I leased a 2014 Pathfinder May of 2014. My gas mileage was very poor. At 2500 miles, I was averaging 8 to 9 miles to the gallon. The car is rated at 19 city and 25 highway. I mentioned it to the service department and he said I need to get more miles on the engine and that it would improve. Well I dont expect to get 19 mpg but at least 15 to 16 mpg. I now have 11,000 miles on the car and am averaging a big 10.1 to 10.3 city and 12.6 highway. I am not a lead foot driver. I took it to my dealership and they said they would check it out correct any problems they find. After having the car all day, they claim there is nothing wrong with my car. Is 12.6 highway send up a red flag or what. My friend has the exact same car as myself, same model, year, and engine. He averages 15.9 city and 18.2 highway with his a/C on. I mentioned this to my dealer, they said to call Nissan consumer affairs rudely. Well I did, they tried to tell me maybe its the way I drive and look at my book from Nissan to get some tips on how to drive to get better gas mileage. What kind of tips can I get for highway driving? Your foot basically stays in one position driving on the turnpike at 65 to 70 mph. The woman at consumer affairs said to take it to another Nissan dealer for a second opinion and if they find nothing wrong then Im basically stuck with what I have. She also said the gas estimates are just that an estimated mpg. Does 12.6 mpg come even close to the 25 mpg rating of Nissan. If I dont get any solution from Nissan then I will put big lemons on the car with gas mileage I am getting and park it in front of the dealership. Maybe it will get someones attention. Well, thats where I stand at this point.

I purchased a 2011 SL Nissan Juke a little over 2 years ago. I chose the Nissan Juke because, at the time, it seemed like the perfect balance of practicality and aesthetics for a car under 25k. About 1 year into ownership, the car began to lose its ability to retain a battery charge. Several times the car needed a jump start. I took it into the dealership, and was told the battery was faulty -- hard to believe for a car just 1-year off the lot. I changed the batter per the dealerships recommendations. At about 68,000 miles, I take in the car to get checked out because of a rattling noise coming from the engine. A diagnostic was run, and I was told that I would be looking at a $2500 repair to replace and/or repair the timing chain, which, according to the tech, I should do sometime soon. At 70,000 miles, the vehicle completely stalls out while driving and eventually decelerates to a complete stop. The car no longer started, and I had to have it towed to the dealership. Now, the Nissan dealership is telling me that I need a completely new engine because there was damage caused by the timing-chain, which end up costing nearly $10,000. Ive since then learned that there are countless other Nissan Juke owners that have had the exact same thing happen to them. Not surprisingly, a class-action lawsuit has been filed against Nissan on the exact same issue. I need information regarding becoming a part of a class-action lawsuit filed against Nissan for failure to disclose knowledge about a faulty timing-chain design, and subsequent failure to issue a necessary recall on the model to repair the defect.

I know these complaints are mostly about Nissan Muranos. I presently own a 08 Nissan Rogue in which my transmission went out on me while on road trip from North Carolina. I purchased it from Nissan dealership in 2011 with approximately 50k. I presently have 121k miles. When I found it was the transmission I did some research because as long I have been driving I know transmission dont go out on cars at 121k. I called Nissan consumer care and found out that an extended warranty is on Rogue transmissions. Being that I had 121k I ask about the mileage on warranty at 120k. I was told mileage didnt matter and take to Nissan dealership. The dealership diagnosed as needing a new transmission. I found a letter on Nissan website stating that the warranty on CVT transmission had been extended to 120k /10 yrs from 60k 5 yrs. The letter also states that even past warranty mileage that decrease in repair cost would occur by Nissan. After speaking with Nissan Ive been told that no previous problem with transmission and being out of warranty they couldnt assist me with my transmission. Doing further research there are many people having/had issues with the CVT transmissions in Rogue/Muranos. I spoke with a few mechanics who said that transmissions dont fail @121k and Nissan had issues with CVT transmission. Right now I feel Im caught in rock and hard place. I have to spend $3500-$4000 for a major repair for a car that Im still paying for. I have purchased 3 prior Nissans and always thought highly for their cars. I believe that Nissan is trying to deflect responsibility for having a defective part. I just want Nissan to own up and replace it in good faith. I like the car, but after this Ill seriously consider and likely purchasing other brands and models of auto other than Nissans

Nissanconnect services is a joke. Its so difficult to understand what level and what options your vehicle has that the dealership doesnt even know. Nissan navigation is nothing short of pathetic. Its a very painful process to navigate to anywhere!! You cant even enter your home address unless its already in whatever ancient database Nissan is using. Nissan should completely abandon this system and work toward making Android Auto/Apple Carplay work wirelessly. For that matter all vehicle manufacturers should do the same.

I purchased a NISSAN Altima and took a loan with Nissan motor. That was the worst mistake of my life. I had my system on auto pay with my bank using e-bill. One day their e-bill stopped hitting my auto-pay and they made me default on the loan for 30 days. It has spoiled my credit history. When I try to contact them and explain it, they don’t respond, don’t care and don’t even want to find out what had been wrong with their IT systems. Worst company do deal with. Better avoid it.

2007 Nissan Titan, 4 months out of warranty, mileage is within warranty by 10K miles. Customer service advocate decided to deny assistance without ever learning the merits of our request. We are a family of Nissan owners. We currently own 3 Nissans and have had as many as 5 within the last ten years. Federal emissions warranty is for 8 years/80,000 miles. We purchased 02/27/2007, thus time element of warranty is out by four months. Cost of repair is over $2200 for the catalytic converter exhaust repair. Customer advocate advised that they were unwilling to assist because we hadnt visited the dealership for service. If they had bothered to call and discuss anything with us, they would realize we live over an hour away from the dealership and service visits by a retired individual that far away dont make economic sense. We ask for assistance and without any conversation with us, a decision was made. I cannot understand how this would ever be considered a customer service department when they chose not to communicate with their customer.

I bought my Maxima new back in 2005. I recently started having transmission problems. The car only had 51,000 miles. I took it back to the service department next to the dealer I bought it from in New Jersey. They confirmed the transmission needed to be replaced. They also found the timing chain needed to be replaced. The service guys said both should not have to be replaced so soon with the shape the car was in and the low mileage. I opened a case with Nissan North America. They basically said warranty expired, so too bad. Then they told me to take it to the dealer for possible trade in. They would take care of me. Yeah, right. They offered nothing for the trade. Sales knew about tranny and timing chain. New car deal was nothing special. This was second and last Nissan. I have since bought a Kia Optima.

They approved a one month extension, then pushed us one day over the 30-day mark by their own incompetence and now refused to remove this one and only credit glitch even though we were longtime, paying on time customers. Nissan is mean-spirited and inconsiderate to their customers and should be blackballed by all of us. In fact, dont even buy Nissan. I was going to buy another Titan, but this pushed me over into the Chevy column for all time no matter what they come up with. They might as well not even exist anymore. Theyre dead to me.

I have 2007 Altima and at 75k miles the transmission went out. Nissan gave a courtesy warranty extensions for Nissan Altima due to the fact they knew their CVT transmission were crap. I took my car to Torre Nissan in La Quinta Ca where they replaced the transmission because of the warranty. 56k miles later the transmission went out again. This time I called consumer affairs Nissan and dealt with an extremely rude Bernice. Basically when I called them out on faulty products she turned it on me. That I should have gotten my oil changes with Nissan to prevent this. Well, I got my oil changes done at a licensed mechanic shop and oil changes have nothing to do with my transmission. Ok so I took my car to a different dealership. I explained to them this will be the 3rd transmission. The guy told me they will inspect the car and look into finding out why the transmission keeps going out. I received a call 3 hours later letting me know it was indeed the transmission (ouch $3300) but they were able to locate the recurring problem. The transmission was overheating as the cooling system wasnt suffice, basically faulty design. This was something they have been seeing for sometime now. They suggested adding an additional cooling component as they have seen nothing but success by doing this. No more overheating from what they have experienced. Ok so an additional $387 to extend the life of this transmission. So naturally I contact Nissan consumer affairs to report the new findings as had the lasts dealership looked into it. We could have fixed it then to prevent this costly repair. Well once again I got a big screw you from Nissan and the same repeated answer, Unfortunately Nissan will not be able to provide financial assistance on out of warranty repairs. No matter what I said Erick repeated that same statement. So I am screwed because one of their dealerships didnt do their job and look into what caused the transmission failure because it was under warranty. So as a consumer I get screwed. But at first their excuse was I didnt get services at Nissan and now once I provide them with the information that I got the transmission through their dealership it is cause I am 16k over the extended warranty. All I was asking for was a little help. Screw Nissan and I will NEVER buy Nissan again.

