I’ve been a Chevy driver for 20+ years but will never buy another one after the one I have now. I currently have a 2013 Silverado crew cab. Not my first one but over the years that I’ve had it 2 of the handles have come off 2 different doors. I’m single and not many other people get in my truck. I’m not rough on it and it’s frustrating that this has happened twice. It’s right at $200 to have the handles replaced with part and labor. My daughter has a Suburban and 2 different handles have fallen off her vehicle, and my neighbor has a Tahoe and one of her handles fell off also. I thought it was just me but obviously it Chevrolet. Crazy!! I’m 57 and I’ve had a lot of vehicles in my many years of driving and I’ve never had this happen before. As much as these vehicles cost, they are made cheap!! Never again!!!

I love the Chevy truck me and my boyfriend have. Its safe overall and hasnt really had any major problems. The truck is easy to keep clean and havent really had problems with it. We like the heated seats, how it looked. How it drove and Ive always loved Chevys and will probably always buy them. The fact how safe it is and that it will be a great family truck and we will be able to give it to our daughter one day. However, I dont like how much parts cost to fix it but other than that my whole family loves it. We bought the truck lifted, so the tires and most everything else cost a lot to fix or replace but it still doesnt ruin the truck for me. I would totally recommend this truck to anyone or my family. Its going to be a great family truck when our little one comes in June.

Being a Chevy family for years I am very disappointed to find out that they hide problems with their vehicles from their customers. They can send out flyers to purchase new car mats or upgrades for cars, yet when a part is bad on their vehicles are bad. On our Trax our pvc valve cover went bad and Chevy had known that on the 2013-2017 Trax, Sonic and Cruise this part had been malfunctioning. It would have been under warranty from my dealership had I know when I was home to take it in.My warranty is not valid anywhere but there. Of course they never told me that either. My family decided to see our son who is in the Army 3.5 hours from our home. Car was not covered. We were stranded for 3 days because the strike caused a lack of parts throughout the country. Dealerships were closed because it was a weekend so we went to a Pep Boys. Chevy acknowledges this is an issue but refuse to reimburse me because I didnt go to a dealership in the town we were stranded in. Which by the way couldnt find the part we needed a Kia dealer had to find it! We will be trading in our Chevys by the end of the year and getting a different brand who believes in customer service not just making a buck!

I purchased a New Chevrolet Tahoe 2018 White Pearl and on the second day noticed a ZIT under the paint and looked around and saw hair fibers and sand under the white paint. I took to the Dealership and they sent to an Autobody Shop and it came back with a different shade darker, not happy with the result and sent to another Autobody shop in Clovis California and it came out ok. There were more fibers and fisheyes noticed and sent back again. This time it was totally torn apart and my vehicle was in there for 11 days. Spent 55k on a new Chevrolet Tahoe and this is what I am dealing with. I noticed more fibers in the paint and need to take back. Really looking to take them to court, because Chevrolet is not doing anything to remedy or compensate me for the issue I am dealing with. Purchased at Keller Auto in Hanford California.

The Chevrolet HHR was an OK summer car and its cute. Bought it brand new and it had thousand miles on it and the engine doing nothing but problems with our body. Ive never buy a Chevrolet ever again and I would not recommend it to any other person that Im post to friends or family. It was complete garbage. I would definitely improve the motor aspects of the car itself in the whole body. It was very weak and needed much replacements during the time Ive had it. But other than that, the seats are comfortable and clean. The radio was nice and I love the bass and the option to change the sound for each song if needed.

The Chevy Trax is a new car in their lineup. Its a cross between a car and SUV so a hybrid. It was reasonably priced for all the features it offers. We were able to get a great lease deal which helped seal the deal. Chevy has a great reputation and the salesmen were super helpful. My father also worked for Gm his whole life so we tend to buy American. We love the gas mileage and color of the car. The safety features on the Chevy Trax are so good. Also, we feel completely comfortable with letting our teenage daughter drive the Chevy Trax. The keyless start feature is nice on cold mornings. It makes life a little simpler especially in Indiana! The Chevy Trax is an amazing vehicle but I always appreciate more color options. I believe that a sunroof option would be amazing as well. It isnt a loud car which is usually a big complaint of mine. I also do think the seats could be a little more ergonomically designed. The Lower lumbar area is not very comfortable, too

Such a reliable car, and the many features, was so wonderful. I love my car, it never let me down, it perform excellent in all kind of weather. My cost was 7499, in 1991 well worth as penny.

