found nothing wrong with the car so to take it back to AV Nissan. Why would I want to take it back to the place I bought the messed up car. I would suggest everyone to take your business with another dealership. Save yourselves the headache! Please read all reviews before making a decision on buying a Car through Nissan.

I have told them that twice, yet they persist in calling my cell number and leaving recorded messages. Stop it!

Nissan Finance has been difficult and cumbersome from the very beginning. Currently, I am dealing with paying off my loan. I paid through their bill matrix system. I never received confirmation of my payment. When I phoned them, they informed me that it will take 60 days for them to process my pick slip. The customer service department did nothing to resolve my concern and seemed rather aloof. Thus, I will not be able to sell my car for another 2 months.

Driver airbag out on my Vehicle at approximately 75K + Miles - I called Nissan Consumer affairs after shelling out 1500.00 almost for a defective airbag on this car and they would not help us with the issue. I had to seriously take a loan to pay for this. Not to mention that this should not be happening at this mileage. I should also mention that we have had to take this car in for the Seat to be fixed and the seat belts on more than one occasion. Looks like this will be our last experience with EVER owning a NISSAN! I am very unhappy at this point and wanted to warn others if you buy a NISSAN make sure you buy extended warranties because you will be out a lot of money.

No responsibility for a defected paint job because it was contracted out according to the Nissan North America rep that just called me back. This is sad and I will make sure I put this in as many places possible to be visible to your other consumers. In short, I bought a Black 2015 Nissan Altima less than 5 months ago. I have THOUSANDS of light scratches all over the car. It seems just looking at it scratches it. Its clearly a defect in the clear coat and or paint. The service manager at Nissan agreed it does not seem normal and the rep from Nissan North America would not clearly admit the same but did say I was an advocate for you to help but the decision was made not to do anything because its not a warranty coverage and its contracted out. So what. Nissan needs to take some responsibility. I owned a 2010 Black Chevy Cobalt for over 4 years and had way less paint damage when I traded it in 5 months ago. Obviously something is wrong with the paint or clear coat. I have tried taking better care of the Altima than I did my Cobalt. Rightfully so because its about twice the price. Nissan you made a great car and I love it.

I purchased a new 2015 Nissan PathFinder in October 2015 and the car currently only has 2300 miles. I took my vehicle to Nissan Montclair for inspection because the airbag light was flashing on the dashboard. Upon inspection, they informed me that the 2 front passenger sensors underneath the seat were broken. They stated that they would not fix the issue unless I pay for repairs since they insist that I caused the damage which is absolutely absurd. The comments on the report state Right front seat damaged due to objects underneath the seat. Attached is an image of the broken sensors and my toddlers plastic snack container which they claimed caused the damage.

I have a case # **. I have bought a lot of cars in the past, Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi. I bought a Nissan Sentra because of their reputation. I am very dissatisfied. I do not believe I would be buying another Nissan in the future. I have taken the car back 6 times for the same problem, cracking noise in dashboard. They said they fix it and a week later, it starts again. This time, I am very upset, I took the car to Lake Nissan in Leesburg, FL. I am staying in Orlando for a while. They told me they replaced a broken clip. When I picked up the car, they put some kind of foam around front of dashboard. The foam is sticking out. It does not look very nice. They DID not put paper on floor to work on the car. This is the 6th time I take it to a dealer. I bought a new car not to have issues and this is awful. When I went to the dealership at Lake Nissan in Leesburg, they were trying to get me a new car and get rid of my car, but of course I would lose a lot of money. I was willing to do that if I would just lose $1,000.00 but not $4,000.00. They were very persistent to me leasing a car. I had two employees come and talk to me about it. I feel that they were upset, because like I mention before, they really DID not do a good job on the car. I contacted the state consumer affairs. I do not know what else to do. I am so dissatisfied with Nissan. Like I mentioned before, I would not buy another car from Nissan again.

I was a loyal Nissan fan after switching from a Honda to Nissan in 2012. Recently the CVT transmission gave up on my 2014 Maxima and I contacted the dealer to then find out the warranty expired at 60,000 miles so I emailed a formal complaint with Nissan headquarters only to receive a templated reply within 12 hours stating their warranty bound goodwill assistance and reimbursement policy which basically came down to me having to cover the repairing costs of $3400 myself! Seeing the number of negative reviews with no intended solutions on Nissans behalf, Ive decided to Never ever purchase a vehicle from Nissan again or any of their affiliated brands! This vehicle has been the best model that we have ever purchased. It is a 2003 model, but we have never had to have any major work done. The dealership had a reputation of honesty. The vehicle had a good look and when we test drove it, it drove so smoothly. We took it on back roads to try how it handled on curves and small potholes. The only thing I dislike is that the passenger side seatbelt locks as soon as the vehicle starts, with much discomfort until I release it and put it back on.

This is the beginning of my campaign against Nissan. They build crap cars and dont stand by their product. Do not buy a Nissan. You will regret it. There are ridiculous problems that you would not expect from a car built in the 21st century. They are common across the board. The door handles come off simply by opening the door. Water pools in the driver side floorboard. The airbags will go off for no reason. The airbags are the only thing theyll fix because they know its a liability.

Through discussing this problem with the vehicle inspectors in Washington, D.C. area, they have informed me that most Nissan made cars are experiencing this similar problem. My problem with NMAC began in December of 2011. I was behind two payments and I was making agreements with NMAC to satisfy those payments. In the past, I have tried to obtain a copy of my title so that I could register the vehicle where I am currently living. Mrs. ** of collections lied to me and told me that the document was requested and it is on its way but it never arrived. I have called NMAC several times to address this matter and they never assist me. They have threatened me about repossessing the vehicle although I have been making payments and keeping the agreements that I have with them. Currently, my vehicle has been sent out for repossession and an account representative by the name of Mrs. ** has been calling my job although she has been speaking with me daily regarding my car loan as the result of a complaint that I have filed against her. Today, she called and threatened the office manager at my job. She has asked personal information about the office manager and I. Mrs. ** has a personal vendetta against me and she is using her position at Nissan to harass me. My job does not want any more calls from NMAC because of this incident and has advised to me to seek legal action against NMAC and Mrs. ** personally. She has informed my employer that her calls are regarding an unpaid bill which is against the law. Mrs. ** is harassing me and I want it to stop immediately. I would like for my account to be assigned to a different department due to the fact that her and John ** and a few other individuals badger me on the phone and treat me as if I am not a person. I would like to file a complaint against Mrs. ** and her supervisors for allowing this to occur.

