I own a 2015 AUDI A4. I have enjoyed the car and like the ride very much. However, after a little more than 4 years since I bought the car new, there is a severe problem with the air conditioning system. Since I live in South Florida, its essential that this works. The AC evaporator failed and needs replacement. The cost quoted me by AUDI in Naples to repair this was $4740 plus tax. Most of this cost is due to labor since it is extremely difficult to replace. The service tech explained to me that the part itself is a little over $1000, the rest is labor cost. This charge to me is due to poor quality on the part of AUDI. This part should not have failed after only 4 years. In addition, the car is poorly designed if it takes a skilled AUDI mechanic so many hours to repair. The tech said that the entire dash needs to be removed. Im very dissatisfied. Im not about to pay this much. What will fail next and and what price to repair it? I will have to get rid of this car since it is useless after less than 5 years. Needless to say I will not be buying an AUDI to replace it.

Bought my wife a Q7 and were really enjoying it. It has a lot of great technology. Our son just got his learners permit and has been practicing with my wife in the passenger seat. We have a clay pot near the corner of our garage door that hides the garden hose. My son misjudged the 90 degree turn from our driveway into the garage and hit the pot. His speed was less than 5 miles per hour. The pot suffered no damage (if you get really close, you can see that there is a small stripe of the glazing that has lost a little of its sheen). The Q7, however, fell apart. I had no idea that the bumper and several of the front panels are only held on by clips. Also, some of the electronic sensors for the active cruise control were knocked out of adjustment. Total cost to repair the very fragile Q7 was $4,656.47. I cant imagine how costly the damage would have been if the Q7 was actually involved in a real accident with another vehicle. This is beyond a glass chin. Would its passengers even be safe considering that it falls apart so easily? Consider yourself warned and stay far away.

I purchased my first Audi A6 in May of 2018. It was a brand new 2018. I noticed two bubbles protruding from the right rear door and paint peeling beneath it along the internal surface structure. I called Audi and sent numerous pictures. I told them to take the car back and that I wanted a replacement. They refused to give me another car after it was determined that it was indeed a manufacturers defect. I was given two choices by them, to sue or get it fixed. I did not have the money to get an attorney so I was forced to fix a new car that was sold to me with defects. I will never again buy another Audi. Audi USA is horrible! The customer advocates are a joke. This is the worst experience I have ever had with buying a new car. Audi does not believe in Customer satisfaction.

In winter 2016 I have bought brand new 2017 Audi A4 Premium Plus for 47k. It was this new version with cool digital gauges and new technology. It was rather exciting. I was thinking at the time that this small luxury sedan was worth the money. Then in December 2020, I got the message that my car doesnt support any more Google maps and from December 31 will stop working. Really after 3 years my car is obsolete and exciting feature that I have chose this car for is no longer available. I have contacted dealerships right away to see if I can upgrade my car, but answer was no, and I should probably get a new or newer Audi in order to have that ability. So 4 years after I cough up 47k for this Audi and planning to keep it in the family for longer, this car lost one of features that was their top selling point. I had a numbers of Audi cars so far in my life A4, A6, Q5 and Q7. I can tell you one thing. I will never ever again buy a Audi. It is like throwing away you money for something that will be obsolete in 3-4 years. Really sad from company that I had a the time on top for my vehicle needs.

I have a 3 three-year-old Audi a4 with 50k kilometers. Brought car back to garage at 35k for rear suspension noise and was told problem was solved. Car was purchased new. Noise came back into rear suspension and when I brought car back it was out of warranty. I was then told I would have to pay 130 euro per hour for car to be looked at and they didnt know how many hours it would take. I was scared off after being told there was a car in for a noise and already they had clocked up 38 hours and the problem was still not solved. I will never buy one of these cars again. I have had BMW and Merc and Opal and these cars are just not up there with these other brands. My experience was I paid quality price but did not get the quality car.

I purchased a new 2019 A8 - and there is a problem with the software on the engine control module. 2004 Audi TT - The heat wave we experienced this past summer caused my rear window to separate from the convertible top. I have attempted numerous ways of repairing it. All have failed. Audis solution is an entire new top at $4600. Corporate became involved and Commonwealth Audi offered a 20% discount, which is still not affordable. Mercury Insurance refused to pay for it stating this is normal wear and tear! The car was stored in a garage and the top was used maybe 10 times in a 3 year span. The car cost $28,0000 which was paid in full and is 10 years old. I expected the quality of an Audi to outlast much longer than this. I am now driving it around with a playground ball holding it in place. Most recently its running on hot now and will need repair. It has been one thing after another and I am extremely unhappy with this car and the responses I have received from both my insurance company and Audi.

I am not an Audi customer, but rather a former employee of one of their stores. The store I was working at engaged in shameful practices towards customers and had such a weak employee staff it was laughable. Half the sales staff were not properly trained while the other half were vicious sharks wanting to have any and all customers landed in their hands to ensue an aggressive close. In other words, while looking at the car a customer may be with a person who has almost no knowledge of the product, but when the time comes to discuss numbers an expert at digging in your budget is presented. If any type of issue would arise that was questionable, they were experts at rearranging the conversation to avoid answering questions or resolving the matter. Most of the barely trained sales team were not even able to pretend that they had any decent level of manners or education. Multiple customers would complain about this but it was never addressed properly or effectively. The cars themselves? Lets just say that more than 30% had issues immediately after the sale. It is really hard to sell a car that a customer brings back the next day for service.

I have a 2015 Audi A3. I am the only owner of the car. It has 42k. Last week while driving to work, I felt a weird shake, at first I thought I had a flat tire. But I quickly realized that I wasnt that lucky. (insert sad face emoji here). The check engine and EPC (I may have those letters wrong) lights were on. Long story short the car was flatbed towed to the dealership. They gave me a loaner (Q3) and I was on my way. Later that day, they called and said my car had a bad fuel injector. They ordered the part and said my car would be repaired the next day. The next day, I was called and told that while replacing the fuel injector, they discovered that a piston had exploded! They called it a catastrophic engine failure. That is still a little hard to digest. Fortunately, my car is still under warranty. Audi is replacing my whole engine. I own another Audi and I am a fan of the brand. I will comment again when I get my car back, sometime this week. Hopefully, I will be happy.

AUDI Q3 2016. Since the day I leased this vehicle, I am getting all these troubles and also got a safety recall. DAY 1: BRAKES went BAD. FIXED at Dealership at ROCHESTER HILLS, MICHIGAN. (Dealer said it was may because of bad shipment). And there was no compensation given to me. DAY 180: Safety Recalls. FIXED at Dealership at Ken GARFF, LEHI, UTAH. (Here was no compensation again). DAY 200: Tire Flats and Tire Expert (Not from AUDI) points out that Tire has torn out Heavily. Looks like Tire was not a quality one. Day 250: Windshield Breaks due to Temperature Pressure. (Wow what a quality again). DAY 260: Another Tire Burst in middle of road which should have almost lead to a major accident. (THIS HAPPENED SUNDAY 02/05/2017). (Total Miles 11500).Currently it is running on SPARE tire. I am just scared to touch the vehicle again. I have driven so many Cars and been driving for more than 5 years. But never had such a GREAT experience. That too with a NEW car which is still under warranty. DID AUDI has provided me very low quality tires and other accessories. These are costing me a ton to get it repairs... Does AUDI has nothing to do with it. This is ridiculous that after paying thousands, AUDI gives you such a quality car. WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW. If something happens to me, who is responsible. (I have good driving record since day 1).

It stands out from the other cars because it is one of the kind design, there is no mistake it has its own style. I am happy with it because it meets my need and want. I enjoy the smooth ride it provides and my passenger gets a special treat from riding in this car. After reading these stories, I had to write about my experience with a new 2014 leased Audi A5. About a month after I leased the car, it began to make a loud rattling noise every time I accelerated. I brought the car in 4 times over the last 3 months to try and resolve this issue. I have had a loaner vehicle for 21 days. I have been in constant contact with Audi USA customer service (800-822-2834) regarding this so that my file stays updated. After bringing it in for the third time, I requested that they replace the vehicle. They looked into it for me, told me to test drive cars that I would be willing to take in its place only to tell me a week later that my request was denied. At that time I had just picked up the car from its 4th trip to the dealership for service. Now I am going after them through an attorney that specializes in CA lemon law. Audi customer service is DISGUSTING. I get that a man made car can have issues but its how they handle it that is the problem. Do yourself a favor and give your money to BMW.

This car will last me forever. Great high end car. Comes with all the bells and whistles like your butt to be warm. Love the leather which means I get heated seats. The sunroof is so great to have even if you only need a little air. Automatic windows are great. Could use a few more upgrade but for the most part I am happy with what I have and could not dream about getting rid of it anytime soon. There is plenty of leg room for everyone. There is even 3rd row which is nice when you ride the extra room. I would never get rid of my car.