I come from a family that prided itself on owning Chevrolet trucks – trucks that ran for 200K+ miles. That came to an end for me today. I own a 2016 Suburban LT thats used as our primary family vehicle. At just over 64K miles, the car started to show signs of a delayed shifting between P, R, and D. It would hesitate and then jump into gear. The vehicle would also shake when on the highway and shifting between gears. The dealer first suggested re-programming the transmission and a fluid flush at a cost of $700, but the symptoms persisted. Upon further investigation by the transmission technician, I was presented with a price of $7,000 to replace the transmission with a remanufactured one.Visibly frustrated, the dealer suggested that I could approach GM about cost sharing of the repair, but only after performing a tear down of the transmission which was another $1,500. The dealer suggested that they needed to tear down the transmission so that they could identify precisely what went wrong and then report back to GM via a software application (not person to person interaction). Also, how convenient for GM and the dealer to have my vehicle taken apart before presenting me with a cost sharing proposal. GM already knows that the transmission needs to be replaced - and after its replaced, the broken transmission is sent back to GM to be remanufactured and sold to another dissatisfied customer whose transmission has failed because of poor mechanical craftsmanship. After several conversations with GMs Sr. Advisor and a Supervisor, which knew very little about transmissions or repairs in general, I was told that they would not consider any cost sharing until the tear down was performed - and it was my full responsibility to pay the $1,500 for tear down. So, before even knowing the full cost of repairing the vehicle, I need to pay $2,200? GM doesnt need the transmission torn down to address my issue. The Sr. Advisor and Supervisor should have had autonomy to escalate and do what’s right – which is be highly empathetic; own the mechanical flaw in craftsmanship; problem solve with me; and tell me that they’ll pay a certain percentage of the total repair cost to replace the transmission with one that’s been remanufactured. But, they didn’t do that; they didn’t stand by their product or their customer commitment. To me, it’s disgusting to see on GM’s website that they pride themselves on ensuring an exceptional ownership experience”. It’s a poor product and terrible company – that’s why they reduced the power train warranty from 100K in 2015 to 60K in 2016 – and have a class action lawsuit against them on the Yukon XL (not sure why Suburban is not on here, but will investigate). Ford may not be any better, but that’s where I’m headed – and that never would have happened had GM stood by their craftsmanship issue and done everything that they could have to satisfy me as a customer.

Have not had a major problem with this truck since I purchased it in 2009. I have a 2009 Chevy Colorado Truck. It runs smooth after 62,000 miles with no tune up. Love the on-star feature... no engine problems, handles very well on the road, feels and sounds like you going 50 miles per hr when you are actually going 70mph even now. Of course I keep the oil change and do regular maintenance on the car. My husband bought this truck new because he wanted something that a female could drive due to its midsize. He died a yr later and I decided to keep the truck and sell my car... Best decision I ever made.

My Chevy Colorado had been totaled for a vehicle fire, truck almost killed
My Chevy Colorado had been totaled for a vehicle fire, truck almost killed me. There was no apparent reason why it happened, so most likely a product defect. There is a recall on 2018 Chevy Colorados, a fuel pump failure, which increases the cause of fire in fuel line. According to the fire report from the fire department, the cause of fire was fuel tank/fuel line. Apparently my Colorado was not part of this recall but maybe should have been based on what happened. To be sure, I wanted GM to investigate their vehicle, seeing as how it was less than 2 years old, bought brand new off the lot, only 17k miles. They stated that because my insurance company has it, that they will not look at it. My insurance company is fully willing to let them investigate it, but that means nothing to them. They stated that I would have had to call them before my insurance company in order for them to investigate and have a claim open. To me this is less about the claim and more about the fact that the vehicle caught fire while I was driving, no apparent reason why. It also feels like they are 2 separate issues. This is a safety issue that they need to address, and their only response is well log the issue. My insurance company hasnt been much help either. If GM is producing Trucks that are a hazard on the road, they need to do something about it rather than log the issue. No further efforts have been made on their part to help me, I have not been treated like a loyal customer but rather a nuisance and just a number. Worst customer experience ever.

First 2015 Chevrolet Dually Duramax shut down in Sept 2016. Driver fueled up, drove about 20 to 40 miles, trucks fuel filter light came on, truck stopped on interstate. As of 01/09/2017, truck is not fixable and still in shop. Loan company have called to come get it. I cannot fix it and cannot pay for it. This is one of three trucks I have for running freight on flatbeds. My trucks have to run to make payments. Second 2015 Chevrolet Dually Duramax shut down in the exact same manner, right down to fueling and driving a little way, and stopping. Metal shavings found in fuel system. This will put my small trucking business out of business. NOTE Both trucks bought at the same time, from same dealer, and drove off the lot the same day.

50k SUV I can’t drive - We bought a brand new 2019 Tahoe LT in late October of this year. Around 3 weeks ago we started experiencing serious electrical issues with the vehicle. While trying to leave a store, got message of “reduced steering assist drive with care”. Vehicle would not go in reverse and steering wheel would not move so it had to be towed. Vehicle was working again at dealer and Dealership couldn’t replicate issue. Had it back one day and it started doing it again so we videoed it when it wasn’t functional and it went back to dealer. It’s been in and out of shop going on 3 weeks- longer than we have even owned the vehicle. It appears there is some sort of serious electrical issue with these vehicles and we are not sure the dealer will buy it back- which is what we want. Buyer beware.

It was a very dissatisfying experience at Kingdom Chevrolet in Chicago, IL. A 2018 Chevy Camaro 1LT was advertised as $17,695 on their website and seeing that I called Kingdom Chevy and confirmed the car availability and price. They were affirmative for both. I traveled all the way to their place for 2 hours and met the representative and he said there wont be any changes in the price and $17,695 is the final price plus TTL. We did the test drive and because the price was confirmed, I accepted for their credit run to know the APR that I will receive though I have an offer from bank. I gave all the confidential information and they ran my credit check. Now the manager comes and say, the price on the website was including some rebates and he can offer the car for $25500. Manager started asking me if I am in military or a student or a teacher, etc. How could a customer browsing through the internet know if rebates are applied or not. I was thinking $17,695 is a right price as 2019 models are already on the roads and they are trying to get rid of 2018 models and hence the price. I do not have concern on Chevrolet brand but the dealership is fooling the customers with false prices on their website.

