I purchased my 2014 Chevrolet Equinox used and havent had any problems. I get regular oil changes and service checks to prevent unexpected issues. Winter driving is great. Handle and wheel control is outstanding. I went for service recently and a salesman tried to convince me to trade it for a newer model.

Chevy sucks. Bought my 2016 Chevy Trax in September 2015. Its been well maintained. At the 59,000 mile mark, the steering wheel locks up and the engine powers down with no warning, ESC lights comes on and the car loses acceleration. Took it to 1 dealer who keeps it for 4 weeks when they figure its a module. I brought it to my regular mechanic who has a relationship with another Chevy dealer so I could save on labor, they have it for ANOTHER 4 weeks. And still with the savings, it cost me $1120 for this repair on top of the $218 I paid for the original diagnostic. I finally get the car back, have it for a day and its the same problem! They replaced the battery, and STILL the problem is still occurring and the dealer cannot figure out what is wrong. This is Chevys crappy product! Nothing in the normal wear and tear of car ownership should have me shelling out all this money when I bought it brand new and have had it for 3 1/2 years. Ive made 3 car payments in the last 90 days and still dont have a car to drive. I WILL NEVER BUY A CHEVY AGAIN!

My 2019 Chevy High Country has been a nightmare. Within my 1 st week owning my High Country I began to experience transmission problems. It would shift very hard between gears 3-5 up and down. I got hold of my dealer, Reliable Chevrolet in Springfield Mo, informed them of the issue, a shop foreman took a ride with me and Agreed it was not right. We set an appointment for one week out, I thought this strange to wait a week for such a serious defect, the truck got much worse during the week. I then took truck in, after 2 days I called to check on it. The dealer had not even looked at the truck, I expressed my extreme displeasure in this, my truck is my work truck and need all my tools to do my job as a home builder. I then thought it important to contact Chevy, I called customer care, they opened a case # and said a specialist would call within two days, 3 & 1/2 days later they had still not called. In the meantime I learned the truck I traded in was still at dealership, I called them and Chevy customer care and stated I am extremely unhappy with my brand new $65,000 truck having transmission issues within the first three weeks of ownership and wanted to unwind the deal. I would buy my old truck back and give them back their lemon truck that I had purchased, Reliable Chevrolet refused to not sell the trade truck, Chevy customer care, stated they would reach out to Reliable Chevrolet and see if they can help us get this resolved. In the meantime Reliable Chevrolet finally got my truck in to service and said it needed a brand new transmission. They contacted Chevrolet and they agreed and said they were shipping a new transmission. Would take 2 to 3 days for it to arrive & another day to install it.I called in in three days later to check and see if they had received the transmission only to find out that Chevrolet engineers had change their mind and said it needed a modulator part to work correctly. I was very displeased because as stated above they told me to continue to drive the truck for a week, it’s smoked, I could smell the transmission oil burning, and the hardness of the shifting had to be doing permanent damage to the truck. I have been a loyal customer of Chevrolet, for all of my personal truck and my company vehicles for employees have been Chevrolet’s. In the last 10 years I’ve purchased 25 brand new Chevrolet trucks. With my experience from this 2019 Chevrolet High Country, and the way I was treated by Reliable Chevrolet Springfield Missouri, and the very poor customer service from Chevy customer care who never did call me back until after week after Reliable Chevrolet returned my truck, I will never again purchased a Chevrolet vehicle or deal with Reliable Chevrolet in Springfield Missouri. My best advice is Buyer beware. My only voice With a large corporation like Chevrolet and this dealership which is very large in six states, is my buying power, they will no longer enjoy my business or have me or my company as customers, I have always spoken very highly of Chevrolet and actually argued with Ford owners about quality and service and brand loyalty, no more.

I would not recommend this company. All the GM support advisors do is schedule appointments, they dont care about your concern, nor do they care to get to the bottom of the actual problem. Ive had my 2019 Chevrolet Bolt EV for a year and a half now and Have had lots of electronics problems. They tell me they cant use a video to fix the issue that if its not malfunctioning at the time when its at the dealer, they wont fix it. Of course the car comes out of its bumper to bumper warranty by mileage and the entire infotainment fails and the other issues Ive complained about will finally get fixed at my extended warrantys expense and my $100 deductible. I call to speak with a senior advisor, they dont call back, they dont call when you tell them to call and will do what they want, when they want. This is the worst car company Ive ever had the displeasure of doing business with. Ive had Hondas, Fords, VWs and Chevy and Chevy has been the worst ownership experience ever.

I loved the style of the car. The Chevrolet Cavalier was an older car, but it was a great little car. It got great gas mileage, Air conditioning and FM Radio and it was just the right size car for me. It looked like a sports car, but with a 4 cylinder engine, and had all the features that I needed in a car. It had a roomy trunk for groceries and enough room in the back seat but I would have liked to have a little more room in there for the passengers.