I have always been very proud to say that I have purchased all of my cars from Nissan. I’ve been loyal customer to Nissan for 20 + years, buying all five of my cars and referred many of my family and friends who were looking for a car. My financing company for my Nissan Altima is Nissan as well. I travel many times a year and rent my cars through Nissan. Corona Nissan and Downey Nissan have been my dealerships. Tim ** is my loyal dealership representative who always took care of my car buying experience. Because of him he had proven to me what great customer care and loyalty Nissan has toward their customers. On 1/20/16 I got off work and attempted to head home. The indicator or key was lit up on my dashboard. I figured it was the battery in my remote and I could replace it. I stopped at the store on the way home. My car didn’t start leaving me stranded. After being towed to Carson Nissan, I was informed that the reason it didn’t start was because the Intelligent key malfunctioned and it would cost $1018.23 to fix. I had to borrow money to get this fixed. Looking in the owner’s manual, it clearly states that it is a Malfunction which to me is an issue that needs to be handled by Nissan.I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs in hopes that I could get some kind of financial support with this situation. The agent that contacted me within 24 hours left a message and said they would be making a decision on the matter within 7 business days. I tried to call her back to discuss the situation but receive a callback. I received a call denying my claim. I was told that this decision was based on the year of my car, mileage and my warranty expired back in July. Of course, for me, I was VERY disappointed. As a customer of Nissan I should have had the opportunity to be able to talk to someone that listened. Every time I called Nissan ConsumerAffairs I received an answering machine. The agent I spoke to I felt didnt listen. I believe that this decision was completely unfair. Not one person asked what kind of customer I am to Nissan. I always believed that Nissan took care of their customers but now that isn’t the case. Through the years, I have never contacted Nissan ConsumerAffairs for any kind of assistance. I understand that I am responsible for my car’s wear and tear. I would never take advantage of the company that I have always thought so highly of. However, in this matter, I feel that because my owner’s manual says malfunction this is an issue that Nissan should be responsible for. Due to this decision and how it was handled, I will NEVER buy a Nissan nor will I ever refer my friends and family members again.

After taking very good care of my 2008 Nissan Altima, I reached the end date of my lease and returned the car to the dealership from whom I took out the original lease agreement, Bridgewater Nissan in Bridgewater New Jersey. The dealer accepted my car and I moved on. Then, I received a letter from NMAC telling me that I owed Nissan $2,167.61! The letter stated that due to Excess Wear And Use, they were assessing me this fee. Now, so as to avoid the appearance of editorializing, heres a few facts on what really happened: 1) I was not present when the actual inspection was done; 2) I took great care of the car during the time I leased (e.g. always garaged) and I put 4 brand new tires on before I turned it in and 3) there is no way of knowing how NMAC arrived at the charges listed on the letter. The only conclusion one can draw is that (as others on this site have asserted), this is simply a way for Nissan to create new revenue streams during a time when American cars are in the ascendancy. So, lesson learned - from now on, I will only be buying/leasing vehicles from reputable sources such as Ford and GM and not from duplistic makers such as Nissan!

I never thought I would dislike Nissan, after having purchase two cars from them in the past. But the preown side have a car salesman (Jose **) that is very unprofessional, and arrogant. The issue did not just end with me buying a car and in less than a month had to bring it back two times but the service I receive from Jose have ruined my chances of giving them another try. And when asked his manager to call he never did. Humberto **. Be careful buying from there. The cars have issue, they charge. They may want to charge you for their inspection they did before selling car, ask for that money back because the cars are taken not to Nissan if it is not a Nissan car, some to Jiffy Lube for oil change etc. The cars are not checked out properly and the only good person that helped was ERiC, the sales manager Humberto ** will not follow through. Be very careful. Buy at your own risk and ask questions on the wear and tear, get the car facts beforehand. It is not always driven by one driver. They use cars on lot as loaner cars.

I have received one statement in the 5 months I have now had the car. I have not received one email, correspondence, or phone call from these people. And then on 2/1/13, I made another payment which was supposed to be on 1/31/13 and then 2 payments in February as well on 2/23/13. They suck as a car manufacturer and as a lien holder. There was a reason that I had never purchased a car from them after 10 years ago and now I know why. I had leased a car with them for 7 months and got rid of it and now, after 5 months, I am ready to get rid of this car too. The fact is that it is a piece of crap and so is the company. They suck and they need to fix their error on my credit report as because of their screw up, my credit score dropped 40 points and now I will lose the new home I am buying.

I just replaced a transmission on a 2008 Nissan Rogue with only 133,608 miles on it. This car had a grinding noise in the transmission initially. It was a widely known problem (Check the NICO Club Rogue Forum). Nissan released a software patch in 2009 which resolved the issue. I got the update shortly after it was released on 11/30/09.On 10/20/14 my transmission failed, without warning, in four lanes of highway traffic. The car lost forward momentum and it was a miracle my wife and I were not killed getting the car off the freeway. We were towed to a dealership nearby and they informed me the transmission was dead and would have to be replaced. I paid $1000.00 out of pocket for replacement. The dealership said they got me help from Nissan who covered $3000.00. I requested reimbursement from Nissan of my $1000.00 and was denied. They basically said they had done enough. When I asked if they had actually paid the dealership $3000.00 the rep said that was proprietary information. Sound shady? Yep! I will never - EVER - buy a Nissan product again and I will never own a CVT again. Buyer beware!!

Put 1500 into the car but cant continue to do it. Its an awesome car when it runs and just when you think it wont stall it does in the middle of a rotary on a main strip.

I purchased my Night Armor colored Frontier new in 2011. It wasnt until after my paint began to flake off the front fender wells, that I researched online and found this to be a long standing problem with Nissan Frontiers. I expected the paint to fade and lose its luster over time but to have the paint just completely flake off is something I wasnt prepared for. The exterior of my truck was detailed on a regular basis that consisted of washing, clay bar, sealant and waxing and yet my paint is flaking off, along with rust in the water channels on the roof. This without a doubt is a manufacturers defect in the paint process or the paint itself that Nissan refuses to acknowledge. Toyota has a similar issue on some of their vehicles but they have gone as far as extending the paint warranty to 14 yrs for all of its customers, kudos Toyota. There is no indication that the problem has been resolved on the 2022 Frontier model... BUYER BEWARE. This is a clear indication why they are losing market share... Nissan has lost me as a repeat customer!!!

I cannot begin to laud all the positive things I need to say about my Nissan. I have had the car since 2004 and it has been an absolute joy to own such a great car. In the thirteen (13) years I have owned this fine vehicle I have not put ANY major parts into it. I do routine maintenance ie: oil changes, tires, battery (1) one time. Have driven from my home state to Northern WASHINGTON without anything out of the ordinary. Total miles was over (3000) three thousand and all I did was buy gas.

I purchased a 2009 Nissan Rogue, new. I have owned this car for 10 years, and have paid through the nose for control arms and wheel bearings. August 4th 2015 my transmission overheated on the 400, kicked into safe mode from Cruise control and almost got us run over by a transport. It was repaired with an accessory oil cooler by Nissan two weeks later. Same thing happened 2 days ago on a trip back from Lemington. I have under the 200,000 km, but am 1 month over my warranty. So, I have been in talks with Nissans customer care department. My warranty was up July 30th. The band aid fix for my transmission on August 5th 2016 has failed 1 month after the warranty was up...imagine that. It was a pretty car. Its pretty worthless now. Seriously think over your purchases....I now have no trade value.

In Feb 2013, I leased a brand new Nissan Pathfinder. I had an 2010 Altima prior but with my family size increasing, I decided to upgrade to something larger. The worst purchase of my life. On the SAME DAY I brought the vehicle home, it would not go into PARK. I had to return it to the dealer. After picking it up that evening on the drive home it started shaking violently to the point that my toddler was terrified in his car seat. I drove right back to the dealer who kept the car for 7 days and then called and said it was ALMOST repaired. But it is safe to drive and as soon as Nissan has the recall part ready I can bring it in and they would have it repaired. I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs after numerous fights with the dealer who washed their hands of the issue because they already had my money. Well the only thing worse than a Nissan vehicle is the people that work at their corporate offices. They were of no help and said they were not going to buy back the vehicle as I would have to wait for it to be fixed. I picked up the truck and the VERY NEXT DAY, it completely stalled in a parking lot. It had to be towed into the dealer. 48 hours later I was told that it would be there for another 7 days or so because it needed a NEW TRANSMISSION!!! Please keep in mind all this in only 15 days and I havent even put 50 miles on the car! Well after numerous talks with Nissan and the dealer I got screw over because I am to this day stuck with a vehicle that still never works right. The parking sensor light comes on when its 37 degrees, the heated seats malfunction, the car is always jittery and the tires were terrible! Had to be replaced after 20K miles! To add insult to the injury the Nissan dealer did not submit my payment that was made to them to their finance company in a timely manner and they reported that late payment on my credit report! Even though I have recurring payments set up with them. And it gets worse. I just relocated to PA from NY and they increased my payment by 60 dollars stating that the taxes are different! All with no explanation! Their customer reps are downright rude and nasty! This is the WORST COMPANY ever! I tell everyone I know how horrific they are and how horrible their vehicles are! I have met many people who have had the same issues with this type of car and who feel so ripped off and violated by this company.

Bought the used 2012 Nissan Sentra S in July and after starting to drive it, kept hearing a popping and clunking noise coming from the passenger side rear area. Pops and snaps when turning the wheel right and braking and straightening the steering. I have spoken with other owners of the Nissan Sentra and they have the same issues. Some customers have spent lots of money trying to resolve the issue but I think Nissan needs to step up and take the responsibility for a faulty design. Other Nissans owners are having the same issues. Scary to drive and seems difficult to diagnose, but may be coming from the steering or wheel area. Please help us to keep the reviews positive for Nissan here in Smyrna but at this point it is not a pleasant experience.

To say Im disgusted would be an understatement. On Saturday when I tried to leave my house my car was humming and driving slow so I assumed the oil was low. I went to have the oil changed and it drove fine for the rest of the day. Monday it started acting up again so I added transmission fluid and did some research online and noticed that Nissan was extending the warranty on the CVT transmission (obviously others were having issues). Im being told now by Nissan that my warranty is VOID since I added transmission fluid. Really?? First of all no one even contacted me. I had to find out when the car starting acting up by doing my own research. If you are shopping for a car DO NOT get a NISSAN. The way they treated me today was horrible. Nissan Consumer Fair showed the worst customer service today, but I guess they carry themselves the way Nissan does.

