Audi of North America gets an F for customer service. I had the worst experience ever dealing with their representative over a new Q5 I purchased. Two phone calls (ended nowhere), I escalated the issue to a supervisor who not surprising was same useless when it comes to settling disputes between the customer and the dealer. The car came with a license plate cover on the front grill, but my state does not mandate/issue a front license plate and the grill. There are two big holes that cannot be covered by a license plate. Audi refused to replace the bracket with one that does not have the license cover despite their promise at the dealership that they would switch it. I am done with the brand!

My 2005 Audi A4 purchased in December 2004 fried in 2008 due to oil sludge. My sister drove the car from D.C. to Charleston home for Thanksgiving. It had been making strange noises so she took it to the Audi dealership to have it looked at before she left. About an hour away from Charleston, the engine blew. Audi did nothing to help us even though we had the car serviced at the dealership every 10,000 miles for this exact reason. They even still expected us to make our monthly car payments. We ended up getting a new engine put in because our new car repair service had found a 2005 engine that was pretty reasonable. The same thing happened again last Friday.

I bought my 2016 Audi Q5 in air day weekend of 2016 and Ive had 3 separate issues and now 3 recalls in the car within a matter of 9 months. 30 days in my sunroof started to rattle so bad it sounded like the glass was going to fall out. Take it to have it fixed and issues with getting a courtesy vehicle. I got a small A3 which is not comparable to a Q5... Just pointing out the obvious! Also they werent very thrilled about giving me a car even though that was used a sales tactic because that was one of the things I liked about their service and having a luxury SUV! They had to take out the sunroof and put something around the whole thing so it doesnt rattle. Issue was fixed and hasnt come back.Came back in probably 2 months after that when other random rattle sounds started to pop up. One in the back trunk area and one by the dash. Again did not want to give me a courtesy vehicle and again I had to insist. Im a mother of a small child, that time is precious to me and Im not sitting in a dealership with a small kid, no thanks! Trunk issues resolved, front they couldnt figure out and I hear from time to time. Now the final one is my window makes a high pitch screeching sound when I roll it down. Seems to happen in hotter weather. This is getting looked at this week and the 2 out of 3 recalls! This car has been plagued with problems and not the safe luxury SUV I spent $50,000 on to keep me and my daughter safe! Im so disappointed and disgusted with Audi and how Ive been treated. This is not the service or car I expected from them at all!! I called Audi America today and was told they couldnt buy my car back because it had recalls! Really? Why do you think I want to see it back to you, Audi??? Im not safe in this malfunctioning car you sold me!!! And now you dont want it back? SHOCKER! As for the dealership, they can care less and are so rude it blows my mind! Huge mistake buying an Audi! Shouldve stuck with Infiniti!

Purchased 2006 A4 used in March of 2007 with 8,000 miles. Two weeks after purchase, stranded, due to bad coils. The car is towed and repaired under warranty. One month later coils fail again - Im stranded again. Car is towed and repaired. After that the car is excellent mechanically for about 75,000 miles of meticulous, by the book maintenance by an outstanding independent Audi shop. Replaced plastic center console glove box latch twice. I finally improvised with velcro. Cmon Audi cheap, fragile, plastic latch on a 30K car! The Check Engine remained lit from 10,000 miles on. The dealer and Audi shop would diagnose every tune-up and oil change but the light would come back after 10 miles or so. At 60,000 control module for auto door lock and alarm failed - quoted $525.00 repair. I decide to manually lock and unlock driver door. All other doors locked properly but the alarm would not set without manually locking the driver door. 110,000 mile driver side power window actuator, $350.00. 115,000 oil sensor/plug $690.00. Next rear fuel pump located in gas tank, $800.00. Now the car is dead from camshaft failure at 135,000 miles. The dealer quote is $11,200.00. Ive driven many makes in 40 years of car ownership: GM, Honda, Acura, Lexus, BMW. None have left me stranded by the roadside. Acura, Lexus and Bimmer easily exceeded 150,000 miles. Im headed back to Acura or Lexus after I figure out how to dispose of the Audi A4 occupying a space in my garage.

There are so many Audi models like A3 R8 Q7 Cabriolet A5 TY SS, so many letter number variations to please the most picky buyer. The different letter number combinations each have distinct factors. I love the Roadster! It is so sporty and sleek with so many extras and small touches that make it distinct. The appearance rivals that of the most opulent cars. You can upgrade by package and any type of upgrade and personalization is available. You have the power to build your perfect car! I got mine fully loaded and was extremely happy with the package. The extras made the entire experience of owning and driving the car a most pleasant one. The car looks mid size to small but fits passengers very comfortably with tons of head and leg room. There is also plenty of storage space.

I had the Lexus 430 and 450. Best cars I ever had owned. In 2012 I made a switch to the Audi A8L and had nothing but issues for 3 years. Called the corporate office and they offered me a large credit to switch to a 2015 Audi 8L. No difference with this car as it has been nothing but a lemon with constant issues. I leased an Audi Q5 and had an issue with my lease payment and attempted to contact Audi using live chat and was told they could not help with any accounting issues to call the phone number to customer service. When I called I was put in the holding system for about 20 minutes. Got an associate and while he was helping resolve the issue he cut me off. Called back and was put back in the hold system for another 20 mins. Got an associate who took care of one piece of the problem and told me she needed to transfer me to a different department which she did. And guess what, yes put back in the hold system for another 20 minutes. One of the most frustrating customer service experiences EVER!

I bought an A4 a year and a half ago used but in incredible condition. Now for my confusing part. The car starts to idle rough, push the turn off button and keeps running for a few seconds. The engine light appears the next day. Ran code and came up timing. I then read it been quite the problem it seems. People having catastrophic engine failure at worst. I then see Audi has been sued.I contact the lawyer firm representing the plaintiffs (on the tensioner failure) and was sent a form because my Audi was one of the models affected. Was told as long as I bring it to an authorized Audi dealership it would be covered 100% and if brought to an independent repair shop $1500 would be covered. Well I called the only dealer near me 50 miles away and was told, Yes we are aware of the extended warranty and yes Audi will cover it. Okay great!!! Had the car flat bedded there. Got a call they received my car. Great then a service advisor called and said it would be a few days to a week to repair. I was told it a 10 hour job. I said okay. Then a few days later I called back because I had a question. The service advisor told me, I was just about to write you an email. I have some bad news. Audi will only cover 25% of the repair and need maintenance records. What!!!! What happened to you know all about the extended warranty and look forward to seeing your car. I said as far as the maintenance records they are all listed on Carfax. Was told they cant use that. (Why? Extended warranty companies use them along with Edmunds.) I dont know. Like I said Im confused completely. Its been over a week and havent heard a word back from anyone. I will say for the record the employees I did talk to were very polite but polite doesnt answer why I havent heard back about the status.

Bought a new Audi Q7 from this dealer 5/19/17. I am 55 years old and a professional in my field and felt like it was time for my first luxury vehicle. I did my homework and knew I wanted a luxury SUV. My choices came down to Audi, Volvo + BMW. I choose the Audi Q7 2.0 Premium Plus Package. Seemed like a wonderful car.... Fast forward to 3/11/20 without any warning the engine blows a rod through the engine block. The car has 85,375 miles on it and has been properly serviced on oil changes (every 10,000 miles). I go out of my way to take care of my vehicles with proper maintenance. I take it to nearest Audi dealership (Ontario) for repair/answers on why this happened. They suggest it be turned over to Audi (Corp.) for a claim. I also called Audi (Riverside) and the man that sold me the car (Dan) was no longer there, but once they heard I had started a claim with Audi (Corp.) they said there was not much more they could do for me. Audi (Ontario) offered me 20% off what is now going to be an engine replacement. My talks with Audi (Corp.) was insulting to me.....absolutely no help. They went through the motions of taking a report, but at the end of the day did absolutely nothing to stand behind their name on what has to be a wrong situation for this to happen. When I asked why they would not do more or stand behind what feels so wrong to me they said it was because I had my service (oil changes) done at my own mechanic and warranty on the car stopped at 50,000 miles. I understood the warranty at 50,000, but to have a violent engine blow without warning at 85,375 miles made no sense to me. My mechanic is certified and licensed with 35 years experience and used the Audi recommended oil. The Audi (Corp.) Rep Sean comes off as wanting to help, but in my opinion he gathered information to work it against you....beware. This infuriated me, but what choice did I have but to get the repair done. Audi did the repair at a cost to me of $11,903.82. This is not right as I still owe over 3 years in payments on this purchase and they could not give me a reason at the service department on why this happened. Consumer beware. If you have choices on your luxury SUV purchase dont let it be Audi if you expect support from them on an injustice. In hindsight, I wish I had chosen Volvo.