I think my car has good value, but it doesn’t stand up to other Asian and European auto makers. The quality of my car has diminished greatly in the years I’ve had it. I’ve had to do many repairs on it and they have been very costly. In comparison my mom bought a Mitsubishi the same year as me and hers has had minimal repairs.

We purchased a 2016 Chevy Impala for my husband. In the 3 years we have had the vehicle, we have replaced the following items: 2 batteries, 1 starter, 1 purge valve. I am writing a review today in regards to the purge valve. Our check engine light came on and so we took it to our mechanic. The mechanic stated that the purge valve needed to be replaced, so we replaced it. 3 days after we paid for the repair, a letter in the mail came from Chevy stating the purge valve may be bad and to take it to the dealership to be replaced. Since we already replaced the valve, I applied for the reimbursement. Chevy is denying my reimbursement since it was not done at the dealership. This is the last Chevy we will ever own.

I got a Chevy Equinox back in 2019. Never owning one was nervous but soon found out it was one of the better vehicles I have owned, normal maintenance was always done, ran awesome, also I was hit on the side and that vehicle took a good amount of force, the equinox has very good safety in them also, it was eventually totaled due to damage, was very sad when I heard that, already getting another one, I do alot of camping and you can fit so much different size stuff in one, I love those SUVs and everyone I have known to have one say the same thing. I would purchase the 2012 Chevrolet HHR LT again but they no longer make this model. Midsize SUV with a lot of room in the back. I have almost 89k miles and not one ounce of trouble. Very comfortable car and easily seats five people. Excellent gas usage and uses regular and flex. Comfortable leg room for long distance driving. Like the style and a way of staying in the SUV. Also had an Explorer Sport at the same time, but chose to use this most often. Tried Kia Soul, Ford Escape, Jeep and Chrysler Sebring. I was amazed at the power this Chevrolets 4 cylinder car had and its ease of getting in and out. I would have preferred the gas tank be on the drivers side though and the rear window wiper control higher up on the dash, although I didnt use it often.

So far so good, except when we had to replace the tires because they were dry rotting and a sensor needed to be replaced. Other than that the car is comfortable to drive and has good pickup speed for a four-cylinder. Also, seats are comfortable, mom was the one that chose it. She had seen and advertisement in the paper and wanted to go look at it. After test driving it, she asked me how I liked it, then she bought it. However, I dont like the fact that it is made in Canada, should have been made here in the USA. I also dont like having to reset the clock when daylight savings time goes into effect. Also would like a full-size spare tire instead of the donut.

If anyone thinking about buying a Chevy, maybe you should give it a second thought. My radio quit, been trying, for a month, to buy a new one. Now before you get ahead of me you have to know that a radio is no longer just a radio. My radio (Chevy Sonic) makes all the noises for signal lights, seat belt chime, door ajar, oil pressure, overheat, stop engine, keys left in ignition and maybe some stuff I dont know about. You set all the stuff the car does: Rear wiper, lights on when leave and a dozen other stuff. ALL OF THE ABOVE NO LONGER WORKS. 3 years old and I cannot buy a radio, dont have them, farmed out to another company, back ordered for??? Called a US dealer (just across from me). He said last time he ordered one of them took 6 months. Thought I would buy used, cant. They are tied to your VIN number. Oh, and by the way, the price installed (they have to install, gotta use GM computer) has varied from $1300.00 to $617.50. But because I cannot buy one have not spent any money. DOES GM care, nope, they just tell you the dealer (not you of course) must order and wait. IMPRESSIVE HUH!

Bought a 3500 diesel. Was told motor and tranny would last forever, after 3000 miles brakes wore out on a Saturday. Replaced brakes and rotors with aftermarket on Saturday night so I had a vehicle for the weekend, went to dealer on Monday morning and was told brakes were not warrantied, Brakes should last longer than 3000 miles so there was obviously something wrong. Was told to get the ** out and to go to the dealer where the vehicle was purchased. Went to original dealer and was told nothing was wrong. At 40000 miles motor started to knock. Was told it was a sensor. Replaced sensor. Still same knock. They finally take my truck in and admit the motor was bad. Gave me a loaner for a month then called to tell me they needed their loaner back because it was sold as I was rudely yelled at by general manager and was told that loaners were for a few days not for a month. They did not have a loaner to replace it so Chevy corporate told me they would send me a refund if I had rented a truck. Needless to say they took 3 months to fix my truck and after six months and numerous phone calls still have not received any money from them. Was a dedicated chevy truck guy until this whole fiasco. Never again. Truck is a complete junior $65000.

I bought it used for $2000.00 and I felt like I had a mediocre deal because it had 300,000 miles already but I was desperate at the time. The car over all is good, it served its purpose and gets the job done. It runs good, it has no body damage but I sad to say I feel its on its way out now. I got the Chevrolet for cheap and was in need of a vehicle. The parts are not expensive and easy to find as well. And Vermont is where I live and there are plenty of Chevy dealers around and mechanics dont mind working on Chevys so thats a plus. Everyone loves American made cars. Cheap and easy. The car stereo is not very great though. And there is nothing electric about the car. The windows even have manual rollers on them. The windshield wipers kind of are not very good either but that doesnt really have to do with the model car. The wheel baron is going and that sucky. It has minor problems like the window and door wont open but the rust under it I dislike the most. Still, it has been one of the best cars I have owned even though its old. It has lasted me much longer than I thought it would. If I had to drive a Chevy again I would definitely choose a Chevy over many other car models out there. The engines on Chevys like to run for miles and miles.