I got the Chevrolet for cheap and was in need of a vehicle. The parts are not expensive and easy to find as well. And Vermont is where I live and there are plenty of Chevy dealers around and mechanics dont mind working on Chevys so thats a plus. Everyone loves American made cars. Cheap and easy. The car stereo is not very great though. And there is nothing electric about the car. The windows even have manual rollers on them. The windshield wipers kind of are not very good either but that doesnt really have to do with the model car. The wheel baron is going and that sucky. It has minor problems like the window and door wont open but the rust under it I dislike the most. Still, it has been one of the best cars I have owned even though its old. It has lasted me much longer than I thought it would. If I had to drive a Chevy again I would definitely choose a Chevy over many other car models out there. In the last 4 months I purchased 2 used Chevy Volts with low miles and excellent condition. They replaced two Toyota Prius my wife and I owned. We’ve been Prius owners for 12 years, and have had a great experience with Toyota, but the Volt appealed to us for its much greater battery capacity as well as how it drives. What I didn’t anticipate was a far worse repair experience than I’ve ever had with any car in the last 40 years, and the fault is with Chevy and GM, not the dealer, for not having a commonly failing part available for the repair. It’s been 3 weeks now waiting for the part. In the meantime over many calls to GM for help, they have been absolutely awful. Day after day they apologize but they can’t tell you when the part will arrive, so I don’t know when I’ll get my car back.Three weeks after buying the second Volt, I had a problem starting it. I eventually got it started and drove it to the closest dealer in Arlington, MA. They told me right away it sounded like a common problem with the shifter assembly, but unfortunately the part was in backorder. Under the extended warranty I purchased, I had 6 days of a loaner car covered, so I got one and didn’t worry. A week later, the dealer still had no idea when the part would come from GM.That’s when I called GM and opened a case with Customer Service. The call center folks are friendly and try to help but are extremely limited as far as solving any problem. They assigned me a Senior Advisor however, and that was supposed to get my case escalated. But the Advisor also couldn’t tell me when the part would arrive. They also could not offer me any coverage for a loaner car during the extended wait for the part. The Advisor resorted to reciting policy to me on this issue. On multiple occasions I have tried to reach the Advisor to share information from the dealer or ask for an update. I’ve never been able to reach her the same day or next day. It has taken 2-3 days and messages and escalations for her to respond.Last week both the dealer and GM said the part was expected to ship that week. It didn’t. I called every day for an update and never got any sense that anyone knows anything about the parts availability. Then they said the part shipped last Friday so it should arrive that day or next day. The dealer looks for it every day but still hasn’t seen it (Tuesday). Again my calls to the Advisor, to ask about tracking the shipment, have not been returned. After borrowing my wife’s car for a week, which left her without a car, and getting rides to work from colleagues, I rented a car yesterday. With the extended warranty already used, and GMs policy preventing them providing any coverage since the manufacturers warranty has just passed a few months ago, I am now stuck with the rental cost, for how long I don’t know. The dealer says there’s nothing they can do til the part arrives. GM customer service says there’s nothing they can do to get the part to the dealer. The people responsible to make the part and ship it are completely insulated, as are any higher level managers, since customer service has said they can’t provide me any further contacts.I think the Volt is a great car. This mechanical issue is very minor. The car has a good reputation for reliability. But Chevy and GM can’t seem to provide a part for a common issue in the car. I’ve since heard that some Volt owners purchase and stockpile certain parts that occasionally fail, because they anticipate GM won’t be able to provide the part for repair. At this point I’m committed to the car, but don’t think I’ll ever buy another GM product in this lifetime, based on how poorly they’ve handled this. And I recommend the same for any car buyer. A global, multi-billion $ company can’t have common repair parts available within a day or two - that is a company that deserves to go out of business. And no more government bailouts. After buying the first one several months ago I bought another. Three weeks later I had a

I own a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer SS. While I was driving down the highway in Chicago Illinois at approx 55 mph the vehicle self accelerated to the maximum throttle position (pedal went to the floor). I could not get the vehicle to stop. Applied both feet to brake pedal while moving like a bullet. The vehicle suddenly lost power and I lost control of the vehicle spinning me around at approx 80 mph and crashing into the median wall now facing on coming traffic with cars trying to avoid crashing into me. Most horrific and scariest experience in my life. Not a single airbag deployed leaving me with serious injuries and a completely totaled vehicle! When I contacted GM to complain about this issue they told me they would escalate my complaint and someone would contact me within 24 hours. However a week went by and no one has called to follow up, apologize, and or even offer concern and I contacted them every day after the accident. I was constantly told the same story someone would be in touch! This happened February 22, 2017. As a loyal GM customer I am highly upset!! And will never purchase another GM product as long as I live! I have owned nothing but GM my entire life but never again. This company cares nothing about life whatsoever. They only care about the almighty dollar! After doing research I found several complaint about this unintended acceleration issue as well as no airbag deployment. Only by the grace of god I am alive today! Shame on you GM. You have lost a customer for life and I will tell the world how selfish and inconsiderate you are about caring, about quality of your cars, as well standing up for your mistakes! I could have killed my family as well as other families in the process and they wont even recall the vehicles to prevent further crisis situations. They wont do so until many families have died and it cost more to pay the claims than to recall the vehicles. As a 701 union mechanic I would be ashamed to even be employed by this so called manufacturer! Owner beware. If you own a Chevrolet Trailblazer get park it now and get rid of it! Dont take it to be service. They will most likely turn you around and say your vehicle is fine! Salvage that vehicle and do your research before you buy anything else!