My purchase day was overshadowed by joy of buying a car, failing to see that Audi was not about the purchaser nor providing all 10s service. What has really maddened me today is I get a call I am thinking is a survey of my recent servicing, only to get hung up on, unable to express my concerns due to lack of professional communication. I thought I was saying yes to the rep saying all my information correctly. But after being hung up on, it left me wondering what was the call about. Not even a goodbye, thank you. Audi wants buyers to think they are for satisfaction but they only do things that is necessary just to say they have done it because they dont care if they have met the goal or provided customer satisfaction. I have been battling with them ever since my purchase but my concerns are not what they care to hear. I had to have a second delivery in which even direct, specified, unsatisfactory issues were not even addressed that I had pointed out in a written response. I wish I would have took my business elsewhere. Sometimes I wonder the true value of the whole deal.I wish there was another rep I could make a formal complaint to but I am going to keep long for that. It almost seems as if a $60,000 price means nothing to the dealer about committing to satisfaction. I have had a repair done and the console piece pop right off the next day, which clearly was not attached properly, only to have the same issue serviced again in less than 2 months. I see why people buy BMW and Mercedes. The service is better, the agreement is firm, and you are not judged. They make it known to please give us all 10s on the survey at Greensboro Audi but they are less than 6. I like my car but the way I feel about how they treat me, sometimes I just want to sell it back just to rid myself of the association with Audi.

The Audi FSI engines are subject to heavy carbon build up so beware before buying one. My issue that I have beside the carbon build up is the timing chain. My 2007 4.2 Q7 jumps out of timing, causing the SUV to shake at idle speeds, misfire, and turns on the CEL light that makes you fail smog tests. At this time, Audi service center has had the SUV for about 4 -5 weeks and still cant fix the problem. The entire engine has to be dropped to service the 4 chains and chain tensioners, etc. The dealership avoided dropping the engine and we recently found out were trying troubleshooting by moving can adjuster to the another side of engine. They gave us a loaner to use but just want our SUV back and fixed to smog for DMV, then get rid off. The Audi dealership stated that they had to recently service 4 engines that had timing problems and think they will see more as the Q7s age with miles. I just want to know if anyone else has had the same problem with the timing on their Q7 3.0 or 4.2. If so, please contact me. Want to hear your problem and how it was resolved. My miles is about 74,000 miles. I think Audi will need recall or repair or class action suit is needed. 2014 is coming and the 2007-2009 will hit higher mileage and should all have problems with these thin timing chains.

Overall, my husband and I have been very satisfied with the Audi vehicles weve purchased or leased since 2016. Weve owned/leased a 2017 A4, 2017 Q5, 2018 SQ5 and 2018 Q5. Unfortunately, what is very disappointing is Audis lack of customer support or loyalty. A few months ago, my husband unexpectedly passed away leaving me with two leased Audis. Understanding that we did enter into leases with strict lease conditions on these two cars, given my personal situation and that my husband and I had a good history with Audi, I still wanted to see if Audi could help me in any way as I couldnt keep 2 leased vehicles under the present circumstances. I had heard that some car companies are very helpful when a lease holder becomes deceased. Ends up Audi is not one of those car companies and they were of absolutely no help. The dealer told me they couldnt do anything and to talk to Audi Financial as they owned the leases. Audi Financial told me I could turn in one of the cars but Id still have to make the payments and that I should go back and talk to the dealer to see if they would purchase the car back. Long story short, I ended up buying out one of the cars and selling it through a car broker (at a loss but at least I no longer have to make the car payments), and will continue to lease the other car until the lease expires. At that time I will purchase something different as I am very disappointed in Audis lack of customer support or loyalty.

There was a recall on oil consumption on my 2011 Audi Q5. I took it to the dealership to have them check and repair, as soon as I got the information. I did this every time the oil light went on. They put in oil, reported back that all was well. Then, at time before this last one, ran a test, said to come back in 1,000 miles. This last time, the oil light went on and I went to service. They ran tests, now Audi says that I need a complete piston job at 77,804 miles. This is a modern car, how is it I should need a engine rebuilt at these miles. If there were really problems with this model, it should be Audi that fixes the car. Why would anyone want to buy an Audi with this kind of engine and the inability to fix their cars.

I suggest you dont buy an Audi vehicle. My wife and I were both Audi people. She drives a 2015 Audi Q5 and I have a fully loaded 2014 A6. Both vehicles have had their maintenance done at the dealership. We just had to pay to have her pistons replaced on her Q5 due to the oil consumption issue (Google it). They have known about this defect and have settled a class action suit on earlier models. Rather than fix the problem, they are taking the position that oil consumption is normal and they have noted as such in their owners manual. My wife was at the point where we had to add oil every other week. The repair was over 4K. I am at the point where I am adding oil to my A6 although much less frequently but I am concerned about what is going on in the engine.I feel Audi is not standing behind their product. For the amount of money we paid for these vehicles, these engines should last longer. The maintenance on these vehicles is not cheap. To have an engine need that kind of repair after 5 years is ridiculous in this day and age. For it to be a common problem where they have a specific oil consumption test protocol at the dealership just shows you how common this is. I am sure it would be a huge expense for them to admit fault and resolve these issues. They have been fined for lying about issues with their diesel engines and they simply cant be trusted. So as much as we loved our vehicles, we are done with Audi. We will never own Audis again and our next cars will be something more reliable from a more reputable manufacturer. Not only are we sharing our story on multiple forums, we are telling all of our friends and co-workers about our experience with Audi. I am certain they have lost way more than the 4K it would have cost to cover the repair on my wifes Q5.

I drive a 2012 Audi A6 SuperCharged. A few days ago I received a recall for fuel pump change, in that I called the nearest Audi dealership to make an appointment for the change on 01/26/2017. In the process of the change I decided to have an oil change. At the dealership everyone was very nice and took care of me within the process of the service and assured me that the fuel pump and the oil change has been taken care of and paid 140.27 dollars for the oil change. The biggest part me going to the dealership was because of the recall for the fuel pump because of the letter I received a few days ago. This morning 01/27/2017, after my daily routine coming home the car engine suddenly turned off. The worst part of this was that I was traveling on a highway, Palisades Parkway to be exact. On the dashboard of the car there were no indication of something wrong. The fuel gauge was indicated as that the car had fuel in the car. Not thinking about the amount of fuel that is in the car, I thought that there was something wrong with the engine itself. Thinking back from yesterdays service, the service was for the fuel pump recall. Thinking that it couldnt be fuel because I just came out of the service for this problem, but to be sure I called a friend to bring some gas to put in the car. Sure enough after adding fuel into the car the car started and I was able to drive to the nearest gas station to fill up.In all, this complaint is for the service at the Audi Town Motors of Englewood NJ where they specialize in Audi. Having trusted that an Audi dealership would know how to service an Audi car, was the worst mistake of my life. Driving a car in the highway, all of the sudden losing an engine and feeling a life or death situation was something that I wanted to share. Cars flying by me trying desperately to move the car to a safe place to park was something that no one should experience. I would like to formally put a complaint to the Audi Town Motors of Englwood NJ at 400 South Dean St Englewood NJ 07631. For the life or death situation I was in and amount of time I had to suffer for the mistakes that the Audi made, in a recall that Audi of America formally gave out to all of the Audi owners.

Called in to give them my transaction number and their office is not taking calls at this time due to high volume. No call back option, no hold option, and I get this message for a week straight of attempts. 2 weeks later I finally get through to the team, give them my prepaid transaction number and they said I should receive a zero account balance shortly. One month later I get a bill again without my prepayment applied. Again their phone number for Audi USA is not accepting calls. If this touches my credit which it has threatened to do I will have to seek a legal remedy. Ridiculous that I have to spend this much of my time and effort to fix their issues. I bought a A4 Quattro, manual transmission, new in January of 2012 from Hiley Audi in Huntsville, Alabama. The vehicle has had the water pump and one injector replaced under warranty and the PCV valve, various modules and gaskets O rings and other items replaced at my expense as well as the shocks that were leaking more oil than the EXXON Valdez. All of this occurred after the car was barely out of warranty. The service department has actually been quite good at diagnosing the problems associated with the vehicle however the expense of having those issues rectified is prohibitive. Now with a little over 100k miles on the car, its burning a quart of oil every 600 miles. No one at Audi notified me about the class action suit on these engines for excessive oil consumption however they did notify me of the extended warranty on the cam chain tensioner which after requesting the replacement they refused to repair even while the car was still under warranty! In short, Im stuck with $6K repair bill for replacing this dog of an engine. The people that work at Audi can only be as good as the management team and in short, the management team at Hiley as well as Audi of America are terrible. On a side note, I have an ACURA RSX that I bought new in 2003 with 200k miles on the odometer that doesnt use a drop of oil and a 1997 BMW 318is with a 168K on the clock that doesnt use any oil either. Basically Audi sells cars that are throwaways after 100,000 miles. In short, if you expect Hiley or Audi of America to stand behind their products, you will be sorely disappointed.

After owning Mercedes for 30 years, I bought an Audi in 2012. Big mistake. As much as I enjoyed my TDI, it was not possible buy another; Audi keeps changing their design for the worse; and my experience with the sales staff at two dealerships was enough to make me realize they do not care about customer loyalty. All they want to do is move existing inventory as fast as possible.