If so call dealership give them this recall code and get it replaced on their dollar. ****recall***** (It’s called a special request recall) no difference to me other than the public is unaware. I sold my Mercedes CLS500 to buy a VOLT, it broke my heart but I found it necessary at that time. And I like the Volt, in sports mode it will outrun anything, the mileage is great, barely needs service, but it has one big downside - propulsion problems. At any given time theres a good chance your Volts little gas engine will start howling up like crazy, you will drive max 20 mph and sit (roll) and wait until the car gets over his propulsion power reduced moment... what can be very inconvenient if not dangerous on a freeway or driving up a hill. You might give it to your dealer for software updates, as this is the only service this car needs :) But the problem will come back. Also the initial 45 miles on a battery will get less and less, mine is currently 27. How much that all annoyed me? I bought my Mercedes CLS back and now we have 2 cars that could not be any more different form each other. Guess which one I drive most....

We purchased a 2014 current and last style Impala to be manufactured. The Impala was driven less than 12000 miles. It is without question the finest automobile we have ever had the pleasure of driving. The ride is terrific, provides consistent 29 miles per gallon or slightly better in ideal conditions. The automobile has all the bells and whistles save factory navigation. We enjoy each and every amenities on this vehicle save one item. Im not a real fan of low profile tires. We will soon remedy the low-profile malady by downsizing from 245 45 r19 to a 17 in wheel which will be very close in total circumference with a much higher sidewall. This will provide a much gentler ride over bumps, bumps and road imperfections and still odometer and transmission will operate correctly. I am currently researching correct replacement wheel so as to accommodate the larger brakes on this vehicle. Offset and bolt pattern must be adhered too. I really believe in days to come current SUV fanatics will come to realize the sedan was a good buggie. For the life of me I do not understand and yet I do. What does not sell you bring off the market! So happy I was able to get one, and almost a new one, suits me. Lots of room and a joy to operate.

The car comes with the ability to remote start; check battery, location, lock unlock; etc. This all comes with a internet connection through AT&T. They want between $180 to $420 per year to keep this service active. Thats absurd. My Ford provides these services free of charge. I understand that OnStar operators need to be paid but I am talking about basic tech services here. Is my car charged? When was it last driven? etc. I would love all that OnStar has to offer but I am unwilling to pay for it. Why cant Chevy provide basic informational services like Ford does for free?

Im not a fan of it (Chevy 1500 Van). The vehicle was said to be in much better condition than it is. It was being sold by a family member and so we thought they would be honest about the condition of the vehicle. It breaks down too easily and has been in the shop several times this year. The only thing that I like about the vehicle is that it is big enough to accommodate my family. However, I would honestly overhaul the entire thing. The upholstery is garbage, the engine is hard to work on because of how built. I have never had a vehicle break on me the way this one had.

I bought a 2018 Colorado ZR2 in April. Last night the oil cooler line failed. I called Roadside and they towed my truck to the dealer for repair. This is a common issue from what I see on many forums. I called the dealer and they told me they don’t have the part and wouldn’t be able to get one from Denver until Tuesday. I then called GM customer service to find out what they can be done. My situation, I’m from Las Vegas and I had to drive to Lander Wy to help out my mother and father. My father has to have surgery Monday. Earlier this week my mother was hospitalized and needed help to take care of my father and get him to his appointment on Monday. I drove up to help out and on Friday the oil line failed. I have to get him to his appointment and return to my family and job. I asked GM what could be done and they told me I could get a rental but I couldn’t leave the state. Expressed the gravity of the situation and they said they would have to get with the senior supervisor but he won’t be available until Monday. Unacceptable. He then told me he would patch me through to his supervisor and put me on hold. I have been on hold for an hour and a half so far. I have only owned GM products, this will be my last.

Driving a 2019 Chevrolet Impala has been a mixed experience. It had a very smooth and comfortable ride. The seat, which appeared to be ergonomically designed, actually hurt my back after a few minutes. The transmission generally was efficient and smooth, but without warning occasionally jerked or failed to accelerate sufficiently from a stop. The arm rest on the console was too high and my elbow hit it every time I made a right turn. And the drivers side mirror was huge and blocked my forward vision when I made a left turn. Overall a seemingly good car that Ill never buy.