I would give them 0 stars but they do call you and check on the issue, but they dont fix the issue. I have a 2017 Chevy Cruze LT and the check engine light recently came on so I took it to autozone and had the codes read. The code came back for a knock sensor and since I have a warranty on my car I called to check to see if it was a covered part with them and confirmed that I have 1 hour free diagnostic and the part was covered but the check engine light went off and stayed off for a few weeks. It came back on not too long ago and this time the codes reads intake airflow system performance so I just take to Chevy because at this point I am just done with the car and dont want to cause any damage driving it. The problem Is that I have been in contact with Chevy corporate for 2 months on this issue asking for assistance because if the part is something that was not covered under my warranty I didnt think I should be responsible for it. They have done nothing to help out with trying to solve the issue.

I like that my Chevrolet is a pickup truck. It was an affordable price, an individual sale, and what was needed for our home. Its a full size truck that we are able to haul the materials we need for home repairs, to use for work, and it also has the full back seat and third door so we can take the grandchildren to the park or out to eat. A good benefit when you only have one vehicle to use in your home. I wish it has a fourth door for when you are in a hurry, like when it might be raining and you need to get the children in the house quickly and they are trying to get out at the same time or when you have groceries that need to be brought in then and cant wait. And also, have a little more leg room. Other than that, its a good vehicle that serves me well

My Chevrolet Metro has 13 inch tires so for street use only. Good gas mileage. Only 3 cylinders, so not a lot of power. Definitely a smaller vehicle, and so I try to stay off the highway. It has 4 door, comfortable seating. Easy to drive in the city and okay first car. Experts recommended the vehicle and this model has good customer ratings but it was a mistake purchase, should have purchased a different vehicle... Replacement parts are expensive though and its not the safest of vehicles if in an accident.

I truly enjoy my Chevy sportscar. Maintenance is key to keeping vehicles in working order and I keep to maintenance schedule. Because my car requires OEM parts, I work closely with Service Writers at the Dealership Service Centers. I am not a fan of paying for diagnostics more than once for any issue, although the dealer will attempt to charge me repeated diagnostic fees. Last time I took my car to the dealership for an oil change, the salesman made an offer to buy my car on the spot. It was a very uncomfortable situation because he would not take no for an answer.

They must be trained at this! Most of the time they try to insinuate that youre at fault and you should pay for the repair! Or the problem is a figment of your imagination! Not just with GMC/Chevy, Also w/ Honda. Most vehicles are built well enough to just get them pass their extended warranties! The biggest issue with this service department was the time it took for an oil change and tire rotation, 5 HOURS, but I have listed all the details below. Pros: - Service was completed- Service consultant was pleasant Cons:- Timing. It took this service department from 10:15 am to 3:15 pm, 5 HOURS, to complete an oil change and tire rotation. I scheduled my appointment online and was told when I arrived that it might take up to 3.5 hours. I was not happy but needed the oil change today and assumed it might include something like a basic exterior wash for the time. At the 4-hour mark, I called the service department to get an update. After a few moments of not being able to find my car, I was told to give them another 1.5 hours to complete the service. - Price. When scheduling my appointment online, the dealership was offering a coupon for $29.95 + tax. The only fine print, directly from the coupon, was, “Tire balancing, tax, and more than 6 quarts of oil extra.”. Since I did not see a line item for tire balancing or more than 6 quarts of oil, I asked why I was being charged $12.89 more than the coupon, before tax. I was told that prices have gone up and they could not honor the coupon price. If that is the case, the coupon needs to be removed from the website. - “Shuttle”. I advised the service department I would be waiting there for my car. It was at that point they offered a shuttle, via Lyft, within 10 miles of the dealership. I opted to take them up on the offer, but just across the highway to the mall. At 4.5 hours, I ended up walking back to the dealership since my phone was about to die so there was no way I would be able to coordinate the shuttle back between the dealership and Lyft. At the time of payment, I see a charge for, “Incidental Reimbursement” in the amount of $5.67. I can only assume this was for the “shuttle service” they would take care of within 10 miles. - Lack of attention to detail. When I received the bill, I noticed a charge of just over $22 for 2 bolts. I knew I would have to pay for the bolts but remembered the conversation advising it would be around $4 and change, per bolt. I had to ask why the charge was so high before they even noticed it. Lastly, upon getting in my car, I noticed in the 5 hours they had the vehicle, no one could be bothered to reset the oil life indicator.