Brand new 2024 Audi A6 TDI - I have 6000 km and there are a few things that I dont like about the car but will not mention them as I should have been more detail-oriented when I tested the car. You should never rush into buying an car unless it meets ALL your safety requirements. What I am complaining about has to do with the brakes. They grab when you have almost stopped. They seem to stick when they are wet. They make a sound as though the pads and caliper are stuck. If you slowly pull out with your foot still on the brake, they make a God-awful sound. And that is when they are dry. When wet, you talk rep your life into your hands with these brakes. They really stick and the sounds are horrible. If I am wearing a soft sporty shoe, I still cannot bring the car to a smooth stop. Forget about it with firmer dress shoes. Its a horrible experience. Guess what? They just gave me a loaner, after I complained about the brakes. It had 400 KM on the odometer and the brakes did the very same thing? They told me that it had to do with some brake technology. I say nonsense. This appears to be an endemic problem. Its unpleasant and dangerous.

I purchased an Audi A5 Cabriolet after owning an Audi A4 Cabriolet. The A5 is built without a trunk release inside the car. There was no way to open the trunk other than with the key fob. If you happen to close the trunk with the keys inside, there is no way to open the trunk unless you have another key fob with you. I believe this constitutes at the very least a serious safety issue.

If you ever consider buying a used Audi make sure it has an extended warranty for as long as you plan on owning it!!! They break down often and when they do it will cost you a fortune to fix!! You will get sucked in thinking, Ok Ill fix this problem then I should be ok, then next month another issue and it happens every month, and it is major money every time!!! Last one I owned was an A6 with 70,000 miles, car book value is around $10,000 they want $6500 to repair a mechatronic, car will not shift out of park when its cold, no way to bypass it, and they dont even have the part!!! I now own a $10,000 piece of **!!!

I purchased a Certified Pre Owned Audi A8 with 17K miles. Audi claims they have a 300 point checklist and vigorous standards for accepting vehicles in to the program, for which there is usually a premium to pay. When I received my vehicle, it was immediately very evident, while the car was still on the transport truck that it had been in a serious accident. The entire drivers side of the vehicle had been repaired and repainted. There are still creases in the front and rear door. The paint is mismatched. Sand marks are still visible under the paint. The windshield was replaced with the incorrect windshield so the heads up display does not function properly. One tire had extensive damage and was plugged adjacent to side wall. I was advised not to drive the vehicle with that tire by our local Goodyear Tire Center. There is paint overspray on the instrument cluster and dash that simply will not come out. I can continue on - the car is a mess. The dealer isnt responding so I called Audi. My customer care experience with Audi has been atrocious. They have absolutely no concern that one of their dealers sold a car as certified but didnt check the simplest of items. The damaged tire alone should have precluded the car from being certified. The first person from Audi Customer Care that I spoke to ask me so what do you want Audi to do? Well, I guess that about sums it up. They fight tooth and nail to escalate the problem to management, and when they said they would - i had to call them back, Its been nearly three weeks. I advise you to stay away from Audi Certified Pre Owned vehicles. They program isnt worth the paper it is written on. Ive purchased CPO BMWs and Porsches in the past and had fabulous experiences. Audi just doesnt measure up. Im embarrassed that Ive allowed myself to be taken advantage of this way, and Im furious that Audi just doesnt care.

Audis are great Cars. Audi A6 is my favorite model and I wouldnt choose any other vehicle. They come equipped for the buyer, and it can be personally customized to each individual. The appearance is great and unique in its own way... I love the details in and out of the car. It runs great, comfortable and lots of room. The options for personalizing the Audi A6 is off the charts and very amazing. I love the great quality and everything else you can choose. The passenger capacity is 5 but Im pretty sure you can squeeze an extra body or two if you really wanted to... But I dont recommend it.

I continue to search for an affordable solution for my once beautiful Audi A4 under 100k miles as of today. The topcoat split open and the entire car looks like a jigsaw puzzle. Audi offers no help; no solution. The fix for me would be circa $1K. What could that possible mean to a rich organization like Audi. For me, however, because Im now retired, its not an option. I bought a 2011 Q5. I took it in every time the service light came on. There is not one scratch or worn-out spot in the interior. I washed it weekly. I babied my car. I really thought it would last me at least 10 - 15 years. Eight years later it is worth $7000 and it needs $5000 in repairs!!!! I never would have thought my Audi would have depreciated so much and left me so frustrated!! I have a friend that has a Jeep. She bought it in 2009 and it has 230,000 and she has never had a problem. My neighbor has the same car and she is having the same problems. AAAWWW I am so mad!

I had the Audi A8 and was great but the differential is a little stiff. Handling could be better, especially on corners. Engines new power is perfect and the style of car is great. Vision wise is perfect, really no blind spot. Its a great looking sedan (shape wise) and interior is awesome and colorful. Seating is also great. It holds 5 people comfortable (3-back 2- front). Its very roomy if a taller person is in it. Roof of car or height of it is perfect too. Arm rest is very helpful and the ac vent in front and back are on par. The different upgrades in interior is a must and comes in handy on the color car you want. Safety is tip top. Fast stopping with disc brakes is on a dime and the power of the engine is always there if needed. The sport one is even more beautiful and more power, if youre looking for that go getter, but the A8 will not disappoint you. Audi came a long way from what it was before. It could be better but it is on the uprise and will keep rising. Just an all around perfect car.

I got this Audi etron with the security that I would have access to 150kw charging stations that would charge my car in 30 minutes (this is what audi is advertising on their website and what the sales person told me). This was a lie and they dont exist on the East Coast. You are lucky if you can find 1 nearby. The fastest charging time for my audi when its on 26% is an 1hr and 15 minutes on the only supercharge stations that exist which are 50kw (and if few of these exist, only 15 hour level 2 charging stations). This means if I want to go out of states I can not because it will add an extra 5 hours just to charge the car because unlike the sales guy told me it does not give you 250 miles but 204 miles (this depends on how fast you drive, if you are going uphill, and if you turn on the AC). They also sold me the brand new vehicle with all 4 safety handles missing. I am not comfortable driving the car because if something as simple as safety handles was missed what else could have been missed. I reached out to Bryan who was suppose to be helping me from the customer experience department and he told me there is nothing they can do. The car works fine and the service department is fixing the handles. I informed him that they did not fix or check my car but only took pictures. I informed him that I wanted a copy of my the final results that he told me over the phone and I am yet to receive this in writing so I can pursue litigation. They are trying to wipe their hands on selling me $100,000 car. And now I will fight them in court and I wont ever get another Audi vehicle. Getting this E-tron is the biggest nightmare of my life and neither Audi or the dealership are trying to help me by taking this useless overly priced vehicle back.

My Audi A4 was well designed/attractive. It has a nice handling, smooth ride and black on black with black tinted windows. It also had a great black leather interior to match the slickness Of the black exterior. It is definitely a nice car and one of my absolute faves because it was very stylish, fresh, sleek and cool. It almost reminded me of a Batmobile because it was so nicely designed and had a lovely exterior. It was in the luxury world but not as expensive as a Benz or BMW. I loved the Audi A4 but wish it had more tech features. Also, it needed lots of repairs and had recalled items which was very annoying. So when it started to break down I was ready to get rid of it instead of pouring money into repairs.

There is a decent amount of variety available if you are looking for something that fits with the Audi image. Most people are familiar with the models Audi has put out. The car I ended up getting in the end was perfect and exactly what I was looking for. Its a pretty standard car size with a pretty standard passenger capacity. Carries four people comfortably, five if you stick someone in the middle in the back. Most of the extras I wanted came standard, and there were a few more things I hadnt thought about that were really appealing and I couldnt pass them up. I was able to personalize my choice in all the ways I had hoped to. Cars have gotten so fancy these days that its almost impossible to find a new car that doesnt come with a bunch of stuff standard that some people might not even want!

Audi ULTRA S-TRNC Gearbox FAILS weeks out of warranty on 38 month old A6. Bought an AUDI A6 Ultra S-TRNC July 2016. Have full service history with Audi. Approved garages spending over £35k, out of the blue Friday 2/09/19 heard a strange whining noise from the engine. Took it into Audi Stirling who advised Gearbox pump had failed and resulted in gearbox damage, it will cost £9117.60 to fix, neither the dealership I bought it from Audi Stirling or Audi UK all the way up to the Managing Director were interested and refused to help me. Just kept saying out of warranty. Their aftercare is appalling and when you investigate the Gearbox online the internet is littered with Ultra S-TRNC fails with no help from AUDI. Not even a warning light on the dashboard lights up no warning at all. Today I have written to WATCHDOG and to 2 national papers. Not what you expect from a leading car manufacturer!!!!