The Chevy Trax is a new car in their lineup. Its a cross between a car and SUV so a hybrid. It was reasonably priced for all the features it offers. We were able to get a great lease deal which helped seal the deal. Chevy has a great reputation and the salesmen were super helpful. My father also worked for Gm his whole life so we tend to buy American. We love the gas mileage and color of the car. The safety features on the Chevy Trax are so good. Also, we feel completely comfortable with letting our teenage daughter drive the Chevy Trax. The keyless start feature is nice on cold mornings. It makes life a little simpler especially in Indiana! The Chevy Trax is an amazing vehicle but I always appreciate more color options. I believe that a sunroof option would be amazing as well. It isnt a loud car which is usually a big complaint of mine. I also do think the seats could be a little more ergonomically designed. The Lower lumbar area is not very comfortable, too

My Chevy is a sporty car and also known as a muscle car. They went away for quite a while and then the company decided to bring them back to compete in the market and it was successful. I like the overall sleek body and with all the curves. I had made a few upgrades myself and now the car looks amazing and is still very fun to drive. The color also makes the car look more mean and nasty. It is a low model though and not much of any features are in this car. I bought the base model because it was the cheapest option for me at the moment.

I own a used 2004 Chevy Tracker. Up to now it’s been reliable. The body doesn’t have a spec of rust and the engine and transmission are still running strong. The issue I have is with the integrity of Chevrolet Motors. Recently while driving on the highway my left front wheel became unresponsive and the front end vibrated violently. My mechanic informed me that the front cross member/subframe had rotted out. After doing some research on the internet I discovered this is a known problem and the warranty was extended to 10 years or 150k mile. When I contacted Chevrolet Customer Service to see if they would still honor the recall they refused because it was past the 10 year warranty. This is disturbing because it is a known and documented SAFETY defect. My realization is that Chevrolet still puts economics ahead of the safety of its drivers & passengers. So if you’re an advocate of Chevrolet please check the internet for any recalls or complaints for your vehicle model on a yearly basis because our safety appears not to be Chevrolet Motor’s priority.

It has inherent manufacturing issues that were ignored and the cars were sold anyway without any regard for the failures that were known by the manufacturer to occur. I hate everything about it. I bought a used Chevy Traverse from Smith Chevrolet in Laurens. This vehicle was in perfect condition to the eye. SALESMAN SAID BEST USED VEHICLES HE HAD. At 123054 miles I had to replace the engine. After a few months the locks would just start locking and unlocking while you were sitting at an idle. Then it started running very bad so I had it put on the machine. Nothing showed up so mechanic said maybe throttle body so I replaced that. Then it would not crank. I could hear stereo and lights work but would not crank. I had it towed to Riverside in Laurens. They replaced the brain on the engine said its running good. I picked it up. Drove back to work. When I got off it would not crank. Had it towed back to Riverside. Jay said that it had nothing to do with the new brain and he was beyond making any money on it. I paid $1099.80 for that brain so I paid for any work done. Took vehicle back to man that put motor in. Ask him to check behind his work. Still everything is fine per the mechanic but I get it home and again it will not crank. On January 22 2019 this vehicle was towed to another shop and it is still there as of today 5/18/19. YES 4 MONTHS. I bought this vehicle for $15000 and have over $25000 in it and still cant even drive it to trade it. I Will not buy another Chevrolet. And thats sad because I think Chevrolet has some nice looking vehicles but if you cant depend on them or get them fix they are not worth having. I ask for an appointment at Newberry Chevrolet back in January before I took to this last shop but they were to call back and so far I have not heard from them with an appointment.

I’m a retired senior widow. In August 2019 I gave up my Chrysler in favour of what I thought would be an economical Chevy. I bought a new Spark. I knew within the first week that I didn’t like it. When I stepped on the gas it hesitated. The service manager told me that that is normal for the Spark. Now, January, the car is plugged in. I drive it every second day to go shopping etc. One Monday morning the car wouldn’t start. On the third Roadside Assistance call I had the car towed back to the dealership. They checked everything and told me the battery was dead and I needed a new one. I asked how that was even possible with a new car. They advised me that if I wanted the battery to stay charged I would have to drive it about an hour every second day. I’m retired! I don’t need to drive an hour anywhere! So much for economical. So they didn’t have the required battery. They ordered one from the USA which got sent to Toronto instead of Winnipeg, or so they told me. By day ten they were telling me that they couldn’t track the battery so they really had no idea where it was. Still waiting! To summarize: I would not, nor would I recommend that anyone buy a Chevy Spark. Perhaps not even a Chevy of any kind.