We purchased a brand new Chevrolet Tahoe from Koon’s Chevrolet of White M
We purchased a brand new Chevrolet Tahoe from Koon’s Chevrolet of White Marsh, MD in 2018. It now has 31,000 miles on it. We drove an hour to this dealership multiple times even though we could’ve bought 1 closer to home because we had loyalty to the sales person who spent all of the time with us. There was nothing better about the price etc. With owning our own business we understand the importance of time & commission. As of June 30th, it had 3 issues: 1. Air conditioner was not working. 2. Thump sound coming from under drivers side area when driving3. Peeling paint on an area where bumper meets side panelWe drove it out of town for the 4th of July holiday & the AC wasn’t working. I called & scheduled service on July 5 for a July 8 appointment. I explained to guy in service what the issues were & that I had tried to take it for the paint to another dealership closer to home & they advised that I would need to go to a dealership with a body shop & that Koons had 1 since that is where I had bought the car so when I made the appointment I notified of them of all of this & requested a loaner car since it would probably be a couple of day fix if it was paint related. They said OK & transferred me to the call center to make the appointment. I mentioned many times that I expected these things to be covered under warranty. At no time did anybody say they wouldn’t be or that my car was out of warranty. My husband takes the morning away from our business to drive the car an hour away for the services. Upon arrival at Koons, without even trying to be helpful or offering other avenues the service advisor (Charlie) was immediately snarky & couldn’t wait to tell my husband that the car was out of warranty & we would have to pay for the loaner & diagnostic fee & that any repair would be out of pocket because we were 11 days out of warranty even though mileage was low. When I made the appointment we were 3 business days out of warranty. This immediately upset us. My husband said, Isn’t there anything you can do? And the advisor said, No you’ve never even used us before why would I help you. Which actually is inaccurate. Koons repaired things on our car & did an oil change or two. However a car with 31,000 miles shouldn’t need many services so of course we hadn’t used you for anything else why would we. So here we are the first time we really need assistance after buying a very expensive car from Koons & we are treated this way. We own a business that deals with warranties and manufacturers nonstop. We have to service & warranty units that we did not install. We’ve made exceptions for customers. We always go above & beyond. We have a 5 star rating. Chevy does the same. Nobody even ever offered to try & help us or call GM or anything. As a Cadillac owner I know the lengths that my local dealership has went through for me even though I did not buy the car through them. So I told my husband to ask for the manager & try to get the same level of service that we’ve had with our prior vehicle through Cadillac. While he did that I called Chevy. I spoke with a great advisor & received a case ID & filed my complaint. I got everything taken care of on the phone with somebody that we had not spent a dollar with. That’s customer service.Meanwhile my husband is wasting time debating the level of customer service we deserve with your manager (Dan) after having quite the discussion with your advisor. The advisor was arrogant & unhelpful. The manager wasn’t very helpful either but at least he wasn’t that arrogant & rude. My husband drove the car back to our local dealer who picked up the case & fixed everything & helped us get it covered. Yes the dealership that we did not give the business of a car sale to was the one that ended up helping us so guess who gets our business going forward. Jeff D’Ambrosio that’s who. Koons dealership isn’t even a 1 on the scale, it’s -5. Probably the worst customer service I’ve ever had from a car dealer or mechanic shop anywhere.

Way to go Chevy for making sure your pockets stay padded while the rest of us have a car that’s spent more money fixing it than what they paid for it! I am up to almost $2500 in repair costs and have been without a car for 6 months. I have replaced the ENTIRE PCV system. The water pump, the terminal block fuse, the starter, engine oil cooler, sensors etc has been replaced and some have been replaced numerous times. It’s horrible how this is clearly a problem from the factory and a poorly designed system but yet Chevy has no fix, swears there’s nothing wrong, will not issue a recall, and are allowed to get away with it. Don’t get me wrong because I always have and always will drive their vehicles and I’ve had no problems to date with any of the others I’ve owned. But this one sure has left a bad taste in my mouth and highly disappointed that they don’t care about our/my loyalty to their line. I loved the car except for all the issues. Once I get it back I have no choice but to try and get rid of it before the next 50,000 miles since that’s the average they last until the PCV system starts to fail again.

Until everything started going wrong with this car. When I got the car I was told right away that I need to get the two latest recalls one for the ignition switch and the other one was for the electronic power steering motor -- which was done without delay. One month after this one of my headlights started getting water damage and both of the bulbs stopped working (150$ repair). Right after this my driver side speaker stopped working (which makes the blinker noise - another 150$ repair). The next issue that occurred was my whole power system unit stopped working (not even two months past getting the EPM recall fixed - 1200$ GM only repair) which resulted in them breaking my steering wheel cover (that they werent trying to tell me about or fix). The steering wheel was crooked and didnt drive straight (told the GM dealership and there wasnt anything wrong with it supposedly). Reported this to the appreciate channels -- Chevy shouldnt be able to get away with this kind of malfunction when the problem was identical to the EPM malfunction. Of course, no recall or any form of help came of it. Not even one month later and my gear shifter it almost getting to the point where it wont go into gear (hard almost stuck like feeling to get it into position). Once again GM dealership says that there is nothing wrong with it.Finally weeks after this issue my check engine light is on (yet to be diagnosis), have a feeling Im not going to be happy with whatever is broken this time. I seriously hate this car so much and I have low mileage. My 04 Chevy cavalier (that was burning oil, and ran dry a few times) never gave me any problems and ran like a champ. I seriously hate this Cobalt and the Chevy dealership Ive taken the cobalt to. As soon as I can Im getting rid of this car and never ever going to buy another Chevy (it use to be the only brand Ive ever bought but your newer models are lemons).Chevy found a way to get their newer models to a certain mileage and then one by one everything stops working or malfunctions! Ive never spend so much in one year on car repairs and they call the Cobalts sure money savers and even found a way for local news programs to market them like they are cherry cars. My husband and I purchased this vehicle after a car accident totalled our other one. Bought this car used and began noticing issues. We have had to replace the torque sensor which was $600 alone. Many Chevy vehicles were recalled for this issue. Today I get a letter in the mail telling me that the side impact airbag was recalled. But heres the catch, they will only replace it free of charge if its under 150,000 miles. The vehicle was over that when we bought the car! Airbag light has been on for some time now... I tried calling Chevy customer service and got nowhere. They asked me repeatedly what the letter said. So after reading it to them 4 times and being told there was no issue, yet Im holding the letter in my hands that I just opened. I hung up. This by far has been my worst car owning experience ever! The battery is located in the trunk of the car. I show up to work and I smell burning wires. Thats the smell I smell inside the car. I opened my door and I see smoke coming out of the cracks of my trunk I freak out, I popped my trunk open and see theres a fire inside my trunk. The day prior I was working on a vehicle so I had my toolbox, a brand new can of carb cleaner in my trunk where tools should go. Well the can had hit the battery terminals and my toolbox managed to find its way on top of the can causing the spark and the contents inside the can obviously kept the flame going caught the toolbox on fire. Thank God nobody was hurt but thats a poor design. If youre going to put a battery in a trunk as a maker of a car put it in a contained area. A box of some sort. Protect the battery from anything a person may put in their trunk. Or even have another area for storage space for your tools, jumper cables, tow rope things like that keep the battery separated from anything that could be hazardous. That should only be common sense.