The models that Audi sells are good for driving and make everyone happy especially me. Anyone who needs a car should buy it. I love my car and it is the best ever. It is so fun to drive. I think I would never ever want to give it up for anything at all. The appearance of this car is very good. It has just enough roundness that anyone would like but has enough electronics inside the car that anyone who is technological will love it. You can have any kind of upgrades you want. If you want wifi in your car you can have it. If you want fancy tires you can have it. Heated seats yep thats featured too. Its really the Shangri-La of car dealers. The capacity is good. You can put as many people in your car that you can safely fit. The back seats fold down so you can put bigger items in your car. There is plenty of leg room and room for all your items.

Like many on here (including Javier - Dec 5, 2018), my Audi was expensive to maintain. I bought it new in 2010 and immediately it used to much oil. After many arguments with the local dealer (near Chicago), they finally got Audi America to cover the cost of fixing the issue (a piston ring issue they kept quiet). Somewhere north of 50k miles, the turbo went. Again, I had to press the local dealer and Audi was quietly fixing another issue they knew they had so they replaced the turbo. Then at 93k, my car would not start while out running local errands. I had to have it towed to an independent garage that works on Audi within the radius covered by my insurance road side assistance. This was a weekend but on Monday they called with the bad news that the tensioner on the timing chain went and damaged the valves. Their solution was to replace the engine with a used one, so I got the local Audi dealer involved. They said it was covered, so I spent $115 to have it towed to the dealer. I found out later this was part of a class action suit and the dealer wanted 8800 to replace the engine head. Audi said my warranty was voided, even though I did all my maintenance (65k, 75k,85k, etc) because I fell outside the time limit to do the maintenance (i.e. every 12 months), even though I drive few miles since retirement. I donated the car to charity and wrote a letter to the CEO of Volkswagen America, who used to be the President of Audi America. In all my years of driving and all of the cars/makes I have owned (many well over 100k), never have I had a timing belt/chain issue. Do yourself a favor and buy something other than an Audi or you do want an Audi, either lease it or trade it off before it is too old and you experience the heavy maintenance cost of owning these vehicles.

I am writing to express my severe disappointment with Audi USA. I purchased a 2006 Audi A6 4.2 taking delivery on March 17, 2008. I had the car certified and purchased an extended warranty. The car has been continually serviced and maintained by the dealership. On 5 July, the car wouldnt start and the check engine light came on. I had it towed to your dealership for service. Imagine my surprise when I was informed that the engine was destroyed due to a failed timing chain tensioner and the repair would cost me $11,073.001; the motor needed to be replaced. It is my experience that chain tensioners in motors with a timing chain are not a part expected to fail. My car only has 92,000 miles and I had been told the 4.2 is a rock solid motor. Apparently not. I thought that Audi would work to resolve the issue as a warranty issue, they did not. Research specific to the 4.2 seems to confirm that there is an issue with the timing chains and tensioners for that engine, though nothing official from Audi. Audi would cover only 50% of the parts to replace the motor. When I called Audi customer service, I was told that there was nothing they could do. I have owned Porsches, Mercedes Benz, Toyotas, Fords and Chevys. Up until July 5, 2013, my A6 is the only car I would buy again, until today. Not standing behind a product is not what I had expected from Audi. It seems that when Audi says truth in engineering, its just marketing. Audi has graciously offered $3,500 toward a new vehicle.

I really dont know where to start. I can fill pages and pages showing what bad company I trusted when I bought an Audi Q5. The car is extremely bad, no quality at all. Many problems with the gearbox, the breaks squeaking, steering wheel making bad jerking movements, and the list goes on. But what is really the worst is not the extremely bad quality of the car but the unbelievably bad service. I never took my car to the Audi dealer and they actually knew what was the problem. It stayed one time a full month at the dealer and they were not able to know what was the problem. Now I am facing a problem with the ignition, they told me we need to update the software and we need to get the software from Dubai and I have been waiting for that for a month now and still nothing. Very bad car, extremely bad service and dealing with the Audi people is like dealing with crooked con experts. My car is by the way only at 40000 Km and I hate it already so much. My advice to all: DO NOT EVEN THINK OF BUYING AN AUDI.

New A6 Prestige purchased Dec 2019. On February 11th 2020 the new car just dies while spouse driving on Post Road in center lane with daughter in car. Car just stops and is immobile. Audi Emergency Roadside Assistance does not show up for 3 hours despite confirms two truck being sent and numerous calls for help. Car and spouse stranded in middle of dangerous road at rush hour. Fairfield Service Center engaged yet waiting on Audi Assistance service vs actually intervening to help a loyal local customer. Explanation is they are not responsible for roadside assistance? Car towed 3 plus hours after and no explanation why brand new car died. Safety was why we were loyal Audi clients for 12 years and 6 vehicles. Lack of safety is why that’s over. Questions linger on potential dangers of new A6 (reminder of sudden acceleration issues from past). The car suddenly dying if my spouse had been driving on I95 could have been much more dangerous. Post Road was dangerous enough. Disappointed and shocked after 12 years of loyalty to Audi cars and Fairfield Audi.

Ive had nothing but problems with my Audi S6 since I bought it. Dealer just replaced 2 leaking high-pressure fuel pumps and 5 fuel injectors a couple weeks ago. I was driving home after I got it back and smelt gas but didnt really think much of it at the time and thought it may have been something I was driving past. The next morning when I was letting the car warm up and getting my kids ready for school, I noticed the gas smell again and saw the car spewing gas from the engine. Car was towed to the dealer and they said it was a fuel injector failure. Called Audi of America and they basically said sorry for your issues, but just deal with them; we dont care about you or your kids, in short. This car is unsafe and Id just like to warn everyone of this failure and the way AUDI responds to the problems. The car was running with no warning that fuel was spewing from the engine! Hows that for engineering? If only someone drove by and threw a cigarette butt, or I drove the car and the leaking gas ignited. This is now 2 fuels leaks; one right after the dealer fixed the other. Oh, let me also mention that the AUDI dealer had my car for 4-months to fix the first fuel leak! They were arguing with me that it was a bad battery in the car. It was only after some techs were sent in from another AUDI dealer that they discovered the fuel issues.

I bought a used A3 Quattro with 2800 miles in 2015. The car handles and drives very well but only if it is not in the shop. I have about 69K miles and have already had a water pump failure at 55K and now have a Gear Shift Lever Assembly issue. At about 65K the car started giving me an electronic malfunction warning and told me to stop, place the car in park and call service. I had it diagnosed to this assembly and have been told the repair is about $1700. I thought the days of poor reliability were over. I guess not! This vehicle has engineered obsolescence and is only good for the 50K warranty. I advise not buying the A3.

I chose the Audi because of safety ratings that it has, it rides great and it had most of the features that I wanted. The car has GPS, which comes in handy often. It has WiFi and drives smoothly to be an SUV. The SUV has lots of power and acceleration is great. I enjoy the fact that it has Bluetooth and Sirius Radio as well as heated and vented seats. However, it does not have a convenient USB port and the GPS system took some time to program. I would change the location of the cup holders. Bought this car brand new. I only had one issue during the 120K miles on it. Audi replaced the water pump at a oil change visit and then gave me extended coverage at no charge. (What Auto company does that?) The brakes do need to be replaced about every 25-30k miles. Routine maintenance is not terribly expensive. The car I replaced this car with is a Porsche Macan. I love the drive of the Macan but routine maintenance is very expensive. Spark plugs at 30K. Drain transmission at 40K. Plan on at least 1K per visit. The Audi was very dependable and a great car. My wife bought a 2018 S5 Sportback that is so much fun to drive. This is a great car company and look forward to visiting their manufacturing plant in Germany!!

We had a horrible experience with the Q7 TDI Diesel Buyback program (2012 Audi). The process was long, hard to figure out and not very customer service friendly. I felt I was treated like I did something wrong. All I did was buy a Turbo Diesel Audi. My family of 4 were left without a car for 3 days, before we had our buyback money to buy a new car as we only have 1 for all of us. Everyone was rude to deal with. When you spend this amount of money on a car you expect a certain level of customer service, we did not get treated well. I would not recommend Audi to anyone I know. And I will not buy another Audi.

It is safe and others should have it to not be in danger when this is a great car for almost everywhere to drive through such as off roads, some highways, streets in neighborhoods, the roads off at the stores, also the drive thrus. I would say it has a nice appearance and should be recommended for others so they can appreciate the looks of the car and how well it is for people to drive with barely any problems having to be on the car at all.The various upgrade helps it get lighter and to be more safer they add protection inside the car also which is very great for kids, children so they wont have any technical difficulties as the other fast supercars that dont really have any protection inside, within or without it. An Audi helps gets people to places like an average car. The capacity and the weight the car takes on is incredible because it still holds against heavy people such as myself and my other family members who are always entering my car to go to places wherever. For others it would helpful so there would still be a engine functioning.