My 2002 Nissan Frontier automatic transmission RWD VSS sensor failure caused sudden acceleration and deceleration. I found out the hard way how deceitful lying BS run around crap NORTH AMERICA CHARITY THE BIG BOSS. SUCKS!!!! When my truck rolled off assembly line and off to the dealers the first sensor was changed as was the tranny. Then a second sensor and tranny the same year and third time’s a charm at last the final sensor and tranny for the 2002 Frontier XE. Amazing. I loved my truck. Have all documents. It has only 58000 miles on it and lucky me there are aftermarket parts or a part you can buy to replace my sensor. Why I wonder? Why would Nissan change the sensor and tranny three times on their 2 RWD automatic Nissan Frontiers? And why do they still have parts for second tranny and third but not mine??? The Nissan Xterra same tranny and sensor issue. Truck suddenly lost all speed on highway. Crawled. Not sure of speed. Speedometer wasnt working. Then coming off the nearest exit take off so fast. Had I not had two new rotary and brake pads installed I could have been killed as well as the persons unlucky enough to run into me. Once off the exit on back roads truck was running like ** but I made it to AutoZone which by the way is free unlike Nissan expensive BS. Put your car on their computer - Code came up. VSS. Vehicle speed sensor. After three unsuccessful attempts to attain my sensor I was finally told by Nissan they no longer made my sensor? Just mine. The other two for my truck with different tranny and sensors in stock? WTF AM I MISSING SOMETHING HERE FOLKS? From July 30th 2015 to September 11th and Charity said truck was too old and that Nissan wasnt doing anything for me. I implored Charity that it was unfair that only my sensor was discontinued but same year truck were available??? She said she was sorry and I said “When this goes viral Internet TV etc. etc.” and my lawyer she had a chance to do the right thing and make it right 6500.00 and I was out of her hair and they could have my ticking time bomb. Anyone interested in contacting Charity instead of the months of BS and run around she can be reached at this number **. I also have a Facebook page set up using Nissan corporate pic with sucks across the name. Please like, share your problems there. We can knock these rotten sob on their **!!! I love the color, interior, leather and heated seats and all the safety features like air bags and warning lights and symbols. I also like the moon roof and navigation system and love the fact that it shows the air in my tires. However, I wish my car has a bigger screen for navigation and a better camera. I would also like better instructions on how to use the electronics. I also resent that I have to pay to update my navigation system. This should be included. I dont like the fact that Nissan is monitoring my car as well. But still, I have had great service from Nissan.

2 problems I am having with this car....1.) I will be driving down a freeway for about 20 minutes.... Go to get off freeway and stop at a light.... Wait for light to change and car will not go over 2-3 mph for about 30-45 seconds then all of a sudden jumps up to 15 mph from my foot being on the gas pedal which has almost caused a few car accidents. 2.) I recently moved to California from Arizona and on my trips back and forth, the car after an hour of driving will all of a sudden slow down from 80 mph to 35-45 mph in a 75 mph speed zone. Happens going up hills even the slightest incline in the road and once you go down hill it will slowly start to speed up.I drive around with 2 children in the car ages 4 and 5.... This is so beyond dangerous and blows my mind that Nissan will not do ** about it. I have taken it to Nissan dealerships, mechanics and everyone says... I dont know what it is. I even took my iPad in showing a YouTube video of a gentleman that was driving having the same problem!!! And they still said, I dont know. There is a manufacturers defect with certain 2009 Nissan models. Nissan is aware of the issue, but we are being forced to pay for the repair. The cost of the repair will be 1100 dollars, not including what we paid to have the car towed to the dealership. Again, this is not due to normal wear and tear. Our car was in perfectly good condition until the moment it simply stopped working. When I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs to report the problem, I was also made aware that the reason we never heard of the problem was that they had the previous owner, Michael something, listed rather than us. So the mailing may have gone to him, not us. We purchased the car from Nissan of Woburn as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle. How is that possible?By the time I spoke with the second individual from Nissan, our information was updated and she claimed Nissan cannot guarantee that recall information is mailed to the correct owner. What?? Hopefully someone who might have a life threatening recall issue doesnt miss that mailing, huh, Nissan? I certainly receive plenty of junk mail from Nissan that seems to arrive without delay.Nissan is aware of this MANUFACTURERS DEFECT and the woman I spoke with, in a condescending and apathetic manner, said they will not pay for the repair despite it not being due to normal wear and tear and that there is nothing they can do at this time. Consumer beware. This demonstrates a lack of integrity in their car making as well as their responsibility to the consumer.

I dropped my car Nissan Altima 2012 off Monday and since they didnt have it done by Tuesday they offered me a rental for free. It is Wednesday and I just picked up my car. I have had problems with this car from the get go... I am now on transmission #3 in 18 months. They have never charged me a penny and our dealership out here is amazing! I have called Nissan North America yesterday and they said they would call me today by 5:00. I had leukemia and had a bone marrow transplant, the hospital I see my doctor at is 120 miles away. With the first transmission I would be doing approx 75 mph in the fast lane and all of a sudden nothing. It completely shut down. I have been nearly (could have been fatal) car crashes 3 times. You know how hard it is going from the fast lane to the slow lane with no power. Anyway, I feel terrible for you all paying so much money out. Bought my 2012 Nissan Juke brand new and have had top notch maintenance (ie required oil changes, transmission fluid change, filter changes, etc.) at the same and only licensed Nissan dealer. The recall in 2014 of the Nissan Juke timing chain prompted me to take it in and get it fixed (although I was having no problems) -- I had approximately 36,000 miles on it then. Now, 56,000 miles later, I am at 92,000 miles and have been hearing a noise coming from under the hood. Took it to the same dealer and lo and behold... Its the timing chain. Nissan consumer affairs feels like theyre doing me a favor by covering ONLY the parts for this ($485.00) and Im suppose to fork over the remaining $1200.00 for labor. Really Nissan? They say my car is out of warranty. This has absolutely nothing to do with warranty. First, my car has had top notch maintenance with documented proof at the dealership. Second, the elephant in the room is the fact that Nissan refuses to take responsibility that this is a premature failure of the timing chain they put in 56,000 miles ago. This will be the first and last Nissan I ever purchase. How sad, a multi-million dollar company cant afford to please a customer and do the right thing by standing behind their parts. I received a call today from a collection agency claiming that I owe $614.20 due to charges for excessive wear and tear on a Nissan that I returned 9 months ago. Mind you, the Maxima that I returned was in mint condition and I leased another Nissan, this time an Altima. I called NMAC today and they claim to have sent me a statement which I never received. That statement was allegedly sent 4 weeks after I returned one vehicle to lease another. The only other correspondence that was made regarding these fraudulent charges was 8 months later from a collection agency!!!! I spoke with about 6 different representatives from NMAC today and received so many contradictory pieces of information. Id like to point out that when the finance manager mistakenly set up my automatic payments for 20 months on my original Nissan for a 36-month lease and the automatic payment ran out, NMAC was quick to call when they didnt receive their payment. I was told today that I wasnt contacted about the most recent charge because it was end of term and NMAC doesnt bother, we just send out one bill and then turn it over to collections.... Really???? This is how they treat current customers? Had I gotten some correspondence and been made aware that I was being unfairly charged for excessive wear and tear attributed to scratches on the rims, I would have at least had some method of recourse. I cannot wait until I make my twelfth payment on this Altima so that I can hopefully buy myself out of this Altima and sever all ties with Nissan and NMAC. This has been the single worst customer service experience of my life!!!! Cant wait to tell Nissan to shove it!!!!!