Until everything started going wrong with this car. When I got the car I was told right away that I need to get the two latest recalls one for the ignition switch and the other one was for the electronic power steering motor -- which was done without delay. One month after this one of my headlights started getting water damage and both of the bulbs stopped working (150$ repair). Right after this my driver side speaker stopped working (which makes the blinker noise - another 150$ repair). The next issue that occurred was my whole power system unit stopped working (not even two months past getting the EPM recall fixed - 1200$ GM only repair) which resulted in them breaking my steering wheel cover (that they werent trying to tell me about or fix). The steering wheel was crooked and didnt drive straight (told the GM dealership and there wasnt anything wrong with it supposedly). Reported this to the appreciate channels -- Chevy shouldnt be able to get away with this kind of malfunction when the problem was identical to the EPM malfunction. Of course, no recall or any form of help came of it. Not even one month later and my gear shifter it almost getting to the point where it wont go into gear (hard almost stuck like feeling to get it into position). Once again GM dealership says that there is nothing wrong with it.Finally weeks after this issue my check engine light is on (yet to be diagnosis), have a feeling Im not going to be happy with whatever is broken this time. I seriously hate this car so much and I have low mileage. My 04 Chevy cavalier (that was burning oil, and ran dry a few times) never gave me any problems and ran like a champ. I seriously hate this Cobalt and the Chevy dealership Ive taken the cobalt to. As soon as I can Im getting rid of this car and never ever going to buy another Chevy (it use to be the only brand Ive ever bought but your newer models are lemons).Chevy found a way to get their newer models to a certain mileage and then one by one everything stops working or malfunctions! Ive never spend so much in one year on car repairs and they call the Cobalts sure money savers and even found a way for local news programs to market them like they are cherry cars. DO NOT BUY A COBALT OR ANY NEWER CHEVY MODEL-- YOURE GOING TO REGRET YOU EVER DID.

I am writing to complain about my Chevy Cruze 2016 Limited Lt. I have nothing but problems with this turbo. The fan sounds like the car is going to take off. This happens when you run the air conditioner. The car surges and the car goes through a stage where it takes a minute to reset. The turbo has acceleration issues where it will be running OK then slow down to barely doing the speed limit. I have had it in the dealership 3 times. They always tell me everything is OK to have it back and it is doing the same thing all over again. I dont want a car with a turbo anymore. Too many problems. I feel that I cant get the answers Im looking for. If I contact the dealership they will just tell me how everything is OK. I pay good money for my vehicle and if it is going to continue to be a problem maybe they should let me trade it for another vehicle. I need to know who to talk to so I can get this problem fixed.

I had an experience at a Chevrolet Dealership this past Friday morning 12/9/2016 at around 8 am that I have never had in my life. I was floored by the way I was treated. On my way to Jacksonville FL from Lagrange, Ga my car began to hesitate and sputter. I was in the middle of nowhere and it was still dark outside. I was 24 miles from the nearest town and Chevy dealership. I putted into that town and made it to the Chevy dealership service department. I went in and told them that I have a 2002 Chevy Prizm with 240,000 miles and its hesitating and sputtering when I accelerate. The service writer looked at his coworker at the desk beside him and they laughed. He looks at me and says your car is too old and has too many miles so we cannot even look at it. I said you cant even look at it? He said we wont look at it. He then gave me a card of a 3rd party mechanic in town and told me that the guy there should be able to take care of it for me. I have had this vehicle for 14 years and have been a Chevy customer for 14 years. I have never before experienced anything like this. What can be done?

It was a very dissatisfying experience at Kingdom Chevrolet in Chicago, IL. A 2018 Chevy Camaro 1LT was advertised as $17,695 on their website and seeing that I called Kingdom Chevy and confirmed the car availability and price. They were affirmative for both. I traveled all the way to their place for 2 hours and met the representative and he said there wont be any changes in the price and $17,695 is the final price plus TTL. We did the test drive and because the price was confirmed, I accepted for their credit run to know the APR that I will receive though I have an offer from bank. I gave all the confidential information and they ran my credit check. Now the manager comes and say, the price on the website was including some rebates and he can offer the car for $25500. Manager started asking me if I am in military or a student or a teacher, etc. How could a customer browsing through the internet know if rebates are applied or not. I was thinking $17,695 is a right price as 2019 models are already on the roads and they are trying to get rid of 2018 models and hence the price. I do not have concern on Chevrolet brand but the dealership is fooling the customers with false prices on their website.