I really liked this car until something bad happened. One of the nice features of the Q7, or most any other high end SUV is the ground radar which helps you park and warns you of objects in the road. This is especially important in a large SUV where you have limited visibility. But this feature did not work on my new 2017 Audi Q7. While parking, I ran over an object that sliced open the oil pan. It looked like someone had taken a knife to a cheap aluminum beer can. I thought how could an SUV have such a cheaply made oil pan? I know one doesnt take a Q7 off-roading every day, but youd think you could do it every once in a while, no?Then more bad news when the Audi shop told me that I had to also replace the oil pump. I was stunned by this as the oil pump is up high and wasnt touched at all in this incident. I have asked and still do not have an adequate response from anyone at Audi. Does one have to replace the oil pump anytime the pan is removed?Next problem was that as I had no idea the oil pan was sliced open, I drove less than a mile back home without any oil in the engine. At first there was the typical light on the dashboard indicating that I should replace the oil. I thought that was strange with a new car but I was almost home so I continued. Then just when I was turning the last corner a larger warning came on to say that I should shut the car off as it was out of oil. Which I did seconds later. But now I am concerned that the motor is damaged and the warranty violated.Anyhow, now I have to pay a couple thousand bucks to get my new Q7 back on the road, not to mention my concern over the health of the engine in the future. I think I should junk the car, but I paid an awful lot of money for it. This whole thing is partially my fault for running over the object, but I really think that Audi oversold the intelligence and robustness of their new Q7.

My wifes 2004 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8T suffered major engine damage when her oil pickup became clogged with sludge. The car had been dealer serviced its entire life. Audi lost a class action lawsuit over this issue which requires them to fix any damages at 100%. We filed a claim with Audi, but they denied it - saying my wifes car falls outside the range of VIN numbers they supplied in the lawsuit. This is despite Audi admits the damage was caused by the exact same problem. I feel Audi intentionally left out the VIN numbers of a vast number of 2004 A4s in the course of the settlement.

Charged me money after return of a lease (for change of a tire) without properly communicating with us and next I receive a letter from collection agency. And when I call to clarify they mistreated me again on the phone (somebody name Marco...). So disappointed. Dont buy Audi!

Audi Q7 3.0 TDI S-line - First my radio went off. A week later my MMI went down. Took it into an auto electric place that said there was an amp that they need to order but I could take my car back, but I wouldnt have any MMI. While driving the car and just leaving the motor way I thought the brakes had failed, then realized the engine had cut out. After 6 hours with my wife and my daughter a recovery truck turn up. We eventually got it back to a local Garage to be told the engine had seized. After phoning around different Audi approved dealers and told Q7 engines are bullet proof. I paid to have my car collected and taken to an Audi garage, to be told after 2 weeks and a new battery that my engine was in deed knackered!!! Insurance won’t cover this… Audi do not want to Know, so I am left paying for a crap pos that now worthless and will cost thousands to repair. Seem I’m not the only one to suffer the fate of the Q7. It’s a 2007 with 82k of mileage. Is this what Audi call Vorsprung Technik… What a load of crap!!!!

My year 2010 Audi A4 2.0 TFSI Quattro has started to burn excessive oil due to a design/manufacturing fault. Local dealer in Turkey, Audi Turkey (Dogus Otomotiv) is not responsive with my issue since it is a design problem so should take the manufacturers responsibility. Finally I had to have my cars engine rebuilt by paying 4500 USD to one of the official service point in Ankara, Turkey, last week. Now I am so disappointed about my Audi car and the local dealer of it (and also Audi AG, Germany). Therefore I have started a protesting campaign to make them hear my and thousands of desperate Turkish customers voices. Please send your supports and help me with this campaign to succeed and maybe to change this frustrating situation, causing a huge dissatisfaction and disappointment about the brand AUDI in Turkey.P.S.: You can investigate and check the general look, image/reputation of Audi Turkey/Dogus Otomotiv which is also the local dealer of Volkswagen cars in Turkey especially about their customer satisfaction levels that I believe you also recognize it is very low level. Thanks for your supports and helps. Those may help solving our customer satisfaction problems with our local dealer!

I bought a Audi Q5 2015 back in October 2014. At the moment picking up the car and paying for the balance, the person who assist me promised to give me the new Apple cable connector to plug my iPhone, which was unavailable at time. When they received the new cable they never called back to pick it up. A few weeks ago in July 2015 I called asking for the cable. The person who helped back then was no longer working for Audi of Mississauga and they said they couldnt give me the cable as promised.I called Audi Canada and after made me wait three days for an answer they said they couldnt give the cable. Now, in October 2015, when I picked the car they gave a Gift Certificate for $50. Now in July 2015 that I want to use the same dealer Audi - Mississauga - Ontario - Canada, said it was expired. I would never recommend this car made Audi to anyone. The sales representative, Alex **, provided us with the worst customer service ever. Never answered his phone and had the courage to sent text messages. Very disappointed. I regret 100% buying this car. Next time I will go for a Range Rover without doubt.

I have never owned an Audi product, so I decided to lease a 2017 Audi Q7 3.0 to determine if I would shift from the Benz and BMW world. The car is good, very good but I have problems with obtaining satisfactory maintenance service. My first bad experience was at Audi of Silverspring, MD where I schedule to take my car in and booked a Loaner. On getting there, I was referred to Enterprise somewhere at the back of the Audi facilities. Enterprise wasted my time and within one hour, the provided 2 cars that did not work. I called my Service Associate multiple times and left messages. I did not get him and he never replied my call. At the edge of one hour, I decided to go back to Audi. I still did not meet my Service Associate. I told them to give me my car and left in annoyance without doing the service (they have not started working on it after one hour). I took it to Audi of Bethesda, MD but was very dissatisfied with their service as well - location difficult to locate, no clear directions that the Dealership location is different from the Service Center, poor estimation of completion time, technicians handled the car roughly and carelessly. I tried reaching through the text I got but no response even though the text stated I could use it to reach my service technician - bad responsiveness. On the next one, I went back to Silverspring and planned to wait while the service was done so I would not run into issues of getting a Loaner car. I got my car back but before I drove back home, the lever used to open the Hood fell off like three times. I kept putting it back and it kept coming off. I then decided to keep it in the Glove Compartment but before that, I took a picture and sent it to the Audi Silverspring SMS text line that the Service Person uses to communicate. I explained and requested a callback. I never got one but after 2 weeks, I got a text asking if I was satisfied. I referred him to my earlier SMS with the picture but never got a response back up till now. I called to leave a message to advise I was trying to get this resolved before leaving an online feedback - no response. Great cars but very poor maintenance service department(s).

Audi A4 Quattro 2009 - I just bought my car 4 months ago and it has 60,000 miles on it. I noticed excessive oil consumption problems. Just had the oil change 1 month ago, have driven it 000 miles and have added 1 quart of oil. Took it in to the Audi dealership in Boise, ID and they have suggested a new crankcase pressure regulating valve and a software update, which will cost me $250 if I fix it. If the dealership fixes $500 in just labor costs alone. This is first step to the problem. If this doesnt solve the problem, then I have to get the cylinders replaced, which they estimate a $5,000 repair. This car is a joke! I will never buy another Audi again, and hopefully, the company will realize the issues and fix the problems. How can you pay $40,000 for a car and the engine goes out at 60,000 miles. Sticking with a Lexus for sure!

Ive had my 2013 Audi allroad for 8 years, it currently has 112000 miles. Its always been serviced and repaired by Audi. 25k miles ago I started to need to top up oil between services. Audi then stated that this was normal. I didnt really believe that and started to do some research on my own and found that the early TFSI engines 2008-2012 have an inherent design fault which leads to high consumption of oil. **Gradually the problem got worse and during a service when I yet again made them aware of the issue and my research findings, they said the turbo was burning oil and needed to be replaced before they could do anything. This was done and $4k later my car was still burning oil. Problem got worse and worse. At 1 qrt every 600 miles Audi said that the abnormal use was due to a leaking top cover gasket and they could not do anything until this issue was corrected. I made them aware that the engine bay would have been full of oil if the top cover gasket was to blame but went ahead to fix the gasket at the same time as the timing chain was replaced. The problem still remained. I have now spent yet another $1k to perform a oil consumption test which concluded that the car is now using 1 qrt each 200 miles! Which is everything else but normal. Audi finally says that the piston rings need to be replaced and because the car is now out of warranty I have to pay for everything out of pocket!!!The fact that Audi from day one blamed everything else and asked me to spend premium $ to fix whatever they said was the issue instead of taking responsibility for their faulty engines is ridiculous and everything else but premium. Its so savage and ruthless to bleed your customers of money knowingly that there is an issue with the engines. This is not what I expect of a premium car company. Whoever is considering of ever buying or owning a new or used Audi please think twice!