Audi USA told us that the motor blew because of a camshaft issue known to this vehicle and that all would be covered under warranty. We took it to 2 dealerships and they BOTH refused the issue. How can such a new car become completely worthless??! They want us to pay $15K to change the motor! We cant even drive the car. AUDI is a terrible company to work with, and not once did they help us. I recently leased a 2021 Audi Q5 Sportback and after riding it for a couple of hours I noticed that the engine makes a whistling noise at low RPM (around 1500) when accelerating. This is loud enough that you can easily hear it on highways. Moreover, the turbo makes a loud hissing noise whenever I accelerate. I also test drove 3 more Q5s and they all made the same noises (both whistling at low RMP and high hissing noise). So, I took it to the dealership to exit out of my lease and they said since this issue is happening on all the cars there’s no easy way to get out of the lease and they can buy back the car and the sum of money out of my pocket was 11,000 dollars. So, I called Audi USA and they said they cannot do anything with lease termination and there was basically no way for me to get out of the lease without losing too much money. They suggested I should take it to my local service to thoroughly diagnose this and I did. They gave me a report that quotes: Customer states at low rpm there is a whistling sound coming from the engine. Customer went on test with shop Foreman previously. Technician performed road test and confirmed whistling noise. Technician scanned vehicle and found no faults or DTC pertaining to engine bay. Tech was able to test drive identical model to compare and found noise is normal and from wastegate opening high speed/ low RPM under load. Vehicle is operating as designed. So basically, the engine of a $61K German made car makes different types of noises, and they call it operating as designed and there is no good solution that I was given by neither the dealership nor Audi USA. So, if you are sensitive to random engine noise (this is by far different from cool sporty engine sounds) Id steer away from Q5. This is my first lease from Audi and will never come back.

UPDATED 1/12/2021: I bought a brand new Q7 from Audi 3 yr ago with 5 miles on it. At least 2 of those yrs my truck would say down 1 quart of oil at least every couple months and I would always take it in to Audi then it started being monthly. It would read down 1 qt of oil and I still would take it in thinking that this was normal :(. So now my Q7 dash saying down 1 quart of oil. It’s been 3weeks and when I took it in to Audi I demanded to know why is this happening :(. I was informed that I need my engine to be rebuilt which will cost $19,000 and that my warranty just expired a few months ago @50,000. I complained BIG TIME then Audi said they will pay 75% but I’m responsible for $4980 which I still feel is crazy. How do I go from $89,000 new truck to a piece of junk in 3 years. I HATE I choose Audi to invest my money with cuz this was a waste. :(ORIGINAL REVIEW: I save my hard earn money for 5 years to be able to put a down payment on my Dream 2017 Audi Q7... I was so excited. I dotted all my is and crossed all my t’s just to end up with a Lemon. :( I did research on my Audi truck before purchasing it and when the time came as a single mother I was so excited to finally for the 1st time purchase me a brand new truck with only 3 miles on it... This new Truck quickly went from Dream truck to nightmare truck. :( About a month after I bought my new truck I was hearing a squeak from my breaks. I immediately called the dealership and they told me that was Audi new braking system and with a lil more wear & tear on my truck it would go away. But it never did. :( 3 months later I took my truck to Audi dealership because the squeak From my breaks got louder to the point when I leave for work @5 am my Neighbors could hear me which was so embarrassing as a 1st time new proud car owner... (I’ve had 5 used vehicles in my life all which were a piece of crap always need’n work... I thought my dream Audi truck would be different.)So when I took my truck to Audi they acknowledged that they can hear what Im hearing But at this time there’s nothing that could be done because their system is not showing nothing mechanical is wrong with my truck. So I’m like, You hear this loud ** noise But youre gonna stand here in my face and tell me nothing can be done at this time to keep putting wear and tear on my new Q7 and it will go away? And Audi was like YES.On another occasions I called and complain that the noise is even louder and someone in the service department told me the next time I drive my 2017 Audi Q7 put some speed behind driving then hit breaks real hard and that should fix the problem. Uhhh, I said, that don’t seem safe. I was pissed and felt like I had been had by this premiums upscale car company. So I call corporate and again to my surprise They ask me, What did the dealership say when you took it in? And in so many words the lady says, We can’t do nothing about your truck unless the dealership says it’s a problem. I couldnt believe my ears. I was so hurt. I felt like I was dealing with a slick talking used car salesman. So my complaints and taking my trucks back to different Audis hoping to get this problem fix went on till right now as I write this complaint. And I have yet to still get anyone at Audi to do anything to fix my problem. Its like I NEVER had a brand new vehicle because from the beginning It was a problem... My prayer is that someone learn from my mistake in putting your trust in where I bought my brand new 2017 Audi Q7 and where I’ve communicate with them about this noise on numerous occasions. Audi Financial located 2490 Skokie Valley Rd Highland Pk, IL 60035. I’ve also complained and Have taking my Truck on a few occasions to Audi Orland Pk 8021 159tg St Tinely Pk, Il 60477.As a single mother you hear all the time about how salesmen and dealerships take advantage of women and I do feel like that’s whats happening to me. When I’ve spoken to my Pastor, friends or co-workers about this issue Im having with my truck everyone is shock that Audi is treating me and my truck situation like they Have over this year. My Pastor told me, It’s not that something went wrong with your vehicle. That’s the big thing. It’s how youre being treated about the whole thing... with no respect or not standing behind Audi name. I will continue to write letters & complain about Audi till someone Listens and helps me... Thank you for your time.

I financed a 2006 A4 Used from Douglas Motors in Summit. In less than two weeks, the headlights keep flickering off. They change one and didnt change the other. While it was still under warranty, I decide to buy the second headlight and have it changed by my personal mechanic ( I also took pictures). To my surprise, they took a diagnostic from a Volvo and try to pass if off as my Audi, telling me to pay $700 and something dollars for a repair that doesnt belong to my car. I went to my personal mechanic plus Audi to verify. Audi told me they only deal with P codes, whatever that meant. So I ask for a copy of my original diagnostic, they said its wrong and not company policy to disclose the paper work. Right now, my oil pump failed at 64000 miles, and I bought the car 53000 miles. I found the Audi Q5 to be a very attractive car compared to other models that I had reviewed. It has a lot of features that I wanted in a car and the price was within my budget. I chose the Audi because of safety ratings that it has, it rides great and it had most of the features that I wanted. The car has GPS, which comes in handy often. It has WiFi and drives smoothly to be an SUV. The SUV has lots of power and acceleration is great. I enjoy the fact that it has Bluetooth and Sirius Radio as well as heated and vented seats. However, it does not have a convenient USB port and the GPS system took some time to program. I would change the location of the cup holders. I find it awkward to drive and use my cup holder because of where its located. I also wish I had steering wheel heater and that it had the in dash readout. But overall the Audi Q5 is a great car.

This review is about Audi Canada and dealers In Toronto. I purchased a 2010 demo S5 in 2019 and I have not had a consecutive 6 months or more without this lemon of a vehicle breaking down. From new transmission to all sorts of electronic fixes, the radio, buzzing sounds, catalytic converter, windows, clutch, coolant reservoir, etc. etc., the most incredibly annoying is that I am on my 7th (yes, SEVENTH) thermostat replacement - the first 5 by Audi and under warranty and the last 2 on my dime! When attempting to have them recall this part and or compensate me for 6 (and ongoing) failures of the same part, they basically told me theyre not responsible. Comically, one set of thermostat had to be replaced only days after Audi Midtown installed a new one. This was my first and last Audi! Never Again!

I am not an Audi customer, but rather a former employee of one of their stores. The store I was working at engaged in shameful practices towards customers and had such a weak employee staff it was laughable. Half the sales staff were not properly trained while the other half were vicious sharks wanting to have any and all customers landed in their hands to ensue an aggressive close. In other words, while looking at the car a customer may be with a person who has almost no knowledge of the product, but when the time comes to discuss numbers an expert at digging in your budget is presented. If any type of issue would arise that was questionable, they were experts at rearranging the conversation to avoid answering questions or resolving the matter. Most of the barely trained sales team were not even able to pretend that they had any decent level of manners or education. Multiple customers would complain about this but it was never addressed properly or effectively. The cars themselves? Lets just say that more than 30% had issues immediately after the sale. It is really hard to sell a car that a customer brings back the next day for service.

I bought a 2009 A4 2.0T Quattro and it was a problem from day 1. The car was consuming so much oil! At its worst it was doing 1ltr every 120km. When I took it to the Audi service shop, they blatantly lied to me after doing a service and check, and said nothing was wrong and perhaps I should buy a new sensor. I kept going back and kept getting the same spiel. Anyways the car engine has died and they are quoting me 10k to rebuild the motor. I told Audi Australia that I have done my research and am aware of the recalls, and class action lawsuit against them for the flawed motor but they are still refusing to do anything about it. Im left with a useless car, back on the bus and frustrated! Does anyone else have any ideas or helpful suggestions where to go from here??