I am the original owner of a 2006 Nissan Xterra. On Oct. 25, 2017 I took my Xterra in to be serviced as a preventative measure since I was recently informed of a radiator/transmission problem with the Xterra, Pathfinder and Frontier models 2005-2010. After speaking with my neighbor who also has a 2006 Xterra and replaced his radiator; I decided to have my radiator replaced as well (even though I experienced no problems with it) just so I could prevent any infusion of coolant into the transmission.Much to my surprise Nick called me with the bad news that damage was already done & would cost $6,800 to replace the radiator, transmission and fluids. This also included labor costs. Being fearful of a potential problem I did not want to wait 2 weeks for both the arrival of a new transmission & the mechanics return from vacation; I chose to take the vehicle to another shop. At shop #2 the mechanic informed me there was nothing wrong with the transmission and could not see what the mechanic at Nissan (Greg) claimed to have found; e.g. leakage of coolant and lots of rust in the transmission and on the fluid stick. He did however, find a petroleum based substance in the radiator and was his opinion that oil was placed in the coolant.Upon having the radiator flushed & bypassed from the coolant entering the transmission, replacing the thermostat & radiator cap (due to damage of the rubber seals from the oil) the cost was $677.84 with labor included; an expense I should never have had to endure. On Nov. 8, 2017 I spoke with Jack **, MGR and shared the findings of the 2nd mechanic. In a nutshell he basically told me he could not help me and stood by his mechanic’s findings. He went on to say “Sorry for your loss” and “If the vehicle was running good at this time he recommended that I sell it”. I have always trusted Nissan to provide excellent care and stand by their products. I have had my vehicle serviced only with Nissan for the past 11 yrs; with Montrose Nissan for the past 7 years. I am sorry to say “they have certainly dropped the ball this time” and me being the loyal compliant customer will not be returning from this point on.

I contacted Nissan customer care. I currently own a 2013 Xterra Pro4x with 66,000 miles. I have driven manuals for 30 years. First clutch burned out 35,400. Second clutch was looked at in a dealership service at 63,000 miles. Was told clutch looked perfect, drove perfect. Had a smell coming from the clutch. 3,000 miles later driving at 60 mph in 5th gear, the clutch blew up. Sounded like an explosion followed by sounds of metal fragments rolling around inside. Nissan required a dealership to look at it. Their conclusion is the driver error caused the clutch failure.Ive never had to replace a clutch before 90/100k. Ive heard from other with the Xterra and Frontiers of this exact same problem happening. Now Im hearing if the transmissions going out at 76,000 miles. They are wanting $2700 to replace a clutch that is sure to fail again. Something is causing these clutches and transmissions to fail. So many mechanics and friends are telling me to get rid of the car ASAP. Lesson learned do not buy Nissan. Nissan does not stand behind their product.

I purchase a 2012 Nissan Juke Oct 2013 with 5700 miles - now 15,000 miles, it kept on cutting out. I took it into my local dealer. After paying 88£ they told me it would need a new gearbox (value 6700) and just fob me off, saying warranty expired since March of this year. As a single mother with 3 children, I just cant afford it and the sales person whom was soon nice to me before I purchased the car now fobs me off and say there is nothing they can do. Everyone (9) spoke to says its a manufacturer fault and they should consider giving me at least a refurbished gearbox, etc. as for such a new car with low mileage. The gearbox shouldnt have stop working and an automatic transmission at that.

After working with the local dealer McLarty Nissan in Little Rock and Nissan manufacturer they took the word of some service tech that it was damage. But could not give me any facts on how they arrived at this. When I gave them numerous points and showed them how easily paint was coming off. If I could send my truck back today I would. I bought my 2012 Verse from Nissan of Edison in February. I start experiencing the engine light coming on after having the car only two (2) months. I read the manual and checked the gas cap, after a week the light went away. December 2013 the engine light came back on and the light have been on more than off since then. The car have put me down on more than three (3) times in the last month going to work. The Nissan service department is the worst. They over talk you. I was told that I should use BP gas only which I thought was outrageous. I have family members and friends with BMWs, Audios, etc. and they use different gas. Im not certain if they think I am stupid or what. I refuse to pay to have the car check or to pay for a gas filter that now the service department say I need. I will tell everyone I know not to buy any brand of Nissan car and most of all their service department stinks and is horrible.

I am filling this out on my mothers behalf. I am sorry I do not have more information. I can get if I pressure her to give it up. But she has been victimized by this company and is giving up because she is mentally drained. Basically, what happened is that the car broke down while on a drive across country, out of state. The part (transmission) needed to fix the car took about a month to come in. We had to rent a car to complete the trip and get home on time. The $850.00 in rental fees are not going to be reimbursed by Nissan. This car already in its short life had a muffler break apart and disintegrate. Our trusted mechanic couldnt get a new muffler because Nissan hadnt made one yet. So, he had to fabricate one. He said that he never saw anything like this! The car is only a 2007!