In 2014 I had purchased a 2006 Audi A3 with 30,000 miles, with a clean title. It was great for the first year or so and once it hit 60,000 miles, I had absolutely nothing but problems. Around 60,000 miles, I was on the expressway, and my car started to jolt back and forth, that ended up being because the fuel rail sensor went bad. A couple thousand miles later, my alternator goes bad, without any warning, leaving me stranded. Shortly thereafter, I was on my way to class and I had a severe cylinder misfire. Mind you, this is all within less than a years time. After all of those issues were fixed, I thought everything that could have possibly broken was fixed. Next thing you know, my A/C is now only blowing cold air when Im going 80 MPH down the expressway and blowing hot air when its idling or going slower than 80. I also got my car scanned to see why the check engine light turned on again, and it turns out that I have another two cylinder misfires and my fuel pump is going bad. This car only has 70,000 miles on it and has had more problems than I ever imagined. I am beyond disappointed in Audi and the quality of their vehicles and how unreliable they are. I will most definitely not be purchasing another Audi or any German car for that matter.

German Engineering = Blown Engine at 130K. Im very disappointed with my experience owning a 2009 Audi A4. Ive owned the car for the majority of its life (starting at 20K miles) and had taken great care to perform regular maintenance. I had driven it carefully and loved the car (while it worked). However, at 50-60K I had massive oil consumption problems which Audi refused to believe were the cause of poor design. At 70-80K I had enough and called corporate (thanks to a suggestion from a mom & pop Audi mechanic, NOT Audi dealership) which replaced the piston rings for FREE and fixed my oil consumption. Then at 130K the engine finally blew, with no warning. I went to corporate with all of my maintenance records asking for help, since a normal car (not even talking LUXURY here) should last well over 130K miles. They led me along for 2 months, along with the dealership in Wilmington DE, and afterwards, quoted me an insane price for replacing the engine ($10k+), even with discounted labor. When I sent a detailed email to the North America CEOs (Audi & VW), they sent me to a rep who essentially said theyve done all their due diligence & fulfilled their responsibility by settling a class action lawsuit and refused to provide any kind of measurable assistance to me, personally. Too bad they never informed me of this lawsuit (despite me having problems during the time of the lawsuit), and I never received any kind of actual help from the company. I went through so much grief with this car, and all because of faulty engineering, which the company would not take responsibility for (settling a class action lawsuit, without informing me, is their definition of taking responsibility). They dragged me along for 2 months, while my car was rusting in my driveway. This company is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my nearly 30 years of existence. How anyone can claim this company is reliable (after this lawsuit, after their emissions scandals, and specifically after the way they treated me) is beyond me. I will never buy an Audi (or VW, at this point) again... And I will make sure to tell my story for the rest of my life, working in Corporate Finance (Audis target market). Because this CAN and WILL happen to you. The same engine issues the 09-11 A4s had, the 2017 A4 will probably have as well (since its a new engine design). And Audi doesnt care, because theyll just settle any upcoming lawsuit and pay that small percentage of claimants that were actually informed... And tell the others to go fly a kite. Much cheaper than actually standing up and holding yourself responsible for your poorly designed vehicles.

I drive a 2012 Audi A6 SuperCharged. A few days ago I received a recall for fuel pump change, in that I called the nearest Audi dealership to make an appointment for the change on 01/26/2017. In the process of the change I decided to have an oil change. At the dealership everyone was very nice and took care of me within the process of the service and assured me that the fuel pump and the oil change has been taken care of and paid 140.27 dollars for the oil change. The biggest part me going to the dealership was because of the recall for the fuel pump because of the letter I received a few days ago. This morning 01/27/2017, after my daily routine coming home the car engine suddenly turned off. The worst part of this was that I was traveling on a highway, Palisades Parkway to be exact. On the dashboard of the car there were no indication of something wrong. The fuel gauge was indicated as that the car had fuel in the car. Not thinking about the amount of fuel that is in the car, I thought that there was something wrong with the engine itself. Thinking back from yesterdays service, the service was for the fuel pump recall. Thinking that it couldnt be fuel because I just came out of the service for this problem, but to be sure I called a friend to bring some gas to put in the car. Sure enough after adding fuel into the car the car started and I was able to drive to the nearest gas station to fill up.In all, this complaint is for the service at the Audi Town Motors of Englewood NJ where they specialize in Audi. Having trusted that an Audi dealership would know how to service an Audi car, was the worst mistake of my life. Driving a car in the highway, all of the sudden losing an engine and feeling a life or death situation was something that I wanted to share. Cars flying by me trying desperately to move the car to a safe place to park was something that no one should experience. I would like to formally put a complaint to the Audi Town Motors of Englwood NJ at 400 South Dean St Englewood NJ 07631. For the life or death situation I was in and amount of time I had to suffer for the mistakes that the Audi made, in a recall that Audi of America formally gave out to all of the Audi owners.

9 days ago, my engine warning lights came on, and the car had ZERO pep, could not go over 30 mph-drove the 6 miles to my home. Parked it and had AAA flatbed it to the Audi Dealership. I would like to know how to lodge a formal complaint about my Audi S3 and the dissatisfaction I have received from Audi roadside assistance and Audi Service Centre in Parramatta. When I first walked into the Audi Parramatta dealership when purchasing my S3, the level of service and communication was outstanding! I was so pleased with how I was informed every step of the way and the progress on when my car was being built. It all went downhill from there as soon as I left the dealership.About 8 months of owning the car the centre console panel started to flack up and peel exposing the aluminium underlay of the part of the car. Shortly after that my car overheated and the warning light came on for me to turn off my engine and put coolant in the car. I was stranded with my 1 year old and my 3 year old. I called the Audi roadside assistance and was told that someone would be there within an hour. 4 hours later no one turned up so I was forced to drive the car myself with my 3 year old and 1 year to the Parramatta service centre for them to add coolant to the car. Then I was emailed a survey about the roadside and because I gave them a 0 mark they called me the next day asking why I had marked them so low. I explained that I was left stranded for hours on end with my 2 kids under the age of 3 and had to drive my overheated car to the service centre myself. I was told by the person on the phone that the job was not logged and that is why no one came or called. Then when I booked in my car for the service I was told I had to wait close to 2 weeks for the new part to arrive. I waited weeks and no one from the Parramatta service centre got in touch with me so I had to call them to follow up with them to confirm my appointment and confirm the part had arrived. I dropped it off and had arranged a loan car. I inquired about the terms and conditions of the loan car agreement. I was told by MASON that I would have to pay $2500 excess regardless if I got into an accident and it was not my fault. So I couldnt even utilise the loan car which is why I asked for the loan car so I could use it for work. I missed an entire days work because of this information that was wrong! I was mislead and deceived into signing this legally binding agreement. Then to top it off after missing an entire day of work to have a part in my car changed, I was called at 3:30 PM to tell me the part had been damaged, mind you the car was dropped off at 8:00 AM that morning. There is no way it was damaged when leaving the factory in Germany, clearly it was damaged when the staff opened it. I know this because the Assistant Manager Chris told me that the part comes wrapped in bubble wrap and layers of other material to protect and it gets delivered in a box. I was then told I have to wait another week and a half for another part to come in.2 weeks later I am yet to hear anything from Audi Parramatta service centre. The website clearly states that first class service to Audi consumers when clearly that is not the case. What is the point of having an Audi if the staff cannot even communicate with its consumers, when they cant even advise its consumers of correct information on an agreement, when my car over heats and parts are damaged and when roadside leaves its consumers stranded? It is a joke that I have spent all this money on this car and to be so dissatisfied. No one at the service centre offered any sort of compensation or help with anything. Not even a sorry.Today after waiting 2 weeks for the new part to arrive I dropped my car off again to Audi Service Centre to have the part changed. I wasnt even called to pick it up even though I left my mobile number with Jeffery, instead my husband was called and when I got to Audi to pick my car up I had to wait 20 minutes as Jeffery was too busy to see me. He told me that he had delayed his lunch and that he had been waiting for me, what kind of employee at a service centre even says that to its customer? On top of that my car not only got damaged whilst they changed the part, the part they fitted doesnt even fit correctly and the installer has now damaged two parts of the console of my car. The worst experience Audi has delivered, worst service and lack of due diligence is unbelievable. I now have to wait even longer to have new parts brought in and I am told Chris or Jeffery will be in touch but it will be a while. The worst Service Centre ever!!!