Variety is great. The vehicle has hands on compatibility and an amazing stereo system stock inside with bass functions of a custom audio input system. Music is great for me and I loved that about the Vehicle. You cant go wrong with a classy, luxurious look. The vehicle has these looks plus the modernization of newer vehicles. The capabilities within its representation actually complements the vehicles abilities very well. I literally never see small cars with a lot of room but the Audi is made for small vehicle, great gas but holds more passengers than most cars and is about equal to an SUV passenger. Upgrading is Automatic. It also works very well for the car. I personally believe that if you want your dream car and get it drive until it Falls completely apart with this vehicle you would be driving for Eternity. They need to distribute a new vehicle call Audi Eternity.

Ive purchased a brand new 2013 Audi S5 Cabriolet and took delivery from dealership in middle of 2012 with 4 years/50k warranty. 22 months into the ownership (at 9,500 driven miles) car started to pull to the side and required a wheel alignment at a cost of over $550. I was told that although the mileage was low, this wheel alignment is considered normal wear and tear. Although I strongly disagreed, I ended-up paying for it. Last week while driving, my front left tire completely deflated. After removing the tire in order to replace it with a spare I noticed that the inner part of rubber is showing steal metal belts. Next day I took the car to dealership and was told that:a) Car needs another wheel alignment (it currently has 19,300 miles on it). b) All 4 tires are under 3/32 (as measured by Audi Service Consultant) and need replacement even though they are rated for 50k. Since the car is still under warranty and since this is very odd that another alignments is needed and that I also now need to replace 50k rated tires on a car with 19,300 miles on it I called Audi Corporate office and opened a Case # ** with request for FULL reimbursement of expenses.Unfortunately Audi decided to decline my request, citing wear and tear. Im beyond of being disappointed and strongly disagree that this is normal wear and tear. After consulting with my legal counselor who has advised me that I have over 90% chance of successfully getting Audi to reimburse me for wheel alignment and tires and therefore, in addition to filing this complaint with bbb.org I will also be taking Audi to Small Claims court and will publish verdict with details of the case on as many blog sites as I can find. After all Im certain that Im not the only customer with similar problem and will make other consumers aware of possible issues/pitfalls they may be facing if they buy an Audi! Lack of responsibility by Audi after selling a luxury and expensive automobile in unacceptable and will not go unchallenged.

I purchased the car used in Late August/Early Sept 2012 in New Jersey. The car had around 42k miles on it when purchased. Within month the oil light came on and I had it in. They topped it off (no receipt) and told me to watch it. Came in again Oct 19 and at that time they updated ECM software and replaced pressure regulating valve and front crank seal and started oil consumption test. They told me that the problem should be fine now. January 2013 EPS light came on and this time it was faulty steering column control module. Oil light back on March, April and every month since. They told me to just come in every time and they would top it off with no paperwork. Over the summer of 2013 the light started coming on every 2 weeks and I started topping it off myself because I couldnt keep running back there and getting into work late. I have had the oil changes done at the recommended intervals, always at the dealer. In Sept 2013 when the light came on again, I took it in and told them it had been coming on every two weeks for a couple of months. They said they would watch it again, and when it came on every two weeks, they did the oil consumption test for the second time. I had to pay for phase 1 and wait for the light to come back on which I did. I had it in two weeks ago for phase 2 and at that time the engine light had also come on. The car failed the oil consumption test and the catalytic converter needed replaced. I have an extended warranty which covers the catalytic converter, but they said the oil consumption issue was not and now I am over the original warranty. They were going to try to get Audi to do something but that was over two weeks ago and the oil light came on again. I had to wait for the catalytic converter to come in and they dont want me to bring it in until they talk to Audi. How long does it take to make a phone call? In the meantime, I am afraid of my engine seizing, which I have heard has happened, and I am tired of having to run to the dealer every other week. I have been in that place more than any other service department combined with all the cars I have owned. I am a 50 year old professional woman who takes meticulous care of my cars and this is absolutely absurd! My son is soon to get his license, and I certainly do not feel safe having him drive around in this vehicle. I have done research on this issue and I know there are a lot of unhappy Audi owners out there. I have been waiting for a class action suit to come about. Hopefully I qualify...Just a footnote...my daughter had a VW Passat when she first started driving and we had so many problems, the dealer took it back, and sold it at auction (He was a friend of the family though)! Sorry for the tirade, but I have reached my wits end! Today, February 22, 2014, I received notice that Audi was not going to assist in any way and the dealer may pay half of the cost to replace pistons and rings? Half? First of all half of what? I have no idea what the cost is going to be... I can only imagine its very expensive. Second, this problem has existed since the day I bought it and it was still under manufacturers warranty at that time. I don think I should have to pay anything for what is obviously a defective engine. I cant even sell the car in good conscience, but I am truly at a loss here and infuriated. Where is the consumer protection here? What are our options? Help...anyone!

Purchased 2020 Q7 for over 80K. Sever safety issues began around 1000 miles. Vehicle would abruptly stop on the highway. Had truck for 8 months, 5 of those months spent in service. After 3 conversations with their corporate services who kept telling me they were reviewing my file and get back to me in a couple of days, which never happen. They would call me back after a month. This happened 3X while my Vehicle stayed in service. Finally I hired a lemon law attorney. Audi quickly settled but why they not simply by my car back. Instead, their neglect cost them a loyal customer who has purchased 4 Audi. We got our money back due to the lawsuit and bought a Mercedes. Audi could have simply taken the vehicle back and put us in a new Q7 but instead chose to ignore our safety concerns. Not only did they lose our loyalty but lost a customer to a competitor. I was also ready to trade in my Audi A7 but now would never consider an Audi and hopefully people read this review and think twice before they think about purchasing an Audi.

My family has owned 6 VWs and Audis. The A4s were flawless, and the Tiguans worked well. The 2010 Q5 had mechanical and component issues and the new 2014 Q5 is getting gas mileage 10-20% below EPA sticker. Our overall mileage average is 10% below the city EPA value even though we live in the suburbs of Boston, and rarely drive into the city. I believe it is costing me $300-400 more per year in fuel. Audi says the car is operating within specification but I know what my mileage reading are. The Audi customer service people were professional when they delivered a finding I did not agree with. Otherwise the car works as promised. Have other readers had poor gas mileage???

Did you know that Audi has a monopoly on their key fob programming? Me neither. And, this mistake cost me almost $2000 and left me without a car for over three weeks. I admit that I didnt have a back-up key. Initially, I hired a Locksmith recommended on Audi USAs website. He was able to get in the car, setting off the alarm system, but was unable to program the key fob. I then towed the car to the dealer using an Audi recommended roadside assistance towing company. They blamed the Locksmith, that is recommended on their website, for breaking the comfort module. The Audi dealer and Audi Customer Care acted like they were concerned, they werent. Instead, they pointed fingers at me for seeking out and using an independent Locksmith, that was recommended on their website. The lesson learned is never, ever buy an Audi - unless you enjoy throwing money away, wasting hours of your time, and being without a car for over three weeks over a minor mistake.

Ive been purchasing Audi vehicles for the last fifteen years; primarily A6 Supercharged vehicles. Last March, I traded-in my 2016 A6 Prestige Supercharged for the 2021 A6 Prestige 55. From day one there have been issues. There has been nonstop rattling from the dash. The trunk opens without touching the button on the remote or truck latch door. Other times, when pressing the button on the trunk handle, the trunk wont open at all. I would have to take the key fob out of my pocket and press the button in order for the trunk door to open. That defeats the purpose of having the trunk door button on the trunk. This is another flaw of all 2019 and newer models. Numerous times when closing the trunk, we walk away and the trunk opens again without us touching anything!Same with the doors. Numerous times, we are unable to open the doors by placing our hand behind the door handle when the key fob is in our pocket. We have to take the key fob out of our pocket for the door handle to work. The dash rattle has been addressed numerous times, but never fixed. Its a horrible design flaw. No matter what the dealership attempts, it wont fix the poor design flaw. The bottom screen went out three times since purchasing the vehicle. The first time within two weeks of the purchase. Stay away from Audi vehicles from 2019 to current. Too many design flaws.

I got everything I was looking for. If I didnt like the appearance I wouldnt have bought the car. Being as I am single, it is not too important to me now. But there is plenty of room for passengers of all sizes.

I am so disappointed and disgusted with my 2009 Audi A5 that I cannot even express how bad my Audi experience is so far. I should have stayed with my Mercedes Benz. I took my car to the Audi dealership to get my window fixed and they actually caused 3 more things to break on the car and now I have to pay for it when the car is under warranty?? They put a faulty motor for my window which caused a short and now my xenon headlight is not working and they want me to pay for the headlight which they caused to break. Horrible experience with Audi service. Dealerships have incompetent and badly trained mechanics and customers need to pay for that. I will make sure I will disclose on every page I can to warn customers not to buy an Audi.