To start I love Chevrolet. Well I did. I have literally owned 15 Silverados from 73 to my 2019 and by far I am more disappointed in spending 50k on a z71 truck than anyone of my old ones. I drove through 1ft of water and it took out my engine. Some may say its my fault just like the dealer. However if you advertise a truck let alone a 4x4 z71 offroad addition it should be able to handle some water. I have had plenty of my old truck in 3ft of water/mud and kept going like champions. A lifetime of driving chevys and I still just cant believe this. And Im stuck with the bill. Absolutely horse crap. Besides all the recalls that are going on with starts and rear windows leaking.. Which I bought and put in. I immediately brought the car to a trusted mechanic who informed me there is a special warranty on this, because it is a known problem, but I have to take it to a certified Chevy dealer to get it fixed. The problem is a PCV valve on the interchange cooler freezes off when temperatures go below -18. Well we live in Alberta so that’s a constant. Anyway because we took it to the other mechanic first the certified Chevy dealer refused to fix the problem stating, I can’t prove it. The ice is melted off. I bought a 2017 Chevy Colorado. I took it in for an oil change and rotation of tires. After I got the call that my vehicle was ready, I picked it up and was heading towards Ocala Florida and notice that my vehicle was rattling and swearing to the right. My wife told me move over to the right to take a look at why it was making such a rattling noise. She told me it sounds like you have a bad tire. I went to the medium and parked and took a look at the tires. The nuts and bolts were completely loose on all four tires. I was able to actually remove them with my hands. I called Ferman Chevrolet customer service and told them what happened and they wanted me to bring the vehicle back to them. I brought it back to them the following day because the car was not running right. The transmission seem to be making a noise and not changing shift. I took it to the dealership and they had to replace 3 of my tires and rims because they were damage from the time when I took it on the highway and the nuts and bolts were not tighten. They also flushed my transmission 3 times, because they noticed that there was a problem with my transmission. They told me that they had resolved the issue so I took my truck home. A few days later I started to notice that I was still having those transmission issues where it wasnt changing gears. I called GMC and filed a complaint against Ferman Chevrolet. They had me take my truck to another dealership to confirm the issues that I was having. The other dealership stated that it appear that it was a factory defect with the transmission. They claimed that they fix my issue. In 2 weeks later I was having the same problem. I called GMC and this time they didnt want to talk to me. I could not get anybody to help me with my truck that I had only had for 5 months. I did not have a choice because they werent willing to help me so I had to take a loss on the truck and trade it in for a Toyota Tacoma. I swore that I would never buy a GMC vehicle again. Great transmission. My second one was a 1969 Chevy Impala. Never had any issues. Both of them nice old muscle cars I put together myself. Put a lot of money into it. Was all Chevy parts. You cant go wrong with them. I put a small block 400 in the El Camino and a 350 in the Impala both with Turbo 350 Transmission. I would recommend Chevrolet product to anybody. I really enjoyed both these vehicles that was in my younger years when it was all about speed and looks. Now its more about comfort and safety. Chevrolet has all of that wrapped up in their vehicles now. I would recommend it to anybody.

The purchase of this SUV was record-breaking in that it was my first SUV and the newest vehicle I had ever owned. Within a year and a half I learned that GM believes that the engines in their vehicles can only be expected to last 5 years and that it is too bad, so sad that the engine in my vehicle stopped working. Anyone I spoke to found it inconceivable that a properly serviced vehicle would need to have the engine replaced at less than 100K miles.GM believes that since I did not have one of their dealers handle the repairs for my vehicles, there is nothing they can do as only their dealership can accurately diagnosis the cause of the engine failure and due to the age of the vehicle (barely 6 years old) it is solely my responsibility. The non-GM explanation as to the cause of the engine needing to be replaced was that the number one cylinder had grenaded damaging the electrode on spark plug.

Ive been driving trucks for 15 years and the last 9 Ive had a GMC. I loved that truck and when the transmission started to go I decided to buy a new Chevrolet. I decided to buy a Chevy. The truck was dropped of to me by someone at the dealership and had 300 miles on it most of witch from the drive to my house. From the moment I took my first drive (after I already owned it) it was shaking. It always shakes but sometimes its really bad and dangerous. I told the dealership right away and they fed me a lot of lies. They 100% agree its shaking but wont fix it or do anything for me. They changed my tires and my truck drove worse than before. I filed 2 claims with Chevy. One asking for a buy back and they denied my claim. Also one for some kind of trade assistance and they offered me $1,500.00. This truck has had other issues since I got it. The check engine light has come on twice and had to be turned off by the dealer. Also the steering wheel tilts to the left even after being aligned multiple times. I would not suggest buying a Chevy. Not only are they not good quality. Chevy does not stand by their products and warrantys. This had been a terrible experience and its nowhere near over.

First 2015 Chevrolet Dually Duramax shut down in Sept 2016. Driver fueled up, drove about 20 to 40 miles, trucks fuel filter light came on, truck stopped on interstate. As of 01/09/2017, truck is not fixable and still in shop. Loan company have called to come get it. I cannot fix it and cannot pay for it. This is one of three trucks I have for running freight on flatbeds. My trucks have to run to make payments. Second 2015 Chevrolet Dually Duramax shut down in the exact same manner, right down to fueling and driving a little way, and stopping. Metal shavings found in fuel system. This will put my small trucking business out of business. NOTE Both trucks bought at the same time, from same dealer, and drove off the lot the same day.

My Dad worked for GM for over 30 plus years on the line and other departments in the Ohio plant so with total shock pulling into his retirement home in FL 2 yrs ago. We see a Hyundai SUV parked in the driveway. After 10 mins of dogging him out about it. His came back with what most of you suspect. With demand for trucks and SUVs rising year after year GM has gone to cheaper parts in drive train and once damn good engines 200k without a problem. At the same time prices keep going up for some plastic bling that hides the crap underneath. I myself have been a chevy guy for over 40 yrs and many good cars and truck over the years... But no longer!!! Next truck end of this year will be a Tundra Ford and Dodge have problems of their own. For what is worth the Hyundai now has over 100k with zero problems in FL heat and traffic... Would I buy one? NO...Well maybe the genesis v8 425hp.