Purchased a Chevy trax last year and its one of the best cars Ive ever owned. Good on fuel and plenty of room even for my dogs. Not a lot of truck space. I would recommend this vehicle especially to older people due to the good mileage it gets on a full tank.

For those of you driving 2016-2018 there’s a legitimate “recall” out for a warning msg reduced power mode. Luckily my mechanic hates these death traps and told me to spread the word. Get these POS off the road. Went from 70mph to 10 in seconds. Sound familiar?? If so call dealership give them this recall code and get it replaced on their dollar. ****recall***** (It’s called a special request recall) no difference to me other than the public is unaware. Needed new pedal accelerator, sensor and a shifter, new wiring because they used glue which melted our wiring around the pedal. Chevy is scamming the recall process. Unbelievable.

I had an experience at a Chevrolet Dealership this past Friday morning 12/9/2016 at around 8 am that I have never had in my life. I was floored by the way I was treated. On my way to Jacksonville FL from Lagrange, Ga my car began to hesitate and sputter. I was in the middle of nowhere and it was still dark outside. I was 24 miles from the nearest town and Chevy dealership. I putted into that town and made it to the Chevy dealership service department. I went in and told them that I have a 2002 Chevy Prizm with 240,000 miles and its hesitating and sputtering when I accelerate. The service writer looked at his coworker at the desk beside him and they laughed. He looks at me and says your car is too old and has too many miles so we cannot even look at it. I said you cant even look at it? He said we wont look at it. He then gave me a card of a 3rd party mechanic in town and told me that the guy there should be able to take care of it for me. I have had this vehicle for 14 years and have been a Chevy customer for 14 years. I have never before experienced anything like this. What can be done?

It runs great and has great gas mileage. I love the color and the style of the car. I love the features it has, the shape of the car, and I also love how it is so easy on gas. But sometimes it takes more oil than it did before, so I think I might have a problem with that part. It has a little high mileage as well. I have had it for a couple years now, and runs so smoothly for me and also for my family. We run a lot of errands with it. Everyone in my family just loves it so much. Would hate to have to replace it.

It no coincidence that owning two GM Trucks with the same 5.3 engines has failed on me. 1st 2011 Tahoe camshaft failed due to oil consumption. 2nd 2016 Truck Ticking due to the lifters went bad from the AFT. Chevrolet has bulletin not known to the public and will not fix these problems. Had I not had extended warranties I would be hit with the cost and GM known about this defects among their engines.

Im really pleased with my Equinox. Drives GREAT. Good gas mileage. Zero things to dislike about the car. Buying it, and dealing with Chevrolet has not been satisfactory. Problem 1: Chevrolet wants to sell On-Star. Fine. I dont want it. Eventually, On-Star called me one day when I started the car. I couldt shut it off. Chevy was broadcasting an add into my car, without my consent. I was so mad. They got me to press the button. I tried to be nice to the operator. But, told them no, and dont do that again. And, yes, someone can contact me about this. No one every has done so. Bottom line: Chevy could not PAY ME to own On-Star. (Ive designed electronics for 40 years. I bet I can disconnect the antenna).Problem 2: I love the multi-media center. But occasionally, they lock it up with a text message. It is a warning that I should not look at the screen while driving. And, I must acknowledge by pressing OK to release the screen. How hypocritical that I should read, and acknowledge a long text before the screen functions. I would like to punch the attorney whose idea this is in the nose, and then in the groin (hypothetically, of course). That is a piece of software that is broken!

Re: Chevy Trax. The first year this model came out, it had a few glitches, but still was fun to drive, easy to park, not too bad on gas mileage and had enough space for a small SUV. Having had a decent experience with my first Trax, I opted to re-lease again. The newer Trax still has a few glitches and not too many upgrades. Still, its a good, solid, dependable little vehicle. In my opinion, the price could be lower since there arent too many extras included, just enough to not think youre driving a low-end vehicle. All in all, I like my Trax, and will continue to lease them in the future.