Since day 1 of having my Nissan Rogue 2016 SL FWD, have had constant issues. Front auto braking sensor malfunctioned the day I drove it off the lot in July 2016. Didnt have my car for 2 weeks, dealership was clueless on when the parts would be coming in. Dealership said they would paid for all the gas consumed in their loaner car for those two weeks and they paid 75% of it. At that point, didnt care to deal with them. Factory tires on the Rogue are junk, so loud on the highway. Acceleration is awful and the gas pedal vibrates. Had issues with something being loose in the driver side door, made a chirping sound when I closed it. Passenger door does the same thing now. Back door hatch makes a noise when turning or backing out of the driveway. Took the dealership and they took it all apart, broke a couple clips for the back trim and put it back on anyways thinking I wouldnt notice. Took it to the dealership I bought it at, the Midwest Regional tech and Service manager messed with my back door to get it to stop making noise and said they would order all new parts for it. They never called me back when the parts came in so I just now have them doing the work. Now my steering wheel shakes a ton when braking on the highway with speed over 50mph, its back in the shop for a second time to figure out the problem after a quick resurface of the rotors. I will never suggest a Nissan to anyone ever again, these cars are junk. Overheard so many complaints about their new Nissans from other customers while I was in the dealership the other day.

2012 Nissan Rogue S AWD, with a CVT. 2015 Oct, I purchased the vehicle use with 96K miles, still within the bumper to bumper warranty (different owner). 2 Weeks after purchase during an attempt to vacation, we arrive in St. George with a smoking engine compartment and loss of fluids. The transmission blew due to it overheating. It over heating due to the poorly manufactured cooling portion of the CVT. Which resulting in the transmission being overheated and blown. The Nissan Dealer in St. George charged my purchased extended warranty for the replacement. Not the extended manufacture warranty it should have been covered under still. $4,600 total - $480 out of pocket.June 6th, 2017. (1.5 years later, 7 months outside of warranty and 124,500 miles) Traveling to Grand Junction. Vehicle started mimicking similar issues as prior. Had to replace the cooling portion of the unit. They upgraded it to the better version (the external cooler) that would prevent the transmission from over heating. $1,000 total $160 out of pocket. (Thank goodness for my extended warranty AGAIN). July 7th, 2018. 1 month outside of warranty for the external cooler and 136,907 miles. Traveling to Twin Falls. Same issues start occurring. AGAIN. Took to the dealership on 7/9 where I was advised that my transmission had went into fail safe mode 111 times. Leading to need to replace the transmission once again due to the external cooler not doing its job once again.I have contact Nissan Consumer Affairs, I opened a case which went to review. Subsequently being denied for Goodwill Assistance on 7/10 at 5:20 PM for assistance on another $5,000 repair due to defective manufacturing due to the vehicle being outside of the 60,000 mile manufacture warranty. I was very friendly offered the opportunity to purchase another vehicle from Nissan though. I THINK NOT! Nissan, it is time for you to own up to your defective vehicles and repair them at your cost since there are so many of these that are occurring with the same issue! I also urge everyone to contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and report the problems of loss of acceleration etc.

I turned in a 3 year leased 2015 Nissan and purchased a 2017 Nissan Altima
I turned in a 3 year leased 2015 Nissan and purchased a 2017 Nissan Altima on November 30, 2017. I only had one car in my possession. My automatic payment from my bank did not get stopped in time for two payments which both went to the leased car, which I had turned in. When I found out what happened in January (when I would normally make my first car payment on a new car) I went straight to the dealership and we both called numerous times about the over-payment. On January 22, 2018 I decided to make a second payment to protect my good credit. All they had to do was to transfer my funds to the new car. They said they would but they did not. I had an executive lease on the car (I highly recommend this) so I did not owe anything for any damage to the lease. I received a letter from Nissan Motor Acceptance telling me not to make a payment in February (because they were holding $1047) so I did not make Februarys payment, In March I made my regular payment for the new 2017 Nissan and realized they never transferred the funds to the right car in February! So, on March 7th I made two more car payments, again to protect my good credit (did I mention I received a letter that threatened to take back the car during this fiasco?). So, I paid March on time and did not pay Februarys payment because they said they would transfer the funds, but they did not. Late in March I received a check for over all the money they owed me. That was three months of my wasted time and after all that, they still ruined my I credit saying I was 30 days late in February and 60 days late in March!! Worst of all I contacted the 3 credit bureaus with the letter from Nissan saying not to pay in February and the check for over $1047 with an apology letter in March, but Nissan is refusing to allow my credit to be restored!! Ive lost out on a 0 interest credit card and have been denied credit due to this and my credit score has dropped from 733 to 705. It is now ten months later and I am still working on repairing the damage they have done!!

I took my vehicle to Haldeman Nissan in Hamilton NJ and was told it was not covered due to the wrong vin #. I should call Nissan consumer affairs. I was told someone would be back to me by end of day next day. That morning after supplying all information including quote of 4911.52 from dealership to repair (lined up exactly to recall repair) told nothing they could do since wrong vin #. I consider this not standing behind their product. A known issue and they will not fix a vehicle with approximately 60k miles. Last Nissan I will purchase. Also told by mechanic transfer case leaking and due to rust on my rotors they should be replaced. A small amount of rust accumulated since I had been on vacation and car was not used. I have purchased 3 new Nissans and financed exclusively through NMAC (Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation). On one occasion, NMAC indicated that I was 30 days late on a payment. I had never been late on any of my other NMAC loans and explained that my check was mailed on-time like all the other payments. The credit department made it clear that there was no forgiveness for being late and never once gave me any benefit of the doubt. My opinion is it doesnt matter if you have never been late and its all about the money to them. If they give you bad marks on your credit (which last for 7 years), then the next time you finance via NMAC, they can charge you higher interest rates. Its a scam, so please be extra careful. Check and double-check any payment you make. Dont assume that NMAC is on your side. Hell, Nationwide is not even on your side, but Ill post that bad experience in another article. So it has been 6 years and 6 months, and the bad credit mark from NMAC should be dropped off at 7 years. I am in the market to buy a new car again, so I called their customer no-service department to see if they would give me a courtesy pass and remove the bad mark that they reported on my credit report. They created a case number, asked me to call back in 48 hours, and turned me down again. I will never buy another Nissan again. Note to the world, you can dispute an item on each of your credit reports (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion); and if NMAC doesnt respond within 30 days, by law, the item must be removed. The only way to teach Nissan and NMAC a lesson is to buy with one of their competitors. Also, if you happen to know someone or have the ability to get a message to Nissan headquarters in Japan, tell them that NMAC doesnt represent the company well. Tell them NMAC doesnt take into consideration your payment history before hurting their loyal customer base. That loyal customer base is certainly thinning out.

Service Department issues-- NEVER AGAIN! My 2008 Rogue showed some weird transmission issues on a trip to Virginia on 4 occasions. After some research we learned about a CVT issue with the Nissan transmissions in these autos. Called our service department to report the issue and they took us right away. They acknowledged the transmission issue and related the steps that should be taken 1) schedule and service the transmission 2) a add-on cooler product 3) new transmission. Nissan, as an aside, has increased the warranty on these transmissions from 60,000 to 120,000 miles, acknowledging the issue.I called Nissans consumer affairs department to report the issue and to see if I was a candidate to replace my transmission. My car is used on long journeys often and this CVT issue only happens when the transmission has heated up because of a long journey - 200-300 miles. Once its cooled down, it corrects itself; however, when it happens, one loses all transmission power and acceleration ability. I also wanted Nissan consumer affairs to understand that we use this vehicle on Rt. 95 and we could be killed if we cannot get our car to accelerate.I spoke with 2 different reps who were empathetic, then my last encounter was with someone very rude. It was then I asked for a manager to call and she did. She was pleasant and understanding. I outlined my concern and she and I agreed that if there were any symptoms of the issue again, I would call her immediately and we would address it then. I was satisfied at this juncture and felt comfortable with our agreement. I then received a customer satisfaction survey from Nissan about my service experience. While the team at Hawthorne Nissans service department was nice and helpful, I didnt give Nissan a good customer satisfaction survey because I wasnt satisfied with my vehicles issue. The survey prompted a call from the service director who was concerned about his service departments score and wanted to do a deeper dive on my vehicle problem. I told him at the present time there werent any issues. He said he wanted to replicate the drive so they could experience the problem by taking my car for the weekend and giving it to the errand person and then having the service manager drive it home which is about an hour from the service center. I advised that this short driving would NEVER replicate the issue.Nevertheless, I was agreed and dropped my car off with the understanding that I would need a loaner vehicle. They hesitated but agreed. I stopped after work and picked up the loaner which had just over a quarter of a tank of gas and was given strict instructions that I must return it with exactly the same amount of gas. Ok. Then as I sat in the drivers seat they said, oh by the way, the passengers side door doesnt work.I took the loaner and parked it in my driveway. It was of no use to me without an operating passenger door. This is when my husband got involved. First thing Monday I called about my car and was told they couldnt find anything which I knew would be the case. I told them Id be in to get it. This was after my husband called and addressed the broken SERVICE department loaner issue with the director who seemed nonplussed about the entire situation. The story gets better because my car tire light was on when I got into my car. Remember the Service manager drove my car and I was appalled that he couldnt put a tire gauge on it and see if it needed air. What kind of service is that? Oh, and I had to throw away the lunch garbage that someone left in my vehicle too. Last, I learned that my car had been sitting in the service department parking lot the entire weekend. We did call back consumer affairs and reported the incident. My husband did re-engage with the service director who basically blew him off with an Oh well. This was after he told him never again would we service our car with Nissan or buy another Nissan vehicle. I pray that this transmission issue doesnt arise again and we arent killed on the highway. Im hoping to be rid of this car before anything else happens.