I had terrible problems like delay, extra charges, poor service, etc., while buying Audi Q5 from Pashankar Auto, Audi Pune, India. And I was promised by Audi Pune that they will compensate this with an efficient service. After 6 months, my car had problems with the accelerator automatically increasing after 3 hours of continuous driving and engine temperature raising to 100 degrees Celsius. I made a complaint to Audi Pune to get it checked and to be provided a courtesy vehicle as promised by them during purchase. But even after 3 days, they are unable to provide a proper courtesy vehicle and take the vehicle for servicing. First of all, how does a car like Audi Q5 - 3.0 TDI had this problem after only 3000 km of driving and how can Audi Pune offer this kind of lousy service?

Ive been a Volkswagen/Audi customer for more than 12 years. My very last Audi was a 2005 Audi A6 3.2 Quattro sedan. I have leased it brand new for three years then purchased at lease-end. I ended up selling it to CarMax last Friday, 5/25/12. For almost seven years of A6 ownership, with 5 year/50K warranty included and purchased an additional 5 year/75K extended warranty with expensive repairs in mind, it was one hell of a ride. It was pampered like a baby and well-maintained. Its body is built like a jet and runs like a bullet train until 71K came. On 7/5/11, I took it to my local Audi dealership due to ABS warning light. They advised to have the 75K service done at the time and I said okay and they went ahead and performed the 75K service. After an hour or so, my advisor came back and informed me that while running some software update, the Parking Brake Control Module crashed. Guess what? It had to be replaced. Wow! They added another problem to the existing problem and that has always been the case every time I set foot to any Audi dealership and I would always pay for it! So, the Parking Brake Control Module was replaced for $794 excluding the 75K service which was $775 for a total of $1569 in one visit. After almost a year, on 5/8/12, I took it to the same Audi dealership with 77K on it due to the intermittent PRNDS all highlighted in red plus the ABS light came back. The car stayed in the dealership for 3 days. My advisor said it needs a new transmission and a new ABS pump and module for a grand total of $16K. Cha-ching! Wow! Keep in mind that I still owe around $10K on the car. I was totally overwhelmed! I called Audi of America and asked for some assistance and offered 50% off the total repair cost. I still need to pay $8k for it. I felt that it wasnt enough due to the fact that Im still making monthly payments plus the car has been well-maintained and had low mileage for the year model which lead me to the question of How can it suddenly break just like that?On May 25, 2012, I went to another dealership to trade it in. They checked and appraised the cars worth. To my surprise, they said the cars transmission is in good condition and theyre willing to buy it for $10K. I was so surprised to know that the transmission was not even an issue and I would still get $10K for it. That very same day, 5/25/12, I took my A6 to CarMax for appraisal just to have a comparison. Guess what? They found nothing wrong with the transmission. The appraisal report said, Transmission good condition, etc. and they were willing to pay me $10K. Well, well, well, the truth came out. Right that very moment, I realized Ive been cheated on, lied to by Audi for so many years. That was the very reason why I sold my A6 to CarMax that very same day. I dont mind paying for expensive maintenance for I knew it was bound to happen since its a luxury car but the fact that Audi was a greedy and a dishonest brand, it wasnt worth keeping at all. Maybe I didnt even need to have that Parking Brake Module replaced after all. I wanted to share this grim experience I had with Audi to the consumers out there who are stuck in the four rings of hell or are planning to purchase it. Let this serve as a warning or lesson to you and to those who are still okay with Audi, good luck. Im glad I got out of it but it took me thousands of dollars to realize that I dont want anything to do with Audi anymore.

Yes. Hello! I purchased an Audi 5 Quattro in August. Recently, I was ready to turn my vehicle on when I was terrified by a loud banging on the glass. I screamed, thinking someone was trying to break into the car. I called Audis national line, and was told that they knew of no such incidents. I called my dealer, who said it had had a couple of like reports, but no breakage. The dealer just called back to say it would need the car through the weekend to loosen and lower the moon roof, as that was Audis international fix, and, indeed, breakage has occurred on some vehicles. I love my car, but I am very concerned, as I bought the car, specifically, to safely transport my granddaughter. Should I be assured by the fix? Will it compromise my vehicle? Where is Audis recall? I am seeking a proactive v. reactive response. Thank you!

I purchased an Audi used with 21,000 kms. Since owning it, I had some major stuttering during acceleration. The technicians had it in the shop no less than 5 times replacing parts or cleaning injectors. Just before warranty ran out, I asked if I had their commitment to repair this known problem before the warranty ran out - I had this in writing. Sure enough, even though I was promised a fifth time that it was repaired, the same issue occurred. Since this was after warranty the dealer had to use good will, but after a few attempts gave up and pretty much left me to deal with Audi Canada directly. Audi Canada suggest it was the wiring harness or computer that could have been making the issue and offered to pay 50% of the total cost. Even though this should have been covered under warranty in the first place, they would not budge and gave me an ultimatum that if I didnt accept the offer, they would retract it. Even worse, after agreeing, I asked if this would be a guaranteed fix. They said, No guarantee and no refund if this did not fix the issue. So, less for me. I will NEVER buy an Audi again. I love the look and feeling of the drive, but the customer service was absolutely brutal. Never have I been treated so poorly for such a top price item. I was basically speaking to a brick wall when dealing with Audi Canada. The dealer was great but had to abide by Audi Canada. Seriously, think twice before you buy an Audi!

I owned a Q5. I bought it for less than 2 years with numerous problems. First, engine consumed too much engine oil; and apparently, it was due to piston ring problems. Its sent to workshop for 3-4 times for engine oil measurement, and finally, I had to leave the car for more than a month and had to quarrel for courtesy car. Car was OK for a few months, and then last month, it has gearbox malfunction. I think its megatronic(?) defect. I was asked to wait for 3 days as part was supposed to come from Singapore, and I ended up waiting for 2 weeks. When they called, they tried to give me an appointment which was 2 weeks later, until I screamed at them!I sent in the car a few days ago, and again, I dont ever expect to have a courtesy car like I used to enjoy from BMW. Whats amazing? Well, car is under warranty, but sorry, no courtesy car. They changed the megatronic plus rendered the 60,000km service. I left the car for 1 week. I just called to report another 2 minor problems, cigarette lighter not working and seat adjuster not working. Their answer was You need to wait longer, because you report additional problems. if you want your car back, then send in another time for these two problems! What can I do? Its not the technicians fault but the companys! They only know how to sell but dont care the service! Typical management! The problem all started with them not caring or hiring more technicians to handle the service and repair. So many cars got problems, but so few technicians are working on them. There are so many Audi users who are facing the same problem, in case you dont know or dont care! Its not worth paying so much for this kind of experience.

Like many on here (including Javier - Dec 5, 2018), my Audi was expensive to maintain. I bought it new in 2010 and immediately it used to much oil. After many arguments with the local dealer (near Chicago), they finally got Audi America to cover the cost of fixing the issue (a piston ring issue they kept quiet). Somewhere north of 50k miles, the turbo went. Again, I had to press the local dealer and Audi was quietly fixing another issue they knew they had so they replaced the turbo. Then at 93k, my car would not start while out running local errands. I had to have it towed to an independent garage that works on Audi within the radius covered by my insurance road side assistance. This was a weekend but on Monday they called with the bad news that the tensioner on the timing chain went and damaged the valves. Their solution was to replace the engine with a used one, so I got the local Audi dealer involved. They said it was covered, so I spent $115 to have it towed to the dealer. I found out later this was part of a class action suit and the dealer wanted 8800 to replace the engine head. Audi said my warranty was voided, even though I did all my maintenance (65k, 75k,85k, etc) because I fell outside the time limit to do the maintenance (i.e. every 12 months), even though I drive few miles since retirement. I donated the car to charity and wrote a letter to the CEO of Volkswagen America, who used to be the President of Audi America. In all my years of driving and all of the cars/makes I have owned (many well over 100k), never have I had a timing belt/chain issue. Do yourself a favor and buy something other than an Audi or you do want an Audi, either lease it or trade it off before it is too old and you experience the heavy maintenance cost of owning these vehicles.

There were plenty of models for me to choose from and packages were varied. Also the pricing on models allowed me to consider different options. Many on site vehicles to test drive. Very sleek look. Regardless of the model they all were very well design. Loved the options of the interior. Leather looked great and tan leather was awesome. Also color variety was nice. Was excited to get heated seats and a navigation system for a great price. Seats an average amount of people. There was decent leg room in the back and the passenger seat allowed for quite a bit of room. Also enjoyed the mobility of the back seats.

Paid £28,000 for an Audi A4 that was used as the launch vehicle on the viewing nights when the car was shown to the public, so, 3 months old stuffed with techie gear yet the dab radio does not pick up a signal unless it is in the service bay??!!! My last A4, the previous model, and not quite 3 years old was fine, my brothers A3, his wifes A3, his sons A5 all bought from the same dealer at Silverlink in Newcastle upon Tyne and my daughters seat all have no problem but my £28,000 now 6 month old Audi A4 can only access analogue radio?? The garage was supposed to call me back tonight just after 6:00 but guess what, the lad who answered didnt seem capable of taking my phone number down after twice telling him what it was. What is the point of paying premium prices for a so called premium car when all you get is back street garage services? Cant see my family buying from these again. (Five cars in all.) Think Ill have to contact some in Ingolstadt.