Worst company to deal with. I just bought a 2012 Juke. Less than 50 thousand miles on it the turbo burns out. I had not even made my 4th payment. We took it to 2 different mechanics and were told the same thing. The oil line that feeds the turbo lays up against the manifold causing it to boil and become sludge. I called Nissan and they asked me how can Nissan help you with this? What they were really saying is you can answer our question BUT we have NO intention of helping you. I am out 14 hundred dollars for a new turbo and due to the way it is designed I now need to have the oil changed every 2000 miles so the oil line does not clog again. Do yourself a favor. As for the rebate, I was given an analogy using Walmart as their example about things going on sale. Nissan offered no help for the loyal customer, but big discounts for potential customers. Seems a bit backward to me. Nissan wants to be respected like Honda and Toyota but lacks the substance and customer understanding to be a tier 1 player. To add insult to injury, now Im hearing that there are turbo issues with the diesel motors. Save yourself the disappointment by staying clear of Nissan.

I will come by and get my vehicle and take it home and replace the fuel tank on my own. When I arrived Darryl ** and Eric informed me I owed them $55. I asked for what? They said because they had to drive the vehicle in and out of the shop twice. So they are just charging me because they drove my vehicle around. Are they serious??? Really? They did nothing to my car. They only inspected it and looked at it. They did no work whatsoever to it. But they want to charge me $55.I mentioned Ive been in the Air Force for 18 years. Is there any way to waive this. They said no. Wow. They apparently must rip off everyone with what all the comments below say! Everyone seems to have the same complaint and mention being ripped off. I see a pattern here. Hmmm!!! It is also apparent to me that Nissan of Melbourne does not support the military. Seriously if they did would they not have waived the fee??? I plan to mention to every military member I know, and ask them to mention to every military member they know not to go to this place, and not to go to any Nissan at all because they consistently rip people off and do not support the military in my eyes. I found the recall and the campaign on the highway safety commissions website for the 2005 Nissan Armada fuel sending units. On 11/7/2014 my husband was driving my 2005 Nissan Armada at 3 AM on the busy 5 Lane Highway in Washington state at 65 mph. My SUV came to a abrupt stop in the middle of the highway. It would not turn over to start. The hazard lights would not come on. The state police put out 15 road flares and still they were both almost hit by three trucks and two cars. My Armada showed I had a quarter of a tank of gas. I had to have my sub towed to Campbell Nelson Nissan dealership in Edmonds Washington. Robert, the service manager called and advised me that the fuel sending unit was bad. It shows I have a quarter of a tank but I was really out of gas. John, the manager told me thats what he suspected was wrong with my SUV. John also advised me that there was a warranty on the fuel sending unit but it was only for 72,000 miles but at the least I feel that I should not get stuck with the bill because I bought the car used and had no clue that they had this issue or that it would almost cause the life of my husband or an innocent state trooper. I feel Nissan should open the recall and extend the warranty for the 2005 Nissan Armada fuel sending units. I know only certain 2005 models were in the campaign and recalled but this is what was wrong with my Armada the same thing Nissan campaign for. I want Nissan to cover the bill. Its an unsafe issue and if you guys do not reopen this recall Nissan is going to get somebody killed. If I have to take it to my Lawyer then so be it.

We have called Nissan Consumer Affairs, they dont care. Some of their representatives tell us the parts are covered, others tell us they arent. One of their representatives told me he would accept that listed parts arent covered, pay for them, and move on. That is what I suggest every Nissan owner should do. Move on to another car maker. Until you can get rid of your Nissan be honest when people ask if you would buy another, tell them no. Tell people you are not happy with Nissan. Explain and give examples to people of what Nissan does wrong. If Nissan wont listen, we must get everyone else to listen to us. Dont buy a Nissan.

I have dealt with this company for 4 years from not receiving my payment statements, to payments sent on time, to them posting them several day after receiving them at their post office box, to filing written complaints with a response justifying their negligent actions. If you ever purchase a vehicle from Nissan try to go to another financial institution. This one is horrible, they hang up on you if they dont want to hear your complaint, misrepresent themselves. 1 car 2 lemon, never received statements, pay on time, post payments close to grace period ending date, no reason why? I contacted them several times over first few months, could not pay online, because someone opened account and put a password on it that I could not access, they could not delete - bottom line I could not use. 2nd car total brand new lemon send payments on time, they post close to end grace period, same problem, now I pay through bill pay. Will be filing a complaint with the BBB and attorney general, other complaints too long to list. I was referred to my bank to refinance through them so I no longer have to deal with Nissan. I am considering this.

I cant tell you how disappointed I am with Nissan Consumer Affairs regarding a problem we have experienced with our 2005 Nissan Murano. Im referring to Case ** in which they told us that our car needed a transfer case replacement. Although the Murano is 9 years old it only has 24,900 miles on it. Nissan has quoted me $3,200 to fix this problem. I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs (a gentleman named Will) because I did not feel a transfer case should go out after only 24,900 miles on it, even though it may be 9 years old. He claims they looked into this issue and offered to pay a token $500 towards the $3,200 repair bill. This seems extremely low, and that Nissan feels no responsibility for the mechanical failure of their cars. When I asked what would cause a transfer case to go out, Will told me he did not know and maybe we did not drive it enough, which seemed ridiculous. He then told me I had 30 days to either use the $500 or lose it. I told him I really did not see any option here since the car can not be driven. He however said I did, we could just walk away from it and that some people with 180,000 to 200,000 mile choose to walk away versus pay for an expensive repair bill. I told him our car with 24,500 miles versus 200,000 was a big difference. He said it was his job to relay this statement. We have had several Nissan vehicles and until now I have been very happy with them, however after this experience, we will be hard pressed to say a good word about Nissan and any responsibility towards the reliability towards their cars. This is a faulty mechanical equipment problem, not a time issue. Its obvious No one at Nissan Consumer Affairs cares but after this experience, I will never purchase another Nissan vehicle, nor will I probably ever use their Service Dept again. Extremely disappointed in Nissan!!!