It started out that my A/C would not work if I was sitting still. We called Nissan service and asked them what it could be. They listed a few different things. And none of them were your transmission could be getting contaminated with radiator fluid. Then on Christmas, our heat stopped working. My father-in-law had my husband check the radiator fluid. It was low so they filled it up. And everything was fine. No one still had any idea what was going wrong. Then in March 2010, I went to pull out into traffic. My car had a hard time switching gears and picking up speed. It just suddenly happened it was driving fine. And then, nope not anymore! Thank the Lord I am one of those drivers who wants the road to be almost clear. Because if not, I would have had a bad accident. So then, I called some people. And at that time, no one still knew what was going on. We have some Nissan techs that are friends. So, I guess Nissan finds out the problem somehow, but they will not help anyone out. Even if you got all your services, this would not have been caught. Nissan needs to man up and fix these cars! I have called National Highway at 888-327-4236 and have made a complaint! I purchased a 2008 Nissan Rogue in March 2009 with only 9700 miles on it. Within 45 days of purchase, the vehicle needed a CVT replacement. Over the years I continued to experience various issues with the vehicle and found myself visiting the dealership every three months or less. The CVT failed again in April 2014. I was covered by the extended warranty (120,000 mile/10 year) with only 118K on the vehicle. Unfortunately, two years and 15K miles later, the CVT installed in 2014 has also failed and the vehicle needs a third replacement. Nissan said the CVT is covered by a one year/12K mile warranty. Despite knowing the part is defective, Nissan is not stepping up to assist with this most recent failure, not even offering a discount on the service or part to help offset the cost of their faulty part. On top of the poor quality of these CVTs, Nissans customer service is a huge failure. Their consumer affairs representatives do not communicate and then completely blow you off once they have decided to deny your request for assistance or coverage on the faulty part (clearly they do not understand part of their jobs as customer service representatives is providing results and sometimes bad news to customer, not just ignoring them). Nissan closed my case without ever speaking to me regarding the final results of the investigation. I have approached the local dealership directly in an effort to receive a quote for this repair and have been waiting two days for a service rep to call me back with the estimate despite follow calls to inquire on the situation. Nissan has failed on both quality and service.

I purchased a 2014 Nissan Versa Note at Gladstone Nissan. Navigation system has never worked right & I spent 5 weeks taking it back & contacting dealership. They never had service handle my complaints but rather had the salesman troubleshoot to no avail. I no longer had the time to drive there & sit & especially since I did not give good survey results on Nissan survey - have been confronted by dealership employees including GM (Why would Nissan share that information that I was promised was anonymous only to be confronted personally & by phone? Nissan failed to honor their word & placed me in harms way. What was the purpose of the surveys - to punish the consumer who answers honesty?). No interest in resolving multitude of problems Ive had with the dealership, including getting my address correct, providing me with promised paperwork, deceptive practices in including other warranties with contract & being uncooperative in cancelling the contracts (see Edmunds.com consumer reviews - this is their standard). Worse yet, there are 2 recalls already - not even a month old. Nissan Consumer Affairs is a big waste of time & patronizing - they claimed they could not consider more actions because I do not have documented return visits for the car (once again, the dealership at fault) & did not return the car for recall campaigns (I did some 3 weeks prior to CA claim) at a different dealership. They have no course of action intended apparently except to not help the customer - who buys a new car which does not work as promised & identifies problem immediately. The other dealership ordered a replacement navigation system, except that they cant get them in because it is too new a car. So how am I to resolve a problem with a new car which Im stuck with when there is no one in the hierarchy of Nissan NA taking responsibility for their cars, dealerships and customer satisfaction promise? Now the ceiling in the car needs repaired. I would not recommend Nissan because they fail to support their guarantee and do nothing to resolve problems with their dealerships & car defects. I have logged some dozen hours in calls to no avail. I have new car payments on a limited income, poor health & a navigation system I purchased to navigate in a new area to get to many medical appointments/tests. Consequences of buying a Nissan: I have a new car that has a navigation screen that has pop-ups that block all visibility of the map & have expended hours lost, on the side of the road trying to clear it, and deteriorating health as a result. I have spent hours trying to contact third party vendors to cancel non-negotiated contracts & updating my mailing address because of incompetence & unethical designs of dealership. It is helpful to share my plight in social media to warn future buyers to steer away from the Nissan Versa Note, Nissan N.A., Gladstone Nissan, so that my experiences are not repeated.

Nissan has a timing chain that requires no maintenance, yet they use a tensioner guide that is not up to par. There is already on lawsuit for similar Nissan cars maybe there should be two. Fontana Nissan quoted me $800-$1900 to replace this $30 part that was made with a poor quality plastic. If it wasnt a quality problem the OEM guide would still be sold instead its a new part and new part number. Ive owned one Nissan Altima before this and currently own a Murano, Cube and Altima in question. $800 - $1900 to replace a $30 part that is poorly designed and no mentions of any maintenance on the part is insane.Does it seriously make sense to have a customers engine removed from the car, have the customer pay $800 - $1900 and not have a car for a week, or take a chance of the guide failing completely, the chain slipping and would destroy the INTERFERENCE engine possibly on the highway for a $30 part that is poorly designed?

Ive had the privilege of driving 3 Nissans because our family owns 3 models: a Sentra, a Vanette and an Exalta. I first learned how to drive using the Vanette. Simply put, its my favorite car brand. Ive also had the chance to drive other car brands, but I just dont get the same feeling as when I drive a Nissan. Ive been driving for 12 years and I hope that when I can finally afford to buy my own car, therell be an awesome Nissan car waiting for me to buy it. BTW - that Nissan Juke advertisement with the typo was genius. Kudos to Nissan for thinking of something brilliant to promote their SUV. Cant wait to see what they have to offer next!

BUYER BEWARE. We set our payments up on auto draft, but it didnt work. We had no idea the payment wasnt being made until it was too late, and now its tanking our credit. We could have paid outright for the car, but financed it for the sole purpose of increasing our credit score. We began getting calls from Nissan shortly prior to the payment being 30 days late, which sounds like they were doing their due diligence, correct? Wrong.Their calling system is antiquated and set up exactly like someone committing identity theft, like the spam calls everyone gets numerous times per day. We had no way of knowing it was a legitimate call because sometimes wed answer and it would automatically disconnect. Wed call back. Sometimes it would answer and automatically disconnect, sometimes an automated system would ask for our FULL social security number (not just the last four of our SSN) before agreeing to connect us to a representative. Considering we thought we were set up on auto draft, therefore thought our payments were being made, and were getting calls from an automated system claiming to be Nissan, at times disconnecting when we answered, at times disconnecting when we called back, and asking us to enter our full social security number when we got through, it all seemed sketchy. It would not be difficult for anyone attempting identity theft to figure out we are making payments to Nissan, call us under the guise of Nissan, and ask for our personal information. Considering the circumstances, we legitimately thought these were spam calls. Furthermore, we received no written communication from Nissan letting us know payments werent being made, and no phone calls from a live representative. Just sketchy automated phone calls, like the numerous ones we get each day that are spam.My husband finally decided to figure out what was going on and called the dealership where we purchased the car. We had an incredible experience with them when we bought the car, which is the reason we bought a Nissan in the first place. The finance manager called the number with my husband to verify whether or not it was spam. Thats when we realized these calls were legitimate, our payments werent set up on auto draft, like we thought, and we had a payment over 30 days late. We explained our situation, brought our payments up to date immediately, even paying extra, and they submitted our account to the legal and credit department for review, to hopefully reverse the negative mark on our credit. Not only did they not reverse it, the customer service supervisor I spoke with when I called to find out the status of the account was incredibly rude and disrespectful. In all my years of talking to customer service representatives, some are fantastic, but she was among the worst. Degrading words, degrading tone of voice. It still astounds me that she spoke to me the way she did.I wish I would have read all of the negative reviews regarding Nissan Finance before we financed our vehicle. Like I stated before, we could have paid cash for it, but decided to finance it for the sole purpose increasing our credit score. At the very least we would have financed it through our own bank, it was just easier the day we purchased the car to go ahead and finance through Nissan. BIG MISTAKE! We aren’t done fighting this. If there is a resolution other than our current situation I will update this review. I’m not looking forward to the hours we are going to have to put in to correct a situation that wouldn’t exist if Nissan Finance operated like a company that legitimately cared about its customers, like Honda, Toyota, etc. etc. Again, BUYER BEWARE! If you finance through Nissan, get ready for a rough ride. Keep track of your auto drafts – DO NOT trust that the system will do what it’s supposed to do. And if you happen to have an issue to work out be prepared to be talked to very disrespectfully.