On March 17, 2012, I purchased a new 2012 Audi A7 from Fletcher Jones Audi in Chicago, Illinois. I live in Saint Louis Missouri. I had not seen the actual vehicle that I was purchasing because the dealership was going to ship the vehicle to me. While I was waiting on them to bring the vehicle from the garage, we completed all of the paperwork. When I finally saw the car, my husband, myself and two other people that were with us noticed all of the white spots/blotches all over the car. The car is black. The salesman assured me that by the time they shipped the car to me, they would have all of these paint issues corrected/removed. The sales contacted me on March 22 to inform me that the car was being delivered on Saturday, March 24. I asked him if all of the white spots had been removed from the car and he stated yes, that the car is in perfect condition. The truck driver delivered the vehicle to me on the morning of March 24th. Once the car was removed from the bed, both my husband and I immediately noticed that the same white spots where still all over the vehicle. We informed the driver and contacted the salesman on the spot while the truck driver was still there. The salesman, as well as his boss and the manager of the dealership all assured us that the issue would be handled and corrected and not to worry, that they would do whatever it took to get the paint problem corrected. The salesman stated that he looked the car completely over before putting it on the bed of the truck and that there were absolutely no spots on the vehicle. He said the transporter must have done something to the vehicle because it was in perfect condition when it left their dealership. For the next two weeks, my husband and I spent time calling and emailing the dealership to find out what they wanted us to do and how they were going to fix the problem. Finally, they instructed us to take the vehicle to a local Audi dealership here in Saint Louis. We made an appointment and took the vehicle to Plaza Audi. They looked at the vehicle and tried to do some minor corrections and that did not work, so they told us to bring it back another day so that they could keep it and do a completed detail and buff and try to buff the spots out. They kept my car for three days and when I picked it up, they informed me that they were not able to correct the issue and that we they would recommend we take the car to their auto body/collision center to see what they recommend. We made an appointment and took the car to Plaza Collision Center. They then completed an estimate of what the car would need to have done in order to get rid of the spots. They said that the spots were in the paint so the hood would need to be re-painted and the other areas of the car they could buff the spots out. They gave us everything in writing and told us to get with Fletcher Jones to see how they wanted to proceed. For the next month, we tried to contact Fletcher Jones and the service center guy at Plaza Audi told us that he had been trying to contact Fletcher Jones to see how they wanted to proceed. In the meantime, I went ahead and made Audi America (the parent company/owner of Audi) aware of the issue and got them involved. After Christine at Audi America made several phone calls to both dealerships and collision center, she instructed me to contact the collision center to set up a date for repair. When I contacted Ben at the collision center, he informed me that he was waiting to see how Fletcher Jones wanted to handle the payment of the repair. I waited about a week and still did not have a date for repair. Christine then contacted me back and told me that everything had been squared away and that I should take my vehicle to the Plaza Collision center on June 11, 2012. I took my vehicle in and the collision center told me that they would be done in 3-4 days. They gave me a Chrysler Caravan as a loaner vehicle. On June 14th, I contacted Plaza Collision to see if my vehicle was ready and they told me that it was not ready. Ben ** promised me that once I returned from vacation on June 23rd, my vehicle would be ready. On June 25, I contacted Ben and he told me that he did not know the status of my vehicle and that he would call me back. He never called me back. Finally on June 27th, he informed me that they had not even started on my vehicle. He told me that they had not done anything to my vehicle. I told him that I was coming to get my vehicle that same day. When I got my vehicle, my husband and I noticed that in addition to the white spots, I now have brown swirl burn marks on my hood from them using the machine and trying to buff the spots from my hood so much instead of just re-painting it. Christine contacted me to ask if my vehicle had been repaired to my satisfaction and I informed her of everything that had happened. She told me that she was going to escalate my issue to her boss because it had gotten to the point where I had been more than patient. A week later on July 5th, I was told that the collision center would not be able to repair my car until August 9th. I was told by Nick, who is the service manager at Plaza Audi, and Christine that I would bring my vehicle in and that I would be given an Audi loaner vehicle not a minivan. Audi also agreed to compensate me one notes car payment for all the time, headache, frustration, mental anguish, etc. that I had suffered during the last five months. I took my car in to the dealership this morning and was informed that they did not have any Audi loaner vehicles but they would deliver me an Audi loaner vehicle by the end of the day. At the end of the day on August 9, I am being told that they do not know when they will get an Audi loaner vehicle and that they will call me when they get one. I now have my car returned back to me and the repairs have still not been made.

Audis are very difficult car, expensive and confusing electronics. They have a variety of cars different models and styles if you’re looking for a couple or if you’re looking for a family car. And whats best is Audis are great in snow. Their car features and appearances are great. Couldnt ask for a nicer looking car, very luxurious. Styles are really different and unique. To personalize and upgrade, there is not much you can do with these cars. Its all computerized. Nice though if you can definitely suggest it. There is plenty of space for plenty family. Nice leg space, there’s lots of capacity. Its just me I have no kids but when I have my nephews or sisters with me, perfect space.

Bought a certified pre-owned 2009 Audi A4 Quattro 2.0 in December 2010 and within two weeks the oil light came on. Brought it back for service, thought it was a simple oversight and that it had been fixed. Little did we know then how that yellow check oil light would come to dominate our lives, limit our use and enjoyment of the car, and empty our wallets. Within the first three years we had the car serviced so many times for excessive oil consumption that we finally took to the internet and found we werent the only ones with this issue. After 43,000 miles and countless service visits, we demanded that Audi rectify the problem and (because the car was still under warranty), they replaced the pistons and rings at no cost.Fast forward two years to December 2015, and, at 91,000 miles (just outside of warranty, of course) an ominous turn off engine immediately and check oil warning appeared on the dashboard. Brought the car in for service right away and found that the engine had a leaking intake manifold. Dealer replaced manifold at cost of $1K. One week later, check engine light went on. Brought the car back to Audi and this time, the water pump needed replacing (another $1K). A few days later, that ominous turn off engine immediately and check oil warning appeared again. Brought the car back YET AGAIN. Service department informed us that they had found metal shavings in the engine pan, indicating that engine parts were grating and the engine was compromised. They told us that we needed an entirely new engine, at a cost of almost $11,000!! We were livid. Dealer went to Audi North America and they offered to pay for half. Now we are stuck with a dead car and the prospect of having to pay another $5300 (for a total of $7300 since December) to make what is now a lemon drivable. We believe that Audi should take full ownership of this, as they replaced the pistons and rings on an engine that they knew was faulty. And, we are left wondering if the replacement of the intake manifold parts somehow compromised the engine, resulting in the engine failure (the timing of the engine failure was just a bit too coincidental). We bought this car for what we thought was exceptional Audi performance, reliability and service. Its unbelievable to see here how many others have suffered the same substandard customer service for what is clearly an inferior, shoddily manufactured car. Perhaps theres another class action suit against Audi- this time for engine failure- waiting to be brought to light. My hope is that by writing this, others will steer clear of all Audi cars, both new and used. Maybe once Audis bottom line is affected, theyll start paying more attention to quality control and the real people who drive their cars.

I have a 2014 Audi Q5 and recently for no reason whatsoever, the power steering failed and nearly caused an accident. I mentioned it to my local Audi service department and had them look at it while it was in for 3 other recalls. They agreed that the power steering was not responding and it would have to be replaced. I explained to them that the car is barely driven and has never been in an accident. And I find it unacceptable that a car company that has built a reputation on handling and drivability would have a complete steering failure at 40k miles which they informed me is just out of warranty. I was told at my local Audi dealership that It would have to be paid for out of pocket so I called Audi customer support. This was over 2 weeks ago and since then I have gotten no clear information on the issue. I have been through 3 customer service reps and they have changed stories multiple times. The second to last time they informed me that there was a program that the local Audi dealership has to help in situations like this. So I went back to Audi only to find out that they have no such program and they werent even told about this from the customer service rep. I was supposed to receive an answer almost a week ago and it keeps getting pushed off. At this point I still can not drive the car or else risk getting into a serious accident. I also want to point out that I did research and found out that the SQ5 version of this Audi has a recall on the same issue. I further researched it thinking that the steering system was different only to find out it is the same part number. This is clearly a defect and Audi should be responsible for fixing it. I cant even get a clear answer as to what it would cost since the dealership has changed the price on me multiple times. At this point the car cant be driven and I dont see why I would need to spend up to $3,500 to replace the entire power steering rack on a car with low miles that has been well taken care of. I also dont trust the service department at my local Audi since they informed me that my brakes and rotors need to be changed yet I just had them done about 1,500 miles ago. I am at a loss with Audi and just want the steering replaced so I can safely trade this in on a different brand vehicle or sell it out right. I dont feel safe driving it and I wouldnt want to sell it to someone else as is. If this car is driven it will cause a severe accident.