I bought a new 2018 Versa S plus in July. It gets good gas mileage and looks good. That’s where the good ends... The bad, The CVT transmission has an intermittent issue where it vibrates or shudders when coming to a stop. Dealer cannot find an issue. The main seal where engine meets transmission is seeping oil. The dealer refused to acknowledge it was oil (called it a liquid) and said Nissan will not cover repair unless it is dripping on the ground! Really???I’ve had my oil changed twice, both times at two different Nissan dealerships. Both times they overfilled oil. First time they pumped 5 qts into a car in which the owners manual states 3.75 qts and had to drain some out. The 2nd time they put in 4 qts and had to drain some out. The incompetence in these authorized Nissan dealerships is bewildering!I’ve had three 27 point inspection and not one mention of the oil that is leaking from main seal. The green box is checked for leaks underneath car! I will be changing my own oil going forward and saving receipts. At least I know it will be done right... I will not purchase another Nissan product based off of my experience with the brand and incompetent service centers. I will definitely be selling this car before warranty is expired.

I bought a Nissan 370Z convertible 15 months ago with very low mileage. Just beyond the 36,000 mile mark, my convertible top experienced issues which needed to be addressed right away. I brought the car into the shop, they diagnosed the problem, and ordered the part which took 30 days to arrive and install. It was discovered that a second part was also faulty and needed fixing. Five weeks later, I am out $1,750 and still have no working part as we are waiting for the second part to arrive and be installed. The mechanic who was put in numerous hours trying to navigate through the issues flat out told me on three separate occasions to get rid of my Nissan vehicle as the craftsmanship is very poor and the electrical system is backwards (he was referring to Nissan in general). He also says working with Nissan Japan when ordering parts is a pretty painful experience as well - parts take forever. I can attest to this. So in short, I paid $12,000 more for a vehicle with a convertible top that barely made it past its warranty. This is the second Nissan convertible I have owned, and both had expensive electrical and convertible top issues. I can comfortably say that Nissan is the Walmart of the automotive industry. I look forward to turning away as many potential Nissan customers as possible in the future since so many ask me about my car.

When I purchased a 2011 Nissan Frontier, I was asked, How would you like your payments to be made? Through automatic withdrawal or through mail? I clearly stated that I would like an online account that would draft my payments automatically on the 17th day of every month. When I first discovered that payments were being taken from my online account and through mail, I contacted my bank to stop the payment. I then contacted Nissan to inform them I did not want my account being drafted twice a month. Fast forward to a year later: the same thing, but only this time Nissan Finance writes an email to me apologizing for mistakenly drafting twice out of my account. I took the initiative to cancel one of the two payments that they were taking. Once I did, Nissan did the same thing; therefore, no payment was received for the month of July. Harassing phone calls everyday all day began approximately 4 days after. I spoke with a lot of callers (all of which I cant understand due to language barriers). I explained my grievance and they said, Sorry, but you now must make a payment for last month.” I find this company to be poorly run, disorganized and filled with negligence across the board. I can promise that this Nissan 2011 Frontier will be the last Nissan I buy and I will gladly share this story with anyone interested in buying a Nissan.

Three months after we bought our Nissan Versa, we got a call from a very snotty representative informing us that they had given us the incorrect title for our car and wanting us to bring it back (an hour and a half drive one way) so they could straighten it out. The fuel mileage was grossly misrepresented on the vehicle. The sticker said it was supposed to get 38 mpg, and I only get 30 at most - all highway driving by the way.The warranty is worthless - a piece of trim flew off the car roughly 5 months after we bought the car, and shortly thereafter, the plastic fog lens replacement piece fell off. The local dealership gave the run-around, canceling two appointments because they didnt want to have to waste their time with us. Just recently (33,000 miles), we realized that the tires needed to be replaced. We called the dealership where we had originally bought the car and were told that unless we had detailed records showing we had done the rotations exactly per their schedule, we were out of luck. The warranty was supposed to be 3 years/36,000 miles bumper to bumper. What a crock! We were told at the Nationally Recognized Chain store we took it to, that Nissan purposely toes-in the tires on their small cars to make the car seem to handle better than it really does. They had badly over-toed the tires on this car, hence the exxagerrated baldness on the tires.

I financed my car December 2015 and on April 1st 2017 my car broke down on my after stopping at a stop sign. It was a Saturday at 5pm so no service centers were opened and my car read a warning Chassis Control Error see owner manual. Well when you looked in the manual all it read was to contact Nissan. Have my car towed to Nissan 24 on Monday morning where I found out there was a recall on the CVT Transmission. I was informed that day that my transmission has given out on me. They told me they dont know what caused it but it COULD have been because I only replaced one tire on my AWD vehicle. Town Fair Tire told me I didnt need to replace all. Should I replace all four tires every time I receive a flat??? Then he said that they received failed codes on the transmission. My issue is why after 16 months of having a vehicle does the transmission go. I did the proper maintenance, so I just called Nissan Consumer to see if Nissan will take the car back. I feel like I was given a dud. I used to drive a 2009 Nissan Cube but after 6 years the transmission went on that too so I feel like these car are being made with poor parts. This will be the last Nissan I purchase.

I have been a Nissan customer since 2004 and was happy with the brand until one of my Nissans started having issues. I purchased a Nissan extended warranty when the car was new and unfortunately it ended up being a waste of money. My car is a Roadster and it is making some loud noises during closing it and has excessive wind noise along with rattles. The dealer, St. Charles Nissan, said it is normal operation to avoid a repair under extended warranty. They even charge me a diagnostic fee for that. It is obviously not normal based on hundreds of top related online complaints so I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs for their help. They basically said they can not force the dealer to do anything. We had bought two Muranos from the same Nissan dealership without any problem. In 2010, I needed a smaller vehicle for my increased commute so we bought a Rogue. Transmission failed at 78K; replacement failed after another 46K miles. They will not cover this 2nd failed transmission. Their office of consumer affairs was unprofessional and dismissive. And we HAD been in the Nissan family for over 10+ years! Completely unprepared for this experience, as we thought Nissan would most definitely care and would most definitely replace this clearly defective AND DANGEROUS faulty transmission. How wrong we were! We no longer have any accolades to give this company, and will deter family and friends from buying from this dishonest company. The transmission is dangerous as gears would slip on the highway, stall at intersections, and decelerate when trying to merge into traffic. And they KNOW this transmission is defective. Weve never had such a scary driving experience on the road as well as such an outrageous experience with a customer service HA! department anywhere else. We are done with them unless they replace this transmission with no cost to us!