I have a 2009 Nissan Altima. The car will not go. I almost got hit twice. I took the car to Nissan and had a diagnostic test done for 120.00 dollars for them to tell me there is nothing wrong with my car but when I took it to Kia they did one... They came up with the step motor (778) code. I took it back to Nissan and they said they never heard of that code. They reset my car and drove it, and they said it was fine, but when I drove my car home, check engine light came back on and once again got stuck on a hill. The car would not go and almost got hit again.Nissan does not want to fix this problem or recall this vehicle that they said cant fix if they cant find the problem. Im writing this review to inform others of this problem and to put on record Im getting an attorney to file a class action lawsuit, and to let Nissan know when I end up in a accident and hurt or dead they will have a big lawsuit on their hands. Its going to take for someone to die for Nissan to recall these vehicles and that is sad. I will never buy another Nissan vehicle. I will keep everyone informed on what an attorney has to say so you can get in on this lawsuit. Nissan dont want to take care of this problem. I will.

Dont Buy A Nissan Vehicle From My Local Dealership. I will only provide one
Dont Buy A Nissan Vehicle From My Local Dealership. I will only provide one star as there is no Zero that I can provide as a rating. Purchased three Nissan Vehicles from our local dealership. 1st was a 2012 Frontier (SL). Fully certified with less than 6,000 miles in 2015. The following issue came to light AFTER I purchased the truck. Both front and rear bumpers had to be replaced due to damage from the sale person who we found out drove the truck to pull his boat. He off set the bumpers and caused the braces to be pulled down causing the bumpers to pull away from the frame. The brakes were replaced twice at a cost of $680 each time. The initial brake repair was not proper repaired as the dealership used third party parts. Actually told me that and then claim they were Nissan parts - but had faults. Cost me two brake jobs and complete bumper replacements and the story is just starting. When I felt unsafe in the vehicle I was going to sell it back to Nissan. That is when the adjuster informed me that the right side fender has been damaged and repaired. Also the front glass had been replace incorrectly. None of this was on the CARFAX, nor reported to me at the time of sale. Now my wife has a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The vehicle has portions of the front bumper pulling away from the body. The dealership informed me that my wife must have hit a parking block and dragged the frame over the block which has caused damage to the underside of the car. My wife may drive her car less than 3000 a year and SHE did it. No I think when they were preparing the car was sell they hit the lifting rack and caused the damage. The foot lift door doesnt work. No problem the dealership will tell you as they really never work correctly. NICE!I have a 2015 Frontier from the same dealership. I just purchased the vehicle less than one month ago as I need to have a truck. Stupid me - thinking that everything would go well. Fooled me again! Yesterday the truck would not start leaving me well out of my local area. When we tried to replace the battery I found that wires and the battery were so corroded that it needed to replace the wiring and the battery. That was a great cost of funds. What does the 100 point inspect include? So I have been a fool for the third times. This is my fault. But I want everyone to know that you need to find a solid dealership that respect you and values your business.

I have referred 7 buyers in the last year and a half to the same salesman his name is Aziz. I have spoken to him many times and each time I am told the checks will be coming. They have not, not one. Leased new Infiniti QX70 in 2017. Never missed a payment, or late. Reported as 30-day late to credit bureau 2 months before lease ended because the local sales tax had changed from 6% to 7%, and even though I made the payment, I was $5.38 short. Never knew the rate changed! I am paperless, and make automatic payments. Why would I imagine that my payment would change when I entered into a contract for a specified amount for 36 months? I have leased/owned 4 Infiniti vehicles (QX4, G35, EX35, and QX70) for more than 25 years, and only now have I ever had any issues. Their answer: TOO BAD. My response: Never will I lease/buy another Nissan or Infiniti. And will steer any I know away.

I bought my 2000 Nissan Maxima new and just after the three-year mark and at about 27,000 miles I got an SES light. I took it to the dealer and they told me all 6 ignition coils needed to be replaced. I was in shock. How can all 6 be bad on a car with only 27,000 miles. I asked if there was a recall or if the parts were defective. All they said was to call Corporate Nissan! When I did I got blown off. They said since my car was past the warranty period they were not responsible for anything. I was out of luck. I said maybe they could make an exception because this was not something that normally happens. They would not budge. I was stuck and what made me really angry was that these parts had to be ordered through the dealer and they were on back order. I tried AutoZone and online but no luck. The parts took about 5 weeks to come in since there was a shortage of these parts. This was very common for this year and model car. I had to rent a car for this period and ended up spending a total of $1600 including the rental car. This was a nightmare I will never forget. A very good example of very poor customer service. Leave your customer stuck and say we cant do anything for because we do not have to. Excellent way to make your customer say I will never buy another Nissan product again. I actually had to call the customer rep because she did not return my call. I left her a message saying thanks for nothing and calling me back like you said you would. It was not her fault but she could have returned my car with courtesy and respect even though there was nothing Nissan would do for me. I really felt that there should have been a recall but they took the cheap way out. Better to lose a few customers than to shell out bucks to help customers with a manufacturer defect. The sad part is that after all that I went through, I still have this car today. It has 172,600 miles and is still running good. Still will not buy another Nissan because of this bad experience. I had to replace 3 O2 sensors, MAF sensor, radiator, alternator, starter, thermostat, front axle, dimmer switch, front struts.

I have a 39month lease on a Rogue - 4 months before lease end, I had to replace all 4 tires. So I did, at a cost of over $600 from the dealer. And whoever drove the car in/out of the service area put a big scratch on the back corner bumper. I had the lease inspection a few weeks prior to turn-in date and it was noted that the tires were mismatched (they put on H speed rated tires instead of S speed rated) and that I would be charged $628 for new ones plus another $100 to fix the scratch. I called the dealer since they were the ones who put the new tires on (and the scratch). They replaced the four tires with the right speed rating and fixed the scratch. I was assured that everything was taken care of and all I would owe was the disposition fee at that time. And when I turned it in, I was assured again that everything was taken care of. I always serviced the vehicle on time, kept it super clean and even turned it in 7,000 miles under the allotted amount. I got a bill today from NMAC for $1,198.80 for new tires and the scratch, plus the disposition fee. Of course, there is no contact phone number or email on the bill (I did find a number to call via searching the internet). I have contacted my dealer first and can only hope they will help resolve this for me. I am physically sick to my stomach and will never, never, ever lease again (especially from Nissan)!

We purchased a luxury vehicle through NMAC for the past year and they are terrible. I have been paying the same price for 2 years with no drop in payment. When I asked about it they fixed it. The next month I was late with a payment and it went back to the previous price with no explanation. I spoke with a so called supervisor, to which I was told it went back to that price because I miss a payment. That makes no sense. They have held my payment and also lost my payments and also applied my payment to someone elses account. We recently moved and needed them to send the title to the new state so we could register our car. Problem this was after calling her every few days to see where it was. This left us with an unregistered vehicle for 10 days. I called back and then I was told that they will not send the copy of the title until the payment is made. They should have said this from the start when I contacted them, 10 days ago. Was told that all the fax machine in the company were down after I wanted to speak to a manager about the rep lying about the fax. But I had my friend at the dealer send a fax and they received it. In summary--THEY HAVE LOST EVERYTHING I HAVE SENT THEM, and it is apparently not their problem. After changing my address with them 4 times over the phone it was never updated, until 2 months later. Now Im still waiting after another 6 weeks and speaking with 13 different people for the title to be sent. Will never ever deal with this company again!!

My daughter decided to replace her Ford Fiesta 2010 which she had many problems with the dual clutch. She bought a new Nissan Juke 2017 at 417 Nissan (Ottawa, Ontario) thinking there wont be issues, its new right? The car had maybe 25 km on it when she left the dealer, drove for 10 km and service engine came up (just left the dealer). She went back to the dealer, it took 1 week for them to figure out that it was a manufactured pin that was not pushed completely down. She picked up her car, approx. 1.5 months after, she broke down again, got towed. Now they said it was the wiring harness that needed to be replaced, it took forever to get the part (4 wks). It got replaced and fixed, drove it again for not even 1 month. This time it was worse. She thought the car was going to explode, RPM going crazy and could hardly go forward, service engine everything was lighting up in the dash, she got towed the 3rd time. My daughter is only 18 years old, making her bi-weekly payments and working 4 jobs. Now Nissan Finance have no problem digging in her account to withdrawal the payment when she has been asking since the 2nd break down to replace it with another Juke. Nissan (head office) wont even return our calls, they are not professional at all. Now the car is in the garage, lord knows what is the issue but service is terrible, not keeping us up to date and Nissan (head office) senior person is supposed to call us back within 24 hrs, still nothing. This is not acceptable.