I have a 2014 Audi Q5 and recently for no reason whatsoever, the power steering failed and nearly caused an accident. I mentioned it to my local Audi service department and had them look at it while it was in for 3 other recalls. They agreed that the power steering was not responding and it would have to be replaced. I explained to them that the car is barely driven and has never been in an accident. And I find it unacceptable that a car company that has built a reputation on handling and drivability would have a complete steering failure at 40k miles which they informed me is just out of warranty. I was told at my local Audi dealership that It would have to be paid for out of pocket so I called Audi customer support. This was over 2 weeks ago and since then I have gotten no clear information on the issue. I have been through 3 customer service reps and they have changed stories multiple times. The second to last time they informed me that there was a program that the local Audi dealership has to help in situations like this. So I went back to Audi only to find out that they have no such program and they werent even told about this from the customer service rep. I was supposed to receive an answer almost a week ago and it keeps getting pushed off. At this point I still can not drive the car or else risk getting into a serious accident. I also want to point out that I did research and found out that the SQ5 version of this Audi has a recall on the same issue. I further researched it thinking that the steering system was different only to find out it is the same part number. This is clearly a defect and Audi should be responsible for fixing it. I cant even get a clear answer as to what it would cost since the dealership has changed the price on me multiple times. At this point the car cant be driven and I dont see why I would need to spend up to $3,500 to replace the entire power steering rack on a car with low miles that has been well taken care of. I also dont trust the service department at my local Audi since they informed me that my brakes and rotors need to be changed yet I just had them done about 1,500 miles ago. I am at a loss with Audi and just want the steering replaced so I can safely trade this in on a different brand vehicle or sell it out right. I dont feel safe driving it and I wouldnt want to sell it to someone else as is. If this car is driven it will cause a severe accident.

I leased an Audi A6 and just from the first day the car trembles heavily when I turned it on, and also at low speed it accelerates erratically, took it to the dealer at North Miami and they check the car and states that the car perform like similar vehicles of his class. My second complaint is that braking in high speed is poorly responsive and apparently the brakes are also fine. Called Audi Financial services and if I want to transfer my lease my name have to stay in the lease. I really have to accept I made a huge mistake to switch from my BMW to Audi.

Purchased 2020 Q7 for over 80K. Sever safety issues began around 1000 miles. Vehicle would abruptly stop on the highway. Had truck for 8 months, 5 of those months spent in service. After 3 conversations with their corporate services who kept telling me they were reviewing my file and get back to me in a couple of days, which never happen. They would call me back after a month. This happened 3X while my Vehicle stayed in service. Finally I hired a lemon law attorney. Audi quickly settled but why they not simply by my car back. Instead, their neglect cost them a loyal customer who has purchased 4 Audi. We got our money back due to the lawsuit and bought a Mercedes. Audi could have simply taken the vehicle back and put us in a new Q7 but instead chose to ignore our safety concerns. Not only did they lose our loyalty but lost a customer to a competitor. I was also ready to trade in my Audi A7 but now would never consider an Audi and hopefully people read this review and think twice before they think about purchasing an Audi.

I bought an Audi A4 2010 model. It was great at first. Then, after a week, my power window got stuck. Since then, there are a lot of problems coming from the car. Sounds came from the front right tire that even your service center could not detect, engine jerking, all four tires nearly burst as the service and maintenance did not have my car checked properly during my car service time, and a lot more. All I’m doing now is keep on spending on the maintenance. And the service center here in Glenmarie, Malaysia always makes me wait and don’t always solve the problem. What are you selling, Audi? Is it your car technology that you said is better than the rest or are you selling your parts and services? Does buying an Audi means that I have to spend more on maintaining or I don’t have to worry about anything? Now, the lock sensor does not work. Please do something, Audi, as I am getting fed up with your brand! To me, Audi did not deliver whatever they promised in their advertisement. That’s the worst lie towards consumer.

There are lots of cars to select from. For example, cars range from SUVs to Sports Vehicles, like the Audi R8. Another very good vehicle to purchase would be the Q7. That SUV has everything a family needs to travel and not only is it good for traveling, it is very elegant too. All Audis offer all the newest and best technology up to date. They all have navigation, Bluetooth, etc. Most of the SUVs have sun roofs too. They are very beautiful from the inside and out. You can choose from no features, to all features. It gives you a wide option to personalize and and upgrade your vehicle. Another thing is that to upgrade it is very reasonable prices. The passenger capacity is also amazing. It has a very roomy passenger seat and backseat in the Audi Q7 and it still has lots of room in the trunk.

People cant hear me over the noise and tell me Im screaming at them. This is with the top up. I have been to Audi twice and been told that nothing can be done. A car over 50k deserves service and functioning equipment. When I bought the car, I was clear to the salesman that voice control was important to me. It is disabled in the Cabriolet. I have owned several German autos... BMW, Mercedes and Audi. Of the three brands, the Audi Q5 Premium Plus (2010) has been the best by far! The only problem has been with the emissions system fouling due to the direct fuel injection; a problem common to many current brands. Audis service has been excellent in correcting any and all problems! My biggest complaint is the cost of replacement parts... extremely high ($53.00 for a plastic visor clip)!

On May 19th, 2012 I bought a 97 Audi wagon from Ppm Automobile for $1200 and on July 8th, 2012 my car broke down. I got the car towed to a nearest shop where the mechanic told me my transmission was shot. I explained to the mechanic I only had the car for one month then he advised me to get in contact with the person I brought the car from to let him know that the car’s transmission was no good from the start since I only had it for 30 days. I really need justice in this matter. I have called Ppm for nine days and l still got no help on reimbursement of the $696 that I had to pay for transmission replacement. I need help in getting a refund from that company.

Overall, my husband and I have been very satisfied with the Audi vehicles weve purchased or leased since 2016. Weve owned/leased a 2017 A4, 2017 Q5, 2018 SQ5 and 2018 Q5. Unfortunately, what is very disappointing is Audis lack of customer support or loyalty. A few months ago, my husband unexpectedly passed away leaving me with two leased Audis. Understanding that we did enter into leases with strict lease conditions on these two cars, given my personal situation and that my husband and I had a good history with Audi, I still wanted to see if Audi could help me in any way as I couldnt keep 2 leased vehicles under the present circumstances. I had heard that some car companies are very helpful when a lease holder becomes deceased. Ends up Audi is not one of those car companies and they were of absolutely no help. The dealer told me they couldnt do anything and to talk to Audi Financial as they owned the leases. Audi Financial told me I could turn in one of the cars but Id still have to make the payments and that I should go back and talk to the dealer to see if they would purchase the car back. Long story short, I ended up buying out one of the cars and selling it through a car broker (at a loss but at least I no longer have to make the car payments), and will continue to lease the other car until the lease expires. At that time I will purchase something different as I am very disappointed in Audis lack of customer support or loyalty.

My purchase day was overshadowed by joy of buying a car, failing to see that Audi was not about the purchaser nor providing all 10s service. What has really maddened me today is I get a call I am thinking is a survey of my recent servicing, only to get hung up on, unable to express my concerns due to lack of professional communication. I thought I was saying yes to the rep saying all my information correctly. But after being hung up on, it left me wondering what was the call about. Not even a goodbye, thank you. Audi wants buyers to think they are for satisfaction but they only do things that is necessary just to say they have done it because they dont care if they have met the goal or provided customer satisfaction. I have been battling with them ever since my purchase but my concerns are not what they care to hear. I had to have a second delivery in which even direct, specified, unsatisfactory issues were not even addressed that I had pointed out in a written response. I wish I would have took my business elsewhere. Sometimes I wonder the true value of the whole deal.I wish there was another rep I could make a formal complaint to but I am going to keep long for that. It almost seems as if a $60,000 price means nothing to the dealer about committing to satisfaction. I have had a repair done and the console piece pop right off the next day, which clearly was not attached properly, only to have the same issue serviced again in less than 2 months. I see why people buy BMW and Mercedes. The service is better, the agreement is firm, and you are not judged. They make it known to please give us all 10s on the survey at Greensboro Audi but they are less than 6. I like my car but the way I feel about how they treat me, sometimes I just want to sell it back just to rid myself of the association with Audi.

In 2009, I purchased a used 2008 Audi A4 S-line at Valenti Audi. I just paid off the car in March 2014. Last October, we were advised to replace the timing chain. When the timing chain goes, they said, the car will stop running. We were at 100,000 miles, so we put the $2500 timing chain in. Over the years, all service and repairs and maintenance were done at Valenti. We were very careful. The car seemed to use a lot of oil, and it ate tires, but we were told this was normal for AWD.I was very much looking forward to 5 more years of driving. A few days ago, the check engine light came on. Then there was a rattle. Then it sputtered. I took it to Valenti. They told me the camshaft was cracked and what I heard were pieces of it rattling around. The turbo had also gone. Oh - and my front drivers side tire was falling apart. That would cost, at a minimum, $4960, but it might be $9000 to put in a brand new engine. Then they revealed that on some Audi A4s there had been an extended warranty provided because of this camshaft problem - but not for my VIN number. And, they said, I have more miles on it now than the extended warranty would have covered anyway.Well, if I had known the car was going to blow up, knowing there was this warranty might have spurred me to find another car. My $7,000-8,000 trade-in has now become worth $0. Audi said they would take it as a trade-in if I bought a new Audi. $1500. And then they showed us a bunch of cars and offered us the sticker price on all of them, no discounts. They had us over the proverbial barrel. They clearly knew the manufacture of the camshaft was defective. We were not notified and were given no time to rectify this. We had the car consistently repaired at this place; they did not warn us of impending trouble. And then when it fell apart, we were told we could have $1500 for our car. Well, they said, “After all, it doesnt run. Its really not worth anything”.