It has been so far a very comfortable and easy riding easy driving vehicle. The color, the style, more room inside. Keyless ignition and doors. Power seats. Power windows and doors I love. The all wheel drive was main feature but the overall appearance helped. But it is a little high up off the ground. A little hard for me to get up into. It could be a little easier on gas compared to what I am used to. But it is getting better as it gets broke in.

I come from a family that prided itself on owning Chevrolet trucks – trucks that ran for 200K+ miles. That came to an end for me today. I own a 2016 Suburban LT thats used as our primary family vehicle. At just over 64K miles, the car started to show signs of a delayed shifting between P, R, and D. It would hesitate and then jump into gear. The vehicle would also shake when on the highway and shifting between gears. The dealer first suggested re-programming the transmission and a fluid flush at a cost of $700, but the symptoms persisted. Upon further investigation by the transmission technician, I was presented with a price of $7,000 to replace the transmission with a remanufactured one.Visibly frustrated, the dealer suggested that I could approach GM about cost sharing of the repair, but only after performing a tear down of the transmission which was another $1,500. The dealer suggested that they needed to tear down the transmission so that they could identify precisely what went wrong and then report back to GM via a software application (not person to person interaction). Also, how convenient for GM and the dealer to have my vehicle taken apart before presenting me with a cost sharing proposal. GM already knows that the transmission needs to be replaced - and after its replaced, the broken transmission is sent back to GM to be remanufactured and sold to another dissatisfied customer whose transmission has failed because of poor mechanical craftsmanship. After several conversations with GMs Sr. Advisor and a Supervisor, which knew very little about transmissions or repairs in general, I was told that they would not consider any cost sharing until the tear down was performed - and it was my full responsibility to pay the $1,500 for tear down. So, before even knowing the full cost of repairing the vehicle, I need to pay $2,200? GM doesnt need the transmission torn down to address my issue. The Sr. Advisor and Supervisor should have had autonomy to escalate and do what’s right – which is be highly empathetic; own the mechanical flaw in craftsmanship; problem solve with me; and tell me that they’ll pay a certain percentage of the total repair cost to replace the transmission with one that’s been remanufactured. But, they didn’t do that; they didn’t stand by their product or their customer commitment. To me, it’s disgusting to see on GM’s website that they pride themselves on ensuring an exceptional ownership experience”. It’s a poor product and terrible company – that’s why they reduced the power train warranty from 100K in 2015 to 60K in 2016 – and have a class action lawsuit against them on the Yukon XL (not sure why Suburban is not on here, but will investigate). Ford may not be any better, but that’s where I’m headed – and that never would have happened had GM stood by their craftsmanship issue and done everything that they could have to satisfy me as a customer.

50k SUV I can’t drive - We bought a brand new 2019 Tahoe LT in late October of this year. Around 3 weeks ago we started experiencing serious electrical issues with the vehicle. While trying to leave a store, got message of “reduced steering assist drive with care”. Vehicle would not go in reverse and steering wheel would not move so it had to be towed. Vehicle was working again at dealer and Dealership couldn’t replicate issue. Had it back one day and it started doing it again so we videoed it when it wasn’t functional and it went back to dealer. It’s been in and out of shop going on 3 weeks- longer than we have even owned the vehicle. It appears there is some sort of serious electrical issue with these vehicles and we are not sure the dealer will buy it back- which is what we want. Buyer beware.

Now my coolant is the outside weather and I have to drain that crap out and replace it with the green stuff since it is apparently safer than what the manufacturer provides. Bit of a miracle that I got a 97 Lumina under a hundred thousand miles in 2019 so Im not going to destroy it with bad coolant. With the mixture, the car now raises its temperature rapidly at a stoplight and Im going to have to drain that stuff before Winters end. Fortunately the temperature quickly goes back to normal once the car moves.

In 2015 I bought a brand new Chevy Sonic so that I would not have to put money into a car besides maintenance. Well since the car was under 2 years old I’ve been spending thousands of dollars and 1 part breaks every year for the last 3 years and GM refuses to do anything about it. They told me it’s cover, well the part is covered. Still that’s $55 but the labor is not which is over $400 dollars. I’ve took my car in the shop because it continuously jerks. I spent about $1400 2 shop visit plus a new purge valve which they only charge me for the part because they missed it. (This is also the same valve that has broke for 3 years straight) But they said that’s why the car was still jerking. The valve was missing. But got it home it was doing the same thing but worst so I personally called GM to do something about their brand of car. Do you think they did anything? NO they direct me back to pay another Chevy dealership $160 for another diagnosis. I will never in my life support this business and I will make sure to tell all my family and friends to never buy a Chevy.

Re: Chevy Trax. The first year this model came out, it had a few glitches, but still was fun to drive, easy to park, not too bad on gas mileage and had enough space for a small SUV. Having had a decent experience with my first Trax, I opted to re-lease again. The newer Trax still has a few glitches and not too many upgrades. Still, its a good, solid, dependable little vehicle. In my opinion, the price could be lower since there arent too many extras included, just enough to not think youre driving a low-end vehicle. All in all, I like my Trax, and will continue to lease them in the future.