I own a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder LE& a 2009 Sentra FE both with transmission issues, the Pathfinder was not a part of a recall with the radiator that did the transmission cooling as well as engine cooling. Radiator developed a crack between the coolant and ATF CHAMBER AND THE FLUIDS MIXED, my car was running perfectly until this happened, then the transmission started to slip. When I went to Nissan they said my vehicle vin was not apart of the recall so I would not receive a warranty extension/replacement or reimbursement to the tune of $6,000 + if I repaired it myself. I spent over $36,000 on the purchase of the SUV brand new 0 miles except for the few I put on it in a test drive. Needless to say this is not an isolated issue, the web is full of complaints like this with Nissans faulty radiator. Now my poor car just sits, I still maintain her, changing the oil, air in tires starting her, wash her, I paid off the car so its just a waste. Then comes 2009. I still have confidence in Nissan even though they screwed me and 4 of my other extended family members with the same issue with their Frontier, Xterra, Armada, and Quests. We have always been a Datsun, Nissan loyalist but after my current issue with a 2009 Sentra with a CVT transmission issue. Im over Nissan and so are my family members. We have as a family given Nissan close to half a million dollars in vehicles that cant even last 10 years. We are all switching to Honda/ Toyota/Subaru, from now on, shame, I was looking at the gtr too. Nissan can take their failed business and product and shove it. Im tired of Japanese companies adopting failed American business practices, no loyalty to the customer/consumer anymore after they have our money. Everytime I see a Nissan I warn the driver of the radiator issue. I have found with one random person I was able to see the oil mixing already when he checked his radiator reservoir with me there because he was confident I was crazy, when he saw his radiator reservoir had oil he thanked me and said he was going to the dealership to get the radiator replaced before its too late. I felt accomplished but pissed because had I known I would have had the radiator replaced, recall or not, if your radiator does your atf cooling I recommend getting an external separate ATF cooler regardless if its an issue or not. I have recently purchased a Subaru and looking to purchase a Honda this weekend, Subaru understood my issue and offered to put in a separate atf cooler with the purchase. I will be asking Honda to do the same. Per Subaru, most manufactures are going that route by having a combined radiator. But I will no longer go this route with any other future purchases, Ill have them separate the cooling or not purchase.

Been taking my Nissan 07 Pathfinder with 47,000 miles to the dealership for maintenance since I leased then bought it. Over two to three years Ive been reporting a sound coming from the car as I accelerated up to 25 then again at 40 mph. This problem was never resolved because it came and went and it almost never surfaced when I would bring the car in for maintenance. They would tell me its the heat shields and tighten them but the noise would return. I had scheduled a 45,000 mile maintenance and on the way to the dealership my engine began to rumble then the service engine light came on where. I was told by the adviser that a coil and a platinum spark plug needed to be replaced to fix the engine misfire. I was given a loaner and they worked on my car for two days. I got my car back and everything seemed fine, the engine light was off, car was smooth. A little more than a week later after I dropped off my wife at work, the engine started to act up and rumble and engine light came on again. I was not far from the dealership so I decided take it in. All of a sudden, halfway to the dealership, I cannot drive past 25 mph and the car starts to make the noise its been making when I accelerated to 25 and 40 mph, the same noise Ive been complaining about for about 3 yrs and now its amplified. I told the service adviser about the incident and told it could possibly be the catalytic converter which is covered under warranty until 2015 by federal emissions law so it would be no cost to me to be replaced. I needed to go to work so again I was given a loaner and the job took two days. I received a call from Nissan and was told that the catalytic was very clogged and parts broke off damaging the engine and it was going to cost $6,600 or more to rebuild or replace the engine. My warranty inconveniently expired three months ago. How can this happen to a car with low miles and with an excellent maintenance record? Shouldnt Nissan be responsible?

I bought the car on January 20, 2013 from Woodland Hill Nissan. I asked the sales person and said I wanted one color and black interior. He said, “Ok, we have.” Then I said ok. After all the paper work was done, he then said, “Actually, we have silver.” At that time, we have been waiting more than 6 hours so I was tired and my kids were hungry. I just needed to get out of there so I don’t’ want to say anything .One week after I got the car, the car started giving me problems while Im driving the car shaking so I called them. They told me to bring the car in - I did that. Three weeks later, the same thing happened so I called 1-800 Nissan1. They asked me what happened, and I told them everything. Then the lady spoke to the service manager, and he told her to tell me to take the car in, and I did that. Two days after I picked up my car, the same problem occurred so I called 1-800Nissan1 again and they said there is nothing they can do because they cant find what’s wrong with the car. I was so mad. How can they just say that? Then 2 or 3 weeks later, I got an email from the service manager and he told me that they found out whats wrong with the car. I made an appointment to take the car for a fix again (3 times already). Then after that, the car got worse and I emailed the manager, but until today, no answer. I have been trying for six months to remove my ex-husbands name from the title of my car, on which I still owe a small sum of money. I have literally spoken to a dozen Nissan reps who have strung me along this entire time - with no solution in sight. They are clearly lying to me at every turn, and I get the strong impression that they are urged to lie when you call about this. I have heard everything from, Your paperwork fell through the cracks and well have this resolved within a week (that was in January), to You need to resubmit your notarized forms (that was in April) - never mind that I already sent it certified mail. I have even asked the motor vehicle commission in my state to call them. Even they cant get a straight answer. My lawyer warned me that they would give me the runaround, since they do not want to remove a second party from a title, in case I default on the loan.I have literally shed tears with some of these people - after trying for months to resolve this. I am battling Stage IV cancer and am begging them to remove his name from the title so that he doesnt end up with the car. Theyve promised to call me back immediately (hasnt happened), transfer me to a supervisor (hasnt happened), process my request immediately (hasnt happened). Im now entering my sixth month with no resolution. Ive told them repeatedly that I could be dead before they get their head out of their behinds and resolve this. While I love the two Nissans I own, I will never finance with them again, and I will let everyone know that they shouldnt either! Had my car a year (Altima 2016 used) and it’s out of warranty. When purchasing the car I asked for an extended warranty and the finance manager declined me stating that I was not in a position to receive the extended warranty that I was lucky that I was even approved for the car. I had to beg for GAP and he made me pay for my GAP cash upfront $500. Also when I called my finance company to see if they had additional options they stated that those instruction about extended warranty was not true that they would have went through another company not them. At that point I did not understand why the finance manager had me lie to the finance company about the type of car I was receiving if I would not be covered. Basically I was taken advantage of and it worked on their end because now I am screwed out of a car unless I come up with the funds to fix the issue. Nissan said it’s nothing they can do, You have to buy a $3500 transmission. I do not know much about repair to cars but my car is calling for a sensor and Im not sure why my sensors cannot be replaced vs the entire transmission!Call Consumer Affairs and they had an attitude. 2013 Nissan Rogue CVT transmission, The vehicle loses power due to transmission overheating. Going at a rate of speed over 60 MPH on the interstate in heavy traffic and completely losing power is very dangerous. I have contacted Nissan consumer affairs with this complaint and after a review they are willing to cover 50% of the cost to place a cooler in the transmission. I did purchase the extended warranty for this vehicle but because this is not an original part the warranty will not cover the cooler. Nissan has had many many complaints with this same issue but still only willing to cover half the cost to repair. If Nissan requires this additional part on the vehicle in order for the valve cover to be replaced because of the overheating, then they should cover 100% of the cost!!! I am very dissatisfied with this vehicle and Nissan. This is a very dangerous problem with the vehicle. Its a problem Nissan should fix especially with all the complaints they are getting with this particular CVT transmission. I am very shocked and disappointed with Nissan for not fixing this problem.

I bought a 2008 Nissan Rogue brand new on Christmas Eve of 2007. The transmission went out on the car in July of 2010, at 100,000. I was almost hit and killed by an 18-wheeler. Nissan claims the transmission fell apart and after several months, said they would replace it at no cost. In February of 2012, my Rogue began to show the same signs of failure that the first one did and I took it to the dealership once again to have it inspected. Approximately 8 days later, the service department informed me that the transmission would in fact need to be replaced again with only 66,000 miles on it. I phoned Consumer Affairs and they have been no help! I have written Mr. Carlos Ghosn a certified letter and he has been no help! We had bought two Muranos from the same Nissan dealership without any problem. In 2010, I needed a smaller vehicle for my increased commute so we bought a Rogue. Transmission failed at 78K; replacement failed after another 46K miles. They will not cover this 2nd failed transmission. Their office of consumer affairs was unprofessional and dismissive. And we HAD been in the Nissan family for over 10+ years! Completely unprepared for this experience, as we thought Nissan would most definitely care and would most definitely replace this clearly defective AND DANGEROUS faulty transmission. How wrong we were! We no longer have any accolades to give this company, and will deter family and friends from buying from this dishonest company. The transmission is dangerous as gears would slip on the highway, stall at intersections, and decelerate when trying to merge into traffic. And they KNOW this transmission is defective. Weve never had such a scary driving experience on the road as well as such an outrageous experience with a customer service HA! department anywhere else. We are done with them unless they replace this transmission with no cost to us!

I have a leaking sending unit on my 2015 Nissan Sentra. I opened a case report with Nissan Corporation 2 weeks ago, Sept 1, but have not received a call back from Nissan during normal business hours despite 6 calls Ive made to the Nissan Customer Representative over the past 2 weeks. Nissan has a recall for the same problem -- on the 2015 Altima and 2015 Maxima -- an improperly installed ring on the sending unit, resulting in leaking fuel. I cannot get any assistance from Nissan as of today, August 12.Additionally Nissan sent me a letter earlier this year (the letter of course is not dated but I received it this past spring 2019) advising that I might have a complete blockage..in the EVAP tube located between the fuel tank and the evaporative emission canister. While this is different from the problem of the leaking sending unit, it illustrates that Nissan clearly has multiple problems with defective fuel pump assembly parts and/or improperly installed fuel pump assembly parts.