Audi Q7 4.2 - I am extremely disappointed with this SUV. Every 24000 miles it needs new brakes and rotors that cost in excess of $1600. The last brake job, the car squeaks with brand new pads and rotors. Took back to Audi and they said it is brake dust. After 300 miles still have the issue and AUDI Customer Relations is not helping. I took my 2016 Red Audi A4 to Audi of South Atlanta in Union City Georgia on 12/12/2018 in the afternoon hours. I took it for the after coolant pump recall and to get a diagnostic as to why my reverse camera would intermittently work. I got there, dropped off the car, signed for my loaner car & acknowledged the 149$ diagnostic fee. Upon taking the trunk apart they came upon my wiring harness underneath the deck lid had been cut and taped back together possibly by a previous body shop that repaired the car after an accident back in 2016 when I got the car new. They were saying that over the course of two years and the wires being held back together by tape that they became loose. We then got State Farm involved and did a 3 way call with the dealership and they agreed to do another tear down at the cost of State Farm, as I had requested them not do any repair work as I would take it up with the previous body shop. But State Farm wanted to send an adjuster out to get an estimate of the damage. Hear nothing until 12-26-2018 When I got an email about the findings and if I wanted to do the repairs or not, and I did NOT respond to the email I instead asked Tim ** the service adviser why I was receiving the email and if it was just automated because the last communication I had during the 3 way call was that State Farm was paying for the repairs not me that I never wanted the work done if I was going to be responsible for the bill. He text me and said “Let me verify with State Farm that they are bringing a check by today or tomorrow”. 12-27-2018 I hear from Tim ** that State Farm is denying the repair and that the repair has already been completed because they sent him over the document containing the estimate he took that as approval for repairs is what he told me. I asked to see said document because I was not in any communication about the repair being done until after the fact. He texts on the same date how pissed he is because the State Farm claims adjuster would not allow him to speak to his supervisor and ask if I would call them the next day and allow a 3 way call with the supervisor of said claims agent “Carter”. Over the next business day when Tim ** realized that State Farm was not going to pay for repairs as they did not and have no right to do approve repairs to my car only I can approve said repairs and I NEVER approved ANY repairs!! So they start looking at me for the money, first telling me the cost of the repair telling me & the advisor at Audi of America that I need to pay it and go after my insurance company for reimbursement. Then when they realize I am not about to pay almost 2k for this repair they then tell me they could charge me the 725$ for the rental car which my agreement was for a “Loaner” car… A few days going back and forth with my local agent, this dealer, and the sheriffs department they then agree to release the car for a lowered amount of $500 and they put my broken part back in and keep their new part. I declined once again as the only thing I approved was a $149 diagnostic fee. I then call Audi Financial who I have the vehicle financed with and told them the story and they really weren’t much help. So after being threatened with the cost of the loaner Audi I decided to return it and get a few things out of my car since it was clear they were going to have it for quite some time. When they finally bring my car around for me to retrieve property out of they had in my front seat my LICENSE PLATE to take with me… talk about taking possession of something I have paid 27k for to this day… WOW! Then I start looking into legal options and possibly even just letting Audi reposes the vehicle as it was going on 3 weeks and no one wanted to help me when this dealer was Clearly STEALING MY CAR!!! I let it go for a week or two this new year as I was stressing way too much. Today on 01-21-2019 I call and speak with service manager Allen, I was being nice considering this dealer has done nothing but rob me for 4 weeks as I’m paying a car payment and insurance on a car they have. I ask if they would consider $350 instead of $500 like they had offered a few weeks back to just put this all behind us since they were in the wrong for doing repairs I never approved and he said no that is not what he and the service advisor offered me and that to take the car off the lot it would be the full $500. I said, Okay if you all want to continue being crooks I will find a way to get my car and he interrupts me and says that they are not crooks and if that is how I felt that I can pay the full invoice price and to not come up there to get the vehicle until I have all the money including the loaner car and hangs up!!! Here I am going out of my way to be the bigger person and Pay them money of any amount other than $149 and I get that type of attitude and yelling from a member or management?? I guess this is what to expect when owned by Buttler Automotive Group out of Macon Ga… Update to come when I retrieve my car.

A few weeks after I was sold a car from TNT Auto Sales in Lugoff, I started having issues with the car. The car was not holding water and would overheat numerous times throughout the day. I took it back to the dealer to have it checked and I was told to wait and they couldnt do anything. I was told not to leave the car on the lot as well so I had to keep driving it. I called, texted, and went to the dealer almost everyday or every other day about the car. Nothing was done and finally the car broke down on me and will not crank or anything anymore. I told the dealer what happened. Nothing was still done. I didnt even get to make my second car payment before the car broke down on me. My 2014 Audi A6 TDI Prestige is an absolutely great car, except for the leather driver’s seat stretching and getting dye transfer from clothing less than 2 months from purchase. While other luxury cars, with light colored interiors, do not suffer from dye transfer - the 2014 Audi does. I consulted independent leather experts that informed me that the aniline leather treatment method (dyes probably from Asia) experience problems. This is not as bad as leather stretching and looking aged/worn after 2 months. The sign of a great company is not that they are 100% problem free, but rather the way that issues are handled. I was looking for a win/win situation after buying 5 new Audis, but rather experienced total frustration with our 5th purchase.Overall, Audi builds a really great car - but, Audi of America customer service is terrible. In our free market economy, the result is Audi is losing a paying customer. Sad and a pity, but dealing with Audi of America has shown my wife and me that they really dont care about after sales customer satisfaction. We are only writing about our experience and resultant decision to not buy Audi products in the future. Brand new 2024 Audi A6 TDI - I have 6000 km and there are a few things that I dont like about the car but will not mention them as I should have been more detail-oriented when I tested the car. You should never rush into buying an car unless it meets ALL your safety requirements. What I am complaining about has to do with the brakes. They grab when you have almost stopped. They seem to stick when they are wet. They make a sound as though the pads and caliper are stuck. If you slowly pull out with your foot still on the brake, they make a God-awful sound. And that is when they are dry. When wet, you talk rep your life into your hands with these brakes. They really stick and the sounds are horrible. If I am wearing a soft sporty shoe, I still cannot bring the car to a smooth stop. Forget about it with firmer dress shoes. Its a horrible experience. Guess what? They just gave me a loaner, after I complained about the brakes. It had 400 KM on the odometer and the brakes did the very same thing? They told me that it had to do with some brake technology. I say nonsense. This appears to be an endemic problem. Its unpleasant and dangerous.

Audi offered all kinds of models, although not the specific color I wanted but it was still okay. I was hoping to have a dark red car but they did not have it. I was still very pleased. The interior design was absolutely gorgeous and made the purchase worthwhile. I was very satisfied with the upgrade options and decided to do all the personal options that were available. However, I wish there could be somewhat more room in the car. But other than that its fine.

Bought an A8 and it is a very nice and well appointed car. It handles and looks great. Its high-end but not as expensive as true luxury vehicles are. I usually drive either by myself or with one passenger, but theres plenty of room for driver plus four others to sit comfortably without feeling cramped. However, in recent months Ive been disappointed to find out about the mpg/emissions lies.

I purchased a 2018 Audi Q7 and was pushed by Grapevine Audi to finance for at least 4 months to get a rebate and the dealer get an incentive from Audi Financial. Long story short I made the first payment of $10,000 which they lost and now claim they returned. They say the check was cashed...this was an electronic bank transfer made by my bank and the entire story from Audi makes no sense and they cannot prove how they returned the funds. I have been dealing with this for over a month and each call results in a different story from Audi Financial. If you choose to finance an Audi do so through your own bank to avoid this nightmare.

Beware of purchasing an Audi. I own a 2018 Audi Q7. Unfortunately, I was hit in a collision 75 days ago. I still do not have my car back. Currently, I am waiting for replacement parts from Audi. The last estimate I received is that the parts are still at least 35 days away from being shipped. Audi continues to push back the ship date for the parts. I reached out to Audi Customer Care and received no help or solution. If you purchase an Audi be prepared to wait for 4-6 months for repairs to be completed. It may be even longer...