Been taking my Nissan 07 Pathfinder with 47,000 miles to the dealership for maintenance since I leased then bought it. Over two to three years Ive been reporting a sound coming from the car as I accelerated up to 25 then again at 40 mph. This problem was never resolved because it came and went and it almost never surfaced when I would bring the car in for maintenance. They would tell me its the heat shields and tighten them but the noise would return. I had scheduled a 45,000 mile maintenance and on the way to the dealership my engine began to rumble then the service engine light came on where. I was told by the adviser that a coil and a platinum spark plug needed to be replaced to fix the engine misfire. I was given a loaner and they worked on my car for two days. I got my car back and everything seemed fine, the engine light was off, car was smooth. A little more than a week later after I dropped off my wife at work, the engine started to act up and rumble and engine light came on again. I was not far from the dealership so I decided take it in. All of a sudden, halfway to the dealership, I cannot drive past 25 mph and the car starts to make the noise its been making when I accelerated to 25 and 40 mph, the same noise Ive been complaining about for about 3 yrs and now its amplified. I told the service adviser about the incident and told it could possibly be the catalytic converter which is covered under warranty until 2015 by federal emissions law so it would be no cost to me to be replaced. I needed to go to work so again I was given a loaner and the job took two days. I received a call from Nissan and was told that the catalytic was very clogged and parts broke off damaging the engine and it was going to cost $6,600 or more to rebuild or replace the engine. My warranty inconveniently expired three months ago. How can this happen to a car with low miles and with an excellent maintenance record? Shouldnt Nissan be responsible?

Purchased a used 2011 Nissan Versa with low mileage (66k) thinking that, like previously owned Nissans, this will last until 300k without any major issues. At 79k miles the car feels like it is loose and swaying back and forth while driving and the service light comes on. Take to Nissan dealer and find a recall and after looking at the transmission, they say we need to replace the transmission because it is giving a fail code. They only want $4000+ for the replacement, more than we owe on the car. Of course I did my research and see the thousands of complaints on the CVT engine that is supposedly the most efficient transmission on the market and they had upped the warranty coverage up until 2010 model to 120k miles. Great, that doesnt help my 2011 but I checked and it was manufactured in 2010, so I call 1800Nissan1 and complain and ask for help. To their benefit they come back and say they will pay half the transmission cost. Half, for a transmission with obvious issues that they know about but will not recognize officially. My wife and I bought the Nissan because it was a go-to car brand, it would be reliable, it would not let us down. In the midst of this the neighbors 2012 Nissan Altimas CVT transmission failed. I hate to say this, having had the 1996 Nissan Sentra for almost 14 years, but never will we buy another Nissan. My plan was to pay the car off this year anyhow so now it will sit as a monument until some reasonable lawsuit is filed on behalf of the people CVT transmissions has left stranded.

Purchased date:06/12/2015; Model: 2015 Versa S Plus; Dealer: Imperio Nissan of Irvine, CA; Service Rep: Scott; On November 1, 2016, around 9:50 am, our car was traveling in a very slow speed on an interchange on-ramp from freeway 110 north bound to 105 west bound in Los Angeles County. The traffic was moving in a slow fashion on an uphill on-ramp. As the traffic was getting slower, I gently stepped on the brake to slow down the car. While I was holding down the brake pedal, suddenly I heard a clunk noise and felt a vibration. At this point, the car started moving on its own without a sign of slowing down. I immediately tried to step on the brake with full force but felt the brake pedal having no pressure at all. Although a safe distance was kept from the front car prior to the accident, as the brake pedal traveled down to the floor, the car continued to move closer to the front car with uncontrollable speed. At that time, the only thing I could do was to veer the car towards the right edge to avoid direct impact with the front car. Based on the owners manual, I believed the anti-lock braking system function was being erroneously activated at the time of the incident since the dry and non-slippery road condition did not warrant such activation. And what made things even worse was, for whatever the reason, the car was moving on its own with uncontrollable speed while the brake pedal pressure was completely lost due to a faulty ABS activation, which directly caused the car crash. This vehicle was purchased brand new on June 12, 2016 and a subsequent recall serviced was done on August 13, 2016 from the same dealer following a recall notice with regard to sudden acceleration safety concern. The liability insurance claim was filed for the accident. The mileage was 8740 at the time of accident. The dealer was contacted on 11/7/2016 and the service rep named Scott was refused to take the car for inspection. I called Nissan consumer affair in TN and a on-site investigation and inspection is yet to be confirmed.

Let me start off by saying, I just came back from overseas, and I am now stationed in Fort Stewart, GA. I am looking into purchasing a brand new Nissan Altima. I searched online and made a few stops. I had stopped by your Hinesville store, and saw a car I wanted. I asked them to give me the write up, because I wanted to go through my own bank. A guy there, who said he was the manager, said he would get the pricing together, and give me a call back. I never got any calls, only one from someone named Julie, and she does not know what she is doing. She had no clue I was just waiting for the price. Then, the internet manager from there called me, and I told him that I just got a phone call from his co-worker, and I think no one really wants to sell me a car. On 10 November 11, someone ran my credit with out my permission. I told them up front if I were to purchase a car, I would not go through Nissan. I am not aware what the law is for that, but I am looking into that now. Next, your Savannah store call me (Steven **). He seemed up front, and seemed as if he wanted to really help me. I told him I live about an hour away, and I didnt want to go up there and go through what I did at Hinesville. So we stopped by, and I showed him the car I wanted, and told him all I need was the write up to send to my bank.He talked to his manager, and he came over to speak with me. I explained to him why I wanted to go through my own bank, and he was so rude and had such an attitude. I understand Nissan will make more money if we go through them, but what he wasnt trying to hear is that, I may not get approved through you guys. So Steven told me that his computer was not working, but he would email me the write up, so I can send it to my bank. I got an email Saturday saying, he can send it to me, but we would have to come back. I dont understand why the manager just couldnt give it to us right then and there. I dont live right up the corner, to drive over there, to pick it up. This service is so unprofessional and I dont understand why I have to be treated like this. Is it because I am a woman? Your Hinesville store made me sit there for over an hour, while I watched him help other men. In the mean time, I had 2 infants, and my sister-in-law waiting in the car, right in their face. I have been out of the states for a long time, but I know that this kind of service is not acceptable. Here I am, a woman fighting for someones freedom, who doesnt even have the respect to help me. I am serious about buying a car and they are not serious about selling.I did not allow anyone to run my credit. I told them more than once, I would not go through Nissan. I will be looking into consequences for something like this. I feel like I was discriminated for being a woman. I also feel like someone blew me off, because I didnt want to finance through Nissan.