I was involved in a serious accident which totaled my 2017 Murano (not my fault). I was injured, however, I notified the insurance company and GAP immediately. The insurance company totaled the Murano (which I knew they would). I notified Nissan financial within a few days and shut off auto pay. Within a few weeks I had to replace my car (went with Subaru this time, its much safer). Nissan received the check from the insurance company for $21000 about 3 weeks after the accident, Nissan is filing the GAP claim. However, Since they have not received the GAP payment within 30 days after I stopped payments on the Murano, Nissan finance hit my credit for late payment (even though they received $21000 from my insurance company before the 30 days late).Since I needed to replace Murano and I knew insurance and GAP would pay it off. Nissan does not care about circumstances (injured, needed a new car, etc...). They will not wait for the GAP payment. I made every payment on time until the accident happened. Nissan ruined my credit. Im still under Drs care and have not been cleared to go back to work, but Nissan does not care. All they have to do is put the late payment on the back end of the loan, but they wont do that. Shame on you Nissan, ethics are not your strong point.

I purchased a 2015 Nissan Rogue in January. This summer when I traveled a period of time (about 45 mins.) the a/c would stop cooling. After having it checked by my dealer/service I was told thats normal since it is how the car gets better mpg. The only way I can keep cool on long drives is to turn off the a/c when it stops cooling, wait a period of time and let the a/c reset then turn the a/c back on. This in my opinion is a very poor design and should be redesigned.

This is the beginning of my campaign against Nissan. They build crap cars and dont stand by their product. Do not buy a Nissan. You will regret it. There are ridiculous problems that you would not expect from a car built in the 21st century. They are common across the board. The door handles come off simply by opening the door. Water pools in the driver side floorboard. The airbags will go off for no reason. The airbags are the only thing theyll fix because they know its a liability.

I have a Service Contract with Nissan and is a joke. At 15,000 miles I was told that Regular routine issues like replacing an air filter was not covered. I was at Nissan for an oil change and after they were finished the Service Department presented me with a $300 bill. Air Filter, Brake Fluid; minor items. Then the Tires which is really the reason why I am writing. NISSAN ROTATED MY TIRES AND NEVER PERFORMED AN ALIGNMENT!!! I have spoken to at least 3 experts that informed me the tires were worn from the inside out. How CRAZY is this!!! I had to replace my tires for $700 just recently and have the bill now to submit the highest person that runs NISSAN. I want to be compensated for a pro-rate on my tires. I will pursue this matter with Nissan until I cant talk anymore. Literally! The sad part is that I am disabled and putting 2 sons through College so they get a decent chance in life to chase their dreams. I cannot afford these tires. Another sad issue is my Parents always owned American made Cars and I talked them into buying a Nissan Rogue and then a Sentra. How Sad! I want help with compensation on my tires. I have all the documentation.

I have been very disappointed with Nissan and Bob Richards Nissan. My airbag light came on (not flashing). I was told that I had a sensor in the seat of the passenger that had gone bad. I was told that you could not replace the sensor only, but that you had to replace the whole seat to the tune of $4,300. My car doesnt even have electronic adjustments on the seat. After much discussion with Bob Richards Nissan and North Augusta, South Carolina and with consumer affairs for Nissan, I was told that I was out of warranty and that my extended warranty did not cover this. I am shocked that Nissan would not stand behind a safety feature on my car.I was told that my car had 90,000 miles on it, actually it has 99,090 miles on it and it was out of manufacture warranty. When I pick the car up I brought to their attention that my airbag light was not on anymore. I asked them did they disconnect something to cause the lights to go off and they said no that they could not do that. I told them that my light was not on anymore. One of the service guys said to the other one cant we just turn it back on. The other service guy said no we cannot do that. The technician who has been working on the car had reset the light and now it is off. I have driven about 60 miles and so far the light has not came back on. So, do I have a problem or not? What if I had given them $4,300 and did not even need to be fixed. The service guy wrote on my paperwork that he knew that the light has gone off and that the repairs still needed to be done. Well does it? I am very disappointed that Nissan or Bob Richards Nissan would not stand behind the safety feature on my car. I asked the service guy how many times something had to go bad on cars in order to have a recall on a feature, especially a safety feature. He said he did not know. I will never buy a Nissan again. I drove a Toyota Camry prior to this car and it had two hundred and eighty nine thousand miles on it in order to have a recall on a feature, especially a safety feature. He said he did not know. I will never buy Nissan again. I drove a Toyota Camry prior to this car and it had 289000 miles on it when I gave it to someone else and it is still on the road today. Next time I will buy Toyota, but not from Bob Richards Toyota. Again, I am disappointed and disgusted that a seat would cost $4,300.

Hey guys. This review is to let the world know out there of how unfair Nissan company is. I have been a loyal customer of Nissan for more than 6 years now. I own a Nissan Rogue 2012 with no more than 30k miles on it. My transmission happened to fail 2 weeks ago and the Nissan dealership wants to charge me $4400 to replace the transmission. They WILL NOT COVERED this knowing that I still have my original warranty on transmission work. DEALER says transmission got hit by something and that is why is not cover. We did not hit anything at car broke that while driving in highway. Really unfair, unacceptable. Ill not recommend NISSAN to anyone. They are thieves..

I am so shocked as suddenly at the end of my term of financing with Nissan financing when I called them as a payment of 375.00 had not been taken from my account at christmas. I have had the lease/financing with them for over four years now. Then they suddenly mentioned in passing that I had maybe 7 or 8 NSF FEES on a past due account!! I said that I had never heard of this before and if so why had someone not/never contacted me by phone, email or letter to inform me of this. I have had no knowledge of this. Why did they not contact me prior. This is not reflected in my bank statements or monthly online statements. If it is a bank error I still require some proof or a letter or statement from them they will not give it. I have always received my mail from them before!! Now all I get is calls and threats form them BUT as I have asked repeatedly for a statement of bill or something on paper regards this. They say they sent it. I have received nothing and how can I pay fees. I have never been informed of fees, not missed payments. I have no missed payment except for the one they did not take out at christmas. I have written them and sent an express mail to them requesting the letter and Proof. I mean they could make up anything they want. I am really feeling pressured to pay as they mentioned they can come after my vehicle but I am not sure how to proceed. Can you please please advise me on this matter.

I bought my Titan new and had the usual rotor problem and the rear axle end seals blowing out. Nissan fixes the rotor issue without problems. The axle end seal happened at 76,000 miles, just 1,000 miles out of warranty but after many complaints to corporate, they agreed to pay half. This fix lasted about 4,000 miles, Instead of repeating the repair, I chose to use a thicker viscosity rear end lube from Lucas. I also had to replace the radiator but that is common on all vehicles now that radiators are plastic. If you’re wondering why I give this truck 4 stars, I almost gave it 5 stars, this truck had 355,000 miles on it when I traded it in 2013. Those issues listed above are the only problems I had with this truck and it still ran like a new truck when I traded. The engine and transmission were beasts. I attribute the performance of this Titan to changing my oil every 20 to 25,000 miles with Amsoil and Ea filters. I would have bought another Titan at trade but needed better mpg. Traded for a Ram 1500 4wd and it now has 270,000 using Amsoil.

After making arrangements with Nissan to make to make a payment, I repeatedly get calls. Ill even explain that Ive made an arrangement and need to release the line to answer my phone at work. The caller would have me in tears before releasing the line or I just simply hang up. I will have told them that Im at work and need to leave the call. Its very embarrassing to have my own customers overhear my conversation!! Its very emotionally draining to try to perform your duties at work, in order to make your payment, and have Nissan repeatedly ask questions that you may not want to answer in front of your own customers. And if Im working with a customer, theyll call my work phone and ask for my co-worker, which is my friend/cosigner. She is tired of the calls as well. I know my payment need to be made. And they cant be rebuilt, you have to buy a new one directly from Nissan... $4,100 later my air conditioner goes out the next week. Luckily, someone ran into us and totaled the vehicle before I had to spend the $300 to fix this. Stay away from any vehicle that has a CVT!!!

So if you can see, they have a transmission problem and are only replacing if it sets off a code! So the shudder is a normal feature they should advertise in their commercials. I recently purchased a 2011 Nissan Rogue, on August 26th at Concordville Nissan in Pennsylvania. At first, it seemed as though I purchased a very good vehicle. It was a certified car, the mileage was reasonable, it had only one owner and it looked great. This praise quickly turned into a nightmare. During the test drive the passenger side windshield was covered by the cars feature list and certified sticker, covering the small crack I noticed the next day. I called Concordville and informed my salesman (Pat) about the crack and he told me to bring it in to be fixed. I wasnt able to do that then because I was going away to New York and then to Baltimore. On both of my trips I noticed the front wheels were swaying slightly, gliding to the left or to the right. On my return, I immediately contacted the service department (Sept. 11) about this new concern. After the car was inspected (Sept. 14), the Service Advisor (Darren **) informed me that there is a crack in the right side axle. WOW! I tried to shun the idea of what could have happen if the axle would have broken with my family and me driving that car while on vacation. Even though, the problem was fixed the same day, I am now worried about what new problem will arise. I no longer enjoy driving this car in fear of what other unknown defect will surface. On the same day the car was being repaired, I spoke with the Sales Manager (Ryan **) about my issues, explaining the entire situation. He seemed concerned about my frustration and even said he would confer with the Service Manager (Mark) about getting me into a different car. After, I asked if that was an option. No promise was guaranteed. As I returned to pick up the Rogue I requested to speak with Ryan **, he was unavailable, but Ryan ** was. So, I explained to situation again and again talking about getting a different car. He said he would look into it. This was around 3:30 pm. After waiting around for about two hours a salesman name Mark approached me and asked if I was being helped. I told him I was waiting on Ryan **. Mark went to the counter where Ryan ** was, talked to him a little and came back over and said who is helping you again? Then Pat, the salesman who sold me the car came over and asked me was my car still being repaired? No, I replied. Now getting angry because, not only was I forgotten about, no one seemed to know what Im talking about. I explained my situation once again. After 3 hours I was finally called over to the counter where now both Ryans are. Theyre telling me that: (1.) the axle wasnt cracked. The problem was with the ball bearings, but I have an invoice explaining the issue was the right front drive shaft. (2.) I can get into another certified car, a 2012 Morano that is going to cost me $645 a month with a $4000 down payment. I left the dealership very confused and upset. I just want to express how disappointed and frustrated I am with this whole process, from the issues with the car to the poor customer service. Now I see why they wouldnt show me any other car. I will never purchase another nor, will I recommend any of my family, friends or co-workers to purchase a Nissan Certified Car. I am also filing a consumer complaint with the Attorney General office in my state.