I love Audi the car, but Audi financial services is an absolute nightmare.
I love Audi the car, but Audi financial services is an absolute nightmare. I lease an Audi A4 in 2011. I leased a car from Audi in 2011 and promptly returned the car in outstanding condition a few days before the end of the lease. About a week before returning the car, some vandalism was done on a fender. I put a claim in with my insurance company and the car was completely detailed not on for the fender but bumper etc. It looked almost in showroom condition. BTW I live in Manhattan. The lease also allowed me to have 30,000 miles on the car. When I returned the car, it only had a little over 14,000 miles on it. If I still needed a car, I would have bought it. I even asked friends if they may be interested in buying it from me if I bought it. It was that much of a deal. Audi employs a vendor named SGS to do car inspections. The inspector spent over an hour inspecting every inch of the car. At times he actually pulled out a magnifying glass! I have leased many cars and have never had an inspector like this. I was outraged when he listed tiny scratches, a tiny ding on the side door and a hairline crack in the rear tail light. He gave me an estimate of what I need to pay for Excess wear and tear. I kept asking him do define excess wear and tear. He showed me a tiny scratch on the hood that exceeded 2/3 of an inch or something like that. I kept saying that the tiny scratch is far from excess wear and tear. Finally I just grabbed his write and decided to call Audi myself. About two months later, Audi called me asking for proof that I turned in my car. I asked her why they dont just get the information from Audi Manhattan where I returned the car. She said that Audi Manhattan is difficult to communicate with and it was easier to just get the information from me. I run a small business and do not have time to do someone elses job. I explained that Audi Financials internal problems are not my problem, but if I find the document I will send it to them. About a month later, sure enough, I found the document, made a copy and sent it to Audi Financial. I then get a bill 5 months later from Audi Financial for over $1,000. There were excess wear and tear charges AND they claimed I turned in the car 20 days late. (I turned the car in early.) So the fighting with Audi financial will continue. There are a lot of hot cars out there. You dont need Audi. I have leased from Lexus and Toyota. I had no wear and tear charges with them and never had the car put through the body shop a week before returning it! DONT LEASE FROM AUDI!!

Audi provides cars that meet the requirements for most people. They offer smaller vehicles such as the A3 and A4 that would be suitable for people looking for a luxury vehicle but who are budget conscious or live in a busy city with limited parking. They have the A5 and A6 for the midrange. If you are looking for a fully loaded full size sedan there is the A8 and S8 (more sporty). If you are into sports cars there is the R8. Audi also offers attractive vehicles. Their vehicles have classy styling and clean lines. They offer sporty options and their new vehicles feature full led headlights which is a great improvement over the old halogen lights. Also, Audi offers several color options and multiple trim options. Most people can find something that would suit their style; however, individuals looking for a clearly unique style or appearance might be a little disappointed. They have options in the different car size classes. Generally the vehicles are spacious and accommodating. The smaller vehicles will easily accommodate 4 adults with maybe a child in the middle in the back. Larger vehicles such as the A8 will easily and comfortably accommodate 5 adults.

I leased a 2015 Audi A6 at the end of August 2014. After the first 12 months the brakes started squeaking every so often and it went away the next few months and it would come back and forth. Now, in summer 2016 the brakes started squeaking even worse than before which was very embarrassing taking into consideration that you are paying for a new luxury car. My wife took it to Legend Audi Dealer in Amityville NY just to hear from them that it is normal and that we have to cope with the noise and they gave her a brochure to read. I am not satisfied how Audi is handling this issue as it appears that they can fix it by replacing the brake pads but they dont want to. Also, I found several similar issues on the web dating back to around 2010 where other people were complaining about this. It is not fair that I keep paying for a car with such defect not being addressed by the manufacturer, it is embarrassing and a shame that Audi is not taking hands on to fix this issue. They are making their brand undesirable and because of this I wont buy another Audi again. Audi also has less than average customer service, you pay for luxury car but get poor customer service. I also want to point out that I own a Mercedes and that Mercedes is very diligent on addressing any issues with their cars and do provide outstanding customer service. I originally had plans on leasing Audi cars, but not anymore as I am completely disappointed for not taking care of the squeaky brakes on my 2015 Audi A6 which I diligently pay every month.

My 2010 Audi Q5 3.2L has a carbon buildup problem that was covered under a 10 year, 120K mile extended warranty due to an Audi created defect. I was NEVER notified by Audi of this problem or the extended warranty. I started to get a CEL over a year ago and my local mechanic tried to resolve the problem multiple times, even replacing air flow parts but it never resolved. I paid the $180 at the Audi dealer to get a full diagnosis and they confirmed the carbon buildup problem. But they wont fix it because I confirmed this issue 2 MONTHS after the 10 year mark (and only 75K mileage) even though the problems started well before. The company has NO GOOD WILL and DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY. It will cost me over $2000 to clean the carbon out -- a known defect that Audi created and now WILL NOT MAKE GOOD ON. It is obvious that they created the problem but they even tried to blame my mechanic for the problem since they dont know what the mechanic might have done to my vehicle. GOOD JOB AUDI -- PASSING THE BLAME ONTO YOUR CUSTOMERS. BUYER BEWARE. I am disgusted at their lack of consideration.

Some of the stories on here are similar to my own... really bad Audi customer service (after sales, of course). Ive been a customer of Audi for 5 yrs and I have to admit I do change them quite often (6 in the 5 yrs). I cash purchase. (I now know its a big no-no to buy cash!... but Id never had a problem before.)Heres just a little of whats been going on with my Audi A4...November 2012...We traveled to Audi in Carlisle and purchased an Audi A4 (61 plate ex demo) for $18,990.18th December, 2012... We had an egg smell coming from the vehicle, we called a local Audi and we were told that the car is new and the smell will disperse as the car is new and the parts sometimes burn off excess oil?23rd December, 2012... During a family day out with the children, we traveled down the A1 to see family and do some last minute Christmas shopping. The smell and heat coming from the vehicle was very apparent, but after a call to Audi, we were told to ignore it, so we did. On the return journey, the car started billowing black smoke, and the heat and smell were strong enough for us to have to pull over and require assistance from RAC/Audi Assistance... We were told that the car had a clutch failure and it had to go into Audi Teesside for repairs.**I required a courtesy car during this period and Audi Assist, who knew I had 3 children, issued me with a 2-seater Audi TT!? This scuppered nearly all of our family Christmas plans, but as my gran was over from Germany and I knew this may be the last Christmas I have with her, I was determined to get to were she was from Teesside. This was a mammoth task with a family of 5 and a 2-seater car. Two of the children nor myself got to see gran before she left, unfortunately (she passed 2 weeks later).**9th January, 2013... I received a call from Gemma ** in Audi customer services to say that my car was being delivered back to me today as it has been fixed. It had apparently needed a new clutch, which had now been done, and we were able to take it back. She had just been informed from the dealers (Teesside Audi) that the work was complete.9th January, 2013... My car was delivered back at lunchtime with an invoice stating that my car had been fitted with a new clutch, and oil had been topped up (under warranty work). So I decided to drive to my local Tesco with my little daughter. Within half a mile, I noticed the smell initially, and the heat followed. I spotted some light smoke coming from the bonnet so I pulled over. I decided to call Teesside and spoke to Mark, who had apparently carried out the work, and I told him what was happening to my car. He said the car is going through what is called a regeneration and I was to ignore it and keep driving. I also rung Gemma and she said he knows what hes talking about, and with a new part, sometimes they give off a smell and I was to do what he said...I drove another mile up the road when my car once again was smoking and other road users and bystanders where signalling for me to pull over... Completely frightened and not knowing what to do, I quickly pulled over, and as I left my vehicle, a fellow driver approached and said that looks dangerous and I was to stand back with the little one... I did so, and he and another man cautiously opened my bonnet. With that, a ball of black smoke and fire shot from the front of my car... I called RAC/Audi Assist who came to me at the roadside. It took him 90 minutes to arrive at the vehicle and he stated that he could smell my car more than 100 yards away. He wouldnt move it whilst the car was still so hot, so he left it to be later recovered by Ron Perry (a tow company)... I called Gemma to let her know and she told me it turned out that Mark in Teesside had not even repaired the car, and she felt awful that shed allowed me to take this vehicle back when they hadnt done anything to it by way of repair... Marks excuse was that he thought I was imagining it!? But he had provided us with an invoice to say these works had been carried out? Gemma said she wasnt happy with what had happened and she felt somewhat responsible, so she advised that I put a formal complaint in writing to the branch about this technician and she was doing the same on her end as she felt partly responsible, and that she was referring my case to the executive office. My car was taken to the Audi Tyneside garage where they discovered that the clutch was completely burnt out and desperately needed replacing. Richard from Tyneside said that if the car had been driven any further, it could of been much worse. (I have to add that Richard and Mark in Tyneside gave me a fantastic level of care and commitment I felt looked after whilst in there capable hands...)2nd February, 2013... I receive a call to say my car is repaired and it can be brought back to me. 8th February, 2013... The car breaks down, clutch slipped. 14th Feb, 2013... I get my car back, but during a road test, it fails and the clutch fails again.21st Feb, 2013... The clutch was replaced again, and once again, I am given my car back. We were away 25th Feb to 11th March, and upon returning, the car wouldnt start. Once again, the car is towed, and were told that the 2nd base plate on the clutch has corroded and it needs another new part (a base plate?) 26th March, 2013... We get our car back, and for the first week or so, it seems to be driving o.k.4th April, 2013... The car has started pulling to the left and the egg smell and smoke has returned, we call RAC and have it towed to a different garage (Harrogate). Maybe some fresh eyes will help and finally give us a car we can use. We receive a call to say that the vehicle may be pulling due to the tyres, so by replacing them, this may help the problem. We paid 500+VAT to have the tyres replaced, only to be told two days later that during further investigation its been found that the clutch has slipped again. We were also told that the new model of Audi has a larger gap for the clutch, but as Audis are using an older model of clutch, the clutch is able to move around and this is why it keeps slipping. A new part is ordered again to replace the small one.22nd April... My car is brought back. Im informed that they couldnt fit the new part as it didnt work. All they could do is tighten the clutch and hope for the best, but during towing it back to me, my car was damaged during transportation. The low load driver couldnt apologise enough for the damage, and after letting me see what had happened, he took it back away again to have the damage repaired... I was utterly devastated and slowly losing faith and patience.29th April 2013... The car is brought back with no damage and the drive of it seems ok.6th May... The car stalls and the smell is back. The car goes in to Harrogate which is were it is now... Ive told them Im fed up now. I spent nearly twenty thousand pounds (which I paid for in cash) for a car which is wholly unreliable. And as Ive been told on at least 5 occasions it is Not fit for purpose, I called Audi and asked what my next step is as I believe Ive given Audi more than ample opportunity to repair my vehicle, which still hasnt happened. I have done everything Audi has asked of me and some and now I cant take anymore. I cant continue to put my children into something that I dont trust and is so unreliable. On the 9th of May, I wrote a letter of rejection for the vehicle to Audi UK and a copy went to the garage I purchased it from. I dont feel Im getting any further forward so Trading Standards Tanvir has requested that he take over this whole case. Hes advising I go to the press and sue for negligence, but this is not really my thing. I just want what I paid for - a prestige car from a prestige company, and as a loyal Audi customer for over 5 years, I dont want to go down this route.Last month, I contacted Martin Winterkorns P.A., who gave me Verena ** (VWG M.D- P.A) contact details name and number, and she said they will be able to help, which wasnt the case. They are now basically saying that if I remove my complaint against the technician, they will help; otherwise, pay for further work myself... The whole thing got passed over to Lee **, an Audi exec, and he is a complete plank who doesnt care about customers... service... duty of care, so Ive sent everything over to Motor Codes and theyre investigating.Sorry, its so long-winded, but I wanted to get all the details in. Does anyone know if theres anything else I can do? Thanks, guys.