I have owned a significant number of Nissan vehicles - 2 Maximas, 2 Pathfinders, 2 Infinitis - and after my recent experience, I will never purchase again. I have a 2017 Maxima in which I knew had a mechanical issue. At the time I made the appointment with local dealership to inspect, mileage was under 60,000 miles. After waiting 10 days for appointment, their assessment was that I need a new front left bearing hub - the challenge, after waiting for the appointment, the mileage was now 60,265 miles and the warranty ends at 60,000. Their suggestion was to discuss with Nissan Consumer Affairs. Nissan position after more than a week of conversations - We dont care that you are a life long customer and that we will lose your future business. We refuse to help you because you are 0.4% out of warranty, even though you had to wait 10 days for your appointment with one of our dealers. So charged close to $200 for the assessment on a part that should be covered under warranty and dealership looking for additional $300 for a repair in which I can purchase an official Nissan part online for $60. No help. No consideration. No further purchases from me on a brand that shows no appreciation for their customers.

I purchased a 2013 Nissan Altima a year and half ago with 33,000 miles on it. The car is now at 74,000 miles and the transmission goes out. I got a check engine light on 05.20.2016 and the car would not start on 05.21.2016. I called and spoke to a Nissan Rep, with no comfort or remedy. I had to get my car towed to a mechanic, who confirmed the transmission was a bust. I searched the internet for reviews, and to my surprise, there were 100s of complaints and experiences just like mine. I dont get it Nissan... I thought you were one of the BEST... But disappointingly you the WORST!!!

I have an 11 month old daughter, who rides in a car seat. I rented the Altima. So, I placed the base of her car seat in the rear seat of the car. Put her in her car seat and locked her in as always. By the time we went 30 miles, her car seat was almost on its side. The belts do not lock the base in place. My concern is for any parent with small kids in car seats. Please look into this problem. I am taking the Altima back today.

My 2015 Nissan NV200 Van just hit 105k miles and transmission failed. I go to the dealership and thats when I find out how Nissan has a CVT transmission issue. I hear theres class action lawsuits and all. Well little did I know when I purchased. So the dealership said it will cost me $4300 to replace the transmission so I called Nissan Corporation Consumer Affairs and they said Im out of luck. They only warranty 100k miles Im 5000 miles over. What a piece of garbage company that puts out a bad product. No one expects a transmission to fail right around the 100k miles mark. That is unacceptable. Im like can you all cover some of the repairs but now they only care about their bottom line smh.

This space would never be enough to write all the issues we have had with our car. Its the worst deal, the worst customer service, the worst corporation, the worst car, the worst company. That company has stole the money from us. I had never thought was going to be that bad. The car has gave us lot problems, consumes the amount of gas that 3 cars all together will do from other brands. The doors got stuck and had to take it to dealer to open them stupid tickets. Can not appeal to the clerk. I really hate this company. They are such a stealers not dealers, stealers... I will never recommend it to no one.

Nissan has to be one of the worst companies known to man. If youre having issues dont even bother to contact consumer affairs because all youre going to get is an Im sorry. Honestly sorry does nothing for the problem I am having. A little over 30 days ago I purchased a certified 2014 Nissan Sentra. All to find out I was infested with German roaches. The dealership refused to fix this issue until I personally went in there and threatened to tell all of their customers they sell cars with roaches in them. What makes it worst is I also need my brakes done and my ac filter changed. But to make things worse the mechanic wont touch my vehicle in the condition that it is in because it is infested with cockroaches. I called Nissan USA and only thing that they could say is Im sorry to hear that. My car has been bombed over 10 times and over a week later I still have only gotten a sorry from Nissan. Quite frankly I dont even want my car back after it had to be bombed 10 times.

We WERE a Nissan family. 2012 Rouge on second transmission. First faulty transmission caught fire after Service Manager assured us the car was fine to drive. This left my 18 year old daughter on the side of a highway with a flaming car. 2015 Rouge CVT needed to be replaced. Sounded like the wheels were going to fall off. 2012 Versa transmission replaced the same week as the 2012 Rouge. Researched the Versa and it had air bags that were recalled and I was never notified. Called Corporate Nissan and spoke with two separate representatives that could have cared less that for safety or reliability. My daughters were both dismissed by service managers that told them their cars were fine. I am a single mom who has purchased 8 Nissans over the past 25 years. After speaking with Corporate Nissan three cars are going to be traded very quickly!!! BUY ELSEWHERE.

I have had to change the gearbox of my Nissan Lafesta thrice in three years. The car has two main problems. Loses power after doing 20kms; it suddenly stalls on the road and gives the check-engine light. Diagnosis indicates problems with a different sensor with every visit to the mechanic which is at least twice a week. I have had to replace the gearbox twice in three years and yesterday my mechanic recommended I change the gearbox again. This is the first Nissan I am owning after good experiences with other car brands. I WILL NEVER BUY A NISSAN AGAIN.