I purchased a car from Nissan for my son so that he could get to school safely. We test drove the car together (fully loaded with GPS sirius XM). After we completed the details of the car purchase, my son got the car and drove off. I made the fatal mistake of trusting the salesman. I did not realize the mistake until I asked to borrow my sons car. BLUF, I contacted, Nissan the internet manager called, recorded our conversation and she kept pausing in 5 min intervals as if she were thinking of how to find words to tell me I had the right car. She asked if I came in on the 16K special, I said no, I thought I was getting the car that had sirius XM and GPS. So then she tells me my salesman was out of the country and then she said another far fetch explanation. I contacted Nissan Corp and was assigned a case # so Heidi calls me every 3 days while I am at work or when she is about to leave for the day to check the block to ask if the manager of Bowie Nissan has contacted me. I returned her call and left a message asking to receive an email and she said she is unable to write an email. I was very specific in a detail letter and she leaves a message to say to call her if I have concerns. I will never refer my friends to Bowie Nissan and yes I have many friends who are in need a car including my daughter. I will refer then to Acura, Acura does not rip off its customers. The financial advisor lied initially to me about qualifying for a higher loan and I have excellent credit. The bank gave me a much better loan than Nissan tried to offer for less years. I have seen cars that are clearly marked Altima 2.5S. The paperwork noting what is attached to the vehicle also coincides to read Altima 2.5S. My sons car says ALTIMA S and his paperwork says ALTIMA 2.5S. The fair thing for Nissan to do would be to add the features that we paid for. We have paperwork that clearly says 2.5S

Bought my 2013 Nissan Sentra Sr used with over 60k car in Dec 2015, long story short my car is suffering from transmission failure, the rpms will shoot up high and drop down low, my car will then start to stall and not want to go any fast than 10 mph!!! I had to get a tow truck to tow my car back to my house and even then the driver told me that I’m better off buying a new car. I’m so upset, as to I owe 10k on it still and am looking at a 5k bill fixing it! I tried trading in the car to find out my cars value is only 3k!!! Ive bought Nissan Almera (Nissan Teana, name in Thailand) on Dec. 2013 and feel some vibration during the ride in the third week. Id contacted with the dealer to tell the problem Ive found. I made an appointment to check whats wrong with my car. After checking, they tell me that my car is normal. After that Ive found jerky in the second month. After consulting with the technicians from Jatco, they indicated theres a problem from the gear and propose to change the gear for me.I hardly accept this. I bought a new car; like any customers, I hopefully find the normal car, at least; no problem, anxiety-free, safety indeed, no need to fix or change the primary compartment of the car (in my opinion, gear is the significant compartment of the car) in a short time. During the arguments, Ive found some ignorance and worst of all, the representative gave a lie to me!! I wrote the letter to Nissan Japan and Nissan Motor Thailand but it didnt help. Nissan Japan said that Nissan Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has complete authority over Nissans product and service in Thailand. Now that the lemon law in Thailand is not strong enough, all I can do is to tell anyone in Thailand, and also in another country about the problem. By now there are customers in Thailand facing the same problem. Finally, I will not recommend NISSAN to anyone in Thailand or anywhere.

Updated on 04/05/2019: I bought my Nissan Juke Shoro in the UK 2012 brand new. I live in Spain and had it shipped out to me. it never was a fast car but that was ok with me as I cruel around town anyway. A friend drove my car in 2016, it was the first time I had allowed anyone to drive her. He said it didnt seem to have any power and as there was a slight noise from the engine, took it to Nissan Dealers. I was told the gearbox had broken and it needed to be replaced, €10,000!!! I was out of warranty by age but was within milage. I had to fight with Nissan Spain for 5 weeks. They agreed to replace the CVT and I was to pay €1,000 to have it fitted, I was pretty annoyed but paid. Less than 2 years later the same thing, CVT gearbox had gone again. That was in Oct 2018, Nissan refuse to admitted that the car as a fault and now want me to pay €4,000 for a recondition CVT. Its now April 2019 and I have heard nothing. I ended up buying a little Opel for €5,000 with very little mileage. Nissan can keep the car, I wouldnt want it back now anyway. The service I had with Nissan every year was a waste of money. I am very very disappointed with Nissan and would never buy a car from then again.Original Review: I bought my new Nissan Juke Shiro Limited in 2012 and had it shipped to Spain. In 2016 after a friend had driven it, they brought to my attention that it had no power! Nada! To be honest I had always felt a bit un-at-ease when driving my Juke and felt I didn’t have much control on the speed but never through much if it. Especially as I had always serviced my car at a Nissan dealership approved garage and always got conned into paying premium instead of a standard service. So took my Juke to Nissan dealership and I am told the gearbox had broken, a new one would cost €10,000 including fitting! I was just 3 months out of my 3 year warranty but luckily within the mileage. So after 5 weeks of talk and waiting for decisions, Nissan Europe decided to replace the gearbox and I agreed to the €1,000 cost to fit it. It only had 1 year warranty but surely I wouldn’t need another new gearbox. 2 years later, 3 months after the premium service at Nissan... A friend drove my car and said the same as my last friend who had driven it in 2016!! No power! I took it back to Nissan garage, only to be told the gearbox was broken, again. Metal getting into the oil because 2 disks are grinding together in the gearbox... 2 months later, several phone calls, emails and messages. Nissan will only offer a 35% discount on a recondition gearbox €3,998! I can’t see how a faulty car manufactured and badly made by Nissan can be my fault. It cost me over £18,000 new.I am now out of pocket by €1,500 on rental cars and Nissan just don’t give a damn. I was never offered a courtesy car this time or back in 2016. This whole situation has had me sick with worry and not even having €3,998 to pay for the reconditioned gearbox that Nissan have offered! So I can having to pay another month of car hire cost, I am totally lost as to what to do. The head office in Barcelona that have also dealt with my case have been totally unprofessional and unresponsive to my phone calls and my emails. Needless to say, I would never buy another Nissan again???

First of all, thank you for your time in reading my complaint. I am contacting you for help with my 2010 Nissan Sentra. I have been denied coverage on my car with my Nissan Extended Gold Preferred Plus Warranty, and I tried to appeal it through Nissan Consumer Affairs as well. I have exhausted all measures in getting my car repaired through Empire Nissan Lakewood. My Piston Rod went through the Block of my Engine on 6th Avenue. I had the oil changed on 1/17/2017, but that was not the cause to my Engine to blow. Shell Rapid Lube Oil keeps records of all service by Camera and has reviewed the complete service by tape on my car. They are willing to provide that information to legal counsel. My car was purchased on March of 2010. At that time, we purchased a Nissan Extended Gold Preferred Plus Warranty which is good until March 2017 of this year. My maintenance records for 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 were completed at Go Nissan Southwest which is now Larry Miller Nissan in Littleton, Colorado. 12/21/2014 I have records from Firestone that I had an oil change, new tires, and a battery purchase. Mileage on the car at that time was 27,089. 2/20/2015 I have records of all the service I had done at Empire Lakewood Nissan. I would like to point out at that time on page 3 it states I had a possible oil leak, and they resealed the oil pan under my Security Plus Warranty. On page 4 they stated I needed another oil change which is a requirement when repairing an oil pan, but failed to list they did the oil change and stated I declined it. They are stating it is an error they did not list it on my paperwork, and can’t tell me if the used my old oil since it was just changed 12/21/2014, or if they put in new oil. Clearly, a problem they will not address. Mileage on the car at that time was 27,949. Why would I decline an oil change? It should be procedure to change the oil be changes when you repair a leak in an oil pan. What oil did they use? How did they make this repair without completing an oil change? 1/17/2017 My record of oil change at Shell Rapid Lube. Mileage at that time 31,740. As you can see I have kept up with the maintenance on this car since purchase. I am self-employed, and work from and this is why the mileage is slow low on this car. Example: From 12/21/2014-2/20/2015 I put 860 miles on my car. From 2/20/2015-1/17/2017 I put 3,790 miles on my car. I have 2 tow bills which Nissan will not pay for, and I have been declined a rental car which both are included in my Extended Nissan Extended Plus Warranty. Since the purchase of my car in March of 2010 to date, and put an average of $4,535 miles on my car per year. Again, I have all records of maintenance, and oil changes for this car. I have filed complaints with the BBB of TN, BBB of Colorado, Nissan Consumer Affairs, and the Federal Trade Commission. My response from Nissan Extended Warranty Gold preferred is that they will not cover the rebuild of my Engine due to an after market oil change. Nissan is irresponsible, and dishonest. They do not back their cars, and sell warranties at the time of purchase that do not back their vehicles, and repairs. I have had a major mechanical problem with this car, and NISSAN SIMPLY PUT DOES NOT CARE.