I love my 2015 Chevy Cruze LTZ RS. I actually had one as a rental car back in 2015. It was so comfortable that the 12 hour drive seemed to fly by. I love the look of it and enjoyed driving it. In 2015 I bought a brand new Chevy Sonic so that I would not have to put money into a car besides maintenance. Well since the car was under 2 years old I’ve been spending thousands of dollars and 1 part breaks every year for the last 3 years and GM refuses to do anything about it. They told me it’s cover, well the part is covered. Still that’s $55 but the labor is not which is over $400 dollars. I’ve took my car in the shop because it continuously jerks. I spent about $1400 2 shop visit plus a new purge valve which they only charge me for the part because they missed it. (This is also the same valve that has broke for 3 years straight) But they said that’s why the car was still jerking. The valve was missing. But got it home it was doing the same thing but worst so I personally called GM to do something about their brand of car. Do you think they did anything? NO they direct me back to pay another Chevy dealership $160 for another diagnosis. I will never in my life support this business and I will make sure to tell all my family and friends to never buy a Chevy.

I have owned a big variety of vehicles Fords Dodge Volkswagen Etc. My first car was a Chevy 1968 Chevelle Malibu El Camino. Really nice car. Never had any issues with it. Really tough engine. Great transmission. My second one was a 1969 Chevy Impala. Never had any issues. Both of them nice old muscle cars I put together myself. Put a lot of money into it. Was all Chevy parts. You cant go wrong with them. I put a small block 400 in the El Camino and a 350 in the Impala both with Turbo 350 Transmission. I would recommend Chevrolet product to anybody. I really enjoyed both these vehicles that was in my younger years when it was all about speed and looks. Now its more about comfort and safety. Chevrolet has all of that wrapped up in their vehicles now. I would recommend it to anybody.

The reason I chose the Cheverlot Cavalier was the color and how it rode when I took it for a test drive. It was the perfect car for my small family. I didnt need anything big. The dealer was very convincing and told us about all the luxuries the car had, let us take it for a test drive and I was very pleased. I tested drove 2 other vehicles and they were not what I was looking for. They was nice but not what I wanted. But the last car I drive was suitable for me and met my expectations. Its got a lot of room in the trunk, tires are not expensive, doesnt take a lot to fill up the gas tank and gets me to work and other places I need to go without any problems. Like sunroof, radio, AC, seats are comfortable and the gas Mileage is amazing. But seat should be leather so they can be heated for cold days. For better quality maybe have power seats and windows instead of crank. Have more comfortable seats. Should have better radios in it and should get a backup camera so you dont hit anything or another vehicleOther than that Cheverlot Cavalier is one of the best cars Ive bought in years. If someone would ask me about buying a car I would recommend this model if they want something thats is easy in gas and just the right size. I would recommend it to all my friends and family and hope they would purchase and feel please about it. Also there is lots of different colors. In the car I chose comes with different luxuries. Its also American built car and not imported. I love it and I would buy another one.

If anyone thinking about buying a Chevy, maybe you should give it a second thought. My radio quit, been trying, for a month, to buy a new one. Now before you get ahead of me you have to know that a radio is no longer just a radio. My radio (Chevy Sonic) makes all the noises for signal lights, seat belt chime, door ajar, oil pressure, overheat, stop engine, keys left in ignition and maybe some stuff I dont know about. You set all the stuff the car does: Rear wiper, lights on when leave and a dozen other stuff. ALL OF THE ABOVE NO LONGER WORKS. 3 years old and I cannot buy a radio, dont have them, farmed out to another company, back ordered for??? Called a US dealer (just across from me). He said last time he ordered one of them took 6 months. Thought I would buy used, cant. They are tied to your VIN number. Oh, and by the way, the price installed (they have to install, gotta use GM computer) has varied from $1300.00 to $617.50. But because I cannot buy one have not spent any money. DOES GM care, nope, they just tell you the dealer (not you of course) must order and wait. IMPRESSIVE HUH!

I bought a 2018 Colorado ZR2 in April. Last night the oil cooler line failed. I called Roadside and they towed my truck to the dealer for repair. This is a common issue from what I see on many forums. I called the dealer and they told me they don’t have the part and wouldn’t be able to get one from Denver until Tuesday. I then called GM customer service to find out what they can be done. My situation, I’m from Las Vegas and I had to drive to Lander Wy to help out my mother and father. My father has to have surgery Monday. Earlier this week my mother was hospitalized and needed help to take care of my father and get him to his appointment on Monday. I drove up to help out and on Friday the oil line failed. I have to get him to his appointment and return to my family and job. I asked GM what could be done and they told me I could get a rental but I couldn’t leave the state. Expressed the gravity of the situation and they said they would have to get with the senior supervisor but he won’t be available until Monday. Unacceptable. He then told me he would patch me through to his supervisor and put me on hold. I have been on hold for an hour and a half so far. I have only owned GM products, this will be my last.

I have a 2013 Chevy Trax, recently I had trouble with losing power on a trip to the city. When I got to the city the check engine light came on. I checked the oil and it was down 3 litres. Which I bought and put in. I immediately brought the car to a trusted mechanic who informed me there is a special warranty on this, because it is a known problem, but I have to take it to a certified Chevy dealer to get it fixed. The problem is a PCV valve on the interchange cooler freezes off when temperatures go below -18. Well we live in Alberta so that’s a constant. Anyway because we took it to the other mechanic first the certified Chevy dealer refused to fix the problem stating, I can’t prove it. The ice is melted off. Never again will I buy any Chevy product, phoned their head office and more of the same runaround.