Ive purchased a brand new 2013 Audi S5 Cabriolet and took delivery from dealership in middle of 2012 with 4 years/50k warranty. 22 months into the ownership (at 9,500 driven miles) car started to pull to the side and required a wheel alignment at a cost of over $550. I was told that although the mileage was low, this wheel alignment is considered normal wear and tear. Although I strongly disagreed, I ended-up paying for it. Last week while driving, my front left tire completely deflated. After removing the tire in order to replace it with a spare I noticed that the inner part of rubber is showing steal metal belts. Next day I took the car to dealership and was told that:a) Car needs another wheel alignment (it currently has 19,300 miles on it). b) All 4 tires are under 3/32 (as measured by Audi Service Consultant) and need replacement even though they are rated for 50k. Since the car is still under warranty and since this is very odd that another alignments is needed and that I also now need to replace 50k rated tires on a car with 19,300 miles on it I called Audi Corporate office and opened a Case # ** with request for FULL reimbursement of expenses.Unfortunately Audi decided to decline my request, citing wear and tear. Im beyond of being disappointed and strongly disagree that this is normal wear and tear. After consulting with my legal counselor who has advised me that I have over 90% chance of successfully getting Audi to reimburse me for wheel alignment and tires and therefore, in addition to filing this complaint with bbb.org I will also be taking Audi to Small Claims court and will publish verdict with details of the case on as many blog sites as I can find. After all Im certain that Im not the only customer with similar problem and will make other consumers aware of possible issues/pitfalls they may be facing if they buy an Audi! Lack of responsibility by Audi after selling a luxury and expensive automobile in unacceptable and will not go unchallenged.

In March of 2017, I walked into the Audi Mission Viejo, California dealership to have a minor repair on my leased 2014, A8. They said it would take 15-20 minutes so I took the time to look at the new A8 cars that were available. Jon, the salesman came up to me and asked if he could help – I said I was just looking because my lease doesn’t come due for another 2 months. He said, “How would you like to save a couple hundred dollars per month and get a new one today”. My first question was what happens to the old lease where there are 2 more payments due. He said that those payments would be wrapped into the new lease and even then, I would save a couple hundred dollars per month.I explained that this would be the only way I would be interested in getting a new car that day because I was actually thinking of other less expensive cars and wasn’t particularly happy with the service I had received from Audi during the current lease. Enticed by the offer, I ended up picking out a new 2017 A8, and before I left, I realized that I wasn’t even coming close to a couple hundred-dollar savings, in fact the payment was about $60 less. I just accepted this considering that they took back the other car with still two months of payments. He also told me that even if there was some minor wear and tear Audi waives that when you are leasing a new car and “staying part of the family”.Fast forward 2 years and my wife and I are moving to a new home. We are getting a mortgage and something shows up on my credit which is 820 on the FICO scale. I’m told by the bank that I need to do a conference call with Audi and an outside credit company that deals with these situations. During the call, I am told by Edgar at Audi that I still owe $3,236.74 from the 2015 lease. He explained that the amount due was because Audi took a loss when they sold the car, excess wear and tear, and lease payments that were still due. I pointed out to him that I have never seen one single bill via mail or any other form in two years. Also, while I was speaking to him, I checked my online account with Audi which showed all past and current leases and nothing showed there either. He agreed that this is a problem and I should contact my dealer and Audi of America. He also said that this does not show on my credit as something that is outstanding but then, when I pointed out that is why we are having this call, he said that should never had/have an effect on my credit. What am I supposed to do, call Audi every time I need a loan and have my credit checked? I will NEVER have anything to do with Audi or any company affiliated with Audi, they are as crooked as they come.Oh, and by the way, on another subject that you as a consumer should be aware of, several months ago I asked for a copy of the lease for my wife’s 2015 Q7, they ended up sending someone else’s credit application which had a lot of personal information like social security number, DOB, where they work, how much they make, etc. When I called back to let them know, they made the same mistake and sent me yet again someone else’s information. Third try, I finally got a copy of my lease. Bad business is the best I can say for Audi!

I first purchased this vehicle in December 2016. After having the vehicle for a couple of days we noticed that the car jolts forward on the initial start daily. This is a rather aggressive jolt and is not unnoticeable. We contacted the dealership immediately and they stated that it was likely because it was cold outside. Of course come spring the issue remains and we take the vehicle in for service. The dealership claimed to have re-calibrated the transmission and sent the car home. There was no change and the issue remained. Long story short they eventually replaced the transmission and yet the problem remains. The dealership is stumped and claim that they have switched the parts with another Q5 and it also has the issue so the problem is now common to most Q5s so there is nothing wrong with the vehicle and I should come pick it up. Unsatisfied with this response I met with the sales guy who originally sold the vehicle. There is now depreciation on the vehicle and I would be at a loss of $12,000 if I opted to trade the car in. I contacted Audi Canada who investigated the complaint and are now siding with the dealership that this is common with Q5s. There is nothing to be done!! I could of course contact another dealership to see if they had other suggestions... huh?? This is of course after Audi Canada has spent almost $20,000 to repair the problem. One would think that they would have all known it was a common problem before spending all this time and money. Be forewarned anyone looking to purchase a Q5 - this is a common issue that cant be rectified so if you dont enjoy a sudden jolt each day you start your car you might want to stay clear of this purchase.

We all know the Takata airbag recall is huge. But some manufacturers are getting it right, and some are not. AUDI IS NOT. They have limited cars affected by the recall compared to other manufacturers, but my car (2012 Q5) is affected. I called Audi several times and they are not offering any option to pay for a rental car or loaner call. I called the dealer too, but they wont do anything unless Audi pays. Audi told me to call the dealer and then the dealer told me to call Audi. I was just bounced around and around with no answers. My husband owns an Acura and the local dealer paid for his rental car for 2 months while he waited for the replacement part (which came this week). Audi is doing nothing, which I find unacceptable. They want the consumer to be stuck with the risk, which I also find unacceptable. All Audi car owners in this situation should put pressure on Audi to take the approach Acura/Honda is taking (and maybe other manufacturers, I am not sure who else). Based on the experience Ive had, I would never buy another Audi.

Repeated issues with carbon build-up which turns the engine indicator light on. Audi has cleaned the valves previously, at no charge to us acknowledging this problem and that it will likely recur. It has recurred, but now they want $1300 to remove the engine for a thorough cleaning. 2009 was the first year for the Q5 and a fair solution would be to recall this car or take care of the cost for this recurring problem. Audi has declined any further assistance. We will never purchase an Audi again.