BRAND NEW 2017 Q7 BRAKE NOISE AT 6500 MILES AND THEY CANT FIX IT. There are videos reviews and complaints all over the web on this same issue. All Audi USA states is they are working on a fix. How long does that go on for until they step up and fix the issue. They wont fix it because it will cost them too much. Every time I go to dealer service I get the same (its normal). It is not normal to have a constant squeal from pads. Very disappointed that the brand would do this to their loyal customers. My emails and case numbers from Audi USA are long and continue to give me the runaround.

A4, A5, A6 models. This is a luxury sedan wth lots of great features and an upscale interior to match the beautiful exterior. It drives smoothly, and is very low maintenance... There is no need for frequent repairs and no major issues to worry about. The Audi A4 is an upscale sedan with a beautiful, sleek exterior, and a well-designed interior that makes the cabin surprisingly spacious for a car its size. Theres no lack of attention to detail given to the interior cabin, with its wood and leather finishes. This sedan, though it appears to be a smaller sedan, is surprisingly spacious. The interior cabin comfortably seats five passengers, and even those who are taller still have enough leg room to move around in. Even though the car comes loaded with many features that would be upgrades on other brands, the Audi A4 offers its buyers a variety of options for personalizing and upgrading their vehicle, such as engine power, sunroof, and interior finishes.

I have a 2008 Audi A4 with oil consumption problems. It burns one quart of oil every 1,000 miles. The dealer said that this is a common problem and it has no solution. They said that I would have to get used to it. This is extremely common in the 2.0T engines throughout Audi and VW. There are many websites and forums dedicated to this topic. I am a new Audi customer and definitely did not expect this company to be so incompetent. First off, the app is a joke. It doesnt really do anything useful so we never use it. I also had a hard time connecting my Audi account to Audi Financial Service in order to set up an auto-pay. I tried numerous times but the website seemed to have an issue all the time. When I called the customer service to get help, there was a long wait about 20-30min in a Thursday morning around 9am PST, which shouldnt be the busiest time of the day or the week, and the representative who came on the line was very disrespectful and not helpful. He sounded like a high-school kid who wasnt motivated to do anything at all. So the only way at this moment to set up an auto-pay is to fill out the paperwork and mail it to Audi. Unbelievably old school. Ive only owned the car for 3-4 months but already regret it. Ive owned a few cars in the past from different makes, but Audi is definitely the worst.

Audi offer sports cars, they are very nice and comfortable. Has a clean and very nice look. Audi probably makes the best look for a car thats why it makes me so happy. Basically on all Audis, they have real nice spoilers. Usually they are low level ones and they make the car in general look very good, the engine as well. Most Audis carry 2 passengers, but the Audi I drive thankfully has 4 seats, so Im not affected by this. Most people are though. Sadly, I have close friends that have a 2 seat Audi. However, the workers were very cool. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to buy a new car or a car from Audi.

I purchased a 2018 Audi Q7 and was pushed by Grapevine Audi to finance for at least 4 months to get a rebate and the dealer get an incentive from Audi Financial. Long story short I made the first payment of $10,000 which they lost and now claim they returned. They say the check was cashed...this was an electronic bank transfer made by my bank and the entire story from Audi makes no sense and they cannot prove how they returned the funds. This is an Australian review of a sale conducted in Australia and this matter is due to be hear at a tribunal hearing later this month, but thought I would share my experience as l am sure, well l am certain it happens by default to many others. Purchased the 2013 Q5, fully optioned for around $90K AUD, as a tempter to buy from this dealer, they gave me the Audi Corporate Package - (3 years free service and invitations to corporate events, race days, family days etc.). Noticed in the first 3 months when I went out on long drives, the Sat Nav was giving out inaccurate road directions, wrong time estimates for arrival, in some cases up to 2 - 3 hours difference. On a highway that a bypass built some 4 years ago, when I was on that bypass, it didn’t exist on my maps, according to the Sat Nav on was driving on farmland, but clearly I wasn’t - it was obvious the Sat Nav had software that was many years old. When I went to book my first service - I was told that the first service was going to cost me $1000 (this was some 9 months after I purchased the car), I said NO I get free servicing for 3 years, he said NO, I can’t see anything, so you have to pay, so I showed him my Audi corporate card and then he says, oh yes okay, it’s free. I tell him that the Sat Nav needs an upgrade because it’s so old - he says, that will cost $800 - I tell him the car is brand new when I purchased it - in fact it wasn’t even on the lot, l was waiting for it to arrive from Germany, that’s how new the car was - he said, it’s a spare part and so you have to pay $800.I speak to the sales guy who sold me the car - he sympathizes, says he will see what he can do, but invariably the expectation is the consumer needs to pay - I never hear back from him. I call the General Manager of the dealer and he bluntly states, it’s a part you have to pay for it - that they sold the car as is from the manufacturer. So I call Audi Australia and they say it has nothing to do with them, that the sale was between myself and the dealer and I have to take it back there.I call Australian consumer affairs, they send out an officer and he negotiates a compromise that I pay 50% of the retail price of the upgrade - I refuse. Matter is before a tribunal hearing later this month. I call Audi Australia and say in 11 months, I have never been invited to any Audi event, any family day, race day, corporate function, yet it was part of the purchase price of the car and influenced where the car was purchased from. Audi Australia calls back - oh yes we see we didn’t do that, well we will make you a priority for the next event. To this day, priority has not equated to definite, nor have I been told what event, or when it’s at - nor by virtue of the fact that I hold a valid corporate Audi pack, that I should be invited to attend that event anyway so nothing was been offer to compensation the last 11 months - so now the hearing will be on 2 counts. I am told by Audi, that Audi upgrade their software on the Sat Nav every 4 years and I purchased my car on the 24th of December 2013, and the global upgrade happened on the 14th of Jan 2014, so it was just bad luck for me.One of the many claims is that a product was sold that was not fit for purpose and the selling a car as is, doesn’t apply to a new car, it needs to be fit for purpose and the reasonable intention of purpose. I would never of thought a company like Audi would conduct itself in the manner above, I am quite appalled and hence the litigation - this issues themselves aren’t big issues, but the conduct of both the dealer and the corporate company are appalling and rely on the fact that over here, people may think it’s too expensive or not worth the time to take them on - well game on Audi! Having said that, the Q5 is a fantastic car, one of the best I have ever had, but will never buy another one again!

I drive a 2012 Audi TT RS. Life got in the way and the vehicle sat on my driveway (not running) for 540 days. During this time not a drop of water entered the vehicle cabin. BONE DRY!!! I finally got around to bringing the vehicle in for service. They replaced the battery, flushed the A/C, brakes and performed an oil change. They also performed an exterior and engine bay detail. Within 10 days the vehicle had 3 inches of water in the passenger side floor.I immediately called my dealership, Audi Sewell North Houston, and their response was, Oh, yeah I know what is going on. This is common on the Q5. Apparently there are two drain holes in the engine bay just below the windshield to allow water to drain out of the engine bay. These drains WERE NOW CLOGGED. The dealerships response was that they must have been clogged before. I find this assertion ludicrous as it SAT ON MY DRIVEWAY FOR 540 DAYS WITHOUT A DROP OF WATER IN IT!!!I took the issue to their GM, Jackson **, and he basically told me the exact same story I got from service. Which means he did no actual work and just regurgitated what he was told from service. I then took the issue to Jacquiline **, managing director, who did not get involved. I then took the issue to Audi of America who again repeated what the GM and service tech told me. So, I am stuck filing a claim with my insurance and having a vehicle with diminished value to flooding and both Sewell and Audi refuse to accept any responsibility. If you value your money I would stay as far away from both Sewell and Audi as possible.

I bought my dream car, a 2014 A7 TDI, at the beginning of the year. With 8500 Miles, it stalled in the middle of the road, and would not restart. My first concern was that maybe my husband put in unleaded gas instead of diesel. After calling the Audi Roadside Assistance (which I will never use again) and waiting for 2 hours for a tow truck, my car was finally taken to the dealership. They do not know what is wrong - it wasnt the gas. I am so frustrated. They need to keep my car for a week to diagnose, and longer if necessary. I do not want my car back. Im leasing an A4 and paid for a portion of the 36 month lease up front. In April 2017, I asked for a letter stating the current balance of the lease payments. I was sent a letter stating that I owe about $3400. I made a payment of $2400 and common sense dictates that the remaining balance would be $1000. But when I followed up in May 2017 (one month later), Audi said the remaining balance was actually $1300 after the $2400 posted. They raised the balance by $300 and nobody can explain why. Every time I call to inquire, Im placed on long holds and then hung up on. A supervisor finally reached out to me and said that he has no idea why there is this discrepancy but I owe $1300. No explanation or attempt to come to a solution. After I pushed, he hung up the phone as well.Obviously theyve made a mistake somewhere but nobody wants to figure it out. Now I dont know how much I owe and if the balance will continue rising with each payment instead of dropping. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Stick to BMW.