Fraudulent sales. In late October I purchased a vehicle from Herb Easley Chevrolet in Wichita Falls. I found the car online. I talked to a salesman and we reached a deal. The deal was 3%+ interest, 300+ per month for 60 months. I was out of town. The salesman mailed me the papers to my job site. When I received them, the note was for 72 months. My wife texted the salesman and said that was not what we agreed on. We wasn’t buying the car for 72 months. The salesman stated it was a financial department mistake. When we come to get the car, the papers will be for the 60 months. We show up to sign the papers and get the car. The financial guy had the papers printed out. I looked at them and they were correct and then I signed. They were as stated above for the 60 months. He went to put the papers in a folder and said he was out of folders, for us to go with the salesman and have him show us about the car while he found one. After the salesman showed us the car, another salesman brought us the paperwork in the folder. I never looked at it again. I went to pay it off and the bank said the note was for 72 months. This is what I claim the dealership did. They had the 72 months paperwork, then, they printed another paper with the 60 months as well. They showed me the 60 month one. I did not calculate the 60 month and the payment to see what it totals. The totals were the same on both contracts. Like everyone else, I just paid attention to the monthly payment and amount of payments. Once signed, they shredded the 60 month one and put the 72 month in my folder they had to go look for. This is all possible because they don’t have financial contracts that are put together. They use single page typing paper. I told the dealership I could show her exactly how they did it. She claimed their dealership would not do that. Strange that both employees somehow don’t work their anymore and they are under new management since I was in there. It’s not rare salesman come and go, but the financial guys usually stay a long while. I strongly recommend you not shopping at this dealership and I hope General Motors will investigate as well when I notify them.- [ ]

We purchased a brand new Chevrolet Tahoe from Koon’s Chevrolet of White M
We purchased a brand new Chevrolet Tahoe from Koon’s Chevrolet of White Marsh, MD in 2018. It now has 31,000 miles on it. We drove an hour to this dealership multiple times even though we could’ve bought 1 closer to home because we had loyalty to the sales person who spent all of the time with us. There was nothing better about the price etc. With owning our own business we understand the importance of time & commission. As of June 30th, it had 3 issues: 1. Air conditioner was not working. 2. Thump sound coming from under drivers side area when driving3. Peeling paint on an area where bumper meets side panelWe drove it out of town for the 4th of July holiday & the AC wasn’t working. I called & scheduled service on July 5 for a July 8 appointment. I explained to guy in service what the issues were & that I had tried to take it for the paint to another dealership closer to home & they advised that I would need to go to a dealership with a body shop & that Koons had 1 since that is where I had bought the car so when I made the appointment I notified of them of all of this & requested a loaner car since it would probably be a couple of day fix if it was paint related. They said OK & transferred me to the call center to make the appointment. I mentioned many times that I expected these things to be covered under warranty. At no time did anybody say they wouldn’t be or that my car was out of warranty. My husband takes the morning away from our business to drive the car an hour away for the services. Upon arrival at Koons, without even trying to be helpful or offering other avenues the service advisor (Charlie) was immediately snarky & couldn’t wait to tell my husband that the car was out of warranty & we would have to pay for the loaner & diagnostic fee & that any repair would be out of pocket because we were 11 days out of warranty even though mileage was low. When I made the appointment we were 3 business days out of warranty. This immediately upset us. My husband said, Isn’t there anything you can do? And the advisor said, No you’ve never even used us before why would I help you. Which actually is inaccurate. Koons repaired things on our car & did an oil change or two. However a car with 31,000 miles shouldn’t need many services so of course we hadn’t used you for anything else why would we. So here we are the first time we really need assistance after buying a very expensive car from Koons & we are treated this way. We own a business that deals with warranties and manufacturers nonstop. We have to service & warranty units that we did not install. We’ve made exceptions for customers. We always go above & beyond. We have a 5 star rating. Chevy does the same. Nobody even ever offered to try & help us or call GM or anything. As a Cadillac owner I know the lengths that my local dealership has went through for me even though I did not buy the car through them. So I told my husband to ask for the manager & try to get the same level of service that we’ve had with our prior vehicle through Cadillac. While he did that I called Chevy. I spoke with a great advisor & received a case ID & filed my complaint. I got everything taken care of on the phone with somebody that we had not spent a dollar with. That’s customer service.Meanwhile my husband is wasting time debating the level of customer service we deserve with your manager (Dan) after having quite the discussion with your advisor. The advisor was arrogant & unhelpful. The manager wasn’t very helpful either but at least he wasn’t that arrogant & rude. My husband drove the car back to our local dealer who picked up the case & fixed everything & helped us get it covered. Yes the dealership that we did not give the business of a car sale to was the one that ended up helping us so guess who gets our business going forward. Jeff D’Ambrosio that’s who. Koons dealership isn’t even a 1 on the scale, it’s -5. Probably the worst customer service I’ve ever had from a car dealer or mechanic shop anywhere.