Im on my second leased vehicle from Nissan, and until today, I have never had an issue with the vehicle and/or Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation (NMAC). Last year, I decided to take a job out of state, and I brought the vehicle with me on a trailer. I called Nissan and informed of them my change of address as soon as I has settled in, so that the correct taxes were included on my monthly bill and any correspondence would be forwarded to my new address. I also inquired about early termination penalties since I knew I would be getting a company vehicle in 2016. I drove my Nissan for a few months, until my company car was available, and then it just sat in my garage. A couple of months after that, I decided I didnt want to keep paying insurance for a vehicle that I wasnt using, so I called NMAC and spoke to an agent about my options. This was sometime in February or March 2016 and my lease isnt up until December 2016. I was told by an agent (whose name I didnt write down) that I could return the vehicle after inspection and continue to make my automatic monthly payments until the end of my lease agreement. She arranged for AIM to come inspect the vehicle at my home and gave me instructions for the dealership. She was actually very helpful. Shortly after my inspection, I returned the vehicle to a nearby dealership and continued to make my monthly payments. However, on July 5, I received a letter from NMAC requesting the remaining balance on my account by July 16. I called the NMAC customer service number and was told by another agent that once I returned the vehicle to the dealership, my account was closed and my automatic payments were stopped. I offered to pay the 3 months of missed payments due to the oversight, and reinstate my automatic payments until the end of my lease agreement in December, but this apparently is not an option. The only option now is pay the remaining balance owed by July 16. If I do not make a payment by then (today is July 25), my account will be sent to collections. Had I known about this policy, believe me, I would not have returned my vehicle in April. I was provided incorrect information by the agent I spoke to in February or March of this year, and I am not being penalized for it. I didnt receive a letter informing me of the situation, prior to this one, because the letters were being sent to my old home address. However, my cell phone number (primary number on my account) has never changed. In the 5 years I have been leasing a vehicle from Nissan, I have never missed a payment, and now I am going to be sent to collections for trying to do the responsible thing. This is not how you treat a loyal customer. I find it ridiculous that a company would rather pay a collection agency to set up a monthly payment schedule with their customer, than work with them in the first place to come to an understanding. All I want to do is keep paying my bill responsibly, as I have been for the last 5 years I have leased a vehicle with Nissan. NMACs intransigent attitude is not good customer service. I for one, will never buy or lease a vehicle from Nissan again.

I have a 2008 Pathfinder. A few weeks ago the check engine light came on and the fuel gauge stopped working. I checked the web and found a recall from Nissan for 2008 pathfinder that had an issue where the check engine light came on and the fuel gauge stopped working. Perfect I thought so I took it to the dealership. They informed me that even though it was the exact same part for the same make, model and year, my VIN was not covered. So they will not cover the cost to fix. I have owned 3 Nissans and was planning on purchasing another next year. Now that I see that Nissan cares more about $400 than it does about this safety of their owners. I will never purchase a Nissan again. I think they are cheap and dishonest.

On January 15th, 2015 I met with Internet advisor of Nissan of Duarte to trade in my 2012 Prius C for 2015 Leaf thinking I was going from hybrid to electric. What was I thinking? I traded in my Prius for 2015 leaf. When I left dealership leaf wasnt fully charged I was given option of taking my Prius home and to have leaf delivered next day. I figured Leaf had enough gas to get me home and I could charge it the next day. Boy was I wrong. As I was driving approaching Burbank the gas bars kept going down which forced me to exit freeway and head to Glendale Nissan hoping I could charge vehicle... Unfortunately it is 11 pm and dealer is closed. I am stranded with brand new car alone in front of Nissan dealership. I had to contact Nissan roadside assistance to tow vehicle to my home. I got home past 2 am frustrated and exhausted I had to miss work the next day.The whole process of charging vehicle at home only works if you have your own place, if you rent like me it is simply not practical. I had to go to dealership near my home to charge vehicle daily. This car only allows you to go so many miles without requiring recharge, not worth it if it is main car in your household. 3rd day with this car and I had to call AAA again because me and my spouse were stranded at gas station after going to a theater 15 miles away from home car required charging again pathetic. On 4th day I contacted Internet representative from Nissan of Duarte and demanded something to be done. I couldnt be stuck with a lemon on a lease for 5 years and in spite of everything I was willing to do business with Nissan. I returned Nissan leaf on 1/18/15 and leased 2015 nissan altima and after having car for 4 days only I was stuck with 10000 negative equity on top of 24000 for Altima lease for 5 years. I am paying almost $600 month for an Altima and after recently contacting nissan consumer affairs I was told that nissan of Duarte followed proper procedures. Talk about complete rip off. Beware false mileage advertising of leaf and company that doesnt stand behind its products. The worse part this is 2nd vehicle purchased at this dealer but after going through depression and all stay away if you can therere better cars in the market. My ratings below pertain to Leaf.

My credit is good so I financed my new 2016 Nissan Rogue at my credit union with no trouble. A couple of weeks later, I mistakenly pumped diesel fuel in my new car. It happened at Sheetz. They say it cant be done and the nozzle wouldnt fit. They finally said it is Nissans fault. Nissan passed me around from one customer service person to another. It appears to be a game with them. They seem to have a lot of customer service people who will call you and ask you a few questions just to have someone else call you. It definitely is a way of looking like they are paying attention to you but the result is they wont do anything to help you. Besides that problem that same day, I tried to use Nissan roadside assistance which I had been told I should have, when it happened. My tow charges were more because they said I didnt have it when I tried to use it and I was forced to call 911. I understand I made a mistake but that nozzle fit right into my car and the only way I saw what had happened was when my car stalled and I read my receipt. Anyway, both Nissan and Sheetz first said they would help but then wouldnt. Dont buy a Nissan. There is no customer service. They will just waste your time. Reference telephone for Nissan **. I think it is time to run these foreign vendors out of the US since they wont take any responsibility for the faulty design of their cars.

I have an electric blue 2005 Nissan Frontier Nismo. Since about 2008 and 40,000 miles, it has been shedding paint like my car sheds hair! It started with the front left quarter panel, then the front right quarter panel, then the right rear quarter panel, then the gutters on the roof, then both doors on the right side, and also many other obscure places like the gas tank door, and underneath the hood, a place that never encounters any weather or road related contact. I bought the truck used with approximately 41,000 miles on it and, after I bought the truck, I found out that the previous owner had actually already dealt with this issue and had taken the truck to Nissan, complained about the paint peeling and Nissan did a tape test on the vehicle. They pulled off a significant amount of paint but then claimed that the issue was not a factory defect. I have gone through all of the appropriate steps with Nissan and basically have gotten the runaround. They keep claiming that its not a factory defect and that there is nothing that they can do to help me.I have formed a Facebook group titled 2005 electric blue Nissan frontier paint delamination. I am seeking as many affected Nissan Frontier owners that have experienced the same paint defect with that year, make and model and color of truck. The more people that I can get to come forward with this issue, the stronger my case will be. I have been in contact with the same attorney group that is handling the transmission/radiator recall and they are very interested in taking up this case as a class action lawsuit. So please, if you are affected by this paint peeling issue, please add yourself to the group on Facebook and we will go from there. Thank you.