2018 TRAVERSE VIN # ** Mileage: less than 10000 (ten thousand). Export version only. Country: COLOMBIA. Many small issues and no fix yet.1. Shift to park. When you park the vehicle ask you to put it in PARK and it is already. Dealer is working on that as I write this thread. Tech found a recall or bulletin from manufacturer to repair or possible replacement of some parts.2. SERVICE STABILITRACK. In many and random occasions this service light comes on and 20 seconds later goes off. When stopping at a light. Dealer unable to duplicate and no fix yet.3. Fuel economy system, it does not work right now, and it happened twice before. Does not turn off when you stop at a traffic light. Dealer has updated software in order to remedy this issue.4. Locking audio confirmation. When you manually lock the doors it gives you an audio or lights confirmation. It does not work anymore. Dealer looking into this issue.5. Electric parking brake. The electric parking brake activated itself while driving in traffic. Heavy traffic situation 5 mph and the E. brake came on and stayed on. The vehicle did not move forward or backwards. Turn the engine off several times, put in parking, neutral etc etc. After 5 minutes of blocking traffic had to force the vehicle to the shoulder. Almost did not make it. Turn vehicle off and called the flat bed. While waiting 15-20 minutes later turn vehicle on and SURPRISE!!! It was fixed. MAGIC. The E brake was off and the vehicle was free. While this was going on the E Brake light (red) was on, and Service Parking Brake light (amber) was flashing all the time. Dealer did an update to the system and not sure if it will happened again. But this is the THIRD time this happened. Once at my house about six months ago but it took about 1 minute and it fix itself so I did not pay attention to it. The second time it happened to my wife at a shopping center but she left it in the lot and went back shopping and when it came out it was fixed. The dealer down here works hand to hand to a place in Mexico (Chevrolet help center for dealers). Mexico looks at the issue and tells the tech in Colombia what to do. He does and reports to Mexico. Anyone knows anything about this? Thanks for your help....

While my Tahoe was a little pricey, I absolutely love it! I have owned Chevys most of my life; Camaros, Z-28s, Chevelle Malibu, Impala. Prior to buying my Tahoe, I had a couple of non Chevy automobiles. However, my favorite T.V. show is Criminal Minds, and I wanted a car just like the ones they drove. I kept my eye out for a good deal on a Tahoe, so I could own my dream car, and, finally saw it as I passed by a Chevy dealership. I popped into the lot, test drove it and thats all she wrote. I trust Chevys, so there was no research needing to be done! It has so many features, that even today, I still find things extras on this car that I didnt know I had. I purchased the Malibu brand new with 52 miles in March 2016. The first 6 months was good. The gas mileage did not meet what was specified but it wasnt bad. Towards the end of the year my car wouldnt start after stopping at a local grocery store. I had to wait till 2 hours later for it to mysteriously cut back on. Once it did the air was stuck on high and the radio wouldnt come on. Took it the following Monday to the dealership that determined the computer needed a reboot. Everything was fine for a few more months then the car cut off again. This time the dealership could not find anything. The car continued to cut off randomly at times while driving. My 2019 Chevy High Country has been a nightmare. Within my 1 st week owning
My 2019 Chevy High Country has been a nightmare. Within my 1 st week owning my High Country I began to experience transmission problems. It would shift very hard between gears 3-5 up and down. I got hold of my dealer, Reliable Chevrolet in Springfield Mo, informed them of the issue, a shop foreman took a ride with me and Agreed it was not right. We set an appointment for one week out, I thought this strange to wait a week for such a serious defect, the truck got much worse during the week. I then took truck in, after 2 days I called to check on it. The dealer had not even looked at the truck, I expressed my extreme displeasure in this, my truck is my work truck and need all my tools to do my job as a home builder. I then thought it important to contact Chevy, I called customer care, they opened a case # and said a specialist would call within two days, 3 & 1/2 days later they had still not called. In the meantime I learned the truck I traded in was still at dealership, I called them and Chevy customer care and stated I am extremely unhappy with my brand new $65,000 truck having transmission issues within the first three weeks of ownership and wanted to unwind the deal. I would buy my old truck back and give them back their lemon truck that I had purchased, Reliable Chevrolet refused to not sell the trade truck, Chevy customer care, stated they would reach out to Reliable Chevrolet and see if they can help us get this resolved. In the meantime Reliable Chevrolet finally got my truck in to service and said it needed a brand new transmission. They contacted Chevrolet and they agreed and said they were shipping a new transmission. Would take 2 to 3 days for it to arrive & another day to install it.I called in in three days later to check and see if they had received the transmission only to find out that Chevrolet engineers had change their mind and said it needed a modulator part to work correctly. I was very displeased because as stated above they told me to continue to drive the truck for a week, it’s smoked, I could smell the transmission oil burning, and the hardness of the shifting had to be doing permanent damage to the truck. I have been a loyal customer of Chevrolet, for all of my personal truck and my company vehicles for employees have been Chevrolet’s. In the last 10 years I’ve purchased 25 brand new Chevrolet trucks. With my experience from this 2019 Chevrolet High Country, and the way I was treated by Reliable Chevrolet Springfield Missouri, and the very poor customer service from Chevy customer care who never did call me back until after week after Reliable Chevrolet returned my truck, I will never again purchased a Chevrolet vehicle or deal with Reliable Chevrolet in Springfield Missouri. My best advice is Buyer beware. My only voice With a large corporation like Chevrolet and this dealership which is very large in six states, is my buying power, they will no longer enjoy my business or have me or my company as customers, I have always spoken very highly of Chevrolet and actually argued with Ford owners about quality and service and brand loyalty, no more.
